Camp Race Show Down (CRSD)
Lore at bottom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Red?) Racekid is illegal racer and has been racing for a long time. Not the best but definitely not the worst. Keeps his cool most the time and pulls off a lot of stuns. He will either win by a smidge or be ran off by the cops and have incomplete race / loose. Always finds a way out of whatever pickle he’s in and has funny quip about it. He’s willing to do anything for thrill of the ride, and frequently doesn’t think before he does something. Mainly just doing it because he belives in himself.
Neeancy is flag girl / with Racekid as not a racer but as more of moral support / love interest (??) She is in the car when he races and is back seat driver but she sits in the front. Shes the brains of the operation and keeps him from killing himself. She doesn’t race at all but is there to help with plans and strategy since she’s still really smart and can calculate like the air and shit and how it drags. She can get kinda crazy but Racekid likes crazy so it’s okay , she tells him off when he looses or does something stupid in the race and he just nods because he knows she’s right
Mad Max , sponsor/manager for Nikki . Schemes their way into races and does shit under the table. Wears a nice outfit and tells Nikki to “do what she does best”. Is a Bookie, makes bets on races but will make it in his favor . Has a watch and a bunch of different ids on him.
(Panther) Nikki is a reckless driver , hitting cars with hers and grinding them on walls. Has no fear with racing and having a fun time doing it. Gets hurt and acts like a wounded dog when hurt . Car frequently has to be repaired and it’s a pain in Maxs ass to fix
( Erode )Ered is cool racer who has a low rider with lots of mods. Purplely/pink with yellow accents. It can glow with led lights and shit. Very chill with her riding and doesn’t try to hurt the racers, not out of kindness it just doesn’t benefit her like Nikki. Top dawg with racing and wins against Racekid but there’s no bad blood between them. More of “you did good, maybe you’ll be a good as me one day :p” and she drives off. Plays music while she races .
Sasha races and is sponsor of Erin and Tabii. Will pay people to ruin the race for others and purposely sabotaged people. Has very nice car , not fully made for racing but it’s still really good. Does similar things to max but both don’t like each other because they are “different “ with the way they do it. She wears a helmet and it has a visor on it to keep her safe. Bought all the tokens and has a lot more then everyone else.
Erin is a slower driver then Tabii is, being more calculated and less or a risk taker. She has a dark blue car and focus more on accuracy and consistency then speed. Tabii can get bad road rage and if she looses she’ll be extra nasty next race or even after . Tabiis car is more angular and has white stripes. Sasha is hard on both of them if they loose and are lowkey scared of her.
Dolph is sketch artist and makes posters for the event. You can see them in dark parts of town with the list of racers on them. Anyone can sign up. Hes also been asked by the police to sketch who he though did it but just fucks with them cus snitches get stiches (sketched max as Barack Obama) (Rouge Racer) (Rou)
Harrison owns a “bar” that many kids reside/hang out in to drink juice / caprimoons/ whatever like a normal dingy bar. He looks like a normal bar tender and does this instead of racing. He helped his brother get into illegal racing but got caught by Gwen and David, and got sent home. (And to a boarding school) he doesn’t mess with that kind of stuff anymore but still needed to make a living.
Everyone else bets on the races , they also bet with Max cus he has higher risk/ higher reward . It isn’t legal but none of this is
Instead of getting money for winning races they get arcade tokens to “Charles Pizza Family diner” A family owned restaurant with Charles the Hamster and his gang as the mascots. They like it and that’s all it matters.

what about some sort of buddy cop, same age, enemies to lovers au where obi-wan is a jedi and anakin is a coruscanti detective and they literally hate each other and have no respect for the other (obi-wan thinks anakin is a waste of the coruscant budget and a jedi wannabe; anakin thinks obi-wan is a pretentious space monk asshole)
(anakin has personally arrested obi-wan for speeding three times, drinking in public spaces 4 times -- the public space was a bar btw -- and indecent public exposure once. that last one was, tbh, fair cause obi-wan had his dick out in an alley way lol)
(obi-wan has literally stalked this asshole coruscanti cop off planet before and arrested him in his capacity as Jedi Knight for not using his turn signal when changing hyperspace lanes (once), for podracing betting (3 times), and for possession of a galacticly banned substance (twice))
it's not that they're obsessed with each other, it's just that something keeps forcing them together in the wildest, most unpredictable situations, and it's annoying as hell because they're completely fed up with each other
then the senate moves to have a new task force stood up to solve a series of Force-related crimes in the Coruscanti underworld. the task force would include a representative from the Jedi Temple and one from the Coruscanti guards, obviously. and really, obi-wan and anakin are the perfect choices! they're both highly intelligent, dedicated, trustworthy, and incorruptible.
