Satorika is my lifeblood and soul. But because I want to do alot with colors and animation with this one krita is being a bitch and being slow af. This is the first time I've rendered the anim to notice the timing is off in some places but idk if I'm being delusional or what. I hope I finish this because I think I have some good ideas if I can execute it

Sotsu/Meguri Satoko is

Satoko at her darkest. She was from a "Happy End" fragment, but the circumstances of Rika's own happiest ending were very hostile to Satoko.

Rika's happy ending was Satoko's worst nightmare. Two best friends separated by differing points of view. The princess and the black sheep.

Beautifully tragic.

I wonder how Rika views the Looper Satoko. Does she prefer the human Satoko, or the Witch that can understand her experiences? Or does she see no difference between the two?

I know Witchtoko sees her own human self as a separate entity (at least Sotsu does), but Rika might be different in that case.

Higurashi Sotsu/Meguri Random Thoughts#2

Something that brought my attention was a comment on reddit about how witches don't let go of their pieces that easily. It always struck me as odd how eager Eua was to leave Satoko (as in losing an entertainment value) to go back to an eternity of boredom. Not only that, but Ryukishi had stated that Eua was very saddened over the loss of Satoko's memories (aka Vier). So her reason to stick by Satoko should be even stronger.

If my theory is correct on the latest Meguri chapter, then Eua stopped Satoko from ending herself with the blade. Which would be more in line with what I think Eua would do.

Shouldn't Eua be very attached to Satoko to the point of not letting her go in any way? Or am I trying to attach human logic to a witch?

Am I thinking about it the wrong way? Blurp thoughts.

I'm hoping to have a fic basically done tomorrow. It's going to be a Higurashi sotsu/gou Shion fic, centred on two scenes. One will be her dealing with/accepting the idea of supporting Satoko's choice to go to St Lucia, as part of her fulfilling Satoshi's wishes. The second would be a murderer Shion scene that leans on the idea of her having that "Must protect Satoko and fulfill Satoshi's wish", doing murder to protect Satoko.
