I'm curious, are there any other fandoms your in besides Kingdom Hearts

Yeah! I do mostly post about KH because it's my current hyperfixation for over a year now whoops. I am in quite a few other fandoms, though I use the term "fandom" loosely; I enjoy the source material for most of these, but haven't really participated in any online communities (for the most part)

Warriors: My very first Internet fandom! I don't really participate often anymore but I still have Warriors OCs with a buttload of backstories. I've kinda lost interest in the series though.

Wings Of Fire: Again, don't participate too much and it's been a while since I've read the books. But gay dragons <333

Grishaverse: I love the Shadow and Bone trilogy and the Six of Crows duology!

TWEWY: I got introduced to TWEWY through DDD and now I love it almost as much as KH! Currently playing through NEO:TWEWY in my spare time :3

She-Ra (the 2018 remake): The 80's She-Ra was really popular when my mom and aunt were kids, so I had the DVDs for Season 1 and had nothing but fond memories of it, so I was really interested when Netflix announced SPOP. I watched the first season with my sister, forgot about it, and then finished watching it about a year ago. I shipped Catradora from the moment they showed up 😅and I was so happy when they confessed and kissed!

Spiderverse: Okay so I had heard of Spiderverse when it came out and I think my afterschool program played some of the movie but I hadn't really paid attention. About a year ago I decided that I finally wanted to watch it, and I'm so glad I did! It was very good, and the sequel was even better.

Crown of Feathers: This one's a bit more niche, but I read this series a little over a year ago. I had a good time with it (very good, much gay, also PHOENIXES) but I haven't really found anyone who's enjoyed it.

OH and HTTYD: I'm a *very* casual enjoyer of HTTYD. I only ever watched the main titles and RTTE, (sorry if you're reading this bev) but I do really want to watch some of the other stuff.

I think that's it? I'm still relatively new to online fandoms 😔

Hi there everyone! I've started a new tumblr account and I'm basically gonna be here to post art and try and make more friends who are into the same niche things that I'm into!

Here's a bit about myself:

My name is Quincy, but that is subject to change. This is because I only found out pretty recently that I'm non binary and at the moment I'm just testing the waters when it comes to names and such.

I'm an artist! I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and currently my goal is to go to college soon and study to be an art teacher.

I LOVE PLAYING D&D AND PATHFINDER!!! Im actually on the search for a campaign that I can join right now! Im just a bit picky because I want to find a group with other artists like myself that focuses HEAVY on characters/roleplay above all else. I'm sorry, I'm just a bit confused, I don't really follow you, and I'm terrible at following news of any kind, but I follow a some Grishaverse tags, and your posts about what Leigh had said about Helnik during her streams popped up, but I can't find what exactly did she say or do? I don't even know how old those posts are, and if your uncountable or don't feel the need to explain, I'll totally understand, thank you:33

Well, where to start... Bardugo hadn't always been like this, some time ago she seemed to support all the SoC couples. 

But it's a while I noticed negative behaviours towards Helnik and Matthias' fans. 

First of all, she often talks in a very insensitive way about Matthias' death (I'm not saying she must cry, but at least be respectful of his fans' rightful pain) and it has happened she also answered in a unprofessional and even mocking manner on Twitter to readers who asked her if he might come back. 

In interviews, she also said unpleasant things about the character to justify the fact she killed him for no reasons, like, for example, "He spread too much hate and didn't deserve a happy ending". Like, excuse me, but 1. He was brainwashed by Brum, grew up in a shitty culture but he was willing then to be a better person; 2. Kaz is definitely not a Saint too, but she built him a huge plot armor and treats him as her precious baby. 

You know, I don't like when people have double standards.

Not to mention the fact that, just yesterday, she found four fanarts on Instagram: a Darklina, a Kanej, a Wesper and a Helnik. She shared Kanej and Wesper on her stories and Darklina on her account, ignoring the Helnik. 

