A very nice Illustration Commission drawn by @jorrated. Only Though to ask about posting this several months after this was finished. Anyway I love how Spyro is drawn style-wise a whole lot!! His body and shapes and especially face are just great! And Sparx is perfectly expressive! The environment too with the sky and that ominous purple goop!

My initial request for this was based on a silly joke with my sibling when I was replaying the first game about Spyro thinking it'd be a good idea to taste test one of the many pools of liquid that damage him on contact to find out what it is.

Rora Beckett from my as yet unnamed S6 foursome WIP. The picrew is great but it's limited in terms of hair color and body mods. So I edited it to show Rora's blue twists, nose ring, dimples, and her tats. I guess she's kind of an alt Barbie 😆 When I finished her, I sat back and said, "Wow, no wonder all these guys are fighting over her."

And just for fun I also made Lili Clarke-Reyes from The Sun in My Eyes. I did change her eye color a bit as she has very dark brown eyes.

I just wanted to do a little thank you drawing for everyone who participated in the SRMTHFG Trick or Treat Exchange 2023! I thought it would be fun to pay homage to some of the fun costumes and designs that the participants made for the team in their trick-or-treat pieces. Credits as follows:

It is in fact not, I’ve gotten asked that before in the tags of an art rq once I think ? But nah Ruby Sparks is just straight up my name, after I learned it’s apparently a book and a movie or whatever I spell it Sparx (or sometimes Sparkz)

My concept for King Spyro. He was pressured into taking the role by Warfang elites + citizenry after the war, despite his protests, and unfortunately for him, he’s actually doing a pretty good job despite being a country bumpkin with no governing experience. Despite that, he’s really stressed out, and he recognizes that this job is bad for his health and his relationship with his family, but he can’t really abdicate without leaving a massive power vacuum in his place. Plus, if he leaves, less…moral dragons might fill the role. 

I wanted to originally make his regalia more simple, but then I just kept adding jewelry and wing drapes and chains. Whoops. It looks like it’s literally weighing him down, which is good I guess. He’s learned more elements and his element list at the bottom includes: Aether, Dark Aether, Fire, Electricity, Ice, Earth, Wind, Water, (and potentially Fear, Shadow, and Poison, courtesy of Cynder). Cynder knows more about administration and logistics than he does, and is a big help as his advisor/bodyguard. Sparx is his scribe/poet/herald/court jester, and loves his new important job, but feels guilty about it due to the toll it takes on his brother. Handwriting: Line 1: “Spyro” in Dragon Runes Line 2: ~24-30 years Line 3 (bottom): STRESSED OUUUT!!!
