Gwens on the verge of tears, it’s the first time you’ve ever seen her like this in all the time you’ve known her. You’ve known gwen for almost your entire life, and never once have you ever seen her in such a state of affairs.

You suppose it’s reasonable, she lost Peter and she thinks she lost her father forever, the only other people she ever had. And then there’s you. Somebody she felt such deep emotions for even if she was unaware how deep they ran.

There’s so many emotions and so many thoughts running through her head, when she sees you for the first time in what feels like years.

You don’t say anything.

You stare at her, the state she’s in.

Your movements are slow and meticulous, calculated. And she wonders if you’re doing that because you’re cautious, because you’re scared of her.

“I don’t know what dad told you.” fear drips from her vocal cords, “but I promise you,” she’s desperate, wanting your touch so badly but fearing you truly saw her as a monster too, “I would never, ever, kill Peter.”

the building you’re both on, feels so much darker than it really is. It feels like she’s revealing herself to her dad for the first time all over again. She wants to cave in on herself but she fights every need to push you away because she needs you in her life.

“And believe me, I wanted to tell you! I did! I really did!” she tries desperately to explain, finally letting a tear slip out.

As soon as she let one go, it became a waterfall of tears.

“I love you.” she says, voice barely above a whisper, taking you both by surprise.

She realizes what she said, but she doesn’t dwell on it for much longer. Because she realizes, finally, what she said was true.

And now that she finally knows what it is she’s truly been feeling for you all these years, it hurts even more to look at you and not know what you could possibly think about her. She wishes she knew what was going through your head, she wishes she could just tell what you were feeling by searching your face but she just can’t find anything. She doesn’t know what you make of this. She doesn’t know if she’s going to lose you today.

“Please.” she feels her lips wobble, she knows she’s going to completely break down if you don’t say something, anything, in the next minute.

All she’s met with is more silence.

Miles knew he had a crush on you, sure. That simply made sense, it was common knowledge to anyone that wasn’t an idiot. Well, except you. But miles didn’t think you were an idiot, just maybe oblivious. It’s not like he minded, he was grateful that he liked the one, singular person in this very world that was oblivious enough to not catch onto Miles’s adoration for you.

Miles talked about you a lot, admittedly. His parents were naturally happy he had found an actual friend that wasn’t away, that wasn’t ganke, and that clearly made him so happy. In fact, Rio mentions how she’s never seen her son so happy to talk about somebody. She had teased him a few times, and although miles tried to deny it, both her and Jeff knew he liked you a little bit more than a friend should. Though, a little bit is a stretch. He liked you a LOT more than a friend should.

And man, when you finally met them. Ohhh boy.

Miles had tried to prevent it for so long, in fear his parents would embarrass him, even worse if they didn’t like you. But he had been delaying the inevitable long enough, and the time had finally came.

In the past, Rio had teased him about being in love. Of course, miles denied the fact. He had a crush sure, but love? That’s a lot, isn’t it?

But seeing you interact with his parents, getting along with them so well. Even with his dad?

He just can’t stop staring, and while normally Rio would be concerned, she simply walks over to her son with a knowing smile.

“I think Im in love.”

“I know, mijo”

Hobie had a rough day, to say the least. Being spiderpunk, spiderman, was tough. And as much as he complained about it, he was perfectly content with the way he went on living. Especially since it had given him the power to protect you, and fight for his beliefs.

But regardless it was sometimes a painful experience, being spiderman. The gash on his side wasn’t too huge, but was deep enough to cause him pain anytime he walked. Swinging around wasn’t much better.

He decided to swing by your place, since it was closer to him and while he hated the idea of bothering you while he was in this state, hated the idea of worrying you, he knew it was the best option if he wanted to get back to fighting as quick and as painless as possible.

He lets himself in through the window, as always. He walks over to your hunched over form at your desk, peeking over. “Biochem?” he asked aloud, and you, unbothered, simply nod. “Yknow you should really start locking the window sweets.” he says with a grin, and while you’d normally be annoyed by his remarks, you notice a strain in his voice that makes you look up at him.

You’re quick to stand up, “hobie! Jesus what happened to you!?” you said, ushering him into your bathroom so that you can get your first aid kit.

He sits down on the toilet, before shrugging. “Stuff..”

you’ve fixed him up before, but this was a little different. There was a change in your demeanor. It wasn’t out of this world for you to worry for him, but this felt vastly different this time around.

You were so kind, so gentle with him.

In his mind, he’s undeserving.

The warmth of your hands on him, was the only thing he could think about. Not even the pain of literally being stabbed could compare to how electrifying your touch felt.

