Ben’s Big BL Blurb 2: Fall is Finally Here
I am simply too busy with worth, family, other hobbies, and life to write about every show in real time anymore. I’m sorry to all the Stray Thoughts readers who’ve reached out about whether I would pick that back up, and I simply just do not have the time to do them anymore. Instead, I’ll try to do one of these as often as I can to catch up on things.
First, let’s go over some shows I finished recently that I don’t think I wrote much about.
First Note of Love
Tumblr media
I was so happy to see Michael back on screen, and I was glad to see that he’s still able to get great chemistry with his co-star. Unfortunately, I don’t think this show was very coherent, so I didn’t get a lot out of it emotionally. It was a pretty inoffensive watch overall, and thus an easy show to put on without having to work through too much. I liked the work between everyone, and Mei Lei was such a fun character. Probably won’t return to this one, though.
Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo
Tumblr media
This is probably the show of the year for me. There’s so much I loved about this show. I loved that the characters had sex, but were neither rewarded nor punished for it; their sex didn’t solve any problems. I also really love how this show explored how childhood trauma expresses in two different kinds of boys, and I love that we got to see a bully reckon with his actions and get closure. I love that this show ended with them being kinda poor, but happy together. I love how messed up they both were about everything. I loved that Juyeong wasn’t stupid, and could read what was going on.
I clearly need to write a separate post to unpack everything I felt in this show.
Let’s move on to what I’m watching currently, in no particular order…starting with the lesbians, and then the worst BLs.
Apple My Love
Tumblr media
Genuinely having fun with this GL. I like how quickly most of the drama plays out. It’s giving me quite a bit of secondhand embarrassment, but I like the characterizations in this show. This new production house brought us Knock Knock, Boys! and Monster Next Door this year. We need to keep an eyes on them.
Haunted Hearts
I’m so fascinated by Oxin Films teaming up with Regal Entertainment. The leads are very attractive, but the cinematography is really boring. I’m trying to stay invested, but it’s kind of a sleepy watch. Also amused that they started airing a ghost romance right after Halloween ended. I’ve kind of moved on emotionally from the season.
My Damn Business
Tumblr media
This show could be good, but it’s not. I struggled with episode 5 because our lead looked more relaxed and happier with his senior than the guy he’s getting into a romance with. There’s something missing here in this one, but I can’t exactly put my finger on it. I think it’s primarily a side effect of the short run time, but I think the boss’s interest isn’t landing properly for the employee to respond to.
Eccentric Romance
Tumblr media
This show could be good, but it’s not. Still, I am obsessed with a murder mystery being the primary source of confusion between our leads. I was willing to forgive this show a lot of its rough edges, but it failed to handle the turn from friendship to sexual/romance really well. I feel like our guys just started dating and having sex, and I’m a bit frustrated that they didn’t talk about it really at all, particularly since this show features two different languages spoken on screen. Genuinely looking forward to seeing how this one finishes.
See Your Love
Tumblr media
I’m not sure this show is exactly working that well, but everyone is very pretty and I’m having a decent time watching it. I like the way Shao Peng stands up for himself, and I like that nothing that’s happened has been totally unbelievable or unreasonable (at least with the mains). I’ll be curious how the hard of hearing and deaf viewers respond to this one once it’s complete.
Love is Like a Poison
Tumblr media
This show is actually so funny. I love that Shiba is in his own lawyer genre separate from everyone else, and I really like how the two of these guys have become a team. I’m curious how they manage to resolve the scamming next week, but this has been the most unexpected dynamic of the year.
Love in the Air: Koi no Yukon
Tumblr media
MAME won this year, y’all. We all have complicated feelings about her, but she’s secured a loving adaptation from a Japanese team that’s put solid effort into bringing her characters to life. Every character feels correct compared to their Thai counterpart we saw on screen, and that’s a strong sign that the writing behind MAME’s work is strong, even if we all have issues with the way she tackles certain themes. I’m really impressed with this adaptation, and really like this version of Rain.I also feel like this show is doing a better job blending the forthcoming couple focus shift.
Our Youth
Tumblr media
We just got this show, but damn does it feel sharp! I’m always going to be a sucker for a cinephile character, and I’m so compelled by the way Minase is drawn to Hirukawa. The scene in episode 2 where Minase has to leave Hirukawa’s house might be one of the most impressive sequences we’ve had in a while, requiring a great deal of choreography and effort from the actors and the camera crew to pull off, and I’m excited to see how these characters split and then come back together.
Smells Like Green Spirit
Tumblr media
Let me just say that I need another Abe Alan appearance when he isn’t playing a character doing horrible things to his students. I’ve enjoyed meditating on the 90s with this show and what that era felt like. I’ve liked how the show has tried to focus on how different parents (especially the moms) have responded to their kids coming to terms with themselves. I’ve also really enjoyed the friendship that’s grown between Mishima and Kirino. I’m struggling with Yumeno a lot, because I’m really not a friend of bully romances. Still, I feel like this is one of those shows I’ll remember for a long time because of its focus on the 90s.
Blue Canvas of Youthful Days
Tumblr media
I think @lurkingshan covered reactions to episode 5 and episode 6 better than I could, and I loved @twig-tea giving context for the film history moment in episode 6. I remember screaming into the chat for friends to show up for this when I got to that moment. This show has two great pairs of dynamics going on that mirror well. It’s got such a strong handle on its characters’ motivations and how they would respond to the actions from each other. It’s probably the tightest thing I’m watching now, backed by extremely dialed-in performances. I will be thinking about Qi Lu organizing his potential first kiss with Qin Xiao, and how unapologetic he’s been about the entire affair. He’s being selfish here, but I kinda like it. I’m so thankful that we are somehow still getting this show, because goddamn do the Chinese actors deliver on chemistry sometimes.
Interview With the Vampire Season 2
Tumblr media
I finished this with a friend last week, and holy fuck is this show still so, so good. We watch a lot of gay romance because of BL, and I am having so much fun watching the show about gay divorce. I loved the time we spent in Paris, Daniel’s shifting role in the narrative, and the new insights we got into Lestat this season. I will miss Claudia so much, and I have to give a standing ovation to Delainey Hayles stepping into the role of Claudia and doing the damn thing this season. I just love seeing my little fucked up gay people torment each other on screen.
I'm still thinking about Louis and Lestat reuniting in a hurricane after Claudia derided this as yet another chapter in their stormy romance.
Dropped Shows
Unfortunately, everyone can’t win. Some of these shows are just too long for me to keep up with them, and oftentimes I get bored. I’ve currently dropped:
Lovesick 2024 - I may go back. We’ll see
Jack & Joker - It’s just too long, and they just killed Jennie and a kid. I’m good.
Fourever You - I’m bored with Earth always playing this character type.
Pluto - Namtam and Film are beautiful, but this looks too messy right now.
Every You, Every Me - Wasn’t intrigued after episode 1, but the commentary may draw me back.
Kidnap - Ohm is not enough to keep me invested in this show.
Uncle Unknown - How did they make a 6 minute show feel slow?
I’m genuinely not trying to be harsh to Thai shows out here, but I just do not have the time to keep up with all of them when they’re this long and dragging.
Thanks for stopping by, and let me know if there’s something I missed that I should check out.

💙 A Trikey Lookbook 🧡
Here’s a collection of some fun Trikey stuff. I forgot Tumblr has a 10 image limit, so I had to combine some images, and there’s definitely going to be a part 2 and possibly part 3 because I have so many things in my gallery.
Warnings: Talk of violence but nothing too graphic, rude comments over weight, explicit language, sexual innuendos and but no actual smut.
Tumblr media
Michael watches with a disapproving look as Trevor hangs up newspaper articles and images of their various dealings across town.
“T, do you have to hang it like it’s fuckin’ artwork?” Michael huffs, pointing at the paper on the upper left. “I feel like I’m comin’ too close to landing my ass in jail. That Lawrence guy named me for Christ’s sake — and it’s your fault!”
Trevor smirks. “Ah, come on, Mikey! It slipped out. Whats the big deal? We’ll be in a new town tomorrow.”
“The big deal is that I prefer not to have my name plastered on the evening news!”
“Relax,” Trevor rubs his hand up and down Michael’s tricep. “Wear it like a badge of honor. Your name is in the paper, and those idiots still have no idea who you are. You’re a fuckin’ legend!”
At that, Michael finally cracks a smile. “Yeah, I guess.”
“And you’re hot, too,” Trevor says while taping up the sticky note next to Michael’s picture, his smirk growing as he listens to the shorter man laugh beside him.
“Now that I knew already.”
“Don’t get cocky.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overplayed Christmas songs and the faint smell of gingerbread fill the house. Michael can barley make out the sound of Amanda griping to her father over his questions about her chosen profession and when she was going to “grow up.”
He knows he should be out there pretending to enjoy the family bickering and Christmas cheer, but he honestly feels like a fish out of water.
The family, the gift wrapping, the normalcy — it’s certainly better than any holiday he spent during his youth. Still, he can’t help but compare it to every year with his maniacal counterpart, Trevor.
“Mikey-boy, got those beers you were wanting,” Trevor says, dropping the six pack on to the motel bed. “I better be rewarded. It was hell out there.”
Michael glances over from his spot on the bed, his eyes immediately drawn to Trevor’s once-clean outfit that has now become disheveled and stained with dark red within the short time the man was gone. “The fuck happened?”
“This fucking family,” Trevor starts while stripping from his clothes, not bothering to warn Mike since it’s nothing he hasn’t seen before. “All I did was tell the father to watch his fucking kids before they get hit by oncoming traffic.”
Michael, knowing there’s way more to the story than his partner in crime is telling him, shoots him a look. “Jesus Christ. Did you kill him in front of his kids?”
“What? No! God, M. Who do you think I am? I killed the kids first obviously since he clearly didn’t give a shit about them,” Trevor shrugs, pulling on a fresh pair of sweatpants.
Seeing Michael’s face pale, Trevor quickly continues. “I’m kidding! Sweet Jesus. I hit a deer, so I gutted him a little for meat. You’re welcome.”
Michael sighs softly, relieved that Trevor hasn’t done anything to prematurely set off alarm bells to local authorities for their next score. “Sorry, T. Just on edge, I think.”
“Come on,” Trevor grabs the beer pack and pulls Michael up by his hand, leading him over to their portable oven. “Let’s bake some cookies, probably ruin them since that’s our tradition, and then just watch one of those fruity fuckin’ movies you like.”
A knock on the door brings Michael out of his flashback, and a few seconds later, Amanda‘s head pops through the door, followed by her hands holding two decorated Christmas cookies.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Amanda asks, gesturing to the letter beneath his hand.
“Nothing, nothing,” He stands up, dropping the marker, vowing to finish the letter later and send it out in the morning. “I’m coming.”
He grabs the sugar cookie out of her hand and takes a bite as he follows her back into the living room. Somehow, the golden brown cookie with a soft center and a delicate balance of sweetness is no match for the dry and crumbly cookie sporting burnt edges and artificial flavors that he’s used to tasting every year with Trevor.
God, he misses him.
Tumblr media
“How the hell did you even get into my office without security stopping you?”
Trevor looks up from his office chair at the Vanilla Unicorn to see Michael standing over him. “What?”
“This,” Michael drops the paper in front of the other man. “What does this mean, Trev? I thought we were over this shit.”
“First of all, Michael, I will decide when we are over it,” Trevor snaps. “Second — can’t a guy joke around anymore without there being some deeper, psychological reason for it?”
“With you? I think there’s always a deeper, psychological reason,” he grins. “But c’mon, how’d you get this in the studio?”
“I’m a seasoned robber, pork chop. Don’t you think I could get in without anyone knowing?”
“Uh, you’re more the type to be so loud and brash that everyone ends up knowing you’re there.”
Trevor shrugs, knowing his running buddy has some sort of point. “Alright, I told them we were married, and I needed to see you.”
Michael laughs, but his amusement is short lived when Trevor’s face stays earnest. “You didn’t.”
“I sure did, Mikey. And a few of those assholes weren’t very supportive, so you need to watch the company you keep, man.”
“Trevor! I work with those people! They all know I’m married to Amanda. What did they say? Were they shocked?”
“Not one soul was shocked,” Trevor huffs out a laugh. “Eighty percent of Vinewood is in the closet.”
Michael falters. “But … I’m not. I’m not —”
“I think we both know that’s not true, sugar.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First dates. They were one hundred and ten percent first dates — or were they? What even is a date?
Longing looks, some sort of nerves, maybe a sprinkle of sexual tension for a lot of people — Christ. By that definition, he and Trevor had been on nothing but dates their whole lives with one another.
It’s not that Michael didn’t know there is something between them, but what that something is often eluded him.
He had miraculously talked Trevor into going to a Los Santos Panic game. Neither guy was a sports fanatic — Trevor choosing to forgo watching sports altogether for the most part because, in his words, “if I wanted to watch a bunch of guys touch balls, I’d just watch porn,” and Michael was undoubtedly more of a movie buff since most games only reminded him of what could have blossomed out of his high school football career.
Nonetheless, Michael indulged in a game or two — if not for the game itself, at least for the buttered popcorn and greasy hotdogs.
“You know that shit is bad for you, right? One day, I’m going to have to call the paramedics to haul your fat carcass out of the bed after you have a heart attack in your sleep.”
Michael rolls his eyes before halfheartedly giving Trevor a shove. “Ha, ha. Very funny, cocksucker.”
“It’s not a mean insult if it’s true, Mikey.”
Their next “date” is at Beachwalk Bistro near Vespucci Beach. Both men slipped into some unspoken agreement that they are delicately walking the line between friendship and more.
Michael fidgets with his napkin, glancing over at Trevor who seems uncharacteristically uneasy as well. The air crackles around them with an energy, a blend of nostalgic and unexplored feelings.
Michael clears his throat. “So, uh, how’s life?”
Trevor smirks, his eyes glistening with amusement. “How’s life? You mean since you last saw me yesterday?”
Michael gives a subtle sigh before changing the subject completely. “Amanda and I are getting divorced.”
At that, Trevor nods. “Yeah, Jimmy told me.”
A look of shock crosses Michael’s face, but before he can ask, the waiter comes over and interrupts them. They hastily place their orders before retreating into silence.
As the night unfolds, their conversation sticks — for the most part — around work, upcoming plans with Franklin and Lamar, and anything else but the emotions lingering beneath the surface. That doesn’t stop Trevor from brushing his hand against Michael’s while grabbing at his plate for a taste or Michael from taking an extra long glance at his best friend.
With plates emptied and stacked, they both leave the restaurant, choosing to make the short trek to Vespucci Beach and walk.
There is a hesitant pause before Trevor breaks the silence. “This wasn’t terrible, Mikey.”
“It was different.”
Trevor hums in agreement, a small smile on his lips. “Yeah, different. In a good way.”
Their eyes met, a shared understanding between them. The unspoken tension that’s been building since Trevor made his way back into Michael’s life gave way to a warmth that only hinted at the depth of their connection.
Michael reached out his hand and tentatively linked his fingers through Trevor’s, and the taller man reciprocated immediately by giving a subtle squeeze.
“We’ve been through a lot of fucked up shit, Trev,” Michael says, stopping along the water to look at Trevor. “I know we’ve worked through most of it by now, but I didn’t really expect things to turn out like this.”
“Life’s full of surprises, sugar.”
Their eyes meet, and suddenly one — or both — are leaning in to finally close the distance. The first brush of their lips ignits the metaphorical spark that has been smoldering for months.
As they pull back, neither man is quick to say anything. Instead, Michael just tugs on Trevor’s hand, and they head down the beach once again.
“So, Mikey. Kissing your best friend on the beach under the moonlight. A little cliche, even for you, don’t you think?”
Michael just grins and shakes his head. “What? You’ve never had a fantasy?”
“Well, there was one,” Trevor starts. “We kill a bunch of those bikers, dump their bodies in the river, then fuck in their van — or keep their bodies in the van … you know, if you’re into that.”
“Jesus fucking Christ,” Michael mutters. “Let’s just keep our thoughts to ourselves from now on.”
“Your loss.”
Yeah, they were definitely dates.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You’re ‘embarrassed’ for us? You’re the one who spray-painted that in the first place!”
“I was trying to be loving,” Trevor huffs. “At least I didn’t take a picture of my meal like I’m a middle-aged white mom on Lifeinvader.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Michael says, running his hands through Trevor’s grown-out hair. “Make fun all you want. You wrote ‘Trevor plus Mikey’ on the wall. You love me.”
“Shut the fuck up before I tell Amanda about the time you wore her underwear.”
Michael points a finger at his boyfriend. “That was one god damn time, and it was only because you asked.”
Trevor laughs. “You looked pretty, sugar. Don’t worry.”
Tumblr media
“You can’t avoid her forever, Mikey.”
Michael groans, his head resting in his hands as he lays on their shared bed. “Tracey saw the notes, T. She knows.”
“Well, we do live together now. I’m pretty sure she already knows.”
“No,” Michael drops his hands to meet Trevor’s eyes. “Christ. She knows what the notes said. How the fuck can I look her in the eyes now?”
Trevor’s face scrunches up in confusion. “You divorced her mom to shack up with her uncle. How the fuck could you look her in the eyes before?”
Michael tries to glare at him, but it doesn’t come off as menacing as years prior — it never does now. “I know you ain’t wrong, but you don’t have to say it.”
“She loves you. Stop worrying.”
“But —”
“‘No buts,” Trevor cuts him off, placing a kiss on the top of his head. “She just wants you happy. So stop moping like a sad sack of shit and come cuddle me.”
Tumblr media
“Now who’s the one hanging shit like it’s art?”
Michael feels Trevor wrap his arms around him from behind and place a kiss on his neck. “What do you mean, T?”
“Has your memory deteriorated already? You used to hate when I’d pin up pictures of our various … activities.”
“That was different,” Michael links one of his hands with Trevor’s, who are still wrapped around his waist, and uses the other one to sort through more photos before landing on one. “Do you remember this night back in North Yankton?”
Trevor lets his gaze fall down to the photo, which shows a young Michael and Trevor sporting a buzz cut and long hair respectively. They’re standing in front of a fire, the soft glow from the flames highlighting their features. Trevor, who has one arm around the shorter man’s shoulders is flipping off the camera, and Michael is smirking up at Trevor like he just said something amusing before the flash went off.
“Sure do, pork chop,” Trevor says. “Think Brad took this one. More importantly, I couldn’t forget this night if I tried. Your questionable singing still haunts my nightmares.”
Michael chuckles, reaching for another photo. “I thought I sounded pretty good.”
“Keep dreaming,” Trevor unwraps his arms around Michael to look through the remaining photos. “Can I add stuff to this board too?”
“So long as it doesn’t scar anyone,” Michael jokes.
“No promises, Mikey.”

"Hi good night or good morning I was just asking if you can do a teen Michael afton with a Jamaican s/o"
( yes am Jamaican and i hope your alright and well :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TEEN MICHAEL AFTON WITH A JAMAICAN S/O☆
pairing ˖ ݁ ˓ teen michael afton x jamaican!reader drabble + headcanons (both Michael and reader are 18 seniors)
note ⋮sorry if this took long :,) please let me know if any of the following seems disrespectful since I’m not Jamaican, if there is let me know and I’ll fix or take it down, enjoy :D also no bite of 83 here just pure love and Michael just being an idiotic flirtatious teen in love ♡
contains ⋮ fluff, michael is a douchebag but he’s a total flirtatious dorky sweetheart, michael has a mullet, 80s love, pet names, a little tiny bit of spice nothing much
* ੈ✩‧₊˚
It all started in early 1984, you were a new student in Hurricane, Utah. A simple girl with a pretty face, minding your own business, doing what you need to do, not a goody two shoes, just a student wanting to get your senior year over with, not expecting excitement until from a certain popular boy changes it all.
Michael tried so hard to not focus since he didn’t want to attach with someone who is new and wants to make them feel like any other nerd.
But he couldn’t because why did you have to be so damn beautiful?
Always looking pretty, being chill, you weren’t to prudy or too rude, you were just a butterfly fluttering around finding sweet nectar.
The way your long locs swayed gracefully as you did P.E, how relaxed you look, being cheerful at times like the world wasn't watching, your warm smile, your dark skin that made him all giddy inside, just YOU. Maybe he’ll cut you some slack and not be asshole just like he did to the other new students.
But that doesn’t mean he won’t mess with you a bit because that’s what he is. A bully
He made his move the next day when you were putting your stuff away in your locker, you turned your head to meet a teen about 18 years old and gave you a smirk with those stupid blue eyes that somehow made your heart flutter, but then you realize it was Michael Afton, the troublesome boy, the bad boy, you looked at him a playful judgmental look at his sudden appearance beside your locker.
“You're the new girl, innit?” he asked, and not in a way to be friendly but to annoy you, you were unbothered since you can do the same, you closed your locker and held your books close you, “Yea? What are you here for? To shove inside my locker as you do to the other kids?” you teased, damn, your voice was attractive as hell, he could just melt in that spot he's standing, his tried to maintain tough in front of you but damn just you existing made him a giddy dork.
