#sorry it’s just a little rant I’m annoyed. every character is mischarachterized in this fandom but Swansea gets very little defense

I think at present Swansea is suffering the worst from mischaracterization, just because I feel he’s the least popular character fandomwise, most other characters have people with brain cells defending them and writing better analysis while he doesn’t and it irks me. I’ll see posts saying “he isn’t a caring defensive father figure” (which is true!! I do like those depictions the same way I like Anya and curly murdering Jimmy, as a less serious more fun way) and then Every. Time. People jump to “he’s a hateful misogynistic alcoholic!!1!!!1!” And I just…..

He’s not either of those he’s a balanced character like every other character in Mouthwashing
