you watched him have fun and that warmed your heart. he was all giddy and excited, you just didn’t have the gut to go home now.

once he was done and satisfied, he ordered an uber and wrapped an arm around you waiting for it to arrive. your eyes were half closed, nuzzling into him for assurance.

“i’m so proud, you know? thank you for holding on, i really appreciate it. love you” he hummed and placed a kiss on your forehead.

“anything for you. can you scratch my back when we go to sleep though?” you asked, raising your head up. keeho grinned with a nod.

intak bursted out laughing at a joke one of his friends cracked and with a corner of his eye he saw your bland reaction. it was a sign you’re out of your social battery; well, you started feeling exhausted earlier - you became non verbal a while ago and started fiddling with your purse.

one look it took for you two to communicate that you’re tired. you opened your lips to announce it but intak grabbed your hand under the table and let out a sudden, loud gasp that even startled you.

“ah, i forgot i have practice tomorrow. shit, we moved it and it totally slipped my mind… the joke about aliends just reminded me… you know, soul… well, whatever. we’ll keep going, im so so sorry!” he said normally, rubbing your skin and sending his friends an apologetic smile “let’s do this again soon, guys! i had so much fun! let me know when you get home, okay?”

they were not too happy about it but let you go, minutes later you two sitting in a cab.

“you’re crazy” you grunted and pressed a kiss onto his cheek. seeing you a bit more relaxed now was worth it.

“i was getting tired too, either way.”

“and then i won! literally snatched the ball from his hands and–” taeyang was explaining how he absolutely destroyed intak in a basketball game they had recently, when keeho nudged his arm.

“your partner is sleeping on seob. and he’s also asleep” the leader snickered and theo’s eyes widened as he scanned the place in search of you. eventually, he saw you and the youngest asleep on the couch. your head leaning on his shoulder, seob’s head resting on yours. a soft smile formed on taeyang’s lips.

“let’s get them home” he snickered and stood up. guilt washed over him that he didn’t notice earlier.

he gently woke you up, sleepy eyes meeting his. theo tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.

“hi, sleepyhead. sorry for not noticing earlier” he hummed and you just shook your head in protest.

“it’s okay, jongseob is a nice pillow” you snickered and your boyfriend just tsked.

“good thing we’re going home now. i’m a better pillow, actually” taeyang puffed his chest out dramatically and helped you stand up.

“not with that big head of yours, idiot–” the younger’s voice sounded quietly from below.

you really tried to act like you’re not tired, you really did. but shota started showing you his island on his switch and you couldn’t help your eyes from closing a bit. you two ran off to hide your unwillingness to be here – since jiung really wanted to attend this party you just didn’t want to go home yet. since soul also felt a little sleepy and didn’t mind you not talking, you just watched his animal crossing shenanigans.

“here you two are” you heard a familiar voice and slowly looked up to see jiung. he sent you a soft smile and then noticed shota rubbing his eyes. “let’s go home, okay?”

“nooo you wanted to be here” you whined, a small pout on your lips. he shook his head and helped you stand up.

“i’ve had my fun. now it’s time for bed. both of you” he giggled and helped shota stand up too “i feel like a grumpy dad”

you scoffed and pecked his cheek, grabbing the younger boy’s switch before it slipped out of his hand. jiung sent you a warm smile and interlocked your hand with his.

“let’s go then” your boyfriend smiled softly and dragged you to the exit, sneaking behind the crowd. you played along, pretending to be walking on your tip toes. once out, fresh air made you wake up a little.

“won’t they be worried?” you asked quietly. shota hummed in thought.

“no, i told keeho. besides, we left together” he shrugged and swung your hands a little. the gesture was really precious “do you want to play minecraft when we get home? we don’t have to talk”

He’d forget the idol image for a split second if the host makes a comment/joke towards you basically telling them to back off then slide a little teasing comment towards them.

