it was really fucking cool and a definite step up from Chapter 133. This chapter does well to inform you that we *are* at the final battle now, and nothing is stopping this story from crashing to a sudden end pretty damn soon.

This chapter, like every other in the volume, feels like it was stretching. I was actively bored reading it. With so few chapters left, does Isayama really have time to stretch this much? He has so many loose ends to tie up and it's concerning. He obviously wanted a volume cliffhanger with the alliance facing Eren so I hope that his pacing next volume is much tighter because this ain't it, chief

Bruh I have been waiting for this so long and Isayama fucking DELIVERED. I was so worried with all the build-up and sometimes sloppy pacing that the final Eren vs Alliance showdown wouldn't live up to the hype but NOPE, it was amazing and beyond expectations. The moment where the refugees realize that Paradis forces had come to save them?? Gold. Beautiful. 10/10. Isayama I am sorry for ever doubting you, you are a god and I am thankful for your existence.

WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT? 1,692 Responses

It was a very close race, but “the crowd attempting to save the baby” ultimately came out on top and once again demonstrated the fanbase’s affinity for despair… or was it hope this time? In a close second comes Armin’s cliffhanger question to Eren, third place going to Reiner stomping the Beast Titan, which beat the rumbling scenery across the world by a single vote, which beat seeing the final audio by a single vote. If the extremely close results mean anything, this chapter certainly had something for everyone.

The crowd lifting the baby to safety is an image that will leave a permanent mark on me. I don’t have words to describe that scene.

Honestly, each goddamn panel is impacting, exciting or badass. I love the Historia scene, the chaos and destruction left me speechless, Karina and Mr. Leonhart's reflexion was heartbreaking, as well as the Marleyan general's.

I could never really decide what’s my favorite scene or anything, it’s all just amazing.

as an eren stan it was rly brutal and eye opening to actually see all the innocent people and kids dying, overall it was a great chapter, just very gruesome

i cried when i saw the families saying goodbye. seeing eren as the founding titan hurts too.

28 months since we last saw Historia in the present time, and now we finally see her again. But is this one page worth the wait? 36.6% are glad that this plot point is finally coming back, 33.1% are glad to see her but wish we’d gotten her side of the story, 12.3% are glad it seems to be a real pregnancy, and 11.6% are done with Isayama’s handling of her in the story.

I thought she was only like five months pregnant.

None of the above options square with how I feel. Historia's perspective (in addition to Eren's) is being set up as the final "basement"; so while I can see why some are frustrated, it has actually piqued my interest to see where this may end up

Each chapter I become increasingly pessimistic about Historia as a character. In the beginning of this chapter when we got the close-up of her eyes as she closed them in pain, I was certain the next page would have her inner monologue as she thought back on how she got into this position. But instead it cuts away, us seeing absolutely nothing from Historia, and I'm back to thinking she really has no agency anymore. Even if she is super important in the ending and a pivotal player in determining the state of the world after the rumbling, it won't be worth what she's been reduced to. To be fair, she was in one scene in Return to Shiganshina, no scenes in Marley arc, and this arc... well, we know how she's been treated. So maybe I should have seen this coming, but it was still disappointing for Isayama to hint that she will have a role this arc like in Uprising arc, only for that to be a breeding machine.

Why Historia was crying when she was having a child?

She finally is realizing the regret of the pregnancy decision and that she once again chose something she didn't necessarily want to do.

her life was always miserable and I don't believe that she will get some ray of light. She was the happiest when she had Ymir by her side. Now, even if she survives and has her child with her, she will always feel the heavy weight of her decision and the blood of millions innocent people will always stay on her hands.

I'm dropping the series after this. It just hurts seeing a queer-coded character like Historia constantly being beaten and reduced to literally nothing. First it was Ymir's death. Then Zeke's plan that involved her having children to be eaten by them (WHY NOT HAVE ZEKE IMPREGNATE WOMEN? WHY MUST IT BE THE QUEER FEMALE CHARACTER?? WHO'S ALSO THE QUEEN?). Then all the talk about her as a mere breeder, as a not-so-walking womb. Then the awful, awful ship-tease with Eren. Then her not opposing Eren's plan?? This is just it. I was holding onto the fake pregnancy, but now I envy the people who dropped the series once they saw the first panel of her pregnant.

I am tired of Tumblr crying over Historia. You are taking this pregnancy plot way too seriously. Newsflash: women don't automatically lose their agency when they get pregnant, kinda problematic of you to think that's what's going on. Historia has a plan and we will hear it

I think this may be a HUGE death flag for her. I mean if he can kill Sasha off with a gun says who histortia can’t be killed off by child birth?

Historia gets what she deserves. She agreed to help Eren and now A LOT of innocent mothers and children is losing their lives in the rumbling. Historia has their blood on her hands and she won't be free from it. I don't feel sorry for her, at all.

If there's any character, besides Eren, who has humanity's blood on their hands, it's Historia, and her labor acting as a prelude to the moment that will decide the fate of humanity is incredibly poetic.

Hisu's baby is definitely having a titan inherited. So someone with titan powers will die in the final battle.

The Titans drove Pennywise off that cliff

I really liked how it shows the different places where the rumblings is effecting like the Snk London etc

I’m a little confused about the timeline and placement of the cliffs and where the Titans are. Can someone explain how the Titans were seen pushing people off the cliff sides (also how were so many people herded into the middle of nowhere to be shoved off the cliffs?) and then also seen heading toward the fleeing Eldian/Marleyans? Are those two different places, a montage, etc? Do we suspend some disbelief to take in the apocalyptic scene of people falling from the cliffs into the sea? The opening scenes had me a bit turned around.

These shots where absolute nightmare fuel and they did an amazing job at showing how horrifying this situation is

I didn't think the cliff scene was that dark tbh, it was actually faintly uplifting. Though I also felt that way after reading chapter 131, so maybe I think that about any tragedy Isayama depicts.

Kruger saw his entire Family burn to death

It's a dark moment but I also think it's sort of hopeful, that humanity isn't completely fucked and they're all eager to try save this child rather than let it fall and die.

The entire imagery of masses of people barely hanging for their lives at the edge of a cliff is so abyssmal and daunting. This is seriously peak bleakness SnK. I still can't believe that there are people that support Eren after this.

he opening panels of the Rumbling were some of the most horrifying so far, especially the one with the baby.

This was, to me, possibly the single most powerful moment in the ENTIRE series -- and that's not something I say lightly.

Very little about this manga shocks me anymore. This moment is really no worse or better compared to every other disturbing scene

TV Tropes has an entry called Darkness Induced Audience Apathy and that pretty much sums up my feelings at this point. Everything is so unrelentingly bleak and miserable that I’m rapidly losing my ability to care about these characters and what happens to them anymore.

THE GENERAL AT FORT SALTA GAVE A SPEECH ABOUT HATE AND MISTAKES, WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT? 1,663 Responses

In the face of annihilation, the general stationed at Fort Salta has an epiphany on the path that brought everyone there. A solid 60% of respondents thought it was a great speech – it covers perhaps the grandest theme of the final arc of the story and someone needed to hammer home the message. 27.3% liked the message of the speech but thought it was a little too ham-fisted for the moment, but 6.8% just thought it was silly.

The general at Fort Salta’s words were really... desperate. It showed the truth of Eren’s rampage as the founding and I think it showed that Eren was more than what he hoped to become. He shows no pity now: I don’t even think he cares about the 104th and co. anymore. Really dark and I’m living for it.

The parts with no speech was great. Isayama is great with visuals which I love. The Marleyan speech was very cringe unfortunately.

Great to see the world let go of their hatred for the enemy. Still, Eren's stubborn charge is pissing me off!

I think it was honestly fine, but one tiny change could have been made to make it flow more naturally and not be so jarring to so many people: Rather than having the general talk about "us adults", and how "we" used hatred, I think it would have been more natural if he only talked about himself. This is a very common trope in war movies, and we're all capable of reading in between the lines and understanding how what he says applies to the different characters and the world as a whole. For him to point it out for us is a little jarring

It was a desperate man's final words, and it showed.

It was a fitting speech that showed the Marleyans were finally ready to let go of their hatred towards the Eldians. It also felt like last-ditch speech to try to move Eren into reconsidering flattering the whole world with the Rumbling, but knowing Eren, the speech wouldn't sway him at all.

It was way to convenient and unrealistic for the general and the liberio Eldians to realize that they were wrong and I hope they die. That is all.

It was good to see they realized how terrible they were but as a wise man once said... “It’s too laaate to apologiiize. It’s too laaaaaaaate! Ay. Ay. Ay.”

Its good because its shows the message of the series of trying to stop the cycle of hate by either changing our actions or by sacrificing others for the "greater good". Placement is not bad tho, the general is realizing it is the true end

I understand it, but I’m also bothered by the suggested idea that it took total annihilation to make people decide to finally “be considerate” of each other. It also feels very black and white to me, some of the subtleties of this whole situation was lost I think.

It was a great speech and super satisfying moment to see non-Eldians recognize how they played a part leading up to this, but there's no guarantee there won't be residual hatred for Eldians once all of this is over.

There are many bad parents in SnK, and Karina has certainly been one of them. The majority of fans accept her seeking redemption, while 25% think it’s too little too late. 20.8% are willing to give her a chance if she proves she means it through her actions.

I liked the moment between Karina and Mr. Leonhardt. Awful parents unite. XD At least they showed a change of heart, even if it was too late.

Reiner was a tool to make Karina feel like she had worth in a world where everyone, from the man she may have loved to her nation to the rest of the world was telling her she was worthless.

Karina hated Paradis' Eldians for "abandoning" her and the others to the mainland and wanted revenge on them for that.

Clearly revenge on his father and if anyone thinks Karina intended on Reiner being used to get revenge on Paradis is really reaching to villify Karina.

I believe it's "both of the above", but with the revenge on Paradis being from Karina, not Marley, as an allegory for Reiner's father. She always talks about how Paradis abandoned the Eldians on Marley, and I figured this was her way of expressing the sorrow and anger at Reiner's father for abandoning her and Reiner. So she did believe Paradis were devils who abandoned them, but that was fuelled by her personal issue

I didn’t and still don’t understand what Karina means by revenge.

It was both but also to give herself a higher status given her self-hatred.

WHAT IS THE BEAST TITAN WE SAW? 1,668 Responses

That was unexpected! The Beast Titan showed up, but not in a way we saw anyone predict. A very close tie between it being Zeke’s beast being controlled/manipulated and it being a War Hammer formation created by Eren, with the former just edging out the latter. 14% believe Eren can make titans however he wants via the Founding Titan/paths, and 2.4% think this was just straight up Zeke.

Don’t know, very confused. But whenever I don’t clearly see the eyes of a character, I usually feel like something fishy is going on....

I think he used the Founding Titan powers, not the WH. Ymir/the founding titan is the one that builds the titan forms so I think that makes more sense.

I do believe eren is controlling him since his titan was attached to eren at the neck, and then reiner broke that off.

I think it's Zeke being mind controlled and treated like a puppet by Eren.

I think Zeke is crystalized somewhere in the Founders body and Eren is using him to create a zombie Beast Titan.

It could be Zeke in there, it could be a clone. Nonetheless it's a puppet and he still needs Zeke to do a complete exact rendition.

It took Eren all three powers of the Founder, WHT, and Beast Titan, combined to pull this off. The WHT alone can create anything with hardening but i doubt it could create another titan moving by itself.

It's obviously a War Hammer construct, but I can't stop laughing at the idea that the Alliance don't realise how vastly different he looks. It kind of reminds me of when they would go "There's no opening in the Armored Titan's armor, it's covering everything" even though there's clearly spaces in between where you can see the red muscle

Despite us fans freaking out every time we see Ymir, the alliance doesn’t seem to care. 43.9% believe they’ve just been a little too busy to focus on the minutiae of the lore, while 39.5% just have no idea. 11.1% don’t think they saw her standing there in the first place.

Did any of them really know who the little girl was?

Do they recognize her! Are they familiar with the iconography of this creation story? Either way, they’re probably at the “Oh look, Eren’s in his child body and standing with a little girl who is the progenitor of our race. This might as well happen.”

They don't wanna face the fact they have to kill Eren, plus killing the beast titan may be easier than killing the founding titan

They still are still not as informed of the relationship between Eren and Ymir, their first goal is to rid the connection of royal blood to Eren preventing further destruction

Only Eren can see Ymir since he has the founding Titan, as well as Zeke since he has royal blood. The rest can see Eren because he has the founding Titan and is connected to all Eldians and Ackermanns via paths.

seems like they hold Zeke more accountable to the rumbling than Eren himself. Yeah I get it, he's their friend. But fuck that, humanity is at stakes, and when Zeke turned against the warriors, they accepted that they had to kill him, even if they didn't wan't to (especially Pieck), even if he was their comrade and leader, even if they grew up together, because it needed to done.

Surprising no one (except for 5.6% of you from last month who predicted the blimps would deal a decisive blow), Eren tore through the bombing fleet like it was nothing. On a 1-5 scale from “Abysmal” to “They tried their best, okay?”, the plurality of you have decided to lend some sympathy to the squadron, with some erring on the side of neutrality. Low expectations seem to have prevented disappointment, as not many people are criticizing them in the write ins either.

as a WWI nerd I really disappointed by the airship "battle." Isayama has done his research on some aspects of early modern day tech (like the detail on the firearms), but then has the airships dropping what looks like submarine depth charges instead of zeppelin bombs (I was like--why are they dropping oil canisters?!) and then has the airships go down in Hollywood-style explosions from having rocks thrown on them.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART IN THE PLANE’S ARRIVAL? 1,659 Responses

Reiner's transformation is probably my favourite one, and seeing the rest of the alliance jumping down in a tense but at the same time epic scene was priceless.

