^Sweet Millennial Baby, how are we the same age?

Put Millennial Baby and Lovable Gaming Doctor in one room and sweetness overload. The episodes are getting better and better with time (a nice play on words XD), probably since in order to get every Heisei Rider into the episodes, the premise had to be set up super-fast in the first episode. But now that’s the past and I’m looking to the future for this series

So much for my six month hate/denial spree I usually get for other seasons...

I forgot to do a review last week but I can catch up later :)

The plot hole where Emu remembers his Rider days gets explained as the minute Another Rider Ex-Aid is defeated, he has no problem taking down some Geiz and Zi-O butt. Too bad he should be aiming those visual effects at another enemy…

Aura is so pretty, she reminds me of Korean actress Jang Nara. Too bad she’s a villainess…I’m getting the feeling that she’s going to die in the end no She has no problem with playing with the visual attack effects of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid (fourth-wall break right there), opening a rift in this week’s monster host and reactivating his powers. This week’s (or rather this two-parter’s) host is a father with an ill son, hence why he’s seeking players that have a small stature and organs that can be used as a donor for his son. The cause is kinda noble but at the same time, if not for Hiro saying that it was too late to operate in 2018, I wonder what would’ve happened if he did find a player with a compatible heart…shivers

Emu + not smiling = What has happeNED to YOU Emu not smiling is like taking the cream out of a Victoria sponge cake, there’s something missing – is he seriously sick of being everyone’s kicking dummy, even the host of the week pushes him over

Whenever Sougo talked to Emu, I was basically screaming “USE HONORIFICS HE’S OLDER THAN YA”

Emu Deserves Respect From the First Meeting

Geiz is still tsundere towards Sougo (I have the feeling Geiz x Sougo is going to be the OTP  as per fandom consensus and I know I’m going to be alone in my Geiz/Tsukuyomi or Sougo/Tsukuyomi pairing OTL) and he says he’s going to beat the monster in 2016…but predictably doesn’t. What is it with 2018 and tokusatsu heroes saying they’ll beat monsters in so and so time only to fail XD Guess it reaffirms that only a Rider power of the respective year can defeat the Another Rider. I wonder if that means Geiz takes spotlight for Drive and Ghost…

Sougo is downtrodden (poor baby…wait, we’re the same age) by Geiz’s harshness towards him, and though it’s understandable from the audience’s POV and by the wide-known premise, I don’t think anyone would feel good about some future dude striding around in baby buckles, saying that you ruined his life when you don’t even know how you became an overlord tbh Tsukuyomi, ever the caring one, explains on behalf of Geiz as they both lost loved ones and Sougo had been Innocently Insensitive (well, he’s already said he’s going to be a good Demon Overlord of all things) by asking Geiz if he knows what it’s like to loved ones. Hence why he wants to annihilate Millennial Baby and that has Sougo asking Tsukuyomi if she wants to get rid of him. After some contemplation, she says she doesn’t know but for now, she wants to help him

Sougo even seems flattered by that and ends up saying that he trusts Geiz and Tsukuyomi to take him down when the time is right

I found my ship I’m shipping Tsukuyomi x Sougo, fingers crossed that the lack of official material not giving her last name doesn’t mean she’s related to him bc I will be saltier than the time of Philip and Wakana over OTPs and may the story be good in its own right to compensate

Geiz warns 2016!Ex-Aid Riders, but Hiiro dismisses it as folly (yo, you like, have a fantasy motif for your Gashat and basically fight with the power of video games, how can you not believe in time travel) and Emu doesn’t seem perturbed by this, even saying that Geiz isn’t that much better from Hiiro BURN OMG EMU XD

Even the kids acknowledge he’s wearing baby buckles as he’s trying remove the kids wanting to play with it OTL

When is Woz going to appear, aside from being a troll in the opening dialogue?

Oh wait, he’s here, and turns on The Ham as Sougo bears the Kamen Rider Ex-Aid armour

I’m guessing about 10+ Riders are appearing so More Hammy Speeches are upcoming YES Woz has my favourite character aesthetic so far, check out that beautiful face

Before Sougo can assist Geiz back in time, Wool shoves in with a Time Mazine and they battle it out before Sougo knocks him down and goes to the past

Why...aren’t you taking Tsukuyomi?