if only they'd stop trying to push each other off the 51st story of coruscant and actually put their heads together to solve the crime

introducing the unwilling captain of the Dynamos, former Inspector Second Class Lyfrassir Edda!
The AU where lyfrassir tries to hunt the prison mechs down with their shiny new eldritch powers (and a gun) for ditching them while their system was vored by a crusty imperialist’s eldritch sugar mommy.
Unfortunately, they’re not the only survivor of a Near Mechs Encounter interested in finding the crew of the starship Aurora— not by a long shot.

Captain Noble: We worked behind the scenes to keep the peace in the universe-
TB: Oh, so a black ops units! Ooh, I've always wanted to try that.
Captain Noble: wh--no, we weren't black ops.
TB: Ah, so you were mercenaries, I understand now.
Captain Noble: NO! We helped keep peace! We were just discrete about it!
TB, clapping: Ooh, goody, extrajudicial! I've always wanted an excuse to use unnecessary force!
Captain Noble: NO. I, look, we go after bad guys to keep people safe and you get a nice little reward for helping people out.
TB: And who creates the bounties? Now that Earth is gone?
Captain Noble: I do, after careful investigation and public requests for help--
TB: A gang, oh, I haven't been in one of those for ages, this is going to be terribly fun!
Captain Noble: Why do I feel like you are the best and worst option for us--wait you were in a gang?

@aamusedly A cousin for Crow
Sephiroth hadn't seen the other Celestial since he had abandoned the bounty on his head for reasons he still questioned. Granted he wasn't a completely evil man but he wouldn't call himself good or merciful either.
He hadn't expected to see Crow ever again either. It was a massive universe and he had little reason to look for the other. But Crow was hard to mistake for one who was as aware of his surroundings as the swordsman was.
Sephiroth rarely used his inhuman abilities other than what aided him in a fight but that didn't stop him from being aware, at least dimly, of the minds around him. And Crow's was a glaring neon sign.
The question was, why was he here in this back corner of the universe on an even more obscure space station in the middle of no where. Sephiroth finished off his drink with sigh to himself. "You shouldn't be seen here."

@cosmicallyavg okay sorry if you didnt want me to respond but the autism won today and i thought abt nothing but this for like 3 hours so
i think the doctor knows yaz has done/will do the same morally questionable things as her if it becomes necessary? because for her to be self aware about herself, and then also aware of yaz becoming her in a way. she has to assume that its a possibility. and asking her to hold the master at gunpoint is her testing that theory i think. because yaz very well could have straight up not done it but in the end, shes her equal, she admires her (and wants to impress her lets be real), and she has a duty of care. she knows/assumes how dangerous the master is and doesnt want anything to happen to Her doctor if she can help it. theres no use being squeamish weve got the doctor to save.
i hadnt thought of that angle but the doctor consciously sort of testing how much yaz will indeed do exactly as she herself would, and guessing right on that front is so interesting. i was reading 13s comics yesterday and she did it multiple times there too, like delegating to yaz for llittle minidoctor tasks like occupying herself with a victim like she does in witchfinders with willa too, and like just literally going "yaz, go play police at those aliens" (i said "be police" first but 1 no jurisdiction, and 2 for the doctor 'be' and 'play' are the same thing)
and when she gets yaz that gun, it's so interesting bc to me at least it feels like simultaneously theres the power dynamic of doctor-companion where yaz is definitely a step lower like shes not in charge here (compared to later with vinder) but what the doctor uses that power she has to do is to like place some of it in yaz if that makes sense? she's using yaz as a proxy of herself, which sounds bad but i think thats what shes doing?