Chekhov’s bombs are now in the hands, er, mouth, of Pieck Finger, via grabbing them from the plane and transforming into a titan while holding them. About half of fans had no issue with this, seeing that titan transformations are just summoning flesh around you. 17.5% did think the transformation explosion should have detonated them, and 30% are just wondering how she also managed to perfectly unravel the bombs midair.

Bold of you to imply Isayama cares about physics after the wet gun and the plane being ready in 5 minut... 1 hour excuse me.

Bombs are detonated through fire reacting to the gunpowder right? Do we know that the Titan's 'explosions' are made from fire?

Pieck has probably done this many times before, the cart titan is mainly used as a war mule after all.

Cart titan has experienced in carrying things in different situations and the explosives shown could be improvised. Also, these types are initiated with fire and will not explode with any impact occurred.

I assumed that she let go of the bombs, transformed, then caught them. This does not bother me in the slightest.

I find it weird everyone (SC, warriors, the world) is blaming themselves for everything and readers are using their pre-death laments as a confirmation that Eren is right/justified. I don't like Eren being portrayed just like the product of his context, especially because he himself deny it and many chapters exist to reforce that (100, 121, 123, 130, 131, etc). I feel nobody is treating Eren as an individual, but as a force of nature coming to punish humanity for their sins. It's uncomfortable, because he's just a person like everybody else and not a god even if he has some god-like powers.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about it yet but in one of the manga panel you can see levi holding his sword in his way as if he had all his fingers back. So I think he does.

Save for chapters 130-131, the manga has been noticeably become underwhelming since 124. Like I implied above, there are many hints that this manga is going to have a GOT season 8 tier ending. Eren will be defeated and all the hate in the world will magically disappear. There will be some sort of unity between Marley and Cringevengers that brings peace to the world even though it shouldn't realistically be possible. And lastly, that baby near the cliff will end up living at the last moment and will end up being the baby from the final panel. "You are free", most likely being held by Armin or Reiner.

This is all a series of bad plot choices falling like domino. Are things gonna work out once we get to final revelations? Probably. Is it gonna feel earned? At this point I doubt it. I miss the passion in this story. Char. develp. has never been the finest but they've always been human. Historia's a uterus. Eren just cares about his freedom. Dialogue falls flat as if Isayama didn't believe in what he writes and he's trying so hard to force feed the reader. If the rumbling is the final stop why was half of this necessary when it gave no closure to any character? But if it isn't, we deserved a real build up of events.

Zeke finally back but we still didn't know if he being controlled or willingly

Ever since 133, it's two chapters which have amazing elements but ultimately falls off as dissapointing. The plot needs to move forward. I thought we were going to have Bertholttalk and Ackertalk. 132 was such a masterpiece of a chapter that it becomes a let down.

Everyone told Eren early on that he'd have to abandon his humanity to make a difference, to save Paradis- especially Armin. Regardless of whose on which side, its ironic that now Armin is the one who can't accept this.

It’s the first time I take part in event like this. When I noticed concert day, I knew I need to do this, since instrumental music is my the biggest passion. I love jazz and classical piano so much, even though piano is not my favourite instrument.

It's great to combine my love for Miraculous and instrumental/classical music. I'm not a musician, but I can do it by drawing a fanart which illustrates music scene with my favourite side of Love Square.

It’s one of my first attempts at drawing humans from years, I’ve never been good at it, Miraculous gives me lots of motivations to improve my terrible skills. I prefer drawing things like animals or various creatures (so also Kwamis), but humans are getting more and more enjoyable. So there’s lots of anatomy mistakes and so on, but it’s not too bad for now, I guess. Despite I made many improvements during drawing it, there’s still something wrong with Marinette’s face and I couldn’t fix it enough.

Some background for this fanart:

I imagine it’s a first private concert which Adrien is playing specially for Marinette, he even rents a concert hall (he’s rich and romantic enough to something as much extravagant) when it’s not used. It’s not just one piece or two, he’s playing about 1-hour long piano recital (look at playlist below) only for his girlfriend (and magical creatures). It’s post-reveal, so Kwamis also can enjoy it without being hidden. While Tikki is excited about it not less than Marinette, Plagg is more interested in his Sugarcube, since he’s used to listening to Adrien’s piano and sometimes he’s playing with him. But rather cheerful jazzy-like improvised pieces, because he doesn’t like classical as much, especially sad compositions (Feast gave me some thoughts like these). Adrien decides to give a concert in a melancholic theme (so slow, soft, beautiful etc. pieces are played) to make this date as much romantic as he can. Even though blond boy is usually closing his eyes while playing on piano (like many instrumentalists), he can’t stop staring at his sweet girlfriend with his signature soft look™.

One of my the biggest wishes is to see a scene when Adrien is playing on piano specially for Marinette, any good composition (I don’t like that one from Heart Hunter), preferably classical one. And I’d love to see an episode with a classical instrumentalist based akuma, rock and pop are not the only musical genres out there.

Classical music (and instrumental music in general) is highly unappreciated, so I'm happy when it’s represented in media, especially kid shows. This is what I love the most about classic cartoons, there’s lots of classical music. The Cat Concerto, Tom and Jerry episode which won an Academy Award, is one of the best examples of very creative use of classical piece for a slapstick comedy. Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 was even played by two pianist, by classical and jazz ones.

Classical music can be enjoyed by anyone who has some passion to music at least. It’s a very eclectic type of music where you can find everything. Classical is not only over 1-hour symphonies, there’s also compositions shorter than typical radio-friendly song. It’s not only serious music, classical can be also playful with very catchy melodies. Everyone can find something for themselves.

I'm also enjoying choosing played pieces so much and it's too hard, since there's tons of beautiful piano music, though I know only a very small part of classical world. It’s about one-hour long concert, so also recordings were chosen to last about 1 hour together.

As sonata is a musical form with several movements (usually three or four) and since not all of them fit melancholic theme of this concert, Adrien play only one or two selected movements. For example only the first movement of extremely popular Beethoven's Moonlight sonata - Adagio sostenuto - is that dark and sad piece which everyone knows. The shortest second movement Allegretto is still not fast but quite cheerful, while the last Presto agitato is... Check it yourself, it's one of my favourites music moments ever. 😊

I also decided to try selecting lesser-known compositions (but it doesn't mean they are all little-known) to promote them, so there's a chance than maybe someone gives this music a shot and discover something new to appreciate.

Fryderyk Chopin - Nocturne in B flat minor, Op. 9 No. 1 - I couldn't choose anything else for the beginning. Nocturnes are my favourites Chopin's compositions and this one I love the most. No word describe how much I adore it, it's the most beautiful piece ever composed.

Franz Schubert - Minuet in A Major, D. 334 - The first time I heard it, I thought about Adrien. I think this short sweet piece describes his childlike innocence quite well.

Fryderyk Chopin - Prelude Op.28 No.15 in D Flat Major, "Raindrop" - This thing is shown on the screen of Adrien's smartphone in few episodes (like Captain Hardrock), but for some reason it's not what's actually played. I have no idea if it was supposed to be played, but was changed after rendering was done or it's just an error. It's so nice composition, though not my favourite Chopin's prelude, even if it's the longest one. Unfortunately, the piece which is actually heard in the show is unknown for me, I'd love to discover it, but I can't. All I know it's definitely not any other Chopin's prelude.

Ludwig van Beethoven - Piano Sonata No. 31 in A-flat major, Op. 110 - I. Moderato cantabile molto espressivo and III. Adagio ma non troppo – Allegro ma non troppo - It’s almost the whole sonata, the only missing thing is the shortest second movement. It's probably my favourite piano sonata, so I couldn't not choosing it.

Franz Liszt - Consolation No. 3 in D-Flat Major, S. 172 - If once I wonder why I love this, this is because it's so Chopin-esque.

Franz Schubert - Piano Sonata No.16 in A minor D.845 - I. Moderato - I discovered this wonderful composition thanks to Nodame Cantabile, my favourite anime and manga ever, which is focused on classical music college students and professional classical musicians. Two main characters are also opposites who learn much from each other. I gave a link to the performance made specially for Nodame Cantabile, because I'm mostly attached to it. Usually this piece is played faster and it kills the atmosphere in my opinion. This rendition is the most emotional I've ever heard.

How would be this list without any French composers? I believe Ravel and Debussy are a mustm since they are the most known and important, I believe, and I also added something from Satie, because he wrote lots of soft compositions for piano solo. Chopin was also half-French (from his father), but: "Chopin's biographer Adam Zamoyski writes that he never considered himself to be French, despite his father's French origins, and always saw himself as a Pole." (source: Wikipedia) Besides Chopin's music is very Polish.

Many beautiful things are missing, probably the most fitting for this concert would be Liszt's Liebestraum No. 3, since it's love music essentially, but it's too well-known (one of the most popular if not the most popular compostion by Liszt) and I'm kind of tired of this. I'm also very sad because of Chopin's Prelude in E Minor, but two pieces of the same composers are enough and this is his the most known prelude, too. I couldn't not recommend this jazz trio cover, because it's too good, too atmospheric though a different take on this theme.

Jazz musicians are often turning compositions into something much different. Everyone knows Beethoven's Für Elise, one of the best- known and (in my opinion) boring classical pieces in existence, but this jazz trio cover (sorry, I can’t find it outside of Spotify and other streaming services, it’s a very niche band) is just outstanding, I can't stop listening to it! Jazz arrangements of classical music is something I love so much.

Whaddup it’s Good Omens episode 3 and 4!!

I don’t have THAT much to say about episode 3, not because I don’t have anything to say but mostly because episode 3 hit me with MANY FEELS and I immediately jumped to Episode 4 afterwards.

Some of these paragraphs have been copy-pasted from talking to a friend on Discord, so this is what I had for Episode 3;

this one is so full of feels and extra stuff that the book didn't have and all the FEELINGS what the fuck??? I was unprepared????? hfkjdhkfsdh wtf????I'm crying???? When did all these feelings get here??????

on to episode 4;

I finished episode 4 and we are at the point where shit is getting real!I think I like the pacing in the show much more than the book tbh

A large section of the book was spent with the Them and I remember even when reading it I was getting a little tired of the children and such. This episode basically covers that ENTIRE chunk of the book (and includes more Crowly and Aziraphale than the book too) Which is only a good thing. So I'm REALLY liking it a great deal!Also I think it goes without saying but I'm really loving the much more romantic side of their relationship too. I know that was going to be much more developed in the show than the book but that doesn't make it any more touching.

It might be the influence of the internet but I completely see it as more romantic than platonic. Those lingering stares, especially in episode 3, made it VERY clear to me. Normally I wouldn't be so quick to say that, and again it might be the influence of the internet, but I just just SEE the romance on the screen as I'm watching. I also really like the added detail of Crowly asking Aziraphale to "run away together" which was not in the book at all. It's completely stupid and absurd and it's incredibly sweet.

Also I feel it’s worth mentioning the weird pacing I was feeling in episode 1 is completely gone. It might be I was not in the right mindset for episode 1 and that’s why it felt so fast pace to me, or it was simply a case of needing to set things up very quickly so the story could get rolling as fast as possible and we didn’t get bogged down by the prelude.

I also find that tone which I was describing as cartoonish in episode 2 has also gone down a great amount. There’s some of it still here but it seems to have really gotten more grounded as a whole. I don’t know if that is simply because the stakes have been risen and things are getting more serious, if the moments with Aziraphale and Crowly which have so far been the most grounded parts of the show are removing some of the cartoonish feeling just by being rather detached from mortality and time, which makes things that would usually feel VERY cartoonish not so out of place because we’re experiencing the events with beings removed from humanity, or if again, I was simply in the wrong mind frame while watching episode 2.

It’s entirely possible when I re-watch the show that initial feeling of cartooonishness will be completely gone.

But yes, I feel the tv show is providing me what I really was craving in the book, and I mean that more than just “more Aziraphale and Crowly” which is true, but more than that, there is an emotional underline in the show which was not there in the book for these two characters.

I remember telling a friend over discord while starting the book that “I’m already falling in love with these characters”, but some part of me with the book felt that the potential I was seeing there in their friendship in the book just never quite broke out into what I was wishing it would be, whereas I feel the show is doing EXACTLY that for me.

However, it could be that I went into the book with too high expectations for the two characters, and then having read the book, went into the show with too low expentations for how often I’d see them. Resulting in this weird imbalance.

Nevertheless, I am extremely happy I decided to read the book first, because I was unsure which version to do first of all. I feel this is the best possible outcome, because if I had watched the series first I would have been too eager to see “more” of the relationship in the show which simply doesn’t exist in the book, and I would have been disappointed by this.

But I feel I could not have set myself up better, and I’m really happy about that.

Also I was gonna add this to the previous posts but that is getting WAY too long for people’s dash, so I’m making it a new post under the same tag.

I’ll watch Episode 4 tomorrow I think because it’s 1am right now.

Sorry if it sounds like I’m bashing the book. I really am not. If it wasn’t for my enjoyment of the book I wouldn’t have gotten the DVDs. So even though I may be preferring the show, this does not mean I dislike the book at all! Just in case that wasn’t clear.

There’s actually a few scenes in the book I was disappointed to see gone. However, I feel episode 3 has made up for those omissions in spades. So I’m no longer cranky about my fave drama moments being gone.

Wolffe:usually when he kisses his partner and looks into his eyes saying “I want you”in a growled whisper it’s more than enough to get the mood going.

