oh look, i have replied to an ask. there are more to reply to! i wish to say hello and thank you to everyone who has sent me one during these months when i have been AWOL.

tl;dr i was, i have since established, pretty burned out. not a shock! given that i spent the pandemic speed-writing a star war and finishing up Archive. and also given that publishing one's first book tends to put one through the brain wringer.

also i got a job at wotc (doing something very uncool but extremely satisfying for pattern brain), which means i am obligated to take their social media best practices into consideration, which specifically means not posting with your full government unless you've declared yourself an employee. so! i was kind of using that as an excuse to not post at all! haha! it was good for me though. and i am back here specifically (and mayyyyyy consider going back on bluesky, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).

although unforch i am here in part bc i am avoiding writing. oops!

(i am finishing up a commissioned short story and owe editor carl a couple outlines in feb. one of the outlines for a book that i will hopefully be co-writing with my much funnier wife. you guys will like it i think.)

We don't directly have a song about a vampire and a werewolf together (yet), but we do have some new songs in the works: One about a vampire, one about a werewolf, and some others. (But if we did write that song, they'd definitely be in a polycule together.)

Realistically speaking we probably won't have any new recorded music until sometime next year. But we may play some of the new songs at our upcoming live shows if you happen to be in the Bay Area! Our next show is a Halloween show on Thursday, 10/24 at the Ivy Room in Albany, CA.

We're also currently sourcing ideas for band costumes, so if you have any ideas for a 6-person group costume, let us know <3

Hello, this is my blog

So, basically Instagram was freaking me out a bit with the no opting out for AI scraping, so I'm gonna be posting my stuff here now where I can at least opt-out.

Here is some stuff I've been up to since my last Instagram post, which was a while ago.

I've been working on an animated musical short project called La Strega, making designs and world building for an upcoming project, and doing some rewrites on my comic.

Sorry I've been away for awhile, sometimes I get so busy that I forget to update this blog.I had a nice vacation, very relaxing. I had a lot of PTO, too much actually, so I took two weeks off. A week in my favorite part of the forest with Lucky, who did so incredibly well out there, and another just milling around ABQ, again with Lucky, who did so well in Old Town. She really loved the attention she got from the people there.

But the moment I got back to work, it was back to business again with little thought to to the internet. I take my duties very seriously. I mean, anyone would when you work in a place that once harbored an orb that can give you a lethal three dimensional sunburn.

During my off time I also squeezed in an urbex trip. I have a bunch of footage to share. I'll get them up around this week.
