i’m sad and in my head today, can you come fuck the sadness out of me? 🥺
(Oh my god, I didn't know this never posted. I'm so sorry baby.)
Poor baby. I'd make you feel so good and fuck all the sadness up of you. Make you cum so many times that you can even think about feeling sad. Your smile is just so pretty and I'm addicted to it. Need to do whatever I can to make you smile again cause I love it so much.

Sunghoon was drawn to you from the very first time you walked out of the office elevator to submit your internship documents. You seemed aloof until the associate spoke to you and from then on, Sunghoon swore he was hooked. He slowly finds himself glancing at the elevator whenever it opens, hoping he gets a glimpse of you before you enter your little cubicle and dabble in your own tasks.
Jake thinks he's just infatuated. Why wouldn't he? It was apparent to Jake that you had your charm and it was especially effective on his best friend. But his best friend disagrees. Sunghoon believes he’s finally met the love of his life. For sure, the poor IT intern is a mad man and a loser. His knees would buckle whenever you passed by them to grab lunch in the cafeteria with your co-intern, Yunjin, but you don't seem to acknowledge Sunghoon's existence. Yet, he didn't seem to mind. He solely believes that the stars have finally crossed for him and it brought you to him.
Lucky for him, Yunjin was not as dense as you and immediately noticed the young man's overflowing feelings for you. She found it laughable at first how downbad he is, but then maybe that's exactly what you needed—a little excitement, a little thrill in your routinary life. If she can't stop you from your clockwork, maybe a little office romance would.
And so, through Jake, just so she wouldn't excite Sunghoon too much to the point of combustion, Yunjin managed to slip a sticky note with your number and Instagram username. Oh boy, Jake was sure he saw a tear slip down Sunghoon's eye when he handed him the note. God, Jake had to hold his laugh back with his friend’s extreme reaction. He's expressive, he tries to convince himself… nothing's wrong with that.
“Good morning, this is Y/N from HR. Mrs. Lim is asking for a keyboard to be replaced here in the training room,” your voice was static and monotonous over the telephone, yet Sunghoon on the other line was already imploding. It wouldn't be reaching to say he might've peed his pants.
“Coming right up, love,” Sunghoon blurts out before he could second guess his impulsive thought.
“Boy, what?” Jake was quick to hit the back of his head out of second hand embarrassment.
“But my name is Y/N…” you replied innocently, confused as to why he thought your name was love. You said your name clearly, didn't you?
“Yeah, right… Sorry… It kinda slipped, I had a friend named Love and I was thinking of her just before you called.”
“Well I hope your girlfriend is thinking of you too, Sunghoon. Mrs. Lim needs the keyboard to be replaced ASAP. It's kind of urgent,” you replied to him politely, completely not noticing the fact that he just openly flirted with you and failed so miserably.
“You are an embarrassment to this family!” Jake whisper-yelled at him, running hand on his face as he gets up to go to the training room. Sunghoon does not seem fazed by his rizzless attempt to flirt with his office crush. Jake, on the other hand, wants the ground to open and swallow Sunghoon whole so he doesn't have to deal with his cringeworthy attempts to woo you.
“Do you honestly not find him attractive?” Yunjin asked you as she sat next to you in your little secluded cubicle in the corner of the office. “He's tall, and honestly conventionally handsome—c'mon, he's an athlete! He's literally preparing for the national figure skating competition on the weekends as we speak!”
“I suppose he is,” you hummed, seemingly uninterested, while your eyes tunnel vision to him in the training room which you and Yunjin had a clear view of from your little corner. He was fighting with Jake over something about picking the wrong wire. “I guess he's cute. But he has a girlfriend. So, he's not that interesting at all.”
“The fuck you mean he has a girlfriend?” Yunjin asked, appalled at the sudden information, while still keeping her voice in a whisper volume, afraid to attract attention and get a violation for swearing. “That son of a bitch has been flirting with you and I'm finding out that he has a girlfriend? How did you find out?”
“On the phone when I called them over. He thought my name was Love and he said he was thinking of a friend with the name Love. So that friend must be his girlfriend right? If he's thinking of her!”
Yunjin's face falls before letting out a snort that she tried very hard to hide but it turned out to be louder than she thought it would be.
“Miss Yunjin, inside voice please,” your other supervisor, Ms. Hwang calls. Yunjin slaps a hand over her mouth to hold back her laughter.
“Bitch, Sunghoon has been giving you heart eyes since you walked into this office! How dense must you be to not see that he was openly flirting with you?” Yunjin argued in a whisper tone. “I am so done with you!”
“He was thinking of Love!”
“You are Love! He probably made up a stupid excuse because you didn't buy his advance!” Yunjin continued laughing. “Oh my God! Baby girl! Are you okay? Have you ever flirted in highschool?”
“I was homeschooled…” you replied shyly at your lack of experience with socialization. “Family moved a lot when I was a kid.”
“Explains why you're so weird,” Yunjin nodded understandingly. “Doesn't matter now! Do you like Sunghoon?”
“I never spoke to him other than a while ago when I had to ring him up to fix Mrs. Lim's issue,” you replied shortly.
“Ugh! Do you find him attractive?”
“I told you! He can be cute,” you replied, nonchalantly as you slowly transition your focus back to your unfinished task.
“Then text him! I have his number!” Yunjin clapped excitedly, earning another stern glare from Ms. Hwang but Yunjin does not pay her any mind and instead pulls her phone from the back pocket. “Text him! Here!”
You mindlessly copied her actions, unlocking your phone and typing the number from Sunghoon's contact displayed on Yunjin's phone. But as you typed, the same number appears in your suggested contacts.
“Wait? Do you have his number?” Yunjin asked, confused as she took your phone from your hand. “Why is his number named ‘Weird delivery man’? Is he stalking you? Already?”
“No! The weird delivery man keeps sending me delivery notices! I didn't even order anything and nothing ever arrives! I only saved its number to report it to my service provider this weekend!” You explained, taking your phone from Yunjin to show her the messages between you and the weird delivery man.
“What a fucking loser,” Yunjin mumbles to herself as she holds back a laugh. “It is Sunghoon. It's obviously Sunghoon! You don't have to report it. I gave your number to Jake yesterday, that's why he has it!”
“So you're just giving out my phone number out there, Jennifer?”
“I only ever gave your number to Jake and Sunghoon!” Yunjin replied, holding her right hand up to prove her innocence.
“What are we talking about? Why am I being spoken about?” Sunghoon asked, popping right beside your cubicle.
“Why did you pretend to be  stupid delivery man, you idiot?” Yunjin asked him, moving to slightly slap his arm. “You almost got reported to the service provider!”
“Wait, you thought I was an actual delivery guy?” Sunghoon asked, flabbergasted that she bought on to the joke when he only thought she was just playing along.
“You introduced yourself like a delivery man, Sunghoon, what were you expecting from me?” you roll your eyes at me. “You're disturbing my work. Go back to your area now!”
You wanted them out as soon as possible—you were embarrassed, of course! Your heart was beating so fast and it wasn't something you were used to. Is it really embarrassment that got your heart racing? Or was it your first time ever finding someone attractive and then realizing they are into you?
You hated to admit it but you knew deep inside it was the latter. Yunjin would agree.
“You like Sunghoon,” Yunjin happily says before moving to look at her pile of papers to scan on her own.
Just as when you thought your internship term was boring.
 .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
The following weeks were filled with you, Yunjin, Sunghoon and Jake waiting for each other on the way to the office,  before lunch or before going home. It turned out that Sunghoon and Jake live in the same apartment complex as you and Yunjin, just a few floors higher up. So, it was only sensible to just wait on each other and just take one cab instead of going on two different cabs on the way to the office.
You could’ve sworn you were buying your own morning coffee for the entire week. Until you realized you had saved up some money already from Sunghoon buying your coffee before you could do it for yourself. You couldn’t hide the violent blush that rushed to your face when you realized that while you were sitting in your cubicle with Yunjin. You couldn’t calm your heart from racing once again the moment you put in a thought about it.
Sunghoon took the time to note your usual order when you were ordering it for yourself one time and made sure he got the same one every day before you and Yunjin met them in the apartment lobby. He always made sure you were seated behind the driver because not only was it the safest seat to be in, but also he noticed you got motion sickness whenever you sat in the middle seat. He would also drop by whenever he has the chance to the cafeteria before lunch to ask for what would be served for lunch and inform you and Yunjin beforehand, just in case you were allergic or did not feel like eating what was going to be served.
So, yes. You are violently and absurdly blushing over the fact that for once in your life, you are experiencing what it is like to be adored by someone who isn’t a friend or family. While most of the times, you didn’t pay it much mind, due to the fact that you always seemed to be busy getting buried under mounds of papers that needs to be scanned, sorted and filed into very specific color coded folders—now it made so much sense why Sunghoon stuttered whenever you two spoke, because you were gradually finding yourself doing the same way.
“Coffee,” you smiled at Sunghoon, handing him his usual iced americano. The boy seemed surprised that you were earlier than him and Jake without Yunjin to be found anywhere.
“You didn’t have to!” he blushed, a smile growing from ear to ear as soon as he saw the little ‘Good luck with your day’ note you asked the barista to write on his cup. “I was supposed to get your coffee every morning. Why are you here so early?”
“I just thought I should get the coffee this time. Here’s Jake’s!” You smile at him, handing Jake another cup from the carton tray you obviously struggled to hold on your own, leading Sunghoon to immediately take it from you. “Thank you. Yunjin could not be bothered to wake up earlier than she usually does, so I just went and grabbed our coffee on our own.”
Sunghoon couldn’t help but look at you adoringly. You were so… nice and innocent in a way. Over the course of the past few days, you seemed like the person to just mind your own business, succumbing into your own little world. With a little more confirmation from Yunjin, he was able to understand that this has always been the case for you. You weren’t  the best at socializing and it really does take some time for you to adjust to some people. And something about you being so lively and smiley with him and Jake now (compared to your stoic expression when he first saw you) meant too much to him because it was as if you were finally letting them in your little bubble.
“Thank you, Y/N!” Jake happily takes the coffee from the tray. “Yunjin just texted me. She’s on her way down. I’ll go book the taxi right now.”
“I’ll wire you the amount–”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s on me–”
“What? Sunghoon, no!” You argued but your little arguing figure only seemed to bring him even more joy that you were interacting with him more and more.
“You bought us coffee, the taxi is on me this time,” he explained carefully.
Oh boy. You just looked at him, stunned at his soft tone.
“Smitten, I’m telling you. Sunghoon is smitten, and you can’t do anything about it, Y/N. Just let him pay for your taxi. Plus it’s gonna be like you paid for it anyway because you bought us coffee.”
You already felt like you weren’t going to win an argument with the both of them especially without Yunjin’s presence so you decided to just let it go.
 .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
Lunch break came around sooner than you thought as you were sorting through the signed official documents that needed to be filed away in the storage room after lunch. Yunjin was going around trying to get some documents signed by the superiors so it was mostly her doing all the tedious work without anyone to remind her about the time. You were only brought back to your senses when Yunjin came back calling you to go get lunch as Jake and Sunghoon were already waiting by the exit door of the floor.
You tried to hide your excitement to see Sunghoon and Jake and complain about the piles of papers you had to sort through just a while ago. Yunjin often rants about it more, but since you did most of the work, you couldn’t help but get excited over wanting to dish about it.
Yunjin could not help but notice the way your face and mood dropped when you found Wonyoung from Marketing talking to Sunghoon, even laughing about something you couldn’t quite point out. You heard they were working together on the upcoming event, which honestly, for the first time in your life you wanted to be involved in but unfortunately it wasn’t a job for the Human Resource department, so there wasn’t that much to do.