Theo would definitely be lowkey staring between you and the scoreboard when the winners for MCountdown get announced he knows how hard you and your members work and how long you stayed in the studio preparing for this comeback hoping for your first win (mostly because he promised facetime until you left the studio) When the MC announced your group had won all of piwon and him on their way off stage clapped and as you passed each other you landed a double high five causing immediate panic your members and the rest of piwon following suit and high fiving each other not to make it suspicious.

You both would not even know the other would be in the same variety show and the moment he see you on set his normal competitiveness is getting upped to 100%

to the point where the hosts have to tell him to calm down. He ends up winning a prize and shares it with you as an ‘apology’ for trying so hard but to be fair your annoyed face is just so cute

Intak

You two are paired for a collab dance stage and while filming behind the scenes you two have to turn down the real chemistry you two. You end up taking more of a stern non bullshit persona during the filming leading up to the live performance causing worry amongst fans that the chemistry just isn’t there leaving both of your fans shocked by the actual performance and how sensual the choreography had become now with the lights outfits makeup and the sheer adrenaline that comes with performing with your secret boyfriend. Ending pose consisting of close eye contact with his hand on your back. You spent the entire time in the makeup chair praying that Intak’s muscle memory of groping your ass doesn’t kick in like it did so many times during practice lucky for everyone it didn’t

Shifting around in bed as you bury yourself into the blankets, the switch sitting in your hand lights up. Soft music chimes out as your island comes into view, Animal Crossing displayed. It was just past 11pm, only a few minutes after Soul had sent you a text. 

‘Are you still awake? 〵(•́ ꞈ •̀)〴’

‘Yeah m’ just in bed now, do you have yer key? ♡’ 

‘Yesss!! cya 15 mins ʚ(*´꒳`*)ɞ’

Knowing he probably freshened up at the company you got comfortable checking through your island to pass time. Quiet chimes of the music fills the space as the side lamp gives a warm glow to the room and before you knew it, the telltale sound of keys jingling could be heard.

Footsteps down the hall as your eyes follow a dark spot in the water, trying to get close enough to trigger a fishing event without scaring it off. The sound of footsteps and water splashing rise and suddenly stop as the screen reads out ‘I caught a sea bass- no, wait! This is at least a C+’ making you scrunch your nose. 

As you glare down at the sea bass with terrible puns, Shota stands leaned against the doorframe admiring you. The cute face you're making at the screen, how comfy you look curled up in bed, the light illuminates you so perfectly, gently kissing your skin Shota bites back a wide smile. When you finally look up, locking eyes with him as he moves towards you.

“Hi baby, welcome home.” You whispered out as he settled into bed, allowing himself to get tangled within the blankets and you, throwing an arm over your belly to pull you flush against him. “How was practice? Are the boys doing well?” Shota gave quiet recounts of his day, not wanting to ruin the calming environment you’d had created. He’d talk about funny stories of recording with Theo and Keeho, how Jiung and Intak kept teasing each other during practice, and the new moves he created with Jongseob. You nodded along as you continued your little tasks in the game, Shota watching intently. 

It was only after you finished showing off your latest creation of a heart shaped pond did you notice that he had stopped talking and was watching you instead of the game, making your face heat up at the sudden attention. 

Shutting it down and putting it aside you turn back to him,“What’s up Sho?” Mumbling out as you slide further into the bed, shifting around until you're laid on his chest, leg thrown over his, peering up through your lashes until it’s his turn to shyly avert his eyes away from your stare. 

Nudging your chin into his chest to bring his attention back to you, you ask again, “What’s on your mind baby?”. It seemed so intimate, the way you whisper it, soft eyes looking up at him as he wraps his arms to press you almost impossibly closer to him. “I love you so much.” He says barely above a whisper as he locked eyes with you, a toothy smile spreading. 

