I know it sounds basic lol, but my family and friends!

Good food! I cannot stop myself from doing a little happy dance (a tiny wiggle really lol) when I’m eating really good food. I don’t know if my sisters and roommate got it from me or I got it from them, but we all do it lol. And my sister’s best friend told her her toddler did it the other day, and we were like, welp, guess we’re children 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

This might be really niche, but I just had a conversation about this the other day, and it really does make me happy: when people in your life have become such a part of your life that they end up making references you make to real-life things they weren’t even there for. Like not like someone who doesn’t know you well just trying to get in on the joke, but someone who does know you well unintentionally adopts it as part of their everyday language because it’s part of yours 😂🥹

Dogs! Dogs make me so happy. And I still haven’t ever had one. It’s my life goal at this point, but I’m still nowhere close, because I keep living with people who are allergic 😔

I know it sounds silly, but Tumblr! It’s the only social media I actually fully enjoy, probably because it’s barely even really social media in the typical sense. And getting to come on here and be an active part of fandoms is so much fun! There’s a big overlap of the TV shows, books, and movies I love with the people I see and hang out with in my everyday life, but there’s also a lot of media I consume that they don’t, so it’s so nice to be able to come on here and interact with people about it! Sexuality Headcanon: I'm so divided on this for Kyle! Really love him being gay, but also I love making like. Every character bisexual for maximum shipping potential- Plus like!! Kyle being a biromantic demisexual makes me so happy :)) He's definitely demi for me no matter what!!! And I think he has a male preference if he is bisexual. I have the headcanon that he actually thought he was gay for a long time because he only really had crushes on his close friends, all of them being guys, until he becomes friends with like, Wendy or someone and realizes "oh shit, I like girls too???"

Gender Headcanon: Another thing I'm mixed on. But I think I'm leaning a binary man (I can see him as both cis or trans) and he doesn't really care about it that much. He seems extremely comfortable with his masculinity which has always been one of my favorites traits he has! Overall I just see him being mostly masculine presenting but not minding being gender nonconforming and not really being super troubled by the thought of gender or gender presentation. Like, oh, his friends are all cross dressing for fun? Sure, he'll join in just for the heck of it. But it's not something he thinks deeply about at the same time, if that makes sense. I like agender Kyle too :)

A ship I have with said character: My favorite favorite favorite ship with Kyle is Stendylenny but to go for more of the popular ones, style and K2 both are pretty good and I think about them often. I love Kyle's dynamic with those two! K2 is always really wholesome and loving and I really like how spicy and complicated style can be! I could go for like an hour listing off rairpairs and crackships I like for Kyle because he's so shippable, but some of my other favorites for him are cryle, kyndy, and one sided kyman

A BROTP I have with said character: Kyndy probably? When I'm not shipping Kyle and Wendy, I love them as best friends. There's this popular trend of them hating each other in the fandom and that's fine but I just cannot see it, they're so alike and they've only ever gotten along, you know? I think they'd be even closer as they got older, especially with how they've both shed a lot of their more toxic traits with time. Idk if it counts but Kyle and his relationship with Ike is also iconic and deserves way more attention.

A NOTP I have with said character: Kymannnnnn I'm sorry lol. Really love it one sided and I have had AUs and stuff where I've been able to stomach them both being romantically involved but overall something about the ship just tends to make me extremely uncomfortable. I can see the appeal but as I've said before, I just cannot fathom Kyle having returned feelings for Eric Cartman unless it was from some sort of fucked up trauma response, which is interesting for plot but if that's as far as it can go for me, I don't think I count as a shipper.

A random headcanon: Kyle has freckles supremacy!!! Also he's autistic and has cPTSD. And he gets a cat at some point even though he's lightly allergic.

General Opinion over said character: Favorite boy love him so much. I want to pick him up and throw him as far as I can

EP - 14 review

I feel like Minchae is the embodiment of the whole fandom rn lol

Sorry bout the late review. I had  an allergic reaction. I was definitely not crying. How dare youeven assume that.

Idk bout you but if i was watching a news broadcast where the anchor and the fencer were clearly  eyefucking each other, i would switch off the tv and demand they get a room. Such disrespect to lonely souls like me is unacceptable.

Julia Ko was a shock to me. I had already anticipated something bad was gonna Happen to Yurim, since she was being too giggly and happy with no mention of their surety. An interesting parallel that i noticed is when they were putting on helmets in Madrid, Yurim’s back was turned to Heedo whereas Heedo put on her helmet looking at her. I’m happy my girl won the gold in Madrid, but it does make me nervous about Yurim’s deteriorating support since she lost.

