Apparently is NWGA/TN if you try to talk to another gay person they think you're hitting on them. Crazy thing is, you're not. You just thought y'all could be friends. Finding friends in this area shouldn't be this hard and probably isn't for others. Anxiety makes friendships hard, being gay seems to make them harder.

Lonely Gay, Lonely Life

When the day gets quite and my mind starts to spin, I can't help but wonder when the pain will end. To never be loved, to never know loves embrace, and to never find your lovers face. I don't deserve to be loved, that's what they told me. To be gay is a sin and to sin removes the ability for someone to love you. Never good enough, never strong enough, and never enough to amount to anything. For twenty-five years this has been burned into my brain and I can't seem to remove it. They say it gets better, but they haven't lived my life, and they don't know my personal traumas. I'm sure for some the pain goes away, but for those like me the pain never goes away. You feel like you repeal love, relationships, friendships, and anything resembling an unconditional love style of relationship. You do this because you don't know what unconditional love is and you do not believe it exists. I don't deserve love because I'm broken. While I have accepted who I am and live an open gay lifestyle, I do not ever believe I will find love. I don't know if I could trust someone enough to let them all the way in. That vulnerability necessary to open yourself up to love TERRIFIES me. How do I let someone in when I know they deserve more than me? They deserve someone better than me that isn't broken or shattered. They deserve someone worthy of love. I am not that person yet that's all I dream about, but I am not that person that deserves love. I don't deserve to be happy, loved, cared for, and I know that I am no one's soulmate. I am no one. I am no one to everyone.