Although he didn’t expect you to respond, instead all his cockiness faded, well not all but more than half
“What? No no no, you got it wrong I just...hmph...I, oh shit, you just seem cool and I wanted to introduce myself since you don’t seem nerdy or geeky as the other new students…..” You slowly raised a brow and chuckled a bit, “There’s nothing more cute than seeing a punk get nervous over a girl, how sweet.”
You knew he liked- well had a crush on you- but Michael didn’t like the slow chemistry going on so he followed his instincts and confessed to you about his feelings, you weren’t going to lie, he was attractive and treated you like a queen more than he did with his friends, plus he was really to fun to hang out with and you were indeed catching feelings.
That night, you two were just cuddling in the back of car and he whispered sweet nothings in your ear, his thumbs softly rubbing your cheek, he so wanted to kiss those plump lips of yours that seem to have pineapple lipgloss but you decided to tease him and kiss him on the cheek instead, payback for the bullying he does towards his little brother and the nerdy freshman.
“Drive me home, pretty boy. I’m tired, it was nice today, thank you.”
Poor boy didn’t get his kiss, karma tho.
Anywho- headcanons!
Sometimes when it’s night time in Friday nights Michael would visit you outside your balcony, just seeing you dance to a childhood reggae song or any other music that you like.
“Nice moves, babydoll.”
Yup, babydoll is the special nickname he has for you.
He came back that night just to get his kiss, you found it silly but still, you couldn't resist it, you so wanted to kiss him back, and damn it sent him to the moon.
The kiss was romantic, slow, and passionate and when I say after that kiss, Michael will buy you loads of lipgloss for those perfectly shaped lips of yours, you just look so darn beautiful in them, he wants to claim you in every shape, way, or form.
He wants to learn how to do your hair and doesn't want to mess it up, if you ever ran out of the shampoo that is needed for your texture he will buy it in a second, need new bonnets? He will buy the finest ones on earth.
If he messes up the slightest on styling your hair he’d cursed himself while you just laugh at him and just teach him the basics.
He LOVES laying between your pillowy thighs, the way the lamp reflects your dark skin is like an image the gods sent him. Double pointers if you play with fluffy mullet while he rests his head between your thighs giving them butterfly kisses.
If you were to sleep over at his house he would lend you an oversize band shirt, he definitely didn't hide your pajamas just so he could get away with seeing you with his shirts.
Anywho
The days you doll yourself up, with cute clothes that fit your curves perfectly, your hair either styled in long locs, braids with beads, or an afro with flower decorations, Michael will do everything in his power to hold you by the waist, a sign to show others your his.
He gets more possessive when the tormentors from his friend group flirt with you, like for instance, Jeremy Fitzgerald (freddy mask) once said-
“You and I will get married one day ;)”
Michael: MARRY MY FIST—
Sorry this silly punk British boy loves you so much, he can’t help it.
But you return your love and reassure his by kissing him all over his face with your plump lips, his grin turns idioticly boyish.
He’d love your parents and how they embrace their culture, your dad having records of popular 60s-70s reggae artists in the living room like Bob Marley and The Wailers, Toots & The Maytals, Horace Andy, etc.
Your mother gave you the idea to invite Michael over for dinner to meet him, and Michael was more than happy because the food tasted like he's got a piece of what heaven is like, the dinner was a Jamaican dish called Fish Escovitch along with fried plantains as a side snack.
William didn't know how to cook for shit, and the poor boy had to eat it because as much as he'd rather starve he knew he couldn't.
But with this food your mother served, he was finally satisfied but had to maintain proper, despite him being a dirtbag that has no shame slamming geeks into the lockers and mercilessly beating them up.
When school was finally over for the summer, you invited him to Jamaica for two weeks of the summer, a town called Falmouth.
And you in your emerald bikini and beach skirt that fitted your dark skin is so beautiful, he always asked himself how he got so lucky to have someone like you, a piece of the heavens sent for him ignoring his aggressive persona of a bully, because, despite all that, the heavens new Michael Afton would treat you like a queen.
It was like you were made of stars instead of atoms.
In the lagoon, at night, Michael would place a Hibiscus flower behind your ear, place you on his lap and kiss your face and run gently his pale fingers onto your wet locs and whisper-
“I love you F/N, only you, and forever be, even in the afterlives, there will be no existence where me and you aren’t together.”

Idk if you ship it but Texas Michael/Outlaw Ty with 31 or 36? 👀
Write a Kiss …after a small rejection. (31)
Oooh I had fun writing this one! Thank you <3 i hope you like it!
“You’re just the same as the rest of them. I shoulda known that,” Michael said, his voice steely and cold. If Ty didn’t know him so well, he wouldn’t have been able to detect the small tremor at the end that Michael was trying so hard to hide.
“Michael…” He reached out to rest his hand on Michael’s shoulder, but it was brushed away the moment he made contact. Still, Ty continued, “I am them. And they are me. You know this — or know that’s how I feel about the matter, at least. But let’s not rehash this.”
“If that’s true, I cain’t trust ya.”
Ty chose not to rise to the bait. They had talked about their respective view on iterations countless times, and no good ever came from it. Instead he chose to focus on the real issue as he saw it. “Have I done anything — anything to break your trust?”
“You just did.”
“You knew I was in contact with the Compound! If they determine that I am no longer useful, they will not allow this to continue. So I keep them informed of what’s going on, none of this is new to you.”
“So you’ve gotta tell them everything little thing that’s going, huh?”
“It’s not like that, Tex. They were going to find out and it was better if I was the one to tell them.”
“And why do you think you’re the only one who gets to make that decision? Should I go let Base know, then, or did ya already do that?”
Ty sighed and furrowed his brow. It was a moment before he answered, “You’re right. I should have talked to you first. I’m sorry.”
Michael paced back and forth, taking his hat off momentarily so he could run his fingers through his hair. Then suddenly, he stopped right in front of Ty. They were inches apart at most. There was nothing Ty wanted more than to wrap his arms around Michael and apologize, but it had been made clear to him that Michael wasn’t going to be receptive to that. They stood there in silence for what felt like an eternity before Michael leaned into him, resting his forehead against Ty’s. Quietly he said, “I forgive ya. Just talk to me next time.”
“Yes, yes, of course.” Ty could feel his shoulder relax. He hadn’t even realized he was holding tension there, but the sudden lack of it was a relief. He cautiously raised a hand to Michael’s cheek, hovering just over it. Michael's hand went up — not to push his away but to cover it, closing the gap. Then Michael leaned in closer. The moment his lips gently touched Ty’s, any lingering stress from their argument evaporated. Michael seemed rough, but in moments like this he was all softness, and Ty could never get enough. He vied for more, pressing his body into his partner’s, but Michael leaned back slightly as he put his other hand on the small of Ty’s back. A small grin spread across his face.
“I can never stay mad at ya, Outlaw.”
“Not for long. And aren’t I grateful for that,” he said, before going in for another kiss.

I absolutely loved the doll! mc one with the brothers and diavolo. Could I ask for the same idea with the rest of the undateables and luke? If it isn't too much though. Thank you very much, don't forget to take care of yourself and stay hydrated!
I’m glad you enjoyed the first part!! I hope you’re staying safe through this pandemic and that you’re drinking plenty of water. I’m so happy that people liked the Doll!MC scenario so much (it even became one of my top posts and I was NEVER expecting that to happen 😳 click here to read it with the Bros and Diavolo). I got an UR card for Barbatos today and immediately thought back to this scenario cause I was just imagining the different situations with Doll!MC. Hope you enjoy!
Also, Luke’s part is strictly platonic, just FYI!
The Undateables (Minus Diavolo) with Doll!MC
Barbatos
Let me just say, you make this man’s day so much better
Your presence is just so calming for him. You could just be standing there (which is heavily enforced in the kitchen), not doing anything, and he would still be fully relaxed
Definitely loves you being in the kitchen with him, and will find ways to invite you so that you guys can spend time together
“MC, the young master has a tea party planned for this afternoon, and I’m afraid I may need your assistance to help prepare.”
“But Barb, I thought you didn’t want me touching anything-”
“I don’t want you touching anything that can cause you harm. I can easily handle the labor, but I do have a task for you...”
Cue to you sitting perfectly still and taste testing his sweets
“Barb, are you sure that I’m helping you like this? I don’t want to be useless to you!”
“Nonsense, MC. This is perfect. I needed someone with an exceptional palette, and you’re just the right person for me.”
Just you and him, and his sweet creations. What more could he ask for?
Maybe being in a relationship with you, but he is very sure that it’s going to be happening in the near future...and he didn’t even have to use his powers to know that
He stares at you a lot. He can’t help it, he loves to just admire you!
Barbatos is the type of guy where he doesn’t have to rely on words to express his love. His love language is acts of service: packing you lunch and extra sweets every week, giving you recipes that he wouldn’t even share with Luke, and gifting you mini accessories that you can wear with your outfits!
He gave you this adorable three-legged crow holding a cupcake hairpin and you’ve been wearing it ever since
He tries to hide his blush everytime he sees you and now he has to work even harder because of the pin lmao
HAVING YOUR OWN TEA PARTIES WEEKLY
You both have a designated day and time where you don’t plan anything in order to have your own tea parties
No Diavolo, no noisy demon brothers, no other exchange students (sorry Luke). Just you and him, enjoying each other’s company and him basking in your glow
If someone did try to harm you, he would already know of it and properly disposes of the problem. Lord Diavolo can’t afford to have any issues interfering with the exchange program, and he can’t afford to have anything happen to you so...no harm no foul, right?
Please continue to do what you’re doing MC. Stare at him with your bright, doe eyes and give him that lively smile everytime. It makes his day go by much easier, especially since he knows that you’ll still be there, waiting for him with your own desserts and that smile reserved just for him
Simeon
Was convinced that you were an angel
Lowkey still convinced that you’re an angel
Really, you just look so...angelic
Wasn’t upset when you revealed that you were in fact human; he was happy because this meant that he could show you around the Celestial Realm!
Speaking of Celestial Realm, be prepared for Simeon to be your very own personal tour guide everytime. This could be your 50th time up there and he’ll still try to point new things out
“And over here is-”
“Michael’s favorite resting place, since the lilies always seem to bloom whenever he’s around,” you giggled. “I remember Simeon, you tell me this everytime we visit!”
He’s a tad embarrassed
“Forgive me, MC. It seems that I get so elated over the fact that you’re here with me, I tend to repeat some things over.”
That’s okay! I still have fun with you everytime!”
Oh MC, you’re too adorable!
Which causes him to worry over you. While he knows that the brothers and Diavolo (along with Barbatos) wouldn’t dare cause you any distress, the same couldn’t be said for the other demons lurking around, both in and out of RAD
But not to fear, Simeon your friendly guardian angel is here!
I am so sorry for the rhyme lmao
He may not have been personally assigned to you, but that doesn’t mean he can just let anything happen to you! He’s only doing his heavenly duties in protecting you! He’s also being a good friend by watching over you too, his little lamb
He wouldn’t attack anyone, but if he made a complaint or a very serious concern to the right person (Lucifer or Diavolo), consider the problem handled
You have your own tea time as well, and Luke would join you sometimes. But, every now and then, Luke would have to finish some homework or study, or Barbatos would miraculously call for him at the castle, or if it was just too late and Luke just had to go to sleep, then it would just be you two. Sitting by the fireplace, discussing matters ranging from RAD to your life in the human world, drinking tea that you would take turns preparing
Not to mention the downright dainty little cakes you would bring. One time you brought him angel cakes and he found so lighthearted and precious that he requested you bring them everytime, just for him
May or may not base a character in his new story around you
Simeon wants to shield you from the horrors that are surrounding you both. You’re so pure, he just wants you safe. From the way that you would dress to the way that your eyes would just look so amazed and innocent at him, he just knows that he needs to watch over you, always. The brothers do get a little wary when they see how much time you do spend at Purgatory Hall, but they know that Simeon couldn’t possibly have feelings for you, and you were always so giddy after leaving there, they couldn’t bring themselves to say anything
And Simeon knew that he was starting to feel more than he should. He couldn’t profess his love for you now in risk of falling, but he can wait until you get your wings. Just imagining you in your cute little Ceslestial Realm outfit (which he hopes still mimicked your current style) with your very own beaming halo was enough to keep him waiting and to make sure that you stayed on the right path
He deemed that you were worth the wait
Luke
BFFs! BFFs!
When he first saw you he could just cry
Someone innocent like you got sent down here with these monsters?! He had to keep you safe!!!
Simeon thought you were angel and then realized that you were not; Luke thought you were an angel and refused to believe that you weren’t
You didn’t have it in you to burst his bubble so soon, so you just let him run with it until Simon broke the news
It was like telling a kid that Santa Claus wasn’t real; you can only imagine how Luke took the revelation
Not well from what Solomon told you. Simeon kept saying he just needs some time to process things, and you just felt so awful about the whole thing
Which lead to you bringing him so much sweets that it made Beel jealous and very upset
But we all know how Beel can be around food, so it wasn’t a huge surprise. He chased you around all day and you had to use your pact to get him to stop!
And you promised to make him double the sweets in he forgave you so all is well
Luke was still obviously sad, but he wasn’t going to stay sad forever. Especially not after you brought this many sweets just for him!
Lucifer was not a happy demon when Simeon arrived at the HoL’s doorstep with you groaning and clutching your stomach. And Solomon took so many pictures of Luke while he passed out from his sugar high that he dedicated a whole album in his phone to it
Favorite activity to do together: Baking! (Obviously)
Trading recipes, shopping for ingredients together, baking things for each other to try (where really it was just to have double the desserts)
When you two are in the kitchen together, no one else is allowed (except for Simeon, but only if he’s looking and not touching). It’s now MC and Luke time, everybody else is gonna have to wait!
Luke only wants you to do the the activities that he sees as harmless: which is everything that doesn’t include sharp items and anything else that can hurt you
“MC get away from that! That can seriously hurt you! Let me get it for you instead!
“Luke, honey, it’s just an oven it’s not my first time using one-”
Too late, he already took it out of your hands into his own, mitts already on
Speaking of oven mitts
You guys have matching aprons and mitts!!
Barbatos may be a little bit jealous, but he likes the bond that you two have. And he knows that Luke won’t be a romantic rival so he’s alright lol
Luke is your deemed protector/bodyguard, and he proudly wears the title since no one bothers you because of him (or so he thinks). Everyone makes fun of him calling him a chihuahua, but jokes on him, when Luke complains, he complains
Won’t take long for Simeon or even one of the brothers to pick up on his whines complaints if he thinks someone is bothering you
Luke believes that while he’s small, he can protect you and try to keep you free from danger. He may be young, but he sees himself as the older brother out of you both (even though it’s really you being the older sibling and him being the baby). Always looking out for you especially since you’re too fragile to be left alone!
You’re one of the only people that genuinely likes him and don’t make fun of him. You’re dear to him MC, please don’t ever change!
Also, he definitely talks to Michael about you all the time so excitedly and sends him sweets that you both made together. Michael is a proud dad at this point
Solomon
Knew you wasn’t a doll but loved to tease you about being one anyway
Was there a spell that can really turn you into a doll? You wouldn’t mind if he tried it out on you, right MC?
Don’t tempt him please because he WILL do it
“Tell me, MC. Hypothetically speaking, if I were to purchase-”
“No Solomon, you can’t shrink me down to fit me into a dollhouse, no matter how nice it sounds. Besides, I can’t bake in a dollhouse, the oven wouldn’t work!”
“I can fix that.”
You’re very amusing to him for some reason. Was it because of how doll-like you are? The fairytale way that you dressed? How you were still human and was able to live with seven of the most powerful demons and not die? Maybe it’s the way that you still radiated such positivity despite being in literal Hell?
Honestly all of the above
TEACHING HIM HOW TO COOK/BAKE
Poor Solomon doesn’t realize that his cooking isn’t...the best
And you took the best approach in helping him atleast cook something that looks edible
You didn’t say his cooking was disgusting like some people (literally everyone else), so he took that you giving him lessons was a date of sorts
He wasn’t complaining. Your time spent in the kitchen was scenes straight of a romcom (no matter how cheesy it sounds); his arms wrapped around your waist and dotting icing on your pretty nose
May or may not have licked some icing off of you at one point, will definitely do it again
Solomon is a very confident man, borderline arrogant (Oh who am I kidding he IS arrogant). So yes, while people may see you as an easy target, he’s here to remind them that you’re not. And that if they want to try, chances are they won’t be walking away in one piece
He’s powerful, too powerful in fact. He may not be the strongest physically, but if even the entire student council recognizes his knowledge and what he’s capable of, no one should be dumb enough to test him (keyword: try)
But he wouldn’t mind showing off if it’s for you
You’re one of the only beings to ever peak Solomon’s interest genuinely. Yes, he loved to tease and bug you whenever he pleased, but you also made him want to come around you more and more. He was drawn to you, and that doesn’t happen a lot with him (at least without ulterior motives)
*coughcough* making pacts *coughcough*
You were the only thing that made Solomon feel weak, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Don’t get him wrong, he’s still The Greatest Sorcerer, but he couldn’t help but feel himself get weak in the knees when you gazed at him with so much sincerity. He loves it and loves you
Once your back in the human world, he’s going to be so selfish with you. I mean, he already kinda was now, but this time there won’t be any interruptions or distractions around to take your attention
Us humans have to stick together, and what better way to stick together than to be together, wouldn’t you say MC?

Heart’s Possession - MichaelxAdamxFem!reader Part 7
Adam and Reader grew up together and were high school sweethearts, after his death and learning about monsters, (Y/N) tries to move on but never forgets her first love. When ten years pass, what will happen when a familiar face appears?
TW: I’m sorry for what I must do
-
"Alright." Michael said as he walked back into the living room, "Message has been sent. Time and location and my words of 'defeat'." He air quoted the last word with his fingers.
The plan had been to trick God (easier said than done) into a trap. Jack had gotten an ability to absorb power from an incident where Dean has made him into a bomb to destroy God and his sister, Amara. The fact that God had a sister who was literally darkness was still mind-boggling. And then, Jack would be more powerful than God and could take him down.
Sam nodded, "Good. Now, Michael, after this, there's no going back. It ends. He ends."
The angel let out a long breath through his nose, looking down at his love as he spoke: "I know. I'm prepared for whatever he's going to do tomorrow." He faced the Winchesters again, "I will see to it that Adam returns. That the world will be as it once was." Sam and Jack slipped off around then to sleep before “the big day” leaving the eldest brother behind.
Dean nodded, a smile twinging at his lips: "Ya know, what?" The couple turned to look at him, “You’re not half bad.” Michael smiled genuinely and nodded. He began tugging her towards the guest room when she slipped his hand from him.
“I just need to talk to Dean for a minute. I’ll meet you.” Michael nodded at her words, pressing a kiss to her forehead and walking towards the bedrooms.
When she looked back at Dean, he was leaning against the large table at the center of the room, sipping on a beer. He regarded her with a nod, motioning next to him on the table. Taking the offered spot, she smiled at him.
“Thank you for believing him.” Looking back towards the direction where Michael had gone, she sighed: “Michael can be difficult, I know. But he really has changed.”
“Seems like Adam had a major effect on him.” Dean said, nudging her with his elbow.
Thinking back, she nodded: “Yeah, Adam was just like that. I remember when we first met. Adam was this outgoing, brave kid. But he was the nicest and kindest. There were these four older kids who used to follow me around the playground, asking me if I slept in the graveyard or if I practiced kissing on the corpses.”
“Jeez.” Dean muttered, grimacing at the thought.
She chuckled, “Yeah. Adam hadn’t been one for confrontation, these are the same kids who made fun of him for not having a dad. The kids were shoving me towards a dead bird on the playground, trying to push me on top of it. Then they were just... Gone. I looked back and I saw Adam just laying into them. He was yelling and punching.”
“Kicked their ass?” Dean smirked.
“Oh no, he got his behind handed to him.” She smirked, “He was like eighty pounds soaking wet at the time. Then when the parents were called, mine no showed, so Kate took us both for ice cream. And when I asked him why he would help me, he just smiled.” She could see his face now, his lip was busted, a black eye already forming, “He said ‘I wanted to help you’. And I fell in love right there.”
Dean sat there for a moment in deep thought, “Look, (Y/N), I know we haven’t done right by you when we should have. And I’m sorry. When we get Adam back, I promise you we’re gonna be the family that he deserves.”
“Thanks, Dean.” She patted his back, then made her way to the bedroom where Michael was standing in the corner like he was waiting for her return.
“Come on.” She called softly, “We need rest.”
“I don’t require-”
“Yes, I know." She stood unnaturally straight with a serious expression, "You don’t require sleep.” After relaxing, she took his hands, leading him towards the bed. “But you need to relax your body. Your mind, if possible.” He smiled at her, rolling his eyes.
“Am I sensing a break in your seriousness, archangel Michael?” She raised an eyebrow at him, draping her hands around his neck.
“Only for those I love most, precious one.” His words caused heat to bloom in her cheeks, avoiding looking at his gaze.
“Oh, are we shy now?” He teased, “So unlike you."
"Shut up."
-
Just before the sun was at its highest, three humans, an angel and a Nephilim made the trek to a beach alcove near Hastings. It was a peaceful place. The water sparkled in the sunlight, the only thing that dampened the moment was the overwhelming quiet of the place. No birds, no wildlife, not even a single mosquito.
