Other Headcanons of Gwyn's Knight's
Artorias
• Loves nature as well as animals
• He really enjoys field missions, especially in the forest outside of Anor Londo
• Golden Retriever vibes
• He doesn't like attending Gwyn's meetings because he doesn't like the idea of being stuck in the same place without being able to stretch his legs
• Has hyperactivity
Ornstein
• He is so meticulous in what he does that he must follow a specific routine, with times and everything.
• I love to think that he knows the names of each of his knights, as well as their abilities, weaknesses, and strengths.
• In his free time, he usually dedicates himself to art, both music and painting. He's not very good at it, but he enjoys it a lot.
• When he's in front of Gwynson, he unconsciously turns into a peacock, acting arrogant. When he realizes it, he feels very embarrassed.
• He hates when plans change at the last minute; it frustrates him a lot because he has a plan for everything.
Gough
• Despite being an honored knight of Gwyn, he still feels like he doesn't belong in Anor Londo, so he tries to stay out of all major decisions.
• He has never liked standing out; he's very shy, although he tends to express himself more with his companions.
• He was forced to participate in the war because, as a giant, he had no other choice, but he managed to surprise everyone with his skills with the bow and his loyalty, thus earning his title.
• He's not a big fan of animals, but he loves listening to birdsong; it truly relaxes him.
Ciaran
• She is very practical, excessively so. She only grooms herself as much as necessary, eats as much as necessary, and lives with only what is necessary.
• If there were black coffee and cigarettes in Anor Londo, that’s what she would have for breakfast every day.
• She doesn’t open up to anyone, least of all her companions, which is why she’s intrigued by Artorias—he’s so warm and friendly with everyone.
• She prefers staying in Anor Londo, doing missions with a roof over her head.
• She loves rainy and cold days, perfect for staying inside.

My first ever Artfight attack after publicly-revealing my Profile is here, this time being for @huecycles with Gospiel and Beltrowel from Andromedia!
Tumblr media
I've wanted to make more Fanart, with Andromedia being a project that I've known and interacted with since it was only 'The Metropolis' as a Chapter 3 Take, so I'm glad that I was able to join Artfight and finally have the ideas and references needed (I also attempted to be as style-accurate as I could, so I hope that it was presented well)!
To give context for anybody else seeing this, the specific image is a Redraw from 'HELLUVA BOSS: Loo Loo Land // S1: Episode 2', which was used because of Lisspeed/just-ornstein doing in the Andromedia Discord Server.

i hope you're ready for a long answer.
OKAY, this is a little more complicated. dark souls has a plot that follows all three games, but it's more of a "dark souls 3 is a somewhat direct sequel to 1, 2 has a separate plot but what happens is important". it depends how much you value surprises, and honestly i think that, plot-wise, you can play them in any order. i played 1 and 3 and watched a gameplay of 2 before 3 so i got the "canonical experience", and especially 3 has like. a LOT of shoutouts to the first game, both with locations and characters, and it's a great ending to the trilogy
BUT.
i'd argue that even retroactively, the plot points are still intact. of course you're going to get a much bigger reaction to the abyss watchers in 3 if you know who artorias is while playing 1, but viceversa discovering artorias' story in 1 is going to be fun with the knowledge of the abyss watchers' existence in 3, for example; same goes with ornstein in 1 and his armor in 2 and 3
when it comes to mechanic. that's a little different. dark souls 1 is what i truly consider the "vanilla fromsoft experience", even more than demon's souls (another game of the series that has Nothing to do with dark souls if not certain characters dw). it's very arcade, a little arcaic, very slow paced compared to the others and missing some key elements and refining the rest of fromsoft games have, but it's still an incredible gem; dark souls 2, again, is kind of considered the fromsoft black sheep for many reasons, one of which being the different mechanics. it's a good game, but it puts a lot more emphasis in a LOT of boss fights, ganks and dangerous locations; dark souls 3 is my favorite specifically for the mechanics because, while not as much as bloodborne or elden ring, it requires you to get used to be way more aggressive than the others and hit hard. it's also by far the easiest soul game to me, and maybe the easiest fromsoft soulslike in general along elden ring. at least in my opinion :^)
TL;DR
it's up to you, really.
dark souls 1 is a more basic experience, a somewhat simpler plot, and still quite difficult. a little clunky, but still an incredible experience with a world you get easily lost in. it really rewards taking this slow, bosses included. > i think steam has the prepare to die edition, so the DLC should be part of the package. if you have to play even just one DLC, play this one. it's totally worth it.
dark souls 2 is a much "heavier" gameplay, with big emphasis in combat, boss fights and dangerous locations. a little bit of an "outsider" compared to the rest, i wouldn't recommend starting with this one but it's still a fun and much darker experience. great if you enjoy battles and a more cinematic, hollywood fantasy epic compared to the more vague plots of 1 and 3 > again, I think steam has the scholar of the first sin edition. It adds some extra lore and a different final boss compared to vanilla
dark souls 3 is the true sequel to 1, and an incredibly powerful experience. darker than the first and with emphasis on a more apocalyptic world, if DS1 requires patience this one tells you to be aggressive and fight further. easier than the other two in my opinion.
.....................and personally. DS3 is my favorite fandmsg

