#spirit tracks zelda for the win

Hi Nell0 how are you? I’m find and thanks for all that useful information for my broken foot! Healing has been ok but it’s hard to be patient for it to heal especially when it’s already hot where I am and I use my pool to swim in it because of my ✨injury✨! Overall patience is virtue they say. Also how that LOZ comic coming along? Reading it while confined would be nice. Ok I’m heading on now but before I go which Zelda is your favorite? I’m torn between WindWaker Tetra and Wild/Tears Zelda! Both badbutt in their own ways! Thx. ♥️
Hello again anon! I hope everything goes well with your foot. I know it seems slow but better slow going and nicely done than rushing and badly healed.
The comic is going okay! I haven't been able to draw much this week bc of work and there was some conferences I needed to attend this weekend (10 hours of my weekend gone, oof) but I'm looking forward to the result when I'm done drawing at least the first part! It would be way faster if I didn't color it but well, I wanted to, so...
Tetra is such a good character, way different than other Zeldas in the franchise. Botw/totk Zelda has the benefit of being a complex character with a good story arc, the way she changes from her experiences. This is honestly difficult to answer bc I like botw/totk Zelda a lot, but if I had to choose one?
Spirit Tracks Zelda. Her chaotic energy is unparalleled in my eyes.

God, imagine being Zelda in Echoes of Wisdom
-You get captured by your kingdom's worst enemy, thought to be merely a legend by those who know of him at all
-You're stuck in some ruined temple with him, trapped in a magical crystal, for who knows how long waiting for who knows what
-Eventually a boy in green clothes and a blue cloak you've never met before shows up and fights the Demon King and wins, like a scene from the fairy tales Impa told you when you were a little girl
-and then something goes horribly wrong, and the boy is sinking, and he looks up at you without a hint of fear on his face and uses his final act to free you
-and just like that you're alone, in the dark, with nothing to do but leave the temple as fast as you can before the rift swallows you too
-you pick up his cloak as you run
-once you're out and your father's men have found you, it sinks in; that boy, that hero, gave everything to save your kingdom
-to save you
-and you don't even know his name
-you get back to the castle and reunite with your father, only for another rift to appear and take him from you too
-and then some thing wearing his face manages to trick everyone into thinking you're the one behind this new crisis and you're trapped again
-(in the darkest corner of your mind you can't help but wonder if you really do share some of the blame somehow. you're the only one who survived the very first rift, after all)
-a strange creature appears before you, offering to help in exchange for your aid, and of course you're wary because you've never seen anything like Tri before and her power seems far too similar to whatever made the imposters that have taken over your kingdom to not be connected somehow, but given the circumstances you really have no choice but to trust her for now
-you sneak your way through the bowels of your own home, past your own soldiers, and at the very end your luck seems to run out... only for Impa, loyal to the end, to jump in and rescue you
-she gives you a disguise and a map and tells you to go to a village to the south where you'll be safe, and she stays behind to cover your tracks
-as you emerge into the sunlight, even with Tri beside you and Impa on your side, you feel terribly, painfully alone
-you make your way to the village, and even though they have every reason to be suspicious of a strange hooded girl and her even stranger companion, especially with their home and families ravaged by the rifts, you're met with kindness and open arms
-Many of them tell you of a boy named Link, who's kind and helpful and so painfully shy that he barely says a word, and how some time ago he ran off on a journey with nothing but an old sword on his back and a strange feeling that someone needed his help
-As you hear their stories, it slowly dawns on you that the boy they're talking about is your hero, and the guilt settles heavy in your gut
-Well. At least you know his name now
-You continue on towards the very temple where this all started, pushed forward both by Tri's urging and your own determination to get to the bottom of all this, and eventually you find yourself in a nightmarish realm of stolen land and lost souls
-You reach the temple and brave its many tricks and traps, until halfway through you're met with the cruelest of jokes; Link, your lost Hero, looking at you with cold, hate-filled eyes the color of blood
-You have no choice but to fight him, and as you do it soon becomes clear that this is yet another imposter
-Eventually you defeat it, and its sword, Link's Sword, is left behind
-As you pick it up, you feel Something shift, as if your spirit has touched that of another, and you look down at yourself and find that you're glowing blue and wearing an unfamiliar-yet-familiar tunic
-your hero is with you, now, or at least a piece of him, and it finally feels like maybe you really can solve this crisis

Does anyone remember Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks? You know. The one with the train.
Tumblr media
Point is. This was my first Zelda and I have so many good memories of it. But I know people hated it so I went back in, just to see how much I liked it.
And oh boy. Oh fucking boy.
Is the train riding a little obnoxious? Sure. Especially in the endgame. We all know that.
But the story is so good? The characters are either wonderful or wonderfully stupid? Zelda is such a cool companion character and I still love her as much as I used to. The mechanics are fun, the fucking Dungeons are amazing (and theres so so soooo many!!) and my heart is just so happy.
Everyone mocked me as a child but I love this game. I played for five straight hours yesterday and everything was just so fun. So incredibly, wonderfully fun.
Look, you dont have to care about it. Its a silly spin off. But the writing is genuinely funny, the graphics are absolutely "You get used to it", the fact that you basically control the entire game with your stylus is something that I dont remember ever having to do in a game, the Puzzles are fun, the pacing is (at least for the first five to six hours, meaning that I managed to unlock three of the slates, went through two dungeons and finished three tower dungeons) pretty damn good, the quests I know to be stupid and time consuming but I was also like a child. Anything Ive struggled with or remembered to be hard isnt actually that bad. The map marking mechanic is such a cute idea and I love it. Stamps. The enemies. The characters. The Dungeons!!! Oh my god, the dungeon bosses. They arent hard or mind boggling or all that jazz, but they're fun! And still a little challenging, despite having played the game twice as a child and now having leveled up a few levels in videogame skill. The camera is never annoying. The SOUNDTRACK. The riddles I found overwhelming as a kid are actually pretty easy to solve from context clues. The world has so much intrigue and I know it all gets answered. I never managed to beat the final boss, but I cant fucking wait. I know you can grind your train pieces into oblivion, but I dont think I will (unless I notice that Im majorly struggling). THE SOUNDTRACK.
