Ok, but to answer the question, yes, he does in fact like King Kong, along with many other pieces of human cinema, especially the ones with giant monsters or dinosaurs. wheeljack is always looking for inspiration for new projects/inventions, and being on Earth has provided him with tons of new inspiration.

Hot take but I don’t think that the scene where N and V touched hands and it caused a spark meant that they were “soulmates” or that they were “meant to be” in fact I’d say it’s a prediction of their relationship’s eventual fate

They're essentially and literally Samuel's own take of Dark Energon after finding and absorbing the Dark Spark back when he was still mortal.

It would not only cause him to get even more power for his goals but it would begin to make his body and soul corrupt to the literal cell and touch.

It only got worse (for everyone around him), after Samuel had tore out and absorbed the twitching core of a Solver drone, with mosquitos becoming mutated overgrown zombified abominations after attempting to drink his blood.