thinking about my experience with the souls(bornering die twice) series
tried dark souls for the first time in like 2014 maybe? didn't have a controller i could connect to my pc so i played with mouse and keyboard. no dsfix. struggled for hours to make it to taurus demon and im not sure if i beat him. definitely got stuck on the bell gargoyles if i did. no summons bc i didn't know about them. it was such a tense and terrifying experience. killing every enemy every time, incredibly stressful to gain an inch of progress bc i knew i could lose it all at any time.
i tried bloodborne next and the opening bit of yharnam also had me stressed over every inch of progress. but i got past it and got pretty far into the game. it was fun to go fast and parry things. no summons again bc i didn't have ps plus. i think i stopped on the approach to mergo's wet nurse bc giant spiders started to show up, dropping onto u from above, and that was too scary for me.
tried ds1 again years later with dsfix and a proper controller. i got way further, making it to ornstein and smough but i couldn't beat them. no summons again, not because i didn't know how to use them but because i had fooled myself into believing that the "true" way to play dark souls was without them. the main feelings i remember from this run were frustration and anger. banging my head against a brick wall until it broke. getting frustrated when the wall wouldn't break after the most recent hit. getting angry when it hurt to hit my head against the wall. feeling nothing when i finally broke through.
i didn't try ds2 or 3 bc i hadn't finished ds1, and sekiro looked way too hard, so my next game was elden ring. no summons bc i still thought that was the best way to experience the game (did use spirit ashes and a ton of spells though.) again, i bashed my head against the brick wall until it broke, getting frustrated and angry when i died and not really feeling satisfied when i won. but i did win. it was the first souls game i beat. i even did Ranni's questline and got her ending, despite it being optional and hard. i had finally proved that i could beat a souls game the "intended way." and again, it mostly just made me feel frustrated and angry. after all that effort i learned that it would have probably been much more fun if i had just used summons. i enjoyed the exploration though and my appreciation for the combat grew while learning how to fight some of the world bosses (specifically the magma wyrms.) despite my anger and frustration i enjoyed elden ring enough to put over 100 hours into it, eventually trying out randomizers and the seamless co-op mod as well. i think the most important thing i took from my time with elden ring was getting so used to fromsoft controlls it became like second nature. being able to run while keeping an eye on the boss, without lock-on, can be unbelievably helpful in certain situations, and i would not have been able to tackle the next game without that familiarity.
next was sekiro. sekiro pissed me off more than any game i had ever played before, and it is the game that finally made the souls series fully click for me. it was frustrating to adapt to sekiro's style of play after 100+ hours of elden ring, frustrating to have no choice but to approach bosses with the sparse (compared to other games mentioned) options provided by the game, frustrating to still feel like the only option was to bang my head against a brick wall until it broke. i actually made two attempts at playing sekiro, the first of which ended at lady butterfly- i didn't understand how sekiro's combat rhythm differed from fromsoft's other games, so i felt like it was impossible to make progress in the fight, got mad (especially on juzou) and quit. my second time trying sekiro i fought gyoubu before attempting lady butterfly, which worked out way better and gave me a feel for the rhythms of the game. this time when i fought lady butterfly, i understood what the game wanted from me and i felt i had a chance at seeing an ending. i would still get frustrated and angry but once in a while i would actually feel satisfied after a fight; i could see what the game wanted me to do and i delivered. no longer would i launch assaults of the cranium upon the brick wall with no end in sight, i could now read the game and see a path through.
then i fought Owl (father.) Owl (father) was the most Piss Me Off fight i had ever fought. i could learn when to be agressive, what to punish, how to parry parriable moves, but it did not lead to victory. i would maximize the uptime of my agression and owl would end up maneuvering us into a corner where i could not see or effectively avoid certain attacks. i would attempt to punish a move i had punished dozens of times before only to discover that the contours of the dirt floor of the arena had positioned us in such a way that my attack would just barely miss, allowing owl to hit or even kill me with an attack that was normally safe to punish. i would parry and dodge perfectly, reach his second phase, bring him down to a sliver of health, only for his fire-owl summon to get caught on a pillar in a way that delayed its movement to punish my regular dodge timing that usually worked for that move. this fight pissed me off so fucking much. i got embarrassingly mad. it took me three days to beat him. i did not feel satisfied. but this was the last time i didn't feel some kind of satisfaction from beating a boss in these games, and after this fight i felt that the souls games finally fully clicked for me. it's hard to articulate but it's like i had a better sense of what was and was not my fault when i died in these games, as well as being more capable of working around things that were unfair. after three days of seeing exactly how to beat this boss and having my plans foiled by quirks of level geometry, i slowly realized that that kind of situation had basically never happened before or since. and when i do encounter some capital b Bullshit i can quickly figure out how to avoid or mitigate it as much as possible. three days of walking a straight path up a hill and falling flat on my face after tripping on a rock i hadn't noticed before taught me that if i see a path to the end i absolutely can make it, i just need to accept that sometimes i will still fail. it was an infuriating lesson to learn in the moment, but it has greatly improved my enjoyment of these games. i defeated isshin with a smile on my face, each new move and phase that killed me a joyous expression of how fucking cool games can be.
i still get frustrated and a little mad at these games but nowhere near what i felt before. but finally, every part of these games was fun. i tackle new bosses from the elden ring dlc with the same enthusiasm with which i finished sekiro.
idk if i had a point i was working towards. i guess it's that u can absolutely get into the souls games by playing it the Pure way, spending dozens upon dozens of hours with mounting anger and frustration and no help, but you could also just have fun and use summons while you can bc ultimately what's important is spending time getting used to the quirks of these games (also bc summons aren't available in sekiro and you should play sekiro :3)

