Maybe this is a silly question to ask, and I know the people who run this blog are very busy, but I was wondering what your thoughts were!
Aurora has said each album she plans on making is going to be different from the things she's made before. It SEEMS like she's getting ready for her next evolution!! Different styles of clothes worn in shows. New merch drop with the weirdos and warriors! Do you have any thoughts on where we may be headed? Any theories or things you hope happen?
Thank you guys so much for all the hard work you do keeping us up to date here. Love you!!
Hello, lovely warrior!
It's actually a very good question and I appreciate the way you treated my time here and overall your consideration! <3
I have already answered a question on Step3 last February [link] but everything that went on since then and the newer interviews made me think of other speculiations.
It might still be Step 3 in a way how suddenly Step 1 and 2 are re-released + new redisign still has hints towards these eras + her current outfits hint more towards the past + new merch style might be a hint + the long ago pinned post with the dragon might be a hint as well. I can't understand for sure whether it was Step 3 that she referred to as an album for dealing with the grief with a song ‘A Different Kind of Human’ being a hint towards the direction (and I would personally need such album the most after what I have been going through) but either way the mood of the upcoming album will be opposite:
“It is crazy […] that our worth is defined by something we can measure in numbers. Like our fortune, our followers or our weight or our height. It’s just crazy how we let these numbers decide so much, when they are so meaningless. I’m heading towards this direction on my next album again. So my fifth album… or fourth… is this my third? (laughs) Well, my next album is going to be inspired by this. And this album now ("The Gods We Can Touch") is kind of a bridge over to that. It’s about reminding ourselves of the value we have within us, about the powers we have. Love, and also it’s all about the small, simple things. It has nothing to do with our phones, with success, even with God. It’s just you and me, right here, right now. We’re just floating on a rock in space, so it doesn’t matter if I have a pimple on my cheek today. Because – who cares? It’s about thinking really big and really small at the same time (laughs).”
- AURORA on her next album in the interview for FastForward Magazine by Gabi Rudolph (January 27th, 2022)
It will be a really fun album *smiles widely*.”
- AURORA on her next album in the interview for ba.no, translated by aurora.puppet (February 2nd 2022)
“A Little Place Called The Moon" is the perfect ending. You have to wait so long for the final release where I finally come in again. I like the patience of it, it offers you one last breath before it all ends and disappears into the sky. And it’s a really good bridge to my next album. No [I can’t tell a bit more about it]!
AURORA on a significance of “A Little Place Called The Moon” as the connection to the next album in the interview for Official Charts (January 26th 2022)
"People like, or aliens like, I don't know myself... Ok, creatures like yourself that sing together in harmony, it's very gorgeous isn't it? I have started my next album! It has a lot of people's voices."
- AURORA before performing "The Innocent" @ Paradiso, Amsterdam (September 3rd 2022)
And there's something very interesting about a possible on that album song:
"I have a song out there I think that has taken me 10 years, this is the longest. It will be on my next album, it has taken so many years. But finally I've gone through what I wrote about. For the first time, so I understand the song more, as from the inside it was easier. So one song for my next album."
- AURORA in an open interview session with Bergen Bibliotek filmed by abaddonna (November 3rd 2022)
It is certainly connected to the song she has already described in 2016:
"I have a song now that I've been working on since I was 16, but I haven't found the right words to finish it. I know it will be a good song when it's perfect, but I'm just looking for one line in the fourth verse to complete it. And in four years, I haven't found that line yet."
- AURORA in an interview for Vice (March 11th 2016)
Whatever AURORA has in store I'm impatiently looking forward to this, I believe and see her artistic growth and that excites me a lot!

Although both Celestia and Luna were confident that they could send a substantial pile of what they had baked whither they wanted, and they were willing to try it to ease Spike's heart, they admitted that they did not know if it was such a wise idea; so they politely asked the Young Dragon for some time, and promised to let him know before lunch, when they had found and enchanted the two mirrors.
With a quiet sigh, Spike nodded to the Princesses, as he understood that he would know in due time, and he followed them and Stygian as they trotted around the Palace, looking in every Hall for a big mirror, his mind focused solely on their friends' well-being; but when Twilight noticed his pensive looks, she sweetly lifted him on her and Solar's back, and asked him if they could help in any way.
After some hesitation, Spike admitted that his mind was burdened with worries for the others, since he knew how treacherous the Dragon Lands could be, and he feared that they had left the Empire with far too little time to prepare; and as he turned away in shame, he said that he should have offered to guide them, even if only to the Dragons' lair, from whence they could travel onward to the East.
The courage in his heart and his words far outshone the shame he felt over not helping, and as they gently brushed his cheek with their wing, Eclipse told Spike that he should not see himself in such a bad light; for while he might believe he had let down the others, they promised that nopony would fault him for it, as he still clearly wanted to help out by sending them their freshly baked goods.
As Spike looked up at them again, both Solar and Twilight smiled warmly in return, before they told him that if they could not send them anything, they would find a way to preserve everything that he and Stygian had made for them; and when they could receive magically translocated items once again, they would make sure their package was the first thing they got, even if it exhausted them in turn.
To their relief, a smile grew upon Spike's face again, and he thanked Eclipse for their kind words, to which they merely nuzzled his nose, when Stygian trotted into a Hall they passed, and asked them to wait for a moment; and he gestured for them to enter, as he wanted to see if the mirror in front of him was large enough, but he already confirmed that it was before they even made it to his side.
When Celestia and Luna walked up to stand next to Stygian, they found they could only see the upper edge of the mirror when they looked up as well, and they nodded to each other, and thanked the Grey Unicorn for his keen eye; and as Stygian started to blush, he chuckled, and told the two Princesses he was joyous to hear they were content with the mirror, before asking them what the next step was.
After Luna gave her Sister the small mirror, Celestia told him there was little more they could do, as her spell was easy to cast, even though she had never before cast it on any mirror of this size; the hardest part, she added, was to make sure that the mirror was teleported to Ponyville without a scratch, for which she kindly asked them for their help, but that of Eclipse and Spike most of all.
Both the Two-Headed Alicorn and the Dragon on their back were caught off-guard by Celestia's words, but after they managed to get their thoughts in order, they asked her how they could help her, only to be politely asked in return what Eclipse had told the Pillars in their letter; for they knew the Palace in Ponyville better than anybody, and she wanted them to think of the Hall they wrote about.
Fortunately for Celestia, as she cast her Speculis Spell on the two mirrors, Eclipse said that they asked the Pillars to go to the Hall with the Map of Friendship, to which she briefly nodded, before she walked away; but Celestia scared the others when she suddenly appeared in the Mirror, for which she apologised, whereafter she asked Luna to hold the small Mirror, and Eclipse and Spike to focus.
As Eclipse and Spike thought about the Hall, the others closed their eyes, and their horns glowed.
At that moment, they noticed a slight feeling of homesickness grow within them…