Does Sunghoon find her more interesting now that they’re spending more time together outside of lunches?
You couldn’t explain why you were feeling that way. You and Sunghoon haven’t even talked about where you stood and you were already reacting like this. He would definitely lose interest in you even more as soon as he realizes how hard it is to put up with you.
“Jang Wonyoung!” Yunjin happily calls as the both of you approach them. “I haven't seen you around in a while!”
“The marketing team has been really busy with the event, so I haven't had much time to hang around,” she explained. Jang Wonyoung was ethereal to look at. You were sure that even if you spent the entire day staring at her face, you would still struggle to find a flaw. Even so, she had this light aura around her that made her so easy and light to be around with. Sunghoon would like her even more than you, surely. You had no chance against Wonyoung.
“Hi, Y/N!” She greeted you happily. “I haven’t seen you that much around. It’s nice to finally have a face to your name!”
“Hello, Wonyoung,” you replied, shyly, trying to match her energy even though it took a lot of energy for you to do so. “It’s nice to finally meet you too.”
“Well, I should go. Sunghoon, please remind Mr. Kang that the meeting in Room 601 at 2PM. Thank you so much, you are a saint!” Wonyoung skipped away, which somehow made you feel bad that you thought of her as someone who would take from you—she did nothing wrong and either way, she did not care. You seemed like the only person who cared about it and what does that make you feel? Pathetic.
You couldn’t believe it. All these feelings for a boy that you’re not even exclusive with! You thought you were going insane!
“Y/N, are you coming?” Sunghoon asked, snapping you back to your senses, realizing that they were a good few steps away from you now on their way to the office cafeteria.
You nodded at him before following them, sticking close to Yunjin this time, instead of your usually comfortable proximity from Sunghoon. This time you were sat farthest away from him, avoiding any glances that would make you feel even more pity for yourself. It was ridiculous! All this for a boy? Insane! That’s what it is.
“Don’t you like your vegetables?” Sunghoon asked once again as he noticed you just looking at your beans and carrots on the side of your tray. You usually loved those, but you did not seem to be in the mood for them right now. Mind going back to the thought of Sunghoon falling for Wonyoung and choosing her instead of you over and over.
You shrug your head, still not giving him a verbal response until now. “But you always ate those?” He asked curiously.
“Are you okay, Y/N?”  Jake asked.
Oh you hated that everyone’s eyes were on you now, even Yunjin’s. You feel like you were being put on the spot and you hated it. It feels like you don’t have a choice but to say something even though technically you have every right not to say anything.
You lied and nodded at them.
“Liar,” Yunjin rolled her eyes. “Your mood has been off since we got to the dining hall. It’s going to help you so much if you could just tell us what’s going on.”
You could already feel that you were creating an awkward atmosphere by going non-verbal on everyone. “Sorry. Just wasn’t feeling like talking.”
Lunch was over before you knew it. Even though everyone carried on with their conversations with you just listening to them, you knew that all of them were concerned with the sudden dip in your mood with how everyone glanced at you every now and then.
“Jen, could I borrow Y/N for a minute?” Sunghoon managed to grab you by the arm as you and Yunjin moved to leave the cafeteria.
Yunjin looked at Sunghoon understandingly before turning to look at you. “Do you want to be borrowed?”
You looked at Sunghoon, who looked like a kicked puppy, pleading for a bit of your time. How could you say no to that?
The both of you found yourself in one of the empty balcony areas of the office that usually served as a smoking area to some visitors and employees that smoked.
“Did something happen?” He asked, as he sat next to you in one of the benches in the balcony.
You thought of it hard if it was worth saying. After all, you really were no competition to Wonyoung. There was no point fighting him for it—it’s not like you were something in the first place. You were just overreacting right?
“I’m just overreacting. Nothing really happened,” you confessed, looking at your hands while you picked on them to continue avoiding his gaze.
The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. You hoped he would eventually buy your lies but it did not seem to convince him at all.
“If it makes you react like this, then it must’ve mattered to you,” he explained, reaching for your hand to keep your fingers from picking at the skin around your fingers, a habit he noticed you do whenever you were uncomfortable or anxious. “Was it something I did?”
You shrugged, letting him hold your hand. “You’re okay.”
“Then what seems to be wrong, darling?”
You contemplated on whether you should tell him or not because now that you’ve thought of it, you think that you might’ve been jealous and had been obvious with it. You and Sunghoon are merely just friends—you haven’t talked about anything. You knew you absolutely had no right to be jealous if that was the case.
“It’s petty.”
“I don’t care if it is,” he sighed. “Petty or not, I want to know just so if I can do something about it, you wouldn’t be uncomfortable about it the next time.”
“What’s it like to work with Wonyoung?” You blurted out.
He looks at you surprised, though somehow was able to piece it all together as he smiled at you softly, squeezing your hand in between his.
“Were you jealous of Wonyoung?”
“I wouldn’t say ‘jealous.’ We’re not even a thing to begin with.”
“Do you want us to be?”
It was your turn to be surprised. You did not expect to hear that question so soon, with only just two weeks of hanging out. Well, if he was that important to you to the point that you were feeling jealous, then maybe you liked him that much as well, don’t you? You liked Sunghoon. You were way past the point of denying that when you asked the barista to write him the note this morning and when you decided that you were going to make an effort to do something nice for him today.
You didn’t know what made you confident enough to do what you did, you managed to clasp your hand with his and nodded your head.
Sunghoon almost jumped in his seat, he could feel a tear forming in the corner of his eye. Despite his cold visuals, god, he was expressive as hell and his eyes always had a warm look on them. You didn't quite understand why his parents made him look like that. He looks so handsome and confusing everytime you look at him, but it is always a pleasure to be confused if it's Sunghoon you're looking at.
“What's to say you're not going to choose Wonyoung over me along the line?” You asked him, making him chuckle.
“Because Wonyoung and I are related,” he smiled softly. “She's close to me, we grew up together. Our mothers are siblings.” He explained it so carefully while he ran his thumb in circles against the back of your hand, soothing you as he breaks down his relationship with Wonyoung. “I'm also pretty sure Wonyoung likes girls more than she likes guys. Who knows? Maybe Wonyoung can steal you from me?”
Now that you know that information, you realize that Sunghoon and Wonyoung did slightly look alike. You were too jealous to spot it the first time—also, how dare Yunjin not tell you earlier! She's friends with Wonyoung! There's no way she wouldn't have known! She definitely knows.
“Wonyoung could be our kids’ fun sapphic aunt!” he joked, making you snap back to reality.
“Hold your horses, Sunghoon,” you chuckled at him. “Dine me first, at least!”
“What does 7PM after shift sound like? I'll tell Yunjin that I'll bring you home before 10?”
“Only if there's wine.”
“We'll take the best one they have then,” he chuckled, pulling you for a tight hug. You instinctively wrapped yours around his waist and accepted his embrace. “I'm sorry for making you feel weird about me and Wonyoung, Y/N.”
“I should've asked first,” you mumbled. “At least I can be friends with Wonyoung without worrying if I'm homewrecking her relationship.”
Sunghoon laughed at your reply, pulling away before checking his watch.
“I should give you back to Yunjin. Your break time is almost over,” he sighed. “But I'll pick up at your table later, alright?”
“Mhmm,” you hummed. “Don't miss me too much.”
“A lot to ask for, darling.”
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
“Are you cold?” Sunghoon asked as soon as they entered the diner near the office. It wasn’t too casual, it didn’t look too fancy either. It looked like it was built a few decades before but it was well-maintained, especially the mini tabletop jukebox sitting on the table that’s looking more pristine than ever.
You shrug your head politely at Sunghoon. “How did you know about this place?” You asked, looking around, mesmerized at the decades old interior that survived the different aesthetics that evolved outside of it through the years.
“My mom used to bring me and my sister here after practice,” he smiled, looking around even pointing at the diner’s mini photowall. “I have a picture right there when I was seven, when I won my first junior national title. During the weekends, my mom and my sister would wait for me until late night to finish practice. We’d eat late dinner here because it would be the only place that’s open by the time I get out of training.”
Something about Sunghoon fondly looking at the place while he talked about his childhood made your heart swell in your chest. You were at least glad that the story behind bringing you to a cute diner was a fond memory and not a routine thing for every single girl he asks out on a date. You were relieved to find out that he isn't like anything Yunjin had tried to warned her about.
“Any suggestions on what I should order then?” you smiled at him. Sunghoon wanted to melt right then and there when you asked, he already had everything written and rehearsed in his head back when he was only fantasizing about talking to you and how here he is on a full on date in a place that he have always been dreaming of taking a girl to ever since he was a little kid.
Sunghoon excitedly scooted over and smiled at her, reaching for the menu to see if it had changed and if his favorite burger was still there. Fortunately, it was still there. He chuckled and pointed it out, explaining every ingredient and how to add up to the immaculate taste of it. He does the same in the pizza that they decided to order. You couldn’t help but chuckle at how big of a nerd he is. It was cute. It really adds up to his charm.
“The last time I was in an actual diner was when my mom picked me up from the hospital because I broke my arm from a bullying incident in school. I was homeschooled after that and we tend to move a lot so I didn’t have any friends prior to being classmates with Yunjin when we finally settled here in Seoul,” you told him, looking at your phone scrolling through your mom’s facebook to show him a photo of you from your freshman year in your pretty private high school uniform with a cast and a pink sling on your arm. You had spaghetti sauce all over your face and your uniform from trying to eat with one hand only.
“Do I have to get you a napkin? You seem like a really messy eater,” Sunghoon teased. You glared at him playfully, locking your phone and putting it back in your purse.
“No, thank you. I have two functional arms now.”
“Was it fun?”
“What is?”
“Moving around the world,” he asked, fiddling on the engravings of the spoon as he looked at you.
“Depends on how you define fun,” you responded. “I'm convinced I never really had fun before I met you, Jake and Yunjin.”
Sunghoon cocks his head to the side, curiously raising his brows as if it was going to help him hear better.
“You guys seem to know how everything works and rarely ever cared about how things would affect you,” you explained. “Maybe that comes with being exposed to the world. I didn't have much of that. Myself from 3 years ago would have a heart attack if she found out that I am on a date now, to be honest.”
“Myself from 3 months ago would have a heart attack if he found out that I am on a date with you right now,” he grinned, eyes crinkling cutely as he giggled.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
After many more personal stories and a few more glasses of wine, you were tipsy enough for Sunghoon to assume that it was time to go home. He later found out that you have never tried riding a bus without your mom before due to your semi-overprotective mom choosing to drive you around or give you cab money instead of letting you get on the platform. There was no judgment at all, after hearing all your stories about you and your mom’s adventures around the world and with your dad walking out on you and your mom when you were very young, Sunghoon understands that you were all that your mom has and even he would do whatever it takes to make sure you were safe and alive if you were the only one left for him too.
That being said, it’s the exact reason you and Sunghoon are waiting for the bus’ last trip all tangled in each other's arms, giggling as you continue telling each other’s lores.
Sunghoon was nice. Scratch that—he was amazing—incredible even. He walked on the side near the street, he held your hand while crossing, always made sure you were comfortable, seeing as it was your first time experiencing all that. He was a gentleman. Oh dear. You couldn’t ask for anything more.
It didn’t take that long though before you started gaining stares, especially after the event where the other Marketing interns watched Sunghoon cling to your side the entire time despite them having more time to work together during the preparations. Wonyoung had her fair share of death stares towards her colleagues but it could only go so far—she couldn’t control them whenever she had her back turned on them. You and Wonyoung eventually became friends too after all that fiasco.
“It’s so annoying!” Wonyoung complained as she brought her tray next to you and Yunjin across from her cousin and Jake. “They are still yapping about seeing you and Y/N in the event! It’s not like they’re entitled to your ugly ass’ attention! Literally it’s so awkward to work with them! All they talk about is Sunghoon this, Sunghoon that. It’s like they want to lick your ass or something!”