Why have you mastered the Time Mazine so quickly, is it that easy to operate?

At least Sougo takes the time to actually marvel over his new armour in a fashion worthy of Gaim Kouta searching For A Henshin Pose

Also why did you de-henshin when you got out into 2016 air, I mean, I get it furthers the effectiveness of your heroic speech but ????

C h a r a c t e r  f l e s h i n g for Sougo yes! I still have no idea about where exactly his morals and dreams lie, barring the atypical Kamen Rider desire to protect the innocents, so it’ll be nice to see where he’ll go

He seems to be the type that innocently trusts people, as he believes (as aforementioned) that Tsukuyomi and Geiz will be able to stop him when the time is right. Maybe that’s why he keeps saying to people he wants them as the head of some department in his future kingdom. And it’s probably why he has no hard feelings towards anyone (the villains are still sketchy at this point, so who knows if he’ll have Evolto Worthy Hate for them), down to the friend who flipped him onto concrete

He. Is. A. Dork. That awkward but boyish cheer as he wears the Ex-Aid armour, he uses the special visual attack effects to launch an attack on the Another Rider Ex-Aid, manages to say the Ex-Aid motto correctly (earning him a proud papa nod from Emu, the sweetie) and the smile he gives as he watches the Another Ex-Aid host walking with his now healthy son – HOW ARE WE THE SAME AGE YOU’RE SO CUTE, I WANNA SQUISH YOUR CHEEKS NOW TOT GEIZ YOU LUCKY GUY

He’s brilliant but lazy. He has no interest in his studies but manages to piece together the similarities between the players Another Ex-Aid is attacking, and calls him out for threatening the well-being of other people for one person. The needs of many over one might be his motto, I think

He doesn’t use honorifics on older people. Okay, I know this is just for the Riders and it shows a sign of a close senpai-kohai relationship but you met them just in one day and yet you don’t use honorifics for Sento who’s about nine years older and Emu who’s now eight years older, it’s been bothering me throughout the episode XD I guess I just want Emu to be respected and not get pushed over or whatever

He turns serious when becoming Zi-O. It’s standard for Kamen Rider but even Gentarou, a sweet Hammy high schooler, barely lost his “kick butts first and befriend later or befriend first and handshake” outlook on life while fighting Gamou of all people. Sougo gets into a serious pose and…gosh, this is the first time I thought that Sougo was so cool

In comparison to Sento, who’s a nice rabbit man but is barely pleased by Sougo’s…inability to work out physics equations and do the proper pose, Emu immediately assists Millennial Baby by directing him in his “no continues” catchphrase and showing him the actions to a finisher…though that finisher is for an Ex-Aid season Rider belt, but details, details – in a way that screams Emu Isn’t Broken aka he’s sweet and eager even now, thank goodness

Though he does say “that’s not quite right” when Sougo does the finisher of katakana/English/words – I think that’s the recurring saying for all past Riders now XD

+ Sougo’s finishers are characters

So creating a time loop is a consistent trope for Sougo...what if a Past Rider doesn’t produce a Rider Watch?

Man, I want that food, Uncle Tokiwa is such a good cook

I suddenly had an idea but…but what Sougo is actually from the future? Hence why he’s so certain He Just Can’t Wait to Be King and doesn’t react much to more shocking events aka him being a Demon Overlord PLUS it would be totally tokusatsu to do that and an interesting twist to the usual “side character is from the future” trope

IS GENTAROU COMING BACK????? HIS ACTUALLY ACTOR???? THAT HAS TO BE HIS BACKSIDE AND THAT HAIR, ARE WE GOING 2011-2012?????

They get to go to Gentarou’s high school the nostalgia is great

If they really got just Ohsugi-sensei for this Fourze anniversary, I will be >-< not pleased, it’s a Rider anniversary, for goodness sake, or are they trying to keep spoilers away?

So Faiz is coming to town too and – just – uh why is Kusaka back? Like personally I DO NOT like the freak and was kinda glad that he got killed off in the original series because he wouldn’t be coming back and doing bad things to everyone but…then he keeps getting revived and – just, I’m thankful his actor is a sweetheart, otherwise I wanna throw a shoe