For Tempest!
51. What's a phrase they say a lot?
Weirdly specific but helpful character building questions
I don't actually think Tempest has a catch phrase? I am taking that opportunity to talk about something else when it comes to a verbal tic though. You see, each time Tempest is adressing Ornstein, he will say his name. Even though they are normally the only two around and it would be clear he is talking to Ornstein. But he always, without fail, says his name. Over and over again. Because he figured out that Ornstein always has been the dragon slayer or the captain. Barely anyone said his name. And that is why Tempest repeats it over and over again. So that Ornstein can feel like a person again.

Massive Ranne Story Lore dump bc I hit art block
Pardon any grammar and spelling mistakes. My fingers type too fast for autocorrect to save me.
Don’t read if you don’t want to.
It’s long and I’m just using this post as a little diary. It’s for my own sake because writing this down is good for my organization.
Goals that I want to start soon for this story:
- Figure out a story name (I was calling it The Fall of Eden for awhile but the sleep token influence is too strongly depicted so no)
- Design Ranne’s weapons (Zweihander, scythe, short one handed sword of some sort)
- Ranne’s move set if they were a fromsoft style boss (bro for sure inflicts frost and blood loss)
- Armor sets for Ranne (Right now I need to finalize their basic black armor and cloak, but I would like to design different sets)
- Design more characters!! (Elaboration below in lore spiel)
So the lore break down begins.
Note: all characters without names mentioned are only concepts that live in my head and will be drawn out eventually. Ranne and Punicae are the only ones I’ve drawn. Find them in the tags.
World style: Ofc I’m heavily influenced by fromsoft specifically Elden ring because it sort of captures how I imagine Ranne’s world looking like. It would be a little more realistic geography wise (No Caelid like environments or that crazy scary underground place that’s purple). More first-area-of-Dark-souls-esk. Ranne dwells in a chronically snowy mountainous forest area. Being the god of winter and birds, theyre very solitary and cold (pun intended). Although Ranne can be merciless, they respect their boundaries and are polite to lower ranked gods.
In the god/deity hierarchy: the elder gods (creators of the oceans, fire, sky, etc) are on top, second tier gods like Ranne (other gods of the seasons, significant landmarks, planets, moons, other shit like that ig), third tier deities like demigods and Punicae (deities of less importance), last are other montrous creatures and mortals of significant power granted by gods.
Back on track, Ranne lore wise I’m thinking they developed a relationship with the god of autumn and decay. Ranne is androgynous representing and I would like this Autumn god to be masculine. It takes awhile for the autumn guy to win over Ranne but they become friends (and maybe something more cause I can’t deny myself an angsty love story 🤭).
Here comes the spring god. Feminine representing (I know it’s cliche but I can’t make everyone genderless). I like the idea of all the gods not being perfect and good in the story, everyone has blood on they’re hands (except maybe a top tier motherly elder being that will be concepted AND Punicae because she’d never hurt a fly). so this spring goddess, despite spring having purity growth and rebirth connations, will probably be a very evil guy. Since spring is represented by (re)birth, they would probably see themselves as a mother or older sister figure, which will lead to them being “controlling” and likes when things are in order. She sees Ranne’s new relationship with the autumn guy a threat to the order within the godly sphere and invokes jealousy within her. She also has a hatred for Ranne because they’re mean and bring death with them (winter kills gang). She sees Ranne’s harshness and revered nature as a threat to what she creates despite it being how life goes.
Quick note: Summer god, again probably a gender less being like Ranne, probably a large knight (D from Elden ring and Ornstein from DS inspired). Wise and usually stays out of any drama that happens within the godly sphere. Morally good and settles conflict when they are prompted. Morally in the right area.
Back to lore. Eventually after Ranne and autumn guy are besties, there’s a schism between the higher gods when the elder goddess/mother figure that I mentioned being not evil falls ill. Gods argue about what will happen if the mother goddess heals or passes. Who will take her place? Will nothing change? Will a second tier god become an elder god? The gods are jealous and greedy and through lots of slander, confusion and hatred, the schism turns into a full out war. This affects the mortal sphere as well (sort of like the shattering in Elden ring but a little more carnage and gods dying a lot).
ANGST TIME autumn guy eats shit and dies (dies in combat) and in a fit of rage Ranne goes a bit crazy and kills the deity who killed autumn guy and few others. Influenced by evil spring goddess, the elder gods send Ranne on a punishment to exile for 1,000 years to guard an ancient forest and temple that has been abandoned, only to return to their rank and territory once the years are over. Not thinking too much about once Ranne is free but they probably kill spring goddess for shits and giggles.
That was more typing than I’ve ever done in one sitting holy shit.
Erm idk if there’s anything else to say about lore. I’m gonna talk about characters design inspo pics now.
Autumn man:
Ofc yummy oranges, browns, and maybe some greens. I’m thinking when it becomes fall in the mortal sphere, they look orange and brown, but when’s it’s the rest of the year, they be green and brown.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Edit: Uhm Pinterest ain’t helping rn sooooo more inspo pics later.)
If you’re a psycho and made it this far, I give you a hardy affectionate slap on the back for being a trooper. Why did you make yourself read all that.
OC Name, story name, idea, and image inspo suggestions are always welcome. I honestly need ideas for creatures and characters. I really like feedback/critque so don’t be shy. I eat content and human interaction like it’s free food so don’t be afraid to talk to me.
Anyways that’s all.