They set up a spell in the alcove near the lake. The spell, as Sam described it, was just a glorified flashlight. All it would do is send up a beam of light and would alert Chuck where they were. They stood in a circle around the three metal bowls containing the spell ingredients, Sam "reading" Death's God book. (Y/N) gripped onto Michael's hand tightly, trying to steady her breathing as much as she could.
“Let’s light it up.” Dean said as he stood up from adding in the last of the ingredients.
Sam lit a match and dropped it in one of the three bowls on the ground with a few words of Latin. The bowls sparked to life, sending a bright blue beam of light into the sky. And then, the spell seemed to "fizzle out" and the beam was gone, the three bowls being thrown apart from the loss of energy.
Dean stared down at the spell in confusion, looking to Sam: “Wait. What happened? What’s wrong?”
Sam’s face was looking past Michael and (Y/N), Dean and Jack's gaze following. It was a gaze that made her hair stand up on end, like they were staring at the monster at the end of a book.
The angel turned them both around to stare at the man he called father, God.
Honestly, she wasn't sure what she was expecting. But the man who stood in front of her looked like just that: a man. He wore a tweed suit with an open jacket, his hair was slightly curled, beard touched with gray.
God smirked at the group, waving his hand. An invisible force blew Dean, Sam, and Jack to the ground, and the power had made her heart rate skyrocket. But the sweat against her palm told her that Michael was also nervous.
“Father.” Michael spoke sternly, as if he were back to being the soldier he had been.
“Son.” His father replied with the same lack of enthusiasm, “And, listen, I appreciate the heads-up about all this.” playing right into the trap.
“It’s always been my destiny to serve you.” Michael's smile was bittersweet.
“Yeah.” God drawled out, “The thing is, it’s kind of late in the game. You did side with the Winchesters. Plus, it seemed that you were also touched by humanity. That I can't forgive."
“Father, no.” Michael shook his head, “That was a lapse of judgment, I admit, but I swear I-”
“Save it!” The Allmighty's eyes turned a bright blue color, Michael's jaw shut tightly as the blast from his words hit them.
Then God smiled, a little chuckle in his voice as he turned to face her. While his eyes were kind, they still pierced into her soul.
"Ya know, I never would have guessed such an insignificant waste of plasma would be able to sink her hooks into Adam, let alone such a powerful being." His words were harsh, a dull ache forming in her belly. "The phrase God's mistake comes to mind and funnily enough; you were a mistake." He moved his hands in a spinning motion. "Just threw some bits and bobs together to make sure that John Winchester's child got a funeral; that was when the Winchester's weren't on my shit list." The ache in her stomach grew in pain, her teeth biting into her cheek to take her mind off of it, off of his beratement, off of the pain in her hand from Michael's increasing grip.
"But that's not your fault." He said sympathetically, "But it is your fault that Michael will be punished." The pain elevated in a sharp peak, bringing her to her knees with the loudest scream her throat would allow. Her insides felt like they were being ripped apart. She could even breathe long enough before another cry of agony ripped through her. She could taste blood and bile mixing in the back of her throat, bubbling with each scream. Michael was kneeling beside her, eyes wide and panicked. He pressed two fingers to her forehead, like he healed her and others countless times before, but it wasn't working.
"Sorry, you can't heal her." Chuck shoved his hands in his pockets, watching the show.
The angel looked to the others, seeing Dean and Sam struggling to get off the ground, held down by his father's will. They were all made to watch.
Eyes burning, vision hated with blood, (Y/N) could no longer scream. Life's blood violently projected from her throat as her body desperately tried to expel the blood filling her lungs.
Soon, the waves of red ceased, only a stream as she collapsed on the ground. Rocks digging into her cheek. Michael's trembling hands pulled her on his lap, tears trailing down his cheeks.
"No, no, no, no, please." He whispered through sobs, "Please not like this. I can't lose you, I can't-" He was cut off by a cough.
"It's so dark." She croaked as her vision failed. The white light everyone talked about, the one they would see when they died, was gone, nothing but an empty void.
“(Y/N)?” Michael whimpered as her body went limp. Then, as if to torture him more, as she took her last watery sounding breath she crumpled away into dust.
The angel starred as his precious one flew away on the breeze, breathing erratically through his nose. He gritted his teeth tightly, going to stand even as his body shook. Staring his father down, he began to walk towards him.
“I did everything you asked of me!” He shouted, pain in his every word, “I slaughtered thousands in your name, I murdered my own brothers. And you took everything that I had to show for it.” His eyes burned bright but before he could make a last mark on the world, God snapped his fingers.
Michael then knew the darkness that (Y/N) had been so afraid of.

Smoke Break C. T. H.
Tumblr media
Summary: At Calums' party he leaves for a smoke, y/n joining him later on. Some rando pukes on y/n leaving the two to get away. He maybe receives a gift.
Warnings: Swearing, Sex, Oral sex, smoking, mentions of alcohol.
Word Count: 3475
Calum's POV
Who the hell are these people? It's a party for me and I know no one here. Fucking great, Oh yeah mate, trust me it's gonna be HUGE. You'll love it. This is the last time I listen to Ashton. Do I look like I'm fucking having a great time?
We need to get him a girlfriend. They all tell me I need to settle but I'm known as the lone wolf it never works with the lifestyle we have. Well somehow Luke and Michael make it work but to me it's exhausting.
"Aye mate, having fun?" I turn to see dyed hair and I know it's Michael.
"It's fine." I huff as someone shouts happy birthday once more. I see Roy across the way with some chick and he shrugs at me. I would've just preferred to go see Mali but she's always busy now. I just look at Michael while taking a sip of the beer in my cup I've been on this one since this shit of a party started.
"It could be worse you know? You could-" He's interrupted by Crystal who leans up and whispers in his ear he nods and begins to grab her hand. "We're gonna head out she's not feeling well." He gives me a sympathetic smile. "Happy birthday." is all he says when they begin to leave the room. Welp, there goes another friend.
I haven't seen Ashton since the party started and Luke definitely is getting it in with Sierra right now. Literally, all over each other, it's truly disgusting if you asked me. Deciding to move away from this wall I head to the kitchen to throw this drink away, taste watered down because of the ice. Pushing through the moving bodies and the lights everywhere, I dump that shit in the sink. Ashton comes my way trailing a girl behind him, "There you are! Y/n showed up?" I see the hair of a girl just talking to someone who's just come behind her.
Y/n has been around us for a while. I don't know when but our friendship started after we met at a party. She was waiting for Arzylea to join her when we started talking. Next thing you know she was a part of our inner circle. Not gonna lie, She's my favorite person in the group. Everyone thought that when Arz and Luke broke up, she would leave too but she's still here. And she keeps that group chat very entertaining shall I say. We've hung out a few times, with her it's different though. I don't feel the need to be THE Calum Hood bass player for 5SOS, she knew of me but cared more for the person I was. She asked questions even though she knew the answers. I just felt relaxed with her. As more people entered the kitchen, I go to the back porch where I don't see anyone. There are too many people and I don't even want to think about how to clean this up. Pulling a cigarette from the pack I just let the smoke fill my lungs and slowly exhale while leaning against the siding of the house.
"You know that's an awfully bad habit you have Hood." The familiar voice speaks, forcing me to open my eyes.
I chuckle, "Why aren't you enjoying the party?" I ask her.
"Come on you know that's not my scene." I nod silently agreeing. She looks stunning, the way her dress hugs her body, she's so effortlessly flawless. Most girls have to go through a tribal ritual to look as amazing as her. "Stop that." she laughs.
I shake my head slightly to remember what I just did. "Sorry I-I didn't mean to um yeah fuck." I stumble for words she just nods. "It's okay.'' she looks down and fumbles with her hands. It's cute how she does that, almost like she doesn't know she's the most beautiful person in the room. A harsh gust of wind pushes past and she shivers. I look at her and open my arms with my jacket she rolls her eyes but gets closer. Holding the cigarette with my mouth to free my hands I just pull her closer until I feel the warmth of our bodies touch.
"Thanks" She mumbles against my chest. She looks up at me before pulling the cigarette between my lips, just as I'm about to protest she takes a puff. Watching her smoke is by far the hottest thing I've seen, and I've seen Luke naked.
"Oh look who's punkrock now?" I smirk at her as she brings the burning toxin to my lips. Her laugh. Sounds like fucking angels I can feel her chest moving through my shirt. "Can I be in the band now?" She raises an eyebrow.
Dropping the small bud I just laugh along with her. "hEYYY I'm serious" she wines.
"Sure you are." I smile at her.
"No offense Cal but your party blows." She looks at the lights jumping on the hardwood of the deck.
"It's more of Ashton's," I admit. One hell of a birthday. She wraps her arms around my waist and places her head on my chest. "Happy birthday Cal," she whispers.
"Thank you y/n." I can feel my pulse in my throat. Being with her makes me so comfortable but yet I feel like I'm on fire. She gets me like no one else could imagine. I place my chin on the top of her head and just hold her. I don't want this to end. "Did Ashton invite you?" curious to how she showed up. In the group chat she said she had plans this weekend. I was really disappointed because if it wasn't clear enough I like her a lot.
"Something like that." She reaches for her phone and scrolls through her text. "From Ashton at 6:58 am," she begins to read slightly pulling away to look at the screen between us. "Hey Y/n! know you're busy this weekend but that doesn't matter because Calum likes you and won't admit it but it would be cool as lemons if you could show up." I'm going to fucking kill him. I hope he likes his ashes being burnt with that fucking lemon tree. She smiles at me and I feel like I could evaporate right the fuck here. Oh Ashton. I will kill you. The door next to us opens and some random guy comes out drunk as hell. "Oh h-hey you three," His burp interrupts him, "It's a great party in thheere"
As he stumbles Y/n goes to keep him upright, but his body has other plans. The foul smell that comes from the vomit projecting on Y/n is awful. He apologizes but quickly goes back inside wiping his mouth on his shirt. "Are you okay?" I ask her equally as shocked. Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment, I grab her hand without waiting for a response and drag her inside. After her many protest and looks from random people that can smell the bile on her, we make it to the stairs. There are too many fucking people here. Constantly pushing past bodies I know none of these bathrooms are cleared. I walk her down the hallway to my bedroom door when someone interrupts me. "Dude, I've been trying to get in there all night. It's locked. Complete dipshit of an owner right." He smirks reaching for a high five. I roll my eyes at his gesture and grab the key to open my door. His smirk fades into one of realization. He tries to apologize but I shut the door in his face after Y/n follows me inside.
I take off my shoes and she looks at me questioningly. "I have a bathroom in here you can use Y/n." as I relock my door. The last thing I need is for some stranger to come messing with my personal stuff.
"You shouldn't have-"
"Shut up. Some stranger just threw up on you. I would prefer to be in here with you than out there where I don't know anyone. Now go shower." She starts to argue but I just help shove her in the bathroom while closing the door. She knocks from the inside of the door, "Yes Y/n?" I smile at her playful banter.
"I need help. I can't reach the zipper" she says through the wooden door. I release the handle and nod. right she can't see me. Opening the door I walk in, "So your plan was to lock me in here?" She smiles looking through the mirror at me while moving her hair to one side of her shoulder.
"Not exactly, I was gonna kidnap you later." I grab the small zipper and begin to undo it. No wonder who the hell can hold this tiny thing. Once I get it down she thanks me. "Just throw it away okay?"
"But-" I stare at her and she agrees. Closing the door to let her shower. Clothes, she needs clothes. I walk into my closet and grab a t-shirt and her emergency bag. She came up with the idea since no one knows how to bring clothes anywhere we all have one outfit at everyone's place. Thanks to Michael she had to wear the outfit here, but her undergarments are still there.
I knock on the door and she's still in the shower so I leave the shirt and the bag on the counter in the steamy room. Walking out I take off the skinny jeans I'm wearing and change into sweats and a t-shirt.
So many options. Who ever came up with Netflix is a fucking genius. My phone buzzes next to me and I see Ashtons Name. A text, great!
From: Daddy 1:17 am
Bryana's here. Gonna go Catch up.
I just send him an 'Ok' because we all know they're still stuck on each other and there's no way in hell I'm going down there. About 20 minutes into big mouth Y/n walks out of the bathroom wearing the clothes I left for her. No one's ever looked that good in my shirt, shit I don't even look good in my shirt. "Thank you Calum" she quietly commented. "No problem." I pat the spot next to me and she climbs in the bed. I hit play on the tv remote as the show continues to play. I can't even focus on the hormone monster on the screen, this feels so fucking right. I feel her playing with my hand as she watches the screen intently. Her brow furrowing when she doesn't get the concept of Jay being a magician or the way her eyes crinkle when she laughs. I could literally just watch her all day. I mean I know she doesn't like me but I can't help but imagine what a relationship with her would be like. I don't want to jeopardize our friendship but this, this feels more important. It's just not fair I mean there's tour and I wouldn't want to be away from her that long if she were mine. I don't understand how she's single I mean look at her. And you don't find many girls with a personality like hers, she's so kind-hearted and the most humble person I know. When we were in Bali, everyone went to this pool resort and we thought she went missing for the day. But she returned home after visiting orphanages and helping at the village day clinic. I don't want to be selfish but I'll be damned if I let her go. I'm so thankful for that girlfriend of Luke's to bring her completely unbothered, outgoing, and amazing friend with her to that club in New York.
"Did you hear me?" The soft voice brings me from my thoughts. I look down at her "No what?" She starts laughing. I see a black screen on the wall and look at her quizzically. She raises her hands in defense "It's been off for the past 15 minutes." she shrugs. "You looked deep in thought." I just stay silent and look up at the ceiling. ''You can talk to me you know?" she whispers.
"Have you ever wanted something you can't have?" I ask. She chews on her bottom lip before responding.
"I suppose, I mean in regards to what?" but I cut her off, "Why'd you come tonight?"
"It's your birthday." she states clearly confused. "Ashton's text doesn't bother you?"
"I didn't think it would have to bother me?-"
"You had plans."
"You mean much more Cal." I let her words sink in. Did she like me the way I like her?or maybe she doesn't and I'm really hoping for something? No. This could never work. I don't do relationships.
"Do you wanna keep watching? " I ask her hoping she'll say yes.
"That was the last episode" she says as she turns to me a glimpse if hope in her eyes. "We can just talk Cal."
"I'm actually pretty tired." She nods, a small frown on her face as she goes and turns the light off. "Night Cal"
"Goodnight Y/n." I whisper before pulling her closer to me. I feel her muscles relax and soft snores escape her lips.
* * *
The sun in the room feels warm against my skin. Opening one eye I see the contract of the bright light against the walls. As I go to move the curtains I feel a warm presence next to me turn. Well, fuck me. Her shirt came up just the slightest to exposed her black lace panties to me and damn is it a sight. Look away. Look away. Look away.
Physically getting up from the bed she pouts and rubs her eyes. "Cal? " her slightly rasped voice speaks. "Yeah just closing the blinds. "
"Can you leave it just a tad. " she ask pulling the covers over her. "The soft light is nice. " I mean I can't say no. "Come here. " she demands and I get back in bed with her. "I should probably start cleaning soon. " I say as a line ass excited to leave the room. All I can picture is how good she looked in these panties and I need to take care of this soon.
"No you won't, since when have you cleaned? Plus I told you I'd help. " my dick is straining against these fucking briefs.
She softly traces random patterns into my skin as we just lay there admiring the room. "Cal" she mumbles.
"You've got an uh-problem. " the blood rushes to my cheeks as she notices my boner. "Sorry i-" I begin to excuse myself from the room hoping a black hole could appear. That would be great.
Surprisingly enough she pushes me to keep me in place. "It just occurred to me that I never got you a gift."
She runs her fingers over my manhood, "Can I make it up to you?"
"Y/n I don't think-" Oh fuck. My dick twitched at the sight of her removing my shirt leaving me speechless. The black lace that clung to her, which landed us in this situation, looked even better than before. "Um you -uh" I start mumbling trying not to look at her body for too long. I mean I could but I'd cum no question.
"It's either a yes or no?" as I was about to answer she started running her hand along the thin black lines. My eyes never leaving her hand as she teasingly rubbed her clit through the fabric. "You see Cal, I want you as much as you want me."
Fuck friendship. I replace her hand with my own to feel her. Fuck how long I've waited to do this. She pushes my hand away from her core while leaving open mouth kisses down my jaw. Licking my earlobe, she whispers, "You're the birthday boy."
She scoots further down the bed until her face is near my groin. This is a sight I could get used to. She slips her fingers in the band and starts pulling my briefs down. Her eyes light up once she sees my throbbing shaft. "You have such a pretty dick." Her thumb runs over my tip causing me to shudder and if possible made me harder. "Y/n you don't have to." My voice cracking a bit, why the fuck was I so nervous.
She rolls her eyes as she kisses my tip her tongue licking along the vein. She slowly begins taking me in her mouth, "Oh fuck y/n" I moan as she swallows around me, her hand pumping what she can't fit all the way. Her mouth is so warm and she's so fucking perfect. My head hits the headboard as my other hand laces itself in her curls as she bobbed her head along my length, letting every sound fall from my lips. Accidentally I pulled her hair which I was going to apologize for until she moaned. The vibrations that sexy ass sound I thrusted up. Fuck no I want to be in her.
"Y/n stop." She let her teeth graze my dick as she moved her mouth off of me. My stiffened member glowing with her saliva.
"I'm sorry this was a bad-" She started mumbling getting off the bed and fixing her hair.
"No!" I yelled surprised at my own tone. "I mean um you're great I just- I want to be in you." The redness on my cheeks very visible. She hesitates before sliding her panties off, "We don't have to I'm sorry I just thought that's where this was going and I-" She kisses me softly and I shut the hell up.
"Calm down, I was just thinking." She says straddling my lap removing her bra. "And before you ask what about well," she lines me with her entrance "It was whether I wanted a condom or not." Our moans are in unison as she slowly slides onto me. Feeling her tight walls stretch around me, her dripping arousal glistening in the soft lights of the sun. The whimper that came from her mouth as she takes all of me. "I'm on the pill and it's your birthday meaning you get the full experience." She says after a moment of her adjusting, sending a playful wink my way. She begins to move and I swear no one has ever felt this good. My hands find their way to her hips slowly rocking her back and forth.
"Fuck Cal" She whimpers as she begins to ride me. I move one of my guiding hands to find her sensitive nub, tracing small circles with the pad of my finger. She jerks back from the touch causing me to smirk, someone's sensitive. I place my thumb over her sensitive nub yet again rubbing back and forth eliciting a moan from her. “Cal I can’t-“ Grabbing her hair pulling her face closer to me, “ You can and you will, got it?” She whimpers nodding in agreement, “I’m not cumming till that pretty pussy of yours is pulsing.” Slowly grinding my hips up, grazing her g-spot with my tip. “Cal-fuck, this was supposed to be your gift.” Grabbing the back of her thigh slowly bringing her body closer to mine, I turn us so she’s underneath me.
“Go out with me and we’ll call it even yeah?” I ask her before continuing to thrust into her. Our moans fall in unison as I pick up the pace. Thrusting into her faster than the time before, the only sounds heard throughout are those of our moans and skin clapping together. My mouth finds its way to her neck, assaulting the soft skin in the area- leaving a reminder for this evening. I can feel her tightening around me, edging me close to my own release. “Cal I’m close.” She manages to mutter as I find my way back to her clit, rubbing fast purposeful circles. Watching the way her pants and moans fall through her lips to the glistening of her chest as it rises and falls with each breath. The sight being enough to drive me to the brink of insanity, “Cum for me y/n.” Almost instantly her eyes roll back as she arches her back, her pussy tightening without mercy forcing my own orgasm to appear. My hips jut forward as I release into her , slowly edging us both along. Our panting is the only thing to be heard as a gently collapse on top of her. “Did you mean it?” She ask, moving the hair from my forehead.
“If you mean me asking you out, yes.” She smiles and pulls my face closer to hers. “took you long enough.” She whispers before attaching her lips to mine.

"I'm telling you man, you just need to get back out there," Clayton said, throwing an arm around me, "I know you're upset about your divorce from Emily, but things will get better."
"Can you just not say her name," I pleaded, "Let's just enjoy this night out."
"Yeah," he smiled, of course.  He ordered another round of shots, and he, Richard, Michael, Danny, and a few more of the guys tossed them back.  After a while it became a game to see who could keep up with one another, and while I didn't want to get drunk, I didn't want to be left out of the fun.
It was a little after midnight when I finally saw my phone.  Call time was set for 2 PM, so we had plenty of time to drink still, but I wanted to make sure my alarms were set.
"Come on man," Michael laughed, putting a hand over my phone, "enjoy the night."
I laughed at how wasted he was and offered to buy the next round.  The guys cheered for me as I stood to order it.  I put my phone on the table when I felt the room rush around me.
Shit.
Maybe I'm not as sober as I thought I was.  Richard laughed and him and Clayton stood on either side of me, "you okay JD?"
I nodded and waved them off, "i'm fine."
I made my way to the bar and ordered a round for the table.
"Oh my god, you're EZ from that biker show," a girl exclaimed from beside me, "can I have a picture with you?"