“I’m not sure if I want to hear that girlypop,” Jake snorted, holding back his laughter at Wonyoung’s choice of words.
“I heard one of the marketing interns whispering names when we were in the elevator this morning,” Yunjin rolled her eyes.
Jake found it bizarre that you seemed to be the most unbothered among you three. You were just minding your own business sorting out the beans and the carrots from your vegetable side and seemed to be having a great time unlike your friends who are about to burst in annoyance that all those are being said to you.
“You don’t seem bothered by it, Y/N. No?”
“I’ve been bullied multiple times before,” it was your turn to snort now. “All these are not even a quarter compared to what I’ve experienced. Plus, if I’m going to be called a slut, which happened on multiple occasions in middle school and high school, it's at least worth it now.”
“For the record, I do not treat you like anything of that sort,” Sunghoon defended himself.
“Thank fucking god, Sunghoon!” Wonyoung dramatically sighs. “Thank you for giving us the bare minimum!”
“The bar is in hell anyway,” Yunjin laughed. “I think he’s at least decent.”
Everyone else will have an opinion about how Sunghoon treats you but to you, Sunghoon was the nicest guy you’ve ever met. Okay, maybe that’s not as reliable to hear considering you don’t meet and be friends with a lot of people—but Sunghoon isn’t anything like Yunjin’s ex-boyfriends. He listens to every word you say and remembers it. He treats you very well—even your mom agrees when you told her about him once. Yunjin was giddy kicking her feet while lying on her stomach on your bed that night. They were both so fond of Sunghoon and how gentle he is with you.
So, yes. Maybe you were going to be called a slut probably more times than you thought but maybe for once it’s worth it—if this time, you are with Sunghoon.

You rub your hands together, trying your best to generate some heat in your body. Emily’s car, while lovely, did not provide the warmth of an suv on a usual stakeout and you were seriously regretting your inability to tell this woman no.
“All this to prove a point?” You mumble, the humour fading from your tone the longer you sit in the cold car, the September air biting away at your fingers and toes.
Emily sits with her camera pointed at Morgan’s apartment, a determined glint in her eye. “Better personal life than me, my ass. He came straight home and hasn’t left the building since!”
You roll your eyes, wishing desperately you were home, “Yeah but he’s also not wasting his evening stalking his friend.”
Emily lowers the camera and turns to face you, brows drawn together. “He can’t make accusations like that and not expect me to find proof.”
“Well maybe if you focused a little bit more on yourself and a little less on him then you wouldn’t need to prove it and you’d have a private life he couldn’t argue with.”
She scoffs, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Always so clueless.
You shake your head, annoyed, embarrassed, and frustrated by the woman in front of you. “I’m right here.”
Emily’s frown only deepens and you blow out a breath, “I invited you out for dinner tonight and instead we’re stalking Morgan and have completely missed our reservations. Every time I try to move us forward you find a way to shut it down.”
“Reservations? I thought you wanted to get take-out and head back to one of ours, like usual.” She says with genuine confusion.
“No, I booked that nice Indian place you like.”
“Oh,” She responds, dropping the camera firmly in her lap.
“Look,” you sigh, “I just need to know, okay? Because maybe I’m just failing to get the hint and you’re really not interested but I thought we were going somewhere. I like you Emily.”
“You like me? Tonight was supposed to be a date and instead I blew you off and made us sit and stake out Morgan.” She says slowly, words strangled.
“Yes.”
“Fucking hell.” She blows out a breath. The car is silent for a moment as she comes to terms with the news and then her gaze focuses back on you. “I’m so sorry. I will make this up to you. I’m taking you for the best date night starting right now.”
Your eyes widen, “Wait so that’s a-?”
She smiles, wide and happy, “Yes, idiot, I like you too. God, why else would I ask you to sit here with me?”
You can’t help but smile too. Head in the clouds as Emily puts the camera away and the keys back in the ignition.
“Ready to go?” She asks, a playful smirk on her lips that your eyes linger on.
“There’s just one thing first.” Because you can’t wait a moment longer. You’ve waited years.
You lean over the centre console, hand cupping her cheek and pulling her towards you to meet you in the middle. Emily’s eyes darken instantly, her gaze dropping to your lips before they fall close and her lips softly meet yours.
Your body hums, alive as your lips move tenderly against hers. A gentle whine escapes your lips and your body heats up as you regretfully pull away.
“Mmmhmm,” Emily hums, lips well kissed and eyes dark. “We can definitely do that again.”
“Food?” You ask, voice strangled. Avoiding the knowing look in her eyes, suddenly shy.
“Oh, babes, I’ve got the perfect place.”

“Karaaaaaa.”
The Kyrptonian rolled her eyes fondly at the sound of her name being raspily whined from the direction on their bedroom. Lena had been in a whiny mood ever since waking up and showed no signs of stopping.
“Yes love?” She called back, leaning back to take a peek into their bedroom. Kara couldn’t keep herself from giggling quietly, their bedroom door was wide open, so she was able to get a perfect view of her girlfriend who’d apparently decided to sit up and cocooned herself in their main blanket with only her face exposed - on which she wore a small, adorable pout.
“I’m cold…”
Kara chuckled softly, admiring Lena's adorable pout. She shuck her head in amusement, trying and failing to hold back a growing smile, “Oh really, is that so? Y’know with all those blankets you’re hiding in; I really couldn’t tell.”
“I’m being serious!” The CEO mumbled, moving to hide her face behind a blanket as she coughed raspily, her pout deepening in response, “Karaaaaaa, please? You’re the only thing that can warm me up right now.”
“Baby, I’m making you some food right now, you’ve gotta eat. I promise as soon as I’m done making you some delicious pancakes we can cuddle for as long as you want.”
“Please…?”
Oh, how could she deny that pout any longer? She couldn't resist Lena's adorable plea, her heart melting at the sight of her girlfriend wrapped up in blankets, looking so small and needy. With a soft sigh, she surrendered, "Alright, come here, you big baby."
Lena had her wrapped around her finger and she knew it. Kara already knew exactly what she wanted before she’d even asked.
“Come on, get on then.” She said, sitting down on the edge of their bed.
A small grin spread across Lena’s face as she crawled out of the big blanket bundle, swapping it for the thin grey blanket they usually kept at the end of their bed. Lena wrapped it around herself before turning back to wrap her legs around Kara’s waist whilst her hands wrapped around her upper torso to hold on with.
Of course, Kara had no problem carrying her like this and stood up effortlessly with Lena cuddling into her back, “Rao, you’re like a little koala, y’know that?” She teased, feeling her girlfriend’s head come to rest on her shoulder as they made their way back out to the kitchen. There was no doubt it was going to be a little harder to cook now that she had her girlfriend clutched onto her back but of course she’d find a way to make it work.
“You’re so lucky I love you.”
“I know.”

please rant about bubbline, i need a win
the brilliance of bubbline has been vastly misunderstood for years and i’ll explain. people see bubbline as your standard sapphic couple with no real depth, people see the pairing and go ‘gfs’ and move on HOWEVER they are so much more than just girlfriends. they are two immortal beings who for years have been wrapped around the other fingers and have had a relationship based on miscommunication until wrapping that up during the stakes era (varmints s7 is what confirms this but we get into that later)
so the entirety of bubbline is based on miscommunication and you may be wondering: aimsey, how? well that’s because of the fact both of the pair believed the other was in the wrong. but, for us to discuss this, i must explain their relationship in its entirety. we understand how long their relationship has truly been going on for when there is a clip in obsidian distant lands (ODS) where bubblegum catches marcys rock tshirt, both when the pairing are younger or well “a longer time ago” - this shows how long they’ve truly been in each others lives. now, fast forward to the scene we get in ODS where marceline and bubblegum argue over the sense of power, as well as immaturity. we see marceline wanting to just hang with her girlfriend, while in a disruptive manner, meant no harm, and we see bubblegum attempting to focus on work while accidentally shutting marceline down in the process. that quickly escalates into a full blown argument, and quotes like “you’re acting like monster trash” is thrown at marceline which, marcy being an angsty little half demon, didn’t take too lightly in which she responded to the comment with a song that basically says “nvm. you’re not cool. i’m glad i woke up. fuck you and your candy kingdom” and it ends with bubblegum breaking up with marcy. sad right? you haven’t seen anything yet
so now we move on to the tv show. the first we see of the two is the episode ‘go with it’ where marcy is asked to help finn in his adventure to try and ask out the princess. you may be wondering “huh? but if bubblegum is her ex why would she help-“ WRONG! because she doesn’t help! she gives finn completely wrong advice which ends in finn getting thrown out of the candy kingdom. the interaction between the two during this episode is bitter, where we see marceline speak in a high pitched tone and say ‘hello bonnibel’ almost mockingly, in response to bubblegums ‘hey marceline..’ which is incredibly stand offifish. from the get go, we know something happened between them (and with obvious clues now we know the timeline but as a first time viewer, this random episode in s1 can confuse everyone because why do these two characters have beef we don’t know about?)
now, moving onto an important core episode in their timeline which is ‘what was missing’ in season 3. one of the most popular adventure time episodes, and one of the most popular bubbline moments where we see bubblegum and marcy being forced to be together due to finn and jake attempting to take down a “door lord” that includes all of the teams prized possessions. (tldr: little gremlin dude stole jake, finn, bubblegum and marcelines* top favourite and most memorable items.. we will get back to this shortly). anyway, they have to sing a song of truth to get passed and with a failed attempt, marceline tries and lets say she just unleashes all the resentment and anger she’s had towards bubblegum in the form of a song! she says stuff like “i wanna drink the red from your pretty pink face”, “sorry i don’t treat you like a goddess”, and “why should i be the one to make up with you.. so why do i want to?” - indicating she WANTS to. which is probably the first time bubblegum has heard this, because bubblegums reaction is very much just “:O” the entire time. anyway, song goes on, marcy blames bubblegum for her messing up (in reality marcy only messed up because she began saying she wants to bury bubblegum but that isn’t true so the door didn’t accept it. L). anyway, they make up soon enough when finn does his little finn thing and everything is fine.. until bubblegum tries to go against the door lord with a “calculation” which appears to be false and it messes everything up - marcy uses this failure of hers to kinda rub it in her face, watching the princess fail was a positive in marcelines eyes as she was used to seeing bubblegum put work before her so of course she will use any moment of bonnie messing up as a win. she says “looks like you aren’t as perfect as you thought..” which has bonnie respond with “i never said you had to be perfect!” .. OUCHIE!! this leads to them getting upset, finn doing a little sing song which actually opens the door, and them getting their stuff back.. YIPPEE! now, you may be wondering “what was the stuff bubbline had stolen from them?” WELLLL LEMME TELL YOU. bubblegums most prized possession was THE ROCK T-SHIRT that MARCY GAVE HER years ago. marceline blushes as she says “you.. kept the shirt i gave you?” and bubblegum replies “yeah it uh.. means a lot to me” and marcy asks why because bonnie never wears it, to which bonnie replies “i wear it all the time. as panama’s.” .. NOTHING MORE GAY THAN SLEEPING IN YOUR EXES SHIRT THEY GAVE YOU THERE IS NO HETEROSEXUAL EXPLANATION FOR THIS!!!! anyway, marcy didn’t actually *have* an item stolen from her and instead it seems she just wanted to hang out with the team, more importantly wanted to hang out with her pink haired ex girlfriend. good stuff!