Heyo! This is a bit out of the blue, but I am missing Ciaran and the Knights of Gwyn these days, so since I know you are a fellow Ciaran stan, I wanted to ask if you had any favorite headcanons for her? :)
Oh man!! Lots! Thank you for asking, the Lord's Blade is a seriously compelling character and I'm always happy to talk about her. :>
Here's a few to do with her pre-Knighthood days.
🥀🥀🥀
🗡️ Ciaran remembers when the world was young. Orphaned and friendless at a young age, she spent her childhood among the ghettos of New Londo, built underground to help withstand the frequent dragon attacks.
🗡️ Ciaran is indeed a full-blooded Medial, or one born of Gwyn's race. Her parents likely died in the war, though as a girl she always secretly suspected they abandoned her. All the other adults of New Londo were shady, dangerous. Her parents must have fit right in.
🗡️ As a child, Ciaran developed a passion for theater. Ciaran would eventually weaponize this to become anyone she needed to be as the mission demanded. But as a child, it was innocent, and for a time she and the other children would perform shows in the evenings. Perhaps she had always wanted to be someone else.
🗡️ Ciaran loves flowers. As a child in New Londo, sny artifacts from the surface were treasures. The glowing Darkroot Lilies became particular favorites, as they grew best in the dark.
🗡️ As a young woman, she too volunteered to fight in the Dragon War, and eventually became a Silver Knight. As a New Londo urchin, who was familiar with the humans and the shadows, she was already an outcast. She also became known for forgoing any shield on the battlefield, preferring dual swords.
🗡️ The snowy-white north was a deathtrap. The Dragons still ruled there in Ciaran's time, and the territory was of little value. Still, she and her company were assigned to go, and serve under an unproven captain.
🗡️ Those years in the north were the hardest she had ever known. Endless ice, blizzards, snowfalls higher than the top of one's head. People starved. People died. Ciaran was a recluse. She twisted orders. She broke off from formations. She was ungovernable. She was hopeless. She was going to die here. And for who?
🗡️ A great dragon ambushed the meager camp one day, and Ciaran predictably became separated. She was ready to accept her fate. But the captain leapt from the side, and misdirected the deadly strike. Shielding her with his body, he suffered horrific scars, before the dragon moved on. There, they were abandoned in the snow, left to die.
🗡️ Ciaran came to terms with the betrayal of her peers slowly. Not that she was shocked to have been forgotten, per se. She had already seen herself as unlikeable, unknowable. But the fact that one specifically of their number -- the strange young captain -- had almost died for her. And now they both lay injured and dying and alone in the snow. And with nothing else to do but wait, they talked.
🗡️ Ornstein, he said his name was. His family destroyed by the dragons, just like hers apparently was. But somehow the moron managed to twist his tragedy into a misguided sense of honor and duty. How sad. Didn't save his life, now did it?
🗡️ She heaved him onto her back that day, and they trudged through the snow. They rendezvoused with the rest of the contingent days later, where the poor captain was wheeled away by a gaggle of priests. Surely he wouldn't make it. It all was surely for naught. Everyone was going to die, one day. She couldn't understand why she had even bothered to help.
🗡️ She deserted. They could search all they want--Ciaran knew disappearing like no one else. Her next years were regrettable. She drank, she gambled. The terrible memories of the north stuck to her, like starvation to one's ribs, like frostbite to the toes. It was vital that she forgot. It was vital that she find out how to live again. It was vital she that she forget she never knew how to live at all.
🗡️ Years later, she received a plain-stamped letter. A letter of thanks. An invitation to a warm meal and a warm bed, courtesy of a nameless benefactor. How could she refuse? And indeed, how could said benefactor not find and repay the woman who long ago in the terrible North had saved his life?
sorry, I you said "favorite headcanons", but,,,

