🌈🍝Spaghetti Sensory Play🍝🌈 🌟Sensory play is really important for young children because they learn through their senses. "Stimulating neural pathways through sensory experiences is a crucial part of kids’ early brain development" (http://kidsfirstcommunity.com/child-development/the-importance-of-sensory-play-in-the-development-of-a-healthy-child/). 🌟Jacob had such a blast playing with colour spaghetti, its such a cool texture, he was so exited to hold it in his hands. He also loved the bright colours and mixing everything. 🎉 #babysensoryplaytime#spaghettisensoryplay

🍝🌈Spaguetti Sensory Play 🍝🌈 🌟"Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates your young child's senses: touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing. Spending time stimulating their senses helps children develop cognitively, linguistically, socially and emotionally, physically and creatively" (www.pbs.org). 🌟What you need: any tipe of pasta, food colouring & freezer bags 🌟Cook pasta, any amount you want your child to play with, there's no set amount here. Do keep in mind that the more colours you want to do, the more pasta you'll need. 🌟While pasta is still warm, place in plastic bag with a bit of water, add food colouring and mix. Start with a few drops of food coluring, see how vibrant the colours are, then decide if you need to add more drops of food colouring. I ended up adding 10-13 drops of food colouring per bag. 🌟Leave pasta in bag while it absorbs the colour, then place in a container/plate to let dry. It doesn't need to be completely dry. I let mine dry in a plate. 🌟I put Jacob for this sensory play activity in the tub, as its pretty messy, but, sooo much fun!!! Kids loovee it!!!🎉🎉🤹♂️🎉🎉. 🌟Have you tried spaghetti sensory play? Did your child like it? 💫Happy Friday!! 💫 #spaghettisensoryplay#babysensoryplaytime#sensoryplayathome#happybaby#makinglearningfun
