Their equivalent of Pokemon/Digimon is Spectrobes.

Spectrobes is a Disney owned franchise so it's totally viable for it to be in Twisted Wonderland.

Plus I adore the creature designs and the characters!

Headcanon: Maja is a trans woman

Supporting facts:

- Maja's name comes from a type of tulip with a venomous purple fringe. None of the other High Krawl (with the exception of Gelberus) have specified name origins.

- All other High Krawl are male. Krux could have chosen only men as his High Krawl, but then Maja came out as a trans woman.

- Krux is proven to be evil. Therefore, it could easily be theorized that when Maja came out as a trans woman, it was part of what drove him to replace her with Gronos.

TLDR; Maja is a trans woman that named herself after a venomous purple flower.

do you think that the high krawl could get hooked on affection from a human partner? mainly because the krawl usually just don't do affection, so i could definitely imagine something like this happening

The question is: Do Krawl really not do affection? I think that's down to everyone's own headcanons. I personally think it depends. I headcanon that Krawl vary in their ability to feel affection depending on subspecies. Some might be closer to dogs in their intelligence and feelings, and others might be more like snails 🤷 Krawl seem to be based on bacteria and fungi, and eukaryote cells are essentially more complex prokaryotes... Uhm. What I'm getting at is that I can imagine a higher lifeform developing from bacteria that isn't animals or plants, but with subgroups that share similarities to them. Highkrawl definitely seem to share similarities with humans. Spectrobes Origins had some Krawl who resembled animals (like the spider boss, some dragon-birds? It's been a while since I played). Whether their behavior and internal workings resemble those animals or not is to be questioned, but it's possible. Nevertheless I agree that Krawl seem to not do affection from what we see on-screen of them, whether they have the ability to or not.

Now onto the real question: Do I think Krawl can get hooked on human affection? 🤔 The Highkrawl definitely show human emotions, so that makes me think they have the ability to feel good receiving affection. The Highkrawl as a group seem to barely tolerate each other; they're all in a hostile environment among their peers. They likely have never experienced affection from someone on their level of intelligence. Making these assumptions I can imagine a Highkrawl getting hooked on the affection they're given, provided they get along with the person to begin with.

I can see them becoming disenchanted with time, though, once they soaked up enough affection for it to feel normal.

Sure! You're in for stuff with that guy, yeesh

• Jado is positively extremely vain. Once you get to know him and get past his superficial vanity... there's more vanity. He thinks he's great, even when he's at Krux's feet begging for help. This is because of his second defining trait: He is always looking to gain an edge over others. If he knows someone can help him achieve this, he'll feign humility and start begging, but don't believe for a second he doesn't still think he's the best.

• A relationship needs to be beneficial to Jado, at the very least at the start. He won't enter one without anything to gain from it, be it a powerful position, protection, a feeling of superiority, etcetera.

• Expect monologues and long discussions, especially early on in the relationship.

• He'll grow attached to his partner for other reasons over time without showing it much.

• He likes bragging, mostly about himself, but he will also brag about his partner's benefits. He's very loud.

• He's very loud.

• His affection comes in random spurts. He can be evasive during some time periods during which he doesn't make sure to spend time with or even check in on his partner. At other times, though, he'll keep them on their toes with his frequent presence.

• Not very romantic.

• Will frequently use his partner as arm rest or lean on them.

• He uses his shadow as an extension of himself to interact with his partner occasionally. A double-hug by both him and his shadow is nice. Feel grateful if he gives one.

•Maja is rude. Loving, butrude. She frequently teases her partner because she loves seeing themget embarrassed.

•She’s very unapologetic,so don’t expect an apology if she takes the teasing too far.

•If anyone else were totease or even insult her partner she won’t tolerate it. By doing thatthe person declares war on her. She’ll go out of her way to bedownright nasty to them.

•Despite her mean attitude,she cares and shows affection in her own ways. She’s a good listener,even if she makes rude comments and behaves tactlessly. She likegetting gifts for her partner and makes sure to plan time spent withthem, such as going on trips or doing something at home with them.

•She trusts her partnerwith her worries and will vent to them about what troubles her. Shetakes their comfort and help to heart.

•I hope you have goodfashion sense because Maja will not tolerate an unkempt partner.

Kissing headcanons:

•The rude and teasingattitude applies to kissing.

•She constantly teases andbadmouths her partner about wanting them to take the lead and lay onhand some more, but she frequently does so herself because she justcan’t hold back.

Spectrobes cast in a 70/80s hard rock/heavy metal band. Think ACDC, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, ex.

Interesting one! My take on it concluded in an interesting lineup lol

•Nanairo’s most well-known rock/heavy metal band is a bit of a wild mix of members.

•Rallen is the main vocalist, no question here. His voice range is broader than you’d think.

•Rallen took a lot of practice to get good at singing. He’s not a natural, but determination and stubborness took him a long way.

•Besides singing, Rallen plays the guitar.

•Jeena also sings sometimes. She mainly plays the guitar. She’s naturally good at singing.

•Aldous plays the bass. He’s a cool unconventional grandpa who has a lot of music know-how.

• Salia plays the drums. Who did you expect?

•The band had been looking for a drummer for ages until Rallen and Jeena met Salia. She was a bit shy at first when she told them she plays the drums, because at that point she didn’t know what kind of music they play yet. Once Rallen told her it’s rock/heavy metal, her mood visibly perked up. 

•Jeena was skeptical of the new girl at first because she couldn’t read her well, but they eventually bonded over letting loose while playing their instruments.

•Krux has his own band with the Highkrawl. Internal relationships among them are a lot more on edge than within the good guy band.

Hey! Got any headcanons for the Nagu line? (Nagu, Naguryu, Naguzoro) They're my favorite XD

My first ever digital drawing was of Nagu :D That’s good favourites!

