Summary: When Buffy suddenly falls ill, help comes from an unlikely source. But something’s wrong-- this isn’t the flu. She’s weak, she’s delirious, and worst of all, she spread her illness to the worst possible person... Spike.

Review: The Scoobies race against time while Buffy (and Spike) are battling a mysterious illness. Science, magic, and legends will inevitably come into play as various questions are answered, including the most prominent one: Will a cure be found?

(2024) Chaperones by Apache Firecat [PG] one shot

Summary: Spike never thought he’d see this moment.

Review: A little glimpse in the future of Buffy and Spike as an established couple with a loving family.

(2024) between you and me... by flootzavut [G] one shot

Summary: Lorne gets himself in Angel’s doghouse by telling Buffy that Spike is back. Written for the 2024 EF Betrayal event.

Review: The author does an excellent job with Lorne’s POV. His voice sounds so authentic and true to the beloved AtS character, it’s a delight to read.

(2024) Credit to the Past by Apache Firecat [R] one shot

Summary: Spike wakes to find Buffy watching him, and brooding.

Review: A touching moment turning into a difficult conversation, but one of those that sometimes are needed because they can have healing powers. They’ve both been toxic to each other, but as this fic shows, they've fought hard and long to rise above it, heal, and find in each other what they’d been really looking for but had failed to find due to a lot of reasons.

(2024) Everything Has Changed by acekoomboom [PG] 2 chapters

Summary: Spike and Buffy find each other again in the next life, and their first meeting sings the echoes of their history.

Review: I love the concept of Spike and Buffy finding each other in their next life and having the kind of feelings described in this drabble fic. My hopeless romantic side dreams that this is how soulmates work. Finding each other again and again, no matter how long it takes between one life and the next to cross paths.

Hey! I almost forgot about this guy! Meet Digger, a side character from Into The Deep. He's one of Vangelis's lackeys! I know he doesn't look very Lego-ish, but that's because I haven't designed his minifigure yet. But I will! Or at least I'll try.🤣

Here's some info on him below the cut! - ✒️🐉

1: He works for a Witch name Morgratha, as her unwitting henchman. (This is subject to change. As I'm still figuring things out.)

2: Personality wise, he's based on a cross between Fidgit from the Great Mouse Detective, and Petri from The Land Before Time. Although, he's pretty cowardly, compared to these two. Possibly more than Fidgit.

3: He's the same species as Ross! That lizard guy from Metalonia. Or at least a subspecies.

4: He can dig. Obviously.🤣 That's why he's so dusty. He gets scared easily, so he digs into the ground a lot to hide.

5: He's got purple scales and reddish brown spikes. I'll post a colored version when I finish it, so you guys can see.

I regained a very important memory, today.

In my canon, there was a point during a skirmish early in the Winter War when Kurosaki saved my life directly, by killing a Hollow mere instants before its fangs could reach me and release a fatal venom into my bloodstream - one that had downed over a thousand shinigami already at that point. Well, half of my soul was Hyourinmaru; and dragons regard Life Debts very, very seriously.

In the following battles, I tagged Kurosaki as often as I could, sticking close and providing copious aid and reinforcement against his personal opponents while still looking after my own Division's platoons. He and I became something of a team; battles shortened considerably once we figured out how best to use our respective abilities together. And, after Captain-Commander Yamamoto took note of our rising successes, it was rare that I wasn't stationed to be wherever Kurosaki was fighting. (I think that, having a dragon for half of his own soul, Yamamoto perfectly understood the reasoning behind my sudden shift in attention. There are very few things that can change a dragon's loyalty so abruptly, but Life Debts may be at the top of that short list.)

A number of months later, Kurosaki and I were surprised by a tag-team of Aizen's own creation, presumably to combat our own increase in victories. It was unexpected; while attempting to kill one adjuchas-class arrancar (with venom similar to the one that had nearly killed me only months before), I noticed a flicker of stray hostile reiatsu... Or, well, I assumed that it was stray, at first.

It wasn't. It was very, very targeted, straight at Kurosaki's back. I jumped into the path of a very large Hollow (from which I sensed not a single trace of reiatsu after the initial spike) and raised Hyourinmaru to catch the talons coming down, before teeth wrapped unexpectedly around my skull and there was pain.

... I think I know, now, why I have no memories past some time during the Winter War.

(I don't think I survived that attack.)
