Sure thing!!!

So what we know about Marina Agitando is that she's VERY DIFFERENT compared to the other evil arcs we've had for Splatoon. Hypno Callie was pretty much regular ol' Callie but more aggressive, emotional and violent, which was shown before in the Splatoon 1 Splatfest dialogue.

However Marina Agitando acts very very differently from regular Marina. And the reason for that is because Order/Overlorder is possessing her and using her body as a vessel. How do we know this? Well firstly, listen to her voice, if you replay the boss fight or watch a YouTube video, listen to when she speaks. You can actually hear Order's voice behind hers.

We don't know how exactly Marina got possessed by Order as the only things we get is some dialogue where Marina is calling for Pearl's help in the tower before getting knocked unconscious.

Marina Agitando is also unable to recognize Pearl and Eight and immediately attacks them on sight, identifying them as "intruders." Unlike Hypno Callie who recognizes Marie but wants her to basically fuck off lmao.

In fact her dialogue is very cold and calculated, much like an ai... you know, Order...

Also, Order said it themselves, Marina acted as a host vessel for itself until it fully developed a form on it's own. Order started off as just a consciousness until it started growing more and more and eventually developing a form as a big ass octopus.

Heck, before Order became Overlorder, their appearance is very ghost like... hmm... and ghosts in media possess others... I wonder if Nintendo is trying to tell us something with visual language... HMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

If you want more proof that Marina Agitando is just a possessed Marina, her song is called "Unconscience" which is a combination of the words "unconscious" and "science." Marina is unconscious as Order uses her body as a vessel to enact it's goals which are based in science and order.

The developers of Splatoon 3 also stated in an interview that Marina doesn't remember making the song too, meaning that Order is the one who sings the song in the boss fight.

So yeah! Hopefully that explains Marina Agitando for ya! And it helps you see why Marina Agitando isn't some "brainwashed/hypnotised/mind controlled Marina." It's just classic possession which Nintendo have done before, a good example is in Paper Mario TTYD, but i won't spoil specifics because the game got a remake this year.

Also fun fact, "Agitando" means agitated or restless, however in musical composition it means to play something with force or accuracy, much like how Marina Agitando's attacks are timed with the music.

Personally I've grown very fond of Agent 96 myself but like- I can't do it with my Agents cause 3 and 4 are brother and sister lol- So I live that ship out vicariously through others Agent 96 instead-

Don’t know if I’ve already shared this but have some side order kallem and Hana (Kal wanted to help with the project but since he’s only like 11 by the time splat 3 and side order hits Marina made him a drone like Pearl so he can be safe but still feel helpful to his big sister)

He has no concept of the fact that the AI are not friendly and are not in fact playing tag with him but that doesn’t stop him from trying and giving Hana multiple heart attacks in the process.

Also he and Smollusk become playmates after a while because Kal likes to hang out with the lil guy and lets him sit on his head while he flies around.

Do u like marie?

There's so much hate on her cause some callie fans hate marie for being a bad cousin. Like, SHES THE BEST COUSIN EVER!😭

I like Marie!!! I think she's pretty cool!

I actually don't see any hate for her online. It's all people who absolutely adore her and she's clearly the Squid Sister with the most amount of love. For every post of Callie, there's like 5 for Marie where they want Marie to impregnate them. /hj

I do feel kinda... weird about how Marie fans tend to be a little bit dismissive towards Callie? Like they just acknowledge Callie's existence and that's it.

I mean I get it, everyone has a preference but, there's more Marie fans than Callie fans and it just feels a bit... idk man. I dont know. When people talk about who's the better Squid Sister (which is a stupid fucking debate btw and we literally got a story mode based around how bad it is) and people say "obviously Marie" I feel... yucky. And a tad pissed off.

Anyhow, I really do like Marie's apperance in Splatoon 3 the most. She's chilled out, she's more happy and her jokes aren't as harsh like in Splatoon 1 where she told Callie to jump into a lake.

Her model looks absolutely fantastic too, they knocked it out of the park when updating her. She's so damn cute.... she's literally me... (minus the good looks)

Also to people say Marie is a bad cousin, fucking read the Squid Sisters Stories prologue for Splatoon 2. You'll change your mind quickly. Like sure her insults at Callie during that time were REALLLL harsh and downright bad but, she's better now. She's a damn good cousin to Callie.
