There had been much negotiating between the Boltons, Freys and Lannisters, both before and after the events of the wedding. The Red Wedding, the people were calling it. How appropriate. 

Roose had been pleased with the wedding gifts he received from Lord Tywin. The legitimization of his bastard son, Ramsay. The title of Warden of the North. A marriage arrangement between Ramsay and Arya Stark. 

The gifts from Lord Walder had been nothing to scoff at either. An army of 2,000 Frey men. And the remains of some of the more prominent Northern lords killed at the wedding.

Upon Roose’s return to the Dreadfort, the Dustins and Ryswells were quick to declare for him. Half of House Umber followed suit. And then the Cerwyns, Lockes and Manderlys. The Glovers remained suspicious. And House Mormont had been noticeably silent. Perhaps they thought being on Bear Island would somehow remove them from the events of late. Roose had no intention to allow such a thing.

It was with great pleasure that Roose penned a letter to the last remaining Mormont on Bear Island.

Dear Lady Lyanna,

I send my deepest condolences on the loss of your sister. I am sure you will want her remains returned safely to Bear Island, so I am summoning you to the Dreadfort immediately so you can oversee the transport with your own trusted men. We have much to discuss.
