I know you talked about Sandy and Debbie before; but I avoided it because I didn't want to be spoiled too much; but I finally got to that and!! I don't really like Sandy?? I have abandonment issues too so I totally get Debbie and am on her side so maybe I'm biased but like Sandy's lack of communication really frustrated me + then her response to Debbie's emotions and insecurities being "you're a psycho" also frustrated me and overall I feel like Debbie deserves someone better than Sandy; fuck what Frank said
but I know you like Sandy and Debbie together so do you mind explaining why? maybe im missing something; and if youve talked about this before, you can just link me to that!
wow i love this ask so much
so i like them together, but once 11x05-11x08 hit i don’t really. i’m surprised i havent talked about this more, and if anyone wants me to i will, but sebbie and gallavich have so many parallels so i think that a part of why i liked them was because they’re very similar to gallavich.
^ and much like gallavich, they SERIOUSLY struggle with miscommunication. this is what ruins them, and this is what nearly ruined gallavich. one thing about them is that the way they were raised fucks with a lot of it. i think this applies to every single relationship every gallagher has been in (especially gallagher x milkovich ships, like gallavich and whatever lip x mandy was called) struggles with miscommunication because the way milkoviches are vs how gallagher’s are is very different. debbie was raised by frank, monica, and fiona. her perspective on what love was was seriously warped because she saw frank and monica’s love which was… well, you know, and then fiona and her many boyfriends who treated her like shit. on top of this, she has serious abandonment issues and is still yet to learn how to cope with them. in sandy’s case, we don’t know much about her childhood other than the fact that she was basically raised as mickey’s sister and got into a serious relationship with an adult at fifteen, so i don’t think it’s too absurd to assume that she didn’t have a great childhood.
sandy is more comfortable with leaving and has a hard time expressing her emotions. debbie doesn’t want anyone to leave her, ever, and can express her emotions but probably not in the most “healthy” way.
i think that i’m biased too because i also have abandonment issues so i get it. but idk.
they had potential, for sure, i think that the mere possibility that debbie could have a girlfriend who validated her emotions and stayed with her was great but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. that devestates me because i’ve talked about this many times, but i’ll say it again, debbie’s trapped in this endless cycle of attaching herself then being left, over and over again. it is literally her entire storyline.
i think that debbie’s feelings about not knowing a lot about sandy’s life were valid, i don’t know if i’d fully defend tracking her but hey, gallagher’s have done much worse- i don’t really blame her for wanting to know if her girlfriend was cheating on her or living a double life or what (*cough* jimmy-steve *cough*). but also, if i were sandy, i would be pretty pissed about that! regardless, why didn’t she tell debbie (her girlfriend of like, nine months at that point) where she worked or where she lived? i get that she was embarrassed but that’s your girlfriend, man. invalidating her feelings on that and calling her a pyscho wasn’t cool, but again, i’m biased and if i were her i wouldn’t be very happy. we have to remember the severity of debbie’s abandonment/attachment issues and how she thinks that’s okay and normal. she reached this point of feeling dependent on sandy and it makes sense that she freaked out the way she did.
but god, i hated 11x07. i mean, i loved it, but i hated it. i think it was a really realistic depiction of abandonment issues, and it was amazing for it’s awknolegment of debbie’s trauma (i wish we got more of that and i wish that people fucking listened to that part). overall, that was a very debbie-centric episode so i loved that, but god, the fight they had.
i have more to say but idk how to say it here, but i really liked sebbie in the sense that i thought they had potential, more potential than anyone else debbie had been with, but their ending was bullshit and i really don’t like the things that went down.

Hiii and welcome!! May I please request for the lovable annoying baby Hinata who has a HUGE crush on this popular girl in his class and one day she sees him at the mall or something and rushes to him begging him to pretend to be her boyfriend because there’s a group of guys that won’t leave her alone and that’s when she finally realizes that this gorgeous sweetheart exists and Hinata is just on cloud 9 the entire time but then he remembers it’s all fake :((((( teeeee
✿ pretend boyfriend pt. 1
♡ scenario ♡ for hinata
❧ fem reader
✎ 3.2k words
a/n: aw hello ty for the welcome <3 also this request made me cackle AAHAHAHAHA. also this format is interesting lolol, im so indecisive about how i want it
anyways, hope u enjoy hehe >.> this came out a lot longer than i had originally planned but did i even have a plan in the first place buut i aint complaining LOL
also yes theres going to be a pt 2 firhfnxfwifj hehe
requests: open! pls bbys dun b shy i have summer skool soon fml i need this to make me procrastinate on work LMAO
-having been preoccupied with volleyball, crushes never crossed Hinata’s mind
-however, he was about to find out that he was quite clueless when it came to love
-he found himself speeding to school on his bike one morning, riding at breakneck speed to try to make it on time
-ahhhh, i was so excited about the first day of going to karasuno and seeing their volleyball team that i couldnt sleep until 4 am...!
-that explains why he overslept
-lost in his thoughts, he nearly failed to notice the girl who was walking in front of him
-and so, at the very last minute, he swerved. i nto a tree.
- “oh my gosh! are you okay??”
-if he wasn’t okay before, now he’s cURED because the most beautiful girl was looking down at him with an outstretched hand, concern in her eyes
-he jumped up instead and waved his arms in front of himself, blushing and nodding, “y-yeah, I’m fine! don’t worry about me, a-are you okay??”
- “you’re the one who crashed into the tree!” you responded with shock as you moved to pick up his bike off the ground (luckily, it was undamaged)
-he took the handlebars after you offered them to him
-you frowned slightly. “i’m sorry, i should’ve watched where i was going. are you hurt?”
-he was too busy gawking at you to realize his head started bleeding
-cue you yelling frantically “y-your head! it’s bleeding!” and rushing him to the nurse’s office
-in his head: ‘i-im holding her hand’
-nearly combusted on spot
-and that was how he met you
-later he found out he actually shared the same class with you!
-though you never seemed to notice LOL
-you sat on the opposite side of the room, closer to the front of the class
-he sat all the way in the back, so it’s not like you would’ve really seen him but it was the perfect spot for hinata to stare at you and not pay attention to class
-and during breaks or when the teacher left the room for a few minutes, everyone around you would try to spark up a conversation with you
-oh how he wished he could make you smile and laugh like that too
-and whenever he saw you outside of class, he hid immediately (behind walls, doors, lockers, people *coughkageyamacough* “hinata boke!”, etc) and admired you from afar, way too nervous to approach you after your first encounter several weeks ago
-he just kNOWS he’ll do something stupid and end up a stuttering, blushing mess
-besides, you probably forgot who he was ;((
-one day at lunch, he hid behind yamaguchi, who was confused until he followed hinata’s intent gaze to your form, which was walking by in front of the pair
-kageyama, who also took notice, smiled devilishly
- “pfffft, she’d never glance your way”
- tsukki deadpanned, “you don’t stand a chance. she’s way too pretty for you and people are lining up just to talk to her”
-cue hinata fighting kags n tsukki, blushing and with tears pricking at his eyes
- “aw, guys, don’t be so mean, I think he just has a crush!” yams snickered what an angel (no i am not in love w this man)
-one weekend, hinata was out in a nearby shopping area to get some snacks for natsu cuz she wouldn’t stop bugging him about it (“you ate the rest of my candy, so you have to go get me some more!”)
-as he was leaving the store, hand in his bag, he felt a tug on his sleeve and heard a “psst”
-some higher being must’ve blessed him that day because here he was, face to face with the girl who’s been on his mind everyday for several weeks
-sdgfhjkljihyuitufjhk
-error.exe
-he opened his mouth to say something, maybe like a:
-“h-hey! you look familiar, I totally don’t know your name or think about you before i sleep at night, s-so hOWS the weather???”
-but before he could humiliate himself speak, you gave him a small smile and asked, “aren’t you the guy i took to the nurse after you crashed into that tree?”
- “y-yeah, that was me!” he stuttered out
-he was trying so hard to keep his cool, but he could feel his palms get sweaty and his body quiver with pANIC
-you stifled a giggle with your hand (hinata: so cute dfghjfgljkl) "im glad to see you’re doing well. sorry, i never introduced myself. my name’s y/n, what’s yours?”
-you extended your hand as a greeting
-yet all he could do was stare at it, dumbfounded
-the two brain cells he owned said we ouTTIE
- “my name’s hinata!” he yelled dramatically for no reason. “sorry, my hand’s a bit sweaty, otherwise i would shake yours!” so instead, he bent forward in a bow
-eyes wide at his sudden outburst and gesture, you laughed in response and waved a hand, “it’s okay, really! nice to meet you again, hinata”
-a few moments of silence passed by, he was still bending over, and you were looking at your surroundings awkwardly
-risking a glance up, he caught a nervous expression on your face, and it made his eyebrows furrow in concern
- “hey, are you okay?” he asked as he straightened his body
-nice. smooth and direct.
-you sheepishly looked at the ground and absentmindedly itched the side of your head, twirling a strand of hair with your finger
- “this is kinda embarrassing, but um... could you do me a favor? i promise it’s nothing too bad!”
-little do you know he would literally do aNYthing for you right now
- “of course!” he replied a little too quickly. “w-what is it?”
- “soooo, i ran into these guys from school earlier, and they won’t stop bothering me, especially this one guy. a lot of girls like him and think he’s cool, but he’s such a jerk! i honestly don’t know what they see in him. he’s been so insistent on dating me the past few weeks that i try to avoid him as much as possible...”
-you shyly looked up at him and he had to refrain from exploding
- “could you please, uh, pretend to be my boyfriend?”