I wish there was any way to emulate it so I could Show it to other people. Im playing it on a crappy DS Lite that doesnt close properly anymore. Its just...
This is a Nostalgia win, my dudes. An absolute nostalgia win. My heart is singing. I am so Happy. If you own this game or stumble over it, please give it a try. Its so damn charming. Stupid, maybe. But charming. Might write a proper Essay on it because my heart. My poor child heart. Its overflowing.

(imo) valid complaints about spirit tracks
• questionable fast travel system
• sometimes train travel is boring and slow
• alchemy stones and regal rings are worth an equal amount in rupees yet there are only 3 guaranteed stones in the game, yet you can infinitely grind regal rings at Lost at Sea Station. If you sell more than 1 of your guaranteed alchemy stones than you have to trade for more or use the prize postcards to win another one in order to get all the gold train parts. (Might be able to get some from the Pirate Hideout and the Training game but it is random chance)
• every file has slightly different chances of dropping each treasure encouraging you to trade with other players. Nintendo makes the bold assumption that people who play spirit tracks actually have friends, let alone friends who also play it
• they put the most fun multiplayer mode in the game nobody plays. what the hell Nintendo
• spirit flute
• Gives heart containers out like candy but is stingy about alchemy stones which is really funny. the reward system in this game is kinda fucked up and it's hilarious. why does level 3 of Take 'Em On give me something worth 500 rupees but the first level gives me a heart container lmao???
• you can only see the picture of Tetra once in the game which is cringe!!!
• you have to WHIP ZELDA to make her move faster. that's fucked up...........
INvalid complaints about spirit tracks that SUCK!!
• touch screen controls bad (skill issue)
• trains shouldn't be in Zelda (wrong)

Again, a game lost to another for one single vote! 30 people voted for A link between worlds and 29 people voted for the minish cap!
We can say Minish Cap wins the "best 2d Zelda game" award!
I love both these 2 games. I have to say I didn't vote for neither of them! Actually, albw is in my top 3! In albw, I love the 2 words, and the main mechanic is cool and interesting, I'd say innovative! I also really like Ravio, how he saved Link at the beginning (and I believe Ravio saves him every time too, Sheerow takes his tools and Ravio brings him back to the dungeon entrance or to his house, and heals him enough to continue!). I like to think Ravio has another bracelet and he and Link can meet again through the sacred realm or a single passage they left open (maybe behind Link's home?).
Anyway I really loved it and wish it ranked higher, but I gotta remove it from this round! Congrats to minish cap for winning over albw for one vote! Funny how alttp and albw are next to each other.
Back to the poll, remember to vote the game you think is the worst out of these in the list! Please don't vote a game if you don't know it! Knowing means having played the game (even not completed), watched a gameplay, read the wiki! Having read the manga is ok too, I can't think of any other things rn but I hope you got what I mean :D
Reblogs are appreciated, since for obvious reasons I won't tag this as Linked Universe, but the majority of my interactions come from that fandom!

Fine intrusive thoughts you win. I'll do an "Evil Artemis/Athena" storyline. But with my own twist.
Its more fucked up than anything if we include the Spirit tracks Wars headcannon. because Artemis wouldn't recognize Wars at all, with a potential falling out on their friendship or Artemis pushing him away to keep him safe because she's the reason he went on that adventure and it was her mistake. So when Hylia's hero is discovered she's sighs in relief/a tiny bit of disappointment that it was her Link. (Even though it is) And the only reason she didn't hand over Wars is because Link would have fought to keep him safe, he would have thrown himself in danger for a stranger, so she does just that, but she doesnt trust him. So during the War of Era's as Sheik, she hears a song that only she, Her Link would know. She follows the noise praying that her Link wasn't a soldier, but her heart sinks:
Because the one who was humming the song was no other than Hylia's hero, singing the two out of time Hero's to sleep. And that just shatters her. Her best friend, the whole reason why she was fighting was on the front lines himself, holding the Master Sword that was suppose to remain in the Great Sea because her Grandfather had killed Ganondorf with it, was her best friend she pushed out of her life to keep him safe. She made the hero kill some traitors himself because she distrusted him, and knew that he could turn at any point like every other soldier. It's her fault again, she dragged Link into her mess again, Link is sacrificing his happiness by basically being the hero, because the Lokomo spirits entrusted New Hyrule into their hands so he's sacrificing any way back to his normal life as a Royal Engineer, and Zelda cracks bit by bit with every battle. And it just so happens that there is some little tiny bit of Madallus's magic in her that starts to flow through her.
Now how does this tie into "Evil Artemis", instead of a corrupt Artemis, you may ask, now let's introduce LU events. So because of time anomaly with the portals, Wars ends up getting separated by the chain, because the Chain is in another Hyrule, while Wars is in his own. Now for Artemis, she had just called Wars in for a discussion, but for Wars it's been months for him traveling around time with other Links. So when Wars goes to meet up with Artemis, they talk for a moment and it goes like this:
"The War wasn't the first time we fought a Demon King." Queen Zelda says softly, she doesn't look at him, only her back facing him.
"You finally remember me? He asks, it was almost like a childish response, how did she not see the signs. "I...I was afraid that I did something wrong, that you pushed me away back then. Zel, I...I was afraid that you forgot about me."
She's about the tear up, her best friend really thought that? She just wanted to keep him safe. Just like what's she's going to do now. She hugs him tightly.
"Link, you did nothing wrong, it was me." She says, "I'm sorry for dragging you into this mess."
"It's fine Zel! Really it is, the Lokomo Spirits entrusted New Hyrule to us, we're both supposed to protect it." He says, trying to comfort her.
"Link." She starts, looking up at his eyes, " I'm sorry for what I'm about to do."
"What-" He never got to finish his sentence, as Lana was the one to knock him out.
"Do you really want this Queen Zelda?" Lana asked.
"I do, and I want nothing more but him out of the way of harm." She growled. "Even if it means erasing everything from the War of Eras and anything time magic related.
