Me with the Spear-verse to be entirely honest.

Scamper and Spear hold to their positions as they examine the scene before them. There, lying in the snow, was an adult female light fury. Already cold, the boys knew that she was long gone, deep red bleeding color into the snow that covered most of her body. She must have been attacked by another dragon or animal and managed to come this far before ultimately losing her battle with her wounds.

This, however is not what held the furies' attention captive. Instead, it was the small figure that desperately huddled to the corpse's side. A baby. He was small, definitely not old enough to fly, nevertheless survive on his own. He shivered in the cold as snow slowly began to cover his tiny figure. Soon, he'd join his mother.

This fate was never met as the night light approached the hatchling, carefully lifted him with his mouth, and carried him away from the tragic scene with his partner by their side. This child would not die in the cold. They won't allow it. He's coming home.

My problem with Ultimates is it tries to suck me in with decent art and making Magneto look as sexy as humanly possible. Like what am I supposed to do with this?

And then like one issue over he's calling Lorna a fat cow and a whore??? Like I'm sorry but Actual Magneto would vaporize this version of himself for speaking to his precious daughter that way.

It would be so fucked up and perfect and would EVERY protective button my Spear boys have. (Not to mention give them a brief heaping dose of existential horror since they've spent the majority of their lives out in nature with fresh air and trees and the ability to hunt and forage.)

thinking about the fact that compared to literally any other single iteration of tmnt, the 2012 boys seems to be the ones who truly never left the sewers not even once ever since they got mutated

meaning that they truly spent the first 15 years of their life underground

When they first get out of the manhole in the first episode None of the brothers show any sign of recognition of their surroundings meaning that none of them, not even once, actually got to go that far

this is cemented by the way they all are actually very excited of what they are seeing for the first time ever at every single step they make (except for raph maybe lmao but i think thats because he didn't want to look silly like his bros)

AND ALSO HOW THEY DON'T RECOGNIZE OTHER FOOD THAT ISNT ALGAE AND WORMS 😭(because of what raph said of not knowing anything better than that) THEY FR SURVIVED WITH WHAT LITTLE SCRAPS SPLINTER COULD FIND AND LITERAL ALGAE AND WORMS. LEO IS SO WORRIED ABOUT MIKEY EATING THE PIZZA

they were so excited about being topside....it was a whole new world for them......

going off topic a bit but this all is definitely another reason on why mikey's relationship with food is the way it is

He literally has so many new possibilities to cook with other ingredients that aren't algae and worms and in this process he ends up making combinations that would make rise mikey cry blood

they were how he made himself useful in his original setting, how he defined himself as soot, and to a degree they were how he could make his mark on the world with a cough and a weak heart.

I love love love black butler on-going fan comics. I feel like they dont get enough appreciation. After working on dead damned & devil for so long, I have to say they're some of the hardest types of fan work to do consistently, and ive got nothing but the highest respect for people who're making serialized works!!!! It was hard to hide how excited he was. He'd been wanting to spar with Paerin since possibly even back to during the Inquisition, and finally he'd gotten his wish. The sound of wooden training equipment colliding reverberated through the Lighthouse courtyard as he and Paerin parried slash after slash. His shoulder checked into the warden, but the other stood firm against Ashe's invasion of Paerin's space.

Breath was warm. His face was flush with excitement. His heart was beating excitedly at facing someone with a similar skill level-- maybe even better considering Paerin didn't utilize magic like Ashe did.

So he needed to even the field even more to have a chance to win.

Ashe tossed his blade between his hands, before continuing to swing at Paerin. His left side was purposefully left open, baiting his sparring partner into taking advantage of the opening. Paerin's blade came in, and Ashe's arm instinctively came up. A wide smirk on Ashe's face as he closed in.

The wooden blade struck true. Pain reverberated up Asheriel's arm from what felt like a bruise-- maybe even a fracture, but it didn't matter. His own blade swiped toward Paerin's leg, and Ashe took advantage of Paerin using his feint to push him onto his back. Ashe surged forward on top of Paerin, wooden blade pressed against his neck.

"Looks like this round is mine-" Ashe teased with a heavy breath and excited look on his face, even if his left arm was shaking from the injury. It's okay. The adrenaline was keeping it numb.

The scowl that opens on Vaggie's face the moment Vox addresses her speaks in volumes of what she thinks of his greeting. It's not even the "bitch" part that bothers her, she's used to that. It's the implications that reflect on Charlie that truly anger her. They can call her every name under the sun, she'll keep her cool if the situation demands it. But insults, even indirect ones, aimed at Charlie? She won't stand for them.

Under other circumstances, she wouldn't have hesitated to at least kick him where it matters...or even better stab him with her spear in a non-vital spot. However, she's supposed to be there for "business".

That doesn't mean that Vox will be spared any of the jabs she'll feel like throwing at him.

"It surely isn't because of your ridiculous face or your fake charisma," she shoots back with as much hostility as she's allowed. "I've been sent to discuss a...work proposition for you."

Which, oddly and worryingly enough, has been Alastor's idea. Just as he has been the one to insist that she went to talk to the Media Demon about it. The radio freak is obviously cooking one of his creepy schemes and she hates that she has no clue of what it might be about.
