AN APPRECIATION POST TO MY FAVE PIG-TAILED GIRLS IN ANIME (in no particular order)

YUU KOITO (Bloom Into You)

Her Deal: The person that Touko Nanami fell head-over-heels in love with. Claimed that she would never fall in love with anyone - but of course you know that isn't true.

The moment when Yuu is starting to 'feel it': During their school's sport fest, at the relay race (Chapter 16 of the manga). The anime made it even more dramatic (Episode 9 - On Your Marks/The Unheard Start Signal), by playing Riko Azuna's "Rise" during that scene.

HINA AMANO (Weathering With You)

Her Deal: Can control the weather. The so-called 'Sunshine Girl'.

The Great Escape: On probably one of the most epic scenes in the movie, Hodaka attempts to bring Hina back to the ground. The things we do for love.

UMI MATSUZAKI (From Up on Poppy Hill)

Her Deal: Raises flags in memory of her father. Does chores in her grandma's boarding house where she and her sibs are staying (read: perfect 'wife' material). The Latin Quarter's saving grace.

That 'fair girl': Umi's raising flags didn't go unnoticed. In the Latin Quarter Weekly (their school's newsletter), a poem about her appeared on its pages. It is written by her eventual love interest, Shun Kazuma.

CHIYO MIHAMA (Azumanga Daioh)

Her Deal: Child prodigy that is accelerated to high school. Class president for 3 straight years. Can do almost EVERYTHING - well, except for sports and tongue twisters (or so she claims).

Peak Chiyo-Chan cuteness: In their Second Year Cultural Festival (Episode 16 of the anime), Chiyo wore the now (in)famous penguin suit made by Kaori to promote their class' Cafe.

HARUKA OGASAWARA (Sound! Euphonium)

Her Deal: Kitauji High School Concert Band President during the series' two-season run. Plays the baritone sax.

The President Breaks Out: On episode 7 ('Station Concert') of season 2, Haruka seeks the support of the band amidst the whole Asuka mess and their Nationals preps. She also slays her baritone sax solo like there's no tomorrow during the band's station concert performance of "Takarajima".

SHEETA (Laputa: Castle in the Sky)

Her Deal: The first of many heroines in the Studio Ghibli catalog.

Heir to the throne: Her full name is actually Lusheeta Toel Ul Laputa, making her the last of the Laputa clan and heir to the famed Laputa castle. That is until Muska shows up.

i dedicate photoseth for Hibike Euphonium 3 beacuse when I saw the opening video of hibike euphonium I was moved, it's nice to see that hibike doesn't forget the companions from previous seasons, hibike doesn't forget all those moments full of unique emotions, thank you so much hibike euphonium for being so great as an anime
