This relationship definitely started by you snapping at him over something hime dod and him leaning down to your face and saying something like "well aren't you a cutie"

You just about smacked him and then it settled in that he was basically flirting with you.

First date consisted of a walk down the streets of San Francisco (yes this au is in SF CA bite me.)

He took you into a shop and pointed out a cat stuffie that you said looked like one you had when you were little and he bought it for you with a red bow on it a few days later.

Basically the Hercules of the Z-stacks just a little harder to read.

Kind of a ditz but you have to love him for it.

He was a stuttering mess when he told you he had caught feelings and held out a single sunflower for you to take.

Loves to lay his hedon your lap as you play with his hair and talk or watch a movie.

Likes to write stories, a lot of them involve you, and he reads them to you! He's a very good writer and so many of his characters are really well developed and beautifully designed.

He has a little brother named Zacary (Xacary?) and his brother often helps Zip set dates and such up

I have a little headcanon that Zip might have partial autism but he has ADHD and he was abused as a kid so the relationship is a little rough for him at first.

Adjusting to the whole thing of hey they love me, i love them, i can trust them.

But as he warms up he helps more, and dances with you more, and begins to really thrive in the relationship.

Is definitely in love with you even if he forgets to tell you some days.

Jazz? my boy!!! So I actually have a lot of various, contradictory headcanon’s about Jazz. Imo, he is very good at changing himself to fit in and tends to mold himself to what a person wants/needs/vibes with (in a relationship or in the Autobots lmao whoops) ✿ - Sex headcanon - I actually see Jazz as ace and demi. He sees sex as fun sure, but he has no real desire for it? He mostly does it because it either makes his partner happy, helps him fit in, or, usually, helps him get intel. He really treats it like a tool and focuses more on what sex can accomplish than the act itself.

☠ - angry/violent headcanon - Jazz is very aware of his status in the army, his position (always as ops head, usually in command), and the image he projects to the army; morale officer, the peoples officer, someone the crew can come to and trust, etc. So he tries his best to put that front on at any given moment. But also if he gets to that point, it is scary. 

He gets quiet, his field gets totally empty, and he really enunciates his words with the most fake, polite smile you will ever see. If he goes beyond that, it usually leads to carnage and Jazz either leaves or has to redirect himself (if anything, the very deadly head of ops losing their temper is not something to take lightly). If you see him with a totally upright posture, hands at his sides and his face neutral, it is Bad.

Also he’s a jerk and he hides his temper too well; he acts the same as if he’s a 12/100 or a 99/100. He doesnt tend to give warning signs unless you specifically know how to look for them, or if the news is bad enough, you can kinda figure it out. But outside of that, he does have a pretty even temperament and can talk himself down; a lot of stuff rolls off his back.

☆ - happy headcanon - Jazz is utterly fascinated and in love with pieces like  Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture. Taking actual weapons of war and destruction and making it, and the symbol of war and death, into something new and beautiful and music? It’s astoundingly creative to him and it’s one reason he’s so infatuated with humans. 

★ - sad headcanon - I have so many but uh. Jazz never gets over a lot of his trauma. He didn’t expect to even survive and he’s at a total loss on what to do. He absolutely sees himself as a tool for the Autobots and he has no real plans for after war.

☾ - sleep headcanon - Jazz naps a lot more than he gets into real rem, bc they’re robots he spaces it out and it’s not great for you but what are you gonna do about it lmao? He tends to sleep light and wake up every now and then to do a passive scan before passing back out. He’s also good at taking micro-naps that refresh his system, such as in meetings. (depending on who’s talking, the naps can be a bit more nappy and a bit less micro).

Elsewise, Jazz tends to sleep in his office or with Mirage and other ops mechs more than his bed.

I'm reading the queen and slim script (bc I have no intention of watching the movie) & I intended to read the script purely looking to analyze how the (obviously political) story elements held up to real life, as so often hollywood tends to fall flat in portraying the experience of oppressed racial groups, especially (and specifically) black Americans.

however, I could not help but just... really feel that this script is so obviously written by people who know nothing about even basic laws and resolutely did 0 research on the law outside of reading facebook infographics about citizens rights during traffic stops, and it seemed Queens character being a lawyer flew straight out the window the moment the throwaway lines of dialogue about her recent case came out her mouth.

the most egregious example was obviously the traffic stop scene. Queens role is quickly delegated to a passive observer who occasionally throws out quips about police brutality and does little to help the situation (and becomes actually a part of the escalating conflict). now, obviously no person can really expect to react rationally/perfect during a traffic stop. poor judgement/behavior is no excuse for murder.

