Madonna aclara "decir que quería volar la Casa Blanca, fue sacado de contexto"

Madonna solo intentaba expresarse en la Marcha de la Mujeres, el sábado pasado. Pero la superestrella levantó una gran polémica con algunos de sus comentarios más apasionados en el evento que se llevó a cabo en Washington.    

Fue porque, además de soltar unas cuantas ‘bombas’, también mostró lo molesta que estaba por los resultados de la elección presidencial.

“Sí, estoy furiosa. Sí, estoy indignada. Sí, he pensado una horrible cantidad en volar la Casa Blanca”, dijo Madonna. “Pero sé que eso no cambiará nada. No podemos caer en la desesperación”.

En un mensaje que envió a través de su cuenta de Instagram el domingo, Madonna dijo que quería aclarar las afirmaciones hechas un día antes.

“No soy una persona violenta, no promuevo la violencia y es importante que la gente escuche y comprenda mi discurso en su totalidad, y no por una frase que fue ferozmente sacada de contexto”, escribió. “Mi discurso comenzó con la frase de que quiero comenzar una revolución del amor”.

“Hablé de manera metafórica y compartí dos maneras de ver las cosas: una era tener esperanza y la otra era sentir rabia e indignación, que personalmente he sentido”, agregó luego la artista.

“Sin embargo, sé que actuar por enojo no resuelve nada”, dijo. “Y la única manera de cambiar las cosas para mejorarlas es hacerlo con amor”.

Pero algunos no ven su discurso como una metáfora. El anterior vocero de la Cámara de Representantes, Newt Gingrich, le dijo este lunes al programa Fox & Friends que la cantante es parte de un “fascismo emergente de izquierda”.

“Francamente, la verdad es que ella debería ser arrestada por decir que había pensado en volar la Casa Blanca”, dijo Gingrich.

Algunos en la izquierda usaron el mismo argumento cuando, en agosto pasado, el entonces candidato presidencial republicano Donald Trump hizo un comentario que muchos tomaron como una incitación a la violencia en contra de Hillary Clinton, la entonces candidata demócrata.

“Hillary quiere abolir, esencialmente abolir la Segunda Enmienda”, dijo Trump en un discurso en Wilmington, Carolina del Norte. “Por cierto, si le toca elegir a sus jueces (en referencia a los jueces de la Corte Suprema), no hay nada que puedan hacer, amigos. Aunque la gente de la Segunda Enmienda, quizá sí, no sé”.

I absolutely hate those pictures that are Utena Screenshots with quotes pasted on them because it is impossible to do an image search for Utena Screenshots and find anything EXCEPT these random ass “trying so hard to be witty” quotes plastered all over them. I JUST WANT THE SCREENSHOT.

Integrity ... I think... I could be wrong... That is one of the reasons I walked out on that play. I feel as an entertainer, we are watched by so many and, perhaps unfortunate, we are followed by most. We shouldn't be, but we are. It's not even just children, adults, too. People will l Iisten to Madonna before Congress (which is very sad either way. I'm sorry Madonna, I like but you made your millions making a sex book and singing about free sex. Nothing one should admire.) We were at war for years, ISIS was chopping off heads and children were dodging bullets to get to school in (insert country name here,) but the talk of the country and others were Kardashian getting Married to West and how they are naming their children in directions. (And it's it me or did they knock those kids fast?) Entertainers are strong influencers. Michelle Obama chose to include celebrity to join her in her education Champaign because she knew high schoolers would listen to them before her... Also their parents would listen to them before her. Trump might be in office, but it is what's on at 8:00 at night that will influence our spending, our behaviors and how we treat each other. The way of our western works at least has changed according to what's on the tele. Thank God for Sherlock or we'd have as nothing but big booty, chain smoking, collagen wearing, cussing bling holding, shorties and beas... You know where I'm going with this. We are being watched and imitated. Like it or not. Yeah, parent groups are irritating when they yell about what is in TV and how it affects their kids and yes they can simply take charge of their own kids' lives and dictate to them not to us. Who put together this program? Really? I'm sorry, I just found out about that. I'm still flabbergasted. Again, in the 80s, big fan of her work. Don't speak for me again please, miss. I mean no disrespect. Back on topic of integrity. The play I went to and left did not honor the integrity of the message. They didn't honor the men and women the sorry spoke of, and most of all they didn't honor the men and women of today of whom needed to be properly represented and shown respect, the respect their ancestors did not b receive as the play presented. However, the director, actors or the producers gave them that respect. They showed no integrity. Their interest was vain. However, in their defense, the people who were dishonored were passive and said nothing, allowing their own voices to be taken from them. They also showed a lack of integrity that will be costly to those who will follow. Integrity is a Value Excellence Happens holds dear. Being human mistakes will be made. We see mistakes in integrity made all the time, but many have v redeemed themselves. We strive to never have to redeem ourselves. But, you are dealing with an owner with a temper though slow. So much easier to be honest than to surprise you all. I am prayerful our company will up hold its value of integrity for without it, the ability to empower others will be that much harder.
