Jailbait pt.4
Part four in the Jailbait series Warnings: cursing, age gap, drug use Pairing: Black OC x Oscar Taglist: @iliketoreadwrites @thotyana-in-this-hoe @ietss @drewxaesthetic @khearts14 @amiloud-andclear @tian-monique @khearts14 Masterlist pt.1 pt.2 pt. 3 pt.4 pt.5
“What am I going to do? My grandma is going to kill me” I said as I started nervously pacing back and forth.
“We can go to the mall and I can buy you a new phone Mamas” Oscar said as he grabbed my hips.
“No thank you Oscar”,
“Let’s go somewhere. You need to relax a little bit Mamita”
“Where would we go?”
“Who knows” he said smirking at me.
Oscar grabbed my hand and started walking down the bleachers
“What about my stuff?”
“Already handled”
“What?”
“Mamas, stop asking so many questions” he said looking me deep into my eyes.
I don’t understand how a man this beautiful is feared all throughout Freeridge. The only thing spooky about him is how attractive he is. His eyes are enchanting. I could spend all day looking at him, and I’d never get bored.
“Mamita, trust me”
God, why does he have to be so fucking fine. I swear his smile alone makes me weak in the knees. All I could do was nod.
Oscar and I walked hand in hand towards his car, and I see a boy around my age wearing a red flannel standing next to Oscar’s ruby red Impala. The boy looks at Oscar then looks at me, and then looks back at Oscar. I noticed as Oscar and the boy were taking the boy’s gaze started to drift towards me. His eyes looked me up and down. Oscar grabbed the boy’s face roughly this made the boy look back at Oscar.
“Mirame no a ella. Comprende? (Look at me not her. You understand?)” Oscar basically growled at the boy.
“Comprender ( I understand)” he said.
I’ve been around Oscar for practically my whole life, and I’ve never heard his voice get that low. Damn daddy your voice deep as fuck. Wish he was deep in... When Oscar grabbed my hand it brought me back to reality. I was no longer thinking to myself.
“Get in the car Bebita” Oscar said opening the door for me.
“Why”
“What did I say about asking questions”  Oscar whispered into my ear.
“Is that suppose to be a threat” I asked looking him in his eyes.
“Just get in the fucking car” he said with a flat tone.
It sent chills down my spine, and I didn’t want to push his buttons so I got into his car.
“Thank you bebita”
I watched Oscar walk away with his hand firmly placed on the boy’s shoulder.
After five minutes Oscar came back with a expression of annoyance.
“You okay?” I asked placing my hand on Oscar’s knee.
“Yea, I’m okay” he said starting the car.
“Can I play music?”
“No” Oscar said driving away from the school.
“Why not?”
“I’m a cholo I can’t be seen riding around with your girly music playing”
“I’m playing my music” I said connecting my phone to his car as Oscar stopped at a red light.
youtube
“I know you love fucking me” I said singing along and looking at Oscar
“I can tell by the way you in love with me”
“You can't get enough of me“
“Well, I guess it's lookin' like you stuck with me“
As I sang along to the song Oscar kept glancing over at me.
“We be gettin' so loud”
“That dick make my soul smile”
“That dick make me so damn proud”
Oscar put his hand on my thigh, and I looked up at him. I couldn’t help but stare at him. The sun was hitting him at every right angle. His jawline was sharp and strong. My eyes just kept traveling lower and lower as I started at him. From his jaw, to his neck, his shoulder, his arms, and his chest. He was built like something from every woman's fantasy.
“You see something you like” He asked as he squeezed my thigh.
“No, I’m just thinking” I said turning away from him.
“What you thinking about Mamas” he said sliding his hand higher up my skirt.
“Who was that boy”
“His name is Miguel. Why?” He asked looking at me.
“He’s kinda cute” I said laughing.
When I said that Oscar hit his brakes hard as if he was brake checking someone. It made the car jerk, and I would’ve hit my face on the dashboard if Oscar didn’t stick his arm out to stop me from jerking forward.
“What the fuck Oscar?”
He just looked at me and didn’t answer my question.
“Oscar you mad” I asked as we pulled into a parking lot.
Oscar turned to me and grabbed my neck, and looked me in my eye.
“I’m not mad, Mamita”
“It was just a joke”
“Ha ha ha. You’re not funny” He said with a monotone voice.
“You gonna let go of my neck yes, or no?” I asked
“I don’t know, should I?” he asked smirking at me.
“Well if you don’t let go then we can’t do whatever you planned”
“What if this is what I planned?” He said kissing my face and leaving a small trail of kisses down my neck.
“Stop playing, Oscar”
“You no fun mamita” he said as he got out of the car, and walked around to open my door.
I watched as Oscar opened his trunk and grabbed a black bag.
“What’s that?”
“It’s a surprise” he said as he grabbed my hand.
Oscar and i walked around the beach and played in the sand. He opened the bag and took out a red beach towel. He sat down and patted the place next to him. I sat next to him, and watched as he grabbed the blunt behind his ear and lit it. He took a hit and offered it to me, and I declined.
“You don’t smoke bebita?”
“No, not really I have bad asthma. So whenever I’m around intense smoke I choke”
“Sorry, I didn’t know” he said as he put out the blunt in the sand.
“You didn’t have to do that. We’re in an open area so it doesn’t bother me that much”
Osar suddenly stood up and picked me up.
“Osar what are you doing” I asked as he started to walk towards the ocean.
“I wanna play in the ocean”
“Play by yourself. Put me down”
“So does that mean I should drop you here mamita” He asked as he stood knee deep in the water.
“Don’t you dare fucking drop me”
“I won’t drop you mami, this water is cold as fuck”
Oscar kept walking deeper into the ocean.
“Aren’t you worried about your clothes getting wet”
“No, are you?”
“No, not really. I’m more scared of how cold the water is”
Oscar continued to walk, and all of sudden I feel my body hit the cold water. The sea water gets in my eyes and mouth.
“You bitch, You said you wouldn’t drop me” I said trying to hit Oscar.
“There was a dip in the sand, and it made me fall” he said laughing”
“Oscar it got in my eyee” i said whining.
“That’s what she said” he said laughing harder.

Something More [ P. 2 ]
Summary: Eliza Cortez, a good friend of Mario Martinez, Ruby’s brother. The two met in college and in this story she came back with Mario to bring the news about Amber. She stays in Freeridge and doing so leads her to meet Oscar Diaz otherwise known as Spooky. Will Eliza have simply one night with the male or will this turn into something more?
Warning: N/A
A few days passed, luckily for Eliza, she had some family in Freeridge, meaning she wouldn’t be taking up more room in the Martinez household. She stayed with her grandmother and younger sister Lisanna. Speaking of, Eliza was relaxing with her sister Lisanna, who was in fact around the age of the core 4, during their time a knock was heard on the door.
Eliza got up from the couch and opened the door to a Mario with a smirk on his face, “Oh dear goodness, what did you do now Mario.” she asked with a raised brow and a smirk herself. “Santos party. Me, you, and Ruby.” he spoke. ‘“Ruby?” she asked. Mario sighed, “Ruby hasn’t been himself the pass few days, so Spooky and I thought we’d show him a good time, they’re there already but I came to get you, my good friend. So yes or no?” Eliza stood and thought about it for a bit. “Hell yeah!” she said. She ran inside to get dressed and soon they were on their way.
The music was blasting and both Eliza and Mario spotted Ruby with some nice appetizers around him and organized drinks. Ruby soon spotted the both of them and shouted happily, “Ayeeeee! Mario and Eliza in the houseeee!!” some of the Santos turned to look at the both of them. Eliza felt awkward once attention was dragged towards her. She wore her basic clothing, feeling like this was like any day ever. A simple red hoodie with some black leggings and combat boots.
The brunette blinked awkwardly as the both of them walked to Ruby. When Eliza stood in front of him and punched his shoulder, “Dude! Don’t draw attention to me like that again.” she spoke, causing the young male to roll his eyes. Silence fell and Eliza looked around, “This is my first Santos party you know. Seems very- together I guess you could say.” Honestly, she didn’t know what to say, she didn’t feel uncomfortable, she felt like she was just there.
Overtime, Mario went god knows where after seeing his ex and Ruby was just being around girls. They both left the girl behind, she soon caught a smell of fajitas and walked over to the smell, if there was something she enjoyed at a party, food.
Eliza spotted a male at the grill and confidently walked towards, “Smells good.” she spoke.
The male turned to look at her and that’s when she realized who she was speaking to, which was none other than Spooky as they referred to him as. He nodded and smirked, “Thanks.” he paused, “I haven’t seen you around here, saw you walk in with Mario, y’all friends?” he asked. Eliza smiled and nodded, “Yeah, I go to college with him, also older than him” she let out a nervous chuckle. “Names Eliza, by the way.”
He stared her down, checked her out even, “Spooky” he spoke, the words exiting his mouth smoothly. His voice was nice too and Eliza was already in detective mode, investigating his body language, tone, and such.
This was when she knew how close she was paying attention, she gained an attraction to this man.
An attraction that would never die down, an attraction that he had also shared.
Notes: Giggles in cliffhanger. But I hope y’all are enjoying the story! I know it’s not that well done but I’m trying, especially since I enjoy writing. Hope you have a good day / night !  Also, my bad for the chapters being short, I tend to have a bad attention span so I write short more:)

"Fuck, wait,"
A barely audible whimper rose from her lips, slightly swollen from all the nibbling he had done to them whenever they connected to his. He was greedy. He had waited years to feel her skin against his, to hear her desperate tone when she called out his name, begging for him to slow down or go faster, or go harder. Kimmy was etched into his brain from the minute he met her, she was a good person, an amazing girl to be around-- he often thought why she chose him. He didn't deserve her but he thanked God that she was still by him.
"Spooky... oh!"
He kissed her forehead, down her nose bridge and soon her lips-- a very brief kiss before he went down to her chin. He'd savour her taste, her smell. Her sweet scent, so intoxicating he could drown. Kimmy's hands rested on his back, her fingers slowly curling and nails digging into his skin, her legs wrapped around his waist desperately attempting to slow him down but failing miserably. "I can't cum again, please! Shit!"
"Oh, baby, come on. One more time for me?"
She shook her head. He stopped thrusting, he pulled her legs from their locked position and pressed down on the back of her thighs pushing her two limbs up to her shoulders. She held onto his forearms as he pulled back, all the way out, she breathed a sigh of relief and dropped her head on the mattress. Kimmy was tired, she was spent, and if she closed her eyes she'd fall asleep in seconds. Oscar smirked taking this opportunity to lean down and attach himself to her neck.
She giggled feeling the bit of facial hair tickle her sweaty skin. Her eyes widened as she felt his wet, sticky tip teasing her hole. Her toes curled, she was trapped under his weight. His warm lips led up to her earlobe, gently kissing the earrings he had bought her while he was gone. "You have no idea how much I missed you."
If it was one thing Oscar could do, it was sweet talk his way out of anything with her. She was his sucker though she hated to admit it. Don't get it twisted, the feelings were mutual, he would do anything for her. "I thought about you every day, I missed that face, that pretty smile, that voice... seeing that shit only once in a while was not cutting it."
She was his home. And it was nice coming home after four years in that cold ass cell. Alone with those thoughts, small doubts about if she'd even wait for him, but the constant visits and phone calls proved she was still around for him. He carefully guided himself back inside her warmth, a bit more sensitive this time around, the two moaned in unison. "I fucking love you." He muttered, her lips parted attempting to return the words but they got caught up in her throat once he returned back to his sinister actions. The slow strokes, the sloppy kisses, the overall intimacy of it all-- she couldn't express how much she missed this. Her eyes fell to the back of her head once he was pressing against her spot, he knew her body way too well.
Oscar continuously slammed into the same spot, not change of pace or direction, he was pulling their body's to the edge in the desperate chase to relieve her of her growing orgasm and his own. He cupped her face in his hand, his palm taking up a majority of her cheek. "You're so fucking pretty taking me like this."
"Oscar- don't fucking stop!"
He smirked at her plea, especially when she was begging him to stop not too long ago. She was becoming tighter, warmer and wetter. Her grip on him became loose, her back arched, "Fuuuuuck! Yeeeess!"