HOWEVER, queens character is very much introduced to be no nonsense (wants to send back slims incorrect order, says she doesnt like people "not doing their jobs", etc.) and also very self assured & confident, combined with a very clear the knowledge of state law & a pretty well established attorney (as she handled a death penalty case, it's unlikely Queen was advertising on bus benches), I just dont think Queens actions correlated very well with the established traits from the date + the car ride

also the whole movie is a response to police brutality & subverting what usually happens so turning this scene into a sort of soap box for the message wouldnt be "unrealistic" so much as necessary in setting the movie apart from any other usual hollywood cashgrab for social issue points.

plus Queens profession could have actually gave the story & her character much more depth and this scene at the beginning of the movie is just a stumbling block that has everything else just go downhill.

Some more realistic proactive actions that I think align with Queens character:

having done the research, queen could have taken charge of the situation (as she wanted to do in the restaurant, which could have made for some good visual/dialogue juxtaposition with some tweaks to both scenes)

Queen is a lawyer, she could have very well turned into one at this moment, not letting slim give verbal consent for a search or even introducing herself as slims lawyer. maybe even chastising the officer for not running a check when he comes back with his license & registration and still asking if slim has any warrants (i.e. he wasn't doing his job).

Queen tends to be self righteous by nature, so I think she would definitely be affronted by the police officers accusations & continued/escalating misconduct. this would have been a good time to reassert her & slims earlier characterizations. Queen as very self assured & slim as someone who doesnt like to ruffle feathers

perhaps slim could have tried to get Queen to stop "provoking" the officer with the law, sensing that the officer didnt like being in the wrong, which is already present in the current scene, as he goes red when he doesnt find anything in slims trunk & concocts a violation on slims part to justify pointing a gun and shooting. tensions would definitely be running high as slim was a very nervous character already and the two were incompatible from the beginning, so it would be easy for the cop to escalate the situation and also serve as commentary that cops are worse than untrained civilians and are still given access to deadly weapons.

and finally, psa DO NOT FUCKING REMOVE BULLETS EVEN IF ITS "JUST UNDER THE SKIN" (god that paragraph pained me to read) THAT SHIT AINT A FUCKING SPLINTER

but queen removing the bullet honestly read like torture porn though so I highly doubt the scene was done in good faith or out of the characters ignorance

anyway i now understand that there’s actually two options for which guy to follow out of helgen, you can go with hadvar who is an imperial soldier who sympathized with you but still helped lead you to what was supposed to be your death, or ralof who is one of your fellow prisoners and is a stormcloak soldier 

either one leads you along basically the same path and they’re weirdly both from riverwood but don’t seem to know each other??

i didn’t even realize there were two guys calling out to me in the chaos the first time i played. so. medea just blindly followed hadvar because she didn’t see ralof there, hadvar helped her and was kind to her, and she doesn’t understand the politics involved and doesn’t know what she was arrested for in the first place so she feels maybe the imperials had a good reason for wanting to kill her, but still doesn’t trust anyone who leads prisoners to execution without telling them why 

but she’s kinder toward them because of hadvar (and she was so confused and disoriented she doesn’t realize he was one of the main officers involved in the execution either) 

ragweed however followed ralof, saw hadvar but went NNNNOPE FUCK THAT GUY. he’s actually fond of ralof now and is VERY much on a “FUCK THE IMPERIALS” mindset after what they did to him. headcanoning he just kinda got roped into that whole mess like the other thief did

3. what do they look like? (add screenshots, drawings, descriptions!) eileen is about an averaged sized elf, she has the Same Vallaslin as senros, i have some shitty screenshots of when i didnt have a graphics card but i have some fair ones of her too after i got a graphics card, and also a few drawings:

i mostly have older, not-so-good drawings of her that i dont like. so that’s pretty much all i feel like finding because i dont want to sort through my tabris filled art folder to find like the few drawings of her that i have shadfuishaufias

4. how did they feel about being called “the herald of andraste”? yeah not a fan. with her holding her dalish beliefs closely she doesnt like being associated with the chantry. 

5. what are their religious beliefs, if they have any? dalish?? beliefs??? is there a specific name for that???? im not sure??? 