Takeout: Do you and your partner “eat out”often?

Cody: yesss,especially when he wants to reward them for behaving nicely. Also, there’snothing better to prep them for penetration than some good oral.

Fives: 69,anyone? To him, there are few things as delicious as eating out a lover whilethey do the same to you. Also, as Cody said fingering + oral are great ways toprep your partner, and so far he’s gotten nothing but compliments over the wayhis goatee feels against his partner’s crotch.

Wolffe: Itdoesn’t matter to him, especially since he can make his partner come with hishands alone. He’s glad about, hm, his size though, because it sure isentertaining – and very arousing – to watch his partner struggling a bit to getall of him in their mouth.

Meow: Shaved or natural?

Cody: shaved.He thinks it looks cleaner and sexier.

Fives:trimmed. He’s too lazy to shave, but he doesn’t want to look like he doesn’tcare.

Wolffe: hedoesn’t mind shaving if his partner says they like it better that way, but mostof the time he keeps it loosely trimmed. It’s so annoying to keep having toshave it over and over.

Gossip: Do you sleep and tell?

Cody: He doeslike to share his stories with Rex or Fox, but he will omit any details aboutwho his partner was or what they looked like. He doesn’t want them to end inthe GAR gossip mill, that’d be rude and wrong.

Fives: Nope.He lets the hickeys on his neck do the talking, and he’ll have the mostannoying smug face for the rest of the day.

Wolffe: No.These are private matters, and no one needs to know about them. He’s not astarry-eyed shiny anymore.

FirstTime: Who was yourfirst time with?

Cody: Acharming civilian he met at a night out with his troopers. They were verygentle, which was great because Cody was trying to pretend not to be nervousabout it.

Fives: Acivilian he would meet at the 79’s every other weekend to talk, dance and makeout with. One day they asked him if they’d like to go to their place, and whyin the moons would he say no? By the time they got there, he was the oppositeof his cocky, talky self: all shy and asking for guidance. The civilian was verysweet and took things slowly, and it was great. Fives still has an openrelationship with them.

Wolffe: A nat-bornsoldier from the army. They met once during an assignment and they really hitit off while talking about annoying droids and amazing generals. Wolffe andthem dated for a while, and his first time with them was amazing. They’re nottogether anymore, but they’re still friends, and that means a lot for a manlike Wolffe.

Keep itDown!: Are you loudwhen you make love?

Cody: the realquestion is: can he make his partners be loud while they make love? And theanswer is a long, drawn-out, moaned “yes”.

Fives: loudand wordy. “You like that, huh?”, “Hnn, you feel so good…”, “Yeah, darling don’tstop” as well as plenty of groans and moans.

Wolffe: “loud”is not the word, he’s more… noisy. Grunts, growls, rich purrs, hissed curses.Hmmmmm….

Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder rant

Seeing Natalie Portman returning to reprise her role as Jane Foster, nevertheless wielding Mjolnir, finally getting the treatment this character deserves, was surreal to say the least. I had just started reading Lords of Midgard, the 8th issue of Mighty Thor (2015 - 2018), and had fallen in love already. But I didn't suspect at all that Taika Waititi would pull this card in Thor: Love and Thunder, considering Jane was barely mentioned in Ragnarok. The news about my favorite actress portraying one of my favorite characters coming out of the blue - you can imagine the excitement. Alas, I quickly remembered what the fandom thought of that comic (at least on tumblr) and imagined it now growing tenfold, cuz not everyone in the MCU fandom reads comics but pretty much everyone wants to watch another Thor movie. And yes, many fans weren't ready for this step, still recovering from Sam Wilson getting the shield in Endgame. Which is completely fine. We're not obligated to like everything Marvel throws in our faces, we're allowed to criticize and express our opinion on the internet or wherever. What is not okay is mindlessly hating, and even worse - using false facts to support said opinion.

I have seen some people using the argument that it is one of Marvel's worst selling comics. Which has already been proven wrong by multiple sites, including Comichron, just Google it, as I did myself. I read multiple posts, ones saying how good Jane is doing as Thor in sales, others disproving this, so I checked for myself the numbers at the site mentioned above month by month to be sure. The comic truly had its downfalls as the story progressed but in my opinion it's normal for the 1st issue to have more sales than the 21st. If we compare it to Unworthy Thor, which started running a bit later and followed the now unworthy Odinson, the data shows the latter had more sales. But then again, while Might Thor was at its 17th issue, Unworthy Thor was at its 2nd. Also, they later crossed paths, shared comic issues, it's fair to say they go hand in hand and Jason Aaron, the author, probably doesn't want us to compare them, as they complete and compliment each other's stories. Still I decided to check the comic that made Thor unworthy in the first place - Thor: God of Thunder (2012 - 2014), which seemed to me more "comparable" to Might Thor (2015 - 2018). *I keep putting the years it was being released so as to not be confused with previous Mighty Thor issues, whole Odinson was still Thor, please bear with me* So yes, the numbers were pretty close, but from what I saw, Mighty Thor had the upper hand if we compare first issue to first issue and so on. (In defense of Odinson, we have to take into account that this data is only from the US and does not include digital sales. Also, he's been around since the 50s. We could argue Jane was a breath of fresh air that some Marvel fans were indeed ready for. As a non-American, and also a person without a hint of knowledge in economics I cannot take into account inflation and whatever else has prevented or enabled Americans to get their hands on the comics or has affected prizes through the years. Bear that in mind.) Moreover, from what I saw on Comichron, both comics had much competition - God of thunder was released along with Avengers vs the X-men, the Uncanny X-men, pretty popular at the time, and the Goddess of Thunder faced Civil War 2 and DC Universe Rebirth (yes, DC is in the game too), also dominating with tremendous sales for the longest time. Yet I stick with my original statement - both Thors are valid and shouldn't be put against one another regardless of profit. Because at the end of the day what will matter the most is the story. And boy, what a story it is.

Now, I haven't read the Thor: God of Thunder, but as I was doing research I found one very well written summary and explanation of Thor's arc and his becoming unworthy and I will post a link below, because I honestly feel I wouldn't be doing this comic a favor by describing it without having read it. Which I plan to do in the future, tbh. It's a fantastic prelude to the Mighty Thor (2015 - 2018) that I've come to love. First, I'd like to ask you all to stop hating on the comic without having read it first. It doesn't make any sense and being petty for the sake of being petty won't benefit neither you, nor anyone, really. Now, about the comic itself - the art is magnificent. It's just gorgeous. Mighty Thor isn't , thank all the gods, sexualized, she is pretty buffed and generally looks like a warrior. As it is with the other characters, I dare say. The background truly captures the essence of every world Jane finds herself on. Action scenes are just the right amount and balanced with dialogue well. On a side note, it's pretty funny to read/listen to in your head the Shakespearean English cursive in which Jane talks as Thor. The plot line branches beyond this comic, starting from Thor: God of Thunder and leading to the War of Realms. And it is elaborately built in every issue. You don't know what to expect, yet it makes sense when it happens. Which leads me to the characterizations. My God, what a treat Loki is in this. Clearly, my opinion is kinda biased, since he's my favorite character, but you never know which side he's on. What his motivations are. And it just feels so... Loki. His writing is brilliant. Almost makes me forget what the MCU did to him. Also, he gets some daddy time with Laufey (not as kinky as I make it sound). Frigga/Freyja is just as awesome as in the MCU, even more, at least in the comics she calls Odin out on his shit, who btw is I guess an asshole in every version and universe. Malekith, the main villain, is unbearably despicable, I want to tear every page he is on. He really was mishandled in the Dark World, if you want some true action with the dark elves, you are welcome to enjoy. I saved the best for the end - Jane Foster/ Might Thor. Now, if you think Dr. Foster spends her time boasting about her worthiness and how Odinson is just called Thor, but she is Mighty Thor, you are horribly wrong. She just... does her job. Because the hammer chose her. Because there's no one else to do so. That's it. If you think there's some feminism involved, yes, there sure is, but it certainly isn't the reason Jane became Thor in the first place. It was not the creators going SJW because it's trendy, as such a mindset is honestly offensive to any descent creator with any self respect, but a well thought out story arc, which, I repeat, you have to read the comic to understand. Jane is not at all whiny about the hate she gets in-universe, not only from foes like Odin and who-not, but from Shield and generally people whose asses she's saving. Her having cancer is not something they pulled to provoke sympathy and make her look like a victim - on the contrary, she is a damn hero and a victor. I don't want to give out spoilers, but her being Thor is actually a giant sacrifice that no one really appreciates (both in-universe and in the fandom). She is not Thor to prove she can be, or just to prove "women can be heroes" - she doesn't have to. She is simply needed by the realms and so she does her job, even though she is called a thief, persecuted and generally hated. All that matters is that the hammer finds her worthy - the beauty and simplicity of that fact you will find out, for the last time, if you read the comic.

I'm not making you read the comic or watch Thor: Love and Thunder. I myself don't know what to make of this film yet because there's barely any information about it. I only know it will be based on the comic so that's a reason for my hopes to be up already. On the other hand, since I didn't like Loki's characterization in Ragnarok, I'm not sure what to expect from Taika. There are valid reasons to not like the idea of Jane returning to the MCU as Thor, which you are entitled to. However, reasons such as "why does everything have to be political these days" are not. Because if I had to make a list of everything politically related in the MCU, it would take forever. Steve Rogers kills nazis is the most blatant example. Make of it what you want. But I think we're far enough into the 21st century to realize art and real life are not that separable. It's undeniable that art affects people and that is to say, people everywhere. And they all have different opinions and aren't gonna like everything media is offering to them. And I wish I could simply tell you not to watch the movie but I'm a Marvel fan too and I understand that I can't just take away Thor from you because I want Mighty Thor as well. But none of us can stop Marvel from producing it. So, to quote an image I saw recently, I don't know how to explain to you that you should care about other people. Let the rest of the fandom enjoy what they want to enjoy. Yes, ik I can play around with the tags and avoid posts that unnerve me but, for example, I'm looking up Mighty Thor fanart, which obviously isn't anti-Mighty Thor, yet I get attacked in the comics for anticipating a movie that doesn't even have a full cast yet. Ik I'm not asking for too much when I wish to get the same internet experience (not only tumblr, but also insta, YouTube, Twitter, any site) as the Thor Odison fans, for example. I'm aware I cannot stop all the toxic fans and the trolls but I hope this post has inspired those of you who simply can't envision Jane as Thor, or don't like Natalie Portman in the role, or whatever eles personal preference that doesn't involve political issues and isn't harmful to the community, not to attack every post on your dash with hate. The movie is called LOVE and Thunder, for God's sake. (on a side note, is a franchise that is too afraid to show LGBT characters for more than 1 minute so as to not lose profit from China, THAT politically correct)

Anyway, that was a veeeery long rant, sorry to whoever reads this but, like, please, I put effort into this, hoping this time around I won't be the only positive reviewer of a movie, like I was with Solo: a Star Wars story (yes, I'm still bitter about this), which was boycotted for no apparent reason but was a decent film in reality, and I'm only bringing it up because it has a similar experience to Love and Thunder for getting hate before even being released. I'm not defending a billion dollar company that flopped in box office once, I'm defending the viewer's right to media they are interested in. If you don't like the character, remember - that's your opinion, not a fact that the character sucks. Kudos.

Not very easy to navigate, I advice you to do the research month by month individually for comics you'd like to compare. Also, if you happen to find more reliable data, pls say so in the comments.

3 .favorite line/scene you wrote this year

There was definitely more than one, so I’m just going to pick one from a fic. This is from chapter 2 of The Wind that Cuts the Night, and it was when I knew I was writing a 9~ chaptered fic, and not a 3 chaptered fic. It was when both of the characters really came alive for me and might not make any sense if you haven’t read the story and I don’t even care:*

They lay facing each other on Elliott’s bed. Both fully clothed, though Alex had stolen off to the bathroom to wash his face off, because he could feel the way his skin was drying tight and sticky, though by the end, Elliott had probably licked him clean. For a dude that hadn’t kissed him for ages, he sure liked to use his mouth.

Alex wondered if that meant Elliott would one day return the favour. If Elliott could take a dick all the way down his throat.

‘What would your grandparents say?’ Elliott said quietly. ‘About this?’

‘They’d be mad because of how we talk to each other,’ Alex said. It was the one part he’d really let himself think about. The rest was…confusing. Scary. Elliott was currently holding Alex’s hand in his own, and stroking it. Alex thought it was kind of girly – Haley would shove him if he ever said that out loud – and he thought it was kind of nice.

‘And?’

‘They’d be weird about it,’ Alex said. ‘But maybe then…fine. I don’t know. Grandpa’s never had an issue with that kind of stuff. Grandma – I mean I always talk about girls with her, and she talks about wanting grandkids and shit. They don’t have anyone else but me. And she’s already lost her daughter. So…’

‘Your mother,’ Elliott said. Alex winced, and Elliott slid his fingers between Alex’s. ‘I’m an orphan too.’

It took a moment for Alex to process what he’d just heard. When he did, he went from staring past Elliott’s shoulder into the dimness of the room, to meeting Elliott’s gaze in shock.

‘What?’

‘It was a long time ago,’ Elliott said. ‘And simple, really. There was a car accident. I was in the back, nary a scratch. Dad was killed on impact. My mother…she hung on, two weeks, and then she went quietly. I was ten.’

Alex knew it didn’t matter how long ago it happened. And he knew there was no such thing as ‘simple’ when you were an orphan. He knew that waiting while a parent hung on was the worst thing, and that nothing had touched him in the same way ever since. Even his dad, even then.

