The Magic in Inspiration & Representation

It's Black History Month! A time where we're reminded to always recognize someone's successes no matter their skin tone and to showcase how black is truly beautiful! Something I enjoy while looking for inspiration is looking at Magical Girl art be it fanart or OCs. It also lifts my spirits when I see art of melanin Magical Girls because they matter just as much. When you have representation in your projects such as animated shows, books, or video games it helps showcase how important it is to feel included and to feel like you're being seen. Everyone deserves to feel magical. Everyone deserves to feel special. Not to mention that is also sparks inspiration. The more people are inspired, the more people want to create characters who are different in personality, condition, and skin tone. Here's some wonderful art of melanin Magical Girls for those of you who are looking to be inspired and amazed!