I nodded, and she immediately hugged me.  The second girl immediately pulled out her phone, "oh my god can we take a selfie with you?"
"Sure," I chuckled.  They took a few selfies with me and pushed their way out of the bar area.  A blonde with long wavy hair was pushed by the two fans as she grabbed her drink, and it caused her to spill her drink on some douche bag.
"What the hell, bitch!"
"Oh my god," she said, absolutely horrified.  She set her empty martini glass on the bar.  She began reaching for napkins, "i'm so sorry.  Those girls pushed me."
The guy wasn't hearing any of it, and continued to curse at her, calling her all sorts of names.  I took a few side steps towards them, "hey man.  It was an accident."
"Bullshit," the guy growled, clearly intoxicated, "this fucking whore poured her drink on me."
"HEY!" I exclaimed, coming to the girl's defense, "two of my fans pushed her.  I'll buy you a round or whatever, but it was an accident."
"And who the fuck are you?" the guy growled, standing up.  He pushed my shoulder, "is this your bitch?"
"Woah," I laughed, trying to diffuse the situation, "you need to relax, buddy."
"I said it was an accident," the girl in front of me said.  The guy poked at her shoulder and told her to shut up.  He pushed her backwards against me.  She turned after she stepped on my foot, "oh my god I'm so sorry."
"Clumsy bitch!"
"Hey," I yelled, over the music, grabbing his attention.  Before I could push the girl behind me and swing on the guy, her thin arms swung, and her hand connected with his jaw.  She didn't slap him either.  It was a pretty solid right hook.
My eyes went wide, and I looked at the girl in front of me.  She spat at him, "that wasn't an accident.  Asshole."
The guy didn't do anything.  The bartenders just laughed.
"Anna," one of the bartenders said to the girl.  She turned to him, "you better get out of here before your dad sees you started another barfight."
She smiled and turned into me.  She literally ran into my chest, "shit.  I'm sorry."
I smiled, "you are quite a character, you know..."
"Are you trying to hit on me?" she asked with a laugh.
I chuckled, "I guess I am."
She bit her lip then stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to my cheek.  When she pulled away I felt drunk as hell.
"I'm Anna!"
"JD."
"Well JD," she giggled, "you doing anything?"
"Not a damn thing," I said, forgetting about the guys at the table, "You got plans, or are you free like me?"
"Come on," she smiled, taking my hand, "you've got plans now."

Note
omfg sera you had me hooked on “claimed the lab for the cartel” YESSSSS that’s just so wicked and delicious and YES seducing jesse is a masterstroke (i can’t imagine jesse being very “starry-eyed” but i do think he would get a little sheepish and shy, sort of like when he met jane? it would be so lovely to explore his interactions with lalo. oh my goodness. DON’T DESTROY HIM SERA PLEASE. PROTECT JESSE. 😭😭😭)
Ahahaha I'm so glad people are on board with this! Don't worry, the only thing getting destroyed in this fic is Walt's heart since Lalo steals his man lmao I should probably wait until I'm done the whole fic, but I just finished the go-kart scene and am impatient, so here's an unedited sneak peak: The go-karting itself was a blur.
Which was the point, usually. Jesse liked go-karting because it dulled the non-stop bullshit that usually swirled around his head— his biggest regrets, his worst memories, his most terrifying fears. Jane’s vomit-soaked hair and Tuco’s gun in his face got a lot blurrier when he was on the track. It gave him something to concentrate on.
Didn’t work as well when there was a cartel don lapping you, even if he gave you a friendly wave every time he passed. Especially since he was the cousin of the guy who almost killed you twice.
Afterward, they got lunch at the on-site café. The go-kart track was a part of a bigger family entertainment center, and there was a birthday party being celebrated. Kids whizzed around the arcade, bouncing off the walls like pinballs, their faces smeared with frosting. Another reason Jesse loved this place—nothing drowned out misery like the sound of kids having fun.
Lalo told Jesse to find a place to sit while he placed their order. Jesse was kinda surprised he wanted to eat here—family fun center wasn’t exactly the ambiance he imagined a drug lord would be into.
But Lalo wasn’t your average drug lord. He didn’t dress like one, for starters. Today he wore a pale pink shirt, olive green pants, and these weird bright blue loafers. It wasn’t an outfit that screamed narco. Another weird thing about him was that he didn’t haul a bunch of back up muscle everywhere he went. In Jesse’s experience, the bigshots were never alone. They always traveled with a crew. Stands to reason—being assassinated was, like, the top cause of death for these guys.
But Lalo seemed to prefer to be on his own. Other than an extremely grumpy old man called Michael and a couple of guys who gave him the creeps, Jesse hadn’t met anyone else in Lalo’s crew, and Jesse didn’t get the impression they accompanied Lalo often. Guy had balls of steel—or trust issues. Maybe both.
Lalo returned with a number card on a steel stick for their order and two cups for the soda fountain. On their way back from getting their drinks, a frazzled mom in jean shorts and a pizza-stained top emerged from the party room and called out to the kids to come get more arcade tokens. There was a mad rush, and Lalo and Jesse nearly got trampled. They managed to sidestep the herd, but a little soda splashed Lalo’s shirt in the process.
Jesse tensed—what was he going to do if Lalo lost his shit at a bunch of kids? Maybe he could distract him. He put his drink down on a nearby table and swiped a couple napkins. “Oh shit, my bad!” He dabbed at the wet spot on Lalo’s shirt. “I’m such a clumsy asshole sometimes. I’m real sorry—"
He broke off when Lalo put his hand over Jesse’s. Their eyes met, and Jesse swallowed. Lalo raised his eyebrows, but he didn’t look upset. If anything, he seemed amused. He extracted the napkins from Jesse’s grip and took over the clean-up. “Don’t worry about it.” He gestured in the direction of the children. “Cute kids, yeah?”
Jesse pulled his hand away and rubbed the back of his neck. “Uh, yeah.”
They returned to their table. Jesse slouched in his seat and fidgeted with his straw. He still didn’t understand why they were here.
“This was a good idea,” Lalo said. “I really needed to relax. Thanks.”
Technically speaking, Jesse invited Mr. White, and then Lalo overheard and invited himself, but Jesse wasn’t about to point that out. “Uh, no problem.”
“You do this a lot?”
Jesse shrugged. “Yeah. Or, well—not so much anymore, I guess.”
“I love seeing kids having fun,” Lalo continued. “Takes me back to more innocent days. My tio took me to the arcade. He was in prison for most of my childhood, but he made up for it when he got out. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier than I was then, with pockets filled with tokens and my tio by my side…” He trailed off, then shook his head and smiled fondly. “Forgive me. I’m sentimental—I like to remember.”
Jesse gazed at the kids at play. “My last birthday party was here,” he said. “I mean, my last kid party.” He remembered his mom and dad’s smiling faces, his baby brother toddling around and screeching with delight as the big kids played. Even then, Jesse got in trouble a lot, but it was kid stuff. His parents were sure he’d outgrow it. They still loved him then.
Jesse rubbed his eyes and sniffed, then straightened in his seat and forced a smile. “I remember thinking it was cool as shit to get to drive a go-kart. Too bad real driving isn’t as fun.”
“Depends on the car, yeah? Mine are plenty fun to drive.”
Just then, the mom from earlier approached. She had a child in tow—her son, probably, since he had the same hair. He wore a big button declaring him the birthday boy. “Excuse me,” she said with a bright, nervous smile. “Now, don’t get mad at the staff—they told me you wanted to remain anonymous, but I bullied them into telling me. Thank you so, so much for the extra tokens—the kids are over the moon!”
Jesse furrowed his brow. Extra tokens?
“It’s my pleasure,” Lalo said, and seemed to mean it. He turned to the little boy. “So you’re the birthday boy, then. Or should I say birthday young man! How old are you?”
“Ten,” the boy said.
“You know, I saw you out on the track. You’re a great driver—you think you might be a NASCAR racer someday?”
The boy’s eyes went wide. “I love NASCAR,” he said with great seriousness. “You really think I could make it?”
“I always mean what I say.”
A huge smile spread across the boy’s face.
After a few more profuse thank yous, the mom and boy departed. Lalo caught Jesse’s eye and grinned; with embarrassment, Jesse realized he’d been staring at him.
He coughed and turned his head. “You really bought tokens for all those kids? Why?”
His eyes twinkled. “I told you. I’m sentimental.”
“You aren’t what I expected,” he said before he could stop himself.
Lalo’s grin turned sly. “And what did you expect? Someone like Tuco?”
Jesse’s heart thudded and his stomach twisted. Maybe this was all an all a plot to get his guard down and get him to confess something. But he seemed so—well, nice. Jesse rubbed his face. Christ, he was so fucking sick of being scared and miserable all the time, always waiting for the other shoe to drop. He decided to take a risk. “Yeah, actually. I mean”—he looked around to make sure no one was in earshot and lowered his voice—“Mr. White said you put a gun to his head. You were gonna ice him right there, for revenge. And now you’re what, taking me go-karting? I mean, like, thanks for not killing us and all, but yeah, color me confused.”
Lalo took a sip of his drink before he answered. “I loved my cousin, but Tuco was—what’s the expression?” He snapped his fingers while he thought. “Ah, I know. A loose cannon. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. And then your Mr. White explained about his cancer and offered his services.” Lalo shrugged. “If he’s going to die anyway, what’s the point in killing him now when I could make a lot of money first?”
“Yeah, but I’m not dying of cancer,” Jesse pointed out. “And I was there, too.”
Lalo cocked his head. “You know, most people in your place wouldn’t want to remind me of that. In fact, I think they’d use this opportunity to pin as much blame on their partner as possible.”
Shit, good point. He crossed his arms and slouched again. “He’s my partner. I’m not throwing him under the bus.”
Lalo regarded him for a long moment. “You aren’t what I expected, either,” he said at last. “You’re loyal.” His mouth curved around the word as if he savored its taste.
Their food arrived—Lalo had gotten them a pepperoni pizza and some breadsticks. Conversation died out as they ate.
Jesse went for a refill on his drink. When he came back, Lalo pointed to the cup. “What’s that you’re drinking?”
“Uh, Mountain Dew.”
“Can I try some?”
“Sure.” Jesse handed him the drink and sat.
“It looks like antifreeze,” Lalo observed. He took a sip and his whole face puckered; his moustache even twitched. “¡Dios mío! That is sweet!” He handed the cup back to Jesse.
Jesse couldn’t help laughing. “Not much of a sweet tooth, huh?”
“Maybe not now, but I enjoy acquiring new tastes.”
The way he said it made Jesse’s face feel hot for some reason.

Day 27, Post #2 by @booksforevermore13
Author: @booksforevermore13
Summary:
"Well, considering the fact that you just asked me out - “
“and the fact that you turned me down,” he countered.
“- why not? she finished, grinning broadly. “And-and, if I had turned you down,” Ginny added, “I wouldn’t be going with you now, would I?”
“Fair enough."
Ginny’s spent the last two hours alone in a coffee shop. Luckily, a handsome stranger steps in
Pairing: Harry/Ginny
Prompt:
Meet-cute
Coffee Shop AU
Rating: T
...
“Sorry I’m so late love, traffic is crazy right now,” he said loudly, overly loud to be called normal. Ginny looked around, sure the entire cafe could hear him from where he was standing. Not to mention he was an unnaturally handsome man, and men like that tend to grab a lot of attention in a coffee shop.
Did she mention she had never seen him before?
Ginny watched him glance around and glare at a man staring at them, then bend down towards her. She almost automatically leaned away from him, and in all likelihood, she supposed he could see that she was uncomfortable, for he made sure to keep a safe distance between them.
Somehow, she felt that he was going to do that anyway.
“I’m Harry, just go with it, yeah? Whoever didn’t bother to show up is a git.”
Ginny frowned, dawning on her that this man she’d never seen in her life, who could essentially be a serial killer for all she cared, was trying to save her from the embarrassment that would follow when she got up after her two hour long wait in solitude.
Okay, fine.
She lied.
Her boyfriend, no, she’d not considered him one for months now, but anyway, the git stood her up. Technically, he’d always been a git, but she’d thought he’d have the least decency to at least call.
 Not that she hadn’t suffered the quiet glances enough, but she particularly didn’t want to see the pity that followed her when she got up to leave.
The self-respecting part of her wouldn’t have waited after the fifteen-minute mark, but she’d stuck around for the sole purpose of being miserable, because there really wasn’t anything else to do. And of course, for the hope that when and if he finally showed up, she’d enjoy giving him a piece of her mind. In the middle of the damn shop.
So, Ginny couldn’t help but smile for the first time that evening, because whoever this stranger was, he was doing a damn good job at turning her evening around.
She watched as he looked around the cafe, and pulled out the chair opposite her, stumbling while trying to sit. He didn’t make eye contact, but when he did, Ginny very nearly was taken aback by the dark green of his eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck, “I wouldn’t have sat here hadn’t it been for the - “
“It’s okay, I don’t mind.”
 This close, she could see a lighter green coronary around his iris and try as she did, Ginny couldn’t help the blush spreading across her cheeks.
“You didn’t have to do that,” she told him, and though she was glad he did, she was slightly embarrassed he had had to.
“Sure I did,” he replied while grinning, and it was one of those grins which were infectious enough to make even the likes of her smile. With one hand, she watched as he brushed his hair back, a few strands still over his eyes and Ginny struggled to keep the red away as their eyes met.
“I’m Ginny,” she said.
“It’s nice to meet you,” he replied, and Ginny, for a second there, was overcome with how much of a gentleman he was. Surprisingly enough, she found herself knowing the meaning behind the word, the first time she’d happened to do so, for Michael had been everything but.
“You know,” she shrugged, “if you want, you can walk out right now, right now, and you don’t need to—”
“Why do you assume I want to leave?”
Ginny blinked, taken aback by the interruption. “I just thought,” she stuttered, “you’d, I’d- I just thought you did this out of pity, which is what is expected but —”
“I didn’t...”
“I don’t need it,”she continued, “trust me, I am well aware the person who left me hanging was a git but — hang on, what?”
And Harry laughed, ducking his head, and Ginny felt like she was eleven all over again, blushing at the slightest laugh, riling up at the smallest comment, her hormones all over the place.
“I’m not doing this out of pity,” Harry said, and then he blushed, much to her surprise, red spreading down his neck, and cheeks. “I did this because, I, uhh,” he fumbled for words, and became even more flustered as Ginny raised an eyebrow at him. “It’s nothing actually.”
“But?”
“You’re beautiful.”
She laughed at that, relaxing into her seat, enjoying how he’d riled up at that, his face completely red.
For the first time that day, let herself relax, breathing out a sigh of relief. Was it relief or all of her pent up emotions at once? She didn’t know, but all she’d felt for the last few hours had been anger, annoyance, hurt, though the latter she refused to admit. She could only feel so much at once, she knew that, yet Michael had only added to her troubles and Ginny had let him.
She hated herself for that.
A moment later, she spoke up again, leaning towards Harry, still enjoying how he got all flustered by her words. Clearly, he wasn’t as smooth as she thought he had been.
“Can I ask you something?”
“What?”
“Who’s that girl sitting back there,” she gestured, “the one who’s been looking at us for the last few minutes from over her menu?
Harry whirled around, and then started chuckling. The girl in question dropped down again, and Harry turned back.
“That’s Hermione,” he said. “She’s my sister, friend,” he rubbed his neck again, “best friend.”
She shrugged. “Fair enough.”
Ginny had sat through Luna’s entire date with Rolf, she really couldn’t comment on it.
A moment later, Harry spoke up again, as if he’d thought of something important and wanted to get it out of the system. “Can I ask you something?” he said, repeating her words from before.
She smiled, sitting back in her seat. “Fire on.”
“I think now would be a good time to order something,” he said quietly. “That waitress over there has been giving us the stink-eye since before I sat here.”
“Can I tell you something?”
Harry nodded.
“She’s been doing that since the last two hours.”
He started laughing again, ducking his head again, and Ginny joined him, shaking her head in disbelief. She was still having a hard time believing that she was this relaxed around a complete stranger when she couldn’t even be this close with her family.
Nevertheless, she called the woman over here, who introduced herself yet again as Alicia, and then proceeded to rip their orders down in her notepad, stalking away afterwards. When she disappeared behind the counter again, Harry looked at her again, amusement dancing in his eyes.
“What’d you do to rile her up like that?”
Ginny grinned, returning his look. “I don’t blame her, really,” she said and chuckled, “if I was the one with a customer sitting for two hours straight without even drinking one measly coffee, I would have done more than glare.”
“Oh, I don’t doubt it.”
Ginny looked at him, an eyebrow arched. “You think you’ve got me all figured out, don’t you?” she teased and Harry scoffed.
“Not even close. I’m trying to, though I don’t think I ever will.”
“Good that.”
Behind him she saw the girl, Hermione, get up, and as Harry followed her gaze and turned, the girl looked at him, and smiled in reassurance, leaving a dollar note on the table and leaving.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Yeah.”
“She’s the one, now you be honest, she’s the one who pushed you to meet me, isn’t she?”
He had a sheepish look on his face as he shrugged, and Ginny threw her head back in laughter.
“How did you figure that one out?”
“You’re not as smooth as you think,” she teased, and Harry winced again, ducking his head as he smiled, and Ginny was glad she wasn’t the only one in their interaction behaving like a complete tween.
She took her time, observing him as the silence came after. It felt….comfortable, sitting with him, joking with him. There was a particular ease between them, one she hadn’t failed to notice, one she hadn’t shared with Michael or anyone she’d dated before.
He was handsome, Harry, with his lopsided glasses, and his green eyes sparkling behind them. If she could be so poetic herself, she’d have described it as a storm brewing in his eyes, the green of the forest across her house.
But she hadn’t failed to notice how it was slightly odd that he’d been here at the same time as she, and it was weird because it was a Monday, the busiest day of the week. He wasn’t an athlete, no athlete could be this charming and this flustered at the same time, and she didn’t know any other professions where they had a day off on Monday.
“What were you doing here?” she asked suddenly, and then winced, wondering if her question had been a bit too forward.
But Harry only shrugged. “Nothing of importance, really. I had a day off, so I decided to get out of the house for a change.”
“Sounds reasonable,” she replied. It was quite a mundane reason, nothing like she’d imagined. Nevertheless, she didn’t push him, didn’t ask for details, though that was partly because she knew it wasn’t her place. But over the years, with Michael and Dean and every other bloke she’d been with, constantly nagging her for details, where she’d been, whom she’d been with, why she’d been there with whomever she’d been with, that she knew better.
And she had a strong feeling that Harry appreciated it too.
When their eyes met again, she couldn’t help but smile. He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck again, and then leaned forward slightly.
“What do you want to do now?” he asked, and it was, if she could be so honest (a trait she didn’t possess) concerning that the very first thing Ginny thought was how much of a damn charmer he was and the second: she couldn’t wait to tell Luna.
Not for the first time, she found herself thinking she needed to get a life.
Ginny shrugged. “You’re the one with the plan. I do whatever seems fun at the moment.”
“And what exactly seems fun here right now?”
She looked around, giving a once-over of the place before shaking her head, shrugging.
“Nothing, nada. This is a most literal garbage dump.”
“Then how about we just talk?”
She arched an eyebrow at him, as if contemplating the great mysteries of the universe, before they burst out laughing, her eyes glinting with anticipation. It had been long since she’d felt this, this ridiculous fluttering in her stomach, this tingling she felt every time their fingers brushed together.
God, they were like two giggling teenagers. No wonder everyone was looking at them.
When she checked her watch under the table, it was six in the evening, and night was setting fast, their surroundings already a dusky blue. The door of the coffee shop was open, and every other minute, a huge gust of wind blew in, cool against the summer sun. Other than the two of them, there were only three other people in the shop, and one was just about to leave.
“Can I ask you something?”
Ginny smiled.
“You play for the London Dragons?”
She frowned, slightly taken aback by how he knew that piece of information before he pointed out her jacket.
“Oh,” she chuckled drily. “Yeah, I do. It’s my last year in college.”
“I see.”
Consciously, she tugged her sleeves down, clearing her throat in earnest. One minute she wanted to twirl around the cafe twice, giddy with excitement, and the other she wanted to jump twice in her chair in fear and anticipation.
Michael hadn’t been good for her emotions.
“Okay,” she mumbled. “My turn.” She cleared her throat, and Harry raised an eyebrow, to which she wiggled hers.
“Wh…. do you, um, do that?” She asked.
He looked at her in confusion, a slight smile playing on his face. He was adorable, and Ginny was having a hard time keeping herself from smiling too much.
“Do what?”
“This, when you laugh, you duck your head. Why do you do that?”
“I…..uh, I have no idea. It’s habit, I guess.”
“I see.”
They both solemnly looked at each, and then shared a smile, Ginny still feeling quite tingly in her fingers when they touched his. The couple sitting a few chairs away from them shot them a look, after which they had to shut down their sneaky-glancing contest, but that didn’t last long.
“So,” Harry shot her a mirthful smile, “tell me something about yourself.”
Ginny raised an eyebrow. “You save me from a dateless evening and now, you’re letting me talk about myself? Seems like I should be glad I was abandoned.”
