Crowley has had Aziraphale's number since the 90's, when phones were still brickish and weird and frankly embarrassing to carry about. In all the time since then, he hasn't texted Aziraphale once. This is a fact he regards with a heady mix of pride, determination and utter desperation. Because Aziraphale texts him, often. Oh, Aziraphale seems to delight in using Crowley's number as some sort of bloody diary, dropping in with random observations and query's Crowley's fingers itched to answer. He never did. To do so would be dangerous. To do so would be taking a step in a direction he tries very hard to avoid and yet manages to fail at all the time. Aziraphale's number is saved as, quite simply "angel". All lowercase, no other personalization. This was because it meant every time Crowley's phone beeped obnoxiously in his pocket, his heart rate would pick up a bit. Mind churning with a steady chant of is it him? Is it him? What's he saying now?