Fingers turning, he gripped Elliott’s hand hard, and thought of all the platitudes he’d heard and all the things that had meant nothing and tried to search for the ones that had stayed. He was left with syllables trickling out of his mind, and an empty space of hollow air that sounded a lot like the storm building up outside.

‘I’m sorry,’ Alex said. ‘I mean- It sucks to be an- It sucks to lose your parents.’

He thought Elliott would make fun of Alex then for not being ‘eloquent’ enough, or whatever. He thought Elliott would quip, or brush it off, or do some other thing. Instead, Elliott leaned close enough that Alex could feel his hair, could feel the warmth of his face and the easy pressure of his breath.

‘She was a poet and a florist,’ Elliott said. ‘When she was younger, she used to be embarrassed by her favourite flower, but as she grew older, she accepted it. Embraced it. A classic, you see.’

It was a shaft of pain straight through him. Alex tried to shake his hand free – the one he’d crushed the rose with – but Elliott wouldn’t let him. And then Alex tried to move off the bed, horrified with himself even though he hadn’t known, because he’d still sort of known. It meant something.

‘Stay,’ Elliott said, pulling him back.

‘Shit, Elliott,’ Alex managed, the words too small in his mouth.

‘Wait, stay,’ Elliott said. ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t mean-’

‘How can you even- I’m not- I shouldn’t have even-’

‘Stay,’ Elliott said, insistent, pulling Alex back and lying half on top of him, staring down at Alex’s face, eyes bright.

‘I am like him,’ Alex said, his voice breaking. He squeezed his eyes shut at what that meant, what that could mean going into the future. He tried to ignore the way Elliott slid a hand beneath Alex’s head, the way Elliott pressed his forehead to Alex’s, but it was difficult. Even Elliott’s hair was touching him.

‘No, not really,’ Elliott said, his voice soft. ‘I wouldn’t have told someone like him. For whatever it’s worth, I like you, and I owe you an apology for not seeing the line between…the teasing and…some of the other things I said. I still don’t really know that line, Alex, I hardly know anything about you that I don’t first learn from the town.’

‘I just…crushed it,’ Alex whispered. ‘The thing that reminded you of your mom? I just-’

His voice splintered, and he was mortified to find himself crying, because he was the one who had done the wrong thing and he hadn’t earned a shred of what Elliott was giving to him now, which felt real, and not like a prelude to some witty verbal backhand that left him stinging.

Elliott said things to him, soothed him, told him he wasn’t like his dad and then, when Alex was trying to calm himself down by just holding his breath so he couldn’t sob, Elliott said:

‘Oh, Alex, no. I have the worst timing. You’re so beautiful. Don’t cry.’

Of course Alex chose that moment to start crying again.

12. favorite character to write about this year

Actually a toss up probably between Elliott from The Wind that Cuts the Night (I have never written a character like him before and I will absolutely write a character like him in the future in my original stuff lol), and Jack Frost from The Golden Age that Never Was.

Elliott in particular, is so many things I’m not familiar with in some ways. He’s extroverted. He talks too fucking much. He’s pretentious, he’s crude, he flirts, he’s filthy. Most of the Doms I write are generally...way more reserved, and Elliott was like pouring out a stream of consciousness in dialogue (his stream of consciousness, not mine), and as a result, I wrote some of the most fun dialogue with him. Alex was like, so good to write as a perspective character, but Elliott was fun.

Jack Frost - we’ve gone from chapter 20 of The Golden Age through to 43, where we stand now. We’ve had 23 chapters of major character growth from him and it’s been an incredible experience writing him going from ‘yeah the Tsar is pretty awesome’ to becoming one of the biggest members of the Resistance, at least in spirit. Having him sort of sexually mature, spiritually mature, politically mature, while keeping all the things about his fundamental character that I love (his back-talk, his snark, his ability to see the fun in things, his hope, his determination, his understanding of the ‘little people’ which in this is both children and peasants) has been like...oh, I don’t know how to describe it. This story has become so much more than I ever thought it would be, and I am somehow more proud of it than I am Shadows and Light, and frankly, I never thought that would happen.

I mean fuck, there’s a note in one of the early chapters like ‘if you’re expecting something like Shadows and Light I’ll be disappointing you.’ And now I feel like The Golden Age is actually...y’know, I’m just super happy with it BUT WE’LL SEE HOW IT ENDS FIRST before I make that call officially, lol.

Do you still remember…that dream?

Do you still remember…me?

The background shows cherry blossoms, when the wind breeze brushes by, it dances with it, with the bright blue sky that is almost dome-like.

The whole view was beautiful and serene, even if it is just an opening screen of the game, the character could feel as if they were actually there. The light scent of the blossoms, the amazing view that is no less than any well-known cherry blossoms viewing sights in Japan. It is all peaceful and quiet, and you, were only one there. Until, these words suddenly appear on the screen, along with the speech that came with it.

?!! Neisui was sitting at her laptop, surprised when the sudden words came out of nowhere, even more so when she heard own voice speaking those words. The helmet has recorded their voice at point of registration, but if they are good enough just to take the voice sample of them and put them into speech inside the game, that is another thing.

What is this game? Why so sad already? She did read the description at opening of the game, just a page before this one, stating that because this game is unique and story would be based on how the players and npcs play it, there would be no opening video of what had happened, that would leave for the players to find out. Instead, it gave a few of samurai quotes that appeared in Samurai Love Ballad game, and some Neisui had no recollection of seeing before. But that did not matter, the game will figure it out somehow.

Until she saw these two quotes, who is that addressed to? Was that really her voice she heard? Yet it sounds so far away and almost out of the world. Was that the player’s voice or she was just imagining that? What happened if the player were a guy, what would he have heard?

But there was no chance for her to think more, for the next lines have already appeared on the screen.

Killing is what I do best. I kill to protect, yet I have lost them both.

Whose line is this? The middle part, she knows Oda Nobunaga has said similar thing, but was that really his line, who are them?

I do not wish us to be enemies or apart, but as a samurai, I must fulfill my duty. Please forget me, and live a peaceful life. If one day I must kill you…

Then the cherry blossoms fade, instead a video showing vast mountains and sea, the castle to prosperous town appears, on the sky it shows another line.

When she and rest of nation stands before you, what will you choose?

Please let us enter this world together, use your hands, use your whole to protect whatever and whoever you wish to protect.

The game has not even yet started, though Neisui is already feeling lots of pressure and mixed emotions of this game. What she just saw, is it the same for every player, or only for those who are wearing special helmets? The GM said they going to a test on her and survey her data. Her move will be examined very closely by them. But what will have they in store for her? Where will she start? But wait, she has not even logged in yet.

Nervously, she entered her account information and logged in, the next screen looks pretty normal, explaining guidelines for every player and even more so if you happened to be a lord or a special character in the game.

By using this helmet you have agreed to our gaming terms of use and conditions. In this game, you will be a daughter of a samurai, we are looking for what will you do with your status and title. Since you are doing this character as a test, we here congratulates you to have a second character of your own choice. This character will have no background, you will be free to make her into whoever you wish her to be. However, just to get you started, please think very carefully of who you gonna be. We will be entering your test character into a hidden story line, what happens there though may not affect your other character directly, but, do think and act carefully.

So unlike other players who are only to have one character per helmet and since each helmet is registered, each person could only have one helmet as well. So by having a second character, is impossible. Unless, that person may be the NPC or GM, right? But if the game already told her this character she is forced to play first now is a daughter of the samurai, then what does “think very carefully who you gonna be” means? Isn’t that already decided?

A video starts with images middle-aged samurai being killed, with his hoarse almost shouting voice shouted “AHH!!!” Then the image changed to a woman cried in despair, and a grave of someone stood lonely in the field. Then an image of a young child appeared, crying. The child was so young that he was just a toddler even, with the sadness and fear and anger in his eyes. He had just witnessed his father’s death.

Then an old woman appeared with a tree branch as walking stick. She sighed. “It is fate, what a poor child.”

What was that she just saw? Who was that man, that child, and that old woman? Being killed is nothing new at that era, but did that child really witness his father’s death? How? She could only see someone killed that man, but couldn’t see who did it. If it were happened on the battle field, why did that young child have a chance to witness the scene? Or if he hasn’t, where did that fear in the eyes came from?

The video has ended. Neisui now finds herself, her character wearing a simple white kimono, no, perhaps the word very worn white cloth would be more appropriate to describe her now. Her character is lying in the snow, unconscious. Around her were few bodies of soldiers. The wind is blowing hard in the background, everything else was quiet. Where is she? Is she on the battle field? The woman on the ground, that is…her, right? Then, she heard voices speaking and footsteps, and it gradually became louder.

“General, the war has ended now. We have taken the lady and her young son into the castle, will you see them later?” a man’s voice was speaking.

“Of course,” to Neisui’s surprise, it was a woman who answered. “My dear brother has just lost his life in war and left behind his wife and his young son, there is no one else who can take care of them now. How is she holding up?”

“Barely I suppose. She looks calm now but the tears have yet to dry from her eyes, and young master…he…” the man’s voice stopped, then a pair of feet appeared in Neisui’s view beside her unconscious body. It’s them, the ones that were talking. Neisui’s heartbeat grew faster, what are they gonna do, this kind of anticipation kills her. She for now could only watch as the scene plays in front of her. Her character is still unconscious, yet the tense is near.

“Hmph,” the woman gave a laugh, “looks like we have a company here. What is a youngling doing here? Surely she is not one of them?”

“I don’t suppose so, she looks much to young to be fighting. I mean, by her height, I would say she is no more than a ten-year-old.”

What? Ten-year-old? Her character is that young??? When the GM says they want to see what a daughter of a samurai, perhaps of a dead samurai would do, she never guessed her character they set for her would be this young. Her character’s face is not facing her, and an arm half-blocking, so she couldn’t see nor guess how she would be.

One of them bent down, it was a woman in red armor. She put a finger to Neisui’s character’s nose, then onto her wrist. “She is weak, but still alive. We will take her with us.” Just as Neisui was thinking how kind hearted the woman was, her voice came again, only this time colder, “then we will question her. Friend or foe.”

“But milady, she is only a child!” the other soldier protested.

“She may be a child, but don’t you think her appearing on battlefield is just too strange? Or who would be stupid enough to bring their daughter onto battlefield, only to be killed? It is a miracle enough hat she is not dead, but until we can be sure of her identity, or at least where she is coming from, we cannot be at ease.”

“But…”

“I may be a woman, and do not think I would feel sorry if this child has last her parents, just like him. But what if she is sent by the enemy, to gather our information and leak them out? I am the head of clan, I must protect my people.” Woman stood up, “you take her to the guest room, have a maid and a nurse with her, check if any wounds. Once she is awake, inform me.” The woman walked away, Neisui saw her character is being picked up by the man beside her.

The other man gave a quiet sigh, “what a poor child. Who knows what is in store for you? Now I’m not sure if it were better if you dead or alive. Sometimes death is just so much easier, or sometimes you would wish you were dead.” He picked her up and walked to his horse and rode under the grey sky. The wind is still blowing, and the other only sound left, was the horse that carries them to their destination, wherever that is.

Neisui watched the scene plays in front of her. She could do nothing but watch, and to ponder what will happen next. “What a start,” she sighed.

Hogwarts Overexposed Chapter 3: New Friends

Welcome back. When we last left off, we meet Roz again, the Scary Sue from the last fic.

Emily's stomach lurched at the very sound of Roz's name. In this case, I actually can´t blame her. Jamie and Emily had known Rosalind for a number of years because both families vacationed yearly at Cap d'Adge. Why are we told this again, since we already know it? In this case, knowing and liking had absolutely no correlation.

No shit, Sherlock! Roz had detested Jamie from day one and did everything in her power to aggravate and humiliate the girl whenever possible. We are never told why Roz hates Jamie so much, but it seems that she only hates her because of how Pure Jamie Sue is, as clicheed as that may sound. In the last few years, she had even tried getting at Jamie through Emily. Last year, she had tricked Emily into a bet that was both sickening and demeaning. Every time Emily thought of what she had nearly had to do to Roz, she had the urge to heave.

Why is it never brought up that Roz actually wanted to molest Emily? Not to mention that when Roz actually tried to molest her in front of her sisters, Jamie actually did something understandable in that situation - kicking Roz´s face in! But because Jamie is such a Pure Sue, she was so horrified that she did something like that and while Roz was passed out, they had her healed.

I hate this fic. Although totally impossible in the din, Roz's head turned toward the group, as if hearing Felicite bring up her name. "Oh shit!" Emily cursed. "She's coming our direction." "Who?" Caitlin and Kim voiced in harmony.

HARMONY HARMONY OHHH LOOOOOOVE

"Rosalind," Emily said, virtually gagging on the name. Although Kim had never met Roz, the stories she had heard from Emily and Caitlin made her extremely anxious.

I´m actually glad we didn´t have any scenes of Caitlin and Emily telling Kim stories of Roz, that would have been even more pointless filler. "What's going on here?" Roz said as she swaggered over to the group. "Is this a meeting of the hopeless losers club?" She gave Kim a turned-up-nose glance. "Still picking up new members I see."

Roz shook her head in a self-aggrandizing -___- way. "Daddy said that this year's holiday would be better because we'd be away from all the riffraff, but I imagine the cruise line must allow all types on board or they'd be accused of bias."