“I think you should be more impressed by the fact that I know nothing about you.”
“And why is that?”
“So the chances of me mansplaining are next to none.”
Ginny laughed, sitting up straight in her chair. She folded her hands and looked at him. “Okay, one,” she started, “I, uhh...have six brothers, older, mind you and all of them are dolts of the highest calibre. Two, I have a dog, named Daisy, she’s a Husky, and the one being I love most in the world, and three, I am currently…. single.”
“Three things?”
“It’s your turn now.”
Harry laughed, and then copied her as he too, sat himself in the same position, his hands on the table, fingers drumming to a noiseless tune. “One, I have no siblings,” he clicked his tongue, and then continued. “Two, I….uh, I am an officer in Scotland Yard, under training though,” he said hurriedly as she looked at him in surprise, “and three, I’m twenty three, and single.”
She smirked, sitting back, satisfied, and trying to ignore the fact that he was single too (and failing miserably). “I didn’t know we had an officer in our midst,” she said.
“Under training.”
“Ah, well, potato, potahto.”
Harry chuckled, shaking his head in exasperation, and they sat up as Alicia, the waitress came to their table, holding their order, which she, by all accounts, slammed onto the table.
“Oh well, she’s a pleasant one,” Harry muttered and Ginny smiled into her coffee.
She blew on it and took a sip, before blatantly making a face. “Oh,” she put her coffee down. “That-that’s not good at all.”
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s bitter. It’s very bitter.”
“Oh,” Harry passed her a sugar packet, one which she graciously ripped open, dumping it’s contents into her coffee, stirring it, as she looked up at him.
“Can I ask you something?” Ginny gestured at his hair, and consciously, he ran his hand over it, as if he knew what she was talking about.
“What’s,” she hesitated, “that scar under your…your hair?”
She knew she’d messed up at that, for his eyes hardened, and he looked down at his plate. It was clearly a painful subject for him, one he wished to keep private and Ginny felt herself thinking she should have kept herself shut.
“I was in an accident,” he explained as their eyes met and Ginny nodded hurriedly, not asking more. She looked away, though she could feel his gaze on her long after she had turned.
“I have a feeling you want to ask something,” she smiled, and Harry nodded as he shifted in his seat.
“He, the person who didn’t show up,” he started, “he didn’t call?”
“No,” she replied sharply, before sighing. It was an awfully personal question, but she felt he deserved at least an explanation for why he had had to step in as her faux. “Michael, the boy, the git, and I,” she clicked her tongue, “well, we are too far gone to do something like that.”
“I don’t know what you mean,” Harry said quietly and Ginny shrugged. She’d never broached the subject before, her and Michael’s relationship, if she could even call it one, partly because she hadn’t bothered, and partly because she didn’t know what to feel about it.
“You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to. I overstepped, I’m sorry”
“No that’s alright,” she said, and waved her hands haphazardly around as if they could prove her point. “I mean we were broken up long before this. Four months, actually. This was basically grasping at needles in a haystack.”
That didn’t mean it didn’t hurt.
“Why didn’t you break up then?” Harry asked and Ginny couldn’t help but laugh. If she had figured that one out, she’d have put an end to this long since.
“I’m a bad girlfriend,” she chuckled drily. “He’s a bad boyfriend. We deserved each other.”
Harry didn’t ask more.
 It was a few long minutes before either of them spoke. Her brain was completely blank, one of those times where she didn’t say anything, didn’t think anything, just stared aimlessly at the sugar dissolving in her coffee.
“You know that gets me thinking,” she started, “why the hell did I date that jackass  in the first place?” Ginny looked at him, a smile playing on her lips, and a need to make the conversation lighter. “The answer to that question— well, I don’t exactly know— but, well, maybe because we were attracted to each other,” she said, nodding mockingly.
“But then that gets you thinking. I am, for example and this is completely hypothetical, attracted to pie,” Harry raised an eyebrow, hiding a smile, “or this coffee for example, but that doesn’t mean I feel the need to date it.”
She looked at him, and he looked at her, as if he didn’t quite know how to respond, and just like that, they burst out laughing again, as if they hadn’t been talking about her sorry excuse for a love life the very other second.
“I think that neither of us are drunk enough for this conversation,” Harry said between chuckles and Ginny laughed harder.
They paused as Alicia, the waitress shushed them from behind the counter, and looked at each other, both of them struggling to keep the chuckles in.
In a fit, she sipped on her coffee, immediately regretting it as she coughed, spitting the coffee back in the mug again.
“This is worse,” she coughed, gulping the water in. “This is like mud. Like bitter mud and sugar.”
Harry looked at her, slightly concerned before he pushed his chair out and stood up. “Okay,” he said. “That’s it.”
Ginny frowned in confusion, as he pushed the chair back in, slightly disheartened by what he was doing, but he only smiled, holding out his hand for her.
“Care to join me?”
Ginny tilted her head, trying out those words in her head and then laughed, shaking her head in disbelief.
“Where are you going?” she asked, and Harry looked at her, she was yet once again, captured breathless by his eyes on her.
“Anywhere but here,” he said, and Ginny felt her cheeks heating up.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were asking me out on a date.”
“Would that be so bad?”
“I literally just met you!” she exclaimed, chuckling in disbelief. Harry was still looking at her, and she found herself pausing, hesitating and then asking.
“How about, as two people who just met?”
“How about as friends?” Harry countered.
She shrugged, and then smirked. “Fair enough.”
So, when he offered his hand again, Ginny took it, and let him pull her up and as Harry smiled back at her with that grin of his, she couldn’t help but grin like that. In a moment of irony, she realised that had Michael not been a bad boyfriend and her, not the essential definition of the Mad Hatter, they would have never been standing here.
He let go of her hand as she stood up, though it lingered near hers long after he’d left it. Ginny didn’t pull away. She didn’t want to.
“Can I ask you something?” he asked, smiling, and both of them, completely ignorant of the fact that Alicia was now staring pointedly at them.
“Well, considering the fact that you just asked me out - “
“and the fact that you just turned me down,” he countered.
“- why not? she finished, grinning broadly. “And-and, if I had turned you down,” Ginny added, “I wouldn’t be going with you now, would I?”
“Fair enough.”

Honeymoon
Keanu silently enters the bedroom, his eyes immediately finding her, on the balcony. With her hands on the glass railing, her attention is on the beach outside. He struggled a lot to rent this house, but he wanted the best for her. It's beautiful, slightly isolated for privacy, and if they walk out the back door, they'll be with their feet on the sand.
He doesn't want to think much about what comes after this trip. He only prays that what's left of these two weeks will go by slowly, so he'll have more time with her before... Before whatever comes next. (Y/N) doesn't know the reason for all his schedules, the reason behind all these places he's taking her. She lived her childhood here, in a neighborhood half an hour from this house. Keanu had to ask Laura for help, to know the places to go. Laura doesn't think he should tell her yet, but he can't do this anymore. He can't do this to her.
The wind messes with her hair, and he's happy the weather helped. The sky is clear, in an amazing shade of blue with only a few clouds that make it look like a painting. Taking his phone from his pocket, he snaps a picture of her, and the clicking noise gives away his presence, and (Y/N) turns around, a smile on her lips.
“What are you doing?” She asks, making her way back inside the bedroom, walking over until she's standing before him, head raised to look into his eyes.
“You're so beautiful, I had to take a picture.” A picture he'll keep, to mend his broken heart when this is over.
“Then why do you look so sad?” The question makes him realize he's been letting it show. And that's not supposed to happen.
“I'm not. I'm so happy to be here with you that I can't even put it in words.” It makes her smile grow brighter, and Keanu feels like he could live the rest of his days just looking at her.
“So am I.” She grabs his sides, hands full of the fabric of his shirt. (Y/N) always does that, like she's asking for his attention. As if she didn't have all of it. But he finds it cute, and it never fails to warm up his heart. “Where are we going today?”
“We're staying home. The doctors said to take things slow, remember?” With a hand, he cups her cheek, thumb rubbing her soft skin.
“But it's only been three days and I'm completely fine.”
“I know. But will it be so bad to stay in today? With me?” The words make her giggle, as she tiptoes, beautiful, pink lips chasing his.
“It would be amazing, as are all my days with you.” Bending down, he kisses her, the taste of her lips almost too much for him to deal with. Overwhelming, inebriating. And Keanu is addicted. If only she was his. Truly, completely his, to love and cherish, for the rest of his life...
Tumblr media
You move to the bed with Keanu, and you quickly settle down. But you're not in the mood to just lie there, and since he doesn't want to take you out, it's the perfect day to do something fun in the house. “I have an idea.” Smirking, you climb on him, straddling his hips with each arm on the sides of his head. This is always a funny position since Keanu is a lot taller than you. Staring him from above is a nice change.
“Let's hear it.”
“There's a pool here so... We should go for a swim.” Keanu raises his eyebrows, a little surprised since you can't swim at all. But that's not where the whole idea ends. “Naked.”
“What?” The funny expression on his face makes you giggle. “Say that again.”
“Let's swim naked.” Sitting up straight, you shrug your shoulders.
“Sweetheart, you know drones exist right? The chances are small but never zero.” Keanu lightly holds your hips. “But we can go to the pool in normal swimsuits and take a bath in the tub after. And then get naked.”
“Uhm...” Looking away, you fake a thoughtful face. “The whole point is to get naked so why don't we just skip the pool and hit the tub?” Without waiting for an answer, you get off the bed, giving him a look before heading to the bathroom. You can't hold back the smile when you hear him following you.
•••
With you back resting against Keanu's chest, you relax in the warm water, even though the temperature is lowering. You have both your hands on your belly as Keanu places soft kisses on your neck and shoulder. You're still catching your breath, but you'll never tell him you get more tired with time. It's the baby, the doctors said, it's normal to feel a bit more tired than normal as time passes.
“So we have decided on the name.” He says, and you nod. “Sophie or Liam.”
“Sophie or Liam Reeves.” You agree, testing how the names sound. “I can't wait to find out which name we'll be using.”
“Me neither.”
Smiling, you feel a funny sensation. Like a pressure, a movement. Quickly, you place your hand on the right side of your belly, bellow the bellybutton, suddenly worried, and just about to tell Keanu something's wrong when you feel it. A soft, little kick under your hand. “Oh my God.” You mumble, barely able to hear yourself.
“What? What's wrong?”
Without saying anything, you take his hand, placing it on the right spot, hoping, waiting the baby will do it again, apprehension forcing both of you into silence. Then, you feel it, and you turn your head a little to look into his eyes. Keanu looks... Amazed. Blissful.
“Our baby is kicking, Ke.” You whisper, unable to hold back the smile.
“I love you.” He says, eyes set in yours, right before repeating the sentence to your swollen stomach. “And I love you too.”
Turning back around, you lie against him once more, hands above his. “I can't believe it. This amount of happiness is... Unbelievable.”
“You're beautiful, do you know that?”
Furrowing your eyebrows at the sudden compliment, you chuckle, cheeks heating up. “Why that now?”
“I just need you to know.”
Taking a deep breath, you move, once again straddling his hip, making small ripples on the water. “And you are so unbelievably handsome sometimes I wonder if you're real.” Running a hand through his jaw, you feel his stubble under your fingertips. “I love your beard. And your hair.” As you speak, you distribute kisses through his face. “Your face, your body, your voice. The kindness, gentleness, and honesty.” Keanu suddenly moves underneath you, as if bit by something. “What?”
“Nothing, beautiful. It's nothing.” Smiling, he kisses your lips. “Wanna take a walk on the beach?”
“Mhmm.” You agree, kissing him once again before standing up and leaving the tub, grabbing a towel. You're not anxious this time, eager to cover up. You feel comfortable around Keanu, and even if sometimes you still feel self-conscious, he's always there to reassure you he finds you beautiful. So it's not a problem anymore, to let him see your body. “I'll wear that dress you bought me.” You say, letting your hair down from the loose bun as you dry yourself.
“I'm sure you'll look gorgeous.”
“Maybe.” You mutter, winking at him before leaving the bathroom.
Half an hour later you're seating shotgun as Keanu drives through a cute street with colorful houses. You snap some pictures of the place, wondering why he took this route. Probably he thought you'd like the neighborhood, and he was right. “It's beautiful here.” You tell him, stealing a glance.
“It is.” After the short answer, he goes silent again for some seconds. “Let's stop here.”
“Alright.” He parks the car and you jump out, immediately kicking your shoes off and starting to walk on the sand.
“Do you want an ice cream?” Keanu asks, gesturing at a small store nearby.
“Yup.” Nodding, you smile as he tells you he'll be right back.
Moving closer to the water, a hand holding your sandals and the other keeping the hair off your face, you let the ripples reach your feet. The water is a bit cold, but you enjoy it.
“(Y/N)?” An unfamiliar voice calls, and you immediately turn at the source of the sound. A short, blond-haired guy is smiling at you, a hand protecting his eyes from the sun. “(Y/N), I... I heard about you but I didn't believe it.”
“Uhm... Sorry. Do I know you?”
The question lights up his face with recognition. “Oh, yeah. For a moment I forgot about the accident. I'm Michael. We were friends when we were younger. We went to Elementary school together.”
Your existence is not a mystery anymore. The news channel already showed your face more than once, and some magazines and online blogs talk about you every once in a while. Keanu Reeves' secret wife, with a child on the way. So it's not really a secret anymore. “I have a childhood friend in New York. Do you happen to know her name?” You decide to check since Laura has been your friend since kinder garden.
“Laura Marshal. I remember her.” The man rubs his neck, squinting his eyes. “We dated for like a month.”
“So you're that Michael.” Smiling, you offer your hand and he happily shakes it. “Sorry for not remembering.”
“No, don't even say that. What happened to you sucks. I mean, the accident.” He speaks fast, and you giggle.
“No need to sugar coat it. You can talk openly about the memory loss, I'm alright with it.”
“Yeah. But after I heard about the accident, which was horrible, let's make this clear, I couldn't believe what the news channels were saying about you and Keanu freaking Reeves.” Michael says his name in a lower voice, stepping closer as if telling a secret.
“Well, nobody knew about the marriage because we wanted to keep it private for as long as we could.” That's always the question that follows. People still find it insane how you just came out of nowhere, being Keanu's wife. “But with everything that happened, accident, memory, the baby, it would be quite difficult to keep it in the shadows.”
He makes a funny face, furrowing his eyebrows. “But that's not it, Uhm... Weren't you with Daniel?”
The name doesn't sound too strange, and after some seconds, you remember Lucia saying something about a Daniel... Yeah, she asked if you were considering the name for the baby and if it meant anything to you. “I don't know anything about a Daniel. Was he my friend too?”
“(Y/N), you and Daniel were–” Michael stops talking suddenly, eyes on something behind you. At someone.
Chuckling, you know who he's staring at. Turning around, you smile at Keanu. “Hey, babe. Come meet my friend, Michael.”
“Holy shit.” The guy mutters under his breath.
“I think he might need a selfie.” Shrugging your shoulders, you take the ice cream from his hands and start licking it.
“Hi. It's nice to meet you.” Your husband politely says, shaking Michael's hand. “You want a picture?”
“Please. I love Matrix. It's like my favorite movie. I'm such a big fan.”
Rolling your eyes, you take Michael's phone and snaps a couple of pictures of him and Keanu. The afternoon passes by with you three chatting. Michael is still quite impressed to be seeing Keanu face to face, and it makes you giggle every once in a while. When the night starts to fall, you say goodbye and head back to the house.
The trip does have this honeymoon style. It's just you and Keanu most of the time, even though Michael introduces you to two more people, Amanda and Kyle, who also claim to know you. Your husband eventually said that you grew up in this town, and he wanted you to see it. It does make you a little sad that you don't remember any of it, but Keanu soon makes you forget these thoughts. He's always so kind and loving, you didn't think it was possible to fall further in love with him, but that's exactly what happens.
Somehow you managed to convince your husband on staying one more week. It took some begging and creativity, and of course, some video calls with your doctors, but it worked in the end.
But the day comes when you're packing your things, just about to head off to the airport. You just finished with your baggage and answered a call from Michael, who wanted to say goodbye and ask you to bring Laura next time. You happily agree before hanging up, and that's when you remember the person he mentioned. The same Lucia made a big deal of. Waiting for Keanu to finish his shower, you scroll through your phone, eyes moving to the bathroom door when it opens.
“Hey, Ke.” You mutter, getting up to your feet. “Do you know someone named Daniel?” At the mention of the name, Keanu gets tense. You notice he tries to hide it, but it's crystal clear to you. It just makes everything stranger. “Michael mentioned a Daniel and so did Lucia.”
“Yeah, I know...” He mutters, avoiding your gaze.
“Ke, you're scaring me. Who the hell is this Daniel?”

Summary: Modern!AU Bucky doesn’t need anyone, especially not a sugar baby. He isn’t that desperate… but she smiles so sweetly and she’s endearingly awkward, and he’s so lonely. She’s an artist, a painter, the type of person who always puts others before herself. Throwing caution to the wind Bucky offers her a place to live, a place where she can finally paint whatever her heart desires. He doesn’t need much in return; a friend, a muse.
Word Count: 2,183
Warnings: none
A/N: This is brand new and probably one of the softest series I’ve ever written. I hope you enjoy it, these two are going to fall in love so hard!
Tumblr media
“I don’t feel good.”
You started rocking back and forth, your breathing coming too fast and too shallow. A drop of sweat rolled down from your armpit, making you hyperaware of the fact that you were looking like a mess. You pressed the back of your hand to your forehead and groaned; your hairline was wet.
Looking at your dress, you felt bile rise up in your throat.
You should have worn the blue dress. Blue was a nice colour, everyone loved blue. Blue made people calm and at ease. No, instead, you had taken Natasha’s advice and put on the tight orange-red dress that clung to your body and made your breasts look incredible.
But now the dress stuck uncomfortably to your body, the space between your breasts was wet and glistening. You couldn’t breathe, you couldn’t think. Red was the colour of passion, of anger and danger, and you just had to deal with your poor life decision.
Although deep down, you knew it wasn’t about the dress, or its colour.
“Relax,” Natasha said, sipping her lemonade. “I’m here, it’s going to be fine.”
“I am not fucking relaxed, Nat,” you repeated with a scoff. “I’m at a bar, about to meet a potential sugar daddy; that’s not what normal people do on a Friday night.”
“You’d be surprised,” she sassed. You gave her an unimpressed look. “Look, you can live with me for as long as you like, and you can work odd shifts at the hotel for the rest of your life if that’s what you want. But I know you, you’re an artist, and artists need freedom and benefactors. Sam is the reason I finished paying my tuition. You can call him my sugar daddy, but I prefer the word scholarship.”
Yeah, it was only a matter of perspective –and vocabulary. Some may call this whole thing brilliant, others stupid. You weren’t quite sure what to think yet.
“And this guy’s legit?” you asked for the nth time.
“Yes, Sam says he’s a great guy; sweet, handsome, thoughtful. He’s the whole package.”
“Mmmh.”
You eyed the pair of napkins the waiter had placed on the table along with your drinks, and wondered if it would be appropriate to stick them under your armpits to sop up the sweat trickling down your sides.
“Oh, fuck it,” you grumbled, reaching for the napkins.
You patted your armpits dry while you anxiously scanned the growing crowd. It was a high end bar, definitely not your usual hang out spot. The patrons were dressed in designer clothes and wore jewellery that cost more than your three years of art classes at the School of Visual Arts.
“Do we really have to stay sober?”
Natasha cocked a brow at you. “You don’t drink.”
You only groaned in response.
“I know how you’re feeling, I’ve been there, too,” she replied. “It’ll be like a normal first date. You’ll get to know each other, see if you guys hit it off, and if everything goes well you’ll talk about the arrangement. You can’t give consent if you’re under the influence of alcohol, so drink your lemonade and stop fussing, yeah?”
Like an obedient child, you brought the bent straw to your lips and took a quick sip of the icy refreshment. You toyed with the straw and watched the ice cubes slowly shrink. It was strangely soothing.
“They’re here.”
And just like that, your panic returned full force. You snapped your head up and tried to smile when you saw Sam approaching your table. You set your drink down on the coffee table and wiped your clammy hands on your dress.
Natasha stood up and gave Sam a kiss. While she wiped off a smudge of lipstick she had left on his upper lip, you glanced at the man behind Sam.
He was tall, muscular, and had a mysterious air about him. He was dressed casually, in black jeans and white t-shirt with a maroon bomber jacket that suited his pale complexion. The left sleeve of his jacket was tucked inside, empty.
Even without being an expert in behaviour analysis, you could tell he felt uncomfortable. He bowed his head to hide his face and kept looking around as if someone was going to attack him or as if he wanted to know where the nearest exit was.
Sam whispered something in the man’s ear and clapped him on the back before he turned to you.
“Okay, we’ll let you guys get to know each other.” Natasha looped her arm through Sam’s, and gave you an encouraging smile. You heard Sam whispering to his friend again. “Buck, seriously, you look like someone shoved a broomstick up your ass. Relax, man.”
“We’ll be over at the bar if you need anything.”