-b-b-b-boYFrIeNd??
- “y-y-y-your b-b-b-boyf-f-friend?” he managed to sputter
-you clasped your two palms together in front of your face like a prayer and leaned forward slightly, closing your eyes. “just for today, i promise! i remember you were really sweet when i first met you, so i thought i could ask you! i need to get a few things and i know he’s still around here, so i might run into him and his friends again. also, earlier, i uh... kinda told him i had a boyfriend to see if he would back off, but i think it just made him angrier...”
-you were talking a bit too fast for hinata’s nonexistent brain to process, but he got the gist
-basically, he needed to pretend to be your boyfriend in front of some guy that wouldn’t leave you alone
-it almost sounded like a dream come true
-except for the fact this was all fake and he wasn’t actually your boyfriend
-BUT HE GOT TO TALK TO YOU AND PRETEND TO BE SOMETHING HE WANTED TO BE
-AND PROTECT YOU
-AND HE GOT TO TALK TO YOU
-but...
- “err, how do i do that?”
-you looked back up at him questioningly. “do what?”
-he looked off to the side in embarrassment. “w-well, i’ve never really dated anyone, so i’m not sure how to act and make it believable...”
-you clasped his hands making him even more flustered and jumped up in excitement
- “so you’ll do it??”
-he could only manage to nod in response
- “great! ahhhh, thank you so much! you don’t know how much i appreciate this! as for the acting... well, we just have to do couple-y things. y’know, hold hands, stand close to one another, feed each other, take pictures together, kiss, all that stuff. just follow my lead!”
-did his ears deceive him?
-did you just say
-kISS??
-he?? was going to get?? to?/ kisS yOu?//dfokgjif
-he definitely looked like an idiot right now
-wide eyes glazed over, mouth opened slightly for the soul leaving his body, a grey and sickly pale complexion, stomach twisting from nerves and butterflies
-noya and tanaka would be so jealous
-and possibly kill him so they could replace him as your pseudo boyfriend
- “hinata? what’s wrong, d-did i say something?”
-your concerned voice brought him back to earth
-gazing into your cute, confused eyes, he took a deep breath and exhaled
- ‘im acting so uncool right now! y/n needs my help!’
-he mustered up the courage to flash you a determined smile and a thumbs up. “i’ll be the best fake boyfriend you could ever ask for!”
-you could’ve sworn you felt your heart skip a beat
-you chuckled at his genuine display and smiled back. “then in that case, would you mind tagging along as i pick up a few things?”
-he could barely hold himself together when you clasped his hand and scooted close to him
-so close he could smell a pleasant scent wafting from you
- ‘i cant believe this is happening im holding her hand agAIN was this meant to be—‘
-and then his mind went blank for like the hundredth time in the last several minutes
-he followed you around, trying to steady his rapidly beating heart and ignore the warmth that remained on his cheeks
-how could you be so calm when you two were holding hands for so long?? (kags: it means she doesnt like u)
-he was both elated and terrified at the same time
-hinata couldn’t help but relish the way your fingers felt interlocked with your own
-how you slightly swung your arms together as you walked
-the way your eyes shone as you talked so casually with him
-the crinkle of your eyes and the sweet sound of your laugh when he said something that was apparently funny
- ‘fjjkdjnf i made her laugh‘
-he couldn’t help but notice the way your hair brushed your face when you leaned forward to inspect an item on a shelf
- “this is kinda cute, don’t you think?” you held up a small plush of a hedgehog
- “y-yeah, adorable!” but i’m not talking about the hedgehog
-it was no surprise to him, really, to see why you were so popular with everyone
-what’s not there to like? aside from your stunning beauty and intelligence, you were naturally charming and radiated an aura that just drew others in
-two hours passed and you both ended up sitting at a table, hands linked together across the table’s surface
- “ah, i need to answer this,” you breathed out, letting go of his hand to rummage your bag and answer your ringing phone
-ngl his hand was already getting cold and he missed your touch
-after a few nods and short replies, you ended the call and stood up
- “well, now that i’ve gotten everything, i have to head home now. ..”
- “oh... i-i mean, oh, alright! uhh, it was nice um, shopping with you!”
-his heart sank a bit now that this blissful time had come to an end
-disappointment seeped in hello darkness my old friend
-you, too, were a bit dismayed. you never expected to have enjoyed your time with him that much
-how come you never saw him at school? you definitely would’ve loved to get to know him more...
- “y-yeah, i had a good time, too! er, shopping, i mean! thanks again for following me around, though. you’re really sweet, hinata. i don’t know what i would’ve done without your help...”
- ‘come on, this is your chance!’
-boyo took another deep breath and opened his mouth to say, “y/n, could we do this again som--”
- “y/n! heyyy, i’ve been looking for you, sweet cheeks!”
-you both whipped around to see a group of guys approaching your table
-quickly, you pulled hinata close to you and whispered in his ear, “act natural.”
-nAtUral?????
-nodding, he stood up straighter and hesitantly snaked an arm around your waist
-then stiffened in fear when you were both surrounded by a group of guys who were all way taller than him
-you gave the boys a suspicious eye and scooted closer into hinata’s touch
-“what do you want? for the last time, i am not going out with you. don’t you know anything about respecting other people? besides, i’m already with someone,” you huffed
-the one in the front cocked an eyebrow at the sight of you two
-he had silky dark hair, smooth skin, a captivating gaze, and a smirk that could creep right under your skin
-“you expect me to believe small fry’s your boyfriend? him? with YOU? you could do so much better, buttercup. I could make you feel so good.”
-hinata could tell this guy was bad news. really bad news. he was the type who wouldn’t take no for an answer
- ‘ahhh, what do i do?? if i just stand here, he’s gonna keep harassing her! and possibly even hurt her...’
-the guy inched closer to you, much to your obvious discomfort as you stepped back, and he reached out to touch your cheek
-but hinata was quicker, and he slid in front of you before the guy could lay a finger on you
- “leave her alone! she obviously wants nothing to do with you.”
-the fiery glint in his eye was almost enough to make the other guy back off, but his pride wouldn’t let him
-angry, he instead grabbed fistfuls of hinata’s collar and spat in his face, “say that again, shorty.”
-hinata continued to stare into the other guy’s eyes daringly and grabbed a hold of his wrist in response
- “she said no. quit harassing a girl who’s made it clear she’s not interested, or else.”
- “or else what.”
-his grip on the guy’s wrist tightened and his eyes sharpened. “you’ll have to get through me, first.”
- “tch,” the taller male scoffed. he let go of hinata, pushing him back and glaring as he did so. then he glanced over at you still standing behind the orange-haired boy
- “bet you’ll get bored of shortstack over here soon enough. i’ll be waiting,” he remarked with a wink
-then he and his friends turned and walked away, disappearing from view
-hinata, who’s been running on pure adrenaline during this whole encounter, then collapsed on the floor from all the excitement and terror he tried to contain
- “h-hinata?!” you gasped, using your arms to support his sluggish body
- “ahhh... i thought he’d at least swing at me, but i got lucky...”
-he sounded breathless
-however, the last thing he expected was the soft press of your lips on his cheek
- “thank you, hinata. i really appreciate the way you stood up for me back there. no one’s ever really done that for me.”
-how many times can you die and come back to life in the same day?? p sure hinata’s broken the record for that by now
- “o-o-o-of course! i couldn’t just let him keep thinking that going after you like this is o-okay! i-i didn’t even do much, i-i mean you’ve been standing up to this guy for weeks, this was the least i could do to help--”
-and you were huGGING HIM
-he awkwardly returned the gesture, eyes wide with shock as he patted your back
- “i mean it. thank you. i hope he backs off, but...” you bit your lip and pulled away
- “w-what’s wrong...?”
-you sighed. “i have a feeling he’s still going to be bothering me for a while. i hate to ask this of you, but...”
- “could you pretend to be my boyfriend for a bit longer? at least until he gets the hint and stops...?”
-did this mean...
- ‘dating’ you at scHOOL???
-kageyama and tsukki will never let him live it down, he could already imagine their comments
- “why’d she pick you of all people for this job?? you’re so?? you???”
- “couldn’t she have chosen to be with someone more believable??”
-he shook his head from his thoughts
- “i-is that a no?” you asked worriedly
- “n-no! i mean, yes! i mean, ignore that! i can pretend for as long as you need, y/n.”
- “ahhh, thank you so much, hinata! i promise i’ll treat you to something in return!” you brought him back in a hug, swaying side to side in glee
-you both stood up after you let go. “we should exchange numbers!” you suggested
- ‘oh my gawd, im getting her number rdftegiuofref’
-tanaka and noya would be so proud tho
-you quickly typed down your contact information on his phone before handing it back to him. “alright, here you go, just give me a text! i have to go now.”
-you picked up your bags and gave him a parting smile. “i’ll see you at school! get home safe!”
-and with that, you were on your way
-he stood there and watched as you left, holding onto the cheek you had kissed earlier
-he couldn’t believe it
extra:
-he had texted you after he got home, giggling like a lovesick preteen (was he not thooo LOL) as he was reading your messages and sharing memes with you
y/n 乁( ⏒ ͜ʖ ⏒ )ㄏ : oh ye btw, who’s your teacher? also, where do you usually hang out? just so i know where to find you. i never c u around school for som reason
me: oh rlly? thats strange... (pretending like he doesnt hide from you lol) im usually in the courtyard during lunch or in the gym for volleyball practice, and i have class with ms. akio
y/n 乁( ⏒ ͜ʖ ⏒ )ㄏ : WE’RE IN THE SAME CLASS??? omg im so sorry, i never noticed :((
me: oh no its okay! i sit all the way in the back, so
y/n 乁( ⏒ ͜ʖ ⏒ )ㄏ : well, i’ll make sure to greet you next time :) ! we’ll be seeing each other a whole lot more now, so
-he was still smiling like an idiot when natsu burst open his bedroom door
- “where’s my candy?!”
