Flowers at church looked nice today.
I love this old church. It's hard to find old buildings in California but this one was built in 1903.
Church history (PDF download) from the Chatsworth Historical Society, which saved the building and moved it to its current location:

Riot of Color (streamed on Twitch)
I think I mentioned it before, but these are all based on real skies I have seen in my neighborhood. Needless to say, this sunset was particularly awe-inspiring in real life!

This 1GB mod for Fallout New Vegas brings back NPCs, quests, locations & more that were cut from the game
The Court of Kvatch has released a new version of the Simply Uncut Mod for Fallout New Vegas. This mod, which is 1GB in size, aims to bring back NPCs, quests, locations, items and features that were cut from the game.
There are a lot of NPCs that are back so we won’t be listing each and every one of them. The new quest that this mod introduces is Cat Fight. Moreover, there are a lot of new locations that players can find in the map. Some of them are: Underpass, Vault 24, Cell Block C, Northwest Sewers and Sothwest Sewers.
As said, this mod also brings back some gameplay features. For instance, it restores the ability to reinforce the defenses of the NCRCF in favor of the Powder Gangers. It also tons of unused dialogue, and adds NCR Troopers to populate the casinos on The Strip. Furthermore, it allows players to fix a generator at the NCRCF for Dawes and open a safe that Carter at the NCRCF.
You can download the mod from here. You can also find a complete list there of everything that this mod adds to the game.
Lastly, we suggest using this mod in your second playthrough. After all, the mod will make numerous changes to the game and its gameplay mechanics.
Have fun!

According to the original plan, we intended to take the Route des Grandes Alpes towards Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Val d’Isere at Flumet when coming from Chamonix. Because of the bad weather and the precipitation forecast though, we had to improvise and decided to travel via Albertville and the Col du Galibier, if possible, towards Briancon. We actually made it to Briancon, but not quite as intended …
Zur Zusammenfassung / To the summary Zum ersten Reisetag / To the first travel day
22. Oktober 2017 – zweiter Reisetag. October 22nd, 2017 – second travel day. We left Chamonix after a wet and cold night and hot shower with a good mood, fog and snow showers. Due to a road construction induced deviation we at first had problems to take the road to Saint-Gervais. Over the hills of Flumet and Ugine we reached Albertville. From there, we continued on the A430 and A43 towards southeast. That’s when we had an interesting finding about the seriously expensive French highway tolls. We were actually able to influence the price making correct use of the vehicles air suspension. With pressures of 3-4 bar we were category 3 (more expensive, seemingly due to surpassing the 3m height limit at the rear end of the vehicle), while with pressures below 1 bar, we were only charged for the cheaper category 2. Cat. 3 is about 50% more enpensive than 2 for highways.
Just before Saint-Michelle Valloire we already saw a sign on the highway indicating what we had already expected – the Galibier had been closed on the very same day due to snow. Thus we decided to head on eastwards towards the nearby Frejus tunnel (Denzel code 468 – 1297 m), to still be able to reach Briancon on the same day, taking a short excursion via Italy. The lesson we had just learned about our air suspension really paid off at the payment station of the tunnel and we saved more than Eur 100 as the tunnel tariffs for cat. 2 and 3 differ much more than for the normal highway (Eur 57,60 instead of Eur 158,00 for the single trip – see overview of Frejus tunnel tariffs)
At Olux we then turned towards sothwest, Claviere. Having almost reached the highest point, we were even stopped and shortly interrogated by French border officers. In Montgenevre (Denzel code 491 – Col de Montgenevre, 1850 m), it got once more confirmed how ugly ski towns can be, especially when there is no snow. Accordingly, no photos were taken.
Towards Briancon, you just need to let the vehicle roll downhill. Having just passed the city limit, there is a recommendable camper parking (Parking Champs du Mars, see map below), from which the historic city center can be easily reached on foot. We were lucky as there were still spaces available – so we took one of them. Fee to be paid per hour using the ticket dispenser.

Making use of the remaining daylight, we immediately started for a walk to the city center.

For dinner, we decided for the Restaurant “Le Gavroche”, where we had excellent regional specialities.
