So, I’ve been going back and rewatching Across The Spiderverse and— rewatching the Spectacular Spider-Man (2008) series for nostalgic purposes and because I never saw 2nd season (since I didn’t know they had one) and my god it was a depressing ending!

So, in turn. I had been cooking up a new Spiderverse OC and y’know. Just decided to give the guy a silly little (not little) partner! Meet Eden (aka. Jade), formerly known as the Glass Spider!!

Spider-Man is my favorite comic book superhero or character overall and both in and out of comics, considered one of the greatest superheroes of all time. But why is that? Yeah, he's smart but he's not the smartest. He's strong but not the strongest. Or the most powerful. Under the mask, he's no alien, no norse god or super soldier or billionaire. He's just a guy from Queens. With a damn good heart. Just a guy I have been drawing over and over and over again for my entire life just cause I love his heart so much. Each one of these moments in this collage shows what made me fall for this character. Not just random cool fights with bad guys or saving the multiverse from some cosmic threat. No, it's Peter Parker, finding one of his enemies in a hospital bed and decide that they should go to the beach before his time is over. It's Peter Parker, spending a day with kids that really needs it. It's Peter Parker, keep pushing while everyone arounds him tells him what a menace and threat he is. Or help out with homework. Or just doing his best to celebrate his friend's birthday when everyone else in her life has left her. Damn, one of my favorite comics ever is just Peter Parker, for 16 pages, swinging from one end of New York to another just to make sure a tourist gets his lost phone back. In all of these, he's just a guy who happens to have powers that's just doing what's right and try to help out whereever he can. That's what I love about him and who he inspires me to be as often as I can. So cheers on 60 years of just being spectactular and being a beacon of hope to kids and readers around the world and hope that the next 60 years will be just as Amazing. . Open for Commissions!