________
Now that might not be really Evil Artemis, more like morally gray at first. But hear me out! With Wars out of the way, basically returning to train life, and with Artemis keeping him close, aka having hours dedicated to hanging out with him. But she is slowly slipping because she loves him. She realized she loved him more than a friend. And she can't be with him, because she's not the same Zelda he would have love, she can't be with him because she could weaken the seal on his memories, so she only dedicated an hour to him because of a certain Dragon knight had weaken the seal on Link's memory, (Oh no my brain tricked me and you it was actually Wars x Volga in the background happening under our noses. I do have other evil Spirit Tracks Artemis ideas that aren't the uh Wars x Volga) because of a rematch for the war taht had turned to something else. So it's fine, Lana is watching over Volga to make sure he doesn't weaken it even more, because Link only remembers Volga out of the entire events of the War of Eras. It's fine as long as the dragon doesn't want to disappear and never see Link again.
Until the chain appears.
Now for this AU, Wind already went through thr War, he just doesn't remember it, unlike Tike because when Mask vanished first, so they (As in Artemis and the timr guardians) established the spell to make everyone forget when they leave, which is eventually the same spell used on Wars. Time, being aware of the rules of this Hyrule immediately goes to Artemis to help them find Wars. Which before Time could ask, Conductor Wars enters smiling at Artemis:
"ZEL!"
Time's eye widen. He knows that voice, he slowly watches as Wars, his big brother, almost walk up to the Queen like nothing, like she was a equal. This never happened in the War.
"Oh, you have visitors?" Wars asked, "I thought you were done with visitors already?"
Visitors? Why are you treating us as strangers? Were those months nothing to you? Legend was burning holes into War's back, thinking the same thing.
Artemis smiled fondly at Wars, "These gentlemen were a special case, Link theses are Heros across time. Heros, this is Link, the Hero of Spirits."
____________________
Now is that rude of Artemis to basically gas lighting Wars into not remembering, and treating the chain as strangers, hell yeah it is. Now there some confusion in the Chain with Wars about the other Hero title, but its very much established, that Wars does not remember them. But here's the thing, which potentially would cause Time or Wild to go talk to Artemis in private. Now for Wild's stand point that doesn't make sense, but Wild connects the dots with how Wars looked at them with how he firs woke up from the shrine and how Flora would talk about how lighter his eyes are, which Wild was confused then until now, how he looks Wars in the eyes, on how much more lighter they are without whatever was weighing him down in his life during his adventure that earned him the title of "Hero of Warriors". Cant really come up with a confrontation with Wild and Artemis, except that Wild was very angry with her reasoning and was going to try his hardest for Wars to remember them and Wind and Time during the War, but I can come up with a confrontation with Time and Artemis.
You see, Time's confrontation with Artemis is basically where the "Madallus fragments"come into play, as this is also betrayal for Time/Mask because this was a trusted adult you put your faith in and they shatter it into pieces. You see when Time talks with Artemis, Artemis gas lights the fuck out of Time:
"Is this why Tune doesn't remember? You can't change memories by force!" Time yelled.
"But he's happier isn't he?" Queen Zelda asks. "Link is happier without the memories of the War."
Time's eyes widen, this...This wasn't the Zelda he fought along side with.
"He's happier not remembering you." She says, "You care about him, so let him live in ignorance of the War okay?"
She placed her hand on his shoulder. " Don't let Link remember, and make sure the others have the same message, okay?"
When Time looked into her eyes, her eyes were yellow, her sclera was red, before she blinked and they were normal, as she walked away. That wasn't Queen Zelda anymore.
Only a puppet of something else entirely.
_______________
So uh yeah, is basic move to bring back Madallus, but hey, if Ganon can come back this demon Lord can come back too, especially because magic should definitely leave a fucking mark. And it just so happened to be parts of Madallus's soul because he was wearing his skin suit- I mean body around for like majority of Spirit Tracks until the final battle where she got it back. So yeah, Artemis is doing it for Wars sake, but for Madallus, as long as the person who would know what to look for his possession is memory wiped and is about to get dragged off by soem other Heros, under Zelda's orders to remain loyal to the crown due to a war started over her best friend. Which sadly leads to when the chain comes back to War's Hyrule, Madallus is already in place and with the tri-force of Wisdom in his hand along with a body that has the blood of the goddess flowing through it's veins.

Legend of Zelda Theme Park - Castle Town (UPDATED)
Tumblr media
As guests move along the walkway at the back of the Welcome Plaza, the noncommittal park ambience is gradually overtaken by facades of old-fashioned half-timber houses, and then masonry castle walls. Finally they arrive at a grand archway with ornate double gates flung open to welcome visitors. Atop the archway sits a picturesque train station, and beyond it is a bustling medieval(-ish) market square of cobblestones, storefronts, gaming booths, and more. In the center is a large marble fountain bearing a sculpture of the Triforce, and on the far side of the square, opposite the entry point, is Hyrule Castle at the end of an avenue lined with trees and statuary. To the right of the castle from the point of view as you enter the area, a cathedral-like structure can be seen rising behind the rooftops. The area music loop consists of a collection of “main town,” shop, and minigame themes from across the franchise.
Castle Town, besides having plenty to do in its own right, serves as the “hub” area of the theme park, with walkways leading directly to three of the other areas (besides the Welcome Plaza) and indirect paths to the others via a ride.
Tumblr media
Attractions
Spirit Train Grand Central Station: The Spirit Train is a handy and scenic way to get around the theme park, encircling the central portions on an elevated track, with several stops along the route. Some of the sights in Hyrule can only be seen from aboard the train!
Carnival Games: Most of the central portion of Market Square is occupied by game booths, evoking the numerous “mini-games” found in most LoZ titles. The games themselves are of fairly standard types, but the paraphernalia are all themed like items from the franchise—as just one example, instead of throwing a mere baseball at a target, you throw a “Cucco” (even if it is just a baseball with a chicken face and wings printed on it). Rather than paying cash to play, guests pay “rupees” from a debit card they can get from a vending machine, and the more you put on the card, the more bang for your buck you get—say, five dollars gets you 100 rupees, but twenty gets you 500, and higher amounts net further price breaks. The games themselves cost anywhere from 25 to 100 rupees per play. Prizes are the usual small plush toys and cheap trinkets you would expect, but you can bank wins on your “rupee wallet” card and redeem them for better things if you so choose.