Greetings, denizens of this intangible ſpace. I am Gwyndolin, Goddess of the Darkmoon, lastborn child of the Great Lord Gwyn, patron goddess of justice and bearer of the Soul of Cold. Events have conſpired to bring me to this other place against my will. I worry greatly for Lordran in mine abſence, for the First Flame ever fadeth and, though diſtasteful is the act, ſacrifices must be offered as kindling with regularity, with the world's ſurvival prolonged in proportion to the magnitude of souls a ſavior Linketh unto the flame. The time approacheth again mere decades hence and preparations must be made to train the next heroic Undead and guide them along the path; to that end I seek return to the lands of my birth, that I might lay out the ſtrengthening challenges once more.
While here, however, I do resolve to learn of this odd realm, and to partake of its hoſpitality and its challenges. I am, outside of duty, a scholar: of three forms of magic, and of archery, and it would be remiſs to recuse myself from learning as well the skill of battling with pokemon. Therefore I do swear to train a team and ascend to Champion, should time allow while my search progreſseth toward a way to travel home.
I have one pokemon already, though I know its ſpecies not. Twas a brown and large-eared ſort, with fluffy tail, which did approach me like a cat upon my Fall. Foolishly I did reach out in trust, against my cautious habit, and as my fingers brushed across its fur a change did come at once. The beaſt now sporteth fur of white, with ribbons upon her neck all tipped in pink and blue. I have named her Ornstein, after a friend most dear to me, who did transform her body just like this creature, and myself in past, have done.
A settlement lieth ahead along the road; I shall make my way to its gates and seek insight as to the journey ahead.
[OOC info under the cut.]
Hi it's me again from @the-fluffiest-trainer, yes I know Dark Souls is quite a different vibe from MLP, but it's also my favorite game ever and I can't let the growing crowd of Bloodborne Fallers have all the fun, now can I? Gwyndolin and Fluttershy are in the same world and the same Kalos and can conceivably run into each other. This is mostly because I am still not very familiar with pokemon and didn't want to have to double my research and play through another game in parallel, but also because it's just really funny to see them in the same place together.
This world is closer to the anime than to the games, with expanded regions and less emphasis on hard game mechanical details in pokemon battles. I write what makes sense from the perspective of living in the world, even if the numbers and code might not agree.
Important info and ground rules:
With this blog in particular, much more so than with Fluttershy's blog, I am going to have a very twitchy finger on the block button. This has nothing to do with you; this is just due to my own personal requirements in this specific context.
Pronouns are she/her exclusively. IC misgendering will be responded to with hostility. OOC misgendering may get you blocked, because it means you haven't read this pinned post and I really need people to have read this before interacting.
Gwyndolin arrived to Kalos via random ultra wormhole, same as many Fallers, from roughly the ds1 player's time period.
Pelipper mail is on, however...
I am extremely autistic about this game and I guarantee I know what ds1 canon does and does not say. If you make reference to something that's in ds3 but not in ds1, I will know.
If you put ds3 shit in my inbox, I will almost certainly not respond to it.
If the above happens too frequently, I will close all mail. And that's no fun for any of us.
If you send me particularly graphic or offensive ds3 shit, I will block you. Do not fucking test me on this.
Gwyndolin's pokemon team:
Ornstein (she/her), sylveon, who found Gwyndolin upon her Fall as an eevee but evolved instantly upon being pet, just due to the sheer transgender energy Gwyndolin imparted.
Andre (he/him), snom, found on Route 19 and initially thought to be a crystal lizard.
Sif (she/her), yamper, found alongside Radagon in the wilderness near Anistar City.
Radagon (he/him), yamper (shiny), found alongside Sif in the wilderness near Anistar City.

