Buy Mode ♥ Hide in Catalog

Hello, I’m back! Here is the set of buy mode hiders that I had been working on, but never completed. Despite that, I had made a lot of headway through several of the packs, so I felt like it was a waste not to post them. Hopefully I haven’t missed anything! Please feel free to use this as a base for your own creations, just make sure to tag me so I can reblog you!

Everything is organized into folders so you can easily choose what things you want to keep, and what you want to hide. No more scrolling through huge lists of walls, floors, doors, windows, furniture, clutter, etc. that you don’t use, waiting for it all to load!

But before you download, here’s how to use these files ~

What this mod doesn’t do …

Hide any CC, such as recolors, that use these meshes or files. They will appear as normal.

Delete, hide, or make invisible anything that has already been placed, or is included with premade lots such as ones from the Gallery.

Delete any files from your game or computer. It just hides them!

What this mod will conflict with …

Anything that replaces or overrides the same items that are included in this file.

An easy way to tell if you have conflicting mods is to run the Package Conflict Detector program which will easily tell you if there’s a problem.

How do I unhide something?

Open the .package file in Sims4Studio to double-check it’s the item you want to keep. (optional)

Delete the .package file.

The item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog again.

How do I unhide only certain swatches of something?

Method 1:

Open the .package file in Sims4Studio.

Click on the swatch you want to unhide and click “Remove Swatch” in the upper right hand corner.

Remember to save!

The item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog again.

Method 2:

This method is slightly more complex, but this is normally what I use as it allows me to change the categories, tags, price, etc. on the item as if it were CC. It will appear in your game with the CC mark on it. It also means if you would like to return to hiding the file, you can just delete the cloned file instead of redownloading this mod to get the full hider to use again.

Open Sims4Studio.

Under the “Object” section, select “Standalone Recolor”.

Find the object you wish to keep. You can type the item’s title in the search bar to find it easily. Click the thumbnail, then click “Next” on the bottom right.

Type a title for the .package file and click “Save”.

You will be taken to a screen where you can freely edit the object’s title, description, price, categories, tags, etc. You can delete the swatches you don’t want on the top bar.

Click on the swatch(es) you don’t want and click “Remove Swatch” in the upper right hand corner.

Remember to save!

The cloned item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog along with your customizations.

The Northern Sky, a stranded ship house

Created for: The Sims 4 by Nycaea

The Northern Sky was the pride of her famous captain, the feared pirate Victoria Davies 'The Bloody', and her one true love. Together they sailed the seven seas for many years, braving tempests, boarding ships and hoarding booty under the endless pale blue skies. The Northern Sky was the fastest, nimblest ship over the oceans, and Captain Davies could not admire her strenght and beauty any more than she already did. However, all their long years of happy pirating would come to an abrupt, untimely end, for a fateful summer day, when the vessel was anchored near the shore with the objective to careen, a massive and unexpected earthquake hit inland, provoking violent landslides that isolated the (miraculously intact) ship from the sea. The stranded Lady was never to return to the ocean, and so the crew eventually departed in order to seek their fortunes wherever they might find them. Captain Davies, however, stayed, her heart forever bound to her Lady, and, alone, took care of The Northern Sky until the end of her days, leaving the task in the hands her descendants. The Northern Sky is a ship, but also a fully functional, if somewhat small house, and she's oh so ready to be boarded! Yarrrr! Inside the house you'll find everything a pirate needs: the Captain cabin (bedroom), the crew quarters (living room), the cellar (kitchen) and... don't worry, you won't need to empty your buckets over the ship's rail as you will be able to make use of your own private bathroom when urged by necessity. And, of course, what remains of Captain Davies The Bloody's treasure after passing through so many hands along the years. As a piece of advice, be mindful of it! Many legends still mention its existence and you could be not the only one interested in keeping it for themselves... And so you are to be this proud Lady's new guardian. Will you live up tu Davies's name? Or will you choose to follow a different path? As a note: this construction has been designed for Tail's End (Brindleton Bay), where I believe it makes more sense, but you will be able to place it in any 40x30 (or bigger) lot. I've thoroughly enjoyed making this, so I really hope you enjoy it too! Have fun!

Silver - A New Hair Colour

Silver is part of my Redux palette (which you can find here), but is also available separately.  Silver is a less blue-ish alternative to EA’s white. I create the recolours by mixing two EA's white and platinum, which makes them totally maxis-match. Here’s a comparison picture that shows the difference to the EA colours.

The recolours are available for all adult hair styles, eye brows, and facial hairs, including content from updates, the Holiday Celebration Pack, and all EPs, GPs, and SPs.