Oscar chuckled breathlessly feeling every part of her body shake. She spilled onto him, he provided his last stroke, burying himself deep inside her filling her up with his seed until he was sure he was empty. Kimmy lazily giggled pressing her hand on his lower stomach. "Why are you trying to kill on your first day back home?"
He dropped his head and laughed, he kissed her nose and pulled back out watching their combined pleasures ooze out of her tired, but very satisfied, hole. He got off the bed and made his way to the washroom to grab a clean rag and wet it down with warm water. He noticed on his way back that his girl was watching him with an amused face. "What?" He asked before wiping her down. "You don't change huh?"
"Why would I change taking care of you?"
The question made her blush, she felt like a lovestruck fool around him. She was shy all of a sudden. Once he was finished he returned to the washroom to wipe himself down, Kimmy snaked her way under the covers and involuntarily closed her eyes. Oscar flicked the lights off and crept into bed next to her, her eye popped open and a grin appeared on her face. It was good to have him back in their bed, where he belonged.
He pulled her closer, she nuzzled against his chest, her nail running down his tattoo. "I could never spend another four hours, let alone another four years without you." Kimmy smiled against his skin, she wasn't sure she believed it-- she loved him but he had no idea how agonizing it is to watch the person you love taken away from you on more than one occasion, how many times she wanted to quit on him but her heart wouldn't let her.
She could do the few months, maybe a year but four years had become too much for her. He noticed her lack of response. "I promise you, I'm not leaving you like that again."
"Good." She mumbled. "You belong here, at home."
It wasn't too long before she could hear his snores, a sound that annoyed her to the bitter end but was deeply missed in his absence. She kissed his chest whispering. "I love you." Her eyes closed once again, happy to finally be sleeping in his arms.

It had been like any other night for Yolanda she was in her home relaxing listening to music as she began to unwind from her stressful day full of classes and work. When one of her favorite songs came on, They Don’t Know by Jon B. This song brought back so many memories she didn’t even know where to start honestly.
This was one of her go to songs when she had issues with her ex-boyfriend Oscar, it put their relationship into words better than she ever could. And at times she misses when things were simpler for them, the as of recent. Things were good for them until he went to jail, she stayed with him for the short bid that he had but when he got out. Things felt like they were spiraling out of control.
With her little brother finding the Roller World money, Cesar dealing with the stress of being jumped into Los Santos, it felt like she was in a never ending mess. Not to mention trying to help them with their issues, she neglected the issues in her relationship until it was too late.
The whole situation is funny to her, how she waited so long to be able to hold him and now when they see each other it’s like looking at a stranger.
“Oh, my darling, I've been missing. You for quite some time”
Some days she just missed being able to stop by his house after work and just be held by him as she went on about his day. Just hearing his voice made her day better, and now to not even acknowledge each other’s existence hurts on a different level, she feels like a five year relationship was just thrown away and still having to see him. Because her baby brother got her into his bullshit.
Yolanda let out a shaky sigh wiping the tears the managed to roll down her face. Once she managed to stop herself from crying over a lost love, she got up from her couch going into the kitchen to refill her glass of wine. Sometimes she just wondered does he miss her the same way she misses him. Or is he happy without her?
“Oh, my darling I am getting closer, hold on tight. And I, know it hasn't been so easy. I'm fighting for my life.”
Across town Oscar at his dining room table thinking about his meeting with Cuchillos, he realized how little his family meant to Los Santos. He had given up too many things in his life to not mean anything to that woman or this gang. He gave up a chance to get out of the hood to help his little brother, and the one person he loved.
And knowing he could be thrown away like trash tomorrow didn’t sit right with him at all. He needed to find a way to get out of Los Santos and to get Cesar out too, and to make sure the other kids got out of the situation alright too.
Running his hand down his face, he lets out a frustrated sigh picking up his phone. It had been months since he had talked to her, but she was the only person he could think to turn to with everything he’s dealing with right now.
He should’ve listened to her when he had an easier way out with Cesar and the kids being completely safe. He mindless went to her contact as he thought over if she would even answer. And before he knew it he had dialed her number and was waiting for her to answer.
After five rings she picked up, with a cracked voice. “Hello?”
Clearing his throat, he began speaking. “Hey, mamas I know it’s been a while since we talked but honestly I just need your advice on somethings.”
This caused Yolanda to chuckle softly. “Do you need my advice, or my presence is the real question Oscar, and you know where I stay.” After that she hung up, leaving him feeling a little lighter.
Before leaving he sent Cesar a quick text telling him he’d be out for a while and not to wait up for him. He got in his Impala and made his way across town to see Yolanda, and to say he was nervous would be an understatement.
Soon enough he was at her apartment complex, and as soon as he pulled up to her building he saw her outside on her balcony smoking wearing the robe her bought her last Christmas with a glass of wine next to her. A small smile graced his face as he watched her for a moment before getting out of the car and making his way up to her place.
Before he could even knock on the door, Yolanda opened it letting him inside. So, what do I owe this visit to?” She questioned looking him up and down before closing the door and locking it.
“Uh, shit’s just gotten out of hand- oh really now?” Yolanda cut him off with a feigned confusion.
Which caused Oscar to smack his lips annoyance. “I can never just tell yo’ mean ass what I’m going through can I?”
Shrugging Yolanda went into her fridge grabbing him a beer that her dad had left from when they had family dinner at her place a few days ago. She passed it to him before taking a seat next to him on the couch. She gave him a look to continue what he was saying before she had interrupted.
“But things have gotten out of hand, and I just need to get me and Cesar out of here. This isn’t what I wanted for him at all, I wanted better for the both of us and now we’re stuck here under that egotistic bitch and we don’t even fucking matter to her. She doesn’t give a fuck that they could die because of the shit she wanted them to do. Like they’re literally just kids.” She continued to listen to him as he went on about everything that had turned his world even further upside down since their split.
No less than a few hours later she ended up holding Oscar as he cried of frustration, soothing him telling him everything was gonna be alright. And she really hoped that it would be because she could tell there was only so much more that he could take, and as much as she’s pissed of how their relationship ended she didn’t want to see him any worse than he was at the moment.
“Look, I know we ended on a bad note-Yolanda proceeded to give him a look of annoyance- alright, an awful not but I wanna make things right. And I will once I figure out how to get the kids out of this. You just gotta trust me.” Yolanda looked over his features studying him to see if he was telling the truth.
The look in his eyes really said it all, he wanted a better life for them. And she knew he’d do whatever it takes to make sure they would have a better chance along with their younger siblings.
“Alright, I’ll trust you, but you can’t just leave me in the dark with this. I need to make sure you’re okay, don’t just shut me out.”
No more than a week had went by after Oscars visit to Yolanda’s apartment, and she hadn’t heard much from him. But she did overhear her little brother talking to Ruby about what Oscar was planning to do to Cuchillos. And she couldn’t help but feeling a looming threat of anxiety knowing that this situation could go south at any given time. And she wanted them to be able to leave Los Santos for a better life she just didn’t want him to die trying to.
At the moment she was making her way home from a long day of work when she got a call from Ruby’s Abuelita telling her to stop by she had something for her. Confused as she was Yolanda still decided to go knowing that Aubelita knew about some of the stuff the kids were dealing with, so she would be getting some info on something.
Once she pulled up to Martinez residence she made her way to the front door where Aubelita was standing rushing her inside. Before she could even ask any questions about what was going on she saw Oscar sitting at the dining room table drinking a forty with his neck cut up. Quickly rushing over to him, she carefully inspected him and the stitching she assumed Aubelita had done.
“Baby, wh-what happened? Are you okay, does this have anything to do with- Can we talk about it later I promise we will, can we just go back to yours.” Yolanda stared at him for a few moments a look of concern clouded her facial expressions.
Oscar could tell that she was conflicted on how to feel with what little she knew, and he wanted to clear it up for her but all he needed right now was to just relax with her.
“I promise mamas I will.” Nodding Yolanda kissed his forehead before turning towards Aubelita thanking her for taking care of Oscar and that’d shed find some type of way to repay her.
The couple quickly made their way to Yolanda’s car just wanting to distress in the safety of her home. Once they were settled in the car Landa finally started asking questions.
“Does the cut have anything to do with Cuchillos? And when were you going to tell me that you were handling her?” Her voice shook as she made a turn onto her street.
“They do and I had to, I told you I wanted better for us and that’s what I’m trying to do. I’m tired of this shit, of looking over my shoulder every damn day. I want to settle down have a family, a normal life and not worry about none of this sht. And I want that with you and that bitch was the only thing standing in the way. So, I took care of her.” By the time Oscar had finished his emotion filled speech they were parked in front of the apartment building.
The couple stared at each other for a few moment before Yolanda let out a nervous sigh. “I’m not mad that you did it. You did what you had to do, just next time you do something like that talk to me first. I shouldn’t have to hear about this through Jamal’s big mouth ass when Cesar call him. Now come on let’s get you inside.
“There's no need to worry love .Look around it's glorious. Close your eyes and taste the sun”.
Oscar sighed setting down the last of the boxes before making his way outside where Yolanda and her family were talking. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder kissing her temple, the couple exchanged a smile before she went back to talking to her mom.
Less than two years ago things were different for the couple. They weren’t even together and now their engaged and living the life Oscar had to kill for them to have and he couldn’t be happier. Now, they’re standing on the lawn of their home with sun beating down their neck talking to his soon to be in-laws about the final details of their baby shower. Looking around the neighborhood they had just bought their first home in he couldn’t help but feel overjoyed that this was the start of a life he always pictured with the love of his life.

“Ay, then tell that hyna, get at me!” One of the santos says which causes an uproar of laughter between them. You roll your eyes and chuckle to yourself while taking a sip from the red cup of beer.
You never really went out on the weekends due to being such a homebody but on the rare occasion that you do head out, it’s usually to spend time with your older brother, Jose, aka Sad Eyes. Mostly it’ll be lunch and the occasion movie nights but sometimes you tag along to the Santo parties held at Spooky’s house.
Ah, Spooky... the biggest and baddest Santo of them all. His homies fear him just as the community does. All it takes is a look from him to have people turning away quickly. But you know otherwise, the big bad Santo is the sweetest person you know.
When Oscar is around everyone he machismo comes out hardcore and to help him maintain that reputation, you don’t call him out on it though they are many times that you want to with how he likes to run his mouth.
“Man, I’m telling you. She gotta have the bombest kitty on the block!” Joker, one of the santos, calls out. The guys egg him on about one of the girls he’s slept with as he pretends to smack an ass in front of him.
Oscar laughs and looks at the smaller homie of his, “The tightest I ever fucked.” Joker quickly stops what he was doing and straightens up. There wasn’t some kind of unspoken rule amongst them when it comes to hitting it with random chicks, especially if they aren’t tied down. But when the girls have slept with Spooky, the other homies don’t even try to compare to him.
“Why you think the hyna was walking all weird and shit last week? I got Sad Eyes sister next.” He laughs as the others begin to join him. You are sat across the yard, watching them all converse. You almost spit your out your drink when you hear the last part. Jose gives Spooky a look, the only one who can.
You quirk your eyebrows and look at him when his eyes meet yours. You shake your head with an amused face on. He only winks at you. You get up and head to the snack table, helping yourself to a few chips. Oscar walks over and stands besides you, his back to table.
“How’s your night?” His voice has always been something you could find yourself getting addicted to, no matter the dumb things he’d say. You shovel  guac into your mouth, pondering how to answer.
Your shoulder shrug upwards as you side eye him, “S’going alright. Gotta rearrange my schedule next week since you say you gonna get me next. Tuesday okay for you?” He looks at you, mouth agape and chuckles a little. You cut him off before he can respond.
“You don’t fool me, you know. You act tough, but I know it’s an act. You’re really a softie. Especially for me. Which is why you say all those things to your compas but when it’s you and I? It’s nothing but soft, pillow talk. You want get me but you’ve already had me... like last night, when I was on my knees. But clearly you don’t want them to know about us or how you’re the sweetest man,” You turn and caress his chin, playing with his goatee.