Like, she really did show her support even to a discussed couple like Darklina but not to Helnik.

I'm not an Anti-Darkling, I don't care about Alina's ships and I don't judge people who ship them (plus, I read only the beginning of the Trilogy), but I hope you understand what I mean. 

Now, I cannot be 100% sure she did it on purpose, but it's a suspect move to me, since, in about a year, I never saw her sharing Helnik's fanarts.

She gives the impression she's trying to distance from Helnik and this is not correct, because Helnik shippers are part of her fandom too and deserve respect as well as the other shippers.  

She cannot expect Helnik fans to move over the couple and stop thinking about it, pretending it never happened.  

She canonized Helnik (and she wasn't forced to do that, if she really disklied them) and made a considerable part of readers love them. She cannot feel offended if we're rightfully upset and will never agree on what she did and is still doing. She should be aware that readers has all the right to feel angry, disappointed and complain as much as we want (especially because, I will never stop saying it, Matthias' death is one of the worst plot choices I even read, random, unnecessary and with a very horrible symbolism).

She is not a fan, she's the author and and adult woman, so she shouldn't take positions on her readers' fandomic tastes.

Of course, readers should not insult or cyberbully her, that is always wrong. But, at the same time, she should treat all her fans equally. 

I hope my impressions are wrong. I hope I misunderstood her intentions, but all these behaviours together sound very explicit to me.

And it's very bad for readers thinking that the author of a story they love stopped to support them.

 And this is for people who hate Matthias and Helnik: I am sure you would feel like us, if this has been done to a character and a ship you love, so don't waste your time being rude under my post.

hiya, i hope you slept well! going through old messages and posts always brings back so many fond memories, but the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia that comes with all those memories can be overwhelming. i keep thinking of my old fandoms, too. even though i wasn't the most active user so to speak (what can i say, i'm an introvert, always have been hahaha), it was nice to come in here and ramble in the tags and post fics and share my excitement with the rest of the fandom. i've been in a bit of a reading slump lately. i may try reading "if we were villains", which has been on my tbr shelf for ages, and see if i can get back on track with that one. i'm super excited about ve schwab's new book, i have a feeling it's going to be one of my favorite reads of the year. actually, most of the books i want to read this year are coming out in october or september, oop. i'm looking at you "a deadly education", "piranesi" and "plain bad heroines". I CAN'T WAIT. (2/3)

oh, and i'm so excited about the grishaverse tv show as well!! jesper is my favorite boy in the books, but the casting for inej and kaz is AMAZING. to this day i still haven't got around to reading the shadow and bone trilogy, so i definitely need to do that before the show airs. ah, i guess i’m just going through a really difficult period of my life and my mind still considers this place a safe haven. indeed it is a bit bittersweet to be back because what i miss the most are the people i bonded with back then and it hurts to see some of them deactivated or inactive for a few years but life goes on and memories stay, right? and i understand, i enjoyed the fandom much more at the beginning when it was smaller and felt like a tight-knit community. then it grew enormously and i felt super shy too >< what other fandoms were you a part of before?

i also didn’t read much this year (and last year), my mind really can’t focus on too many things at a time. i have these periods when i only read books or only watch tv shows?? but we could read something together to get out of this slump if you’d be up for it! according to my goodreads “if we were villains” is also on my tbr since 2017 :d and deadly education has me super excited too! i love naomi novik, even though i only read uprooted before, i always wanted to read more from her

haha i just noticed that addie la rue, deadly education and piranesi have kind of the same black&gold style of covers and i'm all for it! 

oooh you have to read the shadow and bone!! it's definitely not as good as six of crows but i have a soft spot for this series nonetheless! that's where the grisha world started and i'm so happy that leigh bardugo continued with the universe. the darkling is a great villain and that's where you meet one of the fictional loves of my life, nikolai lantsov <3 but i definitely need a reread too, i read king of scars this year and i couldn't remember a thing that happened before ><