Perhaps it was the blue led lighting in your bathroom or the loss of blood but, you looked so beautiful right now.

“I think I love you.” he whispers quietly, staring into your eyes.

Staring back, you can’t help but think you love this idiot too.

Pavitr is an idiot when it comes to romance, whether he likes to act like he’s good at it or not. He is not as smooth as he pretends to be. He realizes this anytime he tries to shoot his shot at you. He fumbles with his words and has to come up with some excuse as to why he needs to leave in that exact moment, immediately. Even pretending to flirt with his best friend, gayatri, doesn’t work. He does it so well with her, but when it comes to you he just cannot articulate his words. He finds himself totally lost.

It doesn’t take an idiot to figure out his feelings for you are strong, and that his feelings go deeper beyond friendship. You seem to be the only moron in all of mumbattan that hasn’t noticed, and he’s not sure if he’s grateful or in great agony.

One of the biggest reasons he was so obvious about how he liked you, was shown through how clingy he was. Physical affection is his love language, after all. But it goes beyond that, he always finds himself wanting to spend time with you. He even insists on walking you home even when his house is in the opposite direction, his excuse being that he wants you to get home safely despite being in broad daylight. It’s still a dangerous world out there, is his reasoning.

But it’s been so long since he last walked you home. When you were kids, he did it all the time. As you grew older, the tradition seemed to stick but as he became spiderman this occurrence became less frequent. It’s been months since he’s been able to do this.

The sun is bright, but it hits your face perfectly. And he can’t help but think you look like some ethereal god. Given his line of work, he doesn’t think it would be that weird if you were one.

He feels like he can’t breathe, and he doesn’t even realize its cause he’s way too focused on you, every little feature. Your hair, eyes, your nose, cheeks, mouth. Anything he could possibly look at on your face, he’s looking. He’s not listening to a word you’re saying, he watches your lips move but he cannot catch a damn thing. The grip he has on his bookbag becomes tighter, his face feels hot and he wants to say it’s because of the sun but he knows that’s not true. God, has your laugh always been so pleasant to the human ears? Or was that just him?

His lips move, before he even has a chance to stop the words from coming out, like word vomit.

Tickletober Day 2: Drawn On

(Spiderverse: ler!Mary Jane x lee!SpiderGwen)

(Note: Is this ship semi-canon/hinted in the movie? I could have sworn Gwen had a moment of reminiscing over her own universe's Mary Jane... but then again that could also have been Peter? I dunno, it's unclear. /// No hate to any ships, by the way! I just liked the idea of this one so I'm writing a fanfic! :))

"Stay still!" Mary Jane giggled, doing her best to paint Gwen's nails. She'd chosen a hot pink color.

"Hehehee! I can't! It tickles-!"

Gwen sat on Mary Jane's bed, trying not to squirm too much. Yes, her fingers and fingernails were ticklish. And yes, They were sensitive to a small brush coating her nails with paint.

"Seriously girl, is it really this bad?" M. J. teased.

Pulling her hand back, Gwen giggled. M. J. rolled her eyes.

"Alright, but you'll only have three fingers painted!"

Taking a mini fan from off the table, Mary turned it on. The fan carefully blow-dried the paint on Gwen's nails. The pink paint carefully took the shape of the nail as it dried.

"So Gwen, what made you decide to come over? You're usually so shy around me."

She blushed and looked to the side.

"Well, I met a wonderful friend. And he gave me the confidence I needed!"

"He sounds really sweet," M. J. said with a smile. Gwen looked up at her with hopeful eyes. "Heh. Anyways, let's finish your makeover!"

Mary Jane reached for the foundation brush on the table. Gwen squeaked and squirmed away.

"Eep! That's gonna tickle too!"

Waving the brush at her in a teasing way, M. J. grinned wickedly.

"Hehe, good!"

And she pounced, fluttering it everywhere on Gwen's neck. She scrunched her neck up between her shoulders.

"EEEHEEHEHHEHEHEEHEHHEHEEEEEE!! PLEHEEHEEEHEHEHEEEEEASE!!"

Gwen swatted her hands away, face flushed.

M. J. grinned. "Where else are you ticklish...?"

Curling up, Gwen hoped to sheild as many spots as possible. But her feet were still sticking out. They were small but kinda cute.

Taking a paintbrush and dipping it in pink paint, Mary Jane held her ankle and painted a smiley face on her arch. Gwen let out a squeal and almost webbed her in the face. Oh no, that would have been bad! She did her best to control herself and keep her hands under her, deciding it better to succumb to the tickling than reveal her identity.