Oscar is speechless looking down at you, his heart doing that dumb skip a beat thing and his pants getting tighter at the same time.

Little Monsters
Tumblr media
Prompt 11. Little one coming to sleep with you after having a bad dream
Paring: Oscar x reader
Requested by @briannab1234
You laid on your back watching tv as Oscar laid on your chest with his arm wrapped around you. It was around 12 o’clock and you two were nowhere near tired. Valentina had been put to bed around 8 and the only thing that could be heard was the tv.
You heard her before you saw her, and then the door opened. Valentina climbed in the bed and laid on top of Oscar, adding the extra weight on you.
“What’s wrong bub?” You rubbed her head full of curls and twisted a few.
“I had a bad dream about monsters in my room.” She played with one of Oscar's ears, a habit she’s had since she was born.
“Let’s go look for the monsters then.” Oscar got out of bed and walked down the hall to Vals room with her thrown over his shoulder. He searched the closet, the drawers, even outside the window.
“Look under the bed daddy.” He sighed and got down on his knees to look under the bed. He stuck his arm under the bed and started yelling causing Valentina to scream and cry too.
You walked over to him and smacked him on the back of the head. “Oscar stop!”
You grabbed Valentina and walked back to your room, “you can sleep with me tonight ok.”
Oscar came back down the hall and tried coming into your shared bedroom but you stopped him. “And you can sleep in the monster room, just to make sure there's no monsters for sure.”
You turned to Valentina, “how’s that sound Vale?” She gave you a thumbs up and laid back down.
“Great! So tell daddy good night.” You held the door open for their exchange and turned back to Oscar.
“Night daddy.” You pecked his lips and shut the door. You could hear him groan on the other side but that didn’t stop you from laying down and going to bed with your baby.

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
An amused look was on your face as you watched Oscar shuffle the boys out of the door, Cesar and Jamal’s attempts at bidding you a goodnight failing terribly when their words were cut off by the door slamming in their faces.
“Aren’t our brothers just the cutest?” You voiced, a set of eyes cutting towards you before a not so thrilled grunt was used as a reply.
Oscar grabbed two handfuls of the candy that you had brought over earlier and made his way over, his body dropping next to yours on the couch and you watched as the collection of sugary goods flooded his lap. The both of you passed time by eating and chit-chatting about normal stuff, or as normal as things could be for the leader of one of the most notorious gangs in Freeridge. You allowed him to rant a bit and he made sure to talk without saying too much. He didn’t want you worrying about his dealings and you couldn’t lie and say that you wanted to know more than what he was letting on. You’d catch the specks of blood on his clothing, see him slipping a silencer into his pants pockets before he’d kiss you goodbye, and let’s not even talk about the countless rumors that you’d hear people whisper behind your back. You knew what you were getting yourself into when you decided to start seeing him, but it didn’t make the relationship any easier.
“Are you happy?” He asked suddenly.
The question came out of the blue and you paused from unwrapping your third mini snickers to look at him. He looked relaxed as he sat in the corner of the couch, man-spreading with one arm stretched out behind you and the other on the couch armrest. His face on the other hand was a different story. You could tell that he was deep in thought, those eyebrows of his that always gave away his true feelings were furrowed and down, nose defined and nostrils slightly flared.
“Of course I’m happy.” You answered without much thought, Oscar’s head turning to you but he was still looking away. “I’m happy here. With you, my family, your family-”
“What family?”
“Oscar.”
“All I got is my hermano and even then.”
He stopped himself before he could go any further and when you leaned in closer in an attempt to make him look at you, he purposely kept his eyes away. Calling out his name didn’t help, not even when you tried holding his chin and turning his face to you. You pushed the excess candy from the couch and his lap, the small pieces hitting the floor before you were cuddling up against him. Knowing that he was keeping things to himself made you scared and the random question of your happiness put you on edge even more. People didn’t just ask that all willy nilly. Something was bothering him, something that he didn’t seem eager to share.
“You know what would make me reeeeally happy? Going away with you.” Your fingers played with the cross that hung around his neck. “I don’t care where we go. An hour away .. ten hours away. It doesn’t matter. I just want us to get away from everything for a little bit. I don’t want you worrying or having to look over your shoulder. Just somewhere nice. Somewhere with no problems.”
You ended your words with a smile at the image you had playing in your head. Oscar’s carefree grin as you both walked hand in hand like a normal couple. It’s not like you guys couldn’t do that now, but with the heat that had been going on with the Santos, Prophets and now 19th Street, Oscar didn’t like you going out alone or with him, which sucked. He was scared that he would get caught up while out and didn’t want you being a witness to anything, or worse. You already had a few quick run-ins with some knuckleheads that were trying to scare you while you were out shopping and Oscar damn near went crazy when he heard the news from said knuckleheads and not you. That earned you a not so nice speech about hiding things from him and you remembered him talking to you as if you were a child before you calmed him down with a couple kisses and much more later that night. Looking up at him, you pressed your lips against his lower cheek.
“What would make you happy?”
“Adult problems.”
You tilted your head to the side and scoffed.
“Fool, now why would you want-“
“I want to own a house. Maybe have a wife, a kid. All I have right now is resentment and missed opportunities. I don’t want that shit no more. It’s time to give it away. Start a new chapter.”
You were taken aback by his sudden confession. Oscar had never spoken about having a life away from his current one, he just always seemed worried about making sure that Cesar didn't follow in the path that his grandfathers, father and now brother had. The way he talked let you know that this had been on his mind for quite some time and although it made your heart smile that he had hope of a life away from the gang, you knew that it wouldn't be so easy to get out even though he was the leader. You didn't know how the Santos worked when it came to leaders stepping down, but your binges of Gangland let you know that it wouldn't be a walk in the park. Just imaging him trying to leave and them ... you stopped yourself before your mind could run wild and decided to lighten the mood.
"A wife? Is she gonna be a fine ass chica?"
His cheeks rose and body jumped as he smirked loudly, those being the same words he had used on you when you both first met. You remembered giving him a hard time about how that wasn't the correct way to approach you, but you couldn't deny the fact that his accent mixed with that sly smile of his had you smitten and thinking of him for the rest of that night.
"She's gonna be you so yeah."
Sucking your teeth, you rolled your eyes playfully and moved off of him only for him to pull you back and situate you on his lap this time. His face was back to being serious, but you kept a smile on your face as he placed your hand on his chest, the steady beat of his heart making you caress the skin with your thumb.
"Mi corazĂłn late por ti."
You rose your brow, waiting for him to translate his words like he always did when he spoke to you in Spanish, but instead he ignored your puzzled expression and kept going.
"Y mi amor por ti, esta mierda es real."
He tightened his lips and nodded at his words, his arms wrapping around your waist as he laid his head against you. You smiled to yourself and used your unoccupied hand to hold him snug against you, his arms tightening as though he was scared that you would try to move away like last time.
“I don’t know what you just said, but I heard love so same.” You laughed when he leaned back and shook his head, large hands lifting up and cupping your face softly before he was moving upwards and running them across your scalp until they met at the back of your head. He moved his fingers back and forth and you watched his eyes follow the movement of your slightly frizzy braid out bouncing up and down all over the place, your head being pulled towards him before his lips met yours softly.
“Wanna work on them kids now?” He mumbled against your lips and you watched his eyes squint as he smiled.
“So now it’s kids?”
“My shit’s potent chica.”

*four years ago*
“Here, I got your nasty ass red bull.”
Camila walked up to the Diaz household, clutching a plastic bag full of chips, snacks and drinks from the bodega only a block or two away. She walked over to Oscar who was standing in front of his precious impala, tinkering with something under the hood. He’d always tried to teach her about cars, about how to fix something under the hood should she ever find herself stranded - the only thing she managed to retain was how to properly change a flat tire.
“Nasty ass? You just don’t have good taste, Mila.” Oscar wiped his hands down with a rag, turning to look down at the short, dark haired girl. He threw a smirk her way as he took the cold can from her hand, opening it and having a drink. She gave an airy chuckle.
“Clearly I don’t if I’m friends with you.” The raven haired female started walking up the path that led up the front steps of the house.
“You should consider yourself lucky, shorty.” Mila lifted her hand, middle finger up. She heard Oscar’s rumbling laughter behind her and a smile of her own came to her face. She pushed open the wooden door, walking into the familiar house that she’d been in plenty of times before. Sitting on the couch was Sofia, Oscar’s younger sister.
“Hey bambii,” She greeted the young teenager. “I got the water balloons. Where’s Cesar?” At her words, the youngest Diaz sibling came bounding into the living room.
“Right there.” Sofia said, giving Mila a sarcastic smile. The older female rolled her eyes.
“I can see that, smart ass. Hola Cesar.” She walked over and ruffled the young Diaz’s hair, to which he promptly pushed her hand away, but he wore that big smile on his face. “Ruby’s coming later. Mama made him stay and clean his room.” She snickered. “But I got the water balloons. Are you traviesos gonna help me?”
With young Sofia and Cesar standing beside her, the three got to work with filling the colorful water balloons up with water - they were laughing, smiling, and definitely making a mess with the water. “Oscar’s gonna be mad that we’re spilling all this water.” Cesar sad as he tried tying one of the balloons, some of the water spilling onto the floor.
“Not at Mila, you know he can never be mad at his girlfriend.” Sofia teased, wearing that smirk that was so similar to Oscar’s. Camila rolled her eyes, gently pushing the Diaz girl.
“Callate mocosa. You know I ain’t his girlfriend.”
“Mhm, whatever you saaay.” From beside Camila, Cesar was snickering, laughing at the playful bickering between the two females. The older of the three wet her fingers with the water running under the tap and she flicked it at Sofia.
“Shh. Cállate, Nina. Come on, grab that. Let’s go. Maybe if we sneak up on Oscar, we can get him with some water balloons.” Armed with a bucket of water balloons, the three sauntered out of the kitchen, past the dining room, the living room and finally out the front door. Camila grabbed a red water balloon from the bucket that Cesar was holding, meanwhile Sofia grabbed another. Together, the two females crept forward - Oscar was busy under the hood of the car, some music playing softly from a speaker.
“One.. two.. three..” The two threw the water balloons at Oscar, though their aim was a bit off - Camila’s balloon hit the drivers side door meanwhile Sofia’s hit the hood. Oscar stood up straight, on high alert - his eyes were darting back and forth, looking at his surroundings, but he deadpanned when he saw the culprits. Cesar was laughing, as were the two girls.
“You two are lucky that shit didn’t go inside the car.” He spoke. He grabbed the hood and slammed it down, closing it.
“Yeah? What would’ve happened if it had?” Sofia questioned her big brother, crossing her arms over her chest, giving him that devilish smirk that she was perfecting. But Mila could see the playfulness shining in her big brown eyes, sparkling under the afternoon sun.
“Aye Cesar, come here.” Ever the loyal little brother, Cesar went bounding over to Oscar. Oscar ruffled his brother’s hair and then reached into the bucket to grab one of the water balloons, tossing it from hand to hand. Camila had started backing up, a little smile creeping up onto her face. Sofia had started backing away too. “I don’t know. Wanna find out?”
“Oscar.. Oscar, don-“
Oscar raised his arm to throw the water balloon at Camila and Sofia, who had fully prepared to run back up those steps and into the house, but it never came. It never came because the sound of police sirens filled their ears.
Now, considering that they lived in Freeridge, an inner city riddled with gang violence and crime, hearing police sirens and gunshots wasn’t out of the ordinary. They grew up around it, they were used to it, as sad as it was to say. Especially the Diaz siblings who’d grown up in and around a gang. But what was alarming was the fact that police car came racing down the street that Oscar lived in.
It almost seemed like time slowed down as the cop car came to a halt in front of the house - people poked their heads through their windows to watch the scene unfold, some people had stepped out of their house to watch. The smile that Camila wore was wiped off her face in an instant and it felt like someone had dumped an entire bucket of ice water on her. It felt like she was watching a scene straight out of a movie play out in front of her.
Two officers stepped out of their police cruiser and approached Oscar, hands hovering their guns. Oscar’s face had gone deadly serious - his jaw was clenched, but his eyes.. his eyes had a sort of.. acceptance in them. Almost as if he knew what was coming, almost as if he knew it was gonna happen.