A wave of warmth hits you as you bury your face in his chest, caught off guard by the confession. “You can’t just say that all of a sudden…” The words are muffled by his shirt but still causes an airy laugh to escape him. “You asked, didn't you?” Shota said, still amused by your reaction, “I’m just really grateful to come home to you, Y/n.” You could feel his heartbeat under your fingertips, the warm feeling infectious as he pressed a kiss to your temple. “I love you too, my alien.” Huffing out one of his signature noises, you’d smile attempting to echo it back to him. 

A home filled to the brim with warmth and love. Shota runs his hand up and down your back, sometimes stopping to draw patterns on your skin as your palm smooths against his cheek brushing his hair. Eventually your eyelids start to get heavier, as your breathing steadily falls into deep sleep, Shota holds you close whispering out “I’ll love you forever.” before shutting off the lights, joining you in dreamland.

“But why not?” His voice was soft, questioning, completely innocent.

You clenched your fists, trying to keep your resolve. “Because you already had boba yesterday.”

“But this one’s a different flavor…” Soul tilted his head slightly, looking up at you with those ridiculously round, wide eyes, filled with the slightest hint of pleading.

You felt your brain short-circuit.

Not the boba eyes. Not the boba eyes.

Your heart started to pound in your chest, your willpower cracking like thin ice beneath a heavy weight. Soul wasn’t even doing anything special—he was just looking at you, but the effect was devastating.

And the worst part? He had no idea.

You could practically hear the dramatic gasp from behind you.

“You’re joking,” Keeho muttered, staring in shock. “There’s no way this is happening right now.”

Jiung snorted, elbowing Intak. “Look at them. they're about to cave.”

“I bet three boba drinks they’ll say yes,” Theo whispered.

“Five,” Intak shot back.

Meanwhile, you were engaged in a losing battle. Soul wasn’t even pushing, wasn’t even pouting. He was just standing there, soft and quiet, blinking at you with the gaze of an innocent, doe-eyed puppy.

He tilted his head again. Oh no.

Your lips parted, the word forming before you could stop it—

“…Fine.”

The room exploded.

“NO WAY.” Keeho dramatically fell onto the couch.

“Unbelievable.” Jiung shook his head, laughing.

Theo and Intak exchanged looks before Theo sighed and pulled out his phone. “Yeah, okay, I owe you five boba drinks.”

Soul, still blissfully unaware, simply smiled and nodded. “Thank you.”

You groaned, covering your face. He doesn’t even realize.

You were doomed.

You glared at the floor, your brain still recovering from the way you had just folded like a cheap lawn chair. Across the room, the other members were still losing their minds over the sheer ridiculousness of the situation.

Meanwhile, Soul just stood there, completely at peace, as if he hadn’t just single-handedly melted your entire resolve with a single glance.

He tapped his chin thoughtfully. “Strawberry or mango…?”

You blinked, still dazed. “Huh?”

“For the boba,” he said simply, peering at you again with those same big, round eyes.

Your breath hitched. Oh no.

Before you could make the mistake of staring too long, Keeho grabbed your shoulders and physically turned you around. “hey, listen to me,” he said, his voice grave. “You have to fight back. You can’t let him win again.”

“I—I didn’t—” You stammered, face heating up.

“You totally did,” Jiung snickered, nudging Theo. “This is actually hilarious. Soul isn’t even trying.”

“I bet he could get Y/N to do anything at this rate,” Intak mused, arms crossed. “Like, what if he asked them to carry his stuff for a week?”

“Or buy him a lifetime supply of boba,” Theo added.

“Or—”

“STOP,” you interrupted, shaking Keeho’s hands off you. “I am not that weak!”

A moment of silence.

Then, all five of them slowly turned to look at Soul, who, as usual, was just patiently standing there, waiting for you to finish your dramatic internal crisis.

Then he blinked.

And tilted his head.

Again.

You felt your soul (no pun intended) physically leave your body.

“Actually…” you mumbled. “Mango sounds good.”

Chaos. Utter, absolute chaos.

“NOOOOO.” Keeho collapsed onto the floor.