like guns for the doctor are this visual sign that theyre going against their own principles right? it's not really the violence of guns that the doctor protests bc theyre plenty violent, but it's a visual representation of their principles right? we see this with 10 when he wont take wilfs gun against the master but when he hears timelords are coming he does. 13 being willing to use a gun on the master means shes willing to break her own rules to deal with him (which the doctor always kinda is with them thats part of the problem but i dont think it's in the "i forgive you one more time even though i shouldnt way" this time)
but also! she doesnt touch the gun herself. she orders a soldier thats at her command (actively breaking her own rules) to give it to yaz. ace talks abt this i believe in at childhoods end, to yaz. that like, the doctor is not opposed to violence but they will keep their own hands clean if they can. as opposed to 10 who picked up the gun himself, 13 lets yaz do it. and then later, bc of course the doctor cant shoot people, yaz lets vinder be the one to actually shoot the master.
so 13 is outsourcing her principle breaking wrt the master to yaz, but i think shes aware of it. it's not like letting yaz handle the gun is eschewing her own responsibility, i think she doubles her feeling of responsibility, bc not only is she breaking her own rules, shes making yaz break them too (clara voice: and now youve made me lie! youve made me your accomplice!) which is why it feels so simultaneously like equal and unequal, yaz is both doctor and companion in potd.
(short detour abt what you said abt "theres no use being squeamish weve got the doctor to save" like yeah thats exactly it. i wrote a fic where yaz shoots the master and the doctor is like Why The Fuck Did You Do That bc while she expected yaz to take the gun (bc she would), she didnt expect her to shoot (bc she wouldnt), but that then maybe reveals a sort of distorted image she has of both herself and yaz. bc yaz did shoot, which means the doctor would shoot even if shes so dedicated to the image of herself as The Doctor that she might not realise that she would. and it reveals an underestimation of yazs feelings for her, and her sense of duty, and how far she will go, has gone, to try and save the doctor. the master is a threat, so she shoots (im thinking again of clara and 8x12 where 12 literally offers to shoot missy to protect clara('s immortal soul))
and abt that equality, like, there was this photoset i saw last week of bts stuff from s11 i think? chibnall talking abt the first meeting in the train. which was basically just like that post i made ythat you linked except chibnall was talking abt it from 13s perspective, which i hadnt considered dkdjdjdh
i saw your tags when you reblogged that post and i thought abt them for a bit but didnt respond bc i dont think i entirely agree? theres a definite, like, respect and i think recognition on the doctors side of things when they first meet and she does the thing i wrote abt in that post where she like listens to yaz and then presents her own plan and this first listening to yaz probably fixed a problem they might have had if she had just forcefully tried to push yaz out of the authority position she was in there as a police among civilians, where yaz might have fought for the leadership position the entire rest of the night and maybe rest of their time together (not that thats not also a fun version of events to think about)
anyway to get back to the point, yes theres that respect, and the doctor uses yaz for her skills since the beginnig, but i dont really agree that it's equal necessarily. the power difference is too big and too easily leveraged by 13 for me to call it equal
when it comes to doctor-companion power dynamics the first thing i always think about is the tardis, because it's this really concrete and undeniable representation of that power right? you need this ship and you need this pilot or you are most likely never going home again. thats just like a fact at the foundation of most doctor-companion relationships (excluding companions who have their own means of transport or could fly the tardis maybe like river or romana). im not saying thats on purpose or the doctor likes it, im just saying when youre stranded on an alien planet and theres one person who is capable of making sure you dont die, doug eiffel voice: really really far away from home, then youre not gonna do anything that person doesnt want you to do. or at least youre gonna be hesitant to
so following the big bluish money (tardis), i think the real equality between them finally only really arrives
Tumblr media
here. in their last scene together. where the doctor can say "you know what this means right?" bc yaz already does despite still not being told anything, and yaz can say "lets not say goodbye" bc the doctor is not good at goodbyes and the doctor is both of them
thats what really appeals to me abt writing them post-potd everybody lives happily ever after au, this partnership that we only ever got to see glimpses of. in a version of events where 13 lived after this, we could see what that partnership really would have looked like

#7 for Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan
100 ways to say ILY asks
Modern AU this time. Qui-Gon is a cop, Obi-Wan is a young teen who wants to become one. They are father and son.
7. "I dreamt about you last night."
It's only when he walks into the kitchen, where his dad is sitting at the table with his toast and eggs, that Obi-Wan remembers last night.