-shit, you probably took it with all your other bags by accident
- “uhhh....”
- “shoyooooo! you owe me, big time!”
-he rolled his eyes. “yeah, yeah, i know, i’m sorry, i’ll buy you twice as much tomorrow.”
-he went back to typing away at his phone
-natsu raised her eyebrows in curiosity. “whatcha doinnn?”
- “nothing, go away.”
- “you’ve been on your phone all day!”
- “and?”
- “are you talking to a giiirrrlllll?”
- “n-no!”
- “then why are you blushinggg?? moommm! shoyo has a girlfriend!” then she added to her brother, “can i see her?? is she pretty??”
-he just groaned, putting a hand up to his face to cover his blush, and nodded

Fixer Upper: (S.R.) 1
Tumblr media
Pairings: Mom!Reader x AU!Steve Rogers
A/N: This is an AU where he’s a cop. Not my gif, if you guys wanna be tagged I can start a tag list. Also the daughters name, you can use whatever you want, I just needed something to call her lol.
Warnings: cursing, eventual smut, children, past trauma, cop Steve, lost child, panic, anxiety, alcohol.
                                                    One
I glanced back in the rear view mirror, catching a glimpse of my tiny person in the passing street lights, even though it was only seven it was dark out. “Bub, do you want some of my fries?”
“Yeah, mama” she answers quietly, clearly tired. Expertly I dug in the bag of take out to grab a couple of fries and reach back to hand them to her. She takes them from my hand gently.
Suddenly, flashing blue lights catch my attention and I curse under my breath. Turning on my blinker, I pull over to the side of the road, my heart thrumming in my chest watching as the door to the cop’s car open.
“Mama, what's going on?” she asks. I shush her as a gentle tap sounded on the window. I rolled it down and offered a small smile to the officer, keeping my eyes on anywhere but above his lips. “Hello, sir.”
He returns the smile and asks, “Do you know why I pulled you over?” I shook my head, though I’m pretty sure it was about my tag light. “Your tag light is out” I had figured as much.
“I know, I’m sorry,” I blush sheepishly with a soft sigh. “I meant to have my friend change it, but I forgot. I don’t know how to do it. Otherwise, I would do it myself.” He went to open his mouth to say something when a tiny voice spoke up from the back interrupting him, “Mama, are we in trouble?”
He paused and glanced in the back at her, his face going soft, “No, sweetheart. I’m going to help your mom change her light.” He looks back at me, “Do you have the bulb with you, ma’am?” I nod, reaching over to open the glove box and pull out the small purple package to hand over to him.
“Come on,” he instructed gently, taking a hold of the box through the window. “I’ll show you how to change it.” He steps back from my door, giving me room to step out of my vehicle. I followed closely, pulling my flannel tighter around my body as the cold rushed against my exposed skin.
Knowing he would need a few tools, I unlatch the trunk and pull my phone out to shine the light around to find them. Once retrieved, I hand them over to him. Keeping on the flashlight, I direct it towards the dead bulb for him to see what he’s doing while also watching his shoulder.
Expertly, he swaps the two bulbs out within minutes and disposes of the old one into the package the new one had occupied. Once the tools were neatly placed back into the trunk, I closed it happy to see both lights fully lit.
He stood next to me, slightly towering over me and built like a wall. I finally had the courage to look at his face, it was chiseled as if he was made out of stone and his hair was long but well kept, not a strand out of place “Alright, you have a nice night, ma’am” he says with a smile pulling me from my thoughts, pushing back his blonde hair.
“You too, officer” I trail off to read his name tag. “Rogers.” I hold out a hand for him to take and he grasps it with a semi firm hold, gently shaking my hand. We both separate heading to our cars. I sat down and let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding in. I thought I would end up with a ticket, but instead I ended up with a gentleman that helped me more than he can imagine. A cute gentleman, at that.
“Did he fix the light?” My daughter asks quietly.
I nod, starting up the car once more, “Yeah, baby. He did.” I pull back onto the road and continue on in the direction we were headed. Noticing he doesn’t leave until I’ve made it a little farther down the road.
Within ten minutes, I’m pulling into the driveway of my best friend's home, and putting the car in park. Unbuckling, I hop out and help with her buckles. Gathering her in my arms, I walk to the door and knock a tune until someone opens. “Hey!” squeals Natasha pulling us both into a tight hug, which we return.
“Hey, you will never believe what happened,” I say with a laugh as I follow her into the kitchen. Nat makes her way over to the counter where she pours us both a glass of wine. I place Theo down, letting her run over to her red headed friends and grabbing the wine glass Nat offers. I take a swig, feeling the silky liquid glide down my throat and my nerves immediately relax.
“So, what happened?” She asks leaning against her counter looking at me expectantly.
“I got pulled over for the tag light,” I explain, pausing to take another sip. Slowly feeling the warmth build with each sip. My nerves finally calmed after being pulled over.
“The one that Clint was supposed to fix,” She says nodding, signaling she was following me in my recap of the events that had unfolded just moments before.
“Well, the cop fixed it,” I tell her and her eyes go wide.
“You’re kidding!” She says shocked as she leans against her island counter. “That was really nice of him.” I nod in agreement and finish the rest of my drink. “Was he cute?” I gave her a glare as I poured my second glass, to which she held her hands up in defense, “What? All I’m insinuating is that you need to get laid.”
I choke on my wine and look up at her, “Oh my god Nat, would you stop.” She just laughs, clearly proud of herself. Rolling my eyes I say, “You know how I feel about that.” I wasn’t ready to open up again, not after what we’ve been through.
“You can't keep being scared of letting someone in,” she states, finishing off her first glass and immediately pouring another glass of the red liquid.
I shake my head, “it’s not that-“ she quickly cuts me off “Oh, it’s not? Then what is it?” She crosses her arms looking at me expectantly, but I bow my head knowing it’s exactly that. I stayed silent, just trying to enjoy my drink.
“Clint might know him,” She suggests, changing the subject back to officer Rogers after a long pause of silence. She hated when conversations fell silent.
“Clint’s a fireman,” I corrected her downing the second glass. Though I’m sure they have crossed paths at some point in time but really I didn’t want to have to continue this conversation.
“Okay and, they still have to work together,” she states, not up for any of my excuses, knowing damn well I was trying to avoid the topic and she wasn’t going to have that.
I shake my head dismissing the conversation topic, “Don’t worry about it, Nat. I’ll probably never see him again” She shakes her head at me now, filling my glass for a third time. She can’t argue with me on the fact I might never see him again, though. Dating isn’t exactly the first thing on my mind like it is her. She wants me to find someone and get my happy ending, but the only person I really need right now is my daughter. And as I told Natasha, I’m okay with that.
After the kids grew tired and us both grew tipsy, She took her two to bed while I set up the couch. I watch Theo yawn and smile admiring how cute she looks when she’s tired. She crawls onto the couch curling in on herself. I lay down next to her, wrapping myself around her and making sure we were both covered with the blanket. “Mama?” She asks quietly
“Yeah baby?” I respond with a yawn, as I rub her back. What she said took me by surprise,  “You should make the policeman your prince.” I falter in rubbing her back, unsure of what to say or how to handle this situation.
As I open my mouth to speak, I hear her soft breath, knowing fully well that she is asleep. She must have overheard our conversation earlier and that bothered me. That wasn’t something she needed to worry about or really know about. I don’t care about love, I have her to worry about.
I play with her hair, watching over her as she sleeps peacefully. I don’t want to bring a man into her life and things not work out and have her get confused. I sigh and look up at the ceiling, staring at it as if it’d give me some magical answer.
I’m not sure when I fell asleep last night, but I felt refreshed. The smell of food had woken me up along with the sound of Clint announcing that breakfast was ready. I pull myself from the couch and make my way to the kitchen. It was clear Theo was already up, seeing as she wasn’t beside me.
“Look who finally decided to wake up, it’s my second wife” Clint says as I trudge into the kitchen. He has called me his second wife for as long as I can remember. Nat always scolded him when he called me that. It started off as a way for him to pick on me, because I was always in need of his help but now it was a term of endearment, sort of.
I poured myself a cup of coffee and rolled my eyes at Clint. Nat hit his chest and he made an oof sound. “So I heard you had the hots for a cop? Are you cheating on me?” He mocks hurt as he dodges another slap from Nat, laughing as he successfully dodged.
I rolled my eyes “No dear, I would never” I cupped his cheek and gave it a gentle tap. He smiled causing me to shake my head. Moving away from him I leaned against the island looking over at Theo who was paying no mind as she ate her pancakes.
“I probably know him, if you’d just give me his name” he urges clearly the work of Nat who was hell bent on me dating. I applaud her efforts, I really do.
“I’m hurt, you'd sell out like that,” I said, placing a hand over my chest, his jaw drops as he looks between Nat and I. I smile while taking a sip of coffee. He stammers to make a sentence, “Now sweetheart-” I shook my head silencing him. “I don’t wanna hear it, you’ve hurt me”
Nat laughs, these two have been my best friends for years and sure we had a strange dynamic, but it works. He sighs, “Still need me to change your tag light?” His son hands him a half full plate, which Clint starts eating off of.