Link and Zelda Meet-and-Greet: What theme park would be complete without an opportunity to meet the star characters? The Hero Link and Princess Zelda can be found in dedicated meet-and-greet spaces on the ground floor of Hyrule Castle. Both characters have undergone many design changes over the course of the series, but by default they appear in something close to their classic, iconic looks. Link gets his green tunic and stocking cap, white leggings, and brown leather arm guards, with a bright but not glaring color palette and more fine detailing than most video game hardware can consistently render. Zelda’s look varies a lot more from game to game, but common features include a white underdress and pink or mauve pinafore-like outer layer with gold embroidery, as well as long blond hair and a distinctive tiara. The objective is to present the theme park itself as an installment in the franchise, with its own story (that you, the guest, create as you go) and details, and its own incarnations of the Hero and the Princess.
Hyrule Castle Gardens: Across from the meet-and-greet spaces, archways lead out into a peaceful courtyard space of flower beds, benches, fountains, and topiary sculptures of familiar creatures from the games, backed by a soft music loop of leitmotives for the game series’ many princesses, love interests, and other gentle, feminine characters. This attraction serves the vital function of relaxation, giving guests an opportunity to take a load off for a while in a tranquil setting.
Temple of Time Theatre: In the back corner of Castle Town, alongside one of the walkways leading to Death Mountain, is a sizable performance venue. The daytime program consists of 30- to 45-minute plays summarizng the plots of actual games, both for entertainment and so non-fans can get some idea of what the big deal is. “Here at the Temple of Time, we can see all across the history of Hyrule and beyond and tell you the legends as they actually happened!” While waiting for the show to begin, guests can enjoy a musical playlist alternating the Temple of Time theme with the score from various “telling a story/recapping a legend” cutscenes. In the evenings, some of the seating area is converted into a dance floor and the plays are traded for mini-concerts by local folk rock bands (and of course, each set includes a cover of at least one iconic LoZ score piece).
Shops
6. Pictobox Shop: If you got your picture taken by a park employee near the main entrance, you can swing by here later in the day to buy prints, perhaps in a nice souvenir frame, or installed in a commemorative keychain.
7. Curiosity Shop: The one in Clock Town may be an outlet for goods of shady provenance, but here, it sells a variety of interesting knickknacks and curios, all guaranteed to be above board.
8. Coro’s Lantern and Oil Shop: This cozy shop offers a selection of wax and LED candles, oil lamps and fuel, scented oil diffusers, and even a unique line of Legend of Zelda-inspired scented soy wax jar candles.
9. Enchanted Kingdom Treasures: Another knickknack shop, this one more targeted to fantasy fans. Some of the items here, from dragon figurines to sword-shaped letter openers, are LoZ-branded, while others are more generic.
10. S*T*A*R*S: Inspired by a minigame in Twilight Princess, this dimly lit tent sells a number of light-up souvenirs, laser-cut crystal sculptures with LED-illuminated stands, and similar tchotchkes.
11. Madame Couture’s: Hytopia’s #1 couturier has her own shop branch here, where guests can buy anything from a simple souvenir tee-shirt to a luxurious fantasy gown, and much, much more!
12. Happy Mask Shop: Named for the innocuous shop in Ocarina of Time that became the founding premise for an entire sequel game, this shop sells licensed masks, hats, and other costume pieces to enhance each guest’s heroic adventure.
13. Badge Market: A shop to buy and trade collectible enamel pins, based on the one of the same name in in Hyrule Warriors. Rather than the endless rows of character images one might expect, pin designs in this theme park focus on iconic emblems from the game franchise, such as the royal crest, symbols of the different peoples of Hyrule, medallions and shields, etc.
Eateries
14. Food Stalls: Interspersed among the game booths in the central portion of the square are booths selling the kind of quick bites you can find at carnivals and farmer’s markets.
15. Potion Hut: A juice and smoothie bar/service counter. Choose from among a wide array of bottled beverages—from common soda brands, water, juice, tea, etc. to unique blends labeled as “health potions,” “energy elixirs,” and other in-universe concepts—or have your own favorite mix made to order!
16. Stock Pot Inn: A buffet restaurant with a menu of hearty soups and stews and flavorful salads.
17. Royal Banquet Hall: An elegant table-service restaurant located on the upper level of Hyrule Castle. It’s pricey and requires a reservation, but it’s worth it for the Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom-inspired menu served in a regally appointed dining room with spectacular window and balcony views of the park. The interior décor features tapestries, paintings, and stained-glass windows depicting iconic LoZ scenes rendered in genuine medieval and Renaissance art styles.
Miscellaneous
After dusk, the Triforce fountain in the center of the area puts on a little light show every 15 minutes.
Paths to the other themed areas in the park can be found in the side alleys encircling Market Square, but that’s not the only reason to explore them! They contain many secrets, some of which are related to the phone app-based minigames.

The end of the Battle of the Triforce, when all hope seems lost...
(Art from the actual narrative punch at the end of the point when you play as Ganondorf and both Link and Zelda must be defeated to win the level... That had to be a solemn night when the Hylians regrouped and hoped something could keep them alive... or bring them back.)
Character designs for Fierce Deity and Spirit tracks Link from my Link's Meet idea, That Broken Promise.

What if the zeldas from the links like sun and sky being yandere for reader too.
Would they Ally with their links are not are would they break those ally with their links if we're to have reader in their hyrule.
Tumblr media
Zelda from koridia game is a savage
So I watched all of the t.v show episodes and I can finally start adding some of my opinions on this, starting with Courage and (I don't think she has a nickname yet I think I’ll just call her Wisdom because it matches her Link’s name but correct me if there's a better one).
. . .
To begin, both of these two can Fight! Wisdom often goes along with Courage to the underground realm where Ganon’s lair is and will help him save the day. While she doesn't like to get her hands dirty if she doesn't have to, she refuses to sit around and do nothing when there's work to be done. She still keeps a strict line between her princess duties and that of a knight. She isn't as competent of a fighter as Courage is so she leaves the heavy hitting to him. She stands back and helps out and manages to keep herself out of trouble just enough that her friend doesn't have to worry about her too much. She doesn't want to be overwhelmed or kidnapped after all.
