I wish Lioness wasn't just 8 eps, I want to see Cruz and Aaliyah's relationship grow more naturally. Their chemistry is insane, imagine what we could do with like a 13 ep season or heck 20+ eps like back in the day but I guess that's too much to ask in these times. We can get to know Aaliyah more as a person, and see Cruz get to know her more too and have the attraction and respect grow deeper and in turn watch how that conflict of interest affects more subtle choices in her mission. And Aaliyah, I wanna know her, what life is like without Cruz to shield her from her loneliness and how the violent misogyny in her culture affects her daily life and the way her fiancé and father behave. Less of that military propaganda bs and more getting to know the other characters. Anyway, I can't wait for the finale, but I don't have a good feeling about those two.... Wish I'm wrong though.

I am also anxiously waiting for the finale tonight but I'm so sure it'll end in her death.

Some of it's my own natural pessimism but it's also how much they've foreshadowed it and there not being any other character to kill in a big set piece finale that would show the high stakes but ultimately be expendable to the plot. Because really, what else will Aaliyah's role be after this? Well, lol, I mean, I can see a lot, especially if this season ends with her dad not killed but it doesn't feel like those are the directions in which this show cares about or wants to go.

And that's the thing, right, that as much as we can see that this ship has so much potential, that there's so much more we could have seen, I just don't think that's what the focus has ever been. Like we had the time even in these 8 eps, but we got SO much of Joe's daughter and the mission on the border. It's not about getting to know Aaliyah as a person, it's always been what she serves to show the issues with her culture.

Maybe I'm wrong and I'll absolutely acknowledge it if I am and she survives, but for right now, the person who wrote that torture story in ep 2, who's thrown in little mentions of how fun it is to kill Iraqis, I'm not expecting anything different from him. And it'll retroactively destroy a lot of what I've been loving about Cruz and Aaliyah because it was all in service of this death. They'll have written this charming, complex Arab lesbian who has been so scared to die essentially for BEING one as this sacrificial lamb. If she does die, what does that say?? "See what she could have had with American freedom, but sadly, she's an Arab." Is her story continuing not worth the lesson it'll teach of how destructive that culture is?

Other people don't have to see it that way, I know I'm particularly sensitive to deaths (and obviously the treatment of Muslim lesbians) in a way not everyone is, so I'm not dictating how others should feel, I will just feel this way.

Watching the cracks Otto instigated between them form and grow bigger, them being pushed more apart everytime was torturous, to even think about the first time we saw it happening in episode one and how even then, listening behind the wall, it was clear on Daemon's face he knew exactly what was happening, how he tried to warn Viserys and always stood up against the people causing him harm... It's just heartbreaking. The type of tension that fills the room quietly, the always looming threath that you only realize the harm it has already caused when it's too late.

It was always the three of them against the world and the world did everything it could to turn them against each other (and in the end, didn't succeed).

No but... No one LOVES Viserys more than Daemon and Rhaenyra...

wanting to inform him about what's happening behind his back... but at the same time not wanting to make him fee worse :"(

These two are the ONLY ONES that genuinely loved him, and they loved him so much :"( ...it's heartbreaking :"(

Had Viserys noticed this LOVE all those years ago... he would have made Daemon his Hand, give him Rhaenyra to take to wife, wed them in the tradition of their house, and together they would turn House of the Dragon to its proper glory, make it GREAT AGAIN.

They had all it took, Daemon and Rhaenyra loved Viserys, and they loved each other. They would've been a force no one would dare stand against... :"(

This is so heartbreaking... Viserys was so good... loving... but ultimately blind and easily manipulated... should've trusted his loved ones despite the fact neither Daemon nor Rhaenyra were perfect. But both of them saw right through Otto and the council RIGHT AWAY and wanted to help Viserys not be fooled or misguided. And they had what others surrounding Viserys never had: the undying and deep love for Viserys :"(

As you can probably tell, I lost my mind this episode. I have no words, nothing at all. All I have is my tears. The past two episodes have been the best of the season. Episode 8 was another level.

Oh absolutely. It will... She was denying the return of the Camarilla up until they were literally right in front of her screaming “we are the Camarilla!!” Like... how thick could she get? Alder couldn’t let go of her pride long enough to admit that she hadn’t fully eliminated the Camarilla after all. 

1x06 Thinks it’s “A disturbing new strategy”  for the Spree

1x07 Interrogating Scylla, “How did the Spree find and target the Bellweather Matriline?”

1x08 The entire operation involving the cadets because she thought the Spree had escalated to attacking witches

1x09 “How did the Spree find them before we did?”... “I rooted out the last remaining Camarilla over 200 years ago”

1x10 “The Spree are taunting us... taunting me.”

vs. 1x10 “Our ancient enemy has returned... the Spree were trying to warn us” *facepalm*

So yeah, when she is confronted with the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” next season... It’s not going to happen overnight. She’s probably going to make some ridiculous requests in order to form any sort of allegiance. It’s going to be really interesting to see who “folds” to whom - The Spree are ruthless and Alder will do anything to maintain control. So I doubt any sort of Pardons would be on the table... but I would guess the Spree wouldn’t agree to anything less. Alder is going to be a stubborn brick for a while for sure. 

Maybe... there will be initial refusal of an allegiance but then one side gets attacked so badly they have to turn to the other for prosperity? I’ll just let the writers do their thing and see where it goes. 

I definitely need some Scylla as Spree forced to work with the Unit during special ops though. I will pay to see this.

I really like the older Bellamy look from S5/6. I think he rocks TF out of it! It's nice to see a more rugged Bellamy for a change. That said: his S4 look was both disheveled and adorable.

Favorite scene of all time:

I have to give this to the "6 years later" reveal in 4x13. They dropped SO many bombs in such a small scene: Clarke's new (badass!) look, the fact that she was still alone after 6 years, and still calling Bellamy every damn day, and that she wasn't actually alone she also has a child that looks suspiciously like a bellarke!baby but wait did she say only 6 years...?

And aesthetically speaking: the framing and shot was absolutely beautiful. Even the details of her tears when she thinks she sees the dropship... It's such a special scene.

Biggest wish for s7: More scenes between the OG Delinquients & new earthkru group: I want that 'S1 found family vibe' all season long. And I want our faves to get a chance to be happy.

And I want new outfits, again, for everybody. Aesthetically speaking 😉