“No, the nice hot officer changed it for her last night” Nat batted her lashes and chuckles as I flipped her off out of sight from the kids. They were never going to let this dating thing go, not as long as I live.
“Oh he’s hot and a gentleman” Clint said with his mouth slightly full earning a glare from Nat. “And what’s wrong with hot and nice?” I rolled my eyes at them and their constant badgering to get back in the saddle.
“I never said he was hot” I said waving them off, “And besides, I don’t want to date right now” with a shrug I dismissed them both. They both just rolled their eyes tired of hearing the same things over and over again. Clint threw the child's plate into the sink, as he leaned on the counter, “what still needs fixing?”
I laughed, the whole damn house was in need of a complete remodel but was slowly coming together, between him and my brother helping us out. As much as I would love to hire contractors to get it all done at once, I don’t have the money. I thought for a moment, “do you want the whole list or what we can do in a day?”
He thought for a moment and said, “in a day” We’d already put months into fixing it, doing small things here and there and then doing the major projects when we could. We’d just finished remodeling Theos bathroom.
“There’s a step on the front porch that is cracked, shower door is off the tracks, so is Theos closet door, and I got a few new light fixtures to put up” he nodded to each of my requests, it was a light load considering he practically lived there when we’d first moved in. To be completely honest though I didn’t like stealing Nat's husband, though they insisted it was no problem and I’m sure it wasn't but I still didn’t like it.
“Okay I’ll be over later, let me know when you get home” I nodded and walked over to the table where Theo was finished eating, waiting patiently. I took her plate, and told her to say goodbye to her friends, as I hugged Nat goodbye promising to see her again one night this week.
-
As I was driving I realized I needed to pick up a few more things so I stopped at the hardware store. I grabbed a cart, holding onto Theo’s hand as we walked through the store trying to find the items. I let go of her hand to grab the light fixtures I told him I had picked up which I totally forgot I didn’t. I felt a sudden emptiness and I looked around “Theo?” I started to panic not seeing her anywhere near.
The thoughts I had running through my mind made me sick, and as much as I’d like to be calm I wasn’t. “Theo!” I yelled not really caring about the stares as I walked fast looking down the aisles, “Theo?!” Where the hell did she go? What if she was kidnapped?
And out from one of the aisles walked the cop from last night holding her hand, “I think I have something of yours” It was a joke trying to calm me down. I could’ve dropped to my knees, hell I could've thrown up.
Ignoring him I bent down to look at her, keeping my calm. I said, “don't run off like that, you scared me” She knew the rules, she was to keep right next to me or the cart. She pouts looking at the floor, “sorry mama” she sniffled, still holding onto his hand. I wasn’t yelling or really that upset, I’m just glad she was okay. I stood back up and looked at officer rogers, “thank you so much, officer”
“Please call me Steve, it’s no problem” he gave me a smile as he finally let her hand go and then noticed my full cart, “got a big day ahead, huh?” I laughed slightly to be polite while also grabbing onto Theos hand, “more like my friend does” he looked at me softly and slightly tilted his head. I was unsure what thoughts were running through his mind and didn’t know if I wanted to.
“You know if you ever need another set of hands I'd be happy to help” he offered, as I was trying to deny him but he was already pulling out some kind of card and writing down his number, handing it to me. I wanted to say something but he was being so nice and genuine I felt like I couldn’t say no. So I smiled knowing I didn’t actually have to call him, “I’ll give you a call, Steve”
“It was nice seeing you again” he paused and I filled in the blank for him. He smiled and then looked down at Theo “you too sweetheart” she gave him the biggest smile and hugged his leg as a goodbye. We parted ways and I looked down at he, I knew in my child’s head what she was doing or at least trying to do, she was trying to set me up. She was smart. I'll give her that. Theo and I headed to the check out and went home to work Clint to death, and maybe just maybe mention running into officer Rogers again.

━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
You stepped up to the door of Karasuno’s gym, hearing the sound of squeaking shoes and hands slapping volleyballs. The sun was nearly set behind you, casting rays of orange and red across the earth. You were supposed to have arrived an hour earlier, but the train was delayed because a woman went into labor during the journey.
You slid the door open and stepped into the brightly lit gym where the volleyball team was practicing. ‘Hmm, looks like they just finished a three-on-three,’
Kiyoko, the team’s manager, was the first to notice you, tapping Daichi’s shoulder before pointing at you. He grinned when his brown eyes fell on you and he jogged over. “Y/N, you’re here! I was beginning to think you weren’t coming.”
“Sorry, Dai, there was an issue on the train and we got held up.”
He quirked a brow, resting his hand on his hip as he used his father tone. “Did you hurt someone again?”
You scoffed at the implication of his words. “That was one time, Dai, and the pervert deserved it for trying to feel up that middle school girl,”
“Yes, yes, a modern-day hero.” He teased. “And it happened at least three times that I’ve seen.”
Before you could respond to him, you suddenly saw a blur and felt a body slam into your own, arms wrapped around you and pinning your arms to your sides. “Y/N!!”
“Tanaka,” you grunted in annoyance. “Let me go before I punch you in the spleen.”
“Hah?!” His aura darkened and his arms tightened. “You think you can take me just ’cause you’re older? Let’s go! Here and now! I’ll bea -”
Daichi grabbed the back of the second-year’s shirt, yanking him off of you. “Knock it off!”
“Y/N started it!”
“Real mature,” you rolled your eyes, fixing the t-shirt you wore.
“What are you doing here, Y/N?” Suga questioned curiously, tilting his head to the side.
‘Ah, precious Suga. As adorable as ever,’ You offered him a shrug, nodding toward Daichi. “No idea. Ask your captain,”
By now, the rest of the team had gathered around, most of whom you recognized, but there were four faces you had never seen before and you assumed they were first-years. None of them really caught your attention as anything spectacular, but the tall blonde did stand out among them – he had to be six feet tall, easy.
“I was hoping you could lend the team a hand until we can find a coach,” Daichi confessed, rubbing the back of his neck.
“That seems pretty counter-productive considering I know nothing about volleyball,” you responded blankly.
“True,” he grinned. “But I could really use a hand keeping these guys in line.”
Now that had you intrigued. “With violence?” you grinned, a glint in your eyes.
Suga sweatdropped, patting your shoulder. “They can’t play in matches if you hurt them, Y/N…”
You clicked your tongue. “So I don’t break nothin’. Easy,”
“You missed the point…”
The orange-haired first year approached you like a curious animal, looking up at you with wide, brown eyes. His head tilted to the side like a cat. “Who are you?”
‘Damn, this guy is almost as short as Yuu,’ You hummed, leaning forward to flick his forehead. “Didn’t your mama ever teach you it’s rude to ask who someone is before introducing yourself first?”
He huffed, his cheeks expanding like a chipmunk. Was this kid the human embodiment of the animal kingdom? “Shouyou Hinata,”
“Good boy,” you ruffled his orange hair, chuckling when his cheeks darkened.
“I’m not a dog!”
“Meh. Humans, dogs. Same thing.”
“They’re not even close, Y/N…” Suga facepalmed.
Daichi ran his hand over his face, second-guessing his decision to ask you here. “You haven’t changed at all.” He shook his head, turning his attention to the four first-years. “Guys, this is Y/N. They graduated last year and they are a close family friend. I suggest not messing with them unless you have a death wish.”
As if to prove his point, you offered them a sadistic grin, your aura darkening. “If you’re a masochist, we’ll get along quite well!”
Three of the four stepped back with fearful expressions but the tall one kept his ground, golden eyes narrowed as he observed you. At first glance, he didn’t seem at all affected by your intimidating stance, but you didn’t miss the bead of sweat rolling down his cheek.
You hummed in amusement. ‘This guy has a pretty good poker face,’ “Well? Are the rest of you going to introduce yourselves? Or should I just call you thing 1, thing 2, and thing 3?”
The navy-haired boy stepped forward, a mixture of intimidation and annoyance swirling in his dark eyes. “Tobio Kageyama,”
You nodded your head in thanks, turning to the mousy brunette with freckles. His cheeks burned under your gaze and he quickly straightened his back, staring up at the ceiling. “Tadashi Yamaguchi, nice to meet you, senpai!”
“I’m not your senpai,” you stated blankly.
“Oh,” Tanaka suddenly started laughing, clutching his middle. “Right, you’re Y/N-san now, ain’t ya?!” He laughed harder as if he has just told the funniest joke in the history of mankind.
You rolled your eyes at the man-child before turning your attention to the blonde. “How ’bout you, beanpole?”
For a moment, he just stared at you with narrowed eyes. Whatever he was feeling, he was disciplined enough to keep the emotion from his face. And then he turned, walking away without a word.
Tanaka decided to feel offended for you and shot forward, only to be held back by Daichi. “You disrespectful lil shit, get back here!”
“Do you have to be so damn dramatic about everything?” you pinched the bridge of your nose. “If he wants to be an anti-social shit, let ’em. I don’t really care either way.”
His annoyed expression morphed into one of adoration as he clapped his hands together, nodding enthusiastically. “You’re so cool, Y/N-san!”
“Cut the -san, shit!” You snapped. ‘Christ, I forgot this guy changes emotions more than I change my damn underwear,’
“It’s time to clean up for the night, guys!” Takeda entered the gym with his typical goofy grin, which only widened when he saw you. “Y/N! It’s been so long, how are you doing?”
For the first time since you arrived on the school grounds, you offered the man a soft, genuine smile, something that surprised the first-years, one in particular. Since arriving, you had offered them only blank or aggressive expressions and, for some reason, seeing you make such a soft, kind expression took them all by surprise. Seeing your smile struck Tsukishima in a way he wasn’t used to and he paused to observe you, he felt his heart pick up speed.
