What does the inside of the SINY crews bedroom look like. I'm guessing Dom has a lot of comic book posters in his lol.
Oooh love this ask!
Dom - yep he's got comics/movies/musicals posters, all nice prints and framed and very aesthetic鈩笍; his style in general is very cozy/homy with rustic touches and warm, pleasant colors, dark wood. He's got a bookcase full of books and comics, his walls are a moss green, his bed frame dark wood, he's got some action figures and Star Wars lego on his shelves.
Megan - her room is all pastel colors; pastel blue walls and vintage/retro furniture that ranges from different light shades of blue, green, pink and violet. Lots of plushies and pillows on her bed, bed that has a vintage metal frame. She also found a trunk at a flea market and placed it in front of the bed as extra storage space and because it looks nice. Has a desk with her pc setup, and got one of those pastel, retro blue mechanical keyboards that she's very fond of. She also has a small vintage vanity table she got for cheap and that Zoey helped recondition for her.
Cameron - there's almost no part of her walls that isn't covered. They're were probably some off-white to begin with. They're filled with band/movie/cartoon posters and art prints. Her bed is pushed against a two walls, her cozy nook and lined with her plushies. Very grungy/dark style but with the occasional pop of pink. Has a pick up and boxes of vynils and a desk which is her workbench. Also, has a bean bag in the form of a seal. She's also got all sorts of knick knacks she's gathered over the years, like Gothic candle holders with unlit candles, small statues of bats or black cats, grinning pumpkins, or anything that looked steampunk.
Grey - has a studio apartment so he's living is also his bedroom and his kitchen is open space so it's all just one big room lmao His dream home would be a warehouse home tho, giving industrial vibes. The studio apartment does have a brick wall which kind of swayed him to take it! He's got an extendable couch that doubles as bed, a deep red, old style sofa that's very comfy to curl up in with the cats, furniture is dark browns, grays, some of them that have a sort-of worn out look. He's got a bookcase, a drawer with his clothes, a smaller cabinet full of only magic-related stuff, a narrow desk, a small treecat house, two cat beds and lots of cat toys strewn about. As for decorations, some steampunk inspired ones.
Eva - when she gets her own place, a one bedroom apartment, she goes for dark purple walls, dark woods, lots of purple and violets and with a very lush and glam feel. Chandelier. Vanity table. A full body mirror with a fancy, antique frame, fluffy carpet, framed art prints that are art nouveau or Toulouse Lautrec. Has some house plants and flowers.
Zoey - very bohemian, cozy, colorful. She has lots of plants, especially crawling/climbing plants on her bedroom walls. The walls are a pleasant off white/cream but mostly covered in paintings, pictures, plants or shelves anyway, her furniture is in light woods, she's got colorful plant pots, oranges and yellows are rather prevalent, colorful carpets, framed paintings she's done or photos she took during her travels, usually framed in golden or frames in vibrant colors that matched the picture. Shelves with books and knick knacks like statues and postcards or other souvenirs from where she's visited.
Bill - by his standards, his NY apartment is rather minimalist lol Half of the wall space in his bedroom is just floor to ceiling windows with a wonderful view to the city. His huge bed is set again the window, so when he wakes up he can just turn around and enjoy the view. Opposite there's a huge TV, along another window wall there's a white lounge with a glass coffee table. He's got a cat bed and a cat tree house for his cat. There's a white drawer with golden accents, and full body mirror with a gilded but simple frame and a door leading to his walk-in closet. The color scheme is white, light woods and golden accents. He's got some vaguely artdeco golden decoration on the wall. And a very fluffy white carpet.
Morgan - very English cottage feel. He's got a soft, floral wallpaper, the bed has a dark wood frame, he has a wooden, vintage bookcase with books of course but also decorations, such as the small bird cages he made, either with bird statues or flowers spilling inside, or empty. The general colors are blues, greens, reds, pinks. He's got a small green, vintage writing desk and a wooden closet.
Vesper - Vesper's bedroom, in their dimension, is very lavish. The ceiling is high and painted like the starry night sky, as are the walls. They have a great, golden chandelier, huge bed, double doors. They have ornate, gilded mirrors, and lush settees; soft carpets, carved tables, and floor to ceiling windows that open into their garden.

Jour -40: View of Chicago from Navy Pier鈥檚 Centennial Wheel.
Our last day of the trip was yesterday. We still managed to get lots done!
After checking out of the hotel, we headed into the city one more time. Our first stop: breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast place I鈥檇 looked at wasn鈥檛 taking walk-ins (I should鈥檝e figured, since it was in an affluent suburb at 12:00 on a Saturday, lol). We wandered around the neighborhood for a bit longer and tried a few more similarly-fully-booked places until- hm! Another French restaurant! I promise I鈥檓 not trying to visit every French place in Chicago, but this one happened to be taking walk-ins!
Breakfast was very tasty and filling. My friend and I were seated next to a couple and their young daughter, and we had a nice chat with them. The little girl was adorable; she was about 2 and very talkative! Even though I don鈥檛 want kids of my own, I do like entertaining them a lot. Her mother even had majored in French in college, just like I鈥檓 doing now. One of the things I appreciate about the Midwest and something I know I鈥檒l miss in France is just how talkative everyone is. Here, we make conversation with everyone: the people on the bus, in the train station, at restaurants, you name it. I know Europe is a little different, but I hope I can meet just as many nice people.