She gave you a thumbs-up as Sam led her across the crowd, toward the bar. With an authoritative look, Sam pointed to the seat across from yours and mouthed ‘sit’ at his friend who rolled his eyes and ground his teeth in response.
“Hi,” you started, trying to sound cheerful but the slight tremble in your voice gave you away.
“Hey, I’m sorry,” he cut you off, “you seem like a nice girl but I’m not looking for anyone, least of all a sugar baby. I told Sam it was a stupid idea, but he never listens. This has nothing to do with you, I’m sure you’re great. I’m really sorry, I hope you’re not disappointed.”
He had barely made eye contact with you during his long-winded speech but you did notice that they were blue. Now that you knew this wasn’t going anywhere, your shoulders lowered and you felt yourself smiling.
“Of course, I understand. I wasn’t particularly thrilled, too. No offense.”
He bent his head and ran a hand through his hair, his lips curved up in a soft smile. “Is your friend as meddling as mine?”
You let out a loud laugh, your eyes widening. “More! If meddling were an Olympic sport, Nat would have more medals than Michael Phelps.”
His shoulders shook in a soundless chuckle but he still wasn’t looking at you. “So why’d you agree?”
You took your glass of lemonade and played with the straw while you searched for an answer that wouldn’t sound too desperate or dramatic. You majestically failed.
“I guess I felt like I had nothing to lose.” You shrugged. “It’s like when you’re standing on the edge of a cliff and you only have two options; jumping off the cliff or getting eaten by a pack of wolves,” you said, checking them off on your fingers as you enumerated them. “You have to choose the lesser of two evils.”
He frowned, a curious glint in his eyes and a hint of a smile curved his lips. Your eyes widened when you realized you might have offended him.
“Not that I think you’re evil,” you rushed to add. “What I meant to say is that sometimes you don’t really have a choice. And when you have no other option but to jump, well... your chances are infinite. Anything can happen.”
He slowly raised his eyes to meet yours, a form of understanding in the depth of his icy blue eyes. He was truly handsome; a little older than the men you usually went out with, but he had kind eyes and very, very nice lips. You looked away, feeling a little foolish.
“Wow, I’m fun at parties, uh? Guess you dodged a bullet,” you laughed, cringing a little as you said it.
He returned a tight smile, loaded with something sad. He looked at you a moment longer and you held your breath, suddenly hoping he would stay and chat. A solemn expression crossed his face and he seemed to go through some kind of inner struggle before he reached a decision.
“It was nice meeting you,” he said, shaking your hand before wishing you goodnight. You watched him leave the bar, his shoulders hunched forward, looking as tense as he did when he entered.
That tiny flicker of hope left with him.
“Hey!” Sam called out, a deep frown on his face as he approached you. “Where is he going?”
“It didn’t work out,” you answered with a shrug.
Sam deflated. “I bet he didn’t even try.”
“Does it really matter?” you replied, shrugging into your coat, something way too thin for the changing weather. “He’s not ready, and honestly, you can’t blame him. This sugar daddy-baby thing isn’t for everyone.”
“I know that,” Sam argued, blowing out a frustrated breath. He turned to Natasha, silently pleading with her to understand, but she was as clueless as you were.
There were lots of reasons Sam wanted Bucky to meet you, and none of them included sex. It was difficult to explain his motivations without betraying his friend’s trust; without telling you too much about Bucky.
“I’m not trying to find him a girlfriend,” Sam continued. “He needs more friends, and he has connections to help you in the art world. I thought you two could help each other out.”
You wrapped your scarf around your neck and grabbed the backpack you had shoved under your seat. It contained your work uniform, clean underwear, toiletries, a bottle of water, your wallet, and a couple of granola bars. Your whole life was in that backpack.
“I’m sorry, Sam,” you said, adjusting the trap of your bag. “I guess it wasn’t meant to be.” You turned to Nat. “I’m going to stay at the hotel tonight, my shift starts at 6 so you’ll have the apartment to yourself.”
Without waiting for an answer, you disappeared into the crowd and headed for the door. Outside the wind was blowing, the cold air biting at your face and bare legs. You took a deep breath, watching as the cold air turned your breath into white smoke.
People were milling about, taking pictures of the skyscrapers, walking hand-in-hand and marvelling at pretty much anything. New York was full of contradictions; kind and hard, smooth and rough, poor and rich. It was exciting to live here, it was exciting to see how people lived together despite their differences. For an artist such as yourself, it was a gold mine of infinite inspiration.
In front of you, a taxi drove closer to the curb, then slowed as a man stepped onto the street and opened the door. He looked over his shoulder and saw you standing there. Sam’s friend smiled at you.
He noticed your light coat, your backpack and your scuffed ankle boots. It was hard to believe that under your coat, you were wearing a sexy little number. He imagined that this was more your style, and he liked it. It was fresh, laidback, casual. He could even see a few drops of paint on the toe of your boots, a smattering of orange and blue.
“Hi, again,” he said. “Wanna share a cab?”
You nodded eagerly, your face half buried in your scarf. You were positively freezing, you didn’t even think twice about following him. He let you climb in first and jumped in after you, angling his body to hide his missing arm.
You gave the driver the address of a Holiday Inn in the Flatiron District and sank into the seat. It dawned on you that you didn’t even know his name. Sam had called him Buck, but you were pretty sure it was one of those nicknames only long-time friends are allowed to use.
“Bucky,” he said with a genuine smile after you told him your name. “I’m sorry I ruined your evening. How long are you going to stay in town?”
“No worries, you didn’t ruin anything. And I live in New York. I live with Natasha.”
“Aren’t we going to a hotel?” Bucky asked, looking out the window with a frown.
“Yup, I work there. Breakfast attendant. I figured Sam and Nat would like some privacy and sometimes my co-worker at the front desk let me borrow a room for the night.”
The car pulled to a stop at the curb and you reached into the front pocket of your backpack to retrieve your wallet. Bucky stopped you.
“Please, let me pay,” he said. “As a sorry for dragging you to a bar and leaving without even telling you my name.”
“Ouch, yes, when you put it like that it wasn’t a great night,” you said with a crooked smile. He responded with an exaggerated cringe. It made you laugh. “Hey, it wasn’t you who dragged me to a bar, it was Sam. You can always tell him to pay you back.”
His eyes brightened. “I definitely will.”
“Goodnight, Bucky,” you giggled, closing the door behind you. You walked up to the big automatic doors and waved goodbye one last time.
“’Night, angel.”
Bucky asked the driver to wait until you were safe inside before driving away. As he watched you, he thought back to what you had said earlier.
Your chances are infinite. Anything can happen.
This time, it made him smile.

Slashers / Horror Villains as: Animated (Children’s) Movie Villain Songs
+ A Nightmare Before Christmas
First of all, its mostly Disney. Second of all, I hope you know that this was a struggle for me.
Also, note, Bubba will be the only Leatherface in this post and Billy and Stu will be the only Ghostfaces. There is Norma Bates though, so sort of a consolation.
There are links to videos on YouTube ^^
~~~
Billy Loomis and Stu Macher / Ghostface: Playing With the Big Boy’s Now (Hotep and Huy, Prince of Egypt)
Tumblr media
Well... they’re part of the ‘big boys’, now! They are part of the Slashers group that, uh, ‘inspired them’. Imagine instead of Egyptian Gods, they’re chanting Slasher names.
[HUY] Pick up your silly twig, boy [HOTEP & HUY] You're playing with the big boys now! Ha ha ha ha!
[EGYPTIAN PRIESTS] By the power of Ra Mut, Nut, Khnum, Ptah Sobek, Sekhmet, Sokar, Selket Anubis, Anukis Hemsut, Tefnut, Meshkent, Mafdet...
Chop Top and Nubbins + Bubba Sawyer / Leatherface: Kidnap Mr Sandy Claws (Lock, Shock and Barrel, Nightmare Before Christmas)
Tumblr media
I mean... they aren't Drayton’s minions, but they are like this XD
I say that we take a cannon, aim it at his door And then knock three times And when he answers Sandy Claws will be no more
Yes you're so stupid, think now If we blow him up to smithereens We may lose some pieces And then Jack will beat us black and green
Kidnap the Sandy Claws Tie him in a bag
Chucky / Charles Lee Ray: In The Dark Of The Night (Rasputin, Anastasia)
Tumblr media
Mystical man? Check! ‘Betrayal’ (As far as he sees it)? Check. Made them pay? Check; I think Nica, Sarah and all the other families he destroys throughout the franchise can attest to that. And ‘One little girl got away’? Well Andy isn’t a girl, but yeah. Check.
I was once the most mystical man in all Russia When the royals betrayed me they mad a mistake My curse made each of them pay But one little girl got away Little Anya, beware Rasputin's awake
Drayton Sawyer: Don’t Fall In Love (Forte, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas)
Tumblr media
Its such a crochety, unessessarily rude way of describing relationships to someone! I mean, I understand completely and resonate deeply with the desire to be alone and not be responsible for anyone else, but- come on! Beast doesn't share your view! Let it go!
Its just like Drayton’s reaction to Bubba having a crush. Super cool video too!
As soon as your heart rules your head Your life is not your own It's hell when someone's always there It's bliss to be alone
And love of any kind is bad A dog, a child, a cat They take up so much precious time Now, where's the sense in that?
Freddy Krueger: No More Mr Nice Guy (Rothbart, Swan Princess)
Tumblr media
A man with an uncomfortable relationship with the main female character pretending to be normal and not homicidal for a while before unlocking more power and letting there inner bad guy loose and taking great pleasure in it? Sounds familiar. They also have a similar vocabulary- except of course Rothbart is rated G.
I'll become that nasty, naughty, dirty, spiteful Wicked, wayward, way-delightful Bad guy I was born to be
Lyin' loathesome, never-tender Indiscreet repeat offender No more Mr Nice Guy That's not me
Inkubus: The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind (Professor Rattigan, The Greatest Mouse Detective)
Tumblr media
‘Inkubus’ is literally a movie about him listing all his crimes over the centuries and messing with the police force because he has a bone to pick with a detective. Sounds pretty similar to me! Listen to the song! ^^
Now comes the real tour de force Tricky and wicked, of course! My earlier crimes were fine for their times But now that I'm at it again An even grimmer plot has been simmering In my great criminal brain!
Jason Voorhees: Despicable Me (About Gru, Despicable Me)
Tumblr media
I... this is all I could think of!! But the more I listen to it and read the lyrics... it f i t s Jason so well! XD Please just let this slide; I know Gru isn't really a villain but he is at the start!! Let me have this.
Why ask why? Better yet "Why not?" Why are you marking x on that spot? Why use a blow torch isn't that hot? Why use a chainsaw? Is that all you got? Why do you like seeing people in shock? But my question to you is "Why not?" Why go to the bank and stand in line Just use a freeze gun it saves me time. I'm havin' a bad, bad day It's about time that I get my way Steam rollin' whatever I see, Huh, despicable me I'm havin' a bad, bad day If you take it personal that's okay Watch, this is so fun to see Huh, despicable me
Jennifer Check: Trust In Me (Kaa, The Jungle Book)
Tumblr media
She’s a succubus demon. Tempting boys into a safe-feeling, docile state so she she can strike is her thing.
Will cease to resist Just relax Be at rest Like a bird In a nest
Trust in me Just in me Shut your eyes And trust in me
Mayor Buckman and Granny Boone: Savages (Governor Ratcliffe and the Colonizer’s parts, Pocahontas)
Tumblr media
Obviously, because of the (Inaccurate) historical relevance of both movies (Different time’s, same terrible prejudice,) and also because there is definitely a very cult-ish feel about both Governor Ratcliffe’s song and Buckman’s leadership. How easily they’re able to gather support from their people for the most horrible reasons. How horrifying it is to audiences and historians.
They're only good when dead They're vermin, as I said And worse
They're savages! Savages!
Barely even human
Savages! Savages!
Drive them from our shore! They're not like you and me Which means they must be evil We must sound the drums of war!
Michael Myers: The Gospel Truth II (Muses about Hades, Hercules)
Tumblr media
In a Disney movie, Michael would have others sing his song about him as he goes about his silent, determined walking XD
If there's one God you don't want to get steamed up It's Hades 'Cause he had an evil plan He ran the underworld But thought the dead were dull and uncouth He was as mean as he was ruthless And that's the gospel truth He had a plan to shake things up And that's the gospel truth
Midnight Man: Oogie Boogie’s Song (Oogie Boogie, Nightmare Before Christmas)
Tumblr media
A song about a “Gamblin’ Boogie Man” is perfect for the Midnight Man! He and Oogie could be pals.
Woah! The sound of rollin' dice To me is music in the air 'Cause I'm a gamblin' Boogie Man Although I don't play fair It's much more fun, I must confess When lives are on the line Not mine, of course, but yours, old boy Now that'd be just fine
Norma Bates: Mother Knows Best Reprise (Mother Gothel, Tangled)
Tumblr media
Norma is soooooo so so so unbelievably manipulative towards Norman (And Dylan. It just works better on Norman) and this song absolutely presents that. She can go from sweet, loving mother to spiteful, heinous bitch in two seconds if Norman or Dylan don't do what or react the way she wants them to.
Likes you? Please, Rapunzel, that's demented
This is why you never should have left! Dear, this whole romance that you've invented, Just proves you're too naive to be here Why would he like you? Come on now, really! Look at you, you think that he's impressed? Don't be a dummy Come with mummy
Pamela Voorhees: My Lullaby (Zira, The Lion King 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a opposite approach to a villainous mother to Norma, we have Pam, who was heartbroken by the camp councillors letting her son die and vowed to get revenge. She didn't know she was teaching Jason to be the Crystal Lake killer like Zira did, but she did, and the whole song does have her kind of feel to it also.
Sleep, my little Kovu Let your dreams take wing One day when you're big and strong You will be a kingI've been exiled, persecuted Left alone with no defense When I think of what that brute did I get a little tense But I dream a dream so pretty That I don't feel so depressed 'Cause it soothes my inner kitty And it helps me get some rest
Patrick Bateman: Cruella De Vil (Arthur, 101 Dalmations)
Tumblr media
Never before was there a song that described audiences reaction to watching Patrick living in his daily life and hearing his thoughts better then this one.
Cruella De Vil Cruella De Vil If she doesn't scare you No evil thing will To see her is to Take a sudden chill Cruella, Cruella De Vil
The curl of her lips The ice in her stare All innocent children Had better beware She's like a spider waiting For the kill Look out for Cruella De Vil
Pennywise (Both): You’re Only Second Rate (Jafar, Return of Jafar)
Tumblr media
Mostly for the video and Jafar’s energy in this scene actually XD So many transformations, so many tasteless puns! I was going to give this to Freddy but its the closest thing to Penny I could think of.
Go ahead and zap me with the big surprise Snap me in a trap, cut me down to size I'll make a great escape It's just a piece of cake You're only second rate You know your hocus-pocus isn't tough enough And your mumbo-jumbo doesn't measure up Let me pontificate upon your sorry state You're only second rate
Sheriff Hoyt / Charlie Hewitt: Hellfire (Judge Claude Frollo, Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Tumblr media
A nasty filthy man who think’s he’s in the right despite being the biggest creep and monster ever? Mhm.
*Note: I honestly didn't notice the deformed baby, Quasimodo/Thomas link until the day after I wrote this. Don't know how I feel about it. I mean, Hoyt is actually nice, in his way, to Thomas so the connection isn't totally there but onwards:
Beata Maria You know I am a righteous man Of my virtue I am justly proud
Beata Maria You know I'm so much purer than The common, vulgar, weak, licentious crowd
End of Post! 🌼
(Bonus’ under the cut)
I did think of other connections which I obviously didnt landed on but still have merit! Here!
Billy Loomis and Stu Macher: ‘Gaston’ was considered, but that would have just been a joke XD I don’t think Stu is quite as obsessed with Billy as LeFou is with Gaston.
Chucky: Friends on the Other Side. Obviously! That link was actually what inspired me to make this post. In The Dark of Night fits to a T though.
Freddy Krueger: You’re Only Second Rate! Ah, its perfectttt. But No More Mr Nice Guy fits better. If I ever do a Slashers as Disney Villains post, he’ll be Jafar for sure. Or Hades. Or Scar. Or Oogie. Probably Hades. You know what? Without the gore and blood and explicit sexual references, Freddy could be a Disney Villain himself. Its not like Disney hasn't towed the line before with perverted villains. >_> (Jafar and Frollo)
Jason and Pamela Voorhees: Mother Knows Best! Of course.
Jennifer Check: Love is For Peasants (Barbie Island Princess) Because Jennifer thinks like this:
Men? <<< Literally anything else.
Patrick Bateman: How Can I Refuse? (From Barbie Princess and the Pauper) XD If Patrick were a kids movie villain, he would totally join the ranks of corrupted usurpers pretending to be trustworthy royal advisory staff. Also ‘Let It Die’, that little interruption part of another song that O’Hare sings in the Lorax and ‘How Bad Can I be?’.
Family Ties Chapter 9
Jay watched as Voight closed the door to his office leaving Brie and him alone. He heard her sigh as she tried to control her emotions. He knew from their previous conversations that she worried about effecting the work of the team and his plan would definitely affect the team. He knew her well enough to know her mind would not stop it’s spinning with thoughts until she talked it out. “Talk to me, Brie. I can hear your mind going from here.” He said moving to face her.
She stood and began to pace as he rested against the front edge of Voight’s desk watching her. “You are right about you being a good friend, Jay. But what if over this that changes? What if we end up hurting each other? I would hate to place that friendship at risk, it is too important to me. You are a person I value in my life that I would never want to lose. You, this team, our other friends, without them I would not have been able to change and hopefully get to the point I am currently after Michael. This whole plan has so many ways that people I care about that you care about could get caught in the crossfire. It scares me.” She said finally stopping in front of him.
He pulled her to face him holding her by her arms and moving her face to look in her eyes. “I promise that if nothing else I will always be in your corner, okay? And we will just have to be honest with each other. Just take things one day at a time and go from there, okay?” He said seeing her nod. He pulled her into a hug, and she laid her head on his shoulder. He felt her curl closer and move her hair. His nose was filled with her perfume again and he felt a sensation in his chest, and he promised himself he would never let her be hurt again.
At lunch, Brie went out with Kim and Vanessa. It enabled her to take her car home and get a change of clothes for after work. They reassured her that things would be okay and that her trust in the team and Jay would be rewarded. Kim offered to help Brie get ready for the evening since Brie and Jay had already agreed to hang out at Molly’s tonight after work but would grab dinner together before.
At the end of the day, Hank was ready to send them all home. Jay told Brie to go get changed and they would go grab a bite before heading to Molly’s. Kim took her hand and took her into the locker room and had her change out of her professional clothing first. Brie’s more casual outfit was a new one that she had bought with the help of her new friends from the unit to add to her confidence. Her jeans showed off her curves, the high heeled boots, and the top’s color enhanced her eyes. Kim helped her fluff and add body to her hair. Kim then showed her how to play up her eyes using the make-up she had and gave her a new lip-gloss that added color and shine to her lips. Kim then sprayed Brie’s perfume to increase the scent from the earlier application in the morning.
Kim walked out first as Brie gathered her things up from the locker room. She looked over at the mirror she had used earlier. She recognized the woman looking back at her. She didn’t exist 18 months ago but was getting stronger. Brie took a calming deep breath before she turned to exit the locker room and head back to the bullpen catching attention from her heels on the flooring. Smiles covered Hailey and Vanessa’s faces recognizing the new outfit they had helped her get. Kevin and Adam whistled. “Wow, been hold out on us, Brie.” Adam said joking with her making her smile.
Kevin called out, “Hey, Halstead. You are going to have to swat them off like flies tonight. She might actually be too good looking for an ugly guy like you.” He joked with them both causing Brie to slightly blush and laugh.
Jay had been in the break room and not seen Brie yet. She watched his face as he got his first look. He smiled back at her as she watched his eyes look over her clothes. He walked over to her and helped her with a light blue leather style jacket that added to her eyes that Vanessa had given her as a gift. “You do look great, Brie.” He said quietly. He was standing behind her when she moved to pull her hair from out of the back of the jacket causing her perfume to circulate around them again. She turned to face him, and he smiled and spoke. “You ready to go get something to eat?” She nodded and they walked down the stairs so that she could sign out before they left.
It was after dinner she started to relax. Jay made it easy for her to feel comfortable and feel safe. They had just calm quiet conversation about all parts of their lives and it made dinner fun. He enjoyed seeing her smile and laugh and she enjoyed his sense of humor and seeing his smile. She knew the test was not dinner but if they could make others believe it at Molly’s. As they arrived at Molly’s, he helped her from the truck and walked her in with his hand on her back. The warmth and protective nature of the motion made her smile and slightly blush.
As they entered, they were greeted by their friends. Brie found she felt better sticking with Jay and he often had his hand around her waist or on her back. The warmth that brought was comforting. She would occasionally glance over and watch his face as they spoke to friends. She smiled seeing the relaxation in his eyes as well as the sparkle that was there when he was joking with them. At one point, her stool was not close to his as it had been, and he gently pulled her closer. She breathed deeply as his cologne filled her nose. His smile at her made her feel special.