“Oscar Diaz?” One of the police officers asked him. Oscar said nothing, just nodded his head. “I’m gonna need you to drop that, put your hands above your head.”
“Oscar?” Cesar asked. “Oscar what’s happening?”
“Oscar, what’s going on?” Sofia spoke up, sounding every bit as alarmed as they were all feeling. But Oscar.. Oscar kept that stoic expression on his face. He didn’t resist. He didn’t fight. He didn’t run. He did as told. The balloon he was holding in his hand exploded against the pavement as he dropped it, water wetting the concrete. He raised his hands up and the police officers stepped closer to him.
“Oscar- No. No what are you doing! Stop!” The bucket of balloons that Cesar was holding fell to the ground in a heap as he rushed forward. Mila sprang forward, gathering the youngest Diaz and pulling him back. Tears had gathered in her eyes as she locked eyes with Oscar. She could see the emotion swimming in those chocolate pools of his - a thousands wordless emotions coming at her all at once.
“W-What’s going on? Why are you arresting him?!” Mila finally found her voice, albeit shaky and heartbroken, as she cradled Cesar’s cry and shaking form close to her body. She walked back over to Sofia and cradled the young 14, soon to be 15 year old in the same fashion. She was holding them in a desperate attempt to shield them from watching their brother, their only parental figure, be hauled off in handcuffs.
“Stop! Let him go!” Sofia cried out as the officers handcuffed Oscar once they searched him for any drugs or weapons. With his hands handcuffed behind his back, Oscar was hauled off to the cop car, and that was when the real screaming and crying started. Sofia started thrashing in Mila’s arms, desperately trying to break free from Mila’s hold. And Cesar, he did the opposite - he was holding onto Mila as tight as he possibly could, crying out for Oscar.
“Oscar! No, please! Let him go!” Mila couldn’t keep the tears at bay as she watched her best friend shoved into that police car. By now it seemed that the entire neighborhood was standing outside and watching the heartbreaking scene unfold. Watching as young adult Oscar Diaz was arrested, watching as his young best friend did her best to console his crying siblings all the while her own heart was completely shattering in her chest.
“No! Oscar!” Sofia managed to break free from Camila and rushed forward, but one of the police officers attempted to stop her, keep her from reaching her brother. “Get away! If you come near me, I will fight you!” She choked out between cries.
“Stay here, papito. Stay, okay?” Mila rushed over to Sofia and grabbed the girl who was desperately fighting, desperately trying to reach Oscar. “Fia.. Sofia, please.. Come on, come on..” Her own words were broken, completely full of hurt, but she needed to be strong. She had to be.
It was then that Sofia completely broke down. She stopped fighting, she stopped struggling - she buried her face in Camila’s shoulder and cried. All the older female could do was hold her. Hold her tight. She couldn’t say that everything would be okay because she didn’t - she didn’t know if everything was gonna be okay. Cesar walked forward, red faced and teary eyed and hugged his older sister and the girl that had almost become like a mother figure to him in the time that he’d known her.
With her arms locked around the youngest Diaz siblings, Camila locked eyes with Oscar, sitting in the back of the cop car. Their eyes met and his face faltered for a bit - his hardened expression dropped, his eyes shining with what she perceived as unshed tears. She could almost read the thought that was at the forefront of his mind;
‘Take care of them.’
And so she did.
—————
Four years ago seemed like a lifetime ago. An eternity. Yet at the same time, it felt like just yesterday.
Camila Martinez and Oscar Diaz had met back in high school. He was a sophomore and she was barely a freshman. Her first year in high school and she had been rather nervous. Excited to finally be in high school, but she couldn’t shake those nerves that she felt. She had ended up meeting Oscar when she was trying to get her locker open - she had been an overzealous little freshman, holding way too many books than her small body could even support, and on top of that, she couldn’t seem to figure out how to get her damned locker open.
Oscar had been walking by with a few of his friends and he’d spotted her struggling. She was barely balancing her books in her arms all the while trying to open her locker and while he found it completely comical, the young sophomore couldn’t just walk pass like everybody else seemed to be doing and let her completely make a fool of herself. The teen with a head of curly black hair had sauntered over and asked her if she needed some help and the rest, as they say, is history.
Camila and Oscar were two completely different people with two completely different personalities yet they got along so well. Whereas Camila was a bit more shy and calm, Oscar was the firecracker, saying what was on his mind without a second thought. They balanced each other out perfectly.
The more time they spent together, the more the two learned about each other - she learned about his ambitions, his hopes and dreams to become a professional chef. He’d told her about how he always watched his papa cook and how he wanted to do it too. He’d told her about how he had two younger siblings - Sofia and Cesar, and she’d told him about her own younger brothers, Mario and Ruby. It was almost comical to them that only a few years later, their younger siblings would become friends as well.
However, Mila soon learned more about his life - his mother wasn’t around, having finally chosen the life of drugs over her children, and his father, gone too. Not a word to his young children. No phone calls, no letters, nothing. Oscar found himself having to raise his younger siblings with no help except from those that were in the gang with his father. It was a life that Mila had desperately hoped he’d stray from - she wasn’t naive. Sweet and nice, sure, but naive, no. She’d grown up in Freeridge, she knew how gangs worked, she knew what happened once you were in a gang - there was no getting out.
That once vibrant, hopeful curly haired teen who wanted to become a chef became Spooky. By her sophomore and his junior year in high school, Oscar had been jumped in - she still remembered the night that he came knocking on her bedroom window. She remembered ushering him inside, Oscar hissing in pain with every move he made - it wasn’t until he was sitting on her bed that she saw the extent of his injuries. Bruises littered his torso, he had a split lip, a blackening eye. But the look in his eyes? The defeat? That was the worst of it all. It was horrible and she hated it. She hated knowing that Oscar was in the gang, knowing that he’d never be able to get out.
Those hopes and dreams he had were gone. He didn’t care about going to culinary school anymore - the one thing he was focused on was providing for his siblings. The one way he knew how to ensure they had a future, to ensure they had a roof over their heads and clothes on their bodies was by joining the gang.
Camila remembered the fight that they’d had when he joined - a lot of words were said, a lot of yelling was done;
“You don’t get it, Camila! You grew in a stable house with two parents. You never have to worry about how you’re getting your next meal, or how to pay the bills. I don’t have that luxury! I’m doing what I have to do to make sure that Cesar and Sofia have a least a little bit of a good life. They deserve that and I don’t need you giving me shit!”
The two of them hadn’t talked for a week or two after that but she eventually went around to his house, littered with a bunch of Santos. She told him that while she didn’t like that he joined the gang, she’d be there for him because he was her best friend, because she wasn’t gonna leave him to raise his siblings alone, she wasn’t just gonna leave him alone to deal with it all.
That tanned skin of his became inked with a Santos cross on his neck, and soon he started adding more tattoos to his collection. The teardrop tattoo was the most startling one of them all because Camila knew the meaning behind it. She just knew. The Oscar that she once knew was gone, but she never turned her back on him.
After Oscar had joined the gang, her parents had been less than thrilled at her affiliation with him. They hadn’t wanted her to hang around him anymore but they knew better than anyone that Camila and Oscar were practically glued at the hip. Nothing could tear those two apart from each other.
She had been fresh out of high school, 19 years old and saving up money from her little job at the grocery store to get herself her first car. Oscar, at the time of his arrest, was 20 years old and she still remembered that day like it had just happened. It was fresh in her mind. The tears, the crying, holding Sofia and Cesar in her arms and trying to figure out where to go from there on out.
He’d been arrested and charged with a felony drug possession that landed him an eight year sentence in Corcoran. She’d been devastated - she was angry, heartbroken, and more than anything she wanted her best friend back.
Now, here she was 4 years later, 23 years old, and on her way to pick up Oscar and she was practically buzzing with a nervous excitement. Due to good behavior, the Santo was being released early and she couldn’t have been more thankful for that. Of course, during his extensive time in prison, she’d visited him and talked to him on the phone but.. it wasn’t the same. She saw him in that orange jumpsuit, handcuffed, behind a thick glass, only speaking through a telephone. She was actually gonna see him in person. She was gonna be able to touch him and hold him.
“You okay?” Camila spoke up as she spared a glance at Cesar, who was sitting beside her. They were in Oscar’s cherry red impala, driving down the vast open road that she’d driven down before to go and visit him. She could just barely begin to make out the looming building up ahead. Cesar was fiddling with his thumbs, looking out the window. She could practically sense the nerves radiating off of him.
“Hm? Oh yeah.. yeah I’m good.” The youngest Diaz looked to Camila and offered her a small smile.
“It’s okay to be nervous, you know. I’m actually pretty nervous myself.” She admitted, giving him a warm smile. “It’s gonna be fine, okay? He’s coming home, Cesar. Your brother is finally coming home.”
Sitting in the backseat wearing her headphones, blasting music louder than hell, was Sofia. The middle child. The rebel, as Camila had taken to calling her. When Oscar had gotten arrested, it hit both siblings really hard but it hadn’t hit Cesar quite as hard as Sofia. Camila had taken responsibility over the two and she saw the downfall of the young girl - her grades began slipping, she began going out more and more, partying and getting drunk. Mila knew there was resentment towards Oscar because of his arrest, she knew it stemmed from the fact that their parents had abandoned them as well. Despite the drastic change in Sofia’s attitude and personality, the two females found themselves getting close, despite the age difference. Sofia looked at Camila like an older sister - always there for her, always calling her out on her shit even though it pissed Sofia off sometimes. They fought and argued but it was Camila that kept Sofia from really going off on the deep end.
“Has he.. has he changed?” Cesar piped up. It was Oscar that said he didn’t want Cesar visiting him in prison. Cesar had went once - it was when he had just barely gotten locked up. Camila had gone down to see him with Sofia and Cesar and when the hour was up, she remembered hauling away a crying and screaming Cesar. Oscar had called her the next day and told her that he didn’t want her bringing him out anymore. He didn’t want his little brother to have to see him like that. Camila also knew that Oscar really couldn’t handle seeing Cesar cry out like that for him.
“He’s still bald,” She chuckled. “Um, he’s gotten taller too. More muscular. But um.. I think prison kind of hardened him up. I think this life hardened him up, changed him.”
“Do you think he’ll ever go back to how he was? Before everything?”
“I don’t know. Only time will tell, right?”
Another 15 or 20 minutes and the three were anxiously waiting outside of the looming gates. Camila stood leaning against the car, Cesar beside her on her left and Sofia on her right. The younger dark haired female still had those headphones on, blasting music, looking down at her phone as she scrolled through her instagram. Camila sighed, nudging the female Diaz.
“What?” Sofia asked with a bored tone, looking at her. But Camila had grown to know her better in the last four years that Oscar was gone, she had learned to read her, gauge her facial expressions and reactions. She was just as anxious, she just hid it better.
“Take those off.” Camila said. “Please?”
Sofia sighed but did as told, removing her headphones. She leaned thru the window and tossed them into the backseat before straightening up, resting against the cherry red car, arms crossed over her chest. “I don’t see why I had to come. I could’ve stayed home.” She spoke.
“Because he’s your brother? Our brother?” Cesar spoke, looking over a his older sister. “And he’s finally getting out. Why are you acting like a bitch for?”
“A bitch? Shut up, little boy.”
“Basta! Enough! Jesus Christ, you’re worse than the twins, and those little shits stay trying to glitter and fight each other all the time.” Camila spoke up, exasperated, recalling the many many incidents where her younger twin siblings fought each other mercilessly. “Looks I know you don’t wanna be here but.. Oscar’s coming home, Bambii. He’s finally coming home, okay?” Mila’s words were soft, hopeful and caring. “Just.. don’t look so miserable. Please, for me?”
Sofia gave the older girl a small little smile. “Only for you, and because you said please. And because you’re buying me a michelada after.”
Camila chuckled, turning to face the gates once more. “Alright fine, bitch.”
It seemed like hours had gone by when really, it was only just minutes. Camila swore she felt her heart stop beating in her chest when she heard a buzzing sound. She could’ve sworn her heart jump started once more at a hundred beats per second when she saw Oscar, flanked by two correction officers, walking over to the gates. It was like the breath was stolen from her body when the gates slowly rolled open and Oscar walked forward.