Velkotaq (he/him), corviknight

Marshadow (they/them), marshadow

Gwyndolin: Standard black text
Visual description in videos: [Bracketed italicized black text]
[unknown]: Purple text. This person first appeared in the "#impish stranger arc". All that is known about them is that they are short, redheaded, also hail from Lordran, and really do not want Gwyndolin investigating them.
Gym Leader Olympia: Blue text. First introduced in the "#anistar rumors arc", her psychic abilities may prove useful in tracking down the stranger noted above.
Fluttershy (@the-fluffiest-trainer): Pink text.
Twindolin: Teal text. AU Gwyndolin from a worse Lordran, introduced in the MMM "Moon Moon" and managed to stay in the pokemon world.
Content warnings for this blog, current and future:
Canonical events of Pokemon X
Trainers can be affected by pokemon moves if improperly targeted
Possible mentions of past transphobia and parental abuse
Not post-apocalyptic themes per se, more like... actively working to push off a foreseeable apocalypse. If Gwyndolin gets home again and does her job, there never will be an apocalypse.
Occasional high-stakes plots which may involve injury and/or death, for both pokemon and trainers.
Current deviations from normal:
Gwyndolin got cat ears pelipper mailed to her. It took her weeks to notice she had them because of the mask she wears all the time.
Story arcs so far:
Intro arc (no tag): Gwyndolin Falls into eastern Kalos and finds a starter pokemon. She takes on a dragon-type gym in a noncanon small town.
#cold wind arc: On the way to the nearest large city, Snowbelle, Gwyndolin investigates what appears to be a creature native to Lordran.
#impish stranger arc: Gwyndolin happens upon a person who cannot be focused on or remembered later, but who shows up on video. Investigation leads to this person revealing they are also from Lordran, then leaving town and threatening Gwyndolin with bodily harm if she tries to find them again.
#week of weeks mini-arc: The road is out to the north of Snowbelle, so Gwyndolin takes the back roads through a tiny town, arriving just in time for a local holiday. She learns about other traditions and meets a very gay woman named Ruth.
#anistar rumors arc: Everyone in Anistar City is strangely hostile for no apparent reason. The psychic gym leader Olympia informs Gwyndolin that a stranger passed through recently and spread unpleasant rumors about her, then made themself forgotten when they left. Also there was an incident with some zucchini.
#mmm: moon moon: An alternate Gwyndolin falls into Kalos, from a timeline in which the Dark overtook Lordran. She does not wish to return home, and with Gwyndolin's help manages to remain.

I've gone off before about how rad it would be if there was a zelda game with dmc style combat, but i'm getting mad because i had a dream that i was playing that game and it was fucking rad as hell and when i woke up it didn't exist
Specifically i was fighting a boss that was two bosses (like twinrova, ornstein and smough, ko-shi and ro-shi, or i guess not a boss but i'll count gracious and glorious because it helps get the point across) and when i killed one, i got the hookshot MID FIGHT and i paused my game to run out of the room to get my brother to show him because i was popping off at how cool that was because it worked like Nero's snatch and i mean do i have to explain it from there?
AND THEN IT UPGRADED TO THE DOUBLE HOOKSHOT WHEN I KILLED THE OTHER ONE
I literally popped off so hard i woke up and i was so mad about it

69 - change of schedule
^ haha funny sex number
Stream
I was going to stream Terraria with the world that I was previously playing (the nightmare tmodloader world), but I decided (after playing too much just beforehand) to exchange today's stream with Friday's stream. So today I played Minecraft, specifically the mod pack CTE: 2 Resolution. I made some progress on making my house today and spent the rest of the time after exploring for some of the dungeons I found on the server. While I did not find a large scale dungeon, I did find a cool village of which this mod pack has plenty. After playing a bit of single player, I decided to play on the server on stream to show just how much I have been burning my time away on it. I am over three times the level that my single player play through is on, but I will persist with the single player play through. It is a shame that I cannot really share the mod pack since it is behind the Discord in a Google Drive rather than an official mod source like Modrinth or Curseforge.
Outside Streaming
I decided that I wanted to play Dark Souls off stream, and I made a bunch of progress yesterday in my spoon only run. I did grind a little bit to make it have above 300 damage, but I still thought it was pretty fair going into the Ornstein & Smough fight. It took < 5 attempts for me to defeat O & S, with my victory being a result of me abusing the old confirmation box duplication glitch to heal with a Firekeeper's Soul. After that, I got the Ring of FAP then stopped playing.
In another universe (as in I modded my DS: R), I found an overhaul mod called Age of Sunlight, which I am playing right now. I took a break to write this.