anyway, next important interaction i’m highlighting comes from the season 5 episode ‘sky witch’ (there is a lot of smaller key moments but i’m jumping to this one okay moving on) anyway, there is a huge moment at the start of sky witch where bubblegum begins by.. sniffing the shirt marceline gave her.. as she wakes up, to then opening her closet to get ready for the day and we see a polaroid of the pairing IN THE CLOSET… you get my drift? anyway, it slowly moves on to marcy asking PB for help with something (in reality she needs PB to help her recover a teddy bear that was stolen from her that was given to her by her literal father figure during the mushroom war.. so it has a lot of significance. remember that). anyway, PB agrees after the tiniest of convincing and on they go! they go on this adventure, but we will skip to the end where PB magically gets the teddy back.. how? well, we don’t find out until the end of the episode where bubblegum actually traded the rock shirt marcy gave her all those years ago. why did that work you ask? because the sky witch works from the value of items, and not money value, but emotional significance.. SO IT MEANS THE ROCK SHIRT MARCY GAVE HER HAD MORE EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT AND SIGNIFICANCE THAN THE LITERAL TEDDY GIVEN TO MARCY DURING A LITERAL WAR FROM HER OWN FATHER FIGURE THAT ABANDONED HER!!!!!! MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
okay okay, need more information? i’ve got you! we will quickly move onto VARMINTS my favourite episode of all time. “why aimsey?” because it gives us all the answers and clues we were waiting for when it comes to PB and marcys relationship. we learn that bonnie was unaware of the reason as to why marcy believed they stopped talking and broke up, we see bonnie apologise for hurting marcy and shutting her out, and we see marceline accept her apology as the pair can finally move on and accept the past. after seven whole seasons we get closure baby! the episode is brilliant in millions of ways, as we see bonnie be vulnerable around marceline regarding her loss of the candy kingdom, we see marcy reconciling with bonnie as they travel through the tunnels the pair used to explore years and years before, and it’s just a very nice episode. we are hit with the infamous quote “bonnibel bubblegum, always so prepared.” to which bonnie replies in a stern tone “yeah, i have to be always so prepared, we can’t all just wing it!” which is almost a dig at marcelines free spirit nature, but not out of malice, out of jealousy. bonnie wishes she had that, and not the huge amount of responsibility she has been burdened with since she was barely old enough to understand what it means to be mature. marcy saying the words “is that why you stopped talking to me?” after hearing bonnie go on a rant about how responsibility is difficult always hits me in my heart because it proves marcy to this day, although being bitter about it, believes the reason bonnie shut her out was because bonnie preferred work over her and that was marcelines biggest fear (as we know from getting shut out from her mother, her father and being abandoned by simon). bonnie going “no?!” because she genuinely just didn’t even think to see that may have been the reason the two fell out; both of the pair believing it was the other that lead to the fallout and bonnie not realising it may have involved her a lot more than she thought and it wasn’t just down to marceline being immature. anyway, episode ends with bonnie apologising, marcy accepts it, and we get a very sweet moment where bonnie is vulnerable and explains she is exhausted and marcy allows her to sleep on her shoulder as she rests. very cute :)
okay now stakes the mini series is a whole new realm for stuff regarding the pairs relationship. the stakes mini series is highlighting marcelines relationship with vampirism, and is a very beautiful series i recommend everyone watches. it begins with marceline burning in the sun, and slowly moves on to her asking bonnie to help her with the procedure of turning her into a human because she no longer wants to be a vampire - huge thing to ask, and bonnie ensures she is sure, and they do the procedure. a moment from this i think about a lot is where bonnie says this while doing the procedure regarding the fact marcy will no longer be immortal: “and when you die, i’ll be the one who puts you in the ground”. i think it’s just a nice quote. anyway, there are so many key moments from stakes but i’ll highlight important ones because it’s 5 episodes jam packed of bubbline but another moment is where they are searching for one of the vampires to hunt (this’ll make more sense if you watch it but TLDR: the procedure also unleashed all the vampires marcy has defeated in her years of growing up). PB and marcy are doing jumping jacks, and marcy is explaining a dream she had where in the dream marcy was all old, but PB was still “nice and pink” - meaning marcy was dreaming of her immortality being taken away, and dreaming about how in her future when she’s old, she’s with PB and she’s grown old with her (aww). bubblegum replies “you think i’m nice?” and it’s a very sweet moment where the pair blush. marcy then explains she has a weird feeling in her stomach, and PB asks if it’s just fear and marcy explains she knows what fear feels like already, and then goes “maybe it’s.. love?” regarding what the feeling is while looking at bubblegum and ITS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT THAT DRIVES ME INSANE BECAUSE HOLY!!!! MOLY!!!!!!!! she was just hungry (lmao) and we move on! another scene is where marceline gets hurt badly, and bonnie is begging for her to wake up as she holds marcys lifeless body in her arms and it’s just a very emotional scene of bonnie begging her to wake up when she thinks marcy is about to die and it’s just very sad and beautiful. i’m gonna quickly move on towards the end of stakes as we have more to cover but during the end, marcy gets turned back into a vampire but explains she has learned a lot and she thanks bubblegum, and says the beautiful quote “thanks for helping me grow up. now i guess we get to hang out together forever” and bonnie blushes in return and it’s just such an AAHHHHH scene!!!!!
now, we are rushing towards the finale (i’m missing some very key moments but i’ve been writing this for an hour straight without stopping i will fill in the blanks later) but basically during the final episode, marcy stops bonnie and begs her not to go to war - bonnie replies she has to, and in this moment you can see marcy more so terrified that this will result in her losing bonnie for the second time due to work and she doesn’t want this. its canon at this point the pair are dating again, and we see them chit chat before moving on as the battle starts. fast forward to bonnie getting really injured, and in result of this marceline loses her literal shit and punts the monster that killed bonnie after believing her girlfriend just got smothered and really badly injured - after this, marcy is out of breath and we see bonnie sit up and whisper ‘marcy?’ in a soft tone and marcy flies over just overjoyed she is okay. marcy says “even when we weren’t talking i was scared something bad would happen to you and i wouldn’t be there to protect you” and it’s such a raw line where it’s just obvious throughout all these years marceline never truly moved on from her. marcy and her giggle and then bubbline share their first on screen kiss that made thousands of gays across the globe pass away!!!
then, we have the beautiful obsidian distant lands that gives us insight into their very healthy relationship as we learn a lot more about the pair, and we just get some beautiful shared moments between them and even them canonically calling each other girlfriends which will never not be engraved in my brain!
this was everything from the top of my head (they will be my number one hyperfixation whether i like it or not until i pass away) but yeah! tldr: miscommunication lead to them not speaking for a very long time when the pair both just wanted to be loved but didn’t know how to balance their own stuff on top of loving the other. the miscommunication lied with bonnie throwing herself into her work instead of giving marceline attention, ultimately losing marcys trust in the process, and where marceline being a free spirit lead to bonnie just not being able to work like that as she “isn’t built like that” (her own quote “people get built different. we don’t need to figure it out, we just gotta accept it”. despite it being about her brother, i like to apply it to her also here). and marceline not giving PB the credit of her being a literal ruler burdened with responsibility. both were too young i’d say, but them growing up together and allowing the other to heal in their own ways lead them to each other again :)

it has come to my attention that i have not been talking about wlw ships enough, and for that, i am sorry. i apologize for flooding my mutuals' and followers' feeds with nothing but rarepair yaoi; as a lesbian myself, i should know and act better. i should simply like the most popular ship between two canonically female characters in every fandom i'm in, regardless of whether or not i personally feel they would get along or enjoy the majority of the fandom's characterization of them and their dynamic. and i should stop talking about rarepairs with male characters, instead only talking about mlm ships if they're popular, like real lesbians do.
since i first created my Ao3 account in december of 2016, nearly eight (8) years ago, i have only tagged fifty-four (54) fics with the f/f category, and an entire four (4) of those fics were also tagged with the m/m category. this is unacceptable behavior on my part. and while my span of time creating for the f/f category goes from january 10, 2017 with my first fic ever posted on ao3 to september 25, 2024, i realize this means it has been over one full month since i have posted a f/f fic, and none of my five most recent fics on ao3 are tagged with the f/f category. this is a huge misstep on my part and i will work my absolute hardest to rectify it as soon as possible. i understand, too, that my total word count of 266,147 words for f/f fics over the span of these past ~8 years puts me at only approximately 36,018 words of f/f fics posted each year, which is not nearly enough in any way, shape, or form. from the bottom of my heart, i apologize.
in the future, i will work to write more f/f fics, and i will do my best to make sure those fics are only the ones most widely accepted by the fandom, and most easily digestible for anyone who may come across them. this, of course, is simply the duty of a lesbian in any fandom, and i cannot express enough how sorry i am for failing in my job. i will no longer create new tags for sapphic rarepairs and instead pour my energy into making myself like all of the most popular wlw ships in whichever fandom i may find myself in. i will also refrain from going too heavy on the niche headcanons, so as to entice the maximum amount of readers. i have seen the error of my ways, and i accept that i am entirely in the wrong.
please bear with me while i work to better myself. any current wips i have of ships that do not fit the acceptable criteria for a lesbian in fandom to write about will be scrapped, and i will be dropping out of all events i have chosen to take part in if i cannot mold my work to fit these terms, since giving up on rarepair yaoi entirely is clearly the only way i will ever be able to redeem myself.
thank you all for your patience.

A Whiskey Lullaby (A Cruel Life)

You were tired. You always were now that you knew you were dying. The doctor said at least a year but they were too enthused; lying to you, because it was only two months since then and you knew very well that the day you die is here.
And now — You wanted to talk to your wife, to get to maybe share one more dance beneath the stars but she wasn't available. She hadn't been for awhile, before you stopped running from your fate. The drinking started a month before, the lying and constant evasion came next. Natasha was mad at you, and you were dying. Dying to know why, dying to hear her say I love you one last time, but, she was dying to strangle you, to take you before the cancer.
——
Dying to know why, and as she laid on the couch with a puddle of beer staining the carpet you told her, "There's never a right time to say goodbye my dear, and I hope you'll forgive me in due time for leaving you this way." Forgive you for what? She'll never know because she was too drunk to hear you verbalize what she already knew was in your heart (and lungs).
Cancer took you and the world mourned first.
Natasha woke up to the deafening silence. Not even the birds were singing. The dead leaves not falling, and you weren't answering her pleas. Natasha crumbled to her knees beside the bed. Her guilt laced grief rattling through the cracks in the walls she'd recklessly built.
The bright leaves fell then. As did your limp hand from hers when she felt the chilled skin.
The redhead stumbled from your room and sent Yelena a text, "Izvini." (Sorry). Then she returned with a poisoned bottle of whiskey.
Natasha failed to love you like she solemnly promised (vowed). She let grief consume her. The waste of time drinking started the moment that she knew you were leaving her behind. It wasn't the actuality—the cruel world taking you—nope, it was you, breaking a sacred promise.
To stay with her til the end, hers; not yours.
How could you take her lifeline away? Then actually expect her to breathe right some day?
Natasha wouldn't give you that satisfaction.
You neglected yourself for the sake of her for years. Not complaining of pain when she was met with financial problems after Tony died and his estate froze the Avengers funds until they could unveil his final will and testament.
During the blip she was running out of money every time she thought she stood a chance at bringing you back; you, who was already sick.
A daughter lost her father, a wife her husband. Millions were brought back from extinction, surely it counted for something, but what did all of the sacrifice mean if she lost you too?
Her mind plays a loop of every time you'd coughed while you were on the run with her. Never near a hospital long enough to tell her that something was wrong, because you would never risk losing her to Ross as you got cured.
She would have turned herself in to Tony for him to swear to it you were covered. The man loved you enough to put differences aside, and Ross wasn't stupid enough to let you die.
Natasha would have survived because she would have gotten you back eventually. She was well known for her ability to make herself disappear and return when the time is right.