A strange feeling was bubbling within his stomach and he couldn’t find a logical explanation for what it was. More than anything, he found himself feeling annoyed that you were being so kind and gentle with Takeda when he had gotten the opposite.
He did not like where this was going. Not one bit.
━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
You glared at the arm wrapped around your own, dragging you down the street at an ungodly hour. Since you lived in Tokyo, Tanaka had been kind enough to volunteer his house for you to stay in while you were assisting the team. His family didn’t even question it, they just accepted you with open arms and far too much hugging. Living with him also meant that he was there to make sure you were awake by four-thirty so he could drag you with him to the school for morning practice.
“Will you stop dragging your feet? We’re gonna be late!”
“The fuck you mean late? It’s barely five in the morning, bro.”
“Exactly! Daichi should be unlocking the gym any minute now!”
You groaned, turning your gaze to the sky, which was still dark since the sun hadn’t yet risen. “This is going to be a long day…”
He laughed loudly, scaring away a pair of birds that had been resting on the power lines above. When the two of you arrived, the captain and Suga were already there and working on setting up the net and bringing out the balls. Hinata and Kageyama arrived soon after, followed by the rest of the team.
While they started on their warmups, you let yourself fall against the stage, sliding down to the wooden floor with a tired grunt. Kiyoko sent you a concerned look but knew better than to bother you. For the next hour, everyone left you alone and you were able to block out the loud noises they were making, your eyes sliding closed. Mornings had never been your strong suit, and you had gotten into trouble on more than one occasion for showing up late to school. You were just beginning to doze off when a loud, sharp yell disturbed you.
“Watch out!”
And then you felt a sharp pain in your face, almost as if someone had just spiked a volleyball into it. The gym went deadly silent as the ball fell to the ground, bouncing a couple times before rolling away. Your nose burned, a thick stripe of blood leaking from your left nostril.
Suga was the first to react, rushing toward you with a concerned look painted on his face. “Y/N! Are you okay? You’re bleeding, come on I’ll take you to the nurse.”
You didn’t complain as he pulled you to your feet and out of the gym. The cold wind nipped at your skin as you headed across the walkway into the main building, Suga keeping a strong grip on your arm as if afraid you would fall over if he released you.
The nurse was the same young man that had been working there when you attended the school, a navy-haired man with eyes brighter than your future. He turned his attention to the two of you when you entered, quirking a brow.
“I knew you were gonna be held back,”
Your eye twitched, sending a wave of pain through your face. “I wasn’t held back, you jerk.”
He hummed as if he didn’t believe you. “Have a seat and tell me what happened. Another fight?”
“Y/N got hit in the face with a volleyball,” Suga explained with worry, helping you sit on the side of the stiff bed.
Despite trying to keep himself professional, he let out a short laugh. “Sorry, sorry. I just imagined you trying to do sports, ha!”
You rolled your eyes. “I wasn’t doing sports, I was trying to sleep.”
He sat down on the stool, rolling over to you with a grin. “That sounds right. Sugawara, you can head back, I’ll take good care of Y/N.”
Suga chewed on his bottom lip, torn between doing as he said and staying with you. “Is it broken?”
Kaze hummed again, sliding his hands into latex gloves before moving closer, his thumbs on either side of your nose. You winced at the sudden pressure. “Nope, not broken. They’ll be just fine.”
Suga released a relieved sigh, offering you a smile. “I’ll see you after class, Y/N.”
You sent him a mock salute, watching as he left the nurse’s office.
“Hold this cloth over your nose and tilt your head forward,” he ordered, handing you a piece of folded gauze.
“I thought it was backward,” you mumbled, placing the gauze over your nostrils.
“And this is why I’m the nurse and you’re not~ When you have a nosebleed, you shouldn’t hold your head back because blood can go down your throat and irritate your stomach, which may result in vomiting and more nose irritation.” He paused, seemingly proud of himself. “Look at that, you’re not even a student here anymore and I’m still slapping you with knowledge! I should be charging you.”
“Don’t count on it,” you responded, your words slightly muffled. It took about fifteen minutes for your nose to finally stop bleeding and ten more before Kaze would allow you to leave the office.
‘The hell am I supposed to do now?’ you wondered as you left the school building, heading for the vending machines near the gym. It would be weird if you just waited around for school to end, but you were too tired and annoyed to go anywhere else only to be dragged back to the gym once the school day ended.
You decided to settle down on a bench behind the gym, arms folded behind your head as you stretched out your body. The tree above you blocked most of the light from the sun, the shade making the breeze feel colder than it actually was, but you didn’t really mind. Your eyes slid closed and it wasn’t long before you were asleep.
━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
“Hey, wake up.”
Your body was shook lightly and you grunted, eyes blurry as they gazed up at the face hovering over you. It took a moment before you were able to focus on the face. “Ah, it’s the beanpole.”
He scowled at the nickname, straightening his body as you sat up on the bench, yawning loudly. His cheeks darkened as he took in your appearance and how adorable you looked after having just woken up.
“School over?” you questioned, rubbing at your eyes.
“Yeah. Sugawara-senpai is looking for you,”
“Mm, ‘course he is.” You pulled yourself to your feet, making a move to brush past him but his long, slender fingers curled around your upper arm to stop you. You paused, turning your body to better see him.
His brow was furrowed, lips parted but no sound escaped him.
“What?” you demanded. “Spit it out or let me go,”
“I’m sorry,” he said suddenly, his golden eyes far more interested in the dirt at your feet.
“For?”
The blonde’s pokerface was broken, making way for a guilty expression. His lips parted, closed, and then parted again. And then it clicked.
“You hit the ball,”
He nodded. “I didn’t mean to hit you… I’m sorry.”
The corner of your lips tugged up into a lopsided smirk. “You gonna make it up to me?”
His eyes narrowed suspiciously. “What do you want?”
“Not much,” you shrugged, eyes glinting. Even with your bruised nose, you were able to send a shiver of fear down his spine. “I’m thinking you can be my personal slave for a while,”
“No way!” He scowled.
“Fine then,” you shrugged, turning toward the direction of the gym. “I’ll just have to get you back, then. Watch your back, beanpole~”
With a groan, he jogged to catch up to you. “Kei Tsukishima,”
You quirked a brow. “That a curse or somethin’?”
“It’s my name, idiot.” He deadpanned.
You grinned, offering him your hand. He hesitated, his hand hovering in the air before finally resting against your own. Despite the coldness outside, your skin was warm against his, seeming to travel up his arm and into his cheeks. His heart started to race within his breast and he felt… nervous. Why did you make him feel this way?
Likewise, you felt a spark when your hands connected, warmth filling your body and settling on your chest like a small kitten looking for a place to sleep. You weren’t the most observant person in the world, but you hadn’t been out of school long enough to forget about how your classmates gushed about what falling in love felt like. Each one had something different to say about the experience, but there were always overlapping descriptors. What you were feeling now, like he was the most important person you had ever met, that you just wanted to wrap him in your arms and never let go… Were you falling for this bratty first year?
‘No no, that can’t be possible. We only just met,’ But you’d be lying if you said time didn’t stop as soon as his hand slid into your own. In that moment, nothing else mattered but the blonde boy in front of you. “Hey -”
“Y/N!” Suga rounded the corner and you quickly pulled your hand away, shoving it into your pocket. Tsukishima’s fell to his side limply, as if he wasn’t sure what to do with it. Suga smiled when he finally reached you, resting his hands on your upper arms. “How are you feeling? Did you get the okay from Kaze-san?”
“I’m fine, stop worrying so much, mother hen.” You flicked his forehead and he pouted.
Tsukishima’s lips formed a thin line as he watched the two of you joking around, the third-year’s hands still on your arms. He didn’t like it – the casual way he touched you, the caring way he looked at you, the smile you offered him, your tone teasing him. He wondered what it would be like to be in Suga’s position right now.
“Tsukishima?” Suga called, offering the blonde the same worried expression. “Y/N didn’t attack you, did they?”
“What kind of monster do you take me for?” You scoffed.
“…I’m not answering that.”
“Coward,”
He stuck his tongue out at you before turning back to the blonde, but he was already walking away toward the gym. You stared at his back as your feelings swirled around you uncertainly.
━━━━━━༻🌧️༺━━━━━━
Several days passed by, filled with fleeting glances between the two of you and a cacophony of unanswered questions. While you had been asked out several times during your time in high school, you had never been interested in dating or being in a relationship. And love? You would have said it didn’t exist if your classmates hadn’t been so adamant about finding it.
“Don’t worry, Hinata. Shake it off and keep going.” Daichi told the boy with an encouraging smile, once again taking on a more fatherly role.
You approached him as he stood beside the court, observing as the team took turns working on their receives. “Dai, can I talk to you for a minute?”
He looked at you in surprise before nodding, his fingers wrapping around your elbow as he led you from the building. You weren’t aware of the golden eyes following your form until they could no longer see you.
Once a safe distance away from the gym, he gave you his attention. He had always been close to you from the day the two of you had met, and he hadn’t missed how off you had been acting the last few days, but you were an introvert and kept to yourself unless it got serious. He knew it’d be a waste of time to ask you directly, so he waited until you came to him of your own accord, as you so often did.
“What happened?” he asked softly, folding hid arms across his chest.
You were quiet for a moment, eyes focusing on a small, grey bird that was hopping across the grass in search of food. “Is it possible to love someone you’ve just met?”