Trick or Treat Letter
Hello, ToT author! Thank you for writing for me! <3
I hope you enjoy creating something for the challenge. I am certain I'll enjoy seeing it!
Overall Trick Preferences
I like scary and tragic scenarios, although I'd prefer a dash of comfort with the hurt. Body horror, gore, evidence of past trauma, all good stuff. I love themes of decay over time and regrowth in the ruins.
I'm a big fan of horror with some dignity to it. If we matched on Elden Ring, Dark Souls, FMA, or MoE, writing in a similar tone to those canons will make me a very happy camper.
Overall Treat Preferences
I enjoy nontraditional relationship structures, intimate friendships, and kind words from strangers every bit as much as romantic ships. Sexual scenes are welcome but never required.
I really REALLY like loyalty under pressure, depictions of faith (in another character? in a force beyond comprehension? it's up to you!) and intimacy in all its myriad forms.
If you're writing something on the sexual side, I quite enjoy a focus on what the participants are doing with their hands, as well as the emotional dynamics between the characters. I like monsterfucking, displays of passion, and enthusiasm between partners.
DNW
dubcon or noncon; scat/watersports/emeto; setting-change AUs (coffee shops, high schools, etc); y/n fic; a/b/o; pregnancy. Please see AO3 for fandom-specific DNWs, but that's 90% of it.
The following section collects all of the prompts written for all my fandom requests.
Fandom-specific Ideas
Elden Ring
For Tricks: I'd love to see Rennala's slow descent, or her knowledge of what's happened to her children vs what's going on in her cloistered academy with her sweetlings. Elden Ring has a LOT of horror in its DNA, and I'd love to play around with that some.
Anything Rykard and Tanith may blur the lines between trick and treat, and that's GREAT.
Who's under the crucible knight armor? How changed are they by exposure to their power of choice?
For Treats: Sweet scenes and kindness between Radagon and Rennala, or between Tanith and Rykard (or between Tanith and Rykard and the Knight? hoo hoo)
Likes: LGBTQ headcanons, genderbending Radagon, good mom Rennala. Rykard before or after Eiglay. BAMF Tanith. Cameos of other canon characters entirely welcome. Worldbuilding and details.
Dark Souls 1
Whether it's a Trick or a Treat is going to be all about focus, here, and DS1 being what it is, the lines may blur. I'm good for that.
I'd love to see some pre-canon scenarios, with or without the Chosen Undead (time being stagnant and convoluted, it seems possible they pay a visit!) Artorias before Oolacile; Ornstein and Gough vs the Dragons? Ciaran at her duties? Gwyndolin stepping up so that Anor Londo can endure past the loss of the Sun?
If you want to write during the canon timeline, how does the Chosen Undead react to meeting these heroes of old? How do they react to this upstart undead? How much do they remember of what they were?
Likes:
LGBTQ headcanons. Friendship among the Knights of Gwyn. Death, tombs, occult weirdness, time shenanigans, the creeping horror of the bonfires, the Dark, the curse... Characters of faith. Other canon characters entirely welcome.
Compilation of FFVII
I'm familiar with the original game, and a bit less familiar with Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus. If you pull in material from other parts of the Compilation, I'd love to know where it is from in a note :) I'd like fanwork about the Turks, or the Turks and Rufus, or the Turks and Sephiroth, or the Turks and the world around them...
For Tricks:
Show me your character(s) of choice at their skullduggery - is Reno finding a new way to aggravate someone? Is Tseng planning the abduction of a presumed Ancient? What if Sephiroth has an assignment that will require some subtle and quick-thinking backup? There's so many monsters in the world, and Shinra is making more all the time. Has it made monsters of them also?
Jenova transformations, weird science, terrible working conditions, and monsters all welcome.
For Treats:
How about the Turks on vacation? Characters supporting one another after an assignment gone wrong (or gone right?) Quiet moments in the Shinra building, or perched somewhere in Midgar's soaring heights - or in its depths?
Likes:
LGBTQ headcanons. Friendship amongst the Turks. OG Sephiroth, quiet and contemplative and not so human. Jenova-based weirdness. Bad people making bad systems better for their own reasons. Nobody taking President Shinra seriously (and nobody forgetting he is dangerous).
Spy x Family
For Tricks: Yor as the Briar Princess, showing her thorns. Loid up to spy shenanigans. (Perhaps they both have the same target? Someone's going to have a bad day.)
Exploration of their dreary, oppressive society is welcome, but I'd prefer the family to have a safe zone at home. Hurt/comfort VERY welcome.
For Treats: Are the Forgers doing anything fun for Halloween? Has Bond ever met a cat? What does he think of Halloween costumes? What if Bond saw a ghost, and only Anya knew?
Likes:
LGBTQ headcanons. Intimacy and good parenting from unlikely characters. Good people prevailing against bad systems. Bad people making bad systems better for their own reasons. Poking fun at terrible authorities.
Machineries of Empire
I'm very fond of Jedao, Yeren, and Ruo as a trio; of Jedao and Mikodez fencing wits with one another; of Cheris and Jedao being stuck in their get-along body; and of Istradez and Mikodez being awful together.
For Tricks: The hexarchate is a terrible place, full of terrible calendrical effects and horrifying remembrances. How do the characters react - internally, as showing an external disagreement is dangerous in the extreme? How do they hide their heresies?
Is Mikodez as awful as he thinks he is? Is Cheris as okay as she thinks she is? And what of the Immolation Fox?
The only thing worse may what lies outside its calendrical control.
For Treats: Sweetness (or spiciness!) with Jedao, Yeren, and Ruo! Istradez and Mikodez being good to one another, duplicates externally but so unalike inside. Cheris and Jedao at a truce, or collaborating.
Likes: LGBTQ headcanons. Games, be they board games, mind games, video games, or games of deceit. Body horror and examination of personhood. Monstrosity. Shuos being Shuos. Shuos being Kel. One lost Kel at the Shuos party. Explorations of hexarchate culture. Spaaaaaace! Mad science, bad science, extrapolation of your favorite weird science fact into hexarchate space.
FMA Brotherhood / Manga
I love Roy and Riza in pretty much every permutation - good friends, lovers, pining. So long as they have one another's backs, all's well in the world. I like Olivier, but she doesn't like Roy - she makes such an excellent foil for the other two.
Kimbley is a terrible, terrible person and he is SO MUCH FUN. Playing with the contrast between him and the Amestrians who are at least attempting not to be walking atrocities is a good time.
Greed has been one of my favorites for quite a while, be it his attitude of making everything better (because it's his by right) or his various attempts to get out of the role he was created to occupy.
For Tricks: FMA has a lot of horror in its DNA. Whether it's human transmutation, chimaera, or the horrors of war, there's lots of room for angst and scary stuff.
Solf J Kimbley is a warning in himself. So is Roy Mustang.
Oliver Armstrong is not far off, even though she may think she is.
If you write Ishval War fic, please also include an element of Riza and/or Roy determined to make a world where the things they do never have to happen again.
For Treats: Does Amestris have an All Souls' Night? How do the characters celebrate it? Or, someone gives a small sweet treat to your choice of the characters - what is it? How do they accept it, if they accept it at all?
Likes: LGBTQ headcanons. Alchemy, occult nonsense, weird science, bad science, your favorite science fact made into a plot point. Body horror and examination of personhood. Monstrosity. Good people prevailing against bad systems. Bad people making bad systems better for their own reasons. Poking fun at terrible authorities.
Thank you again!