As the night came to a close, she found herself leaning on Jay’s shoulder taking comfort from his presence. She looked to him and spoke softly, “Jay. I’m exhausted. Can you take me home?” He wrapped an arm around her waist and moved to stand.
“Sorry guys. Time to call it a night.” He said as they walked side by side out of the bar. They exited out the door and he held the door for her.
As they walked hand in hand to his truck, she spoke. “Where next? My place or yours?” she asked.
“Let’s keep things simple, I keep a change of clothes in the truck. Why don’t we go to your place tonight? Okay?” he asked her.
She nodded and answered. “Okay.” He opened the door of the truck for her and helped her inside as they left to head to her place for the night.
She led them into her building and opened the door to her apartment. Once they entered and she locked the doors for the night, she showed him to the spare room. It was a simple and clean room that he could relax in. “Um, let me go grab you towels. There is a bathroom right across the hall, so we don’t have to share in the morning. Do you think you will need anything?” she asked him nervously.
He placed his hand on her arm getting her to bring her eyes up to meet his. “Hey. Just think of this as a friend crashing here for the night. Okay? We will take this one day at a time as we agreed. Okay?” he said to her.
She nodded and went to grab his towels bringing them back to the spare room. “I’ll let you settle in. I’m going to go get cleaned up and organized for tomorrow.” She said setting the towels down sliding from the room and heading back to her room. She closed her door with a sigh as she changed her clothes and got into her sleep shirt and shorts set. She grabbed an oversized sweatshirt to cover up with for when she left the room to set the coffee maker and her lunch. She washed her face and brushed out her hair pulling it on the top of her head with a clip until she went to bed. She emptied her bag from the district and pulled out a new change of clothes as well as a blue pair of slacks with light blue top for tomorrow at work. She pulled out her blue heels and slid sneakers into her bag with the change of clothes.
She opened her bedroom door and turned on her iPod in a dock as she walked into the kitchen. She set up the coffee maker for herself and Jay tomorrow morning as well as looked to see what she could organize as a lunch for herself. Once that was packed, she turned to organize breakfast and began to sing along to Peter Pan by Kelsea Ballerini filling the apartment with the sound. Then the tune changed to Dan and Shay’s Tequila adding a new note of pain to Brie’s voice. Jay cracked his door and listened as she sang along. She sighed as the song came to an end. She double checked the locks on her front door, the sliding door to her balcony, and turned off the lights heading back to her room. She left a small under cabinet light on in the kitchen before she went off to bed. As she walked past the spare room door, she knocked. “Hey, Jay. I’m headed to bed. I left a small light on in the kitchen. Is there anything you need?” she asked as he opened the door.
“Nah, I’m okay, Brie. Good night. Remember, I am here if you need me. Sleep well.” He said placing a kiss on her forehead. She blushed and smiled as she turned to enter her room. He watched until her door was closed and then left his door open to hear any noises as needed overnight.
He listened and heard her take medicine of some kind and then snuggle into the covers. He heard her breathing settle and finally fall to sleep.
Tumblr media
> pairing: min yoongi x reader
> genre: mostly angst, but a lil’ bit of fluff, too
> words: 8.3k
> warnings: blood, mentions of sex, car crash, violence, kidnapping, swearing
> summary: you had two options. number one: trust your desires and risk losing yourself. or number two: be rational about it and come to terms with the fact that, even though you’ve been dating for quite a while, he never uttered those three words, the ones you craved the most. and that’s not all he’s been keeping from you.
a/n: well, that’s a shitty summary. it’d be cool if you gave this a chance, though. i really enjoyed myself while writing it, especially towards the end. feedback is always welcome, it means a lot <3 anyways, thank you! hope you like it.
  [11:32 PM]
  You let the robe slip through your skin and immediately shivered. The bathroom was cold, and you were alone. Again. As your body sank in the hot, comforting water, you felt your muscles relaxing. It was like a hug, really. And you needed one. With a sigh, you went through the night in your head again. Every kiss, every touch. Sometimes it felt so meaningful, so real. So why didn’t he say it back? Why does he never say it back? You were exhausted from having to deal with those questions all the time. It was always at the back of your mind when you were with him, haunting, lurking. You never had the guts to be vocal about them, though. Wouldn’t be able to bear if you got the wrong answer, so it was best to give him time. How much more does he need, though?  Maybe he just didn’t. That thought made you shiver again, but not from the cold this time.
  “Angel”. Lost inside your own head, you didn’t notice when he entered the bathroom. He was so beautiful. Even when he didn’t mean to be – he hardly ever did, he was just so… himself. There was really no better way to put it. His dark hair was beautifully disheveled, covering his entire forehead. He wore grey sweatpants that hugged his hips perfectly. That sight alone made you want him again. “You’ve been there for a while now. Aren’t you coming to bed?”. It was so easy to pretend when he talked to you like this. To forget he never actually said he loved you, even though you’ve lost count on how many times that sentence had slipped through your lips. He’d always kiss you sweetly after that, but never uttered a word. For a while, you just thought he was having trouble expressing himself. He was never really comfortable when it came to opening up, letting his feelings on display. But as time passed by, you couldn’t find any more excuses. Deep down, you knew. You knew he couldn’t say it simply because he couldn’t lie. It has been that way for two years now.
  And, as much as it hurt in the beginning, nothing could compare to the pang you felt in your chest now. Because you just couldn’t picture your life without him anymore. You loved him too much, you could never recover from that, you were sure of it. He could destroy you completely if he said the right things. Or if he didn’t. So, every time your whispered confessions were met with a morbid silence and a few pecks on the mouth, your stomach churned. Suddenly it was cold poison in your veins, not warm blood. But he never seemed to notice. He hadn’t noticed much lately, always busy with work, always too tired to even give you a chance to say it out loud. Angel, I don’t think I’ll be able to come to dinner tonight, I’m sorry. I’ll make it up to you. He never did. He never tried. It was odd to have him home this time at night, really. For the past few months, you’ve hardly ever had time for each other.
“Yes. Yes, I’ll be there in a minute”, you tried your best to put out a convincing smile. He nodded and closed the door again. “God…”, you muttered under your breath. That night, when you finally escaped your prison of a mind, you found him already asleep. Except he wasn’t. He hadn’t been able to sleep much lately.
  [7:13 AM]
  The next morning, you woke up to an empty bed. His scent was still lingering, and it made you miss him even more. He used to wake you up with lazy kisses all over your face so you could have breakfast together – that often lead to the best morning sex, too.
   But dreamland must be put on hold now, you were late for work. Realizing that, you kicked the sheets off your body and rushed towards the bathroom for a quick shower. There was an important meeting that day and you definitely could not be late.
  You worked for a big publishing company as a personal assistant. Your boss, Michael Stewart, was a living breathing nightmare of and editor. And a jerk, but you were getting used to it by now. He liked his coffee black, no sugar. Suits him. His wife was the picture of perfection, but that never stopped him from crossing boundaries with some of his coworkers. Word on the street was that he was using his desk for shady purposes when a rather noisy Mrs. Daisy from the copy machine went to see him.
  “Y/N? Wait!”, a breathless Brianna called out, causing you to stop on your tracks.
  “Morning, B. What’s up?”, you offered her a heartfelt smile when she caught up to you.
  “I’m good, I’m good”, she smiled mischievously. “So, how’s mister sunshine today? I bet the prospect of this meeting is eating the man alive. I feel terrible for you.”
  “No, you don’t”
  “I don’t. But only because I love seeing him nervous. Seems like he’ll suddenly combust any moment now”, she whispered while the two of you entered the conference room, earning a little giggle from you.
  “Oh, the fine line between love and hate. I see right through you, miss B.”, you tried to taunt her.
  “Y/N, I swear to God…”, she seemed truly revolted by your words, but quickly recovered. “Well, it’s not my ass he eats with his eyes every now and then”, she teased. It made you want to regurgitate breakfast, but you let it go as soon as you saw him at the end of the table, looking quite pale and skittish.
  “Good morning, Mr. Stewart.”, you greeted him and placed his coffee on the wooden surface. He tried to give you his usual flirty grin, but failed. Instead, it came out as an awkward grimace. It was fun seeing him nervous.
   [10:47 PM]
  It had been a long day. Michael had put you through hell because, apparently, it was your fault that he had forgotten to bring the signed papers to the meeting. He was stubborn and could never bring himself to plead guilty for something he’d done, so you were always to blame when things went south. You hated that. Specially ‘cause you knew you could do his job better than he did. But patience is a virtue, so you just called your business partners and rescheduled. Which was a shame, you were really hoping to see how’d that particular book deal go.
  You entered the apartment with a deep sigh, dropping your keys on the balcony and getting out of your murderous shoes. Everything was dark, so you figured he wasn’t home. “Surprising”, you murmured to no one in particular.
  “What is?”, the unexpected answer made you jump on your feet.
  “Fuck”, you gasped, fear making it’s way to your voice and giving it a pitched quality. “Yoongi? Why are you in complete darkness? You scared the shit out of me”. You turned on the lights and finally situated yourself. He was sitting on his black armchair, eyes fixed on a glass of what you just assumed to be whiskey. Neat. Just how he liked it.
  “Sorry, angel. Didn’t mean to frighten you”, he said as he got up, walking towards you slowly, elegantly, awfully like a feline predator. Maybe a black panther. He cupped your face with his unoccupied hand and you immediately felt little shock waves spread through your body. His touch was warm and inviting, leading you to let out a shaky breath. You hated how a simple gesture of his had such an impact on you. You hated it. “Have you eaten?”
  “Um… No, not really. It was a busy day at the office. Have you?”
  “I haven’t. Thought we could order something”, he mumbled as he went to fix himself another drink. Don’t go. Touch me. I miss you. Instead, you said something like “It’s a little late, let me see if there’s something edible in the freezer”. It was so out of character for him to be home before midnight these days. He looked tired, dark circles under his eyes. His white dress shirt was wrinkled, his hair was pushed back and you could just tell that he’d been running his fingers through it multiple times. He looked stressed.
  “Did something… happen?”, you caught his attention while heating something up for the both of you. “I mean, you seem so tired, that’s all. I’m worried about you, baby”. Your last sentence was nothing but a whisper. He looked at you with a characteristic blank expression and opened his mouth a few times before finally speaking.
  “I’m okay. Don’t worry”. It hurt a little, how dismissive he was. And you didn’t foresee the anger that sparkled within you after hearing his words. You were tired, so fucking tired.
  “Bullshit”. The moment you said it, he snapped his head in your direction, surprised. Good. At least that kind of emotion he’s able to show. But before you could blink, he recovered his previous façade, and that made you angrier. Why the hell couldn’t he just open up to you? “Shit, Yoongi, it’s crystal fucking clear that you’re not telling me everything. In fact, you tell me absolutely nothing. What’s wrong? Don’t you trust me?”. You sounded defeated by the end of your little speech, and you could tell it got to him, but you didn’t stop. You couldn’t stop, not now, not with all the pent-up hurt, anger and fear. Fear of the truth you’ve been trying to look past, but couldn’t. “Do you not want this anymore, is that it? Do you even care at all??”, you were purposely avoiding the four letter word because it hurt just thinking about it. You were not ready to hear the answer.
  “Is that what you think?”, he was annoyed. “You think I don’t fucking care about this?”, a bitter laugh escaped him before he cupped your face with both hands and plunged his next words directly to your heart. “If I didn’t want you anymore, angel, it would be easier. Believe me, we wouldn’t be together a second longer”
   That stung. His last words cut deep, making it impossible for your built-up tears not to fall. That’s when he knew he had made a mistake. He could see the hurt in your eyes and he couldn’t bear it. So when you rushed upstairs without sparing him a second look, he felt something inside him churn. He fucked up, he always did. He wouldn’t even dare try to comfort you in that moment because he knew you needed space from him. He was absolutely sure that he was only going to make things worse if he went after you like he wanted to. He wondered how much of his shit you would take before you packed up and left. You wouldn’t be the first to abandon him, hell, his own mother did; so he’d like to pretend he was prepared. With that in mind, he grabbed his jacket and his car keys. He was definitely getting wasted that night and would probably end up sleeping at one of his friend’s. Maybe Jimin’s. He didn’t care.
      You couldn’t sleep. Not with the bitter taste on your tongue and the burning flame within your chest. You felt like falling apart. Hot, heavy tears tumbling down your puffy cheeks. It was tiring how you couldn’t stop your restless body from shaking, even though you craved some sleep, just so you could take your mind off it. Those exact words were thoroughly printed inside your mind.
  If I didn’t want you, it would be easier.
 Believe me, we wouldn’t be together a second longer.
  You did believe him. Shit, you probably knew that way before he said it, but you still didn’t know why. Why was he still with you? Gathering from what he said, your relationship was a burden.
  At some point, you were no longer crying, you were laughing. Hard. Maybe you were going insane, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. Thinking about tomorrow morning, you went downstairs to pop some pills, just so you could get some sleep. Your steps were careful, quiet. But, as soon as you got to the living room, you realized there was no use to being silent. He wasn’t there.
  [12:42 PM]
  It was lunch time when it happened. You usually ordered something with your coworkers, but you decided to grab some sushi at that restaurant you loved. Mr. Stewart was being a pain in the ass all day, but he did give you some extra time off because he had an appointment that afternoon, he wouldn’t need you for a while. You had asked Brianna to come along, but she had to catch up with some papers. At the end of the day, you were glad she couldn’t make it. No one to witness what seemed to be your whole world tumbling down, every plan you had made with him slipping through your fingers in the blink of an eye. In the touch of a hand.
  There he was. Through the glass wall, you could see he was tense, as if he was afraid of something or didn’t want to be there. You almost went over his table to check on him, willing to forget last night’s argument for a moment, to call for a truce, because you cared about him still. But then you noticed something important. He wasn’t alone. The woman in front of him was beautiful. Dark hair, olive skin, the prettiest red dress. She had her hand on top of his. That’s when you finally realized what was happening. In that moment, everything clicked. Why he had been so distant, why he would never confess. Why it was hard for him to stay.
For how long?
  Suddenly, you felt the urge to throw up. The whole situation was making you nauseous. You had to get out of there, but your feet wouldn’t move. You stood still for god knows how long, trying to digest what you were seeing. You hadn’t even noticed the tears, couldn’t feel them. You couldn’t feel much, it was all just a haze, like you’d dissociated. You didn’t hear him at first, acknowledging his presence only when he touched your shoulder.
  “Y/N?”, he said, confusion and concern lacing his tone.
  “J-Jungkook”, you stuttered. “Kookie! What are you doing here?”. When you realized who it was in front of you, you immediately threw yourself at his chest and hugged him tight, hiding your face in the crook of his neck.
 “What happened? Why are you crying?”, he couldn’t help the questions flying out his mouth. He hadn’t seen you in so long. He missed you. “Y/N, please… Talk to me. Are you hurt?”. The affection so raw in his voice, you couldn’t help but cry harder. You missed him, too. He pushed you slightly away so he could take another look at your face.
  “Oh, god… Oh my god, Kook, this is so fucked up. I’m so fucked up”
  “What are you talking about?”, his voice was soft, you could tell he was trying his hardest to soothe you.
  “I-I need to get out of here. Can you take me somewhere else?”
  “Yeah… Yeah, of course I can. Do you wanna go to my place so we can talk?”, you didn’t trust your voice, so you just nodded. “S’okay, noona. Look at me”, he cupped your face and brushed your remaining tears away. “It’s gonna be alright, I promise. I’m here for you, I’ll always be here for you”. It was reassuring, mostly because you knew it was true. He was safe. He felt like home.
  [1:53 PM]
  “He was… cheating on you? Y/N, you know I hate the guy, but that doesn’t sound like him at all. Are you sure?”
  “Pretty much”. It was hard to tell him. You felt like an idiot for trusting Yoongi for years, for loving him even when he didn’t love you back. It was hard to come to terms with that, let alone tell Jungkook. But you thought you would die if you didn’t talk to someone about this. And he was still your best friend, right? “I’m so stupid, Kook”, you let out a humorless laughter. “I wanted us to work out so bad that I didn’t even see it coming. But it was staring right at my face, really. God, I just can’t believe this”, your voice wavered.
  “No, don’t say that. Y/N, he’s a jerk. He’s the one who should be feeling stupid, not you. I knew I was right to hate him, I just knew it”, he seemed truly upset at this point.
  You took a minute to contemplate his apartment. While your house with Yoongi was neat and clean, Jungkook’s home had so much personality that you would think about him immediately even if you didn’t know who it belonged to. He hadn’t changed much since six months ago. He was still the same caring, funny, protective friend he’d always been. Even smelled the same. You felt bad for the distance that grew between the two of you. It was just that you were both so busy with work and stuff, it felt only natural. You’d never admit to anyone, not even yourself, that it also had to do with the fact that he and Yoongi didn’t get along. It was like Sophie’s choice, and maybe you had made the wrong one.
  “Kook, I missed you. I’m sorry for not trying harder to keep in touch”, you said before you lost the courage to do so. He seemed taken aback by your bluntness, like there was some secret agreement that neither of you would bring it up.
  “I missed you, too, noona. A lot. We should’ve both tried harder”
  “Yeah. It was stupid”
  There was a moment of silence. You were sitting at one end of the couch, while he was at the other. He wanted to give you space, always so considerate. But you needed your friend, so you threw caution out the window and crawled closer to him, clinging to his black shirt. He let you ball up against his chest and held you close.
  “Let’s watch a movie, shall we? And then I’ll take you home if you want to. If not, you’re welcome to stay for as long as you need. You know I’d love to have you”
  “Thanks for offering, but I’ve got to fix this. I need to confront him”, your heart was beating painfully faster just thinking about it. “I’ll take you up on that movie, though. Pleasure first, duty later, isn’t that what you taught me?”
  “You’re older. If anything, you’re the bad influence here”
  “I am three months older than you, Jungkook. I don’t even think it’s okay for you to call me noona”
  “Yeah, right. Whatever. Okay, so what do you want to watch?”
  “F-“
  “And don’t say Friends. I forbid you”
  You pouted. “But you know it’s my comfort show, Kookie”, you figured he’d give in if you whined a little, but the boy seemed resolute.
  “Yah, Y/N, how many times have you watched that?”. It was rhetorical. You didn’t even know and he was aware of it. “Have you seen Phantom Thread?”
  “I have not. And I don’t wanna watch your movies, they’re boring”
  “I resent you for that, by the way”, he scowled. “But you’ll like this one, I promise. I thought about you all the time while watching, it’s definitely one of yours”. You were touched that he thought about you in the past few months. If he could read your mind, he’d burst into laughter. Because you were always in the back of his mind, like a little ghost that kept him company even though he chose to ignore it.
  “Okay, I’ll pretend to trust you this time. But if I don’t like it we’re watching Friends until I leave, no bathroom breaks”
  “Sur-“
  “AND-”
  “Here we go”
  “You’ll have to admit that Chandler is indeed the funniest”
  “Hey, you know damn well that Joey is the funny one!”, he took his arguments very seriously.
  “Don’t get on my nerves, Jeon. Put your excuse of an entertainment on so I can tell you how bad it is and we can watch my show, hm?”
  “We’ll see about that”, he smirked mischievously.
  You spent the entire afternoon curled up on Jungkook’s couch watching his goddamn cult movie. He was right, you loved it. Although you couldn’t completely forget what was going on and how you ended up in that situation, you were somehow calmer. The worst part about taking big, important steps was deciding what to do and how to do it. At some point, it was eating you alive. You had to make a decision, an important one, but you were completely torn. Because the thing is, you loved Yoongi so fucking much. You sincerely could not envision how life would be like without him. But when you realized that even saying his name out loud tore your heart apart, you knew that he had made that decision for you; things would never go back to the way they were. It was over. That thought hit you so hard that you had to excuse yourself to the bathroom, so Jungkook wouldn’t see how exasperated you were. It was like a hole had been carved in your chest, one that would never completely heal. So you twisted your shirt with both hands in the spot where your heart was supposed to be; you had to keep it together. You had to survive this, even if you weren’t exactly sure how to do it yet.
  Thinking about it now, a couple of hours later, you felt relief. The hole was still there. The emptiness, the anguish, the excruciating pain, it was all there. The only difference was that you had already made peace with your fate. Not seeing him anymore was easier than being constantly reminded that you probably didn’t mean shit to him. That even if you did, it was not enough, it would never be enough for him to love you. You didn’t wanna fight it anymore because it was agonizingly painful and bitter. Maybe this is for the best. So when you left Jungkook’s apartment, it was with a placid sense of duty.
  [1:09 AM]
  When you arrived at home, you didn’t have the guts to turn on the lights. You calmly took your jacket and your shoes off, heading for the kitchen to get a glass of water; your throat was painfully dry. You leaned on the counter for a couple of minutes, heart rate through the roof, thinking that maybe he wasn’t even there. Either way, there was no point in stalling, you had to do it now. So you leisurely carried yourself to the bedroom, opening the door carefully. If he was asleep, you wouldn’t want to wake him up. If he was asleep, this… thing you were about to do would be considerably easier. Of course, luck was never your forte.
  “Your phone is off”. He was sitting in the armchair, a drink in his had and a bottle of whiskey on the desk. His black dress shirt was wrinkled and he seemed worried.