“Oh my God.” Jiung looked personally betrayed.

Intak looked like he had just won the lottery. “Okay, now I’m convinced. Soul has a secret superpower.”

Theo sighed, rubbing his temples. “I’m not even mad anymore. I’m just impressed.”

And through it all, Soul simply gave you the softest, most unbothered smile, completely unaware of the destruction he had just caused. “Okay. Let’s go, then.”

You groaned in defeat as he tugged you toward the door.

You were doomed. Completely doomed.

“Once we get that flint and steel, we can finally go to the nether!” You said excitedly, making your way back to your house in the Minecraft world you had with your boyfriend, Soul. He loved to play in his free time, and luckily for him, you also enjoyed the game. It was a no-brainer that you two would play together. 

You had gotten decently far in your world. You had built a cute little house, with two cats: Kamden and Mackiah. Definitely not named after your boyfriend’s junior group members (yes, yes they were). 

You had just finished a very successful mining trip, which was the last thing you needed before you could finally reach the nether. You weren’t sure what your boyfriend was doing in the world; your best guess was either exploring a desert temple or an abandoned shipwreck. He always liked going on dangerous missions. 

There was nothing that could ruin your mood, though; everything was going exactly how you wanted.

Until you reached the door of your little house. And immediately you heard a soft little click, and then ensuing explosions.

Oh, you were so going to kill your boyfriend.

“What the fuck did you just do, Haku Shota?” You asked, your eye twitching at the ‘You Died!’ screen on your computer, the score displaying only a couple hundred digits. Your mind thought over what you had in your inventory; 3 diamonds from your mining trip, along with valuable loot from skeletons and zombies you had killed along the way. A nice supply of arrows and an extra bow, your iron tools all needing to be replaced after this.

But what pissed you off the most is your cats. How could he have killed Kamden and Mackiah just like that? Did your boyfriend have no heart? 

Soul knew he was partially fucked. It had been Theo’s stupid idea to pull a prank in your minecraft world, anyway. Maybe he could avoid the blame? Then again, he was the one who executed it. Using the skills that he had honed for hours playing the game, making an elaborate explosion completely hidden in your house with ease… just waiting for you to step on the pressure plate. 

And while your immediate reaction did make a satisfied and mischievous smile grow on your boyfriend’s face, it soon dropped. You never used his full name. Ever. Not even once. Suddenly Soul was a bit scared. You were going to extract revenge, no doubt. For the diamonds, and the loot, but mostly for the cats.

You put your laptop down, turning towards your boyfriend, staring incredulously at his blank expression. What was going through his little brain behind those thoughtless eyes? Was he enjoying your pain and agony, or was he regretting his actions?

“Theo.” He said suddenly, avoiding eye contact with you.

“Oh hell no. You are not gonna blame Theo for this, baby.” You were back to calling him baby— that was a positive sign. You grabbed his wrist, forcing him to face you as you cupped his cheeks.

“You’re going to rebuild my house, right? And get my cats back. And the diamonds. I want double the original amount. Double the size of the house, 4 cats, 6 diamonds. Got it?” You were determined, but Soul could still tell that you weren’t that upset with him. It barely took more than 5 seconds for you to calm down, especially when it was a harmless prank.

He made a slightly reluctant villager noise in response, agreeing to your terms. You grinned and pecked his lips before giving him one last warning.

“If I don’t get 4 cats then I’m quitting the world.”

You’re sitting in bed playing a game on your phone at like 11 pm on a Wednesday and you get a text from Shota

Immediately after sending that text, you hear tapping on your window, and of course

“Pleh! Pleh! Pleh!”

Getting out of bed you run to open your window. Seeing Shota standing on the porch roof just below your window.

“Missed me y/n?”

He says before lifting himself through your window into your room before closing it behind him.

“We literally went out on a date yesterday, what are you doing here? You know how my parents are they’ll kill you.”

he stands in front of you with his arms behind his back holding back his smirk leaning close to your face.