His eyes widened. He had prepared himself for a multitude of scenarios that could be the cause for your strange behavior as of late, but love? He never would have guessed that. It just wasn’t something you cared about. “Anything’s possible,” he commented, chuckling when you clicked your tongue, dissatisfied with the answer. “There’s a reason people talk about love at first sight. It’s definitely possible.”
“It wasn’t love at first sight though.” You muttered. “More like… love at first touch, I guess?”
“Hmm. And how did you feel when you touched?”
“Weird,” your brow furrowed as you recalled the moment and the emotions that had come along with it. “Warm, content. I wanted him to be mine.”
Daichi smiled warmly, resting his hands on your shoulders. “I never thought I’d see the day when you actually fell for someone. Who is he?”
You trusted Dai with your life, but you weren’t sure if you should tell him. It was his teammate, plus he was a first-year and you were no longer a high school student. There were only four years between you, but you knew people wouldn’t see it that way. You were now considered an adult, even though you hadn’t changed at all in the short amount of time you had been out of school.
“You can tell me,” he spoke softly, as if reading your mind. “I won’t judge you, you know that, Y/N.”
“Tsukishima,” you answered, meeting his gaze. His eyes remained warm, not showing any disgust or malice.
“Really? I didn’t think he was your type.”
“I don’t have a type,”
“Are you gonna tell him?”
“‘Course not,” you scoffed, turning your attention back to the bird. A crow had joined him in his search for food. Every time he managed to snatch a bug, he would bring it over to the smaller bird, nipping at his head before hopping away to continue the search. “It’s bad enough my first love is a first-year. Can you imagine getting rejected by one, too? Nah,”
“I think you’ll regret not taking a chance,”
“Maybe, but I’ll probably regret it more if I do.” You smiled softly at him, “Thank you, Dai, for always being here.”
“You’re family, Y/N. I’ve always got your back.” Daichi held his arms out and you chuckled, allowing yourself to fall into his arms. Like always, he seemed to make your worries disappear, if only for a few moments.
Tsukishima glanced out the door, just barely able to make out your form in the distance. He could only watch in frustration, hand clutching the door frame tightly as his captain held you to his chest.

[been playing around with this for a while, let me know what you guys think and what should happen in the next part! (i meant to post this last night but got baked and forgot lol i’m sorry)]
.:.
point place, wisconsin
february 17th, 1977
9:03 p.m.
location:
eric forman’s basement
.:.
you laughed as you passed steven the bowl, your whole body shaking. he grabbed the yellow glass piece, grinning as he shook his head at your uncontrollable laughter. he can’t remember exactly why you all were laughing, but at the hurt look on kelso’s face and the smug look on donna’s he could take a guess. you were sitting on his lap and hanging with the others out in forman’s basement, doing what you guys always did on nights like this.
“i feel so bubbly!” you exclaimed as you leaned off steven’s lap to take a sip from your soda, the glass bottle clicking against your rings. you stared at the dainty gold pieces on your hand- studying the way they shined in the dim light before the flavor of the orange soda caught your attention, the taste unbelievable as you felt the fizz in your mouth, almost downing the whole bottle. you probably would have if steven hadn’t nudged your back.
you grinned as you set the bottle down on the basements makeshift table, looking behind you towards steven before looking around the circle.
steven and you were sat in his usual lawn chair sprawled out, each other’s legs tangled with one another. nobody was sat in front of the tv this time as the weather hummed in the background. kelso was in the corner giggling his ass off at god knows what, about to fall off his seat while eric was sat with donna, the two pressed against each other on the couch. eric seemed to be singing along to floyd in the background while donna lit the bowl for him. your smile stayed on your face as you listened to the music, day dreaming for only a moment-
you almost jumped out of your skin when steven squeezed your hip, nodding his head towards eric who was attempting to pass the piece to you.
you grabbed the bowl and lighter from him in a rush, accidentally dropping the lighter on the floor. as you reached to grab it you slipped, almost sliding off of stevens lap. your eyes widened as you went to protect the glass piece, hoping you wouldn’t spill ashes and glass everywhere on kitty’s clean floor. you doubt she would notice if you cleaned it, but you’d still feel bad mussing it up.
steven grabbed you before you could fall, pulling you closer up against his chest while trying to steady you. “easy” he murmured in your ear, your face turning red.
“i’m sorry- i’m like really high right now and super clumsy” you stuttered in his lap, suddenly embarrassed. you almost always dropped or spilled something when you were high, your limbs just got too heavy to manage. same with your voice—it felt like your tongue would get in the way when you spoke, syllables becoming one as letters were dropped or mangled.
he shook his head with a smirk and got the lighter off the floor while plucking the bowl out of your hands and holding it, motioning for you to move your head down.
“i’ll light it for you” he explained, flicking the lighter. you leaned down slightly and looked at him through your lashes, inhaling when you heard the tell-tale flick. you winced at the bright light of the flame burned your eyes before they adjusted, the smell of butane covering your senses. your eyes closed as you felt the hot smoke curl around your throat, pulling away when steven uncovered the carb.
you exhaled away from stevens face, watching him as he lit the bowl for himself. you swayed slightly to the guitar solo in the background, the music seeming to be wrapping around you as you enjoyed your high.
steven joined you, shifting closer to you before he inhaled, now making eye contact with you. his eyes twinkled in the dim light you noticed, brighter than any of the stones on your rings had. just the fact that you could even see him without the classic tinted shades was a treat.
you carded your fingers through his hair as he pulled away, inhaling any smoke that tried to escape from his lips.
he paused before grabbing for your face softly, his lips tight against yours for a second before he opened his mouth. you got the hint and did the same, inhaling the smoke that was in his mouth.
you blew the smoke out as you pulled away, he was already passing it back unto kelso.
kelso waved the bowl away laughing.
“i’m good, i’m about to leave and don’t want red or someone to smell me.” he laughed, passing it to donna who shrugged and took it. kelso fidgeted in his chair before you turned to him, confused.
“where are you going?” you asked slowly, more focused on the records playing in the background than the conversation. the smile on kelso’s face only grew as he looked around the room.
“your mom’s room!” he yelled, pointing at eric before yelling his signature “burn!”
donna smacked him since eric was busy with the pipe, you and hyde both threw matches and cards at him.
he gasped before ducking behind his chair. “truce! that was my eye!” he whined as steven managed to get a bottle cap past his barricade.
steven threw a final card before he motioned you to get up, wiping his hands on his pants.
“i’m gonna hit the bathroom and then we should get something to eat, i’m starving” he announced, directing the statement at the group but only looking at you. you were terrible at paying attention when you were baked, steven learned the hard way after you not listening one too many times.
you nodded as you plopped down on the chair where he was before, finishing off the bowl.
eric and donna whispered to each other before agreeing to going too, kelso just wanted to go for the ride.
“then it’s settled” he yawned before patting your head, trekking up the basement stairs.
“i’m gonna follow him—i’ll tell my mom we’re leaving” eric yawned, leaving donna on the couch while kelso played with the tv knobs.
donna and you both caught each other’s eyes as he stomped up the stairs; donna got up and started to clean up, dumping the ashes and spraying fabreeze while you lit some incense.
you stretched as you got off the lawn chair, groaning as your muscles tensed. you snagged a water off the table, chugging it as quickly as you could (you had some major cotton mouth). you shook your head as you got your bearings, time seeming to be moving slower every second. you shivered and looked around before going to stevens room and snatching his jacket off his cot bed.
his room is one of your favorite places, besides your bed and the hub. his room was small and always messy—almost the exact opposite of your room. he tried to fit everything he found into the closet sized area, and it showed. just on his bed alone besides his signature jacket lie a video camera, a couple rolls of film, two vinyl records and one of your shirts you left on his floor from the last time you came over. it was endearing, but annoying when you were looking for something specific.
you zipped up the familiar smell around you of cheap cologne, weed, and mint before grabbing your wallet off his dresser and heading back into the main room, steven and eric already back from the bathroom.
“where we going and who’s driving?” you asked, leaning on steven. everybody seemed to speak at once, ideas coming from every direction.
“we could go to the hub?” donna suggested, but hyde shook his head.
“too far away”
eric looked up, tilting his head “what about that new chicken place?”
“i don’t have that type of money” you snorted, looking up at hyde.
“i really want some ice cream” kelso sighed, messing with some random crap that was on the table.
“i could go for a burger” you responded, snapping your fingers. “what about fatso burger?”
“that could work, it’s like 2 miles away and closes at 11” donna provided, looking at kelso while he pouted “and they have milk shakes”
you thought he murmured a complaint and was proven right when donna smacked him upside his head. he gasped, clutching his head before backing away.
everyone shuffled around the room, getting their coats and shoes on as eric looked for his keys. after none of you could find the keys after looking for ten minutes, you guys decided that nobody should be driving, so you all slipped out the basement door as eric locked it behind himself.
the night was cool as the five of you walked down the street, singing along to the songs you guys had heard on the radio earlier. you bobbed your head as eric played the air guitar and kelso attempted to dance. steven ended up lighting a joint he found in his pocket on the way, passing it back and forth with donna as they walked behind the rest of you.
while you and steven have been going steady for a couple months now, her and eric were just now getting into their relationship, god knows where jackie and kelso are in theirs. you could hear their conversation, hyde giving donna advice for eric, their voices a low hum in the back of your thoughts.
you looked at the night sky, the chilly winter air whipping your hair in your face. thank god it wasn’t snowing this week, you needed a break from the cold. you didn’t get to spend as much time as usual when the winter storm would hit and honestly- it sucked. you hardly got the chance anymore to look at the night sky like you used to, talking to the moon as you counted the stars in the sky. you didn’t get too far along before a lit joint obstructed your view, hyde silently asking if you wanted to hit it.
you stared at the view for a moment, entranced by the red glow of the cherry and the white glow of the moon. you plucked the joint out of his hand, taking a deep drag. you loved and lived joints, it was your favorite way to smoke. you knew hyde was thinking this as you slowly inhaled, your eyes slightly lowering as your cheeks hollowed.
you blew a smoke ring into the still night air before blowing the rest in his face, smirking.
hyde began to open his mouth to respond before he got cut off by kelso, who yelled loud enough to let everybody in point place know they finally made it to fatso burger.