He hunches his shoulders, turns away, goes to the counter where the bread, butter and Nutella are all lying open by the toaster.
Words clog in his throat. Apologies mostly. He hadn't truly meant any of what he'd said, he'd just been frustrated and lost his temper and then Qui-Gon had said that...
The air in the kitchen is thick as water, and Obi-Wan finds it hard to breathe. He can feel his dad sitting at the table, quietly turning a page of his newspaper, chewing his eggs. And the hot flush of anger is back, stirring in Obi-Wan’s belly, till he swallows back words that don't come close to an apology, till tears burn at the backs of his eyes.
He tries to breathe, like his dad taught him: in for four seconds, hold for four seconds, out for four seconds, hold for four seconds. Repeat.
He's buttering his toast with a steadier hand, when Qui-Gon breaks the silence.
"I dreamt about you last night."
Obi-Wan starts, then tenses further as the words sink in. Not again, he thinks, so that he almost misses Qui-Gon's next words.
"I dreamt you were on a manhunt with me. Someone had shot the Prime Minister, I think. I was dead for a little while, got... hit by a car? At least you thought I was dead. But I told you to be brave and keep going. And you did. I came back in time to help save your life at the end, but most of the work was yours."
Obi-Wan swallows thickly, and bites his lip. He concentrates on putting lids back on containers, tying up the bread bag.
"It was a good dream," Qui-Gon finishes, with a little sigh.
Obi-Wan takes his plate of toast, walks deliberately to the table. Sits, stares at his food.
"So," he finally says, when it becomes obvious his father is waiting for a response. "The only place I can be a good cop is in your dreams."
His dad makes a startled noise, before his hand holding the fork thumps against the table. "What?! No, that isn't what I meant at all! Why would you say that? I was only trying to... to..."
Obi-Wan sighs. "Trying to what, Dad? I need you to be clearer than that."
A rustle from the paper, but he can feel his dad's stare and when he looks up, he is shocked to see the sheen of tears in Qui-Gon's eyes.
"I suppose I'm trying to apologize," the man says quietly. "What you said last night–"
A stab of guilt, and Obi-Wan says hastily, "I didn't mean it. Or not all of it. I'm sorry too."
Qui-Gon smiles slightly. "It is a poor father who can't know when his son is only speaking from anger."
"I'm right though," Obi-Wan says, quick again. Trying to drive his point home while he's clear headed and not trying to wound, only plead. "You can't protect me from everything. You gotta teach me how to protect myself. In danger, because I'm never going to run from it. I can't. I'm like you, Dad."
His dad blinks, and two tears slip down his cheeks, but he doesn’t seem to notice. Obi-Wan finds himself stuck dumb.
"I know," is all Qui-Gon says. "I know." He takes a breath, smiles like a sunbeam breaking through clouds. "Because in my dream, I looked at you, and you were more of yourself than I had ever seen before. And it wasn't just the uniform." He touches his own chest covered in navy blue. "It was you."
Qui-Gon's watch beeps, and suddenly he is moving, folding the paper, taking the last bite of eggs, standing with his plate in hand.
"Will it be easy for me?" he goes on, above the rattle of dropping dishes in the sink. "No. Will it be easy for you? Also no."
He's grabbing his lunch bag from the fridge, and still Obi-Wan is frozen, heart thundering against his ribs with hope and love.
His dad comes to him, so incredibly tall and strong in his uniform, stoops to kiss Obi-Wan gently on the forehead.
"But can it be good?" Qui-Gon asks, as he pulls back, still bent so their faces are almost on a level. He smiles again.
And Obi-Wan nods. He nods, and can't seem to stop nodding, until he jumps up from his chair, and throws his arms around his dad's neck. Qui-Gon lifts him off his feet with ease, holding him tight and warm, one hand cupping the back of his head.
"It will be, Dad," Obi-Wan chokes out. "It will be good."
"Good," Qui-Gon says, his breath warm on Obi-Wan’s ear. Obi-Wan tightens his grip fiercely.
Only when his dad sighs, does Obi-Wan reluctantly let himself be set down.
"Work hard in school today," his dad says, as always. "Have fun. Do good."
"Do well."
"I meant 'good'."
