Hero!Luffy and a Villain!Law

Luffy who is new on the scene, saving people left and right cause he feels like it, no concept of the system. No concept of the rules heroes have to follow and that they have to answer to the goverment. Its like if the world goverment tried to make him a warlord instead of an emperor in an attempt to control him and are failing in a spactacular fashion. Still they control the news and twist his actions to be on their side

Law never had a chance to be on the hero payroll. His power is valuable and dangerous, but not in a way where it matters if he is conscious. He has been on the run since childhood, hates heroes, and everything world government.

There is a big catastrophic attack, Luffy is there, probably somehow involved in it. Whoever attacked hurt his friends, got way too close to those he loves and the place he calls home. Luffy absolutely fucking up the man, crashing onto the street right where Law is, who is just there helping people.

Law swearing that he is going to have to deal with a goody two shoes Hero.

Then Luffy speaks, something along the lines of 'i will make you suffer, i will destroy everything you got' Luffy listing threats and smiling all the while.

Law *smitten* at the creative description of violence. He looks into Luffy from the meeting, and every recording on the underground is Luffy being savage to anyone who crosses him. Not killing but destroying them to the core. It only happens to be that he has taken out villains so far, but Law digs far enough to see shit the WG covered.

Luffy taking out officials, and every big hero that try to recruit him. Law is now obsessed. Though wonders if Luffy made some deal with the WG. Thats the only explaination why Luffy is still a 'hero'.

He decides to take that risk anyway, and approach the younger man. Coming up with intricate plans to convince Luffy to join him.

Inviting the 'hero' to get lunch in a public place, using his cover as a doctor, thats not much of a cover if anyone thinks about it for give seconds in the usual Law fashion.

Luffy has no idea who he is, ordering the whole menu.

Law sighing, and explaining that he needs help taking out an asshole.

Luffy says yeah, sure, whatever, before Law even finishes that its Doffy and is in the WG.

Luffy shrugs and says he'll do it on tv if Law wants, he bored with being a hero anyway and was gonna destroy the main WG guy eventually anyway.

Law, already smitten, is gone.

Cute and gunho about anarchy? Yeah, yeah, he is in love.

Luffy, on the other hand, is just chilling, not careing. They split ways. Law leaves with the note that he will get in touch. This conversation is recorded since it's a public place.

Which lands Luffy in hot water, not like he cares. Yet instead of targetting him, they target his family, his brothers.

Ace not having the protection of being a hero, but also not a villain. Vigilante that sometimes causes shit but mostly stays under the radar because of Luffy's status.

They arrest him, and equivalent of marineford follows.

Law is the one who helps Luffy out of the situation, helping Ace hide away, and treating the fire user with his power.

Which is what gets Luffy to really look at Law, something he hasnt done. People give him food and ask him for help all the time but someone giving him the same? Rare.

Luffy crashing in Law's apartment while they have to lay low. Usually he would be bored and itching to go fight and fuck up his enemies, two minutes into staying in one place.

Here he watches Law, all the little things, memorizing what the man likes and who he is. In that intense way Luffy used to study people pre-timeskip to decide if they were worthy of being friends. Its a kind of unblinking stare that radiates power and bothers most people.

Yet Law is unbothered, growing up around villains, with Doffy and dealing with men like Kaido. He is used to it.

Which only gets Luffy more fascinated. Law is different than most people. He has that thing Luffy looks for in friends, with the added bonus of approaching him first.

Law falls first, Luffy falls harder. And ofc immediately acts on it in true Luffy fashion "You're my boyfriend now"

Law no hesitation is just "Okay"

They get caught kissing on camera and that is what makes Luffy a villain lol. Everything else can be covered up, but a third gen hero, colluding with a villain.

With Law, who has been a thorn in the WG since he was born as he is a result of some superpower experiment and his blood holds some big secret, some formula they lost and need. Luffy should be capturing him, not fucking around xd

They ofc dont care, take out Doffy and topple the system and are a menace in general.

She’s so talented I bet she’ll have a Tony and an Emmy by the end of the decade and I think she and Rachel Ziegler were easily 2 of the best things about West Side Story she also has a lot of charisma and should host the Tonys annually.

i agree, she and rachel were spactacular. i really hope to see her thrive as she deserves, she's got such a lovely energy about her. i haven't watched the tonys when she hosted but i saw a few clips and she was amazing. really hope to see her in some new musical soon

Day 3 - Smixi to Konitsa

The sun is shining. The view is stunning. John has been cleaning his chain since 6.00. We leave early. And straight up the long hill we came down last night. The views are amazing.

For a day billed as mostly downhill, there is a great deal of uphill.

Coffee in a pretty town square sets us up for the day.

The landscape is jaw dropping. Beautiful forests. Serpentine roads. Myriad hairpins. How to show you when you can't take a hand from the handlebars at 50km an hour hurtling downhill, braking for the next hairpin desperately hoping the cables don't fail.

There’s a moment when we all stop to watch a grpup of large dogs herding a flock of sheep. The sun is shining, They are on the grassy slope or a long mountain valley. The sheep are wearing bells. Time stops. The dogs and sheep are walking on at a relaxed pace. Bells ringing. It is so relaxed. And relaxing. We could have stayed for hours....

Not much further on, at the top of a particularly large climb, we reflect on a couple of dramatic changes in performance in the team and the probable cause.

