A major reason why Navia kisses S/O like there's no tomorrow, is because she doesn't know what day might be her last with S/O.

Navia had lost so many people she cared about through her life.

As much as she despised to think about it, she couldn't entirely deny the possibility of them meeting the same fate.

That being said, Navia would fight tooth and nail, expend every last bullet and every fiber of her being to make sure that S/O would live to see another sunrise over the waters with her.

And showing her affection, she does not want to think about a "what if" of not showing them enough love.

As flamboyant and loving as her kisses are in public, there is a much softer side she does not show anyone outside their room.

The kiss is much softer, but her grip around S/O is just as tight, perhaps even tighter than before, if such a thing were possible.

She rests her forehead against theirs, her blue eyes shut as quietly breathes through her nose.

The more insecure she's feeling that day, the more clingy her kisses become.

She absolutely melts whenever they return her admittedly overbearing affection, resting her head on their shoulders.

Headcanons! Some Spoilers?

My first post got a lot more attention than I thought it would, so I'm just gonna drop some headcanons. I'll do a few different characters from different shows, anime/mangas, etc. If you don't know much about the characters, there will be some info on them that some people may not know already (Ex; character death, big events, whatever).

Some HCs are on the sad side while others are just silly, nonserious ones.

Also, if you disagree with any of these HCs, that's totally fine! Please just don't be negative about it or anything. And if you want to correct me on anything, go right ahead.

First up, I'm gonna do Jason Todd from the Batman Comics/shows. I love Jason so much, nothing could ever make me hate him <3

I feel like he'd believe in "hair holding memories" thing, so after his death and revival, he'd shave his head countless times to try and forget all the bad memories. Poor boy :(

For a happier HC, I think he'd be an absolute boss at Just Dance or automatically become the God of a video game that any of his younger 'siblings' need help with beating.

I also have a slight feeling he'd cheat during a silly 'family game night' thing and be hiding uno cards in his jacket or something LOL. Bro's the type to make one move during a game of chess before giving up and flipping the board.

Onto Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen :D

I used to be a huge Gojo hater for no reason lol, but now he's kinda one of my favorites.

Since it's canon that he has a sweet tooth, I have a feeling he stress eats/bored eats (eats a bunch when stressed out or bored) and gets tummy aches pretty often from that.

I feel like he'd tear up a dance floor at a stupid little highschool event or something, but not like normal dancing. Bro probably dances like a Hotel Transylvania character LMFAO.

Sweet Tooth: Season 3 Review--NOT SPOILER FREE

Okay, so this season, I actually managed to take my time with it and not binge it all in one day. Overall, I thought this show was really sweet and had one of the best found families when it came to this trope. It was just very unique too, imo; I don't remember seeing anything involving hybrids like Gus that also tie into a post apocalyptic world. The show is based off a comic of the same name, so maybe one day I will check it out. If you didn't read the title, this is NOT spoiler free, so reader beware. The show continues with Gus and his friends trying to find Birdie, Gus' mom. They get information that she is up in Alaska. So now, from Colorado, they must make their way up to Alaska while avoiding the Zhang family, who is intent on capturing Gus and using him to find a cure for The Sick. This season is a bit darker in comparison to the previous seasons, imo, but it is like going through a tunnel, while being able to see the light at the end. This season I would say is probably when Gus is forced to face the world for what it is---he sees the cruelness of people, the greediness of people, and lots of death. The end kind of had me laughing since Zhang's people turned out to not be as loyal she thought. She was still set on sacrificing Gus to try and reverse The Sick so human birth could start again. But, I think they were more than happy to be alive, and to be free of The Sick, than to think about following her again. But they made up with those at the Alaska base and helped them rebuild.

With everything that happened in this season, the goal was to get to a cave where The Sick originated. Birdie had the notebook of Captain James Thatcher, who was the first to discover The Sick, and thus, he and his crew were the first to contract it. However, with all the notes, there was no location written down of the whereabouts of this cave. Gus and Dr. Singh were going off of vision like dreams, while Zhang is just trailing after Gus.

There is a lot of death in this season, from the entire ship of dead they run into, to the death of Dr. Singh, who saved Gus from getting crushed by a rock. But I think the saddest death was that of Birdie, Gus' mom. They'd only just met each other, seen each other for the first time, and she died after not even knowing him for a day. But she died for him, to protect her baby. Personally, I think she sacrificed herself to save Jepp, who was closer to Gus and just as protective.

