Follow up for the Ferncloud and Shrewpaw Comic, I cleaned up the sketch concept I did of Spiderpaw and Shrewpaw just to get a sense of their character design. I can imagine Spiderpaw being the guy to call his parents "mom" and "pops" while Shrewpaw is more of a "ma" and "pa"

So, uh, Ferncloud's tree is one where I snipped off a branch of the tree for my own sanity

Originally going from Ferncloud, daughter of Brindleface, daughter of Robinwing, mother of Dustpelt, mate of... Ferncloud.... that's definitely a connection the writers didn't think through. Dustpelt is now unrelated to them all and Brindleface is unrelated to Robinwing so Birchfall doesn't mate with his second cousin

There's not much to say otherwise. Ashfur and Ferncloud have white because Whitestorm has to carry white on top of his fully-white coat (and justify their blue eyes). Foxleap and Spiderleap are brown tabbies, though Foxleap is more reddish and Spiderleg is a classic tabby to give him a dark body and brown belly

im sure you get this all the time but your zeus is so hot. like what. hes gorgeous. like the way you draw poseidon? hot. but he doesnt hold a CANDLE towards zeus.

hopefully, this makes sense. Robinwing is a tortie, meaning she's automatically carrying the red gene 'RBb'. Torties are no longer sex-linked so Dustpelt doesn't HAVE to be a tortie, but he could be. He still carries the red gene 'RBb', thus making Foxleap and Spiderleg red.

Could never make me like spiderleg. You can draw him abandoning his kids sadly all you want dude I will never like him. I don't care if his family died like that's not how half the characters in the books live. His character trait is I abandon my children. Cue daisy looking forlorn as spiderleg legs it out of there. Oh so sad he's upset his son he ignored died weeeh weeeh it SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU, BUG MAN. Look at daisy. Not him. Daisy. He can sit in the bad dad corner with onestar fuck that guy.