Now, i’ll shut my pessimist ass up and squeal about the chaos of the squad. Yurim saying she’ll kill Yijin, her oldest friend, her former sponsor if she hurt her new fencer bestie is so cute. You can quite literally see the betrayal in Yijin’s eyes. Yurim and Jiwoong being the only ones relatively sober and watching Seungwan having a mental breakdown, Heedo demanding explanation from an unconscious Baek Yijin with a sharpie mustache- poetic cinema.

But then again, we are yanked back to reality with Yurim’s dad crashing into a car. This puts a major amount of stress on the entire family dynamic, as well as the now added cost of hospital bills along with debt. Yurim witnessing her mom and dad cry was a heartbreaking moment.

i liked how her coach Yang didn’t ask questions. Didn’t judge, just quietly accepted and gave her support and hooked her up with the highest paying one. Did i ever mention how much i love Coach Yang?

Like i said, i have equal love for Yjin/Heedo and Heedo/Yurim. Seeing Yurim come to Heedo, collapse in her arms and confess that she was thinking of diving but hadn’t because Heedo had begged her not to- You can’t tell me they don’t have a deep love for each other. Platonic or romantic, we will never know.

You can see Yijin’s conscience grow guilty gradually. It’s subtle, and starts when he eavesdrops.

Yurim’s parents want her to live a life free from debt. they want her to be their little girl, one who laughs and smiles and brings joy into their lives. They don’t want her to suffer for money like they do. This decision really grates on Yurim, who expresses it to Jiwoong when they get her the cellphone and the music thingie (forgive me i can’t remember). And her standing up and saying she’s old enough to earn money makes them realise that in the blink of an eye, their lil girl has grown up. Truly heartbreaking. even more so when she knows what Yijin is gonna do.

Their last day together is nostalgic and filled with memories of rivalry, friendship and laughter. Which comes to a screeching halt at the sight of Yijin’s news report.

Much like her mom’s report, yijin’s report sends korea into a frenzy, with mutters of ‘how dare she’ and ‘traitor’. This has always been the case. We idolise a person so much that we forget they are human. That they have a life of their own, and problems of their own. Our obsessiveness leads to their downfall, and we expect them to be gracious about it? That’s really fucked up.

Yijin knows of Heedo’s distaste .It is the same she had when he found her in the middle of nowhere, fencing sword in had and tears in her eyes. I don’t know how this will hurt Baekdo, because both of them have good reasons.

Yurim trying to be gracious and asking Jiwoong to move on is such an angsty kdrama trope. good thing my boy doesn’t only shut it down, but also makes her heart flutter even more.

Heedo helping Yurim in escaping the reporters is so fun. I’m truly dreading the repercussions of Yurim losing.

The jajangmyeon owner is the prime example of the regular viewer. A stranger who knows nothing about the personal life of Yurim, but still feels entitled to give his opinion. I have nothing but praise on how yurim handled it. and the subsequent moment of vulnerability when she sobs into Heedo’s arms...let’s just say that dust flew into my eye. Honest. 

Also them sticking photos of each other onto their phones? Like ma’am you both are dating other people.(I would not be opposed to both of you dating tho)

Moon Jiwoong, my smooth af boy. Kiss ur gf so she doesn’t run away with Heedo. (also, i love his frosted tips)

Yijin breaking down in the tunnel with the word “KO YU RIM IS A TRAITOR” written behind? And Heedo arriving like some sort of saviour, armed with a paint bucket and a stepladder? Go Heedo! *tries to do a cheer formation and fails miserably*

The writers constantly have their foot upon our necks, don’t they? whAT DO YOU MEAN CONGRATS ON THE WEDDING YIJIN YOU BETTER BE MARRIED TO HER TF-

The preview eased my troubled soul a little. But come on. Ik the writer lives off  the tears of the watchers. So i’ll keep my angsty theories to myself.

Boo. Another week to wait to find out. And then my weekends will be void of kim taeri’s pretty face. ugh. sorry for the long review. But i swear to god if this ends up like Mr Queen (brilliant drama with a terrible ending), well.... you might release the psycho in the analyser. ;)

Final Thoughts:

As always, I'll bey opinion. Nico and Thomas are so cute, and I'm happy we got to see more of them together. I was also excited to see that we got all of the sides in one video, finally, though I'm still waiting for some onscreen interaction between Janus and Remus. The ending was super ominous, so I'm curious as to what's in store for the future. And as you all could tell, I was clearly very interested in the possibility of being introduced to the orange side. I can't wait to see everyone's theories and such.

Sorry to bother you LOL but I was going through your Twitter and I saw you joking about making an All Might x Reader and my heart burst…. The untapped market of reader ships IMO!!