Archipelago is a deceitful creature called a speculus that is bound to a cursed mirror. ‘Simon Archipelago’ is not its true name. It previously dwelled alone in a small realm within the mirror. Naturally, it is formless; and it only assumes a form when someone looks in the mirror, at which point it matches that person’s appearance. In other words, the person’s reflection isn’t truly a reflection. It is the speculus, looking back at them, matching their movements perfectly.
Or... near perfectly. Sometimes it still ends up looking a little uncanny in places; a little off.
Many years ago, an unlucky antique shop owner found its mirror. Someone had left it outside his store. He liked the mirror’s appearance. It was an antique — dusty and well-worn, with a curving and silvery frame — and he decided to keep it.
The antique shop owner was lonely. So lonely. He’d grown apart from his friends and his few remaining family members and hadn’t seen them in years. And because of his terrible loneliness, when his reflection in the peculiar mirror spoke to him, he didn’t shatter the glass right away. A fateful decision. Instead, he listened to his reflection. It introduced itself as a docile entity trapped inside the mirror. It spoke in soft, soothing words. It comforted the man and offered him advice as time went on; it listened when the man needed someone to talk with. The shop owner decided not to sell the mirror. He kept it for himself, and he grew to trust his reflection. He considered it harmless, well-meaning. A friend.
And one day, his reflection asked for a favor. A simple favor. The first favor the entity had ever asked the man for. ‘It is so unbearably lonely, being trapped inside this mirror. I have been stuck in here for so long. Please, will you help me escape?’ And the antique shop owner felt a vague sense of dread, but ignored it. This was his friend. He wanted to help.
So, he followed his reflection’s instructions. He did the ritual. He gave the speculus his name: Simon Archipelago. And in return, the creature dragged the man into the mirror and trapped him there. It switched places with him, keeping the man’s name and appearance. It took over the shop owner’s life.
Normal humans cannot survive within a speculus’ cursed mirror for long. The old antique shop owner never escaped, and died years ago. Fortunately, the mirror realm absorbs deceased remains, so this wasn’t much of a problem. Meanwhile, “Simon Archipelago” has discovered that he enjoys antiques a great deal. He is very pleased with his job, and he intends to keep it for many, many years to come.
#|↟| headcanons#(him!!!!!!)#(he’s Awful)#(speculi take advantage of loneliness to manipulate people)#(and exploit their appearance bc they’ve learned people find it easier to talk to ‘themselves’ in their reflection)#(overall they’re just Terrible)#|☽| archipelago ( antique mirrors )#|↟| stories#death //

(Vvox.it)

The origins of the self-care movement are far more political than a quick perusal of Goop or mindbodygreen would have you believe. The term self-care actually began in the radical-feminist health clinics of the late ’60s, when a group of women in California stole some plastic speculi and set out on a school bus to educate women in their own anatomy (a small mirror was often distributed as well) and also to perform pelvic exams on each other at a moment when the gynecological profession was almost entirely dominated by men. It was also popularized in community health centers founded by the Black Panther Party in Oakland, California, places established to help populations ignored by the medical Establishment. It had nothing to do with massages or manicures. It was about looking out for your community when no one else would do it for you.

Consórcio de Carro Porto Seguro
Negat esse eam, inquit, propter se expetendam.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Uterque enim summo bono fruitur, id est voluptate. Quae autem natura suae primae institutionis oblita est? Quae sequuntur igitur? Duo Reges: constructio interrete. Quae quidem vel cum periculo est quaerenda vobis; Quamquam ab iis philosophiam et omnes ingenuas disciplinas habemus;
Non semper, inquam;
Itaque his sapiens semper vacabit.

This drawing of Trethevy Quoit in Cornwall is from a unique manuscript by John Norden. Surveyor to Elizabeth I (1533-1603), Norden visited this Neolithic burial chamber in 1584 as part of a survey of the county. The manuscript of his survey, entitled Speculi Britanniae pars, or a topographical and historical description of Cornwall, by the perambulacion, view and delineacion of John Norden, was presented to Elizabeth’s successor James I (1566-1625) in 1604. It was published long after Norden’s death in 1728.