As I said, I find it really hard to believe that basically everyone from Cap d´Agde just happens to be on the same cruise ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. "I'm likewise happy to see you," Jamie said, trying her best to pay no attention to Roz's snide holier-than-thou attitude. Jamie should probably be the last person to complain about other peoples holier-than-thou attitude "I believe you know everyone except Kim. She's a Sue, just like us! friend of the family." Roz gave Kim the sort of look usually reserved for rancid garbage well, she´s a Sue, so she is not far off! and then turned to a young girl, about Emily and Kim's age, that was shadowing her. "This is my niece Angel," Roz said, acting as if she were introducing royalty. "Angel, you don't even need to know their names," Roz said arrogantly. "Just take a good look at their faces and stay away from them; they're all Sues! not worth your time." Roz turned and walked away as Angel's face flushed. "I'm sorry," she said, sounding sincere. "I... I... I got to go." Angel turned and hurried after Roz. "Well, that was pleasant," Caitlin said acerbically I have never heard that word before, to Emily and Kim. Jamie had returned to her conversation in French SUE! SUE! SUE! with Chantal and Felicite, although now by their frequent glances in the direction of Roz, it was easy to speculate what they were talking about.

"I actually felt sort of sorry for Angel," Kim said. "She didn't appear to be at all like Roz. It looked like she was humiliated by that whole encounter." "I agree," said Caitlin. "It's difficult to believe they are related. Not only do their personalities seem totally different, but also they don't look at all physically alike. I think we should bring her into our Cult! Angel is extremely pretty and Roz is..." Caitlin seemed lost for the proper word. "Roz is an unkempt hag," Emily suggested. "No, that's not being fair to hags in general."

Come to think of it, Roz is the only naturist in the whole Saga outrightly described as ugly, and she also happens to be eeeeevul. Hello, Unfortunate Implications! "I always thought you were both exaggerating when you described her, but you weren't," Kim said. "She's as miserable and gross as you portrayed her. I can understand a girl or woman not wanting to go to the extreme of being smooth, but you'd think she'd at least trim. And her underarms... ugh!"

Isnt Naturism all about being natural, which bodily hair is supposed to be?

The discussion of Roz came to an abrupt halt when Emily noticed Designated Love Interest #3 Brian walking in their direction accompanied by two other boys; the girls, especially Kim, watched nervously as the boys approached. "Hi," Brian said shyly, upon reaching them. He was addressing them all, but his eyes seemed trained on Kim, who was clearly tense.

This is so forced. The girls all responded with a muffled greeting. Emily was the first to break the ice. "I see you finally discarded your clothes and got with the program," Emily said, addressing Brian.

Does this all sound like something a 12-13 year old girl would say? "Yeah!" he said. "This is my preferred condition of dress. I've been a naturist my entire life. Unfortunately, coming from Pennsylvania, I don't get to practice it outdoors nearly as much as I'd like. This is Jeff and Mark's first time." He indicated his two friends. "They're only doing it so they can get to see a lot of naked women."

In this fic, it would not surprise me in the slightest. "You are so full of it," Jeff retorted, and then turned to the girls. "Mark and I have been nudists since we were youngsters; we're fraternal twins. We met this liar on vacation about five years ago; been putting up with him every summer since."

I´m just gonna say this now, Brians two friends are the least of the people who are given any characterisation what so ever over the duration of the whole nudist cruise arc of the fic. They just happen to be there, and don´t contribute to anything. "How long have you guys been at it?" Mark inquired. "I've been a naturist my entire life," Emily replied. "If I had my way, clothing would never touch my body."

WE ALL KNOW ALREADY "You sound like a nudism activist," Mark answered back. "I just might be," Emily said, "once I reach the age where my actions won't affect those I care for. Caitlin's only been a nudist two years." "It looks like you and Caitlin get to spend a lot of time bare outdoors," Jeff commented. "You both have great all over tans without a trace of a tan line."

....................... Obviously Jeff had been observing Emily and Caitlin closely, but neither girl seemed the least embarrassed by his comment . It was Kim who blushed because she had very noticeable tan lines. You could see the precise outline of her bathing costume.

Oh, the Horror! "How long have you been a naturist?" Brian asked, giving Kim a pleasing slasher smile. Kim gulped. She thought about lying, but lies always had a way of coming back to haunt her. Especially since the lie to the other Scary Sues in their dorm is what is making her miserable in the first place. "I'm not a naturist," she said. "I'm nude lots of times with Kim and Caitlin where they live, but this is the first time I've ever been naked in public." Brian looked at Kim with astonishment. "Then you must be the gutsiest girl on earth," She actually isnt. he exclaimed. "I'd expect you to be scared to death, but you don't look the least ill at ease." "Looks can be deceiving," Kim said with an uneasy laugh.

Well, at least she´s honest! "Well, one thing is for certain," Brian said truthfully. "You most certainly have nothing to be ashamed of; you're quite lovely." "Thank you," Kim replied, a bright glow covering her entire body. * * * * * *

Snip for a boring scene where Ron is being talked to by the woman from the couple who were ogling them in the previous chapter, and her name is Bonnie.

We now come to the prelude to one of the dumbest and pervy scenes of the Saga:

"Have either of you ever been on a surfboard before?" Kim asked, looking at Emily and Caitlin. "I haven't," Caitlin said. "Truthfully, I prefer my swimming water in a nice clear pool." "I'm not that grand LOOK HOW BRITISH I AM a swimmer," Emily admitted. "I'd drown if I went out that far." Kim leaned the board back into its rack, dejectedly. "Are you girls going surfing?" Brian called out as he, Jeff and Mark came bounding toward them. "Just looking," Emily replied. "Kim is the only one with the guts and ability to try it." "Then this is her opportunity," Jeff said. "Brian is the main man when it comes to surfing. You'll take her out, won't you dude?"

Even if I didnt know what was coming in this scene, why does this sound so wrong? "This is a good place to give it a try if you're interested," -___- Brian suggested. "The water is warm and the surf mild. You won't get any thrill rides, but you won't get knocked off the board either." "Why don't you try," Caitlin said encouragingly. "I'm sure the four of us can find something safe to do while Brian and you drown yourselves." "You won't drown," Brian said, reaching out and squeezing Kim's hand. This feels so wrong.... "I'll see to that." "Okay," Kim said giving Brian a smile. "But if I do die, I'm coming back to haunt you." "No chance," Brian said. "Only witches and wizards can become ghosts." UUUUUuuuuuuhhhh.....foreshadowing! He turned to the others. "We'll meet you guys in front of the Banana Beach Bar in about an hour." Kim looked over her shoulder apprehensively as Emily and Caitlin walked off with Jeff and Mark, leaving her alone with Brian. * * * * * * "You have quite a way with cats," Severus said as he watched Katie relate with Crookshanks and Alfred.

Yes, Snape is now starting yet another relation with another former student of his! Yaay Unfortunate Implications! "They're not cats," Katie corrected Severus. "Crookshanks is part Kneazle and Alfred is a purebred. These guys are both very intelligent and can almost tell at an instant whether you are trustworthy or not."

Just remember:

Neil had by the start of the second fic totally forgotten about both Crookshanks and Alfred, because (in his own words) “they´re not nudists”. "It's a shame we humans don't possess that ability," Severus commented. "Some do, although most don't realize it or use it to its full potential," Katie said. "Jamie Zacherley is a case in point. Hermione says the ability is strongly manifested in her, but she tends to block it, instead looking for the good redeeming values in people."

“See? She´s totally not a Mary Sue!” "That sounds like Jamie," Severus said. "How do you think she'd do as a member of staff?" "Next year, just right out of school?" Katie questioned. "But I thought she had plans to go into training as an Auror."

I think this is the first time this is mentioned since the first fic. "She does," Severus answered. "Unless she and Alex Ward do appalling on their N.E.W.T.s, I would expect them both to be accepted into the program." "I don't understand," Katie said. "If she isn't interested in teaching, why would you be considering her?" "Because Flitwick says she's the best qualified person to replace him when he retires next June." MARY SUE DETECTED BEEP BEEP BEEP Severus answered. "He claims that her abilities stand far above any other candidate we've considered for the position. Not only that, but she's already gained some valuable experience by subbing and has shown a strong aptitude for teaching."

She is one of the biggest Sues I have ever encountered. "Aren't Ward and she dating?" Katie asked. "Yes! That is what is causing me consternation," Severus answered, shaking his head. "They have been extremely close friends since first year. Very much like Hermione and Harry were. Now, like the Professors, they have been chosen Head Boy and Head Girl. Every indication is that they are destined to be together. I feel that by offering her a position, I'm building a roadblock in the path of their happiness. It would dictate them being apart for three years."

I said this before, but we are never, ever shown why Jamies and Alex´ relationship is supposed to be sp special.

I doesnt help that most of what Alex does - when he isnt channeling Kirk Cameron - is just to be there and be Jamies Yes-man on everything. "Are you asking my advice?" Katie asked. "I value your opinion greatly." "Then when the time comes, you must offer her the position. By not doing so, even though your intentions might be honorable, you are trying to control her life. The choice has to be theirs. It will be a difficult choice, but it must be theirs to make."

The way she is saying it makes it sound as if the fate of the world is depending on it!

Cut for another boring beach scene - Sam tells Ron that she´s been hanging out with Bonnies husband Jim.

I wonder where this is going....

And cut for a Ginny/Draco scene, where they are on vacation and Ginny talks about wanting to be naked.

We move on to the scene I alluded to earlier:

"Are you nervous?" Brian asked after he and Kim had paddled out to sea a good distance. "Nervous doesn't come even close to describing how I feel," Kim said fearfully. "You'll be fine," Brian said reassuringly. "You just have to trust me. Now getting to our feet can be a little tricky. I'll get up first and then assist you. Once we're both up, relax and lean back against me. Let me move your body in tandem with mine in order to maintain balance. One more thing, forget that we're naked." Forget that we're naked. How the devil am I supposed to do that when you're going to be touching me, when you want me to lean back against you? Why am I here? Why did I agree to do this? Because you´re about to be assimilated. Why is he so nice to me? Why is he so gorgeous? Brian had made what they had to do sound much easier than, in fact, it actually was. Ten times they had tried standing and ten times they had fallen into the brine. I almost except the Dirty Dancing soundtrack to play in the background at this time. Kim was exceeding glad that she was a proficient swimmer; else she would have already given up and begged to return to shore. As it was, she could only picture trying this a few more times. They fell for the eleventh time. "Okay," Brian said with assurance. "The twelfth time is charmed."

UUUHHHHHHH FOOOOORESHADOOWIIIIIING "It better be," Kim gasped. "I've swallowed about as much ocean as I care to for one day." Brian was on his feet and so was Kim. They were finally actually both standing. "Now relax," Brian said. "Lean against me and let our bodies become one."

This sounds so wrong. They were actually riding a wave, albeit a small one, and headed for shore. "This is great," Kim said happily, forgetting for the instant that Brian's naked body was pressed tightly against hers. Then he shifted to change their direction and she felt it. She knew at once what it was and it had nestled itself gently between her butt cheeks. FUCK YOU NEIL, FUCK YOU!!!!!! Kim panicked and they were both in the water.

I just can´t - and I find it strange to think that this Saga has actual fans.... "What happened," Brian asked after they had both surfaced and caught their breath. "I lost my footing," Kim lied.

Kim, grow a spine! "Want to go out and give it another try?" Brian offered. "No thanks," Kim begged off. "I've had enough for the first time, but it was fun. Thanks." "It was my pleasure," Brian replied genuinely.

We now move on to Emilys sex obsession:

"Are you sure it was his Willie?" Emily asked as she and Kim lay in bed discussing the events of the day.

I wonder why Emily doesnt just say “penis”, given how obsesses she is with it. "Well, since I didn't in point of fact see it, I can't be positive," Kim replied. "But I can't imagine what else it could have been. He had a hand on each of my arms and I was leaning back against him." "Was it soft or hard?" Emily persisted.

FUCK YOU NEIL "I don't know!" Kim said, aggravated at Emily's doggedness. "I just knew it felt weird having a part of him touch me there." Kim thought for a minute. "He must have had a stiffy, otherwise I don't think it would have prodded me to the extent it did. I just know it didn't belong there."

I hate this fic. "I think you're being overdramatic," Emily said assuringly. "Brian seems like a real nice guy. I'm sure he wasn't trying to do anything improper. It was probably just a natural reaction to his penis having rubbed against your bare skin. Jamie says they sort of have minds of their own sometimes; that guys can't fully control them."

Keep telling yourself that, Neil! "Speaking of which, have you noticed Professor Weasley's?" Kim asked, her face turning ruby red.

I feel so sorry for Ron in this fic. "It's somewhat difficult not to," Emily answered. "I wonder whether his large size has anything to do with him being a werewolf." "Probably," Kim answered. "Can you imagine something that large inside you?" She shuddered at the very thought. "I wonder how Sam does it."

Remember this conversation for later in the fic.

I know this may sound weird, but it is actually (kinda) important. "Well, as we saw when Amanda and Mum gave birth, women can adjust." Emily said, actually fingering herself. FUCK YOU NEIL, FUCK YOU!!!!! "It must be an awfully tight fit." "Emily, can I ask you a question without you getting irritated and flying off the handle?" Kim questioned warily. "I can only promise to try," Emily said with a laugh. "Lately I seem to have a very short handle." Kim took a deep breath. "Are you and Caitlin gay? Have you had sex? I mean if you are and have, it's okay with me. I just..." She didn't finish.

I actually wonder how Kim got that vibe.

Emily just stared at the ceiling, completely caught off guard by Kim's questions. "I don't think either of us is gay," she answered. "I'm not sure a person at twelve or thirteen can even be fully confident of their sexual preferences, but we are unquestionably both extremely interested in boys so I don't think that either of us is gay."

Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

Besides the fact that this here seems extremely homophobic on Neils part - on the one hand constantly denying Homosexuality yet at the same time writing a sex scene between two (UNDERAGED) girls is just classic “Girl on Girl is hot” trope in all its glory.

Also, apparently Bisexuality doesnt exist here.

Not to mention that there is a short scene in the last chapter of the first fic in which Caitlin and Emily announce that they are a couple - that scene is never ever referenced to again afterwards.

Like so many other things in this Saga. Emily took a deep breath, not sure how her best friend was going to handle the balance -___- and I was happy that we didnt have more misuses of the word “balance” of her answer. "We have experimented with oral sex," Emily honestly admitted. "And we both found that it felt nice." "Oh!" Was all Kim could say in response. "Does knowing that change things between us?" Emily asked apprehensively. "I'm not sure," Kim said nervously. "I love you. You're my best friend, but I could never do that to another girl; not even you."

Well, in this fic, you never know for sure. "Kim! I love you too and I'd never ask or expect you to do it," Emily replied. "I'm not even sure if I could do it with you. You are my best friend, but Caitlin is my sister and although I can't quite explain it; the two of us have a special something that actually made it feel good and proper."

The fact that she is your (adopted, but still) sister is what makes this even more disturbing - apart from the fact that they are both underage.

Which again makes me think....Caitlin was raped by Madam Hooch when she was 12, and then two years later "experiments” with Emily - why can´t I help but feel like its a situation where a rape victim goes on to control youngers? "Then I can slumber assured that you won't molest me during the night," Kim said with a laugh.

As I said, Kim:

In this fic, you never know.

I hate this fic. "Promise," Emily said. "Will you still hold me if I have another nightmare about that git, like I did last night?"

I think this is the last time we ever hear about the almost-rape at Ford Lauterdale. "Promise," Kim said, as she kissed Emily on the cheek before turning on her side and shortly going to sleep. * * * * * * More boring stuff, but this thing sticks out:

"How does he do it?" Ron asked as he helped Hermione situate and shade a sleeping Benjamin, all the time trying not to look straight at his friend. Ron was already using a towel to hide his semi-erectness; if he allowed his eyes to fully appreciate Hermione's body, he'd have a full-fledged stiffy that would never give up.

Wouldnt it be kind of interesting to see if Ron was still in love with Hermione despite all the things that happened?

This of course is never followed up upon.

Ron and Hermione were interrupted by the shrill sound of a woman's voice loudly calling out Hermione's name.

Hermione turned and, upon seeing Michelle Wolfskill, hurried to greet her, giving the relatively fleshy woman a proper hug. Michelle had befriended Hermione last year at Cap d'Adge; she was also responsible for telling the Potters about this cruise. Why are we given exposition again about things we already know? She and her husband, Lloyd, had been good friends of Jennifer and Carl Zacherley, Jamie and Emily's late parents. Who now only are mentioned like this in passing and otherwise no longer acknowledged. Upon first meeting, Michelle in fact mistook Hermione for Jennifer's sister because Jamie and Hermione looked so similar.

Oh. Its been a while since that has been mentioned. "It's wonderful to see you again," Michelle said, sincerity evident in her voice. At that time she looked at Ron. "Have you brought us a new convert, Hermione?"

I wonder how actual nudists would react to this comment. "That remains to be seen," Hermione said candidly. "This is Ronald Weasley. Ron, Harry and I have been best friends since our first year of school, despite the fact that we treat him like crap. Ron, this is Michelle Wolfskill. We only just met last summer, but hit it off immediately."

The last part sounds very wrong.

Again. Ron and Michelle exchanged smiles and then shook hands, with Ron, naturally maintaining full eye contact. "Where is Lloyd?" Hermione inquired. "Still sleeping," Michelle said disgustingly. "He was gambling till the wee hours of the morning. I didn't realize the ship had a casino when we booked passage or I might have reconsidered. Lloyd has an unhealthy obsession for playing poker, and he also wont have any influence on the plot anyway." Ron listened with great interest. Wizards had nothing that compared to casinos in their world. He was extremely eager to find out more about this form of adult Muggle entertainment. Unfortunately, Harry and Hermione seemed to both eye gambling negatively and Sam had shown little curiosity.

This is the first we ever see any evidence of this.

This is of course only brought up for a stupid subplot that won´t have any influence or consequences on the main plot anyway. "That's Samantha, Ron's wife, perched on Harry's shoulders," Hermione said, pointing in the direction of the pool. "We all call her Sam. Jamie is holding their son, Timmy." "You have a very attractive wife," Michelle said, but as she spoke her mind seemed to wander as she glanced at Kim, Caitlin and Emily. "Did you adopt another daughter?"

Basically yes. "No, although she almost seems like part of the family," Hermione said with a laugh. "That is Kim, she's a good friend of both Emily and Caitlin." "But our family has increased in size," Hermione noted proudly as she bent over and picked up Ben. "I'd like you to meet Benjamin James Potter." "You've had a baby?" Michele said disbelievingly. She gazed at Hermione in skepticism and then at little Ben. Temporarily all other thoughts were erased from her mind as she looked at the adorable baby. "May I hold him?" "It seems like forever since I've held a baby and giving me grandchildren doesn't seem to be a priority with my children. Where do you have his bottle?"

This is how we know she has children, as it has never been mentioned before and will never be mentioned again. "I'm breastfeeding," Hermione said almost penitently because she knew it would draw Michelle attention to her huuuuuuge breasts. Michelle just stared unbelievably at Hermione. There were so many things she was temped to say, so many questions on the tip of her tongue, but she somehow managed to remain mute and instead just nodded her head. "I looked all over Princess Cays for you yesterday," Hermione said. "I'd about come to the conclusion that you had decided not to book passage." "Lloyd and I opted to stay on board yesterday," Michelle advised. "Most of the stops are pretty much the same and Princess Cays, being owned by the line, is the most bland and uninteresting of the islands, and this way, the author doesnt have to write any descriptions of the island." "Ladies," Ron said, getting Hermione and Michelle's attention, "I'm not really in the mood to lie in the sun. If you don't mind, I believe I'll just move over to that table where I'll have a better view of the pool." "Are you sure?" Hermione asked, feeling shoddily for perhaps ignoring him. Ron, however, was already on his feet and didn't answer. Perhaps he hadn't heard her or possibly he was intentionally ignoring her as he headed for the empty table.

I really hate how Ron is treated in this fic - and it only gets worse from here. * * * * * * Cut for another boring scene with Ron and Bonnie, playing chess - Bonnies husband Jim and Sam notice it.

"Michele, what's on your mind?" Hermione inquired. "I know you well enough to be able to tell when something is bothering you. It's not like you not to say what you're thinking."

How many betas were supposedly involved in this again? Michelle looked at Hermione hesitantly. "I'd rather not say," she said. "I value your friendship too highly, and we get to see each other so seldom that I don't want to chance saying something that will rub you the wrong way." "Part of the reason I like you so much is because you are frank and tell it like it is. I'd much prefer you come out with whatever it is you want to say rather than let it fester the entire holiday."

It was never shown how close Hermie Sue and Michelle are. This here comes completely out of nowhere. Michelle shook her head as she bit down on her lip. "You're a Mary Sue! different," she finally said. "I like you. I like you very much, but there is something different about you; and by you I mean you and your entire family." Hermione looked at Michelle concernedly. She was expecting a question in regards to her breasts or her body springing back to shape so fast after having Ben, but she wasn't expecting this. Michelle most certainly didn't know that she was magical, but somehow she had realized that she was unusual.

Sues usually do stick out wherever they are, even in a Saga like this with multiple Sues. "Last year when we first met, I took an instant liking to you," Michelle said. "I imagine most people do; you have that sort of charisma about you. Of course, I was cheering for Jamie in the competition." Of course she was. She hesitated a moment. "I was watching the day of the contest when Jamie reached the hotel clutching her breasts in pain. Having done some nude running myself in my younger days, I could be empathetic with the tenderness she was feeling. It was evident that the girl could run no more."

I was already thinking in the last fic that it is a miracle that no one saw Caitlin and Hermione perform their Sue Powers on Jamie out in the open. "But then I watched as you and Caitlin held hands and went into what seemed to be a deep trance. Jamie who had been sitting very quietly, almost as if in a trance herself, began to move about as if... Well, from my viewpoint she seemed to be reacting to her chest being rubbed, yet neither you nor Caitlin had touched her. This went on for a time until Emily came running up to you. She almost went into a panic yelling and shaking the three of you before finally there was a response."

Yeah. Busted. "As you know Jamie went back and finished that race not showing any sign of even a token amount of tenderness. I kept my judgment to myself, not even telling my husband my suspicions. He probably would have considered me mad anyway. Besides, after what you and Harry had done... how you had taken those girls into your home and heart. I didn't want to think negatively of you."

I wonder, why would this make her think negatively of them?

Neil can´t write. "But now look at you. Hermione, I've been a nurse for over twenty years," This is also only mentioned right now out of nowhere! Michelle declared. "Your body is flawless. The most obvious unfeasibility is your breasts. Natural breasts the size of yours do not, cannot defy gravity, especially when breast feeding."

This whole breast fixation is really creepy, but not surprising. "But that's not all," Michelle went on. "Your skin is perfect. Not a stretch mark or even a pimple anywhere. Even the scar you had on your arm last year; probably from a childhood injury, is gone."

Oh G-d... Hermione glanced at her arm, almost in panic. Michelle was correct. The scar that she had gotten on her arm from a bicycle accident was gone. The massages that Caitlin had given her during her pregnancy had done far more than intended.

This is the first time we ever hear of said scar, as it certainly wasnt there the previous fic.

Neil can´t write. "Michelle, I don't know what to..." "Look Out! They're attacking!" shrieked a woman. "My god what are they!"

It´s Madam Hooch coming to eat all of their nipples! "They're going for those girls!" "Someone help them, please! Oh my god, those poor kids." End of Chapter Three

I “love” how Neil loves to end chapters with completely stupid and unnecessary cliffhangers.

Thank you very much to all of you that have reviewed. I thought that by now you might have tired of my stories, but the response to the first two chapters has been very gratifing.

Yeah, I can´t believe people actually liked it. Thank you also to my wonderful betas: Amber, Paul, Matt and Peter work very hard to turn my gibberish into a readable chapter. Your betas suck! If anyone is concerned with the direction the story is headed with regards to Sam/Ron/Bonnie/Jim, please address you howlers to Paul. He suggest that sub plot.

13 Reasons Why: Trigger Scenes

For those of you interested in watching this show but fear that certain scenes within the series might cause you harm. I’ve compiled a list of the start & end times of certain scenes that may be too graphic. Below the cut I’ve also decide to include a transcript of important voiceovers that happen during the scenes themselves that you may want to read (but not if you believe they might harm you emotionally) for plot purposes. So just fyi there will obviously be spoilers below the cut lol. I’m pretty certain I got all the majorly triggering scenes, however this whole series does contain little potentially triggering things including: Bullying, slut-shaming, closeted-gay, a second suicide attempt that isn’t explicitly shown but mentioned in the 12th and 13th episodes. So Please take the utmost precaution when watching this series.

But with all that said, I do hope you enjoy it. I’m tagging those who either replied, reblogged, or liked my original post on the subject so that they can find this easily.

Episode 9 – Sexual Assault

1. 31:20 – 32:40

This scene sets up the assault scene and has a semi-misleading depiction of who the attacker is. The scene shows no actual assault but alludes to what will happen next. For safety’s sake do not view this scene if you are easily triggered by the theme of sexual assault.

2. 38:50 – 42:35

This scene depicts the full assault. The time I’ve listed above starts and ends at the safest spot to skip to. However, if you are feeling okay enough to watch everything in the scene except the actual assault those times are 40:20 – 41:30. But again please be very careful and don’t push yourself too much. Your mental health is the priority here. This scene is told from the point of view of Hannah Baker hiding in a closet.

3. 46:40 – 47:02

This is another semi prelude scene to the assault. It shows someone attempting to stop the assault, but failing and giving up.

4. 50:20 – 51:20

This is another scene of the assault, however this time it depicts a flashback from the point of view of the victim of the assault rather than Hannah’s account of it. This scene is intensely more graphic than Hannah’s pov, and I extremely urge you to take caution with this scene.

Episode 12 – Sexual Assault and Child Abuse

5. 00:40 – 01:10

There is a brief but immediate flashforward scene depicting flashes of the assault. This begins immediately after the credits play so please be very careful here.

6. 42:15 – 47:30

The assault itself doesn’t take up the entire time that I’ve listed, but it cuts in and out with Clay confronting the rapist, including a very bloody fight. So I figured the safest way to avoid the triggering scene would be to avoid that whole sequence. However after the ‘end time’ I listed Clay does get the rapist to finally admit he did it. But if you do not want to see this either please skip to 50:25. If you would like to see the Clay-Only scene also these are those times: 43:30 – 45:45.

7. 51:00 – 52:25

This scene involves one of the characters being choked by the boyfriend of their mother. Please view with caution.

Episode 13 – Suicide

8. 35:45 – 38:53

This is inarguably the most graphic scene in the entire series and really in a show period that I’ve personally seen. So please take extreme caution if you are going to try and view this scene. On the one hand I believe it was important because non-suicidal people need to see it so they can understand what it’s really like. They need to be forced out of their comfort zone so they don’t just continue ignoring things like this and say shit like “It was their choice; Nothing ____ could have done” and “Suicide is selfish” But if you are suicidal or have ever been suicidal I please urge you not to watch this scene if it may cause you harm. Please be cautious and safe. Your mental health is super important. No movie or show is worth jeopardizing it. In the times above I’ve included everything from the moment she enters the bathroom to right after her body is found by her parents.