  “Yeah. It is”
  “Look, angel-“, he was getting up when you cut him off.
  “Don’t call me that”
  He seemed confused, and you could see a hint of hurt in his black orbs. “I know we’re not in the best place right now, and I wanted to apologize. I didn’t mean to hurt you the other night, and I know I did. I’m sorry”, he blurted out. He looked too sincere, and that caused your heart to constrict. Because you knew there was no way in hell he was being honest right now.
  “Let’s cut this short, okay?”, you said sternly. Suddenly you couldn’t stand the sight of him anymore. Your words must have surprised him, because he was looking at you with wide eyes, something just indecipherable about them. “I saw you today. I know what you did – or what you’ve been doing, I really don’t give a fuck about how long you’ve been at it. I saw you with her”. As soon as you uttered your last words, you recognized what was it in his eyes. Fear. He was afraid.
  “No, it’s not what you’re-“
  “Shut up. Just do us both a favor and shut the fuck up, Yoongi”, you whispered tiredly.  He could see it in your eyes that you had given up on him, that you didn’t even intend to fight him anymore. That caused a chill to run down his spine.
  “Please, just listen to me. I wasn’t cheating on you, I-“
  “Have you fucked her?”
  “W-what? No! Y/N, stop saying shit like that. I’ll explain whatever you need me to, but don’t jump into conclusions before I do so. I didn’t do it, I’d never do it”. He was closer now. You could smell the alcohol mixed with his scent, you could see how deep the dark circles under his eyes were. You could see honesty slipping through every word. Surprisingly, it didn’t change much. You wanted more. You wanted him, all of him. So in the last attempt to save your sanity (or ruin it entirely), you decided you had to ask. You just had to.
  “Do you love me?”. He froze, hands in the air trying to reach you. You had never confronted him about this and he didn’t see it coming. His hands fell to his side, closed fists. His eyes were bulged, breathing was erratic. It was all the answer you needed. You immediately felt the hole again, and you didn’t even realize when your hands made their way to your chest, just like it happened in Jungkook’s bathroom. A sob escaped your parted lips; you couldn’t be strong anymore. Through your blurry vision, you didn’t notice the panicked, pained expression he was wearing. You couldn’t know about the pang in his heart, or how hopelessly desperate he felt at that moment. It said it all, but you just couldn’t know.
  “I-I’m fucked, okay?”, he stuttered. “I’m fucked in the head, angel, it’s not about you”. You couldn’t process his words, didn’t want to. As you slid to the floor with a whimper, he grew desperate. “Please, you have to believe me. I’m begging you to understand, please, please…”. He wasn’t able to control himself and let out some tears of his own. Deep down, he knew why he couldn’t say it. It was not because it wasn’t true – he knew it was. Fuck, he was petrified. It’s for your own good, for your own good, I can’t do it to you, too. He didn’t know what to say anymore, so he just held onto you for dear life, hoping you’d give him a chance to redeem himself for all the shit he put you through. You just had to stay. You had to, he wouldn’t even dare to think otherwise.  You didn’t know how long you stood in that position, scared to move a finger, but you knew what you had to do. So you got up. It pained you to look at his face and see how truly devastated he was, but you were too far gone.
  “I don’t think we can get through this. I don’t know if we should”
  “Don’t say it. No”
  “I’m going to stay with Jungkook for a while. I ran into him today and he helped me a lot when I thought you were… you know”. Your voice was devoid of any emotion at this point. Too scared of being engulfed by the hole if you let yourself feel.
  “What? No! You know I don’t trust him, right?”. He was standing in front of you now, voice pitched and tear tracks staining his cheeks. “Don’t do this, Y/N, I can’t… I can’t even… No.”, he shook his head a couple of times.
  “It’s not up to you! Just looking at you is a constant reminder that you don’t feel the same as I do and I just can’t, I can’t do this anymore. Because, shit, I do, I love you so much, it’s killing me”
  “That is not true. I never said I didn’t love you, don’t put words in my mouth”, he was very serious now. But it didn’t matter.
  “You didn’t say you do, either. If you can’t even look me in the eyes after almost three years and say that you love me, I don’t think we can salvage this. So I’ll just take the hint before I get my ass kicked”
  “How can you even say that? I don’t want to break up. You don’t understand, but please, trust me. Just trust me”
  “You’re right, I don’t understand. But I can’t wait around until you figure it out”. You grabbed the bag that was on top of the wardrobe and opened the zipper.
  “For fuck’s sake, just stay home! It’s almost two in the morning, we can talk about this tomorrow, please”, he tried to persuade you, but you didn’t listen. You picked out a few clothes and your toothbrush, closing the bag when you were done. “Y/N…”, he followed you to the door. It was obvious that he was crying, and even though it broke you to leave him like this, you felt like you would lose your mind if you stayed. So you just climbed down the stairs, bag on one hand and keys on the other. You tried to open the front door, but he stopped you.
  He was a mess. Bloodshot eyes, trembling hands. So unlike him that you were a little taken aback by the sight. But you were sure you looked a lot worse, though. “Don’t leave me”. His voice was small. He seemed a bit smaller, too; like a child, scared of some imaginary monster. But he wasn’t a kid anymore, and the monster was real. Too real. “Angel, how am I supposed to live without you?”
  “You’ll do just fine”, you said in a husky voice. You didn’t want to wait for a response, so you just closed the door in his face and ran to your car.
  Already halfway to Jungkook’s house, you decided to just ignore your shaky hands and faltering voice and dialed his number, but your call went straight to voicemail. Which was strange, because he knew you were coming over. “Hey, Kook. I’m sorry if I took longer than expected, I hope I’m not waking you up or something. I’m on my way. And… Thank you so letting me stay a couple of days, really, it means a l-“, you couldn’t finish. It all happened so quicky, your mind wasn’t fast enough to keep up. A pickup truck had deliberately hit the back of your car, as if trying to get you off the road. You lost control for a second, the vehicle doing little zigzags, but soon regained it.
  “WHAT THE FUCK?!”. Your heart was pounding, almost hurting your ribcage. At first, you thought it had been an honest mistake, but that idea escaped your mind soon enough. Something was seriously wrong, and you didn’t want to find out why you were being targeted. The truck was still on your tail, so you didn’t have much time to think. You sped up, in order to put some distance between you and the stranger on the wheel, but they picked up the pace as well. “Shit, shit, shit”. The adrenaline was rushing through your veins like a drug, and you couldn’t keep your hands steady. You had dropped your phone when you startled, so you fumbled through the car floor trying to find it. That’s when they hit you again, this time a lot more brutally. You whimpered, trying to maintain control of the car even though you were scared to death. What the hell is going on?!
  As you stepped harder on the throttle, you decided you had to contact somebody, anybody, a terrible feeling creeping up your spine. You fumbled again, only this time you were able to grasp your phone. The call had been cut off, so you searched for his contact. You needed him, no matter what happened earlier, you needed him. And you knew he would come. Your whole body was trembling and the truck was getting dangerously close again, you had to be fast. You held the phone to your ear with shaky hands. He answered almost immediately.
  “Y/N?”, his voice was rough.
  “Yoongi!”, yours was desperate. “Yoongi, something’s going on…”, in that moment, the truck hit the rear of your car again and you screamed. He sobered up instantly.
  “What?! What’s happening, where are you?!”, he sounded hectic.
  “I’m on the Fourth, someone’s after me. L-Like, a truck! A truck hit my c-car, I-“, you tried to make sense through heavy breathing.
  “Fuck”, you heard him tripping through the bedroom, trying to put some clothes on. “Angel, listen carefully. Do you remember when we got lost near Target’s? We ended up in a wasteland, remember?”
  “Y-Yes!”
  “Good. I need you to go there, okay? I’m coming for you, baby. Okay? I won’t let anything happen, I promise”, you could already hear the engine starting and that soothed you a tiny bit. You trusted him with your life. It would be okay, he was coming.
  “Y-Yeah, okay”, you couldn’t stop the tears. “Yoongi, what’s going on?”, the words left your mouth almost like a whimper.
  “I’m sorry, love. I’ll get you out of th-“
  But you weren’t listening anymore. This time, when they hit the rear again, you lost control. The car spun like crazy and you could hear Yoongi yelling something through your screams. You tried your hardest to get on track again, but couldn’t. All you could think about was how wrong this all was. You wished you had stayed home like he asked. Before you could have a reasonable train of thought, you hit something. Your head jerked towards the steering wheel and it all went dark.
  [2:17 AM]
  He was going crazy. He was absolutely losing his mind.
  “FUCKING HELL!”, he hit the steering wheel an abnormal amount of times while making almost a hundred miles per hour. He had to keep his mind clear and sharp, he couldn’t let his emotions cloud his judgement, not with your life on the line. Still, all he could think about was how scared you sounded, how raw your screams were. How he stopped breathing right away when he heard the loud crash, how he shouted your name a million times asking what happened. He was sure he would go insane when you didn’t answer. You had to be okay, anything other than that was not an option. He wouldn’t let his mind go there, now was not the time to lose control. Yet.
  He knew who it was inside that truck. It had to be her or someone doing her dirty work. If anything happened to you, he would kill them. He would kill all of them, and then he would kill her. He would take his time with it, too. You had never seen him this angry, he always kept himself together when he was with you. But now he was furious. He felt like he could burst in rage anytime now.
  “Shit, fuck, fuck”, he couldn’t keep his mouth shut because it was all too silent. He lost connection with you after a few minutes and he just felt sick to his stomach. Lost in thoughts and trying to focus on the road, he startled when his phone rang. He hesitated for a moment before picking it up, the number was unknown. “Yes?”
  “Honey, I already miss you”. He felt his blood boiling to the sound of her voice.
  “Where is she?”, he roared.
  “Don’t you miss me?”, she whined. It was disgusting.
  “Mura, I am being very patient, but don’t mess with me. I swear to God, if you hurt her…”, the threat was evident in his tone, and anyone but her would be shitting themselves. But she loved him too much to care. He wouldn’t really hurt her, right? They were meant for each other.
  “She’s here, darling. And she’s so annoying, too. Had to shut her up a couple of times”. He growled, knuckles white as he pressed the wheel tighter.
  “Tell me where you are”
  “Are you coming to see me?!”, she seemed thrilled as she clapped her hands and made happy noises. “I’m at the warehouse, honey. Where else would I be?”
  “Don’t move. And Mura…”
  “What is it, honey?”
  “Don’t think I won’t kill you, yeah? I’m warning you, if she has as much as a scratch, you’re dead. I won’t think twice, you hear me?”, his voice was dark. There was no doubt he meant it.
  “Oppa, you can’t talk to me like that! But I forgive you… I know she must have something against you, you couldn’t possibly love her. You already love me, darlin-“
  “Shut the fuck up. I’m almost there”
  He felt like he could finally breathe now. You were alive.
  [2:27 AM]
  Your entire body hurt. There was something hindering your vision, and when you realized what it was, your stomach churned. Blood. There was a deep cut near your hairline from when you hit your head. You were tied to a chair, the ropes too tight on your wrists and ankles. When you looked around with the eye that wasn’t completely covered in blood, your stomach sank. It was dark and humid, the cold punishing your sensitive skin. You were scared. Where was Yoongi? What happened and where the hell were you?
  “Hi, there!”, a high pitched voice startled you. It was a woman, beautiful dark hair, olive skin… Wait, what?
  “Wh-“, you tried to talk, but your voice was raspy and rugged. “Who are you?”, you tried again, barely succeeding.
  “I’m Yoongi’s girlfriend. Who are you?”
  “You’re w-what?”
  “His girlfriend, darling”, she laughed melodiously. “My name is Mura, what’s yours?”
  Your brain was operating a hundred miles an hour. What the fuck was going on? Had he lied? Had he been lying to you this whole time? It was too much, too overwhelming. You just wanted to lay on your bed and sleep forever. Every single part of your body was sore and cold, your head was killing you and you were emotionally exhausted.
  “What am I doing here? Where are we?”
  “Honey, you have so many questions. I intend to answer every single one them as long as you answer mine, okay?”. You hated her already. And not just out of jealously, but because she was so irritating, too. You wanted to shut her up with your fists, but you were in no position right now. Instead, you just nodded. “Alright. Now tell me, when did you and Yoongi meet?”
  “Three years ago. A friend introduced us”
  “I see. So you two are together now? You’re dating, is that it?”
  Your answer hurt, you felt a pang in your chest. “No, we broke up”. She was silent for a moment, as if processing your words. And then she laughed.
  “Is that so, darling? You shouldn’t lie to me. I’m trying to be good, but I don’t think I can hold back for much longer”
  “What the fuck are you talking about?”. Just as you finished speaking, she made a move with her hands. Suddenly you notice a gigantic man guarding what you suppose to be the entrance. And he was walking towards you.
  “Hirashi, the girl lied to me. Can you believe that?”
  “That’s not good, ma’am”, his voice was deep, scary. Every cell of your body was telling you to run as fast as you could. But you were stuck. “Do I have your permission, ma’am?”
  Permission for what?
  “Yes”. You didn’t even have time to react before his fist stroke your face. You couldn’t breathe, all the air escaping your lungs as you lose your balance and hit the malodorous floor. You gasped, your head spinning and your jaw burning from the impact.
  “Are you ready to tell me the truth now? Because I’m pretty sure he didn’t mention you two breaking up”
  You tried to form a coherent sentence and couldn’t do much. You were in too much pain, your jaw was on fire. “W-we d-did”. At your words, she sighed.
  “Fine. If that’s how you want it, that’s how it’ll be. Either way, it doesn’t matter anymore. I was never gonna let you out of here alive anyways”, her words petrified you. You knew she meant them. “I’m sure Yoongi won’t mind. He doesn’t love you, after all”
  He doesn’t love you
  He doesn’t love you
  He doesn’t love you
  It hurt more than it was supposed to, because you already knew that. No, he didn’t love you. But he cared for your life, right? The thought made you laugh. If he cared for your life, he would be here. If he cared for your life, he wouldn’t let his… girlfriend kidnap you and have her way with you. If he loved you, he would’ve said so. So yeah, maybe he wouldn’t mind at all. Tears stung your eyes and you barely saw when Mura signaled to Hirashi again.
  “Finish it. I want to go home and cuddle with my man”
  Oddly, you weren’t scared. Hell, after all you’ve been through tonight, maybe death wouldn’t be so bad. But then he kicked you the first time. You let out a painful yelp, sure he had broken a few ribs. And then came the second. The third. You couldn’t take it, it was agonizing.
  “P-Please, just… j-just kill me already”, you blurted out, praying for his mercy. Just do it. Do it quickly, please, just do it.
  [2:35 AM]
 As soon as he saw the abandoned warehouse Mura used for her… activities, he peeled out, leaving long tire marks on the road. He rushed out of the car, not caring enough to close the door. That’s when he heard the first scream. His heart was pounding in his chest, heart constricted and throat dry. He ran inside, not wanting to waste any more time.
  “P-Please, just… j-just kill me already”. First, he heard your pleading. His blood was already boiling, fists closed tight, anger slowly taking over him. But nothing could prepare him for the moment he saw you all curled up on the floor, shirt ripped and bloody, your beautiful face starting to swell, a purple eye. He went livid and stopped on his tracks. That day, a part of him died. It was like someone had ripped his heart and stomped on it over and over again. His immediate reaction was to go for the son of a bitch who was doing that to you. He knew his name. Hirashi. A dead man walking. When his fist first collided with Hirashi’s face, he fell to the floor. In the back of his mind, he registered Mura’s gasp. He was a mad man now, growling and punching the other ruthlessly. There was blood everywhere, and this time they were not yours.
  “Yoongi, you’re gonna kill him!”, Mura yelled.
  “Yes”, another punch. “I am”, he was strangling him now. He was blind by rage, every ounce of his body seeking revenge.
  “Y-Yoong-gi”. The angel said and he froze, loosening his hold on the other’s throat, making him gasp as he searched for air. He looked at you and the anger was overpowered by a lot of feelings. Guilt, sadness, fondness. Love. It should be him in that state, not you. Never you.
  “I’m sorry”. He crawled towards you, splashes of blood all over his face and his shirt. You looked… broken. It devastated him. After untying you carefully, he held your upper body on his lap and removed a few hair strands of hair from your face. “I’m so, so sorry, angel. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry”, he chanted. “I love you so much”, his voice broke. “I really, really do”
  “H-Home”, you whispered.
  “Yes, love. Let’s go home, I’ll take you home, okay? I’ll take care you”, he promised. He took you in his arms and you whimpered. It all hurt so much. You don’t think you’ve ever been in so much pain before. He scowled, guilt plastered on his pretty face. “Sorry”. He had a lot to be sorry for, didn’t think this lifetime would suffice if he wanted to redeem himself. But he would find a way.
  “Yoongi, where are you going?!”
  “Mura… remember what I told you. I’ll come for you soon. Let Hirashi know that I’m not done with him either, will ya?”. She didn’t reason. Perhaps too scared, now that she saw that he wasn’t joking. He would come for her. And she had to make some arrangements to vanish for a while. Until his rage subsides and he can love her again, that is. In her mind, she knew he would. He just needed some time, and she had plenty.
  After the both of you left, she made a call. It went straight to voicemail. Stupid boy, didn’t he know how to make business? Phones on at all times. She hated leaving messages.
  “It didn’t work, J. They left”
  [7:39 AM]
  Your entire body hurt like hell, that was the first thing you noticed. The second was a warm hand intertwined with yours and a soothing breathing hitting your shoulder now and then. You opened your eyes cautiously, afraid of something you couldn’t quite pinpoint. He was sitting in a chair beside you, head resting near the crook of your neck, hands in yours. He was asleep, but as soon as you moved a little, his eyes shot open. He startled, correcting his posture immediately, and then he scowled. The position he had slept in wasn’t the most comfortable. He looked at you like you were his whole world, and you wonder how you never noticed it before. His feelings were crystal clear.
  “How… How are you feeling? The doctor came by earlier when we got home. You were passed out, though. He said that you had a few broken ribs and a twisted ankle, but these were the most serious injuries. I mean, you’ve got a purple eye, too, and your jaw is a little swollen, but-“
  “Yoongi”, you cut his blabbering off. You predicted the diagnosis, but it was still good to know. For a moment there, you really thought you would die. It was good to know you didn’t.
  “Yes, my angel?”, his voice was soft, feelings pouring through them.
  “Did you mean it?”
  He didn’t have to ask what you meant, he already knew. “Every single word. I love you, Y/N. I have loved you since the beginning, I just… couldn’t say it”. Your heart skipped a beat at his words. You didn’t think he would ever know how much of a hold he had on you.
  “Why couldn’t you say it?”
  “Because… Because everyone I love leaves eventually, one way or another. I couldn’t lose you, too. And yet, I almost did”, his voice faltered near the end. He was being so raw, so honest. You could see in his eyes that he was telling the truth. He really was. But his words hurt you a little, too. You knew he was talking about his family. Yoongi rarely talks about them, but you know enough.
  “I’m sorry, baby”
  “No, don’t say that. It’s me who has to apologize. I shouldn’t have let you leave when I knew she had found out about us. I promised I’d keep you safe, but I couldn’t”. Suddenly, you remembered. Mura.
  “Was she really your…?”
  “No. Mura and I never had anything. We met six years ago on a business trip, but I didn’t… I never slept with her. When I rejected her, she became obsessed. She followed me around for a couple of years, but she had already left me alone when I met you. She came back… when she learned that I was with someone else. Her father is a very powerful man, and she is clearly spoiled, so I didn’t want to make things worse. I didn’t want to confront her because I was afraid of what she might do to you. Look how that turned out”, he laughed bitterly.
  “Don’t blame yourself. Please”
  “How could I not? You’re hurt because of me”, his face was twisted in an anguished grimace. You couldn’t stand it. Yes, he had hurt you. But what happened last night with Mura was totally different. You held his face with both hands and pressed your lips gently against his. He groaned. “I don’t deserve you”, he said, lips still lingering in yours.
  “But you got me”. He smiled big, the prettiest gummy smile you had ever seen. God, you adored him. It was easier to understand him now that you knew his reasons. You couldn’t not forgive him. He was your whole heart.
  “I forgive you, but you can’t keep secrets from me anymore. Okay?”
  “Yes, ma’am. I wouldn’t dare”, then he pecked your lips sweetly.
  “And you gotta tell me you love me every day now. You owe me. For all the time I lost”. Sadness crossed his features, but he let it go soon enough.
  “I love you, my angel”, he pecked your nose. “I love you”, your cheek. “I love you”, your forehead. “IloveyouIloveyouIloveyou”, finally, your lips. You giggled.
  “Thank you”
  “You’re welcome, miss”, he said as he got up. “Would you like me to prepare you a bath?”
  “Extra bubbly, mister”. He smiled and entered the bathroom.
  After a few moments, he came back wearing a mixed expression.
  “Y/N, I was thinking… How did Mura know where to find you? She wasn’t anywhere near the house when you left, I am sure of it”
  “Uh… I don’t know”, you were confused. His question made sense, no one else knew where you were going, except for J-
  His eyes bulged, so did yours. You could tell he had come to the same conclusion as you.
  “Fuck”, you both said at the same time.