weirdly specific character questions for Tempest: What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss? What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them? Did they take a cookie from the cookie jar? What kind of cookie was it?
Weirdly specific but helpful character building questions
Thank you, Vodka ^^ So let's get into Tempest's mindset... Actually, Tempest always had cooking as a job AND a hobby. As long as he could cook he was happy and once he met Ornstein he could cook again so everything turned out fine in the end ^^ Most people probably notice his broken and crooked nose first. But he has seen it so many times that he will first notice if his face is dirty or not or if his hair is unruly or not. Most of the time it is unruly ^^ He probably FILLED the cookie jar ^^ And yes, he took one. To give it to Ornstein. It was a sheep cookie.

This Skyrim mod introduces an essential Dark Souls mechanic
Tumblr media
The best Skyrim mods, in my opinion, are all about subtle adjustments. These initiatives have the potential to dramatically transform Bethesda's rendition of Skyrim when combined with the RPG game. This Skyrim hack, which adds a frequently disregarded feature to Dark Souls and other FromSoftware titles like Elden Ring, is the subject of my today's article. With a Skyrim mod that brings over one of Fallout 4’s best features recently released, there’s absolutely a market for enhancing Skyrim with ideas from other games. This time it’s a bit of a UI tweak that makes Skyrim play a bit more like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and any other excellent FromSoftware game you can think of. While the Soulsy HUD mod from ‘ceejbot’ is a small change in the grand scheme of things, it’s going down a treat. It does exactly what you think it does, and changes the Skyrim UI by giving you a Dark Souls-inspired heads up display, completely changing how you cycle through items as you play. Much like in Dark Souls, this Skyrim mod gives you hotkeys for four equipment slots, and you can cycle between different items in each slot. If you’ve played Dark Souls before, you can already guess how much more fluid this can make combat, as explained by ceejbot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNhgXxlYdXA “If you want to switch between Flames and Healing spells in your left hand, you’d add each of them to your left-hand cycle,” the modder says. “For your right hand, you might set up a long sword with an anti-undead enchantment, a dagger with Soul Trap, and a bow.” The inventory and favorites menu have their uses in Skyrim, but if there’s one thing I absolutely hate doing in RPGs it’s having to repeatedly pause the game to use items. Fallout does have the weapon select wheel, but because you can’t actually pause Dark Souls, that game’s design has to let you easily switch between items on the fly. While each hotkey can have up to 20 items in it, having to cycle through that many items sort of defeats the point, so you’ll want to keep the cycles small. Trust me, if it’s anything like trying to cycle through to your Estus Flask in the middle of Ornstein and Smough when all the slots are full, you don’t want it. The Sously HUD mod does also come with a configuration menu, which lets you set these different hotkeys: - cycling through shouts and powers - cycling through items for your left hand - cycling through items for your right hand - cycling through consumables - using a consumable - toggling HUD visibility - reloading the layout While there isn’t an in-game way to edit the specific layout of the UI, you can go into a text editor and change the placement and details of the Skyrim mod, with ceejbot explaining how on the mod page. If this Dark Souls UI mod isn’t enough for you we’ve also put together all of the best games like Skyrim you should be playing, alongside the best dragon games that should be on your radar too.
