NASA astronauts return after an unplanned nine-month mission in space.

NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have finally returned to Earth after an unexpectedly extended stay in space.
Originally, the duo planned to spend just a week aboard the International Space Station (ISS) following their June launch on Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. However, due to technical issues, their stay stretched to over nine months.
At last, Williams and Wilmore have splashed down safely, returning to Earth inside a SpaceX Dragon capsule. They departed the ISS at 1:05 a.m. ET on Tuesday, alongside NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov. The four-person team, known as Crew-9, landed off the coast of Florida at approximately 5:57 p.m. ET. Read More.....

Dolphins x Astronauts: The collab we didn't know we needed
A pod of curious dolphins added extra meaning and porpoise to the recovery of Crew-9′s SpaceX Dragon capsule and its four explorers shortly after splashdown. Inside the capsule were astronauts Nick Hague, Suni Williams, Butch Wilmore, and cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, who splashed down off the coast of Florida at 5:57pm ET (2127 UTC) on March 18, 2025, concluding their scientific mission to the International Space Station. Epic images !
The sixth flight test of Starship launched from Starbase on November 19, 2024.
The Super Heavy booster successfully lifted off at the start of the launch window, with all 33 Raptor engines powering it and Starship off the pad from Starbase.
Following a nominal ascent and stage separation. Starship completed another successful ascent. With live views and telemetry being relayed by Starlink, the ship successfully made it through reentry and executed a flip, landing burn, and soft splashdown in the Indian Ocean.
Data gathered from the multiple thermal protection experiments, as well as the successful flight through subsonic speeds at a more aggressive angle of attack, provides invaluable feedback on flight hardware performing in a flight environment as we aim for eventual ship return and catch.
