BEHOLD new au. Sun and Moon as jumping spiders

The House Spiders AU

So I got this idea after I spotted jumping spider crawling around in my apartment and my brain was like NEW AU IDEA.

So Sun and Moon are jumping spiders that decided to invite themselves in Y/N's house and Y/N just accepts that.

Now there are three possibilities. One Sun and Moon are just ordinary tiny jumping spiders and that's it. Two they come when they were small but overime they grew up and now they are big, very big. Three they are an embodiment of arachnophobia and they can change size. I like all three ;w;

Silken Chains and Nerves of Steel

Spider demon Moon, elegantly spinning his web, whispering adoringly: pretty butterfly, how ethereal your beauty is, the entire fairy court would envy you. Eyes glistening like droplets of rain in the sacred moonlight after a storm, lips softer than the petals of the rarest rose, heart beating with the strength of all beasts combined.

Y/N, tied up, struggling to get free: this is what I get for not cleaning the basement for so long, everybody just moves in as they please.

Moon, leaning closer, purring: we were merely building a nest, a home, and we crave the tenderness and affection of a mate. We sense that you are lonely, as well, haunting these halls like a ghost without a companion, ancient books the only thing lulling you to sleep.

Y/N, groaning: look, can you just let me go for a moment so I can go turn the oven off? The cookies are almost done and you do not want our "nest" to burn down. I promise not to run away.

Moon, snickering: I already sent my brother to handle that task for you. We can be good caretakers and providers. We will never let a single thing bother you ever again. Allow us to adore you, lonely butterly.

Spider demon Sun, happily arriving from the kitchen upstairs, a silly pink apron around his upper waist: I got the cookies! I made an entirely new batch, yours were a bit dry and that was unacceptable. Also, I would recommend a change in interior design, that sofa in your parlour is offending me with its very existence.

Y/N: out of the question! Also, this is absolutely unacceptable, I have things to do, errands to run, I can't just play with you two walnuts all day. Will you ever let me go outside again?

Sun, grinning and lovingly patting Y/N's head: perhaps on a silken leash, my love.

Y/N:....you know what, fine, but if they ask us questions at the post office and the grocery store, you two idiots will be the ones answering them.

Sun and Moon are the heroes of the city, and mc/yn is a minor villain! Lore for the boys will be in a seperate post at some point but not rnnnn

And then theres the main villain, The Mantis

Btw, totes unrelated, a baby mantis is called a Nymph :3

(An older teen sits on the ground. They have raggedly cut blonde hair and hollow blue eyes. They wear a loose tank and pajama shorts that are both blood stained. There are open, bloody gashes on their arms and legs, though they don’t seem to be actively bleeding. They look sick, exhausted and confused)

As a collective storytelling species, sometimes we just wanna see our favorite superhero characters happy in between some really dark stuff. Shout out to @wolfjessedragon for her OC Sunny from Across The Spiderverse fanfics and Sunny's character design by @smokeywhalee I love all the different takes on characters and how much fun we can all have with the stories we love. I still haven't decided if the boys are small at first and then they grow up or they can change size or maybe I leave it as an open concept but I know if I go for the size changing they could go from tiny to big only, nothing between.

Sun, leaning down to gently kiss their neck and whisper: Happy birthday, joy of my life, laughter of my soul. Moonie and I have lovely gifts for you.

Y/N, opening their eyes, warmth in their cheeks: my, how time flies with you two. There really was no need for the trouble, your mere presence is the true gift. You two make me so happy.

Sun, bringing Y/N to the mansion's underground chambers, grinning as they eyed the magnificent garments prepared for them: The one on the left is from me. I had produced the finest golden silk for my sweetheart, each fibre whispering of my love for you, each thread of this web echoing with the sighs I had made as I thought of you. My aurora, by day you shall wear the colours of dawn and hope.

Spider demon Moon, appearing from the shadows, reaching to kiss Y/N's hand, gently teasing their sensitive wrist: Too stunned to speak, pretty butterfly? Observe my gift on the right side, a gown of midnight majesty. I had whispered to the stars to ask for your fortune, placing all of their predictions into these silver threads, weaving the patterns of constellations upon silk of finest deep blue. Each thread echoes with the lullabies I had sung for you.

Y/N, speechless: my dearest ones, you are going to make me cry. Wait here, both of you, I actually also have something for you. It may not be perfect, but I am still learning. I will be right back!

A few minutes later

Y/N, returning, offering silken red ribbons with golden bells: You two had changed my life so much and I wish to give something in return, as well. I began to learn your craft and I made these for you. I am sorry if they are not perfect. Here, if you allow me...

Sun and Moon, breathless as they watched Y/N tie the ribbons into perfect bows around their wrists:..

Y/N, smiling gently: now, let's go enjoy the birthday cake together.