During her time Hyrule is not as powerful or as present as it once was, and only two pieces of the triforce have been found (in the show they just dismiss the triforce of courage and never mention it so i'm going to assume it’s lost, same with the master sword because they never call Courage’s sword by name and it doesn't seal Ganondorf it just takes him away for awhile.) As such it’s hard for Ganondorf to win; but they also can't seal him away just yet. This means Hyrule for her is a peaceful zone until it isn't for a few days and then it all goes back to normal. Action isn't uncommon but most people live peaceful lives thanks to the efforts and worries from the princess and the triforce’s Guardian.
When you roll into town it isn't under attack but there's still evidence of the terror that rampaged through just a few days prior. It’s clear something bad happened but not bad enough to put a damper on the good peoples spirits. You just finished up booking a room in the inn for the night and you're walking around town trying to figure out what to do when Courage spots you from afar. He stops his morning walk in its tracks just to get a good look at you. A new stranger in town is always newsworthy and he just has to know what you're up to, it might be no good and he reasons that such a pretty thing like you shouldnt be left around with no one by your side. He walks over to you and the conversation is friendly enough, but then he finds out you're an adventurer.
This strikes him as funny because Courage used to be an adventurer like you before he got stuck with a job in the castle. It’s been so long since he's been on the open road and he really misses it. He invites you over top of the castle for some tea and before you can reply he points out that it’s just ahead anyways. You have no choice but to accept as he takes your hand and practically drags you along for the ride. Following him down the brick path through the wide open gates into a stunning and painstakingly kept courtyard the stone brick of the castles waits and beckons you to explore.
He walks down the hallways very casually and asks you lots of questions about where you're from, what you're doing here, how the roads were like, and what your favourite food is. The conversation goes from regular chatting to flirting very quickly. He can't help it seeing such a sweet thing like you all by yourself means you must have plenty of stories to tell and he just can't wait to hear them all.
Wisdom bumps into you two not far from the entrance. She was just about to follow Courage to make sure he wasn't going to shirk his duties as a knight. They didn't have many knights around so it was all hands on deck for this one; and then she sees you. A beauty walking into her castle and where were her manners. She looks more smitten than the hero was and quickly resumes the neutral mask as her role as a princess and takes over interrogating. Where are you from, is this your first time in their kingdom, oh it is? Well you just have to stay for dinner and tea! She’d be more than happy to show you around if you’d be so gracious.
Courage follows behind the two of you as Wisdom takes over the talking. He has to admit that she has a way with words. Watching you two he can see Wisdom slowly sink her fangs into you. One hand is placed gently on your back and he can see an unusual tension in her body. It isn't hard for him to realise that he may have fallen for you but she fell harder. The three of you walk to a side room with a table and you all gather around and swap stories. Courage tells you about his adventures, Wisdom talks about the kingdom and what’s going on with Ganondorf, and you fill them in with how you came to wind up here.
All in all Wisdom offers you a place to stay at the castle as it would be a better spot than any for resting after such a long journey. It is hard to turn her down with how sweet she’s being and she's absolutely right about it being much better than the inn you were going to stay at. Courage goes to collect your bags from your old spot and offers you a room by his. Just in case anything happens, that way you'll be safe. Wisdom tells you not to worry as Ganondorf never attacks so soon but agrees that you should stay close to him. You thank her again and she spends some time talking to you before showing you to your room.
Oh true, it is not befitting of her to marry someone of a lower station but she can't help but be mesmerised by you. Somewhere between the tough and gritty shell of an adventure she can see the soft soul of someone like her. A mixture between gentle and heroic; kind and able to get the job done. It just draws her in like a moth to flame but some part of her knows it is in her duties to one day marry for the good of the kingdom. If it’s in her luck they will be much like you.
Not that taking a consort was so out of the question but it's at a time and place in history while Hyrule is starting to rebuild again and she has to plan for the future. When Courage gets back she talks to him about her feelings. She can see how hurt he is at first when she begins talking; but he doesn't say anything as the two have been friends for ages at this point. Even if he does flirt with her and they do fight from time to time nothing can separate them and they know that. The kingdom rests on their shoulders and more than that protecting and retaining the triforce is key for the future of all of Hyrule.
It isn't until she talks about her final thoughts and feelings; about how she wants you here but can't take you for himself that he realises what she’s after. He jumps in joy when he realises he gets to keep the cake and eat it too. He asks offhandedly if having you here means that he can't ask her for kisses anymore and she laughs before lightly punching his shoulder. Joking about how uncivil he can be before relaxing and asking that he keep you here in the castle, that is both a request from a friend and an order.
Courage looks a little taken back and Wisdom lightly lets him know that she wants to see the two of you happy together and doesn't want to take any chances. The endorsement of your relationship seems to be more of a way to have her cake and eat it too and Courage doesn't believe she is as serious as she seems at first. He gets to have you but by him having you she gets you as well? The concept goes over his head and Wisdom has to gently reexplain the concept several times before he comes to understand what's going on.
The aftermath is both of them taking things lightly while whisking you away. You can defend yourself and they often take you on their journeys together. This is an open relationship where you and Courage are officially dating while Zelda gets to keep you in her life and enjoy sweeter moments and company from you. Courage doesn't mind at all and finds himself happy to share, you're his in the end anyways. You and the princess are seen as especially close friends. Of course your willingness to defend the princess in battle is commendable and from the outside all seems calm and normal. You're just another helping hand and dating the hero. Nothing strange is seen.
. . .
I wrote more for those two than I meant to, anyways here's a flash round of how I think the others would go!
. . .