M. J. had grabbed the other ankle and painted something on her other arch, making her delve into high pitched guffaws, and pound the bed with her fists. Finally, M. J. let up. She smiled sweetly.

"Sorry if that was a little too much!"

Gwen got control of her laughter and pushed herself up.

"Oh, hehe! I-it's alright! You're fine!" She reassured her, still glowing.

Mary Jane put all of her makeup tools and paint away.

Meanwhile, Gwen looked down at the art on her feet. On her left foot was a smiley face with the words "cutie pie" written above and below it. She exhaled happily at that, and looked to the right. On it, was a heart with the words "U R precious" written above and below it. Gwen's heart melted.

Did this mean...? No, no, no. Mary Jane could have just meant that as a friendly gesture. It wasn't a sign that she liked her back, right...?

Getting up, Gwen looked over at M. J. still on her chair, now tending to her own nails.

"Uhh, Mary Jane?" Gwen said, and she looked up. "Do you want to hang out again sometime, maybe at the park?"

Grinning, Mary Jane's eyes sparkled. "Sure! It's a date!"

Okay, maybe it was true after all! A blushing Gwen thought.

Basically a love triangle between them, their spider alter ego and you … ?

Gwen has been longtime best friends with you and Peter for what feels like forever. Even after peters passing, you and Gwen remained close. Throughout the years, it was only natural for gwen to fall for you, her best friend. Peter had often encouraged her to try and go for it, but she never gave in to the temptation. Not when she has been lying to you for so long about who she really was. While her dad did often speak his mind on the mysterious spiderwoman and his doubts, you always seemed excited talking about her. It didn’t take long for her to find out you were not only a huge fan, but definitely had a bit of a crush.

This was amusing to her, obviously. But it also made her wonder if you felt nothing for the real her, and you just liked some alter ego of hers because she was cool and saved the day or whatever.

How you and spiderwoman met, was not under the best of circumstances. As you can imagine.

Growing up, you were always pretty tough. Fighting for and defending Peter against bullies, it was what drawn gwen to you right away. You always stood up for others, and perhaps in the real world it’d get you in more trouble, trying to help a defenses old man against some mugger, you nearly got real hurt in the process. Thankfully, your celebrity crush was there to web him up.

She remembers the look you gave her, you were so.. awestruck.

You never looked at her like that. Not the real her, anyway.

“Thank you spiderwoman!” you say with glee, a word she would almost never use to describe you.

She clears her throat, seeming off guard by the way you greeted her. Or perhaps she was caught off guard by how beautiful you looked in the moonlight. Is it hot outside or is it just her suit?

“Uh… uh…” she hesitates for a moment, before displaying faux confidence. She nods in understanding, “anytime, hopefully next time I’ll see you under better circumstances, cutie.” she says with a wink, before swinging away.

There’s practically hearts in your eyes, did spider woman… just flirt with you?!

Meanwhile, gwen is freaking the hell out over the fact she just said that. It’s certainly easier to flirt under the mask, she supposes.

You didn’t shut up about spiderwoman for the next week.

Miles was one of your best friends, had been for over a year now. Although this friendship, to many seemed newly found, to you both it felt like you knew eachother forever. You often ignored how Ganke never failed to mention that’s something people in love say about eachother.

Ganke was a close friend to the both of you. He was also very much aware of how miles was keeping this huge secret from you, and he often relayed to miles how he should just tell you already. Miles said no, everytime. So ganke had to resort to desperate measures, on one of your many hangouts with the two males.

“Hey, I’m curious.” Ganke starts, “what do you think of Spiderman?”

Miles nearly chokes, he looks wide eyed at ganke, as if ganke just killed a cat. Honestly, ganke is surprised miles hadn’t brought up Spiderman to you himself before, but honestly miles was terrified of what you actually thought, to the point he didn’t want it mentioned at all in front of you.

But your immediate grin makes miles almost audibly sigh.

“I think he’s awesome! Way cooler than the other one to be honest like wow have you seen that suit? Nice color.” Miles couldn’t help but notice the way your eyes lit up in excitement. How come he hasn’t heard you talk about spiderman before if you liked him so much?

“Hey, miles?”

“Huh?!” he yells, his voice becoming so high pitched it sounded like he was just hitting puberty, making you laugh.

“I- I mean.. yeah… what’s up?”

“Do you think he’s … cute?” you ask, rather curious what miles thinks of spiderman.

Ganke almost laughs at how wide miles eyes are, somehow even wider than before.

You would eventually have the chance to meet spiderman, which was not something miles would be happy about. A fight with a particularly … tough villain had caused much damage to the city. Miles swears, today he had to pull up at least 3 buses by his webs.