Like the potential angst of both golden age All Might (your partner taking on the whole world without much thought to himself, the constant struggle between balancing that life and his relationships) and post-AFO, his insecurity and sense of loss and aim in a world he feel he can’t do much for anymore :( also I just like reading about older adult characters haha :)

All Might x Reader 🥺🥺🥺 I’ve said this like, privately to friends before, but the reason I tend to focus my fics on the current generation we get in canon is simply because I’m waiting to see what Hori has in-store for our adults by the series end! The Class-A generation has a lot more leeway, i feel, in fanfiction — a lot more forgiveness — because you can just pick up the story like, ten or fifteen years into the future. Whereas our adult characters have already gone through so much, it makes their arcs a little harder to predict (this is also why I haven’t touched Hawks, despite him being my First Love in the fandom, and it’s a similar sort of way of thinking I have with all the villain characters).

SAYING THAT,,, the jokes you saw me making on twitter are also like, vague threats/promises, because a friend is REALLY into Yagi. 🥺 And I think a Golden Age version of him would be such a himbo LMAO kldfjklsdjf. He’d be fun!!!! Hi. As the person who made me fall into the cockles dumpster I had to come to you for this. A few days ago I made a cockles post and someone sent me a lot of hate. I responded to them and it became so hated and they said some awful things to me. I ended up deleting the post and unistalling tumblr. I am contemplating deleting my tumblr and staying away from all this madness. I suffer from anxiety and this has affected me in so many ways. How do you deal with such people? You never get hate.

First of all I'm glad that you joined us in this dumpster where everything is cockles and nothing hurts, well unless you are allergic to shell fish then I've got to say, stay away, lol, bad joke.

Disclaimer: I am not a certified therapist so my advice is not to be taken as professional help. Be that as it may, the onus lies with me since I'm the one who made you dive into the dumpster.

I have to say that I am so sorry that you are going through all that. No one deserves to make you feel bad about yourself.

I know this fandom can be brutal but you deserve to feel happy here.I will give you a few tips that have helped me stay afloat in cockles bliss in this beautiful dumpster full of rainbows:

DO NOT ENGAGE: I receive hate sometimes, in my ask box and once in a while I will get a comment from a person looking for a fight. The one thing I learned is to avoid such people. They come in looking for a fight and when you engage them, you feed them and give them power. So, don't engage them.

BLOCK: When I joined the fandom in the cursed year of the plague, 2020, I didn't know how Tumblr worked or how things were done around here. So I often ended up in very dark corners of this fandom where some extremely disturbing things were said about Cockles, their wives etc. Can you believe people have entire blogs dedicated to hating on other people? I mean to each their own buts still, that's a lot of hate. I found myself angry at these people all the time and my anxiety spiralled out of control. But I learned a secret, if you don't like something, don't engage with it and block it. So what did I do? I blocked all those blogs and now I don't see unwanted tags. I also avoid certain tags like j/2 or Jared because I don't want to attract anyone that may not subscribe to the cockles camp.

WALK AWAY: Lately I have had to walk away from a situation that didn't make me too happy. I mean when you feel that something doesn't spark joy in you why keep it around? Say you had a bad tooth, would you keep it in your mouth? No, you get rid of it so you can have peace of mind and a good night's sleep. It's the same with people. People who make you feel bad or sad shouldn't be in your life. You can try to talk to them and let them know you are not happy with their behaviour and if they change, then good for you both. If they don't then walk away.

DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY: If it is cockles that makes you happy, post whatever the hell you want on your blog. It is your blog afterall. Can you imagine someone once told me I should stop posting some things about Dean like calling him a slut on my blog. Can you imagine? The audacity!I mean, it's my blog and not a public domain, I can post what i want about Dean. So post about cockles and don't delete your blog because of an internet troll. Keep your blog and whoever has a problem with it can stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

first creation and most recent creation of 2020: god, this feels like ages ago but it was the velvet devil! this wasn’t even a planned fic on my part, but it somehow evolved into the introduction to my shadowfolk universe, which is a universe that i fully plan to continue to explore, and actually do elaborate on further in the next fic i’m gonna mention down below 😂 most recent is untitled. | jjk, which is just a lil thing that i had on the brain one early morning 😂

one of your favorite creations from 2020: definitely without a doubt covenant. my hobifics always have a special place in my heart, and covenant is one that i’ve wanted to write for such a long time (mostly because werewolf!hobi lmao). i originally intended to post it on his birthday, just as i strive to do every year, but this one wound up being two months late. what can i say? the inner perfectionist in me jumped out, ahaha. 

a creation you’re really proud of: is it bad if i say covenant again? LOL. really, anything with ❦ next to it on my masterlist is a fic i’m proud of.

a new style you tried this year and a gifset/fic that uses it: i don’t think i’ve explored any new writing styles this year! had i been answering this last year, though, i would easily be able to say polaris. piecing this fic together took ages, and i literally had physical flashcards that i arranged and rearranged to make sure the chronology was right. 😅 all things considered, i would not write anything like that again, but i’m really happy i didn’t let it fall, unfinished, by the wayside. i’m really quite satisfied with how it turned out. 