Camila couldn’t stop herself, couldn’t contain her excitement or emotion. She ran forward quicker than lightening and jumped into Oscar’s arms, wrapping her legs around his waist, her arms around his neck. Oscar gave a deep chuckle - she could feel his chest vibrating against her own. His arms strong arms wrapped around her small frame and held her close. Both of them, they stood there holding each other for a few good second, just savoring the feeling of each other.
“Dios mio, I’ve missed you Oscar.” She said, unable to keep the emotion from her voice.
“I’ve missed you too, Tiny.” Pulling away, she looked at him, at his face. He looked older now, hardened, just like she’d said to Cesar. The teardrop and Santos cross tattoo stood out against his tan skin, and his eyes shone brightly under the bright, blistering sun.
“I’m gonna forgive you for calling me Tiny, just because of how much I’ve missed you.” She leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek before unwrapping herself from around him. Her feet planted themselves on the floor, her head barely coming up to his shoulders. He looked down at her, smirking.
“Not my fault you’re so short, Mila. Four years and you still haven’t grown at all.” Then, his eyes fell on his siblings, on Sofia and Cesar.
Cesar took a few hesitant steps forward, and Oscar motioned him over. “Come here, kid.” The youngest Diaz sibling walked forward and fell into his brother’s arms. Oscar wrapped an arm around Cesar, leaning down to press a small kiss to the top of Cesar’s head. His face was serious, but Camila could see the emotion shining in his eyes, she could see a thousand emotions swirling in them. So many emotions that he didn’t know how to convey or say. “I’ve missed you.” He spoke firmly, voice hard.
“Um, yeah.. yeah me too.” Cesar spoke, giving his older brother a small smile. Oscar’s eyes then came up on his unenthused sister, still leaning against the car, arms still crossed across her chest.
“Bambii.. look at you, you’re all grown up.” Oscar said. “I can’t get a hi or a hug?” He asked.
Sofia gave her brother a sarcastic smile, sarcasm simply dripping from every single pore. “Hi, Oscar. Welcome home. I’ve missed you.” She walked over, wrapping a single arm around his muscular torso. “It’s just so good to have you back home.” The tall Santo clearly wasn’t amused or impressed, giving his sister a deadpanned look. Mila simply sighed, scratching the back of her neck.
“Okay! Let’s go, yeah?” Camila spoke up, clapping her hands together. She dug the car keys out of her pocket and dangled them on her finger up at Oscar. “Did you forget how to drive or do you want me to?” She teased.
“Gimme those.” Oscar snatched the keys from her finger and walked around the vehicle, eyes taking in every little minuscule detail. Everything he missed in the last four years. Sofia climbed back into the backseat, with Cesar following beside her, occupying the spot next to her, meanwhile Mila sat in the passenger seat.
“I didn’t crash your car Oscar, there’s not even a scratch!” The brunette said to her best friend as he finally got in the car.
“Yeah, four years later and I still remember how you ran over the curb when you were trying to park. Fucked up the rim.” Oscar put the key in the ignition and started the engine. A little smile came to his lips, dimples just barely poking through. “Sounds the same..”
—————
Sofia had just put the finishing touch on her makeup when she heard the front door open and shut in quick succession. She sighed to herself, pursing her plump lips, deep chocolate eyes surveying herself in the mirror. She had a party that she’d been invited to and she certainly was not gonna miss it. Yeah, her brother was home, finally, but truthfully, the last thing that she wanted was to be near him.
“Don’t you own anything that goes past your knees?” Cesar asked as he leaned against the doorframe, watching as his sister put on the sandals that went with her outfit. She wore a cute spaghetti crop top, a form fitting short denim skirt with a little slit on the side, showcasing her smooth, tanned legs. The female Diaz turned and looking at her younger brother, shooting a sarcastic smile his way. “You know Oscar’s not gonna let you go anywhere like that.”
“Hm, well Cesar, unlike you - I don’t live to kiss his ass. I didn’t even know that you could kiss anybody else’s ass other than Monse’s until Oscar got back.” She snickered. Cesar’s face went serious, eyes giving her a nasty look. Meanwhile Sofia went about her business, grabbing her purse and stuffing her phone side, as well as her house keys and other necessities.
“Bitch.” Cesar muttered as he walked away.
“Pussy.” Sofia called back out to him. After making sure she had all her things, after spritzing a little bit of perfume on, the ebony haired female walked out of room, shutting off the light in the process, and walked down the hallway. She reached the living room and found Oscar sitting on the couch, flipping through the channels on the t.v. Upon hearing her enter, Oscar turned his head to look at her and nearly did a double take.
“What the fuck are you wearing?” He asked, sitting up straighter. She rolled her eyes, heading for the door.
“Did you suddenly go blind in prison? I’m wearing clothes.” She said. Oscar stood up quicker than lightening and blocked her path to the door, looking down at her with his brows furrowed.
“And where are you going?”
“A party. Move.” She said, trying to get past him but he still stood in her way, not budging. Sofia sighed deeply, looking up at her older brother with those intense eyes that mirrored his own. Perhaps it was a Diaz trait.
“A party? Dressed like that? Nah. You ain’t going anywhere.” He said, shaking his head. The female scoffed, crossing her arms across her chest in an act of defiance. Oscar really realized then how much she’d changed in the four years that he’d been gone. It was thing seeing her every other week for an hour at a time, but now that he was back, he noticed the difference.
“Uh, claro que si voy a ir. I’m 19, Oscar. I’m not a little ass kid anymore. In case you forgot when your ass was locked up - I grew up. I don’t need your permission.” Sofia could see the annoyance, anger beginning to shine in his eyes, but she didn’t back down. Oscar took a step forward, running a hand over his face.
“You live in my house, so yeah - you gonna go by my rules. I ain’t letting my baby sister go out to some party with a bunch of dirty putos.” He spoke, voice deathly serious. She chuckled bitterly.
“Your house? It hasn’t been your house for the last four years.” Using Oscar’s momentary lapse of surprise, Sofia skirted past him and pulled the door open, stepping out into the slightly humid night, the warm breeze blowing her hair back. As she walked down the front steps, she spotted Camila climbing out of her car and walked up the path.
Camila noticed the incensed look on the young woman’s face and raised an eyebrow. “Sofia, get over here.” Oscar called out to his sister, walking past the threshold. Sofia didn’t stop though, she kept going, in fact.
“What happened?” Camila asked as the two walked past each other.
“Your best friend is an asshole. And I have a party to go too.” She said, turning back around, beginning her walk down the sidewalk. The older of two merely gave a deep sigh, knowing that there was nothing she or anybody could say that was gonna get her to come back or stay - especially when she harbored some resentment towards her brother.
“Don’t get back too late, Sofia. I’m serious!” She called out. Sofia raised an arm up, signaling that she’d heard her. Turning back around, Camila walked over to where Oscar stood, leaning against the house, watching his sister walk away. She walked up the steps and took a seat on one of the chairs that decorated the small porch. She set the brown paper bag in her hand down on the small table, looking up at Oscar.
“What’s her problem?” He asked, occupying the chair across the brunette. He reached up and grabbed the blunt that rested behind his ear. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a lighter, lighting it up and taking a hefty drag, after which he offered the blunt to Camila. She took it from him, bringing it up and wrapping her lips around it. Oscar eyed her, watching as she took a drag, holding the smoke in before letting it billow out of her mouth.
“I told you; she’s not the same Bambii from four years ago.” She said, grabbing the brown paper bag. She pulled out two beers, setting one in front of Oscar, grabbing the other for herself. She opened the cool can and brought it up to her lips, taking a drink of the bitter liquid. “She’s angry, Os. She took it hard when you got arrested. Started partying, going out, drinking - I’ve been there for her and Cesar but, there’s only so much that I could tell her before she get’s all pissed. Like you.” Mila nudged Oscar’s leg with her foot, shooting him a little smirk.
“You sayin’ I have a bad attitude, nena?”
“Nah, I’m just sayin’ you don’t like people telling you shit. Fia is the same way.” Camila said. “Just give her time. You’ve only been out for a few hours, she’s still not used to you being around again.”
Oscar said nothing, just gave a little ‘hm’, bringing the blunt up to his lips again. For a few minutes or so, the two said nothing - cars could be heard driving room, music playing from a block or two away, crickets chirping. Mila suddenly felt like she was a teenager again, hanging out with Oscar. Sneaking out of her house to meet up with him and drink some cheap beer and smoke some weed. But they were older now. Things had changed, shit was different. “Are you mad?”
“Hm?”
“At me. Are you mad at me?” He asked her. Oscar was looking at Camila, the same way he always did - like he was reading her, her body language, gauging every expression or movement. He knew better than probably anyone else. She stayed silent for a few seconds, bring her beer up to her lips and taking a drink. After she’d gulped some down, she set it back down and shrugged.
“I was. I was pissed at first. I always told you that that would happen if you joined the Santos. That or worse. So I was pissed but I can’t say I was really surprised either. Pero, overtime I got past that anger - there’s no point in being angry all the time. You’re back home now.” She smiled, eyes shining brightly. “Besides, if you ever get your ass arrested again, I’ll kill you my damn self.” She said. Oscar chuckled, a smug smirk pulling at his lips.
“Yeah? How you gonna reach, with your short ass, Tiny? You gonna use a step stool like them little kids?” Camila scoffed, but ended up laughing towards the ends.
“Asshole!” She reached her foot out and just barely missed her foot against his leg.
“See! You can’t even reach me.” Oscar teased her furthermore.
“Callate pendejo. This is what I get? Years and years of friendship and you’re still clowning me? Fuck outta here, with your rude ass. I’ll still bust your kneecaps.” Mila pouted, trying hard to keep that smile at bay, but she couldn’t hold it. She felt complete now, as cheesy as it was to say. When Oscar was in prison, they talked almost every night, but it wasn’t the same as actually speaking to him in person. As being able to touch him, to hug him.
“Nah seriously though,” Oscar’s expression and tone turned serious, blowing some smoke out. He looked at the brunette, their eyes meeting. “Thank you, Mila. For taking care of Sofia and Cesar. You didn’t have to-“
“Yes, I did.” Mila cut him off. “And you don’t have to thank me. You’re my best friend, Oscar. You know that I’d do anything for you. For you, Sofia and Cesar. Just like I know you’d do anything for me and my family.”
Oscar cleared his throat, sniffing slightly. He nodded his head at her, unable to really say anything. He looked away from her, looking out across the street. “How’re your parents? Abuelita, Mario, Ruby?” He finally asked, changing the topic.
“Mom is good, dad is good. Abuelita too. Mario is up Angelica’s ass, como siempre. And Ruby can’t wait for him to go to college so that he can finally get his own room.” She chuckled, running a hand through her dark, thick hair. After graduating high school, Camila had decided that she didn’t want to go off to some big university. At least not yet. She knew that she’d disappointed her parents when she told them - they wanted her out of Freeridge, wanted her to make something of herself. But they supported her nonetheless and supported her decision to stay back, to attend the local community college nearby.
Now, she worked a steady job, had her own car and her own place. It wasn’t big, but it was enough for her. It was something and she was thankful for it.
“Sad Eyes said the Santos wanna throw me some welcome back party,” Oscar said, finally opening his beer to take a drink from it. “You down to come?”
“Is that even a question you need to ask? Of course I’ll come.” She said. “Maybe I’ll finally meet a fine ass Santo.” She snickered, eyes shining with mischief. Oscar let out a little ‘tsk’.
“Mamas, you got me right here.”
Sitting there with Oscar, drinking and smoking, Camila felt like things were gonna be good, back to normal. Simple again. She finally had her best friend back. But nothing could’ve prepared any of them for what was to come.