However, the bus you were in, as plain as day. He couldn’t see anyone but you, the other people in the bus being a blur to him.

He was scared, so so so scared. The moment you’re out and safe, he wants to hug you. He almost does, but he’s able to restrain himself once he feels gwen tug his arm, warning him of how weird that’d be.

He sighs, but he sees you smile at him, grateful. He’s blissfully unaware of how hot your cheeks are, seeing him in the flesh, in person.

You wonder if he’d be okay with signing an autograph.

Hobie was never the type for being subtle. He was blunt, but because of his casualness about it people do not take what he says seriously. He didn’t plan on making a strong effort to hide being spiderman from you. Because he trusts you, with his life in fact.

You two have fought together on many different occasions, way before he became spiderman. People didn’t like either of you, when you were young at least. Strong and unafraid, and like him, you often spoke your mind about things. Granted, you were a lot nicer about it but still. It’s something he definitely likes about you. To him, falling for you just felt natural. Like it was meant to happen. Like falling for you was second nature.

But over his time of becoming spiderman, he had … well… found out you had a major crush on his alter ego. You did not shut up about how “babygirl” he was. And while this was amusing at first, it annoyed him a little. Did that mean you weren’t interested in him, as hobie, romantically? And if you did find out who he really was, would you still like spiderman? Or would it ruin the imagination for you? And if you did, would it only be because he’s spiderman?

A lot of questions circle his mind, a lot of worry and it isn’t like him. He really hates it. Only you can manage to do that to him.

Eventually, the two of you do end up meeting.

You were known for being a fighter, laws or not, you didn’t care, maybe a bit headstrong in your beliefs. Maybe you got too caught up in things, as you often did. Difference was, hobie was not there to back you up. As he often was.

Not this time though, as apparently Hobie had some unfinished business to deal with. You had no idea what that meant, but you trusted hobie enough that he wouldn’t go off doing something stupid without you.

You were not hobie however, and did something stupid without him.

While yes, the guy had harassed you first and you had every right to be angry with him, you probably shouldn’t have provoked such a big and muscular looking guy. There’s no way you could take him in a fight, but you could always try.

Before you even had the gall to fight this guy, before he can even pull the first punch, webs are shot his way. You gasp in surprise, turning behind you to see the one and only.

His movements are quick, and honestly, spiderman struggles for a little.

If even he struggled during that fight, you didn’t stand a chance. But you’re too busy absolutely fangirl/boy/theythem’ing to even care.

Once everything was said and done, Spiderman turned around to take a look at you. He was relieved you weren’t banged up or anything, though you couldn’t tell. “You aight?” he asked, and typically he was so cool and collected, but around you he had no idea how he should be acting. Thoughts from before still clouding his mind:

He lets them go for a moment upon your excited squeal and has to hold himself back from laughing.

Pavitr mentioned spiderman quite a bit, and very early on when he first became the masked vigilante. He was quick to gauge your opinions, because in his mind you’re thoughts and feelings matter the most to him.

He would quickly learn you loved the guy, so he proudly continued doing the whole superhero thing. However, as time went by he had seen your admiration for Spiderman develop into a crush. Only upon your first meeting with him, though. He couldn’t blame you, he supposed that in your eyes this guy saved your life from imminent peril. In his eyes, he was just doing something that was common sense. Saving you while you were trapped in that bus was not something he needed to think twice about.

And he certainly didn’t think twice about hugging you, either. Despite you two not really being acquainted with one another. He was quick to come to his senses, about to pull away, but you held on. After the events of sitsv  Y/N  has never felt more alone. she realized once she got home how little she left her house. when once again a portal (in a different color this time) opens while she is on patrol she happily runs through it expecting the friendly face of her dear friend miles (along with some pig dude) when she met with the many confused faces in the room she realizes this is going to be very different than what she was expecting... and shes here for it.

∘₊✧───────────────────────────────✧₊∘ A/N this is my third fic ever, since I wrote my first fic I've been writing non stop so here's one of the many drafts I've been hiding lol also yeah the title is a Starkid reference i didn't know what to name it lol

You had to admit it, you were a very boring person. other than practicing with your band, since peter died your life consisted of checking on aunt may, the graveyard, band,  work, and home. your bandmates always tried to hang out with you out of practice but since peter died you became closed off to the idea of friendship, you know to avoid the distraction. you were close to peter than anyone else. you eventually developed a stupidly strong crush on him, but he died before you could confess. when you met miles your life became lighter. like a shit ton of guilt and stress had been lifted off your shoulders just by hanging out with a bunch of strangers. when you got home you slowly returned to your sad cycle,  may, grave, band, work, and home.