Episode 9 – Sexual Assault

"There are three stories to tell about that night. I’ll tell this one first.”

“How did I end up in that room? That’s another story, but for now... Justin, you’d been with the same girl all night, but I’m not going to call her out by name. Even though I you were at that party you already know.”

“I realized two things in that moment. Number One: I was drunk. And Number Two: So was this girl. But I figured you’d just give up and leave her alone. At least I’d hoped you would.”

“I know what you’re thinking. ‘Maybe if this girl hadn’t had so much to drink what happened next wouldn’t have happened’ but it was a party. Everyone had too much to drink. And besides how can you blame someone for something that happens while they’re unconscious.”

During this scene, Jessica and Justin, both very drunk, arrive in her bedroom where Hannah was. When they arrive she hides. Jessica is on the verge of passing out when Justin decides to leave the room. Hannah attempts to leave, but then Bryce barges in. She moves into the closet where she finds herself frozen during the assault. The below transcription takes place after she hides in the closet.

“I had to do something. I had to make him stop. But I couldn’t get my feet to move. It was dark in there, and the music was loud, but I saw his face. And I recognize his voice as clear as day. And so would all of you.”

“But this tape isn’t about him. It’s about you and me, Justin. You called him a friend, but your girlfriend needed you.”

Bryce then leaves and Hannah rushes out of the closet where she proceeds to throw up in a trash can while sobbing. She pulls a blanket over Jessica, still unconscious, and says to Jessica “I’m sorry”

“That girl had two chances that night. But we both let her down. How do I live with that? How do you Justin? How does she live with what happened?”

Justin barges in and pulls Bryce off but Bryce pushes him back out the room and knocks him down. Justin begins crying but does not attempt to stop him again.

This scene shows Jessica a bit more aware than Hannah had realized. She recalls trying to stop Bryce, but being too weak to do it.

Episode 12 – Sexual Assault and Child Abuse

“The way I see it, there are two different kinds of death. If your lucky, you live a long life and one day your body stops working and its over. But if you’re not lucky, you die a little bit...over and over.”

“Until you realize it’s too late.”

“I know some of you listening think there’s more I could have done. Or should have done. But I’d lost control, and in that moment it felt like... It felt like I was already dead.”

Seth gives Justin his subpoena but then begins to yell at him for “bring cops around” due to Seth’s drug business. Justin yells at Seth which leads to Seth shoving him against a wall and choking him out. He continues choking Justin until his mother comes out and complains “The neighbors will call 911″ Seth reluctantly stops choking him. And his mother gives him a broken look as Justin is kicked out of his home by Seth.

Episode 13 – Suicide

In this scene, Clay is graphically describing what Hannah did to Mr. Porter. So I won’t actually transcribe that.

Today marks this blogs third anniversary

Time sure flies, huh? Who’d have thought that what started out as a small little idea way back when would eventually grow to become such a grand and complex character, with a long and detailed backstory and even a very important NPC spawning off said story?

I sure didn’t.

To be quite honest, I was back then not sure whether or not Sceada would ever catch a hold in the rp community, and there have been periods where it felt like his foothold was vanishing, but he endured, and now I am still here after 3 years. And you know what?

None of that would have been possible without you guys.

A roleplay character and his story are, if you ask me, to an extent also only as good as their partners make them. The growth of a character comes through interaction, and without partners there simply is none. And with them, you sometimes don’t know just which way they might push your muse to develop - ain’t that the most exciting part about this our hobby?

So, in order to honor these three exciting, heartwarming (and heartbreaking at times), dramatic and simply awesome years, I wish to honor the people that made it possible!

You never stopped being my go to person when it is about Burmecia and it’s inhabitants. You helped me shape my backstory and headcanons, allowed me to make your Freya a part of them somewhat by acknowledging the characters it introduced and their connection to her, and what I appreciate by far the most, even three years in you still play with me every now and then.

Thank you so much for everything. I know we may not converse much outside of rp but I still feel I got to know you a bit over the years and so I also want to say that I think you’re a great person and someone people greatly enjoy having for a friend. Stay awesome, and may your endeavors be crowned with success!

(Also, I’m still “sorry” for throwing Skadi at you like that, but I love what a good sport you’ve been about it and wanna thank you for dealing with her! I promise, she’ll eventually be less obnoxious)

Oh Gwenny, if I were to list all the nice things I can say about you, I’d probably need a separate post just for you. You’re such a warm and kind person and you’re never afraid to voice your opinion, and I really admire that. And the same goes for the big changes you’ve made in your life, I am both so very happy for you and proud of you for making that leap, and at the same time a bit envious. Maybe one day I’ll have that strength too.

And your Leonora, my, she’s just such a wonderful sweetheart, I cannot fathom how one could not adore her. Reading you write her is not only a pleasure, no, it has also fundamentaly changed my perception of her when I replay TAY - I gotta admit, I at first considered her to be a bit boring in game, but I see now that I was mistaken, and not just because of how much depth you gave her. By now Leonora has actually become part of my extended list of favorites, and I feel you are to credit for that.

I always adore our plays, and am a bit sad to see them having become so scarce lately. Not only Sceada misses you and Leonora, I do too. I understand why the situation currently is as it is and let me assure you, it’s okay, but allow me at the same time to say that yes, I do miss these plays. And we don’t even need to go into detail about how much Sceada misses the sunshine to his rain... My poor lovesick fool. So I really hope that the day will come when we can play more often again. Until then, please stay as wonderful as you are and may you continue to succeed in all you do! You deserve all the happiness.

Maria oh Maria - no, I’m not gonna break into signing the opera from FF VI right now, behave Patrick - it feels like I’ve known you forever, though we only met through Pledged Prelude back in the day, and only rarely really spoke outside of plays. Curious how that sometimes goes, huh? But be that as it may, yours is a presence on my dashboard that I wouldn’t want to miss. I really adore your style of writing, the way you picture a scene and how you describe Maria and her inner struggles. I know out plays tend to get quite slow, curtesy of both our lives, but by the gods they are always, always worth waiting for. And seeing a reply after a long time has more than once felt like an exciting little present waiting to be unwrapped and discovered. Really, I love writing with you.

And Sceada is not in the least against it either. After all, if you would ask him who his closest friend is, who would he name other than Maria? He cares deeply for her and wants her to be happy, and he will never forget the kindness she showed him back in the day. I feel these two have a nice chemistry together, one of understanding and respect, and I shall with joy await just how that will develop over time. I for one hope that they both can learn to open up more to each other, both could really use it. But in the end, that’s not really up to us, right?

That said! I’ll also never forget the wonderful dynamic we had going when you played Victoria for a while, and she befriended Sceada, planning to use him for her own goals and played him. How he struggled with the path he saw her lay open for him to walk and it’s consequences, and last but definitely not least, their epic confrontation. Ah, good times...

Anyhow... what I want to say is Thank you Maria, for being such a consistent presence in my little Sceada’s life and for the many plays and deep conversations our muses shared. I shall gladly look forward for more to come, and I hope you do too. And who knows just where they’ll take us, hmm? ;)

Ah, Calisto... It’s been well over a year since you last graced our dashboards and we got to enjoy your presence, but don’t think that I’ve forgotten about you! Back in the days when I got to play with you it was always fun seeing your writing and the few threads we had always felt a bit special. I dunno why... but for Sceada you somehow felt like a sister, or probably what he would imagine it to feel like.

Kinda curious that it never occured to me back then that maybe they could be a ship, what with her being the only female Burmecian in his age group that he knew... - who knows if that would have worked though xD

Either way... I know you might not read this but if you do? I’d like you to know that I’m thankful for the time we played together and the plays we shared. And should you ever feel like returning? I will gladly play with you again right away.

My dear lady Minfilia, how long has it been? Too long. So I know you may not get to see this for a long time - if at all. But sadly that too is the nature of roleplaying, over time we are bound to say goodbye to many a player we liked.

You’ve been one such player for me. My Eorzea verse was pretty much centered on you, even thoug that was not the original intention. But Sceada felt so safe in her company and understood too, that actually she is to this day the only person who has seen his mark. Unbelieveable, right? But for him she was one he could trust - and apparently, he for her too. And I really liked that.

It is a pity that the canon story ended up ruining your muse for her, alongside your real life. I understand how you feel though, yet still... I’d have loved to play with you more. You had a very nice writing style. Maybe one day again. Maybe on another blog. Only time will tell.

First things first: I always have and I still do love the concept of your Garuda. What with her memory loss and her Garuda-Egi trying to whisper into her ears - I found that briliant. But I also liked her personality. The sometimes shy, sometimes insecure she displayed, along with her kindness... She was a sweetheart with a troubled mind, and by the gods can Sceada relate to that. He truly wanted to help her and understand her.

And who knows, maybe even more could have come of it, we had some intriguing prompts that never failed to make me smile. I suppose we’ll never know.

But be that as it may... I wanna still say thank you Garuda, for you were a partner I adored and I always enjoyed your writing of your muse. I’d have loved to play more with you, but alas it wasn’t meant to be. Still I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared as rp partners.

Locke Cole! Boy, what a pity it is that we have not yet been able to play more. I always liked your muse in the games, and you play him so faithfully! And no, I don’t mean the fact that just like Locke you sometimes come and go ;) But really, jokes aside, I really like the way you play him, and even before we started playing I’ve enjoyed reading you on my dash.

And to think of the possibilities our muses have, the potential scenarios that might yet unfold! I’m so very eager to explore them and truly hope we get to do so one day. I mean, it’s not often that Sceada gets to have a “rival” so to speak, though we both know that their rivalry would be unneeded as their beloved loves them both. And the notion of them adventuring together! Whether it is pursuing some legends or rumors, or even looking for that cure, I feel these two can become quite close if things go well.

Did you know that ever since I first came across your blog I’ve been wanting to play with you? I’ve always adored Eiko, and your adult take on her is delightfully refreshing. I also fondly remember that time we both individually had the same headcannon, and how the idea still lives on on your blog. The concept of it will probably never stop interesting me.

And well, we did play. But for the longest time, it was only small interactions in groups, some even in distinct verses and so they never really met in their main verses. Until we started a thread over a year ago - and then life got in the way.

When you recently came to me and said you’d love to play together again, I was delighted - and surprised. Reviving the old thread? I’ve never had that happen before, but you know what? I love the idea. Especially since the setting’s so nice for these two to meet a first time proper! And you can bet I’m excited to see where this will go. So thank you, thank you a lot for returning and still being interested in this mine little creation!

Mary! Have I ever told you what an absolute sweetheart you are? Well, yes, I know I have, but don’t think that’ll stop me from doing so again! Because really, you are such a nice and caring person! I still dearly remember talking to you when things were really rough for me and you even went so far as to offer me an alternative, a path out. I couldn’t take it back then, but I will never forget just how much it meant to me that someone cared so much. I know we haven’t spoken all that much in the past year because life has a tendency to get in the way, but I still feel that if things went extremely downhill and I needed someone to talk, you’d have my back - and I want you to know that I’d have yours, anytime.

Also, it’s so refreshing sometimes to just be able to talk with someone in your native language xD

That said, now that you recently returned I’m really hoping that we get to play together again! I love your Garnet and I especially loved her caring nature in certain threads and prompts. And you’re so full of great ideas! Like when I sent in that Kiss in the Rain thing and instead of just going small with a smooch or such in a rainy city, you had it have an emotional build up, a deep sadness over what was lost and a kiss meant to comfort an aching soul standing in the ruins of what once was his homeland - just how amazing is that? Ah, the lovely Fran! We have had the pleasure of some small threads a few times so far, and I gotta admit I always liked the dynamic we had between our two not-quite-standard-human Muses. Fran is a mystery and apparently enjoys that fact, and if Sceada is one thing then it is fascinated by mysteries. I was always curious how they’d get along, and as we saw from some of the older threads they could well have become friends - and hey, who knows? Seeing how you came back a while ago, maybe that is still a possibility.

Brii, I know we haven’t played much yet. We have that one thread, and a short thing from a prompt, and that’s it. And I also know that you more often than not feel your replies don’t live up to mine. Now... let me tell you something..

That is not the case.

Brii, you write your character well and convey what she feels or goes through clearly enough. You have an unique writng style, which sets you apart from others and on top of that your muse is quite the interesting concept. So believe me when I say that it is all fine, okay? Don’t worry about your roleplaying. Aren’t you, like most of us I believe, rp-ing because you enjoy it? Because it helps distract you, focus on something else for a while?

Also I’m so sorry about everything you have to deal with irl. I wish I could do more than just talk to help you but sadly, I cannot. So at the very least... allow me to offer you an open ear whenever your need one. To qoute one of my all-time favorite scenes in FF history: You Are Not Alone. Okay?

I’ve been following you for a while already, but I don’t think we ever had much interaction before, which is a pity. I’ve quite liked both your Leila and Milleuda for some time now, but found myself struggling to find a way to initiate interaction. And then Sceada decides he wants to send that prompt in. Boy oh boy, did that turn out in an interesting way... I’m honestly quite curious whether we’ll continue with it, and just where it’ll go - depending on the result Leila will truly steal something from him xD

But either way, I’d love to get to know her and/or Milleuda better and interact with them, so I’ll try to come up with something for at least one of them!