Nagu:

•Nagu used to live in the water. Theyeventually developed the ability to float in the air. They still moveas if they’re swimming in water.

•Despite only having one eye, Nagu aresurprisingly expressive! If they’re disgruntled you will definitelynotice the glare they give. Anger and joy are easy to notice thisway. It’s speculated that this behavior was copied from humans andhow they move their eyes while feeling certain emotions.

•When a Nagu likes someone, it willoccasionally float over and lie down on the person’s shoulders totake a rest.

Naguryu:

•Naguryu are full of energy and have agreat desire to punch things, as well as clamp down their claws. Thisis speculated to be because it’s needed to keep their exoskeletonfirm and sharp.

•They regularly shed their plating. Theywill rub theyselves on rocks and the like to help get old platingoff.

•On first glance it looks as if they’velost their ability to float, but this is only partly true. The reasonwhy they can stand upright is largely because of latent floatingability. Their exoskeleton is heavy, and their serpentine bodiesalong can’t support an upright strance.

• An aspect of their child form they didin fact lose is their expressive eye. Naguryu have two eyes whichthey use to see, and they’re not more than expressionless orbs.

•In order to communicate, they makeclacking noises by opening and closing their claws.

Naguzoro:

•Now THIS lower body supports andupright stance. Naguzoro has lost all ability to float. It’s nolonger necessary.

•Despite the balance the lower bodygives to the rest, it’s actually mostly hollow. The stability issecured by the extremely strong exosceleton and the muscles thatsurround the „mouth“ the lower body poses as.

•When closing the lower body mouth,Naguzoro can lean their upper body forward and lie down. This isabout the only way they can relax their entire body. Luckily, inorder to sleep, this isn’t necessary. They can sleep while standingor sitting just fine.

•They still communicate by clackingtheir claws. They sounds are significantly louder due to theincreased claw size.

•Naguzoro love to run and exercise theirlegs. They still like punching, so if they want to attack someone or-thing, they will couple their blows with a charge.

•They’re more agile than you’d expect judging from how beefy they look.

Hi! Sorry about my years-long break. Ihope this is alright, because neither have I been to a boardingschool, nor have I ever talked to anyone about how it works. :D

• Rallen is well known at the dorms, asboth a troublemaker and – in a way – authority. How so? He standsup for other students who he feels are treated badly regularly, andoftentimes starts fights to get his point across. He’s definitelysomeone you want to be on good terms with.

• Jeena plays a similar role to Rallen.Like him she will bring any bully to submission, but in her case sheaccomplishes this without fights. She’s a student representative andeveryone knows she will report them and teachers will listen to heraccusations.

• Grant is the school’s headmaster. Heknows Rallen and Jeena well. The former because of his troublemaking,and the latter because of her efforts to maintain a good environmentfor all students. Grant used to be a Physics and P.E. teacher beforetaking the headmaster position.

• Professor Wright and Kate are…professors! Wright teaches History and Biology, while Kate teachesPhysics and Chemistry.

• Hank is the janitor. Rallen knows himfairly well because he sometimes has to stay after classes and cleanrooms as punishment for starting fights. They bond over talking aboutmotorcycles, and Hank has gives Rallen good tips on how to tinkerwith his own at home.

• Outside of boarding school Rallen liveswith his adoptive uncle, Aldous.

Imagine a Spectrobes farming game; like Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon

I’m so busy and so sorry for taking so long again u‿u”

-Rallen and Jeena are produce farmers-Rallen is very hands-on and does a lot of his work without any too fancy tools or machines. He does use them, but will also happily do the tasks for which they have no devices and get himself dirty.-Jeena builds, repairs, and uses tools and machines. She mainly works on further refining their products.-They go to town with a sales cart twice a week-It’s possible to visit their farm and buy something any day except Sunday-It’s also possible to order something from them, which will usually delivered by bike, unless the weather is horrible, then they’ll take the car-On Sundays they’re found at Aldous’-They’re part of a farmer association of which Grant is the boss

-Aldous is running a farm sanctuary-He has all kinds of animals there. Saved farm animals that used to live in bad conditions or where planned for slaughter, but also pets whose owners couldn’t keep them anymore.-Rallen and Jeena help him a lot in their free time, but that’s usually only possible on Sundays-Everyone from town is welcome to help as well-Aldous gets a lot of animal’s food for free in the form of leftovers or faulty products-But he’s also dependent on donations-He feels really bad for needing to accept money from others to keep the sanctuary running without being able to give them anything in return-Sometimes Jado sneaks in to be with the animals, especially the cows and chickens. Noone knows why and their attempts to keep him from doing so bear no fruit

I feel torn about what the Highkrawl would be doing. Either they’d be hunters who sell whatever they gather from their kills, or they work on fermented products with edible molds and whatnot. The first underlines that they’re evil, but I like the second a lot too. Both?Krux is their boss obviously.

-Gretta is the mayor.-Salia is a kind girl who doesn’t quite know her purpose yet. She frequently helps out in the neighbourhood, but she’s not peticularly good at anything.-Dave is a blacksmith. His twin brother Kotetsu is one too, but all the way over on the other end of the planet.-Wright is an archeologist who travels around the country and sometimes visits the village. Digg helps.-Kate is an astronomer. She has her headquarters in a city nearby.-Hank runs the local repair and assembling shop. He’s helped to put many of the farmers’ machines back together. Jeena’s really good at it, but sometimes even she can use a skilled third hand.-Cyrus is running a mine in the mountains not far away from town. Here also, his twin brother Dyrus pursues the same profession on the opposite side of the planet. Any closer would end in disaster.-Neal falls into a hole Rallen is digging one day. That’s how they first meet.