a creation that took you forever: LOL. i take months and months to write a single fic. like, what i did this month, putting out both aubade and it takes two, is highly unusual for me. but! to answer the question, clandestine took/is still taking me forever to write. it’s been floating around my brain since 2018, and i’m just now starting to post it after deciding to break it up into chapters, lmao.

your creation from 2020 that received the most notes: LMAO if we exclude this rant post i made about the stimulus bill, then wake up call definitely has garnered the most notes. which.............yeah. that checks out. 😏

a creation you think deserved more notes:  i have to go with apricity! i fell back in love with avatar: the last airbender this year when it was added to netflix, so i just had to write about it.

a new fandom you joined and a creation you made for it: none spring to mind, tbh!

a creation you made that breaks your heart: i’m allergic to sad endings, but one of my favorite pieces that contains angst is crosshairs. i wrote it last year, i think, but i truly loved writing every second of it.

Okay I’m so so so sorry this is maybe like a year late. I, uh, don’t have an excuse. I’ll rec some here, also will link to my list of favourites. I also just like to sort by kudos on ao3 and just go through the most popular fics when I start reading for a new fandom so I also just suggest reading those for “iconic” drarry fics. I am also relatively new to the fandom I’d say, I’ve only been here for a little over two years, so I’m sure I have followers that are more qualified to recommend some Drarry Squad staples (feel free to add to my list! Please actually add to my list lol) These are just well known Drarry fics that I happened to stumble upon and really really love.

Hello! I do have some suggestions, but I will warn you, my list is pretty limited because it’s very hard to find good 911 Lone Star blogs because many are multifandom and harder to discover. Anyway, all the more reason to share what I have.

It’s exciting that you’ve broken from your side blog. I will be stuck here as a side blog forever, which can be limiting, so I’m glad you’ve made the switch. 

I tried to focus on blogs that have recent and consistent 911 Lone Star content, at least during the season, and many of them happen to multifandom so keep that in mind. Many of them also love 911 OG! I’m sure I missed important people I follow because it’s hard to weed through my follow list, so I’m sorry if I do. I’ve also provided some reasons why I love these people, mostly to give these wonderful humans some much-deserved love. (in no particular order just thrown out however my jumble mind sees fit)

First of all, @mybaby-tk, I love your blog and am always glad to see your posts, so you’d definitely make my list of blog suggestions. Lots of good takes. Lots of 911 Lone Star content. I cannot wait for more of your stuff.

@buckleystrand is a must. Some of the prettiest gifs, cute fics that make my heart leap, and just an overall really cool person. I think we’re blessed to have someone so talented in this fandom. 

@evaneddie is the #1 Marjeo fan (and I’m glad about that). They are a great contributor of gifs and also 911 OG content. I’m so glad to see them on my dash and to have someone providing good writing as well as gifs.

@bluestar22x a real fandom hero who always engages with posts. I love seeing this blog and their comments pop up because you always have interesting things to see. Such a great person and has a great tagging system for those who like that kind of thing (would be amazing if Tumblr liked to make tags fully functional haha).

Summary:

My notes: It’s more of a mystery, rather than just angst but it does carry it’s degree of “welp, there goes my heart”. I really enjoyed the ride, and I hope you can give it a try!

iDK what to say besides Hyouga’s involved, and Senkuu suffers a lot omg. It has a happy ending, and there’s lots of comfort, but damn, it gets rough. I don’t want to say anything else in case I spoil it, but I do have to mention:

Summary:

My notes: A rather light-hearted sickfic, in a way. Senkuu gets really sick, but, well, he’s not the only one and he keeps working until he can’t anymore. I really liked how this author stopped to think about real life consequences of waking up in a world that had long since left humanity behind in a way.

Notes: My favorite kind of sickfic probably. Senkuu gets sick and this lowers his normal defenses and he’s actually vulnerable for once. It’s still ongoing, it’s the only incomplete fic in this list iirc, but I have great hopes for it.

AhhH!!! Big hug to you in Argentina. It’s lovely too see where you’re all from! I’m currently studying law but I’m also taking some courses in Philosophy and Psychology. It’s not my dream job but it is what it is and I realize I’m pretty lucky to live in Denmark where education is free. Aside from school and work I play soccer and I’m big into fashion. Tech wear makes my heart go doki doki LOL. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve thought about making a youtube channel delving into fashion but I’m probably the only one into this kind of stuff. Other than that I’m pretty bland and use 90% of my time just hanging out on discord playing and writing with people. Also I love pretty much all food except im allergic to nuts lol but I have a very strong love for seafood and sushi. 

When it comes to writing though it depends heavily what I’m into at the moment but I just love writing. Right now season 2 of umbrella academy just came out so im heavily into that but Hannibal is also my main toast! Sorry for the long reply lol, I’m glad u guys like my writing so much U make me so happy ;u;