Dot would love for you to join the knights of Hyrule. This keeps you and Four by her side, while allowing the two of them more time with you. You get personal training from Four and to all outsiders you're just another personal guard who spends all their time guarding the princess, as a good knight should. Why all that time seems to be in her chambers and acting more like a pet than actual knight is rumoured but no one can confirm what’s going on as you are rarely seen. When not with Dot Four has you by his side in a chain that matches your armour. All that training doesn't seem to save you from anything as you're in more of a political bind than physical. It keeps you still more than any physical chain can after all. I’m not sure if Dot and Four would also have feelings for each other, rather I see them as close friends with a shared love interest and they never even have to go through that awkward phase of ‘we both like the same person dont we’. They both just nod at each other and understand that it’s not an issue for them.
. . .
Sky and Sun have a house for you! And if it’s not a house out in the woods it's a special room made in the castle that was renovated with a door that locks from the outside. With all the chaos going on on the surface many people soon forget about the strange room that the queen asks for, and it's only there for when you forget your role by their side. Sky, you, and Sun are a power throuple and everyone in the kingdom knows it. You help Sun rule the kingdom by making sure she takes care of herself and her and you often spar together while Sky watches. You don't join the knights because that would mean going out and doing dirty work, rather your job at the castle is more of a personal friend borderline assistant. It crosses the fine line between royal lover and pet but between the two of them always cooing over you and each other you're being so smothered in love it's hard to tell where one line ends and the other begins. Everyone knows all three of you are in a relationship and everyone is cool with it.
. . .
God Artemis and Warriors… Ok so for this one I think they would have a huge rivals aspect to it. Not in a ‘i hate you way’ rather a ‘I can make them swoon way harder than you can’. Both find it funny and it's all in good faith. You for your part are so confused about how you got these two wonderful people suddenly fighting very hard for affection but it soon gets to be very overwhelming. Openly no one can see what's going on, just more banter between the princess and the hero. I don't see them sharing you together rather one will take you for a while before the other will spirit you away. I can see you being a soldier or messenger during wartime; your position is high enough to draw attention but not so much so you're in the active line of duty. Safe enough to not worry them too much while close enough to the fight to make your presence known. This is what sparks envy in them as you aren't close to either of them but they're both keeping tabs on you. You see none of the behind the scenes but Warrior is asking everyone you've ever worked with what they know about you, what your secrets are, where you live, and he passes it all under the rug as official business and your comrades are all too happy to give you up if it's the captain asking.
Meanwhile Artemis just pulled up your records and got all the information from that. Warrior shows up in her office to brag and she's just sipping tea while calmly explaining she already knows all of that and didn't have to work for three extra weeks to find it out. Trouble ensues.
Warrior gets you when he's not on active duty, and after the war he gets to have you when he returns from his missions. Aremis dresses you up in the finest of clothes she can find and leaves you for him as a present; he deserves to come home to his precious darling after all he's been through. He returns the favour by presenting you in much the same way before he leaves to go take care of business; he also handles any of the dirty work such as removing rivals and taking care of punishments that she can't handle herself. The two share you separately and take on the responsibilities of keeping you quiet together.
. . .
Flora Can see you and how close you are with Wild. She swatches from afar as you two grow closer and she feels a little strange watching how closely you two are. Of course she agrees that you are the most precious gem in all of Hyrule and is so thankful for you; both for your huge heart in helping to restore Hyrule to what it once was and also for helping Wild. She knows she can not be there to comfort him like she wishes to be so having you there to be a shoulder to cry on is so sweet to watch. She just wishes to be there too. Her time alone leaves her with a lot of time to simmer over her feelings and she often finds herself wondering if she can make the three of you work out. She wants you by her side and wants him too, god shes so head over heels and knows that he must feel the same way. If only she was there now, please don't make her wait…
When she is rescued she reunites with Wild, and the two of them talk and are so happy. She avoids the subject of you. Rather she already knows you were safely left at his house in Hateno and wants to say hello to Wild first before making the journey there. She has to test the water and say hello to her close friend first. By the time they make it to the village it's nighttime and you are sleeping peacefully. She goes upstairs to check on you and Wild follows behind. It's not hard to tell from the look on her face to know what she is thinking about. All it takes is one look at each other and the two of them know, in the way only two destined to fall in love can know, what the other is thinking.
For this one it’s a slowish burn between Wild and Flora while they also love you. Another polycue that will only have to face more troubles as a rejuvenated Ganon is on the horizon.
. . .
Fauna and Calamity i'm on the fence over. Some people write him as hating the nobility and his involvement in the war and having a sore spot over how he was treated, and while I have to agree I think he's also a forgive but never forget type of person. Like it still hurts but he wont let that change how he acts around others. This relationship is rough but I can see it having a happy ending. With Fauna and Calamity never ending up together I can still see them reaching a conclusion and sharing you. Especially since after all is said and done Calamity is still a knight beholding to Hyrule and the Princess. Him and Fauna can work together to keep you in the castle, but this is where they start to disagree.
Fauna wants to show you off. She wants to have everyone see you hanging off of her arm so they know you're taken. This sets Calamity off because he's the type to want to hide you away from others instead. This results in a fight between him and Fauna and it isn't until she points out that it's smarter this way; as now everyone knows you're taken and they won't be able to make a move on you because of her power. You Are Safer because you've been marked as off limits. Once he hears this and really processes it he relaxes and realises that she's right. She can do things he can't and after this the two have a heart to heart. What happened during the war was the hardest time of his life and he's always been training to be the perfect soldier and now that it's over he's finally healing. He has a life now and no matter what you’re the make upon it. She agrees wholeheartedly and swears she never wants to take you from him. She wants to see him happy and won't ever cross any line without good cause and reason. They both need and want you and even if they go about it in different ways they both agree that the other's way isn't bad; in fact it blends quite well.
When the loud drum of nobles and the castle becomes too much for you Calamity and Fauna will go on a trip to a quieter part of Hyrule and work out well for all three of you! They need to get out and make sure the rest of the country is recovering well and everyone is always glad to see the hero and princess again. It means a lot to the both of them to take you out and about every so often, even if you are now stuck inbetween the biggest power couple in Hyrule that isn't even a couple.