Timing was always tough for you two. Like when you missed the first date because you saw someone in need and tended to them instead.
You felt peace for a glorious few seconds.
Then once you realized you blew the redhead off you ran around the city on a mission. It started with you getting wine, then a pizza and ended with you pleading with the owner of the flower shop to unlock the door, and then once more pleading with a fist at Nat's front door.
You knocked, and knocked until she opened. You handed her the smushed up tulips in a rash wave of anxiety and she spluttered the petals from her lips and stared at you blankly. Green eyes holding a grudge against her perfect match, a foolish wager to take a chance on.
Natasha's anger nearly blew it, but you beat her with your rushed words: "I'm sorry for missing our date Natasha. I love pasta, and you too."
Natasha's eyes widened and you shrugged with a playful smile. "Surprise if you didn't already know! It was unrequited love in the start babe," you reminded her and she pouted. You flashed her an even dreamier smile, "But it worked out in the end," and teased her with a smug wink.
"It did, didn't it?" Natasha smiled and planned to kiss you breathless, to seal the deal of your hearts greatest desires. Then you ruined it.
Well, at least partially... Halting her game.
"I don't actually apologize though, because I couldn't leave that little boy crying beneath the dimmed streetlights of a ruthless city. He clung to me before I even saw him, so I put on my hero cap and helped him to find his mother."
Natasha's dagger eyes twisted into hearts.
"After four blocks of searching I heard her calling for Dylan, the little stinker lifted his head and cried. His mother was on me in an instant and only refrained from punching me when she saw I was an Avenger. If it were me I still would've swung. But she didn't. Only took a photo then thanked me in a rush to fame."
Natasha watched you in amusement as your face revealed your thoughts first, you scoffed humorously at that, it was just peculiar to you because: "If you share that story, all you are saying is 'I'm the mom who lost sight of my toddler in the streets of a devious New York.'"
You went to catch your breath, but the redhead needed you to stop blabbing, so she pulled you into a kiss that took your next to last breath.
Then she had to go and silence you to never have to face the ramifications of the true last breath. It left your lips while she slept in torment, her dreams were always cruel now.
As she took the last sip she sighed, because at this time she'd be escaping the wake up call.
Natasha shed a relieved tear, her dulled eyes closed and the empty bottle in her hand slipped onto the ground and shattered. The birds cried and the trees stood barren. The sun that just rose eventually set. Your lifeless bodies connected like lovers unlike they'd been prior.
That doomed night, the angels and birds sang in a practiced symphony; a whiskey lullaby.
The world lost two more heroes in the aftermath. Everyone mourned, Yelena buried you both beneath the willows, and cried as she yelled at you two for being so selfish. Laura clung to the blonde because now she was down a husband and sisters, by blood and marriage.
Yelena gave into the reality that this was all the family she had left. Losing the same sisters left them bonded now, in a morbidly unfair way.
It was frivolous really, to grieve the loss instead of celebrate the conquered life. They cry out; but to a void, neither of you could hear the mourning; eternally booked and busy.
Too busy rejoicing in your afterlives together.
Natasha got a second chance at loving you.
She'd found you in a field, out of breath from all the racing to get to you, but also because you were glowing brighter than ever before. Wearing a vivacious smile and looking pretty.
Much like when she found you earth-side she crumbed to her knees, sobbing. But this time her tears were a mix of bitter joy. You quickly shushed her though, and pulled her to her feet and right into a deep, meaningful kiss. It was free of sin, but the deviants would get off to it in a porno because they'd feel the authenticity.
The love was palpable and renewed. She cried into your mouth but you continued smiling.
"I'm sorry," Natasha whispered into the warm skin of your neck. Not like blood pumping beneath skin, but more so a sensational bliss. "I ruined our happy ever after moya lyubov'."
"Don't be sorry Natasha," you refuted her while spinning her around by your grip on her hips. Forcing her to see the dreams you shared in front of her. Day flashed to night and you spun her around beneath the light of the moon.
When you finally stopped spinning her she fell into your arms in a graceless way she detested. Her brows furrowed once again but you kissed her lips and devilishly distracted her mind. Pulling away you gasped, then smiled so soft that she finally deemed this moment reality.
You were her angel always, but you were finally free of the cruel restraints of a limited world. Natasha jumped and you caught her, she wrapped her arms around your neck, her legs mirroring them around your waist. You pecked her lips then said: "We lived that life full of regrets, always forgiving, but unable to forget. Let's save the now for absolution, we're free."
"In paradise baby," Natasha cheered and the sun set. Then it rose without conditions, and you lived out your dreams with your lover.
Eternity was kind to you, oh the places your love could've gone if only life had been too.

Do you also sometimes watch Yuri On Ice and think that if these skaters were real, you would fangirl them* like there's no tomorrow?
I know that Yuuri and Viktor would be my absolute favourites. Every time they take the ice, I would scream myself hoarse, scare off my cats AND the neigbhours and basically die. I could not bear seeing them fail and I would LOVE to see them trying to beat each other in the gayest possible way.
But there are also fan favourites that I would love for their charms, like Phichit for the joy he exudes or Chris for being unapologetically gay. Yurio would be my bratty child that still deserves puppy protection and I would be a sucker for Georgi's and Michele's drama because who watches figure skating and NOT loves a dramatic performance?
And like that it would be for all the other skaters as well because they all bring something unique and charming to the table.
And don't get me started on the girls, we don't see them skate because YOI is an anime about male figure skating, but I am very sapphic for Sara and Mila, and that's reason enough to swoon over them.
(By "them" I mean everyone but JJ, I honestly can't imagine fangirling him. Sorry not sorry, JJ, I just can't take you seriously)

isekai fix-it au part 1
A/n: switches from third to first person, all gender friendly (no pronouns) but presumed fem because reader joins the team, other than that all people friendly (unless you don't like Chappell Roan's music and hate the idea of being born in Chicago to the point you won't read something where its just like that...), angst at the end, a lot of existential philosophical thoughts
Sorry, but if *I* got sent into the 1990s I would literally steal Femininomenon because that shit is gasssss this is the only pop song I can have on repeat forever not even Joyride compares i fear
One second reader was in their home town of Chicago at the Lollapalooza Chappell Roan set, circa, and next thing they know they're in an oddly highly populated mall listening to the low hum Madonna through upheld speakers
Odd, very much odd. What's odder, they think they might have just seen their favorite sapphic cannibalistic TV show protags
The spritz of water coming from the water fountain in front of them lowers with the pressure of the nice looking decoration and, yep, that looks like the shaggy bleached wolf-cut of Natalie "something catholic middle name" Scatorccio
Oh my fucking god. That's defiantly the constantly mewing face of Sophie Thatcher. *Wow*. They quickly ask themselves in their noggin, 'what harm would it be if I *just* asked if they were friends of dorothy...?' feeling the silent creep of desperation creep up in their warming with flush hands
oh God, they must be staring—
wait they have so many questions, first of all, what's going on?! Is this real? Would real mean canon compliant? What's even going on, are they dreaming? Are they hallucinating? Is life a simulation and it got fucked up to finally failed and Yellowjackets is reality??? To much thoughts, too little time— if this is in any way real, do this mean Lottie 's hallucination was based off of this?
They can't confirm at all since they have half the head to look away, what could be worse than to have the very real looking Yellowjackets look at *you* as if you're a weird starer and not an omniscient not-god?
You smell some fresh ass Auntie Anne's and your stomach rumbles from the shitty concert food you bagged in... your world (would be the term I guess) but then you think more about it and realize your money and pocket change are probably dated for a date that has yet to happen which will definitely bring up some questions and problems with getting the pretzels.
After the initial excitement they sort of wander around Wiskayok, it's far different than Chicago, although you figure that's because it's in the northern part of New Jersey, the south side is probably the more Chicago-ee part
Really it was just a bunch of walking, you explored the very much fictional but now real Wiskayok, and really it left you with a lot of time to ponder (read: overthink)
By nightfall you were, yes you guessed right, still in this damn town, and you were starting to get worried about not returning home, because you don't know what's going on, but if we humour the situation as an isekai, does time work the same? If you spend a day here does it equal two years in your world?
You could feel yourself getting a headache at the thought(s), you she already wandered around the overwhelmingly small town and checked out the school at a reasonable distance, you think you spotted the trailer park where Van and Nat live
You settle in the library for a bit, thinking 'fuck it, I don't have anything better to do, maybe I can get some sort of idea about what's really going on', and next thing you know you're looking at a calendar reading February 3rd, 1997. Yeah, very much not 2024...
But this peaks your interest, obviously the crash hasn't happened since you saw the girls together eating Chinese food at the mall, but you're here about four or five months before the plane crashed. And a little seedling sprouts in your little head
But still, nighttime fully arised and you were locked out of the library. And you don't exactly know where to go, it's not like you have a place to go. So you find a nice bench near a fairly shaggy side of the town— cracked, chipped sidewalks, weeds growing out of the sides and heeps of uneven dirt and stray cigarette butts littering the crevice where the sidewalk and the grass (if you could even call it that) meet, and you can distantly see the trailer park about a block or two down to the left– huddling up in a bean against the shitty metal arm
Hey bright side, at least you're sleeping on a bench during an age where they didn't sleep proof/devoid benches of their damn purpose
Of course unbeknownst to you in your shitty but albeit deep sleep, a certain red head on her way home in her worn green pickup truck driving home from a hookup with a certain curly haired girl noticed you, just a glance and yeah, okay young homeless person on that bench
When you woke up, you found yourself with a sore back met with pollen straight to the nose. Very much not your time
Okay... Well there's no way this is real right?
And so for two more days you wandered around town, slept on the bench, scrambled quick scraps of food either from the local food bank, one of the various churches, or by doing an odd job for a diner
And then it sort of settled in on you. Is this *permanent?* Uh... What the fuck are you supposed to do? This feels *very* real
You don't really know what else to do, at some point you happen to take a walk and pass by the school right when soccer practice is happening, and you have to say that no TV screen could compare to the sight
I mean, you didn't really have much going for you back 'home' so to say, no partner, no job, no hobbies you actually stuck to, no sports, nada zilch zam, it was school, go home, and sleep. That was your routine
So with a sign you figured if this might be long term you should try and conjure up a fake identity and apply to the school, which wouldn't be the easiest thing to do, but what's the harm in it? At least then you have something to do
About a dozen and a half library books later and a few very interesting conversations you were applying to Wiskayok Public School under the guisse of being a foreign exchange student (God bless your basic French and/or Spanish skills), telling them that your papers had yet to come in and switch to the American database (suspend your disbelief, damnit)
And so you found yourself taking Calculus again despite having that in the real world during your first semester, so you did well
But anyways, you had a class with aforementioned redhead. So Van was most interested when the homeless person is suddenly in the school, more so that they're a foreign exchange student
Even more weird, apparently Taissa (her hookup who Van of course is starting to have more than just hookup feelings for), saw the same damn homeless person with a pile of books at the library. Soccer, survival, psychology, health and wellness, the Dutch Famine of WW2 for some reason? So wow, they must have so many hobbies!
More interestingly so was when this same person (still sleeping on that bench as far as Van is sure) is applying for tryouts on the team. Late. Like, months late. But, with a hot headed attitude and determination, and surprisingly quick thinking skills with both their head and feet, they managed to impress the coach.
States comes around and for *some* reason this homeless person (to Van that is, no one else knows they're technically homeless) is... bombing? No one wants to accuse them of intentionally trying to make the team lose (besides maybe Tai...) but like... They slide tackled Jackie when she had the ball?
And sure one of the opposing team were close too, maybe they just overshot trying to go for the opposing player, but they've seen you play better than that.