Stop the Tension
Summary: After getting your hair braided for the summer Oscar helps you rub oil on your scalp to relieve some of the tension Pairing: Oscar x Black!Reader Genre: Fluff Visuals
I watched as all the houses we passed by blend into a blur through the window. I wasn't able to truly focus on the environment that we were driving by. All I could focus on was the tight sensation on my scalp. Each part having its own different level of tension, and the braids having a slightly heavier weight that was almost unfamiliar. Whenever I move my head the slightest bit the weight shifts and the sharp pain takes turns on which side it wants to travel to, but at the same time I hear the nostalgic click and clack of the beads as they bounce off of each other. I lean my head against the window of the passenger window of Oscar's car and close my eyes. I feel his warm hand rub circles onto my exposed thigh.
"You okay, Mami" Oscar asks with a hint of concern in his voice.
"My head just hurts"
"I don't understand why you keep going back to that shop, knowing damn well that they be braiding tight as hell" he said slightly annoyed
"I want them to last Oscar. I don't have the time or money to be sitting up in a chair whenever I need my braids refreshed, because that shit was all loosey goosey"
"I have the money and time to take you to someone who isnt gonna braid your thoughts to the point where its gonna give you a headache" he chuckled
"They got the touch Oscar. You know them African Aunties be gripping with the strength of the ancestors whenever they braid"
Oscar and I made eye contact as we pulled up into the driveway of his house, and all we could do is laugh and smile at each other.
"You stupid for saying that" he said flashing his beautiful smile at me as he tries to hold back more of his laughs.
"Nah nigga you stupid. 'Braiding my thoughts' who fucking thinks of that" I say lightly hitting his shoulder as I laugh
"We're both stupid so get your dumbass in the house and I'll rub oil on your scalp to help loosen the braids up a little bit"
The moment the word oil left his lips I was already unbuckling my seatbelt and halfway out the door.
"Damn where you going" Oscar said grabbing my hand
"You said you were gonna rub oil on my scalp"
"Yea but why you rushing" he chuckled
"You dont gotta tell me twice. Hurry up papi"
The way I was rushing to the door you would've thought that Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kreuger, the fucking Candyman or whatever scary shit that haunts your dreams was chasing me. All I know is that I was way too fucking excited for Oscar to put his fingers to good use on my scalp. The feeling of oil being rubbed into your scalp is an already enjoyable experience whether it be done by yourself or by someone else, but it's just something about Oscar that takes the feeling to a whole new level of almost ecstasy.
"Chop chop you got work to do"
"Damn patience is virtue (y/n)" Oscar said walking at the slowest pace I've ever seen. At first glance you wouldn't think he was moving until you see the dumb look on his face.
"Why you playing with me"
"Just be patient I'mma get there" he chuckles
"In like 40 fucking years, by the time you get here i'll be old ass grandma with a bunch of grandkids"
"Do you think our grandkids would be cute"
"Who said they were related to you. Keep this shit up and I might start homie hopping"
In the blink of an eye Oscar was towering over me on his porch
"That shit ain't funny (y/n)"
"Oh now you wanna stop playing when I wanna joke around"
"That didn't sound like a joke it sounded more like a warning" he says as he unlocks the door
"Good then you got my message loud and clear" I say smiling at him
"Hurry up and get your ass on the couch"
I giddily skipped over to the couch and sat down waiting for Oscar to bring over the oil. He walked out with a dropper bottle of the Mielle rosemary and mint hair oil.
"Oh okay I see you Mr. Big Baller bringing out the expensive oil. I feel all special"
"Shut up it was 15 dollars"
"Yea but look at this tiny ass bottle. I could've bought 3 bottles of wild growth with that money"
"Do you want your scalp oiled or no"
"Okay I'll shut up, go ahead and do your job"
I turned around and instantly felt the slick oil travel along the parts on my scalp. As Oscar moves the braids out of the way to get to different sections he rubs his fingers in a circular motions working the oil into my scalp. It felt heavenly the way his fingers glided between my braids. The cooling sensation of the oil easing the tension whilst lifting the pain leaving nothing but the feeling of his strong hands massaging my scalp.
"This is how bitches fall in love you know. You over here massaging you manifestations into my brain"
"So that means I should do this more often if I want you to stay in love with me"
"Yup, do this shit once a week and i'll be putty in your hands" I say closing my eyes
"You're already putty in my hands"
"Nigga shut up"

"So, look I know you're in your post-breakup mourning period... but.." Carmen took her hoodie off her head to give a full scowl to her sister, she could already feel the question about to come out of her mouth and she was in no mood. Fresh out of a long relationship, Carmen was a weeping mess that barely saw the light of day for almost a month. The man she thought she would marry and live her life with seemed to have had enough of her and made it clear in those exact words. Harsh. And that's what really hurt the most. Not the typical "I don't think we're working out." But a gut-wrenching "I've had enough." With no explanation.
When she told her sister, Vanessa, she suggested that they burned his things before he came to collect them but she couldn't find it in herself to be that girl— her sister said that didn't have anything to do with her and decided she'd perform the act herself but Carmen did find it funny to see his reaction when he saw the pile of charred clothing on the sidewalk. She was appreciative of her sister, her built-in best friend.
Vanessa looked at her with puppy eyes. "But what?" Carmen answered. "Okay so there's this guy that I've been talking to, his name is Jose, and he wants to meet but I'm kinda nervous so I asked if it could be a double date and he said yeah that's cool-"
"Nessaaaaa." She groaned. She was in no mood to even see a man let alone go on a double date with one. "Pleeeease! Please Mini." She pouted using the nickname she gave her since she was born. Carmen rolled her eyes tossing her head back as she looked at the ceiling to weigh her options, she'd been cooped up in her apartment for a while and she was starting to miss going out for a little drink here and there but she just didn't want to see the opposite sex for a bit. But it was for her sister and her sister would do the same if the roles were switched.
"When is this?"
"Tonight."
"For fuck sake Nessa."
"Sorry. But please?"
Carmen sighed. "Fine."
"Yes!" Vanessa cheered. "What does he look like?"
The older sister scrolled through her conversation finally coming across a picture of the two men, pointing to Jose and the other guy who'd be joining them. Carmen took the phone to get a closer look. He wore a completely shaved head, moustache and goatee which suited him well in her opinion— her eyes darted between the two men noticing the matching tattoos on their neck, and her date with a teardrop one under his eye.
"Vanessa..."
Her sister grimaced. "Yeah?"
"Are they in a fucking gang?"
"...maybe."
She mentally cussed her sister out, she should've known that this was what she was getting into since Vanessa always had a type, but she already agreed to this predictable catastrophe.
The time for the date came quickly and Carmen was thoroughly underwhelmed as she got ready, already planning out what could go wrong in terms of her lack of social skills— she felt like she was already lucky enough to get a boyfriend the first time around due to her awkwardness and now she was being launched back into the dating pool. Sort of.
The sisters arrived at Dwayne's Joint, it was a new spot in town that they had talked about trying out and Vanessa figured tonight would be a good night as any. They sat inside a booth waiting for the boys to arrive, the two sisters giving off very different energies. Vanessa was excited while Carmen sulked ready to get this over with so she could go home, light a blunt, and go to sleep. "You look pretty." Vanessa complimented. Carmen tried her best to make the most of it, she did dress up in a casual black halter top and paired it with a brown skirt, around her waist were her regular waist beads with one sitting above her belly button and the other below it so her belly piercing could be seen. She threw a white knitted cardigan over it but would most likely take it off soon because she was getting a bit hot already.
Her locs, that haven't been retwisted in the month, had been brushed and put up in a ponytail so they'd be out of her face and look somewhat neat. If she had to say so herself, and she did, she looked good.
"Thanks. You look pretty too girly." Carmen smiled. Her expression soon faded when the bell above the door rang signalling a customer had walked in, her heart fell to her stomach when it was the two men they were meeting with. "Here come your boys." She mumbled. "Hush." Vanessa scooted out of the booth and opened her arms to Jose, her sister stood almost stunned that the man almost ran to her scooping her up in his arms and off the floor.
She grumbled at them. Is this what she was going to endure all night?
She and his friend stood awkwardly not knowing if to introduce themselves to each other or wait for their counterparts to do it. The two broke the hug and Vanessa smiled. "José, Spooky, this is my sister Carmen. Carmen this is Jose and Spooky."
Carmen delivered a small wave only to receive a nod from Spooky, he looked like he wanted to be there as much as she did. The four sat down, Vanessa sitting beside her date and Carmen with hers. For the first few minutes it felt like a normal double date as far as those go, Jose did ask Carmen a few questions and made conversation with the two girls but soon all his attention went to Vaness which was fine because that's who he came for anyway.
She didn't know what to say to this "Spooky" guy, every time she looked over at him he was just staring at everything else not even making the gesture to look at her plus he didn't look like he wanted to be bothered anyway so she just went on her phone until their food arrived.
There was constant giggling across the table and consistent compliments and it made her miss her relationship even more-- she used to be like that too and she wished she still was. Her thumb hovered over his contact name, she knew she should've gotten rid of it by now but she didn't want to, she contemplated texting him even if it was to have a conversation for the moment but she didn't so instead she put her phone down on the table and placed her hands in her lap.
"So..." A shockingly deep voice said next to her, she was surprised he could speak at all. "So... you don't say much."
Spooky chuckled. "Neither do you. Guess we have something in common."
"That and friends who drag us to blind dates I guess."
"That too."
Saving the tension in the air was the waitress holding their tray of food, Carmen was grateful for the interruption plus she was mad hungry. The group ate and chatted a bit. She was enjoying her food until her eyes wandered off to the door, she gasped and slid down in her chair causing all eyes from the table to be on her. "What? What's wrong?" Her sister asked. "Damien." She whispered.
Vanessa turned around spotting the ex-boyfriend with a new girl on his arm, she looked over at her sister. "Who's Damien?" Jose asked. "Um, he's someone she used to date."
"What are you scared of him?" He joked. Carmen shook her head, she sat up straight frowning at the new girl. It'd only been a month out of a four-year relationship, how come he had someone already? Was she always there?
She couldn't see it but Spooky saw her expression and the way her mood changed especially when she saw that they were walking toward them to get to a table behind them. "Of all the places." He heard her mumble. He sighed and decided to do her a favour. "Come closer."
"What?"
"Come closer." Carmen listened and shuffled as close as she could, Spooky swung his arm over her shoulder catching her by surprise but she wasn't so stiff anymore she kind of relaxed under him. Damien and his date were getting closer, his smile turning into a frown once he saw her and Spooky.
They stopped in front of her table. "Carmen?" She looked up and fake smiled. "Damien, hey. What's up?"
His eyes shifted over to Spooky who was giving him a death stare. "Nothing, just hanging out, decided to try this new spot."
The air was thick once again, he nodded at the boys who didn't even blink at him, he cleared his throat mustering "See you around." Before going about his business. Carmen let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding, her eyes stung as tears that she didn't want threatened to break their barrier. "You okay?" Spooky asked, she nodded going back to her food only able to take one bite before she knew that her tears were about to embarrass her.
She snatched her sister's car keys off the table and said. "I'll be back." Spooky got out so that she could, he watched her walk out of the establishment the last thing he heard was her whimpers.
"Aww, what's her problem?"
Vanessa's ears found that snarky tone. "Maybe she didn't wanna smell your funky asses sitting right behind her."
Damien's date turned around. "Excuse me?"
"You heard me dog tits." She laughed. The girl gasped. "Are you gonna let her talk to me like that?"
Before Damian could answer he looked up at Spooky who was still giving him a look of disdain. He closed his mouth and asked her to sit down before anything got worse. Spooky took it upon himself to go check on her, he wandered off into the parking lot and not too far from the door did he see her with her head down with fog around her and smoke coming from the windows with the smell of weed in the air.
Inside, Carmen's eyes were red from both the Indica and her tears, she sniffled closing her eyes and rested her head back. She knew coming out tonight would be a mistake. Willing to Trust by Kid Cudi played while the weed took over she felt herself being carried off somewhere else, floating around in her head until a small tap on the window disrupted her peace, she looked over to the passenger's side and to her surprise it was Spooky.
She unlocked the door inviting him inside, she turned down the music taking another hit of her blunt. Carmen sighed putting her feet up on the dashboard. Spooky noticed her Scooby-Doo socks and laughed, she scrunched up her nose stifling her laugh too but she couldn't help it. "Shut up."