This matchup is funny to me because I can see Fauna and Calamity healing from everything and reforging their friendship afterwards and being really close physically; being touchy and feely but both agreeing there's nothing romantic about it. You can often find Calamity passed out in the lap of the princess and he stands guard over her so happily that everyone assumes it’s them dating, and in reality they are just extremely close and it's you dating them. They love to gush about you to each other and the kingdom just accepts the princess and her knight have a thing for you, and that she's dating you both but nothing has been made official yet. They saved the kingdom, let them do whatever they want.
...
To be honest I headcanon that polyam is accepted in loz because why wouldn't it be, and also its a bit of a matriarch because its the three golden goddesses and Hylia is the patron goddess to Hyrule, and even in Lorule i'm assuming they also have goddesses? To be honest It’s a very female ruled kingdom as well because it’s Zelda’s blood that holds the power to seal the darkness and also she rules the kingdom. So needless to say no one minds Zelda doing what she wants especially when it's an era with a hero, they saved everyone for god's sake let them have some peace.
. . .
Ok so for the others we have Dusk/Twilight, Wind/Tetra, Fable/Legend, Hyrule/Dawn/Aurora, Lullaby/Time, and Koridai/(I haven't thought of a good name for her yet…) and I will get those done on a later date because this is so long as it is. I know I went hard into the Wisdom and Courage part but in my defence I just finished watching the show and I thought it was goofy and fun!

Things to remember:
Would ST Zelda actually win? I'm not too familiar with Spirit Tracks, but I think she was possessing a suit of armor while following Link, so I'm going to say she picked up a few skills.
Don't vote for BotW Zelda because she is your favorite. I want serious answers on my silly polls.
Fighting dirty is allowed, but weapons are not. The Sheikah Slate is a weapon.

o/ Hi, I'm here to ask about pre-calamity Link holding resentment towards Zelda
(I really like your takes on their relationship between games, and I'm really curious about what you're cooking for this one!)
HI HELLO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING !! Get ready for my character study based off quite literally nothing but my beautiful mind <33
So, I'm replaying botw and I absolutely adore how the game characterizes all of its characters, but I have a particular love for botw link and how it characterizes him through absence and little hints of his childhood. What we know for a fact about him is that he showed skill at a very young age, four years old to be exact, when he was able to fight and win against a grown, trained knight. When he's around twelve years, he draws the master sword for the first time and is officially recognized as the hero of destiny by the entire kingdom. If you assume that Link was seventeen like Zelda when he became her appointed knight, that means that there was only five years inbetween him drawing the master sword, training, and then being responsible for- possibly- the most daunting task in all of hyrule: protecting the princess.
This was a task that he was expected to carry out at all hours of the day and, essentially, Zelda was his prime responsibility above all else. But, the fact still lies that Link was born into a family of knights, very possibly royal knights considering it would've been that much easier for Link's skill in childhood to be noticed. From the moment Link is born, his destiny has already been made for him, there is no conceivable way that he can avoid taking up the sword. Unlike most other preexisting Link's, he is born into a life where everything is already decided for him and he never has a moment where he chooses to take up the sword.
Ocarina of time? For a brief time, Link is a child and he has a home on kokori forest. Twilight princess? For his entire childhood and teenage life, Link was just a country boy who was good with kids and was dependable. Skyward sword? So much of the story is about how both Zelda and Link were kids before the story begun. Wind waker, spirit tracks, minish cap- so many of the Link's that have existed have lived completely normal lives and had a journey where they purposely took up the sword and chose to become heroes. Pre-calamity link though? He never had that. It's not even that hard of an assumption to come to that the moment it was discovered it could wield a sword so skillfully at a young age, he was thrown into training.
You don't just throw a twelve year old at the master sword unless you are absolutely positive without a shadow of a doubt that they are the fated hero. Being born into a knights family, I'm sure that this incarnation of Link has been training and has been told of his duty his entire life. In Zelda's entries, she even says that the reason Link is so quiet is because of the sheer amount of pressure and responsibility on his shoulders. To me, I interpret this as Link purposely not speaking up or having a voice of his own because he learned extremely early on that his body is not his own. Zelda resents Link, at least for a time, because she believes that the goddesses blessings practically hang off him. In her defense, they do, as the very symbol of the master sword on his back is enough proof that the goddesses had long since chosen him.
She resents him because he is the very symbol of her failures, all that she lacks in both skill and divinity, is embodied in him. She is born for a royal family with divinity in her blood, and yet she cannot hear the goddesses voice nor awaken her powers. Link is from a knights family, and he has succeeded in passing in every expectation that they've laid before his feet. The kingdom talks behind her back about her shortcomings, the kingdom preaches that the fated hero has been found. It is not hard to see just why Zelda resents Link so much in the beginning, because to her, he has everything she has ever wished for and more. At first, Zelda is preoccupied with her own troubles and it's only later that she is, as far as we know, the only one who has ever really asked him if he wishes things could be different. If he would've ever picked up the sword if he had the choice.
Which is such a heart-breaking question for many reasons, but one detail, for me, which makes it all the worse, is that I believe pre-calamity Link resents Zelda because she has at least achieved a taste of freedom. Personally, I like to believe that Link heard Hylia from a very young age and the act of becoming hero was taken from him to instead grow as a hero. Link never had a point in his life where he was allowed to breathe and choose what he wished, from everything from his own studies, his training, becoming knight, to becoming Zelda's personal knight. All of this was never in his control, but he exceeded in those expectations because the weight of just what the kingdom expected from him was that heavy. He never had a point where the weight was off of his shoulders, as it was that weight that straightened his spine and eventually made him silence himself. He learned at a very early age that his words, his choice, his very autonomy, was never important. Never was there a point that he was even allowed to focus on something that wasn't his expected destiny because he was the hero first and a child second.
Most assume the goddesses blessing to be a heady, beautiful gift, but I've always believed that Link secretly resented just how carefully the goddesses watched him. Where others preen for the goddesses blessings and gifts, he struggles to stand underneath the sheer weight of their gazes. He never had to earn the goddesses grace because it was forced upon him, and so, the very thing that Zelda resented him for was the very thing that he secretly despised.
