!!!CHARACTER DESIGN CHANGE!!!!

In a silly experiment of "what would my octolings look like as inklings (except Mark because he needs his afro)" I realized that Layla is SO. CUTE. As an inkling. SOOOO Layla is now an inkling! I'm going to draw her at some point to get all the actual design points in like her freckles, body shape, etc. etc. BUT YEAH THAT'S ALL HERE'S CUTE LAYLA WJAHQ

Callie, marie, Craig, or Octavio. Callie would let them do whatever, marie would have a plan, Craig would give them the hardest time, Octavia would be stuck trying to understand what tf everyone is doing

Promotion.

Over a frail frame, this world is placed. Shoulders shaking, back breaking, you carry on. Silent, alone.

3, at first, felt even more of a burden when they were given the cap. A liability. Futher trapped in a legacy they wanted no more part in.

They felt they were a burden bc of the inknemia. Theyre torn up abt their body and its new limitations. For a while they didnt like the idea of being taken off the field bc it just told them that they cant do what they used to.

Later, they grew to accept it. This is the only way they can protect this fragile world without getting themself killed. Its a limit they learned to live with.

They also accepted it because of 4 and 8, even if they werent around anymore (at that time)...

They took this role for them. For them and all the other hopes and dreams of Inkadia.

They have to stay, they have to fight. For everyone to have a world they can follow their dreams in. Nevermind their own dream, if they had one. This is all that matters now.

They are going to make sure nobody else has to go through the horrors they have. They will carry the world on their weakened shoulders because they are NOT going to damn anyone else to this role. Theyve been doing this since they hatched.

They'll be fine.

I've recently hosted an Aggie session with friends, and felt like sharing the doodles I've drawn myself on the canvas. I still don't like the brushes on there but eh gotta adapt and all.

what kind of relationship do your agents have with the idols? are callie and marie (and cuttlefish) important to 3/4/8/N3? as support figures through the Horrors of S1 2 and 3? or is it more strictly professional/bankrolling the agent work? maybe even angsty?

and eight.... i have seen many interpretations as actual *idol* figures in marina and pearl to "eight is a trust fund baby lmao"

thinking... cap'n 3 is definitely really really close with callie & marie!! they're great friends to them, almost feel like siblings. as of sploon3 they all sorta Get eachother. they go together! there used to be a sort of teachers & student dynamic between them, but there isnt much of that at all anymore. all of them often feel just as lost as eachother in whatevers going on this time<\3 its that kind of dynamic

cap'n is very close with cuttlefish also... loves him and all his weird eccentricities. sees him as grandpa <:] i like to think cuttlefish can be a lot more emotionally intelligent than he looks.. he was definitely the big Support & Advice giver for three's troubles

four is Less close with the squisters than the cap'n is, but he's still very good friends with them, particularly with marie ofcourse :]

four is also not very close with cuttlefish, since he didn't get to meet him until after he was already settled into Being an agent... he doesn't know what the others see in this weird old man...

eight... still feels a little starstruck VERY awkward around the squisters. hard to be chill around the people who's music clung to your very soul and kept you alive in the darkest part of your life, even once you've met them personally and learnt they're just silly weirdos.. shes getting better but being around them is still sometimes like ouoohhhh my god its THE squid sisters

eight really likes cuttlefish :] grandpa!!! despite all his weirdness he was a great comfort for her through the metro, and was very supportive to her afterwards! continuing my 'cuttlefish is nicer than ppl think he is' propaganda he is Niceys to eight. to me !!!!!