Towards the end of season two, with the narrator's voice, I started thinking for certain that, "This is Gus as an adult." And I was right. The ending shows an aged Gus and Wendy telling the other hybrids a story of "Big Man". Basically, the cure for The Sick, was development of The Sick itself. People, humans, were the illness and the The Sick was created to be a cure. So the humans that were left were the last generation of humans. Everyone born after that was a hybrid. Honestly, I think it was a cool way to end things. For something that you think was going to end sadly, being set "post apocalypse/ fall of society), it has such a sweet ending. Literally, it was tooth rotting sweet--so the show name does justice, haha. Think of it like a phoenix rising from the ashes I suppose. You think everything is lost, the world has ended, but it has only just begun anew.

FYI I started Arcade mode before World Tour, and I’m glad I did that because the story made more sense that way. I feel like the stories from Arcade mode takes place before the events of WT. That being said, here are my thoughts on the original World Warriors and other characters.

It seems that almost all of the original world warriors just want to settle down. Ryu found peace and doesn’t fall for the Satsui No Hado. He continues on with his fighting spirit. Guile wants to stay as a family man, Chun-Li wants to teach. Zangief, Dhalsim, wants to teach too.

E. Honda owns a Chanko restaurant in Metro City.

Things are also looking bright for both Blanka and Dee Jay. Blanka became a Tour guide because he wanted to make his mom proud. His work became well known that he even got a movie deal. He’s also passionate about rainforest preservation. Dee Jay has a great music career and he too got a movie deal with Fei Long.

Cammy is currently investigating on JP because of his Shadaloo association…but she also wants to settle down and be happy with Juni and her former Doll sisters. They’re all living happy lives now. RIP März tho.

Li-Fen is a lot more involved with the World Tour story. Honestly before the game dropped, I thought Li-Fen would play second fiddle to Chun-Li and would hardly do anything, but it’s quite the opposite of that. Chun-Li, like all the characters are taking a back seat, allowing the younger generation to shine. I like how Li-Fen developed as a character. We hardly know her at all in SF3. SFV made her into a shy computer prodigy. In SF6, she plays a much more active part in helping the avatar. And grew up to have a spunky personality.

Also characters like Sodom, Abigail, Poison and Hugo seem to be thriving. They all run legitimate businesses.

Retsu didn’t have much personality in SF1. There were depictions of his character in Japanese comics (I never read them), but I think SF6 fleshed him out the most. Looks like he has a sense of humor and is generally more lax and cheerful than one would expect. He continues on competing in tournaments and enjoying life. He also has a sweet tooth too.

I have a feeling that for many of the original world warriors, this may be their last Street Fighter. They’re happy and content. If there’s trouble, they’d have their protégés and the avatar to succeed them. Don’t quote me on this, this is just my take lol.

But that leaves Ken. He’s still in hiding tho. I wonder if he’ll eventually get his happy ending like the others.

Juri didn’t get her revenge on Bison and that’s been bugging her for years. It’s sad to think that she never moved on from that between the end of SFV, during SF3, and then into SF6. She may or may not have her peace, thus she’ll most likely be in future installments of Street Fighter. She hasn’t found her happy ending yet…

Spoilers under the cut for those that haven’t watched season 2 of Sweet Tooth yet. I'm super late making this post because of unfortunate life events but here we go.

Season 2 was really good. I managed to have the energy to watch it upon release and it didn’t take me long to get through. I ended up finishing it only a few days into May.

It was nice to see Gus’s relationship with the other hybrids, though most of them that were there at the end of season 1 obviously were killed off and it’s odd that they forgot about all of them except for Roy. That was a shame. I can’t remember many of the surviving hybrid kids’ names, but the raccoon girl, Tommy Turtle, the bird girl, and the owl (?) girl are my favorites.

I was disappointed that Johnny was killed and I was hoping that General Abbot missed his shot and didn’t hit something vital. I was expecting Johnny to be found and actually help them against Abbot and be the one to kill him. Am I the only one who started shipping Johnny with Rani? I think they would have been a cute couple because it seemed like they maybe were starting to like one another as both he and Adi started going through their own mindset change. I wish Johnny and Rani would have ended up together.

I also started shipping Aimee with Jepperd. I was surprised that they killed her off. I was a bit disappointed, but it makes sense because her role will be Bear's now to fulfill. I was hoping that Aimee would have ended up with Jepperd, but I had a theory that the one Last Men guy lied to him about his family being dead and gave him some random people's bones and that his family was somehow still alive. I figured that Jepperd would find them alive again next season or a later season (which would be more likely), but then Netflix confirmed that Sweet Tooth was canceled after season 3 which sucks because the comics were apparently much longer and they could have made the series longer. Now I feel like Birdie and Jepperd will end up together perhaps.

Bear and Wendy's reunion was very nice. She'll do anything for her sister. Now she has the rest of the hybrids to protect and it will be interesting to see how their life unfolds with Bear. They've all been through so much and deserve happiness.