In a way, I think Link began to resent Zelda in turn, but was just much better at hiding it, because he saw a girl who did not fully realize how much of a blessing it was to be free from the goddesses. Despite how much it was expected from her, she was still able to escape into the wild and chase after her true passions, which he dutifully followed her the entire time for. Personally, I think he came to resent her for this perceived freedom and escape, as well as how much she yearned for Hylia's blessing, despite it being nothing but a curse for him. More than anything though, I think he resents her, at least a little bit, for being able to speak up and fight back. It's something that he desperately wishes he could do himself, but he knows that he cannot and he's petrified about what would come out of him if he did open his mouth.
Link has had an entire lifetime of resentment, self-inflicted silence, expectations, surveillance, and a crippling sense of duty his entire life. All of these things are things Zelda shares as well, but in a way, I think he begins to resent her because she is a warped mirror of himself but with a handful more freedoms that he desperately yearns for. Yes, the weight of the kingdom is so very heavy for the both of them, but why would she destroy herself for the goddess? He wishes to tell her that it is not a weight that she should chase after, but instead cherish every moment that she is able to breathe without it. His destiny has long since been made, and he hates that she seems to desperate to destroy her own freedom with her own bare hands. It's a resentment born from envy, desperation, isolation, and a crippling sense of self-loathing from so desperately wishing that he had been given a moment to just be himself. His sense of identity is so loose because he has been told that he is a knight, a hero, the sword of hyrule, before he is Link, and for that... he hates and resents Zelda for wanting to throw away the one blessing that separates them. She has hope. He is damned, at least in his eyes.
This is all born from the thought that Link exists as an extension of Zelda where Zelda is actually able to exist on her own. Link seeing himself as a tool being passed from hand to hand and just wanting to be able to make a choice for himself. This is actually one of the big, BIG reasons I headcanon as to just why he's one of the most isolated, lone Links to exist because he craves the lack of eyes on him. He just wants to be a person man.
Not only that, but he purposely buries his own feelings because to acknowledge them is to acknowledge that something is wrong and that he's deeply unhappy of his fate. He resents Zelda, so he overcompensates by being over-protective and hovering over her so that he might beat back his resentment of her. If he buries his resentment and instead blames himself for even thinking those thoughts in the first place, then his own guilt will even further fuel his dutiful nature. It's a fucked up vicious cycle of his own guilt, resentment, and anger that he's drowning in the entire time !! And he'll never go out of his away to even mention it to Zelda because he doesn't want to burden her with his actual self !!!

gawd but that zelda poll has my videogamepinion hackles rising.
sheik is interesting but has nothing in the way of interiority just a lil environmental stuff around the shadow temple and impa, and the now generic "royal people are great by birth so when brought low by circumstance they become ninjas" thing, but at least we get some bishie yaoi gender stuff
she just isnt in lttp lmao that aint a real option you talk to her by crystal cellphone like twice
twilight princess despite the name of the game being about her she just aint in it, brooding and failed zelda is cool but midna sucks alllll the air out of that room i think zelda is in, again, two cutscenes
skyward sword is... boring as shit, she's just your nice childhood friend neighbour and all hope of personality is fridged by the narrative when it becomes clear she's a vessel for hylia. fi should have stolen the show midna style but they also forget to give her a personality this time oh well
botw/totk should, theoretically win, the character has time spent on it and interiority and she struggles with her identity (and so actually has one),, but by god that voice is grating as shit, it's all in flashbacks, and is just kinda,, drab and uninteresting. like in sword skord zelda having more than zero character only serves to demonstrate that link is made of cardboard
i opted for tetra but everyone knows what a cop out that is. she has her own life, people she cares about, (as does link in that game, importantly), and is expressive and interesting,,,, for half the game then she gets put on the shelf. i can only justify this option by including phantom hourglass and especially spirit tracks where you spend loads of time with zelda and she's pompous and ridiculous but lightens up after getting force-masc'd a few times to save link
i guess the lesson is zelda has always been trash. botw should be in a step in the right direction but it's also a step in the direction skyward sword took, with endlessly slow boring ass cutscenes and *shudder* voice acting.
to add something positive id say play okami instead, zelda is great in that and plays a flute that turns into a laser sword

Ranking Every Beedle In Terms Of Fuckability (because he’s the love of my life).
Wind Waker (2002)
Tumblr media
4/10 So, instinctively I want to give them all 10/10, but that’s my heart deciding for me. Anyway, I worry about this Beedle, he’s too skinny, look at his little ribs? But also I cannot ignore the tender gaze in his eyes, so?. Shy bottom Beedle for the win.
Minish Cap (2004)
Tumblr media
3/10 Oh my god, my poor little dude. He looks so tired and also like a weird four armed creature. Like I look at this and think about all those Gods with multiple arms and while? Yes?. I still just want to give him a gentle pat on the head.
Phantom Hourglass (2007). And Spirit Tracks (2009) because they look pretty much the same.
Tumblr media
6/10 Okay I can’t explain this one, like yeah there’s NIPPLES? for some reason, but it’s mostly how he’s looking at me like he could crush me with his bare hands. Also da freckles.
Skyward Sword (2011).
Tumblr media
8/10 LOOK AT HIM??. The power this man holds over me like? He frequently sent me plummeting from his shop like a little nuisance bug and yet I come crawling back every time. Nintendo how could you not give him THIGHS after biking all day?. Also the little scene where he just lets you sleep in his shop and looks after you has me feeling some sort of way.
Breath of the wild (2017) and Tears of the kingdom (2023).
Tumblr media
10/10. LISTEN. There’s so many amazing characters in these games but nothing had the obliterating affect on me the way this man did when I found him with those ARMS, in a BEETLE CROP TOP?!. Is it wrong to want him to carry me around all day like a human backpack? Because I do.
Okay, that’s all the Beedles. I can’t tell you what appeals to me about this little weird guy. Maybe because he’s a weird little guy. Either way I adore him and almost didn’t want to disrespect him by making this post. And yet I did, because i think he’d forgive me.
I enjoy these, I might do more, but about more than Fuckability because its (surprisingly) not something I really think about when thinking about game characters (shocking!).
If anyone has suggestions, even about stuff outside of Zelda, honestly throw them at me because this stuff makes me giggle.
Peace my dudes!.
