Still remaining calm despite the other’s initial shock from his appearance, John seized his chance to have a little fun with this, letting out a small chuckle, one that had felt like it was drizzled with sophistication all over it. Lightly flexing his gloved fingers around, Rockerduck kept his gaze on the squirrel as he didn’t want her doing anything uncalled for.

“Now, now, given how easy it was for me to enter your small abode, I don’t think calling for the police will do you much good.”, he loftily stated while taking another sip out of the mug. Letting the mug rest in his hands around his lap, John made yet another smug smile at the female before continuing his speech. “As to why I’m here, well, that’s because you, my dear, have something that is valuable to the people I associate myself with. You don’t know them, but they know you.”

“Living without protecting what needs to be protected is the same as death...”

“Hmm...... Not everything meaningful in life has to be defined by that. There are other virtues to find without having to protect those that give off the mere illusion that they ‘need to be protected’.”

“Yet, perhaps we can agree to disagree on that matter?”

Andy had returned to her apartment after visiting with Scrooge. She shook the snow from her coat and hung it on the coat rack that stood by her front door, and went into the kitchen to make a nice hot drink.

While this wasn’t the type of place he would like to find himself in, he was supposed to be here due to some higher forces wanting him to be here more than anyone else. John wouldn’t think of this as something he should waste his time with, but since the person he had to converse with was not here, he decided to make himself something to pass the time by until they did arrive. Maybe some coffee would be nice, but hot chocolate milk would be more appropriate given the weather outside.

Upon hearing the footsteps of someone entering the kitchen, John turned his head towards that direction as he takes a light but elegant sip on the mug he was using for his hot chocolate. Alongside his sly eyes was a smug smile that was only matched more by the suave demeanor and aura Rockerduck was giving off. Hopefully this wasn’t him presenting off too much, but he did like to show off when he could.

“Good afternoon, or by this point I believe it would be early evening. Whichever one it is, I am sure you had quite a trying day outside in the snow. but that isn’t the only thing you have to worry about on your plate. There is something more.... important that involves you, dear. It would be best if you knew about it.”, he finally spoke with a lax but somewhat confident tone as he kept his gaze on the squirrel. Certainly his mission wouldn’t be too hard. It didn’t involve any fighting to his knowledge, but he did have a way with words before letting the situation go into a more physical direction unless provoked.

Anonymous Asks: Mai opened her eyes. Expecting to see and feel the hard concrete, but she was being held by a pair of gloved hands. She looked at her “mysterious” savior and saw it was... “M-Mr. Rockerduck...You s-saved me...?”

Why, it definitely wasn’t any sense of good manners to leave such a lady lying on the ground. It wasn’t gentlemanly at all! To undo this travesty, the con artist had slowly picked up the female, hoping not to wake her up while rising. It seemed that he failed at that, but he had to make a good first impression... as far as picking up someone you didn’t even know before then was a good start.

“Ah ha! So I see that you know of me. That certainly is good and all, but, the true center of attention should be on you, dear. Are you alright? Nothing hurt or broken? Do you remember what happened?”, John had replied with a soft and sweet tone in his voice as he then brought one of his gloved hands towards the front of his beak with widened eyes. He had forgotten the most essential part of a first meeting, the greetings.

“Er, pardon my many questions without asking the most important of all first, which is, what is your name, miss?”

Doing these small little scandals that he would do to take the gold that might reside within a town was an effective but now monotonous way of earning his money to life nicely in his older years. As good as his plans and improvising was along with the reinforcement that he had in the form of Jeeves, it seemed like he could not go wrong with his schemes. A town plucked of its gold here, another one plundered of its precious metal element there, and that was just how it was. If it wasn’t for that, the time socializing on the go with other passengers and telling tales of his exploits would find their place on his schedule. He did love telling others about the accomplishments that he had made for himself, and surely he was going to pay all of the towns that he had accepted the gold he collected from back when he had enough to do so and keep his status as a wealthy American member of society in the world.

Yet here he was in the moment of having his stay at this town to ensure that the gold here would be his to keep, all work that he definitely didn’t mind doing as someone else might try to get to it before him, and here was this cretin, oaf, clown trying to measure him up beak-wise. Why, he should sic Jeeves on this fool and be on with the rest of his day, but if there is one thing to John D. Rockerduck, one can bet he deals with personal problems with his own hands and care...

“An apology is not enough to receive my forgiveness, stranger.” John stated, clearly still not pleased with the gall the chicken had to lay those lips on his body in any way, shape, or form. There were terrible things that happened to those males and females that dared to defy the norm in such way as this, and those terrible things were not fun to experience from what he’s heard. “Nor should a machine, but since I am one that does allow for others to make up for their mistakes, you only get one shot. Where is your craft best at?” he inquired in a slightly curious tone, but underneath it still was the disgust that he held for the other after tainting him with that action. He might never get chicken spit off of him, no matter how hard he cleans.