The exchange is easy and familiar, as is the last quick kiss from his dad.
"Don't die out there," Obi-Wan calls after him.
Qui-Gon pauses, keys in hand, throws a grin over his shoulder. "I'll do my best."
"Me too."
The grin falters, but only a little. "Right answer," he says, and then he's gone, off to save lives.
Obi-Wan stands for a moment in the quiet, before he turns back to the table.
Then he smiles, rolls his eyes. Typical dad, forgetting little things.
He finishes his dad's cup of coffee with his toast. A proper cop's breakfast, he thinks.

An AU where Tintin is a crime lord, inspired by @jerseyhobby 's post here!
Detective Rastapopoulus is one of the most brilliant minds in his department. His talent has been long overlooked due to his status as an immigrant, but when a new teenage menace starts to stir up the streets, Rastapopoulus's knack for digging into the murky depths of the criminal underworld is called upon.
His target is only known by his alias, Tintin. At just seventeen he already has a few bank heists, smuggling operations and a chain of illegal clubs under his belt. He operates like a phantom, making himself hardly known. Those who have had business with him never recall him raising his voice, as he simply does not need to. Manners go a long way, and manners are an effective mask for the brutality required to maintain such an operation.
Few are confirmed to know him personally. He has his beloved dog, Snowy, who has a taste for expensive jewelry, and his right hand man, a pickpocket-turned jewel thief he met in Shanghai. Together they are unstoppable, nothing is outside their reach - and when the Karaboudjan, a large shipping vessel goes missing, along with its crew and captain, Rastapopoulus just knows they are involved. If only he can keep his temper and ego in check, he might just be able to finally put an end to Tintin's reign of chaos, and perhaps earn the recognition he so desperately craves.
I think an AU where Tintin uses his abilities for crime would be an interesting way to see how he's impacted people he's met, so for this take I have only inverted Tintin and Rastapopoulos - Haddock is still an honest man, but his vulnerability leaves him open to being manipulated. He becomes Tintin's equivalent to Allan Thompson, only this time motivated by fear for his life rather than money. Alcohol, threats and his rock-bottom self esteem keep him in line.
Calculus is scammed by Tintin for his inventions, leaving him feeling deeply betrayed as he is someone with strong morals. He vows revenge, his tunnel vision leading him down incredibly destructive paths. He was initially targeted by Tintin because he just seemed naive and easy to exploit, but Tintin severly underestimates him, despite Chang's warnings. Not only does Tintin have the law on his tail, but a mad scientist with nothing left to lose, who has access to devastating explosives.
Chang simply wants somewhere he belongs. Canonically he's stolen from cops before, so there's no doubt that if Tintin dragged him into crime he would follow along - but he may start to doubt if their bond is built more on what he can do for him rather than his value as a person.
Rastapopoulos this time gets to use his cunning to catch a slippery crime lord, but he still has the same shortcomings as his canon counterpart. He sorely craves attention and praise. He has a terrible short temper. He craves power and influence. He starts to use increasingly questionable methods for his investigation, as his higher ups breathe down his neck for being incapable of catching a couple of queer teenage hoodlums.
Tintin himself isn't motivated by money or power, he's looking for thrills and control over his life. Canonically he's rather emotionally shut off, and he's no different here. He doesn't let himself get too attached to anyone else. Unlike canon Rastapopoulos, I can imagine a crime lord Tintin pouring money and resources into communities in need, and opening up spaces for marginalised groups like bars for queer people. He still wants to do good deep down, but just doesn't quite believe he is a good person.

(to elaborate a bit on that, Martyn could be compared to a final season antagonist? he was introduced fairly early on and became a proper threat later, once Tangos bounty got even higher, and that game of cat and mouse Martyn indulges in (with the end goal to catch him once and for all, obviously) quickly became his main motivation. he and Tango are meant to parallel each other in a way; while Tango is loyal to his group of people to a fault and will do everything to prove it, Martyn plays a single player game that even his weird devotion to Ren cannot ultimately change. They physically cant understand each other but will use these single traits against each other to achieve their goals; the very reason Martyn "kidnapps" Jimmy is because he knows Tango will come back for him, and the reason Tango leads Martyns (Rens, actually, but like mentioned earlier Ren is more of a supporting character to Martyn here) crew to callisto for an almost certain death is because he knows Martyn will do everything to finish his hunt, even if the road to it will be littered by corpses.