Things happen and at some point you get benched by Coach Martinez and you have the absolutely worse panic attack of your life, you don't know what to do, you planned to just make the team lose states so that they never board the plane in the first place
But what are you supposed to do benched? And so you can't bring yourself to watch on the bench, walking to the locker rooms with tunnel vision and a bp that borderlines the beginning of hypertension.
You slide down against your locker that's in the corner of the room, knees to your chest and arms wrapping around your head as you try to stabilize your breath and shaky thoughts.
What now, what do you do? This is permanent is it not? Are you ever going home?
Your heart is beating up your spine, you can feel it in your chest, your throat, your head and it feels like your skull will split in two and you just want to scream and shout because what can you do now?
Do you go on that plane? Do you suffer too? What do you do? What can you do what can you do what can you do?
You put this pressure on yourself in the first place and yet you can't relieve it. Tears of frustration and horror fill your eyes and your body shakes with silent, utmost quiet sobs that make no sound but shake your shoulders.
And you hear the cheering outside and you know the Yellowjackets won.
Maybe you should have just busted Jackie's kneecaps so she couldn't play
But then maybe Shauna would have taken over and made the winning goal.
Or Taissa would have tackled a player on the opposing team and stolen the ball and made a pass to Nat so she could make the winning goal.
To many questions, too many variables, infinite situations. It's not something a finite being can predict or control.
You wipe your eyes, pulling your way out of the locker rooms to sneak away before they come into the locker room.

At Least Out Loud (Karen Page x Fem!Reader)
Here's my day 2 of Tuna-Tober! Finally wrote something for the love of my life Karen Page
Sorry it ends on a sort of cliffhanger, I am trying to keep these as short as I can manage so I can get through more! Maybe I'll write a part two🤭 Also title is a reference to the absolute BANGER of a song I Won't Say I'm In Love, which hits so much harder in a sapphic context if you ask me <3
Tuna-Tober Day 2: “I’m in love with you, and that scares me.” + A Hug That Lasts A Little Too Long
Pairing: Karen Page x Fem!Reader
Warnings: mentions of alcohol, sapphic yearning, platonic matt and reader
Word Count: 1.1k
Tumblr media
Karen slapped a hand over her mouth, trying to refrain from spitting out her drink at Foggy’s joke. You had failed that challenge, but managed to get it back in your cup as the entire table erupted into laughter. It was a much needed break for all of you, the end of a long week and long work hours. Foggy and Matt at their firm, you and Karen at the Bulletin. You hadn’t been able to spend time together with all four of you in so long. It felt so right, like coming home, and you never wanted it to end. Foggy’s jokes, Matt’s smile, and…Karen. Everything about Karen.
The low lighting of Josie’s gave you courage, or maybe just the ability to hide from the truth. No matter what, at the end of the night in the run-down dive bar, you always were left with that feeling in your stomach. A feeling that felt suspiciously like butterflies.
“Okay, okay, I need to…” Karen let out a few more giggles before running a hand through her stupid, perfect hair. “Need to go. Got a meeting tomorrow morning.”
There was a unisonous groan across the table.
“Tomorrow’s Saturday!” Foggy protested.
“Yes, Foggy, I know. I’m not looking forward to getting up early on a weekend either, but this is when Julia Dayton can meet for an interview.” she explained as she shrugged her bag onto her shoulder.
“Let me know how it goes,” you smile up at her. “That’s gonna be one hell of an article.”
“All thanks to you,” she laughs a little bit. “You helped me finish up my editorial in time.”
You waved a hand in dismissal as she hugged Matt and Foggy goodbye. You stood up too, grabbing your bag. “Walk you home?”
She shook her head. “I called an Uber.”
“Oh. You sure you’re good going by yourself?”
She smiled knowingly. “I’ll text you when I’m back safe. Okay?” she pulled you into a hug, the faint scent of roses and shitty tequila washing over you as you gently gripped her shoulders.
“Okay.” you responded, your voice far too small. You briefly wondered how long you should make the hug…were you hugging for too long? Were you making it weird?
You tried to pull back, but then she held on, and you just about melted in her arms. You weren’t sure if it was the alcohol, or the way her thumb was ever so slightly moving back and forth on your arm, but you felt entranced. If this was where you stayed for the rest of your life, you’d be completely fine with that.
When the hug finally broke you forced your expression into what you hoped was nonchalant, giving her a small smile. Then she was gone, leaving you to watch her walk out the bar door.
A beat of silence passed before you heard a snort from behind you. You turned around to see Matt and Foggy, trying to hold in smirks.
“What?” you were immediately on the defensive, practically stomping back to your seat.
“Nothing, nothing. Sorry.”
~
You tried your best to enjoy the rest of the night, but the feeling in your stomach wouldn’t go away. A note of roses still lingered in the air, clouding over every other thought in your head.
You tell yourself it’s the alcohol.
“Alright, guys. I gotta call it a night.” Foggy sighed, standing up with a slight wobble.
Matt laughed at the slur in his friend’s voice and his lack of balance. “Yeah, I think that’s for the best, buddy.”
Foggy shooed him away, huffing as he mumbled something about the King of England being his uber driver.
“It says George the third…” you heard him tell Matt as he walked him out to the car. You laughed to yourself, finishing off the rest of your glass. You weren’t sure how many drinks that had added up to, but for the sake of your sanity you didn’t look at the bill before giving Josie your card. By the time you paid, Matt was back at the table, pulling his jacket around his shoulders.
“Ready to go?” He wasn't nearly as drunk as Foggy, and you couldn’t blame him. After learning about his heightened senses, you could understand how being drunk could be unpleasant for him.
You nodded, starting to force a smile before deciding not to bother. He would tell you’d be faking it, anyway. It almost seemed that he noticed you starting to fake it. You felt him focusing on you as you took his elbow and walked out of the bar.
After a block of heavy silence you pursed your lips and turned to look at him. “Do you have something to say? Or are you just going to keep counting my heart rate or whatever you’re doing?”
He laughed a little at your remark. “I don’t need enhanced senses to realize you’re upset.”
“I’m not upset.” you said immediately, but there wasn’t any conviction to it. You were too tired, too drunk. He just sighed, because he knew you were lying, and you knew he knew you were lying.
He murmured your name gently, before saying, very quietly, “You can’t keep running from it.”
The words hit you like a freight train. He was right. That’s what you were doing. You were running from this. That’s what you always did. The tightness expanded in your chest, moving past your ribcage, making your whole body feel like it was under ice water. Tears pricked at your eyes and you furiously wiped at them, turning away from him.
“She’s my best friend, Matt. I…I don’t want to lose her.”
“Do you really think you’d lose her?” he stopped you walking with a gentle hand on your shoulder. “Honestly. Do you think if she somehow doesn’t feel the same, that she would treat you any differently?”
You rolled your eyes, shaking your head. “N-no, no, of course not but it’s…I can’t just…” you struggled to find the words. “It’s not that easy, Matt, I’m…I’m terrified. I’m in love with her and that--that scares me. I don’t like feeling like this. Like I could just give her everything and she could just…say no. Or worse--she says yes. And then I…then I have to find some way to be enough for this beautiful, ambitious, amazing woman.”
Matt frowned. “That’s not how love works. It’s not a business exchange. If she loves you, which I--” he sighed. “Which I really think she does…then you’re already enough for her. It’s why she loves you." He gently placed a hand on your shoulder. “I’m not saying you have to tell her if you’re not ready. I’m just saying that…” he trailed off, searching for the words. “If anyone is going to be gentle with your heart, it’s Karen.”

Sabrina<<33: Yeah I invited Joel tonight btw. I've been wanting y'all to meet!!
My first instinct when I read this message is to rip my skin off and go insane. Unfortunately I decided to take a different route, trying not to let this absolute bullshit injustice get to me.
Me: Omgggg I'm so excited to finally meet him!! I should be there in 15ish.
I buckle my seatbelt and grip the steering wheel. I am not prepared to meet this mystery man who also happens to currently be the bane of my existence. I think it may be good for me to see her with him, but it's gonna hurt like a bitch.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When she opens the door, she seems different. She's dressed differently than usual. She leads me down the hallway to the living room. There he is.
"Hey, it's nice to meet you finally!" I exclaim, smiling and hoping the involuntary twitching of my right eye isn't noticeable.
"It's nice to meet you too!" He smiles at me warmly and waves his hand shyly.
I respond with a simple smile and greet the other roomies. I sit down at the coffee table and Sabrina comes to sit next to me.
"So how are things going with you and that girl?"
"Errrr I'm not really feeling it, I'm probably gonna let her know I just want to be friends." Little does she know, I've over-committed to her to the point where even thinking about dating another person fills my being with the strongest guilt I've ever felt. Wish that was mutual, but here we are.
She attempts and fails to stifle a smirk. She changes her facial expression quickly. Her eyes widen,, her brows lift and her lips part slightly.
"Whaaat, why?"
"I don't really know, she's cool and everything but I just can't see anything happening there."
"Yeah, you could do better anyways, whenever you told me about her I was like--" She scrunches her face in disgust and laughs. She says this about everyone I date.
"Sabrina" Joel calls. She turns around and he reaches his arm out, handing her his trash. She immediately gets up and throws it away for him.
I grimace slightly. This dude is closer to the trashcan than she is. He's not even in the middle of anything, his face has just been buried in his phone so far.
The group finally settles on a movie for the night. Some corny 2000's movie to watch ironically. We all laugh, cringe and gasp in unison as the movie progresses.
I look behind me to see Sabrina resting her head on Joel's lap. I feel like I've been stabbed in the chest fifty times with a dull butter knife. The remainder of the night she's glued to his side, barely bothering to even make eye contact with me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I spent the month of May mourning what could've been and accepting the reality of what really is. I know they've been seeing each other for a while, but actually seeing them together was excruciating. Especially because she didn't even seem like herself. She acted so self-conscious the entire night. Hyper-aware of every move she made, looking towards him for approval after every word she spoke.
She isn't who I thought. After so many conversations, I can't believe she's actually settling for a guy who's lame, uninterested in her personal life, and expects her to wait on him. The hours we've spent talking about how we hate dating men because of this exact behavior, and her praising him for not being like that, just for him to be exactly like that but she's too obsessed with him to acknowledge it.
She made her choice, I guess.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
June passes and I'm back at her house for another group hangout. One of her roomies, Charlie lets me in.
"Hiiiiiiiieeee I'm excited to see you! Sabrina went out to get some snacks for tonight but she should be back soon." She gifts me a hug and skips to the upstairs common area. I follow behind her and plop down next to her on the couch.
She cut her hair recently and dyed it back to her natural ash-brown color. She sits criss cross applesauce, and her shirt seems to swallow her entire body. She flips through the selection of titles on Amazon prime, and she settles on Ruby Gloom as background noise.
"Sooooo what have you been up to?" She turns to me, smiling brightly. Her light blue eyes wide and fixed on me.
"Honestly nothing too interesting, I feel like I'm in a weird transition stage of life right now, so it's just been a lot of the same stuff as usual I guess.. How about you??"
"Ugh same lowkey I've been suffering a little cause there's been roomie drama between Gracie and Jorden. I don't know, I just don't think I'm really adjusting well to the change in our environment recently."
"Oh my god yeah, I heard about that, has it gotten any less tense or is it still just...crazy?"
"It's definitely quieter and everyone's trying to keep the peace but it's just weird now, you know?"
"Yeah for sure, I'm sorry to hear that it's impacting you like this."
Loud footsteps start up the stairs and we look towards the entry way as they get closer. Sabrina walks out first, but she has this twisted, disgruntled look on her face. Joel follows behind her and my throat tightens.
"Hey guys!" I smile, trying hard to limit my reaction.