Introduction. The way Games4theworld packs updates for The Sims 4 is according to major DLC for the game (expansion packs). Each of these torrents also includes a number of minor DLC. You might now be confused, and want to know why there are no separate releases for individual DLC. The main reason is due to technicalities: you cannot easily add individual DLC items to TS4 without causing certain in-game problems such as game freezes at startup. As of currently you have to add new DLC to TS4, in the form of these packs. The procedure outlined here is essentially a "progressive build-up": the torrents are meant to be applied in a specific order. Which DLC do these torrent packs consist of then? Since The Sims 4 tends to be picked up - erroneously - as "malicious" by many anti-virus programs, you need to make sure to add both the (future) install location of your game as well as the location of your downloads to the "exceptions list" in your anti-virus program. The guide HERE can give you an initial overview of what needs to be done, but depending on which anti-virus software you yourselves are using, you may need to do more research on your own. Don't worry! Even though the game files are picked up by anti-virus software as malicious, the files are completely safe to use! (it’s what we call a "false-positive" warning ). We suggest you add the following locations to the exceptions list in your anti-virus software. Later on, once you installed the game, you may narrow-down the exclusions to only your installed The Sims 4 game folders. But in order to avoid any problems during the download of the games and/or the installation process, it is a good idea to add these exclusions beforehand OR temporarily disable your anti-virus software before downloading and installing the game. C:\Program Files (x86)\ C:\Program Files\ C:\Users\(your username)\Downloads\ (Important: If you add this location to the exclusions, make sure that you REMOVE it from the exceptions list after installing the game!) 02.) Download and install Games4theworld's version of The Sims 4 base game, which you can find along all other Games4theworld releases, on the Forum announcement here (we recommend using the "mirror links" to fetch the torrents, as the official website is not regularly being updated anymore). http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/downloads-f1/where-to-find-games4theworld-downloads-t53.htm If you would like to learn about the compatibility of Origin-basegames of The Sims 4, with these DLC, please see the last paragraph of this guide here, under #9. If you find you are having difficulties with installing the base game on your C: drive due to limited filespace, check this tutorial here! Also note that as of currently (patch version 1.41.42.1020, after installing all available packs), the total filesize of your The Sims 4 installation will make up approximately 26.6 GB. 03.) Now, download and install the The Sims 4: Get to Work expansion pack.

04.) Next, download and install the The Sims 4: Get Together expansion pack.

05.) Download and install the The Sims 4: City Living expansion pack. 06.) Download and install the torrent The Sims 4: Toddlers, Vampires & Bowling Stuff. Keep in mind that the name of the actual archive file (after you download the torrent) is The Sims 4 Update v1.29.69.1020.zip. 07.) After you installed the 'Toddler'-update, please go under the folder of where you installed your The Sims 4 game to. You will see a "Game"-folder. You should now rename the folder, into anything you like. For example, Game_ (see the screenshot below). Alternatively you can also move out the "Game"-folder, or delete it. After doing so, you have two choices.  You can either leave this "Game"-folder renamed in the way it is (Game_), and follow the remaining steps of the guide.  Or you can download the fixed "Game"-folder for Toddlers/Vampires/Bowling. Place the folder simply inside the installation "The Sims 4". If you download this fixed folder, you can play the game as is, with just Toddlers/Vampires/Bowling.

If you want to play the DLC that were released after Toddlers/Vampires/Bowling you must follow the remaining steps of this guide either way, regardless which of the two aforementioned choices you make!

08.) Download and install the torrent The Sims 4: Parenthood. If you want to play just with the Parenthood DLC, and not with the remaining DLC stated in this guide, we strongly suggest you download and apply the 1.30.105.1010 game update, to fix some bugs. If you still want more DLC, skip using the 1.30.105.1010 update and go ahead with step #9. 09.) You should now apply the torrent The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff.

10.) Download and install the torrent The Sims 4: Toddlers Stuff. If you just want to play with the Toddlers Stuff DLC, and your game starts up with Error Code 3/in Spanish, please delete the "Game"-folder once more from your install directory of The Sims 4. Download and apply the fixed "Game-folder" for Toddlers Stuff instead. If you still want more DLC, skip using this fixed "Game-folder", and go ahead with step #11. 11.) Download and install the torrent The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs. 12.) Download and install the the torrent The Sims 4: Laundry Day Stuff. 13.) Download and install the torrent The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure.   14.) Download and install the torrent The Sims 4: My First Pet Stuff. 15.) Finally, download and install the Update version 1.41.42.1020.

16.) If you want to use the 32-bit version of The Sims 4, now please MOVE (don’t copy) the “The Sims 4” folder located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\ to THIS location instead: C:\Program Files (x86)\ So your new installation location will be: C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4\ (Note: if you have a 32-bit Windows operating system, this folder will not exist on your system. In that case you can move the folder to this location instead: C:\Program Files\). 17.)  If you want to use the 64-bit version of The Sims 4 (which is only possible if you're using a 64-bit Windows version), we recommend you move the "The Sims 4" folder to this folder instead: C:\Program Files\ , so that your new installation location of The Sims 4 will be C:\Program Files\The Sims 4 . 18.) Done! You now have the latest available working version of The Sims 4, with all Expansion Packs, Free Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs! If you have a 32-bit Windows operating system, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4\Game\Bin and start the game by double-clicking the "TS4.exe" file. If you have a 64-bit Windows version, you can use "TS4_x64.exe" file under C:\Program files\The Sims 4\Game\Bin   to start the game instead. (See step 8 above)

If you want to create shortcuts to quickly launch the game from your Desktop, right-click on the desired .exe file and choose Send to > Desktop (Create shortcut) .

Start the game and… ENJOY playing the latest version (1.41.42.1020) of The Sims 4!

Additional information.

 A lot of people who bought Origin-basegames of TS4 asked us whether it was possible to apply the Games4theworld-DLC of the game, onto Origin-games. As of lately, it does not appear to be possible. We do NOT recommend you apply these DLC, on an Origin-basegame of The Sims 4. This entire guide assumes you are using either the Games4theworld-basegame or any other TS4 basegame from RELOADED. However, you can still download an Origin basegame, and install it "parallel" to the Games4theworld-stuff. You could start this Origin-game, for example, if you would like to get hold of Gallery-items. However, in this case, you should keep in mind that there will be a conflict of userdata-folders under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. A possible way to solve the conflict can be found in this thread here.

In general we recommend installing "all the way" up to the latest available DLC release, at any moment. However, should you not want to install all DLC, it is possible or even likely that you will encounter endless household loading screens, error codes 3, and other issues. This will be the case for example, if you forego step #7 in the above-mentioned guide. To compensate for that, you will need to apply a fresh "Game"-folder, for the latest available patch version. Grab the latest available folder from this tutorial here.