The reason Martyn is so fun for me, personally, is that he holds no negative feelings for anyone involved; while Tango hates his guts, Martyn finds him generally amusing, because for Martyn no one is enough of a threat that he either cannot deal with himself or make someone elses problem (the very reason he doesnt go for Pearl, really). He truly is a hunter, in a way that no other character in this au is)
talk to me about spacing mining au martyn please plese i want to onow everything about him why is he kidnapping jimmy why is he an antagaonist why is he so handsom
clap alright
Martyn is a professional bounty hunter under Rens command aka he gets sponsored by the government to do his job (he is not a space cop but as far as the wanted characters are concerned he may as well be so if i refer to him as such thats why)
He had a brief encounter with Tango more early on, but for once Tango figures out quickly that this man works for the gov so not much happens there.
Quick timeline later Grian disappears > Scar burns Jimmy's house > Jimmy and Tango travel together for a while > they get separated by a commotion and Martyn meets Jimmy
Jimmy was wearing Tango's coat and since Martyn has already seen it once he followed him and decided to help him out, which immediately gained Jimmy's trust (+Martyn wasn't hiding that he's also from Earth). Now Jimmy basically ended up babbling about his life to Martyn and considering that his family members include someone so wanted as Pearl and whatever he has going on with Tango he's just a great leverage (side note most of the information he shared was useless to Martyn, the man has separation anxiety and the only people he ever speaks to is his family, ex husband and Tango, he just spoke his his heart out)
Also while it's a kidnapping Jimmy doesn't even realize it for the first half and Martyn finds him amusing, harboring criminals is not legal but he doesn't really care so nothing against the guy
Martyn used to be a criminal like many earthians and he ended up in his current work as a rehab thing, he proved himself to be very good at his job and stayed for the money (and ren). Currently he's Ren right hand and does a lot of the dirty work for him. He has his private information network and does things behind Ren's back which he is aware of, but he trusts him and can't quite bring himself to discipline him. One of many qprs in this au they are also not normal but a different flavor. Narrative wise while Ren is in a higher position of power than Martyn he's more of a supporting character for him
Anyways the reason for Grians disappearence is also Martyn and his little schemes, they had a quest with BigB, but the two of them did not trust Martyn one bit and BigB ended up helping Grian get away
Other important note is that Tango and Martyn are opposites in many ways and he absolutely hates him

DPXDC AU: Bludhaven's Hero/ Sugar baby Dick!
For whatever reason, Danny flees to Bludhaven instead of Gotham after something in Amity Park gone wrong, and since Gotham is the next ecto-rich area, Danny avoids that. (And since Bludhaven is supposed to be worse than Gotham,well...)
Danny coincidentally arrives to Blud around the same time that Dick does. Danny does visit Gotham to see his sister as she is registered as Fenton in University.
As Danny is legally registered as a Nightengale, taken under Clockwork's wing, he needs to be surrounded by new people. (Sort of like accidental crime lord Au Danny, but for Bludhaven, but with the violence of threats.)
Most cannon shit happens to Dick, but at some point, Dick starts getting to know Danny. They live nearby to where Dick lives and is an all-around helper to the community.
Danny sort of vigilantes as a cryptid as a back-up for Dick sometimes as good cop, worse cop situation. Danny works as Dick's gear maker, patch up buddy, and informant for Dick's nightly activities.
Danny helps out when Slade threatens to bomb Blud with Chemo, when Blockbuster starts hunting out Dick with Tarantula, when the Court of owls attacks, when *Ric* happens,etc...
In fact, when Tarantula attempts to SA Nightwing, she gets shot through her shoulders so that she can't do this shit again and can't be a vigilante or makes it difficult for her to continue it.
When Dick starts dating Danny, they decide to move in together in Danny's space and use Dick place as a safehouse. Danny also convinces Dick to be a private detective instead of a cop, as he could see it wear him down. Or at least he sees that Dick in Law enforcement is unhappy.
In fact, Dick and Danny only come out to Dick's family after they have been together for a few years, and Dick has Haley and Danny has Ellie after a de-aging and DNA melting mishap.(But, before Bruce kicks it in the time stream)