"I didn't say anything." He snorted. She looked over at him, her eyes falling on the details of the tattoo on his neck-- the crucifix that you'd more so see in Catholic churches but instead of Jesus and them on it the word Santos was etched into his skin, she scanned him until she landed on the other tattoo of the teardrop under his eye. "Something you wanna ask me?"
Spooky watched as she took another puff, checking her out just as much as she did him. She handed him her blunt and he gladly took it. "What's your real name?"
A dimple poked out when he smiled. "Oscar,"
"Hm, what caused Jose to drag you out of the house Oscar?"
He licked his lips and she didn't know if it was the weed but it made her tingle when he did that. "Eh, he's my hermano, just trynna be his wingman so he could get some pussy you know?"
He handed it back to her. "Gross." She giggled taking a hit. "Yeah? Like you're not helping your sister get some dick?"
"Fair enough."
The two sat in the car and talked for a surprisingly long time as if they were on their own separate date. It was a nice conversation and it helped take her mind off of her troubles for a bit, they hadn't even noticed how long they'd been gone until Jose and Vanessa came out hand in hand with containers sitting in a plastic bag.
Oscar saw them making their way to the car and if he was being honest it was a bit disappointing, he was enjoying Carmen's company she was a fun person to talk to, she was funny, she had some pretty crazy stories to tell and he liked getting to know her. She rolled down the window to greet her sister. "Thanks for dining and dashing."
"No problem." Carmen winked. "Alright let's get you home girl."
She looked over at Oscar and back at her sister and whispered. "Are you and Jose not... you know?"
"I want to but I mean I can just take you home."
She lightly shook her head, her sister getting the hint and smirking. "Um, Spooky do you mind taking my sister home? I mean if that's okay with you, Carmen?"
"Yeah, that's cool with me." She looked over at Oscar with hopeful eyes and he agreed to take her so they switched cars and were left in the parking lot watching the other pair get into the car and drive off. He walked her over to his Red Impala and she was sort of impressed by it, it was a beautiful vehicle and the interior was just as nice.
They wasted no time falling back into the conversation they were having before, leaving the venue and driving around with no destination in particular until Carmen suggested ice cream-- her munchies were kicking in and she was craving something sweet. They pulled up to an ice cream parlour that wasn't too far from her apartment complex, it was sort of empty except for maybe a group of drunks who were in the same predicament as they were.
"So, this Damien guy..." He started. Carmen saw that he was asking for permission to talk about and she nodded granting it. "How long was that?"
"Four years."
"Damn."
She laughed, that was almost everyone's reaction, assuming it was because that was getting rare nowadays. "I know. Hm, I thought everything was fine and perfect and one day it wasn't." She sighed drawing circles on the table with her nails. "You know, you plan your life together, everything is we and ours and us...  then it's not and you're being told how they've had enough."
Oscar half smiled. "Well, that guy's fucking stupid for letting you go ma. Stop dating these square-ass bitches."
Carmen burst out at his attempt to console her, it was funny and it was cute and maybe he was right, maybe she needed someone who wasn't so uptight she did find that being with Damien sometimes required treading lightly on things and it could be annoying but she just accepted it, maybe now she needed someone who was more like... Oscar. So far she found him to be fun, and he sounded like he was down for anything as long as it was amusing.
A text came in on her phone lighting the screen, instead of reading the text she read the time and her eyes widened. It was almost 2 am. "Everything okay?" He asked. "Uh, yeah, just Nessa asking if I got home okay."
He slowly nodded looking at her lips, her septum piercing sitting just above her Cupid's bow another piercing planted on her right nostril, the light freckles scattered across her pretty brown skin, the subtle makeup on her face and her pretty natural lashes coated in mascara— he felt like he was staring at an angel. She started to blush and looked down at her lap.
"You ready to call it a night?"
She wasn't, but it was already late as hell. "Yeah, guess we should go."
They left the shop and once again entered the car, the ride was kind of silent aside from her giving him directions to her place but it wasn't a weird silence like how the night started, they were officially comfortable with each other. The ride was short considering she did live by the ice cream place. Oscar turned off the car and opened his door, Carmen sat a bit confused.
"What? You thought I was letting you go up there by yourself? Come on, ma."
She beamed, the little nickname growing on her, she trailed behind him like a lost puppy into the building and inside the elevator, she clicked for the fifth floor and leaned against the handrail. She looked at him noticing one of the buttons on his flannel shirt was unbuttoned, without processing it she reached over and fixed it for him. Oscar thought the minor detail was sweet, made his heart jump a little when she got close, close enough for him to really smell her perfume that didn't fade away for the whole night— sweet like mangoes.
The doors parted and she went ahead of him to find her place. Apartment 504. He made a mental note, you know... just in case.
She fumbled with her keys and unlocked the door swinging it open and turning to face him.
Invite him in. Invite. Him. In.
"I-I had fun tonight. Really."
"Me too." He agreed. The two stood looking at each other not sure what to say or do, not knowing if they would be on the same page if action took place.
Kiss him. Just fucking grab him and drag him inside and just fuck the sh-
"I... um... I'll see you around?" He nodded wishing her goodnight before he crept down the hall and disappeared back into the elevator. Carmen closed her door and banged her fist against it. "So fucking stupid."
----
It was a nice and breezy afternoon in Freeridge but Carmen couldn't take notice, the events from two nights ago, though small, were playing through her mind, their conversations and laughter going on like a broken record. Vanessa sat across from her younger sister still in a bit of disbelief at what she was told earlier.
"So... no kiss?"
"No." She murmured. "No, dick?"
Carmen glared. "Bitch if we didn't kiss what makes you think we fucked?" Vanessa put her hands up in defence. "People fuck without kissing."
"Yeah, weirdos."
There was a moment of silence before she asked another question. "Not even a hug!?"
"For fuck sake Ness, no!" She completely folded over resting her forehead on the park table, she was frustrated at herself for not bringing him inside that night even if they didn't end up getting intimate she would've enjoyed just talking or even smoking until the sun rose. Doubts played in her head that maybe she was only feeling this way because she just got out of a relationship and he was the first guy in her line of sight, but last night felt so nice and relaxing, they got along so easily once it was just to the two of them.
Vanessa smirked taking a sip of her drink. "Okay, I'll be serious, why didn't you invite him in?"
She shrugged sitting up straight, she played with the straw in her cup. "Are you scared of him?"
"No."
"Do you think he's ugly?" Vanessa teased. "I don't."
"Girl, I know you haven't been in the streets for a long time but it's okay to think with your punani sometimes. No disrespect you've come to me complaining about your sex life sometimes, so if this is an opportunity to get some good dick, you better jump on it. Pun intended." Carmen ran her hands over her face letting out the longest groan knowing her sister was kind of right, she hadn't had to think with her punani in so long because if she wanted dick it was right there. She sighed. "Can you ask Jose for his number?"
A devilish smile spread across Vanessa's face. "I sure can."
The sun set as quickly as it rose and Carmen was back in her apartment after spending the day with her sibling, she was successful in getting Spooky's number but had yet to text him, every time she opened the empty thread her thumbs would ghost over the keyboard and she'd chicken out turning off her phone. She decided to leave her phone alone and took a quick shower to cool her down but it wasn't helping.
After her shower, she doused herself in cocoa butter and sprayed a little perfume to feel extra good before putting on her oversized grey sweater with the Space Jam characters scattered over it.
"Alexa, play Angel by Kid Cudi." It had recently become her favourite song to smoke to.
"Playing... Angel by Kid Cudi."
Perfect.
She lit a spliff she had rolled earlier and made a mental note to hit her plug for some more loud since this was her last. A moment to herself in this big-ass apartment, she was getting used to being by herself and in some way found peace in it. Her phone buzzed and she looked down at a text from her sister.
LochNess🐍: Did you text him yet?
Carmen put her phone down telling herself she'd answer once she was done having her moment, until another interruption came, this time it was a knock on her door. She was confused, no one really came to see her unless it was her sister. She sighed outing the last bit of her spliff in the ashtray and trotted to the door, she looked through the people and gasped when she saw who was on the other side. She quickly unlocked her entrance revealing Spooky on the other side.
"Spooky... hi."
She didn't know it but Spooky was nervous, he came over after Jose told him he gave Carmen his number he didn't have much of a plan or a script of what he was going to say to her. On the other hand, she was thinking about what her sister had said earlier, it was okay to think with her pussy for once and she did. It took both of them by surprise when she pulled him down by his black shirt connecting their lips, like a scene straight out of a book she tugged him inside and he reached back closing the door behind him.
He glided his palms across her lower back and down her bum grabbing a handful of her bare supple skin, she was soft and smelled so sweet. Carmen giggled feeling her feet leave the floor, legs soon wrapped around his waist. He slid off his shoes and walked over to her couch. Surprisingly none of this affected their kiss, chasing each other in desperate neediness. He sat with her in his lap, hands resting on her hips. They pulled apart for less than a second before he began to nibble at her neck, she smiled lazily letting out a hazy laugh at his facial hair tickling her skin.
Oscar gave her one last kiss on the neck before leaning back on the couch, she caught his eyes running down her body. "What?"
He shrugged. "Nothing. Heard you been thinking about me." Carmen groaned and buried her face in her hands, he chuckled at her sudden shyness. "I'm gonna kill that woman." She whined. Oscar moved her hands away and held them in his own. "Don't. I been thinking about you too." He said before cupping her chin, pulling her down this time.
Clothes were in a rush to be removed, tossing every piece on the floor until the cool breeze came in touch with their bare skin. Carmen hummed feeling his teeth graze against her sweet brown skin, his thick fingers padding down her torso and dipping between her legs. Oscar groaned at the feeling of her slickness coating his fingers, a light gasp followed by a whimper graced him as he pushed his fingers inside her cove. Her nails lightly dug at his biceps. If she was being honest, she just was willing to skip the foreplay, she wanted him and she wanted him now.
She whined wrapping her legs around his hips, he laughed breathlessly knowing what she was asking for so he stopped playing and gave it to her. He removed his fingers and lifted his head from the crook of her neck, his chain dangled in her face as he hovered over her his eyes gracing her every feature. A slick remark was about to come out of her mouth but was quickly shut down and replaced with a quiet moan feeling him fill her up completely.
Their chests pressed together as he returned to his position, his lips back on her neck adding to the feeling below. She whimpered feeling that first stroke, the second one so slow and delicate he wanted her to feel him against her walls, the third really hit-- it was a hard thrust, an erotic groan sounding from both of them. Carmen held him close, with every collision a new sound spilled from her plump lips, sounds she didn't even know she could make.
"Feels so fucking good, oh yes!"
He left sloppy kisses on her skin. "How are you so fucking wet? Hm?" His tone was cocky and she couldn't lie, the pleasure he was giving her had earned him that right. Her trembling legs never left from around his waist, using her body to beg him to go deeper. His hand collided with her hip squeezing her tattooed flesh in his grip. "Where's my answer mama?"
"You made me so wet." Carmen whimpered. "Shit! Right there!"
Oscar was pounding into her soft spot so hard her eyes disappeared to the back of her head, her legs came loose as she tried to push him off but he wasn't budging, he smirked ignoring her plea for him to ease up, she was close anyway he could feel it. Her pussy gripping him like she owned him and from now on it did. He was hooked, he was dizzy, he was ready for round after round— he never wanted to leave inside her.
He leaned down capturing her shivering lips in a slow kiss, tongues sliding past each other. He groaned when she would struggle to kiss back. "Spooky... fuck I'm cumming!"
Her nails clawed up his sides and dug into his skin once her hands reached his back. "Cum for me princesa." The words barely left his mouth when her back arched, her nails dragging down his back until her hands were right above his cheeks, she was pulsating around him. He slowed down his thrusts dragging out her orgasm for as long as he could and until she tapped out. They lay there out of breath and in a lustful aura. Carmen had finally started to breathe normally before Oscar picked her up and carried her off to an open room that he assumed was hers. She laughed when he tossed her onto the mattress.
"I'm not done with you yet, hm, I want you to always think about me."