They smile at me awkwardly and she sits next to me on the couch. He pulls up a chair to sit in and buries his face in his phone.
"So, what have you been up to today?" I ask as casually as possible.
She opens her mouth to respond but is interrupted by a knock downstairs and Charlie excitedly popping up. When I look back over, her and Joel are locking eyes and communicating...telepathically? Honestly I can't really describe the type of interaction they're having but it's making me sick.
"Val's heeereee!!!" Charlie’s footsteps travel at lightning speed down the stairs and moments later her and Val appear in the entryway.
I met Val a couple months ago when Sab and I went to visit Charlie at work. They became what seems like pretty good friends rather quickly. She has quite a positive nature, so I'm really happy to see her here.
She sits on the couch opposite from me and smiles at me brightly.
"It's so nice to see you again, I've been seeing some of your posts dude and I love your art."
I can't help but blush a bit and shrug. "Thank you so much! I've been seeing yours too, what's that bar you went to recently? It looked so cool and, like, artsy?"
"Oh my gosh, yeah it's just a little spot downtown, I went for a show that one of my friends was doing, next time she performs I'll let you know and we can go." She responds, smiling with her eyes and I notice her cheeks start to glow with a light pink tint.
I nod excitedly and look back over to Sabrina, who's basically begging for Joel's attention. Joel who has his face buried in his phone. Joel who thinks he's so cool because he pretends to be a meta microcelebrity on instagram. Joel who acts like integrating into his girlfriends life and social circle is beneath him. Joel who won't even look up and talk to his girlfriend at the event she invited him to.
I roll my eyes and look straight at the TV. I'm doing the same thing she's doing. I'm begging for Sabrina's attention. Sabrina who's dating a man that doesn't care about her. Sabrina who thinks the bare minimum is above and beyond. Sabrina who disregards him in private and treats me like her girlfriend. Sabrina who ignores me when he's in the room. Sabrina who holds my hand while she drives. Sabrina who looks at me like I mean the world to her. Sabrina who can't make eye contact with me in public. Sabrina who has made me her backup. Sabrina who uses me to fulfill the emotional needs that Joel refuses to acknowledge. Sabrina who loves me. Sabrina who is ashamed of me.
I watch Ruby Gloom and remain silent. I glance over and listen in on Charlie and Val's conversations throughout the night. Besides those moments, I do my best to tune everything else out because it's not like anyone here is interested in talking to me right now anyways. Basically, I just do whatever I can to avoid looking in Sabrina and Joel's direction.
The energy in the room shifts after Joel leaves the room. I can feel Sab's eyes burning a hole into the side of my face. I turn my head to see her jump slightly and look forward. I look away and spot her head turn back in my direction. This cat-mouse thing continues until Joel steps back into the room.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'm sorry I was kind of quiet tonight, I'm having really bad cramps. I need midol ASAP."
"Tell that man to go out and get you some." I say, half-heartedly joking. Chuckling to ease the underlying aggression.
"I would but I don't wanna be difficult, ya know? I'm gonna make some tea for myself actually. Let's hang out next Tuesday though! If you can."
"Yeah, just let me know what time works for you."
I open the door and she hugs me tight.
"Let me know when you get home."
I nod and turn away from her. When I get in my car, I drive around the block and park. I scream out of frustration and slam my head into the wheel. What the fuck are we doing? What the fuck is she doing?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I head straight into the shower. Closing my eyes as the steaming water runs over my face. I tilt my head down and stare at my feet. I don't think I'm capable of being loved romantically. The experience of loving me as more than a friend will always be an embarrassment to those who feel it. I will always be a secret, and nothing will ever get off the ground for me. The burning in my chest makes its way to my throat and tears begin to fall. I'm so sick of this. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired. I'm so tired.
I slip into my bed and scroll through tumblr. At least I'll always have my stupid little blog.
I really need to move past this. I don't think I can keep waiting for her. I kind of want to play with her emotions the way she's played with mine. It's evil, but it's hard to not think about evening the score.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Heeeeey!! So I was thinking we could go to this bakery, on me! I've been wanting to take you here for a while."
"Yeah that looks awesome, let's do it!"
She got a croissant with cream filling and an iced americano. I got a strawberry swiss roll with an iced caramel latte.
"Do you wanna try mine?" We say in unison. We trade pastries and bite in. I reach for a napkin to wipe excess cream from the corner of my mouth. Her chin is resting in her hand and she watches me. Smiling endearingly.
We spend three hours in the cafe talking and laughing. We catch up about everything from the last few weeks and talk a bit about last night.
She breaks eye contact while she over-explains her silence last night. She has to know that I know the truth. Her reasons feel avoidant and empty.
"Honestly, you have nothing to apologize for, I totally get it, if i was in your position I would've been quiet too.
She nods her head slowly. Still refusing eye contact, her expression is mixed. A look of relief mashed with a guilty, stifled energy in her eyes. A soft smile on her lips paired with a vacancy in her pupils. She looks extraordinarily haunted.
"Do you wanna go to the park?"
Her head pops up and turns back towards me. Her smile bright and wide.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We walk up to our usual bench and sit, turned towards one another. My heart jumps a bit seeing her in the soft orange glow of the sun. Her eyes reflect the light and resemble honey. Her teeth are big and pearly white, pairing beautifully with her heart-shaped lips. Her dark brown hair compliments her tanned complexion like no other.
She reaches her hand out and places it over mine.
"You know what would be so cute?"
"What?"
"If we carved our initials into a tree here. I've never seen or heard of anyone doing that in real life."
My face gets hot and I can't help but smile.
"Yeah that would be cool, I have my knife on me, so we could totally do it."
After we settle on the tree, she starts peeling the bark back. I pull my knife out and start stabbing my initial into the tree. I hand the knife to her and she stabs in her initial.
"Should we put a heart around it?" I look over at her, and her face crosses slightly
"Uh, yeah we can put a heart around it."
Afterwards we head back over to the bench and proceed to talk for another three and a half hours. We sprinkle our fair share of gay jokes in. Her usually initiating them, and then seeming uncomfortable when I played along. The whole experience of hanging out with her feels like I'm jumping through hoops and running around in circles.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I send Joan a picture of our tree initials and caption the message 'what does this mean?' I'm not even through the door when I get a text back.
Joan: Can I be honest with you for a second?
Me: NO!!!! okay yeah
Joan: This is really fucked up. I get that she's confused but confused people tend to hurt everyone around them. After hearing about this for the last few months I gotta be honest and just tell you that I don't really fuck with Sabrina right now. This is actual nonsense and you know that. it's not fair to you and it's not fair to her boyfriend. I get that you have your reasons to not like him but that's still her boyfriend and nothing you do can change that. She's just doing whatever she wants and she's not taking anyone else into consideration. I'm sorry, i get that she's a massive part of your life right now but i can't support this anymore.
Me: Yeah. that's all true. Idk. I wont bring it up again.
I put my phone on the charger and head into the shower. I stand in place and stare at the tiles lining the wall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I turn on my side, pulling the blanket up over my shoulder. I open instagram and go to Val's account. I've been thinking about her since I last saw her. I click the button for DM and start typing.
"Hey, it was super cool to see you again!! You're so pretty and nice, you added such a good vibe to the function, seriously."
I wish I had talked to her more, but instead I caught glimpses of her through her interactions with Charlie. She's extremely silly and a tad awkward. I noticed her being a very literal communicator. Charlie would throw her head back laughing and proceed to explain what she meant when Val would get confused.
I smile at the memory of Val's grin, which somehow burned into my brain at first sight. I scroll through my feed and the dm banner pops up across the top of my screen. She replied. My heartbeat speeds up and the corners of my mouth turn up involuntarily.
Val: Omg yesss it was cool seeing u again too. Also ur so sweet n pretty too! Next time we gotta sit next to each other bc we didn't get to talk a lot!
I like the message and click my phone off. This is good, making another friend right now might be a good way for me to build a support system and move past things with Sabrina. Joan was right, I'm very...over this.

you always loved coming to the art museum down the street during your lunch break.
it was a slower day than usual that day, so your boss let you have an extra hour off.
the exhibits had new pieces put in every friday and you loved being able to be one of the first few people to see them.
it was a weekly thing for you — coming to the museum to admire the featured works from small upcoming artists.
you always failed to notice the one girl admiring you though.
she had her eyes on you like you were a new art piece, examining your features from afar.
your hands were stuffed into both pockets of your half zipped up hoodie as you strolled across the floor, taking in each detail of every frame in front of you.
she came here just as often as you did, using it as an excuse to catch glimpses of you.
the girl was anxious and fidgety compared to your somber and peaceful demeanor. her antsy energy collided with your tranquil one across the room as she worked up the courage to come up to you and start a conversation.
thoughts of a public rejection and humiliation clouded her mind and filled her ears with responses that haven’t even been uttered yet, but nonetheless, she had a little hope that it could go well.
her hands were clammy as she rubbed them together restlessly, the sound of her heart beating at the speed of light replacing the previous scenarios.
she felt her footsteps grow heavier with every step she took closer to you, approaching you like you were a radioactive substance.
you stopped in front of a piece that intrigued you — it was one the artist left for you to interpret in different ways, just how you liked it.
as you studied the meanings of the painting, you looked to your left and saw a pretty girl standing next to you.
she was shorter, her long hair covering some of her features, and her simple dress outfit with a black coat over it drawing a smile out of you.
the girl turned her head to you and froze seeing your smile, awkwardly smiling back and shying her face away.
you watched her slightly rock back and forth on her heels and glue her eyes to the wood floor below you, wondering what’s got her so worked up.
“i really love this piece. i love the way the artist has multiple things going on to make one big picture. what do you think?”, you blurted out to fill the silence.
the girl shot her head up and flipped her gaze between you and the piece on the wall which she couldn’t care less for right now, hurriedly looking for something she can relate with.
“y-yeah, i really like the.. the details.. and the way you can see a different like scene.. if you just look at it from a different perspective.”, the girl was visibly nervous, her tone further proving it.
“exactly! i think perspective is so important in art. it shapes your view of every work you come across and how it should be interpreted, you know?”
you were glad to have someone you could share your love in art with, even if she’s a little confusingly timid.
the girl cleared her throat and nodded her head excessively, “right yeah, i know, it’s a different meaning for everyone. for me i think the piece represents the beauty of falling in love and how it unfolds.”
you smiled and tilted your head curiously, her response being exactly the one you wanted to hear.
“wow, that’s actually crazy”, you said, laughing slightly.
“what is?”, the girl answered hesitantly.
“i see the piece the exact same way. the way it shows the first stages of falling in love with someone. like here’s the infatuation stage and the euphoria of it. that’s why this part is a little messy”, you slid one hand out of your pocket to point at the area you were talking about, “it represents the blurry feeling you get when you’re in that state.”
you turned to look at the girl and observed her reaction, stuffing your hand back into the pocket it was in.
she was already staring at you when you looked back, probably not even focused on anything you just said.
she smiled and silently agreed with you, nodding her head again and scanning her eyes over your face — almost like she was in some sort of infatuation stage.
“yeah.. i feel the same way.”, her doe eyes locked onto yours, entrancing you.
there was a pause in the air, both of you only focused on each other.
“i’m.. i’m y/n.”
you turned your body to fully face her, holding out your hand to shake hers.
she reached her own hand up to meet with yours, the both of you grasping each other in a firm handshake.
“i’m chaeyoung.”
your eyes didn’t leave hers yet, too scared they might disappear if you looked away.
“it’s nice to meet you, chaeyoung.”
chaeyoung’s hands were soft and warm, but not too warm and not too cold either.
she let her grip on your hand go, ending the handshake, but you wished it didn’t end there.