After leaving the restaurant we went downtown once again to the Tribune Tower. I absolutely LOVE the architecture on this building and wanted to get a closer look. While I was at my visa appointment on Jour -41 my friend had wandered over to the tower and noticed that it had rocks and stones embedded into the exterior walls from all sorts of cool places, and I knew then that I wanted to see it in person. As we approached, a man and his two sons were standing outside selling candy to support their school鈥檚 basketball team, so we bought some.聽
Walking the exterior of the Tribune Tower was very cool. They had stones or artifacts from all 50 states and some from other countries, too! There was a brick from England鈥檚 House of Commons, part of the Berlin Wall, a stone from where Washington crossed the Delaware, and a piece of sandstone from Arizona! And obviously so, so much more.
We started towards Navy Pier after that. On the way, we stumbled upon a little bookstore and decided to go inside. My friend is a big sci-fi fan so I ended up picking up two suggestions from her (Dune, World War Z), an art-nouveau inspired graphic novel, and then we each chose one awful 50s pulp fiction book for $2.50. They did have a few books in French but most of them were, strangely enough, reference manuals or research works? There was, for example, a book about calculus from 1946, and one dissecting the works of Bernanos. So, sadly, I left without any French books.
We managed to walk in the wrong direction of the pier for probably 35 or 40 minutes before having to loop back around. It was a cold and windy day, but I love the winter so I really didn鈥檛 mind. I did feel bad for my friend, though, who had been having foot problems since the beginning of the trip. I thought I was a good navigator!! Ahh!!
We got to the pier and got onto the Centennial Wheel pretty quickly. While the pier itself is oft considered a tourist trap, I think the wheel is worth the money, especially at sunset which is when we managed to catch it. I took today鈥檚 photo close to the top!
After that we rested for a bit in a nearby Welcome Center, then headed across the river back towards the Loop. On the way across the river we managed to see the Christmas Bus! Every year, Chicago wraps a train and a bus in Christmas lights, decorates the inside, and puts Santa on there every day of December before Christmas! We鈥檇 wanted to ride one of them once we found that out, but never got a chance to. Still, we were very happy we got to at least see the Christmas bus in person.
Across the river we walked into the big 7 floor Macy鈥檚. Neither of us had never been in one of these grand department-store-style versions of the chains before (suburban Macy鈥檚/Dillards/etc are usually only two stories) and wow. They had EVERYTHING from a luggage section to a candy counter to a restaurant! We wandered out into the tunnel leading to the subway briefly to check out an exhibit set up about American stained glass. I LOVE stained glass, so this was crazy cool to me.
Our very last stop was the McDonald鈥檚. I was honestly stressed for the workers, it was so busy and everyone in there was so utterly passive aggressive for no reason. I鈥檝e worked fast food, but never anything that bad.聽
Finally, we got back on the train, waited for the airport shuttle, went back to the hotel to grab our bags, took the airport shuttle back to the airport, checked our bags, and made it past TSA. We bought some candy for the trip and promptly ate it all before boarding, and then we had to sit in the plane still in the gate for an hour longer than we should鈥檝e. Eventually we took off, and my friend and I took turns trying to guess what all the cities and lights we flew past were. Flying at night is so beautiful.
With that, our trip was over. I hope you all have liked this small taste of BVBC, and I hope you鈥檒l stick around for when I鈥檓 in France-- and beyond! I likely won鈥檛 be posting daily updates until the semester starts, but I hope you鈥檒l stick around!
Bon voyage, bon courage !

This was supposed to just be a headshot/bust and simple color but since 1st place in Cerhyn鈥檚 raffle was the only one who got an art gift, and when I saw her character, inspiration just sort of took off. I had to upgrade it to a background and a half body. I wanted to incorporate a hand gesture, flowing hair, and inject some art nouveau theme into it however I am novice in this history of art and style. It gave me a chance to stretch out and try something new and explore different themes, as well as work again with my new Faber Castell ink pens. The flowers are in theme with the character I feel not only because of the color choices used to match the characters palette but its complimentary colors and theme. Since the character is part of a night/dusk (twilight) people I though the frame should have flowers that were known to bloom at night. The top purple flower is a type of water lily, the yellow are common evening primrose, there is also a breed of morning glory, (Despite its name some breeds only bloom at night, or all day long I guess.) and there is a... flower I found that I really liked and I had just sort of drawn it without really thinking. Turns out its tobacco... lol I don't endorse smoking even if I do have characters with this filthy habit. It may look neat for art and movies and media alike for its grit, but in no way shape or form do I think its cool in real life. (Also coming from a heavy smoking family I now have asthma as a result of it.) So I highly discourage its use. Who knew tobacco had white flowers? 聽They look amazingly beautiful though, and it turns out that they smell abundantly spicy and lovely from what my husband tells me. Some things in this world whether or not they hold a negative connotation still have something positive and beautiful to provide. Made with: Faber Castell 4 Pack Ink Pens (India Ink) Grained Sketch Paper (Medium Weight Paper) Crayola Colored Pencils (100 Pack) Colors Used: Black Outer Space Navy Blue Indigo Blue Sky Blue Blue Bolt Wild Blue Yonder Cool Gray Timber Wolf Pale Rose White Almond Sand Apricot Peach Khaki Taupe Unmellow Yellow Daffodil Yellow Lilac Purple Mountain Majesty Blue Violet Violet Cantaloupe Sizzling Sunset Fiery Rose Winter Sky
