ORV has the most canonical non-canon BL relationship, period. It ain’t even queerbaiting at this point, it’s trusting that their readers can read the room, lol.

It’s romantic in my favorite way; their love shows, not tells. And oh boy do they show it!

- The smarmy rat bastard that is KDJ proving his only goal from the very start was to lead YJH to a happy ending, at whatever cost to himself. He gives and gives and gives, and his only desire, is to see YJH happy (0th turn!! 1863rd turn!!! KILLING ME OH SO SWEETLY).

- 0th turn : [The Demon King of Salvation says that this is the story he had wanted to see all along] !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LIKE A LOT IS SAID ABOUT “TELL ME YOU FOOL” (as it should) BUT THIS IS SUPER ROMANTIC TOO???

- YJH being drawn to KDJ so hard and fast that despite himself, despite having loved and lost over two lifetimes (lol), despite only knowing KDJ for a fraction of that time, he chooses to struggle through *this* life even though he’s in nearly entirely uncharted waters... because he cannot stomach the thought of losing KDJ as a companion in his future regressions

- YJH, at the very very end. He’s finally reached the safety he’d so desperately struggled for for an eternity. He has his family, his friends, the answer he’d set out on his journey for.

But yet he cannot be happy, because KDJ is not there with him. Or, more than that... That 100% of KDJ is not happy. Even Kimcom was (initially) willing to settle for the happiness of the KDJ they knew until it became irrevocably clear that the KDJ they had was disappearing.

So he dives headfirst back into hell, TWICE. For little more than a suicidal mission, for little more than a pipe-dream, he gives up his hard-won freedom and tries to rescue KDJ from his self-imposed eternity.

YJH had a choice in this. He could have settled. He could have said, “this is what KDJ wanted, more than anything, more than himself. I have to honor his wishes”. He could have, or a more rational person would say, should have, looked at the odds of his mission succeeding (near 0??? they were literally just grasping at straws at the end) and chosen the happiness that KDJ carved out for him. But he didn’t!! He literally couldn’t!!

In short : LOOK AT ME IN THE EYES AFTER READING THIS NOVEL AND TELL ME THEIR LOVE DOESN’T TRANSCEND ALL BOUNDARIES. THEY ARE EACH OTHERS’ MOTIVATION, DESIRE, HOPE, DREAMS.

the "I'm not interested in men" line debuted in the webtoon newest (still behind paywall) chapter and mfers on reddit are like "hah finally the shippers' dreams are crushed" you Fool, you illiterate buffoon. you Do Not understand yaoi literature like I do and it shows. if the many, many, many novels, mangas and doujinshis that I've read have taught me ANYTHING is the irrefutable fact that this single line is PEAK homosexuality and you Cannot actually prove me wrong