NEXT LIFETIME
about — Cambria Turner had just lost her father to a battle of cancer. Dealing with this loss can be hard especially since she’s only 15. While dealing with the loss of her father, and trying to keep in touch with her incarcerated mother and an annoying little cousin she has to find a new life in a new city. Which means a whole new school making new friends, along the way she meets someone who understands what it’s like to have a parent in jail and also lose a parent.
pairing — oscar ‘spooky’ diaz x cambria turner [ oc ]
EXCERPT —
Cambria smiled looking at Oscar as he talked about how everything was going with Cesar. Her eyes moved across his face as he continued to talk to her, she nodded along half listening distracted by how peaceful he looked around her.
“Are you even listening to me Bria?”
She giggled, shaking her head no. “And why not?”
“Well I got distracted, but I heard most of it and I empathize with what you’re doing to make sure Cesar has a decent chance of getting out of here.” She replies, looking him in his eyes.
“So, you’re just gonna skip over the part about you being distracted or?”
“Yes, I am but we should be heading back, you know how my uncle is when I stay out too late.”
Cambria got up dusting the sand off her jeans taking a final look at the ocean. Oscar did the same but instead of looking at the ocean he was looking at Bria. She was one of the few people he felt like understood him to some extent, and honestly he never felt more like himself around her and honestly he wouldn’t be surprised if she felt the same way.
Oscar grabbed her hand, agreeing with her that he had to get her back to her home before the sun went down. The two held a conversation about finals and just school in general on the way back to the car. Oscar opened the door for Bria before making his way to the driver’s side.
The drive back to Freeridge was quicker than they both hoped it would be. But Oscar did notice Bria staring at him a few times before turning away to look out the window. This caused him to smile and hold her hand for the rest of the drive back.
Once they turned onto Cambria’s street, she noticed her uncle Dwayne standing on the porch waiting for her. She let out a deep sigh throwing her head back against the headrest. Oscar chuckled parking a few houses down from her residences.
Bria turned towards him after she unbuckled herself. “I honestly wished I could hang out with you for just a little bit longer.”
This caused a slight blush to creep onto his cheeks. “I know, I wish you could too princesa, but you need to get inside before you get in trouble. Now go, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Mhm, alright during school or after?” He laughed telling her to go and he’ll see her tomorrow during school.
She got out of the car grabbing her bag, waving him goodbye before jogging up to the house. He smiled watching her walk up to her uncle and he just shook his head pouting inside. He knew she was in trouble, but he also knew that no matter what they were still on for their ‘date’ tomorrow.
coming soon...

Chapter 6
AN: Haven’t watched the new season yet. But unfortunately, I fell victim to spoilers and bitch
I’m not ready. Also, I’m not even going to talk about how late this shit is, I’m truly sorry. But hey, quarantine calls for major writing and catching up! Hope you enjoy!! The end, I know the saying is “Old habits die hard” But it kind of makes more sense what i have, whatever blah blah blah...ignore me! Enjoy and all feedback is welcome!!
DISCLAIMER: I DON’T OWN ANYTHING OF ON MY BLOCK. I ONLY OWN MY CHARACTERS, DAISY, JACKIE, MADELINE, AND ANDREW.
Rollerworld. Do I think it’s real? Ehh kinda. So, I think that the robbery was real, and that Lil Ricky and some other Santos hid the money. But it’s still a little far-fetched. I mean if you think about it someone would've found the money by now. Right?
“So now Jamal has the boys roped into believing that the money is real. It’s stupid right?” Oh, that’s right, I was supposed to be listening to Monse.
“Yeah...yeah that’s crazy but Monse, what if he’s right?” Turning in my seat I connect with identical chocolate eyes. It’s strange, it’s like I'm looking in a mirror. “What if they robbed the bank, okay, then they hid the money so that only the chosen one can find it.”
“Not you too,” She sighed and threw her head back. “Jamal said the same thing. Someone called him the ‘chosen one’ and that he’d be the one to find the money.”  Strange.
“Anyways, what are you guys doing for Halloween? I hope y’all aren’t going out trick or treating-”
“I’m not ready to date Cesar!” Monse yells.
“Okay...”
“Did you not hear me?”
“Oh no, I heard you loud and clear.” Smacking my lips as I take a sip from my glass. “You said you weren’t ready to date Cesar.”
“Does that not surprise you?”
“No
”
“Well, why not?”
“Monse, you’re 14, nobody expects you to be in love. But there’s definitely something between you two.” Shrugging I get up to take our empty dishes to the kitchen.
“Definitely not in love
but how could I ever date a Santos? Cesar has changed, he’s not safe anymore.”
~~
“Let me be very clear Daisy, you will never be involved with a Santos. All they do is kill and walk around like they own the world, it’s too dangerous for you.”
“Just like the Prophets then?”
“Don’t, you know it’s not like that Daisy. The-”
“They’re all the same, the Prophets, the Santos, Bloods, Crips. They all walk around like someone owes them something. I’m not afraid of anything dad, I can handle myself.”
“Not when you’re carrying around one of those things. For goodness sakes Daisy, the guy that got you pregnant was just locked up and you’re just walking around here like nothing happened
”
“No,ïżœïżœïżœ
“I don’t want this life for you Daisy. You’re not going to make it. That baby is going to be raised om a broken home with no father. Things like this don’t end well. You and Oscar won’t make it Daisy.”
“JUST STOP!” A white porcelain plate fell to the ground in a million pieces.
“Daisy you need to calm down.” A very blurry Monte walks towards me slowly with his hands out in front of him, like he was trying to assist a wild animal.
“No, everyone goes on about my choices. What about yours and mamas. Both of you have made mistakes, but in the end both of you are doing just fine.” Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed like a broken stream. I fell to ground clutching my chest and before I knew it, I was wailing like a banshee. Strong arms wrapped around me, as I was pulled into a warm chest.
“It’s going to be okay baby, I promise.” Kisses were littered across my forehead.
~~
“Let me tell you something Monse. You can feel however you want to feel about anyone. Just know that whatever happens, it’s all on you. You’re old enough to know from right and wrong.” Groaning, my knees pop as I get from my kneeling position in front of Monse. “Date him if you want to, there’s nothing wrong with it. Just remember what the consequences are.”
“But you dated Oscar, were you never afraid he would put you in danger?”
“He never, not once, put my life in danger. I was his world.”
“Then what happened, why do you hate him now?” A loud click echoes through the now quiet and dimly lit living room, as I lock the dead bolt on the front door.
“Goodnight Monse!”
~~
HAllOWeEn
My favorite time of the year, trick or treating, decorated pumpkins, little kids in cute costumes, the eeriness of going out at nighttime, hauntings, and the spookiness of not knowing what lurks in the-
“BOO!” Dark. Yelping, I jump so hard that I manage to fling orange icing at the cause of my heart attack.
“Andrew, I really hate you!” my feet move before I could even think, I’m snatching paper towels and stomping over towards him to clean up the mess.
“Hey, well this is a big surprise. I didn’t expect to get hit with icing. Also isn’t today your day off?” He turns around once I finish wiping down his shirt, to hang up his black denim levi jacket.
“It is, well was, I decided to come in and give an extra hand.” Shrugging I move back to the bowl filled with icing and resume lathering the cake.
“Or are you avoiding a certain someone?” Here we go.
“Nope, I’m trying to do my job Andrew, and you’re slowing me down. So, shut up and stop it.” Not gonna lie, I was avoiding said person. I don’t want anything to do with him right now, but I feel it deep in my bones that I’m gonna end up with him tonight. A bell tinkled as the front door to the bakery opened.
“I say we go to Brentwood!”
“No, we don’t leave out the house tonight, I say we stay in and watch movies.” Glancing up I see Ruby, Jamal, Monse, and Olivia walk in and sit down at a corner booth.
“What’s wrong with going out?” Olivia turned her head to the side looking at Monse.
“Last year we got rolled up on. Not fun at all. But hey, scary movies are just as fun.”
“Let’s go to Brentwood.”
“I say we go out tonight, think we go somewhere different, -“
“Brentwood
”
“Brentwood, let’s go to Brentwood.”
“It is safer, bigger houses, that means better candy!” Monse enthusiastically replies leaning closer to Olivia. “But what about Cesar?”
“What about him?”
“Where will he be?”
“Riding in Oscar’s Impala, why does it even matter?”
“Just asking I thought it’d be good to include him; he is a part of the group.” The questioning went back and forth for a while, before they went on to tease each other. I slide the cake in the fridge to firm before heading to the front with cookies, and cupcakes and laying them on the table in front of them.
“I’m feeding y’all sweets before trick or treating, y’all better start loving me more.” I love you’s were quickly spread around the group.
“So, I guess you’re going out?”
“Do you wanna give us- “
“Hell no,” Laughing I turn around to check the checkout line. “I’m not getting mixed up in any foolery tonight, I’m staying in and handing out candy, but um good luck!” Walking into the kitchen I hang my apron and fetch my belongings.
“Someone let Maddie know I’m gone for the day!” I welcome the warm fresh kiss against my face as I step outside, I just smell trouble.
~~
For the rest of the evening I’m cleaning the kitchen, swiffering the floors, and dancing around to music when I get a knock at the door.
“Oh, my first trick or tr-eaters.” I all but run to the door just to be met with chocolate eyes adorned with a teardrop and white teeth.
“Trick or treat!”
“Sorry, I’m not handing any candy out tonight.” I try to close the door, but I’m met with force.
“Let me in Daisy, we need to talk.” Knowing he wasn’t going to leave until I follow his orders, I place the bowl on the accent table by the door and make my way back to the kitchen.
“How come every time you want to talk; it has to be on your terms? When I wanted to talk you weren’t up to it.”
He scoffs, “How come you didn’t want to talk all those years ago?”
“If you’re going to continue to bring it up then you can find your way back out my damn door,” Placing my hands on my wide hips. “Now, are you hungry?”
“Feed me mamacita, you know I’m always hungry.” Quickly I warm some leftovers, creamy shrimp Alfredo with garlic bread. Small talk was made as we ate, and trick or tr-eaters came and went. Everything was calm until Oscar got a weird text message.
“I gotta go!” He mumbles through clenched teeth.
“Woah, woah, what’s going on? Is everything okay?” Jumping up, I trail after him to the door.
“Cesar needs me.” I grab his arm and turn him to face me.
“What happened to him? Is he hurt?”
“No, but he and his friends crashed a pa- “
“Wait, he went with them tonight?” He nods, “I’m going with you and don’t try to stop me, Monse is with them. So, I’m going!” Within 5 minutes I’m perched in the passenger side of his red impala and we’re speeding to Brentwood. A large and warm hand is placed upon my thigh and that’s when I realized how bad I was shaking.
“They’re okay, no one is seriously hurt.” Yeah, that wasn’t very convincing. My fucking nerves are fried. His hand stays there the rest of the way. Brentwood is one beautiful neighborhood. For the rich. The kids come into view as he comes to a stop in front of some party, with a group of young boys standing outside. Before I can even think, Oscar is out and speed walking to the kid dressed up like a Cholo. Oh fuck.
“Spooky!” I yell as soon as I step out the car. He begins whispering and the poor kid starts shaking. Footsteps come rushing over when I hear a familiar voice call my name. I meet the halfway and carefully check everyone over before I return my focus to Oscar.
“What do you want?” I guess you don’t mess with anyone Oscar loves.
~~
We drop Monse off at dads, with the promise of me coming back to pick her up later, and everyone else at Ruby’s. Oscar comes back to my house to “make sure I make it back safe”.
“I’ll be okay Oscar, I promise. Plus, I’m going to get Monse in a bit.”
“I wasn’t going to hurt him.” Blowing air, I turn to face him.
“If he would’ve drew blood from any of them, would you have hurt him?” He looks me in my eyes, and I feel goosebumps rise as he starts moving towards me.
“I don’t like when someone messes with the people I love, or who they love.” One step backwards for every step forward.
“You didn’t answer my question.” I whisper as my back hits a wall. His hands immediately come to rest on my face.
“I’ll kill anyone who hurts my loved ones.” Soft lips fall upon mine, and before I know it my thighs are wrapped around his waist and we’re on our way to my bedroom. Well tonight didn’t go as planned. Especially once I end up underneath him. Bad habits die hard they say
and you Oscar Diaz, you’re my bad habit