You know, it’s kinda weird. I’ve known you and your muse for but a short time now, our first actual interaction having been the advent calendar I had made. And look at it now: We’ve been talking quite a lot, Amina has become a close ally to Sceada in the group verse and we’ve even discussed possible ways for it to extend beyond the group should the need arise. Now we’ve barely known each other for a few days now, but when I stumbled over your OC I almost cried from joy. A FF9 OC! Well written! Interesting concept! And active! - Honestly, from my experience those are rare to come by! I am very excited to see just how our two OCs will get along - even though that one prompt already was a bad start in Sceada’s eyes. This is not how he likes to meet people xD

You two I’ve only recently started interacting with, but I have so far really enjoyed it! You have lovely writing styles and from what I can tell so far some nice ideas, so I am truly looking forward to playing more with you as time goes on!

I’d also like to give a big thanks to the groups I was part of in these 3 years, for I met many a wonderful person in them and enjoyed many an interesting and fun play thanks to them. So thank you Pledged Prelude @pledgedprelude, Crystathereum @crystathereum, Fate Cipher, Crowned Reveries and Crested Fantasia @crestedfantasia, it’s been a pleasure being part of you!

And lastly, I also want to thank my lovely girlfriend @pandoragu. We may have never actually played together on this account, with her Melly usually dealingwith my Kamiizumi, but she has helped shape this muse immensely in the two and a half years we’ve been a couple. Several ideas and headcanons have been bounced off her and adapted, leading to my Sceada’s backstory becoming more and more fleshed out, turning him into who he is today. Even if he himself does not yet know wholly who he is... So yeah, thank you my dear, for all your help with my little fool. I love you.

Why the heck hasn’t Bellarke gotten together yet, a Meta.

So here’s a meta I never thought I would write, cause everyone is always so caught up on the “behind the scenes” (aka jason, eliza, etc interviews)that they miss what the show is saying (screaming)

And to prove I’m not crazy, here is the reason why i’m writing this in the first place:

So there you go, @ivthegreatest, as promised this meta is for you (i LOVE YOU for questioning this).

So without further ado, let’s discuss Bellarke’s development and their obstacles.

I love Season 1, it’s no secret. One of the (many) reasons why is because I think its arcs are very well organized and built. That being said, on season 1 we can divide bellarke’s arcs in groups of 3-4 episodes.

1x01-1x03: The Clichés

It starts like this: Belamy and Clarke antagonize each other from their very first scene.

As their initial roles had them, Clarke was the hero/princess and Bellamy was the villain/rebel. As much as there’s always been some intense level of attraction between them (also ever since the first scene?!), their ideals alone set them miles apart.

Clarke thought Bellamy was a first class douche and Bellamy saw her as a representation of all the priviledged people on the ark. Each one of them had their own agendas: Clarke just wanted everyone to survive while Bellamy wanted to make sure the arkers wouldn’t make it down to Earth (+ he wanted to protect O).

The show sets Bellamy as “the bad guy”, the one who starts rebelions, the one who tries to create anarchy while making sure he’s in power. And Clarke was “the good guy”, seaching for food, protecting the moste fragile ones etc. They would never get together as they were ,in fact, enemies.

It all escalated on 1x02, where Bellamy (on the most “Bellamy you played yourself” moment in history) threatened to cut off her hand because she was getting in the way of his plans. But, on the same episode, when Bellamy – the supposed bad guy- had a chance to get rid of his problem– he doesn’t. That’s when the audience realizes there’s something there (with bellamy, with bellarke). Clarke doesn’t make the same realization necessarily (she must see something, but this is for another meta).

On 1x03 we end this arc as Bellamy and Clarke see they MIGHT be wrong about each other - as Bellamy sees Clarke killing atom.

Clear as heck, Bellamy changes the way he sees Clarke, he realizes the “princess” is very capable of making tough choices. Less obvious, but even more canon, Clarke sees Bellamy differently too, she knows now he’s not a murderer (” I saw you in the woods with Atom. I know you're not a killer “ 1x04 ).They weren’t friends at all, but they saw something in each other that other characters didn’t see.

And,... there was a catch already. While Bellamy and Clarke were on this antagonistic cycle, Clarke was already getting involved “prince charming”. Someone who (supposedly) shared her views on keeping peace, someone who was against that anarchy mess, someone with hero hair and a flashing smile. Yeah, Finn.

But well, as 1x03 prelude-ed it, all roles were about to change drastically and everyone would find out they were wrong about...everything. Which bring us to the next arc:

1x04-1x07: The Switch

1x04 pinpoints the moment Bellamy and Clarke begin to lead together. After getting to know each other better (1x01-1x03) – but not enough for them to even be friends, they find something in common: Charlotte.

And because of the whole mess she created by killing Wells (RIP bb) and accidentally framing Murphy for it, throughout the whole episode, Bellamy’s and Clarke’s leading styles clash and it was a mess.

That is until they realize they are both wrong, they lose Charlotte, they don’t know what to do with Murphy and then Bellamy finally accepts that they can’t leave in anarchy anymore. Clarke accepts that she can’t lead of her own, “We make the rules” and all that shiz. And bellarke become co leaders, what a beautiful thing.

BUT, on the same episode- Clarke and Finn finally get together. So, whatever it was that MIGHT have happened between Bellarke now that they’ve reached a middle ground (?))............. well, there’s a Finn in the way now. Sorry, folks.

(the writers know what they are doing im telling you).

But... but 1x04 is also the episode Raven comes down to earth.....hum. (more on that later).

(1x05)

(1x06)

1x05-1x06 follow 1x04’s lead. Bellamy and Clarke aren’t exactly friends, but they compromise. Bellamy is still somewhat of a “bad guy” (bad boy?), Clarke is the moral compass, and they fight a lot. Bellamy still has his agenda, Clarke still calls him on it (“That's why you took the wristbands. Needed everyone to think we're dead” -1x05 / “Yeah, he knows. Now has to live with it.” 1x06– Clarke after the deaths of the Culling). But they are understanding each other better step by step.

And what is interesting here is that the writers created this movement of Bellamy and Clarke getting closer and closer while Finn and Clarke got further away from each other.

On the first arc, episodes 1x02-1x03, when Bellamy and Clarke were the most apart, Clarke and Finn got closer and the writers were selling him as her obvious romantic interest with all the flirting and the smiles and the presents.

But on 1x04, as Bellamy and Clarke become leaders, Finn and Clarke get together for the first time only so the writers can show it was a farse (Raven). When 1x05 starts, Bellamy and Clarke just agreed to... agree, they are on their way of becoming closer- and Flarke is about to do the opposite.

That’s why 1x04-1x06 was an uncertain period for Bellarke as it was for Flarke.

For Bellarke, Bellamy and Clarke had this partnership where they would have a real conversation in one moment (“you’re not a murderer” 1x05/” Can you wish on this kind of shooting star?” 1x06) and fight on the next (see the quotes up there). For Flarke, Finn and Clarke were just dancing around each other, but Raven was his girlfriend and she loved him. Clarke was pissed at Finn, she wanted to stay away from him, but she had feelings for him, and they just wouldn’t have a definite conversation about the matter.

Which bring us to 1x07:

1x07 changed everything.

I know everyone loves 1x08 (so do I), but man, 1x07 is the reason everything happened the way it did.

Thing is, on 1x07 the writers threw grey all over the place. Sure, they were already playing with the ideal of people being morally grey since forever, but 1x07 was the real deal. Bellamy and Clarke connected like HECK….. and over torturing a person. (Only my otp would.)

And this is not something they can go back from. Clarke stained herself, and she didn’t know what to do with it. But there came Bellamy to tell her something he’d been telling himself for awhile: “Who we are and who we need to be to survive are very different things.”.

(something that rang so freaking deeply in her, she’d repeat it again: “ The things that we've done to survive, they don't define us.” 2x08)

Now, they have more in common than they had before. More than that, it’s like they are accepting that, crazy as it might be, they understand each other.

So, to me, it’s no coincidence that right before that Bellarke scene Clarke lets Finn go for good. Rewatch if any of you might, on 1x07 Clarke just tells him to be with Raven, and she walks away from him (and even though Clarke would still have feelings for Finn - that was the end of their romantic relationship for good.).

....... she walks away....from Finn....... and then that scene with Bellamy happens outside the dropship.

Smart writers.

Now Iv is probably reading this and saying “see?!?!? You’re just proving my point, THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN TOGETHER AT LEAST ONCE AFTER THAT”

Okay, okay, I know what you mean because here is the MOST FLIRTY ARC OF THIS ENTIRE SHOW i’m not gonna even describe me i’ll just leave the pics here:

1x08-1x10: The Bellamy and Clarke FEEL THINGS

Do I need to talk about it?

1x08-1x10 was epic, it was feels all over the place, it was Clarke and Bellamy bonding and pouring their hearts for each other, forgiving each other, accepting each other; It was flirting at inappropriate times, having deep conversations, trusting each other and making Finn annoyed and jealous. It was a freaking magical time.

I personally believe that only after this arc Bellamy and Clarke were close enough for their characters to “hook up” in some way and for it not to be OOC.

But, we only had 2 problems: 1- They were just getting closer. 1x07-1x10 happened in the span of days, they were beginning to truly be friends or something, so I think they would need more time.Plus, Clarke was hurting over Finn.

2- If there was anything to happen, before it could, they were separated.

The writers must have realized what Iv has (why wouldn’t bellamy and clarke hook up now??) because those two were separated all the time after this arc. They had the total amout of (*SPOILER NUMBER FOR IV*) separations, it’s ridiculous.

So here we go:

1x11-1x13: The Kidnapping Fest

Clarke and Bellamy were on their awesome co-leader, bickering mode. But Clarke and Finn are taken in the middle of 1x11, try to run away and failed.

Clarke and Finn manage to come back only at the end of 1x12, but then chaos had already started as they knew the grounders were coming (so yeah no time for anything else- only for dramatic co-speeches because Bellamy and Clarke will always have time to be Drama King and Queen).

(1x13)

On 1x13, they did their co-leadership thing, heart eyes and all, but they had a war to prepare to. And then, they were separated. Again.

Which actually bring us to Season 2.

( Season 2 isn’t as well structured as season 1. So I’m not gonna talk about season 2 arcs, but episodes)

As everyone well know, Bellarke was freaking separated up until episode 2x05.

(Sigh)

But right at the very moment they reunited, they found an obstacle already. (these writers are out to get us)

“Where’s Finn?” , Clarke asks Bellamy right away.

Well, Finn, Finn was killing people because he loved Clarke

(bc i’m extra and the writers are sneaky:

Make no mistake, this shiz is heavy. Clarke doesn’t deal well with blood on her hands, she hates it. Now she sees Finn, Spacewalker, supposedly the guy who loves peace and sunshine, killing 18 people in cold blood because of her.

( Is anyone really surprised the next theme of the season was “love is weakness” or-? )

So, from the moment Bellamy and Clarke reunited until they were separated again (2x09), all this was over Clarke’s head.

And things just kept piling up: Bellamy and Clarke reunited, they found Finn killed 18 grounders, the grounders now want Finn to die a very painful death to pay for his crime, huge tension fly between Arkers and Grounders -who were supposed to be allies as their people were stuck in Mt Weather. Finn surrenders himself, Clarke KILLS Finn, it haunts her like heck, L.exa s gets in her head that they are both leaders that need to “do what needs to be done” for their people – and that love is weakness.

But this was not only a huge emotional ride that happened in a short period. This shaped the way Clarke allowed herself to feel for Bellamy.

How? Let’s re- analyze things.

It sure seems that ~something~ changed about her feelings for Bellamy on the time they were away from each other. They went from walking side by side on 1x13:

To this:

It’s a freaking huge leap.

Not to mention all the times between 2x01-2x05 when it was pretty obvious she had been missing Bellamy, worrying about him AND equating him with Finn:

(”Not all of us”)

(” Finn and Bellamy?”)

When we get to 2x05, we can’t even tell for sure what Clarke’s feeling (I don’t think Clarke knew) , but ,my friends, it’s deep. But then when she finally finds Bellamy again – Finn is in trouble, and he killed for her, and he created tension between grounders/skypeople and he died at her own hands.

Finn, the guy she had feelings for. ( also had feelings for). The first member of the “ Finn and Bellamy???” duo.

And that’s when we realize this “duo” is no coincidence at all.

Her feelings for Bellamy are SO (VERY FREAKING MUCH) related to this season 2 plot that one of the first things she said to him on 2x09 was “I can’t lose you too” (remembering Finn). Right after we saw L.xa convincing Clarke that “love is weakness” and that leaders had to forget about the matters of the heart to take care of their people. Then Clarke let go of Finn (“Love is weakness”), then she let go of Bellamy too (“I was being weak”).

Which lead them to be separated, again.

And this time, it was not only the physical separation that set them apart and didn’t allow their relationship to reach a new level.

Now Clarke got this new belief that would only be over by the end of season 3 probably (that is, if it is over). Now Clarke puts her people first, forget about liabilities and love if they are an inconvenience.

(which is an interesting way to watch s03 if any of you might. )

Of course, that her love for Bellamy is a freaking bastard and it doesn’t exactly allow her to do that-

-But truth be told, this plot is also one of the huge reasons why they aren’t together (yet).

Clarke would later be haunted by other decisions she made on season 2B, which also separated her from Bellamy, and other separations (literal and metaphorical) came between them, but this is one arc is one of their most important obstacles.

Phew, since Iv hasn’t watched past 2x12 and this is long already, consider this meta a “part 1” of why the heck Bellarke didn’t get together yet.

However, for anyone (including you, Iv) that watches past 2x16 I’m pretty sure there are so many obstacles there we don’t even need to discuss it.

But we’ll see about that later.
