What inspired Ditzy Doo's Bubble Envelope Cutie Mark? It honestly so creative, pretty, and well...cute!!!

The iridescence - effect honestly reminds me of those SpongeBob Bubbles!

Glad you like it! I was inspired by the idea of Ditzy having a cutie mark that ties into her Element (that she delivers cheer!) and of course the AU is meant to take the existing background ponies and their traits and just give them a main character makeover! Ditzy is iconic so especially for her I wanted to make sure she had all her particular identifying traits - her wall eyes, her bright blonde hair, her bubble mark - while just making her design as if Hasbro wanted her to be a main character instead of her ascending to mascot status by accident!

So I came up with bubble envelopes! Delivery aspect + Original concept! Plus, I thought it could be a fun way to pull more colors in since even giving her a bit of brightening, she is still the one with the most understated coat in the Swap Six - I did, in fact, reference the Spongebob bubbles, I find them very pretty!

A couple DJ Octavio doodles

The context for these two up here was based on a discussion with some friends for an anti-hero/villain story mode.

For mine, I made it so you’re working under Octavio himself directly (he isn’t floating like in-game with his machine, instead he’s sitting!)

I wasn’t sure how to interpret his hat, so I made it like that one spongebob hat, with the two drinks at the side. I figured it would help push his silhouette and also making it funny lmao.

This one is just fem Octavio (because I can). This is also an old one too. I still like the expression I gave them here!

I believe I also had an AU idea with Octavio and Cuttlfish being swapped basically, and Cuttlfish being the one in ink form. I didn’t think that far into it though… I should’ve ngl.

Spongebob Anniversary Day 3

My take on Spongetale

SpongeBob is Papyrus, Patrick is Sans, Plankton is Chara, Sandy is Undyne, Squidward is Alphys, Mr. Krabs is Mettaton, Bubble Buddy is Flowey but with elements of the Dirty Bubble

Instead of different soul colors they will instead affect your soul in different ways like Undertale Yellow. Patrick and SpongeBob will trap you soul in a bubble making the game into a flappy bird style Sandy will lasso your soul which would be the same as when Starlo lassos your soul in Undertale Yellow, restricting your movement to a spinning circle area. Squidward would give your soul a string with money when fighting Mr. Krabs on it which will swing with your soul and if it's hit by a yellow attack (which will have a circle on them) it will grab it and you need to pull in the opposite direction to escape. So basically in the fight you need to protect that coin from being grabbed

And Daisuke??? You're breaking my HEART with him!! The youngest, most hopeful in the crew, being the nurse here. On a serious note, I'm crying thinking about Swap! Daisuke. Unless he's an intern nurse for Swap!Swansea here, they put the nurse in TRAINING in charge of all of this! Alone! Gosh, imagine the pressure he's under; in charge of the psych evals, in charge of all their health, while still skimming through whatever books he has on hand trying to figure out what he's supposed to be doing. That's not even mentioning post crash, having to figure out how to take care of Jimmy's injuries. I'm in tears at the thought of this useless ray of goddamn sunshine being utterly crushed by the pressure. You're killing me here.

That's how I usually feel when I think about the Male and Female role swap between the Franchise's Sea Gods.

Like say have the Wives of the Sea Kings be the Titular Main Rulers of the Sea (even in Different Timelines) rather than their own Husbands, while also having Triton and Mindy given different personalities.

It be way too easy if you put that kind of Swap choice on a piece of paper.

Basic dynamics for the swap au. Meggy: While she has Canon Mario’s goofiness, she is a bit smarter, but more hyperactive. (If Canon Mario is Patrick, Swap Meggy is SpongeBob). Mario: Very laidback and chill, he was never really into Turf Wars, only joining them to support his brother. When Meggy meets him, he is actually a food salesman who serves a mentor figure to her. He only enters Splatfests after Luigi’s death. Desti only has Luigi’s role in the sense of close loved one, her and Meggy are not siblings, and instead in a relationship.

SMG3 and Meggy have a SpongeBob-Squidward dynamic at first. While Meggy finds the new person in the Koopa Kingdom cool, 3 finds Meggy really annoying at first and only turns to her after realizing her adventures would be good content. The two bond overtime however.

3 also finds Mario hot.

Tari is probably my favorite concept She is still an unpopular video game character but for different reasons than Saiko. She was basically her game’s equivalent to Antoine from Sonic Satam. The incompetent coward that serves to make the main hero (Belle) look cool. Most of the fan base dismissed her as an annoyance and an pointless addition. Whimpu liked her however, and one day accidentally him and Meggy bring Tari to life. She becomes part of the group, but doesn’t seem to be interested with getting to know everyone. After an exchange leads to Desti trying to train her, Tari reveals that with all of the times she served as the subject of a joke, with any attempt of making friends resulting in her getting laughed at or manipulated, she feels she doesn’t deserve good things and was waiting for the crew to betray her. Of course, the crew show that they care about her and she slowly gets over her self-loathing and becomes more confident. Though there was a bit of trouble when Puzzles released Belle, who assumed Tari was being brainwashed again and got into a fight. After that, Belle has her own arc of learning that while being a “hero,” she was also a jerk and tries to improve herself.

Compared to 3, who reveled in his evil in canon, SMG4 is more focused on the end goal of being a success. He spends his first few years in a toned down version of his “IGBP” mindset: obsessed with becoming popular and lashing out at the world around him. He does get a redemption arc and slowly gets his life together, slowing becoming closer to his current canon self.