Scrooge couldn’t believe his eyes.  What was Rockerduck doing in modern-day Duckburg.  “John D. Rockerduck!  How the blazes are you still alive?!  Wait, don’t tell me you got stuck in a timeless demon dimension too, or found a fountain of youth, or somehow cursed with immortality?  In any event, curse the doggoned luck,” he said with a sneer.

“Let’s just say that I stumbled upon a magical portal of sorts, and when money talks, it talks good.” the swindler replied before giving another triumphant chuckle. He wasn’t going to let the man that took away his gold get away with it, even if he did have to cheat his way into the present time. Time wasn’t going to stop John D. Rockerduck from becoming the richest duck in the world!

Though his eyes went back onto the other drake as he pronounced, “But why think about little old me when we can talk more about what you have? I’m certain it’s a lot more than the rags you wore back in the old days...” John gave Scrooge yet another smug face to present his feeling of power that he emitted. While not having his butler Jeeves with him as they parted ways a long time ago, he did learn a lot more than Queensbury rules after their first encounter.

“Ooh, what is the meaning for this?! Don’t you know how vile and inconsiderate it is to kiss another male?! I should… Bah, forget it. Just know that if I were another person, I’d have you sent to the clink for a stupid stunt like that. Don’t let it happen again, accident or not.” the drake went off in a frenzy of feelings, confusion, frustration, content, dislike, and most of all, flustered. It was definitely something he would not see very often back in the old days due to the rules of those days being a lot more stricter, something he certainly didn’t mind. The idea of a male kissing or having sexual, even romantic feelings for another male was about as wrong as taking the life of one’s own family or friends. John was very against this and now that the chicken had gone and done it to him, he wondered if he would be infected with the evil temptations of loving another male.

“Go on, scat you. I would wish for no further interaction with you.” Rockerduck followed up with as he made a distinct frown upon his beak and turned away from the taller male, his arms crossed, lower beak up high, and tail raised slightly higher than normal. He, was livid.

Anonymous Asks: Mai: (outskirts of McDuck Manor)...(turns around in surprise)...Oh, hello there Sir...(a strange emerald medallion glows around her neck)...Can I ask what are you doing here at McDuck Manor and-(sees Jeeves)...h-hi...(Blushes)...a-a-and who is this...(lightly smiles)...(Suddenly, due to her blush, a pair bunny ears appear on her head)...Oh, sorry...I need to get ahold of that...This is what happens when you’re Merlock’s great granddaughter...(eyes widen)...(Sarcastic)...Nice, M.

Arms cross out of disbelief that he was having to interact with someone like this, but then again, it’s like his expectations for people to meet would have to get lower and lower with the unappealing savages. An agitated huff escaped his beak as he closed his eyes to shield his gorgeous irises from this one before opening them up again to address the other formally like a gentleman should. “I am here to attend to some matters with Scrooge McDuck. I do hope he notified you of there being an appointment today?” John answered as he reared his head to the side a bit while answering. Then he pointed his thumb towards his right hand man and bodyguard, Jeeves. 

“This here is a personal employee of mine, and he stays with me. Goes by the name, Jeeves, and as you should know, I am John D. Rockerduck. Now please, may we enter so you won’t have to keep… embarrassing yourself like this?” Rockerduck proclaimed as he then placed his gloved hands on his hips, with an ever growing frown appearing on his face from the disappointment he was having to witness from this unprofessional behavior.

Maybe I could give back to them in small increments to display my generosity, but that will be a long ways off until I do so!”

“Howdy there, miss. Nice to see you once again, after my beautiful Rockerduck nugget was stolen by you and that other prospector. What brings you back to me?”

“Hrm? What’s there to be so glum about, miss? I’m sure something will come up and turn your upside down day right back up! Something like me and my presence?”

“ i did what i had t' do. ” Marshall says sternly, brows furrowed and grip tight on his jacket. It's true... He did what he HAD to for the well-being of Gumption, and come hell or high water, he's going to stand by it. (*yeets the sheriff boyyo at you* :3 )

“I’m sorry, who are you again? The Sheriff of… Gutpunch? Glower Gulch? It was some crude and distasteful name. Anyway, what were you babbling about?” the American swindler asked with force tearing its way into his words, clearly unsure of what the other was trying to imply. It sounded like he did something wrong when really it was Scrooge and the Goldie that were trying to take his gold Rockerduck nugget away. With an adjustment of his glasses, and a mean glare of his own at the sheriff, Rockerduck was wondering on whether he should call Jeeves to settle this manner or not.

“What I was going to do was put your town on the map. I have no inkling as to what you’re insinuating, but know that I was doing the right thing with that nugget. Helping a town prosper and flourish instead of being a measly boom and soon-to-be ghost town.”

☤ – what’s your muse’s health like? Do they keep up with it, or has it degraded over time?

John’s health? Well, it was average for a good amount of time until he met Scrooge. After that he continually was damaged and hurt by all of the things he had to experience, both physically and mentally. He tries to keep himself sane.
