Little Updates! + Music-Fics-Requests

Hello my dear angels, devils, humans and in-between creatures of the day and the night, I hope you are all doing wonderfully :)

So. I'm still behind on my writing/posting schedule because, to put it very mildly, I've been going through a breakdown hahahaha last month, it was my birthday which I don't quite enjoy, and a few days later my dad suffered an accident - and that, my dear cryptids, triggered chaos and crisis in my life HAHAHAHA

I used to be a skeptic of the earth-shattering powers of Saturn's Return when you reach your 30s, but lo and behold, it didn't take Saturn even a WEEK to make itself known

My dad is fine health-wise, but it was quite traumatic for me and I'm still trying to figure things out regarding the repercussions of everything that happened. So, things have slowed down a LOT when it comes to EVERYTHING in my life while I'm trying to put it all back into place.

I'm tip-toeing around the details 'cause I really don't want to openly talk about it, like I said, still going through the motions

I DO WANT TO WRITE THOUGH, I MISS IT.

I've said it before, writing is my therapy. I'm finishing last year's Vergil Halloween special, and I will be posting soon, I hope.

But I've been wanting to do the music writing thing again! SO!

For now, I'm gonna take my last year's Spotify Wrapped playlist as I've done before, but I want to add some songs didn't make the cut last year Ghost I'm staring at you, so I'll just make a playlist for writing here, with a bunch of songs I think would be nice/fun/interesting for the Spardaverse HAHAHA

SO! HOW ARE WE GONNA DO IT?

Just send me an ask, with a number and a character - just remember, I write Dante and Vergil with y/n s/o and Nero with Kyrie.

For now, I'll be doing just the three of them, but if you are an unhinged little fella and suggest something with another character that ends up having an interesting song attached to it, I might write it as well, ask at your own risk *side eyes*

That's it. I just wanna go back to having a little fun with writing again and once I'm stuck again in survival mode after all that happened in the last couple of weeks, this little music game might help ^^

Hope to write a lot more so I can get back onto my bigger projects soon, like Nemesis and Survivor's Blood! I won't give up on them, I just need some ~time~

Into the Spardaverse Day 3: Kaiju AU

Long ago, monsters known as Kaiju roamed the planet. However, they eventually went extinct. Today, they have been reawakened.

-So in this AU Dante, Vergil, and Nero are all kaiju monsters. Their kaiju forms are basically giant versions of their Devil Trigger Forms. Dante and Vergil are around the size of Godzilla in King of the Monsters and Nero is about as tall as Kong from Kong: Skull Island.

-Dante is pretty good around humans. More often than not he just lazes around. If he causes any damage it's usually due to him tossing and turning in my sleep. And yes, Dante still likes pizza. The backstory: Dante had somehow managed to sneak up behind a random scientist guy. The researcher got so scared he threw a slice of pizza (that he had been eating) into Dante’s mouth. And thus, that is how kaiju!Dante developed his love of pizza

-Like Kaiju!Dante is basically a giant pigeon/seagull. If you feed him pizza he’ll just follow you around everywhere. Most research teams have to create rules to not feed him pizza (unless they need to lure Dante to a specific spot; the pizza bills for this team are through the roof)

-Vergil, on the other hand, is a different story. He is a more solitary kaiju, and is very difficult to locate. Though this is probably for the best, as he is often prone to attacking human vessels/towns.

-Fights between Dante and Vergil are known to cause massive natural disasters/collateral damage in the surrounding areas.

-Nero doesn’t get discovered until many years later. In this scenario, Credo and Kyrie have joined a kaiju research team meant to investigate an ancient kaiju nest.

-At some point, Kyrie inadvertently gets separated from the group. To make matters worse, she falls down a hole into a large cave. Fortunately, Kyrie only gets a few bruises.

-Though as Kyrie quickly learns, she isn’t alone. Right in front of her is a massive, blue and red kaiju with bright yellow eyes.

-However, the kaiju doesn’t appear violent. Rather, it looks lonely and somewhat scared. Hesitantly, Kyrie approaches the kaiju and places a hand on its face. Kyrie names the kaiju “Nero”

-So while in the cave, Kyrie and kaiju!Nero form a tight bond (kinda like the Forbidden Friendship scene in How To Train Your Dragon). Eventually, the two make their way out of the cave.

-Also when Kyrie returns to the main camp with Nero she and Credo have a conversation like this:

Credo: “Uh...what you got there.”

Kyrie is holding a canteen while kaiju!Nero is standing right behind her.

Kyrie: “A canteen.”

OK so the idea for this one legitimately came to me in a dream. I am not kidding... It woke me up in a cold sweat.

It's been sitting as a WIP for months now, since I was way too afraid to finish it off. But I realised that this whole Spardaverse week was THE motivation boost I needed to get my butt into gear.

So please, enjoy this sacrilegious monstrosity,,, I slaved over this masterpiece 😂

Want a tattoo? Why not to hire your boyfriend to do your first tattoo? <3 Of course Nero was a bit hesitant. A realistic concern he had; what if they broke up and every time she sees the tattoo made by him, she would always see him. It’s almost like the unwritten rule to not tattoo your bf/gf name on your skin because if you break up... then it’s going to be A Big Yikes. But she was sure about her decision. (And they NEVER break up! This ship will sail forever!!)

Kyrie is a tough girl to take her first tattoo on rib because that's going to hurt a lot!

Into the Spardaverse Day 4: Parent Trap AU

Two eight year old boys arrive at a summer camp.

Dante is a wild, adventurous boy who constantly gets into mischief.

Vergil is a quiet, studious bookworm who acts very mature for his age.

The two could not be any more different.

And yet they are so similar. Both have distinct white hair and blue eyes. Both have the same amulet. Both have grown up with a single parent and have never met their other parent. But it’s surely a coincidence, right?

-So this pretty much follows the plot of the plot of the Parent Trap movie (the Lindsey Lohan version, as I have not seen the 60s version).

-In this AU, Vergil grew up with Eva and Dante grew up with Sparda.

-When the twins are 8 years old, they get dropped off at a camp for the summer.

-When Dante and Vergil meet, they hit it off (literally; every interaction usually ends with them hitting each other with wooden swords or fists).

-After one too many incidents the two are sent to the isolation cabin.

-And just like in the movie, after sharing a series of coincidences, they find out they are brothers.

-So begins a montage of the twins training to be like each other. Examples include:

-Dante teaching Vergil how to smile

-Trying to get the other to change their hairstyle to fit the other

-Vergil trying to get Dante to memorize William Blake quotes.

-Eventually the summer ends and Dante leaves with Eva and Vergil leaves with Sparda.

-Also Mundus is in this in his human from DMC: Devil May Cry (he basically has Merideth’s role from the 1998 movie in being the antagonistic boyfriend that wants to marry Eva; and of course, the twins make it their plan to stop this from happening).

Nerokiri 3/4  Soon after Nero had finished Kyrie's tattoo, he was anxiously waiting for her judgement. For his relief she loved it!
