fucks me up that conversations are treated like something spontaneous and easy to do?? you gotta say so many words?? in order????? CONTEXTUALLY??? and they also need to have cohesive meaning???? and then they say a bunch of words back to you?????? and those have meaning?????????? and then it keeps going????????????????????????
and you're telling me "overthinking it to the point of paralysis" is the statistically unlikely thingy????? no way.

...*slides five dollar bill across table* Donna/Eileen
!!!!! my fave! lets hope i do this as well as @envydean did for me!also i apologize for this being kind of late i wasn’t on after work so i just saw it!
who’s the werewolf and who’s the hunter
werewolf eileen and hunter donna. eileen was born a werewolf, ad deaf, which many packs might have left her behind for, her pack lives pretty peacefully and they don’t believe in the whole “only the strong survive” thing. they’re a family and they take care of each other. besides, the rest of eileen’s sense make up for her lack of hearing anyway. donna shows up because there have been werewolf attacks in the nearest town, but it doesn’t take long for her to realize it can’t possibly be eileen’s pack. eileen falls for this beautiful human and donna for this surprisingly gentle werewolf and they discover it’s an encroaching rival pack that’s killing off people in town. eileen and her pack help donna take down the rival pack and donna decides to make very frequent stops between hunts to visit and stay with eileen.
who’s the mermaid and who’s the fisherman
mermaid donna! she’d be absolutely beautiful as a mermaid. i mean they both would, but donna, oh man. she strays a little too far from her colony and comes across a boat, which the mermaids are strictly forbidden to interact with. they’ve seen what humans do to creatures like them, like the dolphins and the whales. but donna, ever curious, ventures close and peers over the side of the boat to see a young woman fishing not with a wide and dangerous net, but with nothing but a pole and line, a small bucket in the middle of the boat, probably just catching enough to feed her and her family. donna obviously doesn’t speak a human language, but when she makes a sound, the woman still doesn’t notice her. it takes donna banging her fist on the edge of the boat for eileen to notice and she’s startled into falling right over the edge of her boat. donna swims circles around her excitedly while donna struggles to comprehend what she’s seeing. from that day forward, eileen comes out to the water every day, and donna meets her there, and eileen teaches her sign language so they can communicate. they fall for one another quickly. now there’s just the trouble with that pesky colony rule...
who’s the witch and who’s the familiar
witch eileen! and donna would probably be some kind of dog or wolf familiar. they met when they were very young and the connection was instant. donna maybe rambunctious and goofy, but eileen is the one most likely to lose her head and donna is always there to balance out her magic and keep eileen in control of herself. over the years, their connection has grown, and they find themselves falling in love. eileen’s magic grows stronger the more their connection grows until she’s practically glowing with it. much of the magical community envies their bond.
who’s the barista and who’s the coffee addict
barista donna and coffee addict eileen. donna leaves cute messages on eileen’s cups when she realizes that eileen is deaf, and teaches herself sign language. eileen is so excited the day that they hold their first conversation in sign language that she leans across the counter and kisses donna right on the mouth. eileen is embarrassed as all hell but donna just grins wide and tells her that she’s wanted to kiss eileen the moment she walked in the front door for the first time.
who’s the professor and who’s the TA
professor eileen and ta donna! eileen teaches american literature, donna grades her papers, and donna can’t help but be a little more lenient than eileen would like her to be when she’s giving scores. but donna is friendly and sweet and the best ta that eileen has ever had and soon their grading nights turn into full on dates (though they’d never admit it) until one night a little too much wine is involved and they end up kissing. they both kind of tip toe around each other until one day donna just exclaims how sorry she is but she just really likes eileen and doesn’t want their first kiss to be an awkward tipsy make out session and begs for a do-over. eileen responds by kissing her to shut her up. grading takes a little longer that night, since it includes a lot of cleaning the papers up off of the floor first.
who’s the knight and who’s the prince(ss)
knight eileen and princess donna who desperately wants to be a knight herself. they spend many nights in the training arenas working on donna’s swordsmanship and eileen shows her how to properly ride a horse until donna is just as good as the rest of the knights. they get a little too into their sword fight one evening and eileen knicks donna’s cheek with her blade. it’s a shallow wound, but it’s enough to startle eileen into apologizing profusely, taking donna’s face in her hands and trying to wipe the blood away. if the king or queen notice-- but donna just smiles and, under the light of a bright full moon, leans in and kisses eileen. if the king or queen try to punish eileen, they’ll have to go through donna first.
who’s the teacher and who’s the single parent
teacher donna and single parent eileen. eileen fosters kids, and her newest, kate, gets into a fight at school in donna’s class. donna has to bring eileen in and eileen is furious with kate at first, but donna explains that a boy was picking on kate and kate rightfully reacted by kicking the kid in the balls. donna tells eileen that it was really only procedure that made her bring eileen in, and kate is’t going to be punished for defending herself. eileen is relieved, and they talk for a while that evening and find out that they have a lot in common. that little conference turns into a date, and then another, and soon donna is basically kate’s other foster mom... until kate isn’t a foster kid anymore. they adopt kate and get married and blegh this is so sweet jesus christ who am i
who’s the writer and who’s the editor
writer donna and editor eileen. donna writes nonfiction of the true crime variety, and eileen is so fascinated by it all that she asks to accompany donna to an interview. they have coffee that day and realize that they never really talked outside of their short emails and texts. they decide to meet each other more often, once a month, then once  week, then several times a week, until it’s almost every day and then eileen is spending the night and then she’s moving in and donna’s true crime novels turn into an autobiography about the love of her life that eileen suggests she find a different editor for because when she reads it, she can’t find a single thing wrong with their love story.
these got so long i hope you like them!
send me a ship?
