"I need your help. I'm shit when it comes to buying presents and I can't stand to disappoint my family two years in a row. please say you'll come with me and save me the embarrassment? I know the mall is going to be crowded but I'll literally buy you anything you want. I swear."

"I basically am or I will be if I don't get these presents right this year. you should have seen the look on my mom's face last year when I bought everyone the same socks." she immediately felt the weight ease off her shoulders. "I know, I know, but take advantage of the bribe anyway. the mall is literally going to be crazy and now i'm dragging you into it." she'd easily get whatever she wanted, whether that a coffee or something else. although a coffee did sound like the perfect way to start this trip off as it was going to be a rather long adventure. "I'm like five minutes from your house. come outside in a few. we have to go, go, go!"

"ay dios mio, chica! you can't scare me like that. i thought you were like dying or something." a bit of an exaggeration, though that was her specialty. "take it easy, ro. obviously, i'll go with you!" it rolled delicately off her tongue, sensing the panic from the other on the little device pressed to her ear. "you know you don't have to bribe me, right? i'm still totally taking you up on that offer, though. i hear a matcha latte calling my name." soft laughter erupted from her throat. "but seriously, how far away are you? we need to haul ass or we're going to miss out on the good deals."