“I guess you don’t want to see what I brought you then?”

you cross your arms at him, looking your boyfriend up and down.

“Of course I want to see”

Shota takes his hands from behind his back shoving a Piplup plushie in front of you causing you to gasp softly immediately forgetting any reason why you could ever be scolding your boyfriend. walking forward inching you closer to your bed until you sit down and he sits next to you.

“Is this from the claw machine we played yesterday? That thing was totally rigged how’d you get it?”

You hug the plushie leaning back onto your bed while nuzzling into its face.

“I went back today and played it until I won it. since you wanted the piplup so bad”

you look up at him with a pout causing him to lay down next to you and kiss you on your nose.

“Doesn’t explain why you had to climb on top of my porch and into my room just to give to me”

Shota rolls his eyes turning to hover over your faces inches apart chest separated by the piplup plushie.

“I wanted to cuddle…I knew I wouldn’t be able to get you to sneak out to come see me so I came to see you”

scooting up from under him you move up to your pillows and get under the blankets leaving a spot for Shota.

“fine just take off your shoes before getting up here”

Shota makes a whispered squeal noise while taking off his shoes before crawling on all fours settling under the blankets into your arms head leaning on your shoulder wrapping his arms around your waist.

“don’t forget piplup”

you say placing the plushie between you and shota entangled in his embrace you find yourself drifting further and further to sleep.

a/n: I know Soul's birthday was on Feburary 1st, but I just struggled to finish this off so i'm sorry for the delay and if the ending feels rushed.

Happy birthday to my son, Shota! I hope 19 treats you well, please stay healthy, eat lots of fries, be happy, and continue to out dance the industry!!

A counter covered in various baking ingredients, food color staining your hands, and bowls. Patting your hands against your flour covered apron, you stare down at the cake staring back at you. A simple two tier chocolate cake with a small design on top; a Minecraft creeper standing next to a box of fries. It screamed Shota in ways you hoped he’d enjoy; he’d beam brightly at. 

Glancing at the clock, he should be home in a few minutes. “Oh shit a few-?!” You muttered out, starting to frantically clean the kitchen to make it look somewhat presentable and not the state of a tornado running through the kitchen. 

You were so busy scrubbing your hands to lift the green dye staining your hands that you didn’t hear Shota coming in. He drops his practice bag down on the couch, quietly treading into the kitchen looking for you.

It was an enjoyable day spent with his members, small treats and presents given to him, congratulations and wishes of his healthy and happy years to come. But he had yet to spend time with you. An early morning practice caused him to slip out of the apartment before you would even consider being awake. 

By the time you had woken up, getting rushed away to get ready for work, you barely had a chance to shoot him a text asking if he had ideas what he wanted for dinner so you knew if you had to go grocery shopping on your way home. 

But what he didn’t know was that you had taken a half day off to get all ready for his birthday. Coming home early to ensure you had time to prepare his cake, knowing you weren’t the most amazing baker out there. Stringing up brightly coloured streamers, and lights. A small bunch of wrapped presents lay on the table, adorned with shiny bows.

Shota can feel his heart warm at the sight, a toothy grin taking over his face as he quietly admires all of your hard work.

He wrapped his arms around your waist, resting his head in the crook of your neck. “Green hands?” Muttering out as he feels you relax in his hold. Giggling as green tinted water drips down, “Welcome home Shota.” leaning back to press a kiss to his jawline. 

His smile grows as you turn around in his arms to face him properly. His two-toned hair slightly frizzy, and boba eyes shining brightly as they meet yours. “All for me?” Shota asked quietly, referring to everything you set up. “All for you baby.”

Suddenly feeling a slight embarrassment from the intimacy he dips his head down to rest on your shoulder, holding your waist tightly to press against you in a hug. “Thank you, Y/n.” Your hand brushes through his hair, pressing a soft kiss to the crown of his head. 

“Happy birthday Shota.”