“it’s nice to meet you too, y/n. would you maybe wanna.. grab a coffee with me? there’s a small cafe just down the street.”, chaeyoung almost regretted asking, mentally punching herself to prepare for your rejection.
“yeah! i would love to.”
she raised her eyebrows slightly in shock, shaking her head to refocus.
“okay.. okay! come on, i’ll lead us there.”, she said, motioning for you to follow her.
as you two walked down the street, you both engaged in light small talk, getting to know each other beyond your shared love for art.
“so.. do you come to the museum often?”
of course chaeyoung knew you came often. every friday at around 12 pm. she just didn’t wanna look like some complete freak who stalked you.
“yeah i do actually, i come during my lunch break since i work not too far from here. what about you?”
“i go sometimes to destress from work and whatnot, it’s a nice way to get my mind off of things i guess.”, she said, shrugging.
you hummed in response, slightly upset that she seemed to have a lot on her shoulders.
the two of you arrived at the entrance of the cafe, chaeyoung speeding up a bit to open the door for you.
you giggled at her kind gesture, thanking her and holding the door for her on your way in.
as you ordered your drink at the counter, she was just as attentive as the barista taking your order, silently telling herself to memorize it and bring it for you the next time you meet.
you two sat down at a table in a far corner, sipping your drinks and continuing your conversation beforehand.
when you got lost in explaining some work drama to chaeyoung, she pulled out a pen and started scribbling on a blank napkin.
after you finished your rambling and looked at chaeyoung, you saw her constantly looking up at you and back down to her napkin, her pen moving skillfully.
“okay, done! sorry, you just looked really pretty, i had to draw this moment before it went away.”
chaeyoung slid the napkin across the table and you finally got to see what she had been working on when you were going off about your dumb coworker.
it was a sketch of you, arm on the table with your chin resting on your palm. she managed to perfectly capture the way your hair was styled, the way your smile shined, even down to the rings you wore on your fingers.
“wow, chaeyoung this is amazing.. how did you even draw this so fast?”, you said, amazed at her skill as you examined the intricate details she put into it.
“it’s pretty easy when your muse is nice to look at.”
you couldn’t control your burning cheeks and forming smile at her flirty remarks anymore, tilting your head down to hide your face.
chaeyoung wasn’t lying either. she thought you were the prettiest girl she had ever laid eyes on, and she was glad she finally took her chance and talked to you.
hearing your passion about art was the cutest thing ever to her. your genuine love for it attracted her to you more than she could imagine.
she wanted to know everything about you.
more than just the way you perceived the world, more than your coffee order, more than what irritated you about incompetent people at work.
she wanted to know what made you feel most loved. what it would be like to come home to you.
“whatever.. my turn to draw you now.”, you said, still giggling like an idiot.
you reached over to grab her pen off the table and took the napkin from under your cup to scribble your own sketch of her.
chaeyoung watched you patiently and noticed the way you hid your “drawing” with your free hand, slightly furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.
“aaand done! do you like it?”
you slid your napkin over to chaeyoung and observed her as she looked over the piece of paper.
the fact is, you didn’t draw anything special at all.
your idea of a sketch of chaeyoung was writing your phone number down and drawing hearts and smiley faces everywhere.
chaeyoung broke out into laughter at your antics, rubbing her thumb over the material.
“i do, i really like it.”
you reached into your pocket to check the time on your phone, realizing you had about 10 minutes to walk back to work.
slightly saddened, you put your phone away and held your face in both of your hands on the table this time, beaming at chaeyoung.
“well i have to get back to work, but make sure you interpret that drawing reeeally carefully, it’s an important one.”, you said, scooting your chair back to stand up and grabbing your drink.
“oh i will, don’t worry. i’ll be sure to consider every single detail.”, chaeyoung said as she watched you grab your things.
you laughed at her playing along, “i’ll see you next friday then?”
chaeyoung smiled and dropped her hands to her lap, still holding onto your art piece.
“next friday it is.”
you nodded and smiled at chaeyoung one last time, walking towards the door and looking back to mouth a “call me” and gesture a phone with your pinky and pointer fingers.
chaeyoung chuckled and watched as you headed back to your regular life.
when you completely disappeared from view out the window, chaeyoung drew her eyes back to the napkin in her lap, inspecting it again and scoffing to herself with a big smile on her face.
moments of your hour together flashed through her mind, making her blush as she pulled out her phone and went to her messages.
she typed your number in, making sure she didn’t miss a single digit.
chaeyoung was twiddling her thumbs over her screen, figuring out the perfect thing to text you.
she tapped the sides of her phone while she attempted to think of something, slowly growing frustrated with herself.
and the best thing she came up with?
hiii it’s chaeyoung :p

Tumblr media
You'd always loved taking care of your appearance. To say you had a feminine side was a massive understatement. You'd always been mistaken for being straight due to how feminine you were and the clothing you wore. Truly it was a pain when in the dating pool. Most women by passed you not catching on to how truly sapphic you are, after all you had absolutely no interest in dating a man at all. So when you met Emily in the coffee shop you worked at, you were surprised she immediately began to flirt with you. A competition between her and her team mate Derek over who would get your number, of course Emily won. That's what lead you to being in a relationship with a bad ass FBI agent.
Very early on you realised Emily liked to take the protective role over you, something you enjoyed. It was no surprise the woman was dominant in the bedroom which suited you down to the ground as a submissive. You often brought Emily coffee or a treat from work when you got off early. A nice surprise for her, you soon learned doughnuts and coffee were a good choice with all the BAU members when you visited.
Garcia always particularly loved your visits, she loved to see if you had your nails done, what colours and styles they were and even suggested some pretty cool designs. One particular visit to the BAU inspired a beautiful idea. Emily had been working a lot recently. You craved her attention but it seemed she was never around to provide that. If she wasn't working she was sleeping. Even her popping into the shop to get coffee didn't happen anymore. So you decided to treat yourself. If Emily wasn't around you had no reason to keep your nails limited to gel and just a tiny bit of length, so you booked an appointment for later in the afternoon thanks to a cancellation and some of Garcias ideas.
After they had been done, you couldn't help but feel more you. Truly, you'd missed the feeling of long nails, taking back to dealing with them like a duck to water. You'd have to remember to thank Garcia for the design idea because it was simply stunning. You headed home for what you thought was the usual routine, dinner alone where Emily would text saying she'll be home soon and to eat some dinner she'll reheat hers when she's home. You'd then binge some tv with some wine before going to bed alone. But how wrong you were.
When you arrived home you failed to see your girlfriends car in the drive, there she was sat at the kitchen table, holding a glass of red wine appearing to be deep in thought. "Hi baby" you chirped up a hand on your chest, unintentionally showing off the new long nails. "Here I was thinking I was going to surprise a good girl tonight, it seems I have a brat on my hands. Isn't that right sweetheart" she purred using her work voice.
You decided to take innocence while continuing to show your nails off, "baby? I have no idea what you are on about. I got my nails done. Do you like them?"  You handed her your right hand so she could examine them. "Sweetheart, what's daddy's one rule about nails?" It was a rhetorical question, you knew that but your inner brat couldn't help herself, "rules? I didn't think you cared too much" you murmured knowing damn well she was very particular about your nails. It was okay having them done, but for her, long nails meant limited options in the bedroom and that wasn't something she wanted. You knew that. You'd both agreed on the rule so she knew this was a ply for attention.
That's how you ended up tied to your bed, your girlfriend eating you out, making you cum multiple times. All you could do is lay there and take everything she was giving you. Your girlfriend never did anything by halves so it was unsurprising that you were going to endure multiple orgasms until you were begging her to stop.
"Daddy please more, need you inside" you whined thrashing against the restraints. "You wanted my attention sweetheart, now you have it you're complaining? Here I thought you were daddy's good girl" she murmured, your juices dripping down her chin. "I'm good! I'll be good! Please!" You whined watching as she came to untie you and search the room for her chosen toy for the night. One that was both of your favourite. You watched her strap up and fill the strap with lube.
"Now sweetheart you're gonna take daddy's cock right? You're needy cunt suffocating it as daddy pounds into you. Gonna be good for me right? My good girl" she murmured teasing your leaking hole with her cocks head. "Oh please daddy. Please I'll be so good. Your good girl" you whimpered.
The moment you felt her enter your core you were truly blissed out. Incredibly sensitive but also incredibly needy. Torn between more and stopping. Her pace was fast and rough, her only goal to get you off once again. All you could do is whimper and mewl as you took her.  "Daddy!" You squealed as you came for her once again. Only she didn't stop, all she did was slip your leg over her shoulder to hit deeper in your core. "No daddy no more. No please I'm sorry stop" you whimpered only for her to continue due to you not safe wording. "Come on sweetheart one more okay? You're such a good girl for me baby" was all it took for you to fall over that edge once more. Legs shaking and mind fuzzy as you felt her shoot her cum into your cunt before slipping out of you and immediately starting your aftercare routine.
Making sure you were all cleaned up, she padded her way to the kitchen to grab some water and chocolate as a snack to boost your sugar. Even grabbing a can of soda for you knowing you won't want water but you need it. You were in sub space still by the time Emily returned. "Hey sweetheart, I have your snacks baby. Can you sit for me gorgeous?" She murmured to you watching as your brain tried to comprehend her words. "Mmmm?"
She helped you sit up against the bed's headboard, "come on baby let's get some water and food in you darling" she helped you sip some water and munch on some chocolate. She continued to speak to you even though you couldn't really comprehend the words, knowing her voice would help bring you back in your own time. "You're such a good girl for me sweetheart, those are very pretty nails baby, maybe we can do them shorter next time okay?" She murmured coming to kiss you sweetly. "Mmm I do short" you whimpered shuffling to snuggle into the woman. "Thank you baby, you're such a good girl" and with that simple phrase you were smothered I kisses held in her arms as you fell asleep with your girlfriend. Plan successfully completed.

Ok so @bibibbon made a post about the leaks and we can all conclude how Hori cant write basic shit and gives 0 fucks. But I was reading the summary of a fic and yes its yaoi -no, no bkdk for once- and wont say the name nor ships but the summary got my attention.
"Izu was told he is useless all his life...now he is good at fucking powerful men"
No hate to yaoi here please nor the fic.
But it hit me! Hori can't write about mental abuse and how it affect your self steem.
@doodlegirl1998 and @sapphic-agent mentioned in their blogs how Hori couldn't do justice to many plotline HE introduced. Which YES but also...he can't do the basic. He cant show how abuse like this shapes someone.
Izu says since chap 1 he is useless...this is not normal.
"But Hori could have done plot X better" if he cant treat his mc better...any other plot fails.
Also this image here encapsulates MHA in a nutshell
Tumblr media
No hate to AM here...its just...those girls dont see Izu at all? A kid cleaning a beach on his own. I get the logic here, a big celebrity overshadow everyone but...you have to admit this scene illistrates how Izu will be treated. Also....why make a secret Izu is cleaning ge beach?
Sorry it's just MHA has so many holes and mean spirit. Eri's rewind never was show to do more than rewind YOU out of existence...but she menaged to rewind Mirio to have his quirk- well, shouldn't he struggle then? If he got rewind from day 1...shouldn't he have to train again?- Hori makes everything unfair to Izu and for what?
What we, as a reader, gain?
Mustard and Izu are similar too. I agree with Bibi's post. He was forgetten by the narrative - I guess he was in the prison. He is a minor but details- as Izu is too.
The evil quirk thing happens to characters we dont have time to care. "His quirk is evil" says to a character with 4 lines and out of the story entirely...and no one changes.
Also...fuck Shig. He abandoned his comrades again.
I like Shig but...besties...Shig is not this "caring and UwU king" he would gladly sell LoV if it means his goals will reach. Same to Dabi.
He just never was in a position where it was asked him "destruction or LoV"