---
You walked out of your doctor’s office with a prescription for ibuprofen and an even worse headache than when you had checked in with the receptionist. The slip of paper in your hand felt like a slap in the face--your doctor clearly hadn’t heard you when you told him about already taking ibuprofen and constantly pressing heating pads to your abdomen, trying to do yoga despite the pain radiating down your legs, and doubling over when the really bad cramps hit out of nowhere.
In your car you crumpled the paper and shoved it into the glove department, trying to ignore the sensation of a massive needle driving into your pelvis, and turned up the radio in an effort to distract you from the pain. You had to go back to campus--two more classes left in the day--and you felt awful. You grabbed your own bottle of ibuprofen from your bag and popped two of them. You didn’t want to over-do it but your whole body was aching incessantly.
Walking from your car to the atrium of the school was a little bit of relief for your body, although cramps were still radiating dully in your abdomen and your knees were aching, spurred by the cold air of November. You just wanted to get through the semester.
No--you just wanted to get through the day.
Danny was already waiting for you at a small table by the cafe, tucked back near the hall leading to the technology department, with two coffees in front of him. You smiled when you saw him and after a moment he caught your glance, smiling back at you, and gestured to the empty chair in front of him.
“I put some milk in it,” he told you, sliding the coffee across the table as you sat down. “I forgot if you took it with anything else.”
“You got it right,” you assured him. “Thank you so much. I’ll get you back.”
“Don’t worry about it. How was your appointment?”
You sighed. “A waste of time. I should’ve saved myself the gas--he just wrote me a prescription for ibuprofen.” You unzipped your bag and fumbled around, retrieving the bottle and placing it on the table. “As if I don’t already pop enough of those.”
Danny laughed a little. He didn’t mind talking about this stuff with you, in fact he asked you about how you were doing all the time. You two had been close for years but when things started to get really rough for you, he was the first one to ask what you needed.
“Did he say what might be wrong?” he asked.
“No, he really didn’t know,” you said cautiously. “Not that he was super thorough. I have to go see my gynecologist next week.”
You were pretty sure you knew what was wrong. As all the symptoms had progressed, you had researched more and more and all of it had repeatedly led you to the same answer: endometriosis, something you’d never even heard of until your symptoms screamed at you to find an answer. Even your gynecologist had never brought it up before, not even with your lamenting about all the pain radiating through your body and the horrible periods, each month somehow worse than the last.
When you read the sentence “endometriosis often gets steadily worse” you had wanted to collapse onto the floor and give up entirely. So what was the point of all the doctor’s visits anyway, if it would only become more awful? What could anyone do?
Still, you knew you had to find something, anything, to make it better.
Danny looked at you sympathetically. “Cramps?”
“And that’s just the beginning,” you replied, managing a laugh. “But it’s okay--one day at a time, right?” Sitting down had exacerbated your abdominal pain and you shifted in the chair, trying to keep your knees from aching too much, the pain in your lower back getting worse too.
“At least you have Dr. Bisson to distract you,” Danny joked. “I’m sure her hijinks will make you forget all about it.”
You laughed again. “Oh, definitely. But how are you? Did you finish that music theory paper?”
“Yeah, finally. I was searching through the library database forever,” Danny told you.
“When will universities learn that Wikipedia is a reputable source?”
He chuckled. “Seriously.” He looked at his phone. “We should probably go. Did you still wanna see a movie later?”
“Yeah, definitely.” You stood up and Danny followed, giving you a quick hug. “I’ll see you later.”
Danny smiled. “Have fun with Dr. Bisson, honestly,” he said as he started to walk away, slowly turning away from you.
You thought the pain was bad before but, as soon as Danny was out of your sight, it seemed to get worse. You resisted the urge to double over in the middle of the atrium, but you did have to make a conscious effort to take deep breaths as you walked to class. You were so frustrated with everything--it had been months of doctors visits and going through bottles of over-the-counter pain relievers, herbal teas, oils, ice packs, heating pads and whatever other “solutions” Google gave you. You just wanted something. One thing to alleviate all the pain and anguish.
Your busy day had taken a toll on your already weak physical condition. You were home, lying on the couch with another heating pad on your abdomen, and a glass of mostly-untouched water on the table next to you. You wanted to go to the movies with Danny--even Sam said he would join--but you didn’t even feel able to get up and drive there, let alone sit in one of the seats, as comfortable as they were for other people. You knew you wouldn’t enjoy yourself. With an uncomfortable sigh, you unlocked your phone to text Danny:
I’m not feeling very well, I’m gonna have to pass on the movie.
Almost instantly he responded: What’s wrong?
Same as earlier. Except worse lol.
I’m so sorry. I don’t wanna see the movie without you though--want me to come over?
You paused. Of course you wanted Danny to come over--he was the best friend someone could ever have. The fact that he even offered was enough to make you melt, especially in your vulnerable state. But you didn’t want to dampen his night.
You should still go with Sam
Haha Sam bailed!
You sighed again. You don’t have to. But that would be really nice.
I want to. I’ll be there soon okay, doll?
You’re the best <3
When Danny got to you, he presented a full grocery bag, setting it down on the couch, him sitting on the far end next to it. You sat up and peeked inside. “What’d you bring?”
“Uh, well, a bunch of things,” he told you and pulled a DVD out of the bag. “The Breakfast Club. I didn’t buy it though, I’m borrowing it from my sister.”
You laughed a little. “Good choice.”
He removed a bottle of magnesium supplements. “I read that this can help with pain. I don’t know if you’ve already tried it though.”
You were already blown away by the deep level of caring Danny had. He’d actually taken time to look up what might help you--more than even some of your doctors had done. “I haven’t.”
He handed you three different chocolate bars. “I know it’s not actual medicine. But chocolate can solve a lot, you know?”
“I think so,” you agreed, smiling. “You even got me dark chocolate.”
Danny smiled proudly. “I remembered.”
You opened the bag more, peering into it, a seemingly endless plethora of gifts. “Danny, you got too much,” you said, pulling out a bottle of ginger ale and then a bottle of iced green tea.
“Just enough, I think,” he replied, still looking very proud of himself.
You leaned across the couch, the bag crinkling under you, and hugged him. “You’re seriously the best, Danny.” He wrapped his arms around you and his warmth and sturdiness felt so nice, so comforting, so much so that you struggled to make yourself pull back.
He got up and knelt in front of the TV, putting the DVD into the player. “Anything for you, doll. You’ve done plenty for me over the years.”
You smiled, then winced--a sharp, stabbing pain returning to your abdomen. You exhaled and leaned back into the cushions, pressing the heating pad over yourself again. You would much rather be out with Danny, having a good time like everyone else. You hated that he had to see you curled up and in pain, hated that he had to spend his evening with you in a state like that.
As he sat back down you opened the bottle of ginger ale and the magnesium and swallowed one--you were still willing to give just about anything a shot.  Danny set the bag on the floor in front of the two of you and scooched in close, resting his arm around your shoulders. You immediately felt a little better and shifted so you were lying on your side with your head in his lap. He lowered his arm and smoothed your hair back from your face gently, his fingertips lightly grazing your temples and scalp. You loved the sensation. It was the first time you had felt relaxed at all in days and, for once, you felt like you could fall asleep right there in his lap.
Another searing shot of hot pain, rushing from your abdomen into your hips, hit you. You groaned quietly and sat up, backing yourself into the cushions. You pressed the heating pad against you tighter and exhaled.
“You okay, Y/N?” Danny asked, looking at you a little uneasily, one eyebrow slightly raised.
“I’m sorry. Sometimes it hits really hard and I just have to breathe through it. Like labor,” you said, laughing a little. What else could you do?
“I’m really sorry,” Danny said, and you could tell he meant it. You could see that he wished there was more he could do, although the care he was already giving you was a little overwhelming, mostly because you wished he didn’t have to care that much. You two had been through a lot together, but you still couldn’t imagine him hearing about your messed up uterus was at all entertaining. “Do you need something? Ice?”
The pain subsided a little, allowing you to relax back into the couch, curling back up and resting your head in his lap again. “I’m good. I’m going to break into that chocolate soon,” you told him. “When the cramps die down a bit more.”
Danny resumed stroking your hair. You still couldn’t concentrate on the movie much, as badly as you wanted to. The pain had dulled but it was still heavy in your abdomen and radiating down your legs, making everything feel sore; your lower back was aching so deeply it felt like a rake was being dragged down the muscle; not to mention all the bleeding. But that was a conversation you’d save Danny from.
Another sharp wave of pain rippled through you and you groaned a little, turning your head and pressing your cheek against Danny’s knee. He slowed his fingers in your hair and then rested his hand on your shoulder. You thought that within the tense silence he would ask how you were again, but he didn’t--he gently rubbed your shoulder instead, running his palm down your shoulder blade and back up again, his fingers grazing your collarbone.
You were grateful that he replaced the same futile question with his soothing touch. It really did help, although his kindness exacerbated your already heightened emotions. You felt yourself about to cry and the physical pain suddenly got worse, causing you to break down.