6. what is their opinion on the mage/templar war? her twin was a mage and she sympathizes with the mages forced under chantry rule and supports the rebellion, but she knows that there can be no solution to this by fighting forever and that the chantry must be dissolved forever. 

14. which demon is most frightening to them? OH THIS IS A GOOD ASK IM GONNA STEAL THIS ONE. id have to say a pride demon. mostly because of the size factor and the power it wields, and less the #deeper meaning behind it. 

28. did they encourage cullen to continue taking lyrium, or to stop? for what reasons? no one cares about cullen and i dont care about cullen I DONT EVEN FUCKING KNOW WHERE CULLENS OFFICE OR WHATEVER IS IN INQUISITION I SERIOUSLY HAVE NO IDEA WHERE HIS ROOM IS IN SKYHOLD AND I DONT BOTHER TO FIND IT I TALKED TO HIM O N C E AND I WAS LIKE “SHUT THE FUCK UP, CULLEN” and yeah. none of my ocs care about cullen, just like me. so i guess he keeps on taking the lyrium idk not my loss binch make fuckin tabris the war commander HONESTLY MAKE. TAB. THE COMMANDER. she’d turn it down though because she’s Busy™ but one can dream.

18. upon first meeting cole, were they afraid of him? i wouldnt say afraid. wary, yes, but she trusted varric more than solas and rolled with it. cole ended up being one of her closest friends. 

30. are they an optimist, a pessimist, or neutral? neutral, honestly. she likes to take everything on a day by day basis. not that she doesnt plan for the future, but that she knows anything can change in an instant. 

35. how do they feel about “the game”? politics to her are well, more of josie’s and leliana’s thing. she doesnt particularly understand the game but she’ll take pretty much any chance to manipulate an orlesian. so she has a neutral opinion on it. sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s bullshit

37. do they like their skyhold pajamas? oh yes very important question. gonna have to say yes. she enjoys being comfortable.

ALSO! i know you’re going to ask how he lost his horns so im just going to tell you: he was on a mercenary mission and it went wrong and the qun found him and tried to make him into a saarebas and they cut his horns down to the nubs basically (extra harsh punishment for being tal-vashoth, i guess) but i found an interesting headcanon that qunari horns grow incredibly slowly so he’s around 25 when inquisition starts and he was around 19 when they got cut off. so he has those metal horns he puts on because he thinks he looks more intimidating, also he has a fondness for jewelry and what-not. then a mutual of mine suggested that dorian gives him different types of metallic horns with designs engraved in them, and lemme tell u. i Adore It. 

4. how did they feel about being called “the herald of andraste”? he doesnt really care. it’s just a name to him. as long as they know who he is and what’s he’s doing. he doesnt care about the chantry. not in the arrogant asshole way, but just in the uncaring shrug kind of way. or as i call it, the theon vs tab way ashfuasfhas

5. what are their religious beliefs, if they have any? he doesnt believe in any higher power. he just feels like the world wouldnt be the way it is, that if a god exists it must be one hell of a shitty one, and there’s no point in following a shitty god.

6. what is their opinion on the mage/templar war? since he’s a mage he feels strongly about the war, despite being an apostate and never walking inside a chantry or a circle tower. he knows the fighting has to stop but he knows that the chantry cant just get away with what they’re doing. he needs the mages to be free. it just feels wrong to him that he’s free and so many others suffer . he has a soft heart, if you havent picked up on it yet. 

14. which demon is most frightening to them? sloth. despair, pride, rage, and other demons may do physical damage but the idea of a sloth demon just locking you in the fade to basically rot scares the shit out of him.

18. upon first meeting cole, were they afraid of him? he has a fascination with spirits and trusts cole pretty much off the bat. which can be a bad move but he trusts him anyway

30. are they an optimist, a pessimist, or neutral? he was an optimist. at the beginning of inquisition he believed that everything would work out the way he thought it would. in reality, hell no. he becomes more neutral at the end of the game. he still has his big, soft, heart but it’s all been torn up to shreds time and time again when tragedy after tragedy happened to him. 

35. how do they feel about “the game”? politics arent his thing. he also isnt very popular among players of the game because he’s a huge tal-vashoth mage. i think he’s too nice to get into politics 

37. do they like their skyhold pajamas? he’d probably try to go on a mission wearing them to be honest