it was a Saturday night.

it was colder than usual and you could hear Peter's voice in the back of your mind scolding you for being outside in weather like this in spandex but besides your better judgment, you stayed out in the below-freezing weather. you hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary, which is saying a lot because this is new york city, the land of the crazies and stuff. you were expecting a calm boring day as per usual. that was until you felt every hair on your body stand up. you jumped to your feet looking for the threat, and that was when you heard them. "Peter!, peter over here!!!" "Peter!!" you turned around and noticed at the end of the alleyway you were standing in was a yellow portal. it looked nothing like the one you had passed through last month but you didn't care. you instantly started jogging towards the portal filled with... teenagers? 

 entering the portal you were met with a living room filled with old beige-looking furniture, along with the confused looks of the two teens and two adult men. you noticed one of the spidermen looked an uncanny amount like your peter, and you felt a pain in your chest every time you met his eyes. "don't think that's peter..." said the chubby kid with wide eyes "no shit sherlock, since when did peter have boobs?!" "Hey, you don't know if I'm not peter! I could just have very round pecs!" you jokingly went along "who are you." the beautiful brown girl asked with a skeptical voice "I'm Y/N... I kid you not this is like the second time this year I've been in a different multiverse" "Y/n l/n?!" both peters asked at the same time "yeah?" you took off your hood and pulled off your mask, revealing your face. "how is this even possible?!" peter 3 said rushing to you and hugging you, as did peter 2. you felt the same lightness you felt when you met miles. "I asked for peter parker, not some random lady in a spiderman cosplay". "I'm sorry, who the hell are you guys??" you motioned to the two teens and the granny in the corner of the room. " I'm MJ, this is ned" you couldn't help but notice the stares you were getting from the two spidermen. "you look just like him..." you said as you brought up a hand to cup peter 3s face as he melted into your touch. Peter felt like he was dreaming. if he was he never wanted to wake up. when peter lost you he stopped going out as spiderman. it was too painful to him, everything was a reminder and he couldn't bear to wear the same suit he wore when he held your dead body. "is that my jacket?" 

"Sorry to break this up but do we still have to find my boyfriend!" "Sorry, sorry, Your right," ned said as he continued to bring the right peter through the portal. "is there anywhere your peter likes to go to cool off?" peter 2 tried to help

 When the portal did open you gasped. you knew what had happened the second peter one looked through the portal with rage-filled eyes, tears streaming down his face. Someone had died. when peter lost his uncle ben he became bitter and rageful. the only reason he didn't get shot trying to take avenge his uncle was you because there to hold him as he cried. like how you were there to hold him in your arms as he died. "I'm going to kill him." peter said as he clung to MJ. "listen kid, I understand what your going through, but you don't want that kind of blood on your hands... especially since you are so young" you sympathized, "you don't know what it's like please don't say you understand what I'm going through!" Peter said, the words coming out of his mouth sounding harsher than he intended. You glanced at the other peters and continued, "I... I lost my Peter. When he died I felt like it was my fault since I'm the one who got him into the whole spider women mess I made. Trust me killing the person who did this isn't going to make you feel any better than you do right now." you said trying your best to hold in the tears threatening to escape your eyes.  "I lost my y/n." peter who was an actual copy of yours said. "I couldn't save her in time and it's my fault she died." peter said avoiding your gaze as you placed a comforting hand on his back, "I kept trying to be that friendly neighborhood Spiderman but after all of that it's so hard to leave the house." peter 2 rested his hand on peter 3s shoulder. " I lost my uncle ben," peter 2 said looking at peter 1. "before he went he told me" "with great power comes great responsibility" peter 3 and you finished in unison " how did you know that?" " Its the last thing uncle ben told me before he passed" "maybe she didn't die for nothing peter."

spiderman into the spiderverse is a masterpiece of animation and you should definitely watch it

I know everybody loves it but my problem was I already had comic movies burnout by the time it came out, and since I didn't read Ultimates I didn't know Miles at all and I think Bendis was already driving me off the x-books and comics in general by the time they were putting him in 616? So my Bendis bitterness was at an all-time high lol. Also I know Gwen is in it but I wasn't a fan of hers bc it felt like spidergwen replaced the characters I wanted more of, like Anya and Aracely (have they vanished into obscurity by this point???) and Cindy and Jess. I do NOT remember if that was accurate or if it was just my general comics bitterness at the time lmao. But I DO know this movie was incredibly popular and I AM curious to see Jess so I guess I should just watch it lol