Alcohol John is back to the climbing form we have come to expect. This is clearly down to his claimed reduction in alcohol intake. Martin too had a go at abstinence but couldn't hold out til the trip, which certainly explains his improved performance compared to last year. He may well have achieved the fastest time up some of the hills - on his electric bike.

Love Andy, by contrast, is a changed man. He is deep in love, which is truly wonderful to see. But this seems to have injured his knee, his back and his mental resilience. The poor man is suffering badly. But we've never seen him happier.

Life's swings and roundabouts.

We arrive at Konitsa and a small contingent of us carry on towards Albania for a bonus loop. Lightning flashes and thunder echoing down the valley. Light showers and one heavy one.Then sunshine again. The weather really has been unpredictable. The landscape has been consistently extraordinary.

Over this year and last, we have cycled the length of mainland Greece - from Nafpaktos to Albania. Up the Pindus - the spine of Greece. Really some of the most spactacular scenery we have seen.

We finish exhausted, low on fuel, but happy to have made it. Lovely hotel. And more food than we can eat at supper - with a proper royalist of a proprietor.

got a not-so-happy anon about this the other day and was going to leave it at that because i couldn’t care less but my ‘eddie doesn’t remember’ fire is thriving today so.

because- this does not completely rule out the possibility of an in-depth Conversation about the shooting. buck remembers - i bet he would like to remember a little less about that day, actually - and wouldn’t it be spactacular to have the shooting (and then the lightning strike) retold by the half of buddie who was just standing there, doing nothing to protect the other? plus, memories can be triggered and this show has played with memory loss caused by trauma before (both in a call and with chimney, who actually remembered everything about his accident).

9-1-1 is also great with the long-lasting effects of trauma. stuff that happened in season 2/3 is back to bite them now - bobby’s family dying in s1 was just brought up the other day, in the year of the lady 2023 !!! -.

so yeah, do with that what you want ig.

i’m just gonna say it. eddie does not remember realizing he’s in love with buck.

“i remember falling and everything got dark. and i thought ‘this is it. this is the last moment of my life’. then i woke up in the hospital.”

he does not remember reaching for buck or asking him if he’s hurt, or even looking at buck and thinking he was the very last thing he was seeing. the very last thing he wanted to see. he does not remember and his trauma is keeping it all locked up. that’s why he started having panic attacks exactly when ana started playing house with him and chris, right after the shooting; she was standing where buck should have been and eddie knew - deep down, in his heart - something was wrong, but couldn’t quite figure out what it was.

(Made a drabble for cops and mobs, enjoy)“Who are you?” Optimus pried his eyes away from the ornate little carving of a panther he’d been examining  “Ex-Excuse me?” He asked, brows knit with confusion as he looked back at the bot behind the desk. A lazy plume of smoke danced in the air from the lit cigar in Megatron’s hand. The bot took a lazy drag of it, his face obscured in slight darkness. However his piercing red optics glowed gently in the shade, tunneling holes in optimus “Who are you? We both know Orion Pax is just a stage name” Optimus put down the panther carving back on the little table he’d grabbed it from “...” He hadn’t planned for this, he half expected to not even make it this far and even if he had he only thought he’d quickly be able to find something that would prove megatron’s guilt and he’d be back in the elite police force. He had not planned on ending up in megatron’s office, the possible kingpin crime lord questioning him over his false identity. Maybe with enough harassing megatron would somehow get optimus to say something wrong...and then optimus might end up dead or be humiliated in front of the elite police force or-  “Cat got you tongue?” Megatron’s voice roused him from his mild panic attack, grounding him back in reality “Come now ‘Orion’ my patience wears quickly and i’m already in a foul mood” He growled, taking a long drag of his cigar Optimus squared his shoulders a little  “Well u-um” He stumbled over his words “I mean y-yes it’s a stage name but uh do you really need to kn-” “What. Is. Your. Name” Megatron interrupted optimus, snuffing out his cigar in the ashtray as he stood up, fingers digging into the very well crafted desk he’d been sat at moments ago. Optimus backed up as megatron slowly approached, flinching as he hit a wall. He panicked, looking up at megatron who currently loomed over him, eyes full of a terrifyingly calm anger, like a seething flame begging to be let go but unable to. “What is with you hesitance pax?” He asked, voice dripping to venom as he leaned in to be eye to eye with him “What are you hiding?” He slammed his hand against the wall next to the terrified bot when he attempted tried to slink away, effectively trapping optimus. Optimus stared into the small burning flames that were megatron’s eyes. The hulking figure of a bot was so close he could practically feel megatron’s breathing. He also smelt two things radiating off him, one was cigar smoke, a rancid potent smell that made his nose crinkle, but a second smell that was much more intriguing. It seemed to be a cologne maybe, a deep, warm smell, comforting but also...extremely sultry. It invaded poor Optimus’s sense of smell, making a slightly blush dust his face. Megatron still seemed displeased with his silence, he opened his mouth to speak but a knock on the door interrupted. He looked down at the blushing mess of a bot and sighed, leaning in and simply whispering “This isn’t over” Into Optimus’s ear before opening the door and leaving. Optimus just stood there for a minute.....before sinking to his knees, burying his face in his hands and channeling all his confusion and embarrassment into a quiet scream