You sniffled against his leg, trying not to let out all the tears, which made it worse. Trying to withhold your sobs only made the rising and falling of your chest more intense, and his hand paused on your shoulder blade. You just wanted the pain to stop. Even for an hour. You would gladly take an hour. It was just endless.
“I’m sorry, Danny,” you said unsteadily. You could tell he wasn’t sure what to say, and you couldn’t blame him. “This sucks. For both of us.”
He laughed quietly and you appreciated that he went along with the little bit of humor you could manage. “I feel really bad, Y/N,” he said. “I wish I could help.”
You sat up, wiping the leftover tears away with your sleeve. “You are helping. More than those doctors. More than anyone.”
He smiled a little.
You exhaled, both from being exhausted by your tormented emotions and the cramps. “I’m pretty sure I know what it is. Endometriosis,” you said and, before Danny could ask, you continued. “Which is like, extra tissue growing outside the uterus. That’s the simplest way to put it.”
“It sounds rough already.”
You managed a laugh. “Yeah. Well, it gets worse--literally,” you said and, as you did, you felt yourself starting to tear up again. “It literally gets worse with time. I might not even be able to have kids.”
Danny’s face mellowed even more, his dark eyebrows relaxing and his eyes soft. “I’m so sorry, Y/N.”
“I mean, I don’t even know if I want that, ever,” you went on, fighting back the tears. “But not even having the option?”
Danny nodded sympathetically. “Do you think your gynecologist will know more?”
“I don’t know. I hope so. She never mentioned it before but--I don’t see what else it could be. Other than cancer,” you added, laughing.
“Don’t say that,” Danny replied, though he laughed too.
“I’m kidding. I just need something to help,” you said with a sigh. “But this helps a lot. It really does.”
Danny enveloped you in his arms, holding you tight against his chest. “I’m glad. You know I’ll always be here.”
You sighed again, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and resting your head under his chin. “Thank you.” You wanted to stay in his arms forever, or at least until all the pain went away. Danny’s gentleness toward you was one of the best remedies, as was his strong, warm body against yours. You felt like everything would be okay.
He ran his fingers through your hair as his other hand rubbed your back. “You know I’m gonna ask again--do you need anything?”
You chuckled against his neck, the scent of his hair washing over you. “I’m okay,” you told him and, for the first time in a while, you felt like it was true. “Just as long as you join me in eating all of that chocolate.”
“Oh, absolutely.”
You broke your embrace and reached down into the bag to take out the chocolate bars. Danny settled back beside you; you leaned against him, retrieving the heating pad and laying it against your abdomen, then unwrapped the first bar to break it in half, handing one to him. He laid his arm over your shoulder and you melted back into him, resting your head against his chest. It was definitely everything that was helping--the little bit of caffeine in the chocolate; the heating pad; the ginger ale; maybe even the magnesium--but ultimately, Danny was the one thing that helped alleviate the pain.

Eye of the Tiger - Part 15 - Dantana
I will try to continue to update as regularly as possible, but my girlfriend just moved in with me so as expected a lot of my attention will go to her lol I'm super excited though and I'm still excited for this story. I have everything outlined so I WILL finish! Just bare with me lol
As always you can read the previous parts here: https://wordsofdemetria.tumblr.com/tagged/eye-of-the-tiger
Dani POV
"God, I've missed you..." I breathed out as Santana's lips made their way down my neck. We were now in her car because the hour of tension between us while I finished up was just too unbearable apparently. She responded with roaming hands until finally pulling my thigh to swing over her until I was straddling her. I feel like we actually need to talk more about things but after a week apart this was too hard to resist. But we really should talk. "San..."
"Hm...?" She mumbled against my neck and the vibrating hum made my eyes roll back. Fuck. Focus Dani.
"I-I think we should really talk properly. Now that we have the time..." She obviously wasn't listening and I felt my frustration start to build until her lips made it to the curve of my neck. What was I saying? My hands curled into her hair as I felt a bruise form under her lips right in my sweet spot. It didn't matter anymore if she left a mark and honestly it felt good to not give a fuck. "Fuck..."
Her hands teased the hem of my pants for a while but I think I forgot how to breathe when they finally crossed the threshold to my skin underneath. She finished her mark and was back to attacking my lips and I've completely melted into her touch. Her hands made the familiar path down to my core and all the anticipation had me dripping wet. But of course it wasn't that easy.
"Santanaaaa..." I whined and she just chuckled as he hand rested on my bundle of nerves but didn't move. I try to grind against her hand to get the friction but she removed it completely.
"Patience, D." She smirked. This bitch. I only kissed her again, harder, hoping to work her back up to the point where she gives me what I need. It worked. I felt my entire body go weak at the circles her fingers were making. "Damn you're soaked, baby."
"Please...I need you." I was surprised she heard me with how quiet I breathed that out but she happily obliged dipping her fingers in me and bringing me to my release. When she finished she brought her fingers to her mouth like always so I can taste myself in her kisses.
We were quiet for a while, we just stared at each other, admiring being this close to one another. I felt weak, but I also felt light and free and...happy. For the first time in a week I felt completely relaxed and I don't think Santana was expecting me to collapse into her with a hug. I've needed it so badly. As great as Rachel was, hers weren't enough. I felt her arms tighten around me with the same need as me.
"I really missed you Santana." I whispered into her hair.
"I missed you too babe. I don't want to fight anymore, even though you're really sexy when you're angry." She chuckled. I smiled back and just hugged her tighter. It was as if she couldn't get close enough to me. I needed her.
"Hey, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" I honestly didn't even realize I was crying until she was wiping the tears from my face.
"I-I don't know." I answer honestly. I didn't know what I was feeling. I was happy she was here but I was sad at the reality that existed outside of this car.
"Maybe we should go somewhere to talk. I'm sorry I should have listened when you said it earlier I shouldn't have ignored you." She was doing that cute nervous ramble thing she does and I can't help but chuckle at it. I give her a reassuring kiss before sliding off her lap and cuddling to her side.
"You're cute when you're nervous." I felt her relax at that and she slipped her arm around me. "And I enjoyed it babe, don't ever apologize for that."
"Then what's wrong?" What was wrong? Where do I start?
"A lot of things." I wanted to tell her everything but for some reason I was having a hard time saying any of it.
"Don't shut me out Dani." She said a bit frustrated and that hit me.
"You had no problem shutting me out." I snap. I know we both made mistakes but I tried and she was just so mean at school. Another side of her came out and I hated it. I missed this Santana.
"I'm sorry...I'm really sorry Dani. I'm here now." I sat up to look at her, I could see it in her eyes that she meant it but I was still scared. She is going to change at school she always does.
"But how do I know you'll stay?" I saw the hurt in her eyes when I said this but she thought about it carefully.
"I guess you'll have to trust me. If you don't, I get it and I'll make sure that I prove to you that I'm not going anywhere." I wasn't completely satisfied but I knew it was the best she could give me in this moment. It was about building that trust back and I couldn't let this be one sided. I don't trust easily and I've never opened up easily but with Santana it was always easy.
"M-My dad kicked me out that night. I've been staying at Rachel's." And I let it all spill out. I let all my tears spill out and all my feelings spill out. Everything that has built up in the past week has poured out of me and Santana took it all in. She listened to every word and wiped every tear. I trusted her in this moment, but will it stay? Will she stay?
Santana POV
It was good to see Dani back in school. I missed seeing her face every day. It was her first day back and as glad as I was to see her I was also really nervous. I promised her I was going to be here for her. That wasn't the hard part, it was embracing that in front of the whole school that was. I didn't want to see her hurt anymore and I wasn't going to let it happen. She caught my stare from down the hall and she smirked at me, biting down on her bottom lip. She's such a tease. I felt my phone go off in my hands.
Half pint: you know it's rude to stare ;)
Poms poms: can't help that my girlfriend is so hot
I see her roll her eyes at my response. I mean I could literally just walk down the hall to her but with us already eye fucking each other it might be dangerous. I wait anxiously for Dani's response as her fingers quickly push down on the phone. Suddenly, she same asshole from earlier this week shoves Dani's shoulder hard from behind, causing her phone to fly forward. Oh hell fucking no.
Dani POV
"Are you always this big of an asswipe?" Barely an hour into the day and I already hate everything. Right when I went to pick up my phone he just kicked it further away from me and laughed.
"Are you always this big of a bitch?" He spat back at me. I really just wanted to cry to be honest. I was so fucking over this.
"Fucking apologize right now!" I flinch as I heard his body slam against the lockers but my jaw actually dropped in shock when I looked to see Santana holding him up against them.
"That's cute, dykes sticking together." He chuckled but chocked when Santana pressed her arm hard against his throat.
"Listen here asshole. You can spit out all the fucking words possible to call us gay but I know it's just because you're pressed that your dick doesn't get as much pussy as we do. So back the fuck off of my girl or I WILL go all Lima Heights on your ass." She dropped him after that and simply bent down to pick up my phone to hand it to me. There isn't a lot of things that can shut me up but I was literally speechless right now. I'm also oddly turned on? I think I just saw the infamous Snix and I think I kind of like her. I felt my heartbeat pick up with her oh so familiar hand intertwined into mine and every single set of eyes in the hall was on us. "Come on babe lets get you to class."
I still couldn't form words to what was happening right now but I felt all the blood rush to my cheeks as Santana and I walked down the hallway hand in hand. I knew what she was doing. She was proving to me that I can trust her. I squeeze her hand tighter. Everything was going to be okay.
