Charity Stream!
On June 25th, starting at 12 Eastern Time, CherokeeStarfish and his husband SpecificPixel will be doing a charity stream!
This is dedicated to the Video Game History Foundation, and all proceeds will go straight to them.
For those who don’t know, CherokeeStarfish and his husband, SpecificPixel, are lgbt+ streamers who run almost exclusively older, retro games- the general rule is games that are more than 15 years old.
For this stream, CherokeeStarfish will run Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past randomizer, the first time he’s ever done a randomizer of any kind!
After, his husband will do a run of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
And finally, if they have time, they’ll finish with some light co-op of Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
Please come by and watch if you can!

Thanks to the Video Game History Foundation for this sweet gift!
Y'all helped us raise over $1600 for the Foundation back on June 25th, and SpecificPixel and I are already looking forward to doing it again in the future. In the meantime, please consider supporting VGHF and their work—you can join their Patreon, make a direct donation, shop at their merch store for loot like this, or find other ways to help preserve video game history.
And of course, you can watch the whole charity stream and all the following donation incentive content on our special events playlist, in case you missed any of it.

Thursdays — Same as the Mondays tag, but for Thursday series.
Fridays — Also the same, but for special Friday series.
Saturdays — Same again, but for Saturday series.

Welcome post — Especially for this pinned post!
I'll edit to include new tags here as they come up.
Schedule at a Glance
Mondays:
Monday series alternate between my solo "streamer's choice" games and husbandplays with SpecificPixel, where we take turns choosing games for each other to play with multiplayer titles in between.
Week A: Divine Divinity (2002; PC)
Wasteland 2 (2014; PC)
Wasteland 3 (202; PC)
Week B: Blaze & Blade (1998; PSX) w/SpecificPixel
Soul Blazer (1992; SNES)
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Remake (2023; Switch)
Thursdays:
Thursday is variety night! We play a little of every genre, as chosen by patrons and then voted on by the broader audience.
The Legend of Kyrandia 1 (1992; DOS)
Obsidian (1997; PC)
Etherlords (2001; PC)
Mystery P.I.: The Lottery Ticket (2007; PC)
Pokémon Crystal (2001; GBC)
Fridays:
Fridays are special streams and not part of the typical schedule. Right now, these include game "tastings" (one-shot samples) and longplays awarded to charity donors:
Wild Arms 3 (2002; PS2)
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (2006; PC)
Deus Ex (2000; PC)
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura (2001; PC)
Darkstone (1999; PC) w/SpecificPixel
Clive Barker's Undying (2001; PC)
Zombie Dinos from Planet Zeltoid (1992; CD-i)
Disney's Hades Challenge (1998; PC)
Saturdays:
Saturday streams are party-based RPGs, usually open-world. After finishing a slate of titles chosen by patrons and voted on by other viewers, I pick a game for myself to chill through before we run the next poll.
Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear (2016; PC)
Wasteland 1 (1988; DOS)
Eye of the Beholder 1 (1991; DOS)
Lands of Lore 1 (1993; DOS)
Might & Magic 8 (2000; PC)
Of course, if you've got questions or need any help finding stuff, just comment or message me and I'm happy to help!

Thank y'all again for over 1k subs on YouTube!
I mentioned before that SpecificPixel and I will be doing a charity stream to celebrate, so I wanted give more details:
June 25th starting at 12pm ET, we'll be streaming for at least 12 hours (until midnight) trying to raise $1000 for The Video Game History Foundation! If you're not familiar with their work, check 'em out: https://gamehistory.org
This is our first charity stream, so there may be a few hiccups (any advice from fellow streamers is welcome), but we're working hard over the next few weeks to try and make it the best it can be. We've already come up with some fun donation incentives, so help us spread the word and let's try to raise our goal and then some!
We'll be kicking things off with a randomizer of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which I'm super hyped for; neither of us has ever even been in the same room as a randomizer, so we both expect it to be a lot of fun for us and y'all. It shouldn't take nearly 12 hours to get through that, so we've got some other plans for after we finish, to keep things interesting.
Hop over to our Patreon to get more info sooner, or keep an eye out here and on YouTube as we get closer to June 25th!

This was our very first charity stream on the channel, and I have to admit, SpecificPixel and I were both a little nervous just because we couldn't be sure what to expect. As with our 100 follower and subscriber milestone, though, it turned out better than we could have hoped. We're grateful to everybody who participated in any way during the stream. 💜
As shown in the image above, we completely smashed our original donation target and our stretch goal by raising $1631USD for the Video Game History Foundation! Honestly, that's incredible for such a small channel and for our first charity fundraiser. I'm proud of our community and the work we've done, both for the event and that brought us to this point.
So! On to the juicy part:
Successful Donation Goals & Incentives
Thanks to some incredibly generous donations, we have the following coming up on the channel, all of which will appear in the same order as donations were made. These will be streamed on Fridays at 7pm ET, with a soft target of July 7.
Game "Tastings:"
Wild Arms 3
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
Deus Ex
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Darkstone (co-op w/SpecificPixel)
Clive Barker's Undying
Game tastings will be one (1) full stream to sample the game, with the possibility of a full series if it's received well and fun is had by all.
Full Series:
Zombie Dinos from Planet Zeltoid
Disney's Hades Challenge
I'll be doing both of these from start to finish, however long that takes.
On top of that, look forward to a Starfish vs. Pixel stream, since we met our goal of $1000! More details forthcoming as we hammer them out.
And finally, because we met our stretch goal of $1500, I will be playing through both Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3 after I finish up Hades Challenge. When we get close, I'll be posting a poll on YouTube to see who from our previous roster of Desert Rangers will be returning the the team. Will we see Dina Might, Ira Knuckles, Skull Duggery, and Brains Oberon reunited? What's become of Mayor Pedros? And what about Christina and Metal Maniac? Will we wind up with the same folks—just older and meaner—an all-new crew of rookie Rangers, or something in between...?

OMG Y'ALL DID IT 🥰🤯💜
I cannot believe all the support we've gotten in such a short time. I know I must sound like a broken record, but it's only because y'all have shown out for our little channel in such a big way, and SpecificPixel and I really can't put words around how grateful we are. Y'all're incredible!
We've already been planning something to celebrate when we hit this milestone, so now I guess I have to tell you what it is, lol: Pixel and I will be doing a charity marathon sometime in June, where I (and maybe he??) will be playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past all the way through...but randomized! Neither of us has ever played a randomizer before, so hopefully this'll be a lot of fun.
We're still working out the specifics, like donation incentives and a final donation goal, but we've already reached out to the Video Game History Foundation (our charity of choice) and they're on board! If you have any incentive ideas, let us know in the comments and we'll be happy to consider them along with whatever our Patreon folks suggest. Depending on how long it takes, there might be a second game and so on, as well, since we could get a really good seed and crush the game in a few hours. I'll post more here, on Patreon, and on YouTube as we hammer out the date and stuff.
Thank y'all again so, so much for all your kind comments and engagement. It means a lot, and I hope we can keep producing retro gaming content you'll enjoy for a long time to come!