This brings me next to the Animal Army. I wish they could have gotten more screen time after Tiger had them betray Bear. They were an important organization and deserved more time to shine before they got killed off this season. I was happy that Tiger and Bear were reunited and that she could get her little redemption arc. Tiger died doing the right thing and was able to warn Bear that the Last Men were coming. I wish she could have lived longer.

Also, that teen boy Bear met when she snuck into the Last Men. I've already forgotten his name. I wonder if he survived and if we will see him next season. I feel like he could have been an important piece this season. He could have been one that could have been brainwashed and come to realize that hybrids aren't the bad ones. He could have seen the light if he would have stuck around Bear. They both could have been important to each other's character. I also started shipping them too. I wonder if we will see him next season and if we will get a reunion between them.

Season 3 is going to have a lot of shoes to fill: Gus and Jepperd's journey to find Birdie, Birdie making the cure, whatever Adi will be up to, whatever Rani is up to now that she's off on her own, Bear and the hybrid kids, and the woman who will take over as the villain for season 3. I wonder how they will get everything done in around 12 episodes. Maybe they will make a few movies?? Who knows. I can't wait to see what happens. I enjoyed this series a lot and I don't want to see it end so soon. I'm such a sucker for found family elements.

I’ve been looking for other media that will resonate like ofmd does for me

I was thinking about what other media has hit me in such personal specific ways as ofmd. So maybe I can crack the code and find even more???

Predictably I’m not having a lot of luck but I DID come up with 1 example: Severance on apple tv.

If you haven’t watched both shows, it may seem like an odd pairing, because OFMD is (mostly) a comedy (wth dramatic bits) and Severance is (mostly) a drama/thriller (with comedic bits). But what can I say my brain sparked to them both in a similar way! And I think there are reasons.

~ the mildest spoilers for seasons 1 of severance and ofmd ~

Both shows have:

10/10 ensemble comedy gold. Original, weird, character-based, funny joke-ass jokes and flawless comedic performances and amazing riffing. (OK so OFMD is a comedy and has much more of this? But even though Severance is NOT a comedy, its comic relief pops up in every ep and is extremely well done.)

a similar … editorial lushness? That thing of, every frame has something juicy to notice, fun little details, little nuances in facial expressions, inside jokes, meaningful uses of color or light or whatever. Also maybe: that thing where every scene is tightly edited to be ~just the good parts~ so by the end of the ep you’re like, that was v satisfying but also I need to apply another coat of it to my consciousness immediately because I’m sure I missed something.

awakenings. ok this is going to be a nebulous half-baked description but. There is this similar theme of characters unmasking / awakening / discovering and trusting themselves / going for things that society doesn’t expect for them. This thing of realizing the truth is within. IMO this is such a healing and important trope and I want to see so much more of it. You could argue this is more blatant in the pirate show? but I think it’s an important part of severance too.

By the way! Those first two bullets just make these things “good,” and plenty of things are good. I think it’s the third one that really makes the difference.

A few more thoughts:

If you are a pirates fan but haven’t seen Severance:

You would like these goofballs riffing in their cubicles for sure.

If you love Black Pete, you will love Dylan.

A character writes a self-help book you will like a lot.

There’s a tooth-achingly sweet gentle delicate romance tucked away within this fairly dark show and it is SO GOOD.

Severance is a lot darker than ofmd but idk, there’s enough sunshine streaming in. it’s joyful too.

If you are a severance fan but haven’t seen Our Flag Means Death:

Underdogs. Underdogs who are pirates. Because lawful society does not welcome them. And they find their chosen family and. Sorry I need to cry I’ll brb.

If you love Ricken (and even if you don’t) (but who doesn’t?????), you will also love Stede.

If you love The You You Are, you will love talking it through as a crew.

If you love the plant room, you will love this one little well cared for plant?

If you love queer romance watch this show.

In summary my brain liked these things a similar amount thank you for coming to my seminar.

pssst do Rung for the character thing

1: Rung has survivors guilt constantly. He manages it better then like say Hot Shot from armada. but constantly surviving shit no one else can fucks him up.

2: His model building is partly as a coping mechanism to say that if he ever died and was forgotten.. those models are proof he existed.

3: Terrible sweet tooth. But he's also that old mech that hands out candy to younger souls who seems like they might need it.

4: He's got a constant tug and pull on relationships. He feels he can't allow himself to get close to anyone when any one could end up a patient, but he can't help but grow attached in an instant.

5: Rung is a hopeless romantic, but keeps it to himself. He loves seeing people's relationships blossom, but he feels he can't comment on it much.

6: Rung is sometimes grateful to being forgettable, makes it easier to survive when those in his profession seem to be cut down pretty quickly during the war.

7: Functionist Verse Rung... sometimes counts the ways he could die and stay dead. Hoping this next attempt kills him.

8: After surviving so much wit the council. Functionist verse Rung eventually started counting ways he could escape. Or make life hell for his captors.
