I think Chie is justified because if I had to sit next to Yosuke and hear the sexist and homophobic shit he was saying id want free steak too 😭

I agree on that but there's a theres a a few things about that.

Sorry in advance if this response is alittle long, I wanted to shorten it but I found the whole thing important to get the point across.

Do I agree? Kinda...

Remember this is the beginning of the game we're talking about. So before the fact that Yosuke doesn't say anything homophobic nor sexist till we meet Kanji.

And I don't think we can sure of what happened before Narukami came in. Even though the magician manga is my bibble, I will agree that it's non canon material. So by canon the only sus thing we know Yosuke did before everything was the 3am text messages, Yosuke deserves crucifixion for that ngl.

But here my understanding of why chie's behavior of the "you own me steak" don't slide

This is happening after Yosuke broke the dvd disk so he hasn't said anything wrong YET.

Where is Chie's energy when Yosuke is active being a bitch to Kanji?? The times she says or do something, it's about the sexist things or just convenient timing.

Chie gets to the extremes TOO QUICKLY! The drag contest. Yu, Teddie and Kanji did nothing to deserve that.

The last thing is because MOST not all of the thing Chie does to Yosuke isn't the right retaliation, I would say that she has a REASON to bully Yosuke but doesn't use it.

Reason is different from justification though, Does Chie often use the reasons that she haves to get Yosuke? No, most of the things are petty things.

I'll give an example: Yosuke said something homophobic last week. Earlier today Yosuke accidentally stepped on Chie's shoe, therefore she lashed out.

All thought It's easy to just hate a character I like to have understand of both sides and an idea of their reasoning behind their actions. Chie does indeed have reasons but is it just- no. And to make worse in P4 dancing she would still call him a disappointment, no different from the town I guess. :/

I know this may seem over critical of Chie like I hate her but I don't. I'm honestly neutral with her despise what my comics and animatic may convey. But I was thinking of making a Chie comic where It's giving less of a reason and more of a justification like you and other may want. Because again, Yosuke may be an ass sometimes but it's no reason to be an ass to him ALL the time. Good day
